Side by side headlines in the U.S. version of the Daily Mail earlier this week:

From my new column in Taki’s Magazine:

The End of Gentrification
Steve Sailer

June 17, 2020

What happens to America’s big blue cities when The Establishment switches sides from the cops to the blacks? Our elites appear intent on trying that experiment once again, although we have been through a couple of highly relevant historical examples that they ought to recall first.

Read the whole thing there.

  1. “..they seem surprised that the law applies to them too”. Frankly, that also applies to a lot of their white “allies”. Rules are for Other People.

  2. In one form or another, segregation may return. It may come after a long period of Black privilege has ravaged Whites. And it may not be called by that name. But it’s hard to see how there won’t be a reaction to what’s going on by White working and middle classes.

It probably won’t happen soon, but who knows. Most Whites are full of resentment. That coupled with a big increase in Black crime could lead to an inflection point.

And it also feels like the anti-White crowd has its hands full shutting down every last avenue for Whites to speak freely. That itself could lead to a combustible situation.

  3. Interesting new perspectives.

  4. Oluwatoyin “Toyin” Salau, a missing BLM activist, found dead…..The puzzling thing is that it wasn’t the Klan who killed her for speaking out:

  5. The current riots have done much to fortify black control of their neighborhoods. It’s probably not a coincidence that the current endemic riots broke out not in a decaying Rust Belt town, but in Minneapolis, which has been the most prosperous city in the Midwest over the past decade.

A worldwide first. And a tip-top-insight on top of that. – And yeah, the last sentence of this brilliant column about the law***** has something going for it too, unfortunately. –

It is a cycle. They have to tank urban real estate prices in order to buy them up cheap, in order to gentrify increase police presence) and sell at a profit. It’s the same dishonest manipulation they do with the stock market. Tank it, buy it all up, inflate it.

It’s not even a sophisticated scam. But the people that run the scam run America. Every U.S. politician has been thoroughly discredited. Stop voting. Stop putting your faith in liars. When they have their girly little “town hall” meetings, show up and tell them they are scum. That’s all we have left.

It is telling that Florida Democrats have worked tirelessly to restore voting rights for convicted criminals despite county district attorneys, sheriffs and judges all holding elective office, they do not lift a finger to restore drivers licenses ( or the right to own firearms) to those too poor to pay off their traffic or other court ordered fines. Instead they keep these poor souls on a legal treadmill. License suspended and you get arrested and fined again if you are caught driving to work. OTOH so great is the need for the Democrats to get the felon vote they want to waive any fines or requirements to pay restitution so thieves, drug dealers even killers can turn out to vote.

  8. I was wondering about the same thing. What happens to gentrification — and Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing — when The Powers That Be cause this destruction of that desirable real estate and the accompanying fear and loathing that comes with the riots?

What is the plan? What’s the frequency, Kenneth?

What I really care about is not having the shock troops come to my peaceful, rural exurb.

  9. Steve, you made a couple of mistakes in this article. Way before Lindsey there were no mixed race neighborhoods in NYC. Crime in white neighborhoods were committed by blacks and browns who lived elsewhere: robberies and assaults in the street. And of course crime was even more rampant in black and Puerto Rican neighborhoods with many burnt down buildings which you could see from the NY Central train that went north past the Bronx on the way to New London Hartford and Boston. Crime and non-functioning police were worse under Wagner who preceded Lindsey. Police cooping their entire shift in their patrol car was common.

On a related subject, is it not interesting to live in these times facing unknown permutations of our country?

  10. MEH 0910 says:

Most notoriously, in New York City murders grew sharply in the early 1960s, from 390 in 1959 to 634 in 1965, before exploding under the new liberal Republican mayor John Lindsay, reaching 1,691 in 1972.

Lindsay, a handsome WASP, had sided with blacks against the city’s Irish policemen and Jewish school administrators.

Mayor Linseed is in Gordon’s office, and he’s not sanguine about his reelection chances. According to a Gallus poll, Penguin’s at 60%, with Linseed only at 30%. Seven percent are undecided, and 2% are for Harry Goldwinner, a monarchist candidate. (The three Gallus representatives don’t account for the remaining 1%.)

These people assume the cops are the bad guys, and those poor disenfranchised people on the corner are akin to noble savages.
Newsflash; inner city residents hate them as much as they hate the cops.

Right now this is all fun and games, protests, rallies, riots. But these gentrifiers moved into communities made safe by police enforcement. When that goes away, so will the fun and games. When you get burglarized or robbed or worse regularly, suspect many will reconsider living here at all. Personally all the white people I know are committed to anti-racism. For example white parents teaching their kids about slavery and making sure there schools are sensitive to the non-white students in there majority white schools. The white females I know only date Black guys. They will all vote democrat. This is to say nothing of People of Color.

Everyone wants to take down racist statues and rename things. They are committed to looking forward not backwards. They realize the error of there ways. There is no debate only equity.

Most white people I know are discussing white privilege. They have stated that they would prefer voting for Candidates of Color. They complain about the homogeneity of there neighborhood.

Hillary’s Revenge. Instead of actually, like, campaigning, Hillary spent the last several weeks of the 2016 election basically making a music video- I remember seeing bits of the large, exquisitely-staged Bruce Springsteen concert in Philadelphia (and quite liking it, despite being more of a John Mellencamp man myself), and that was 3 days BEFORE the showstopper, bringing down-the-house coronation at the Javitts Center, with shattered glass confetti raining down on the jubilant “I’m with Her’ers”- isn’t that Cher? Isn’t that Katie Perry making out with Madonna?

The Clintons being such inveterate, trashy, celebrity-chasing star [email protected] (interesting how many major movies and TV shows have been made about them- THE WAR ROOM, THE AMERICAN PRESIDENT, THE WEST WING, MADAME SECRETARY- while the only media properties so far based upon the boring-as-dirt Obamas has been Dinesh D’Souza’s hostile documentary) it is no surprise that so much effort was wasted on pageantry- hilariously there was a whole big-spread, ready-to-print article about how Team Hillary’s big brain “Ada” supercomputer program STEM’d and “Future is Female”’d her way to stereotype-shattering gal-gebraic electoral Nirvana- until, you know, the whole thing kinda peta-flopped.

To me, though, probably the most substantive bit of Hilary 2016 spectacle was Lena Dunham hanging out at Clinton Brooklyn campaign headquarters, because that reeked of another 4-8 more years of crass, New Democrat hyper-gentrification, with another New York burrough and- hey! throw in a DC quadrant while you’re at it- ethnically cleansed for white and Asian VOX freelancer hipsters to colonize, telling us how everything has never been better, unless you’re some loser living in a recently Affordably Furthered Housing/race riot’d nowhere berg, in which case you deserve whatever you get for not seeking out big city lofts and “Mandarin immersion” magnet schools for your kids which just happen to be 95% NAM-free.

We’ve all seen this before- gentry liberals patting themselves on the back while the cities burn until everyone is so sick of the crime and chaos that even Hollywood gets in on the pro-police/pro-law & order bandwagon- how many movies were made between the 70’s and 90’s with an audience-pleasing scene of a cop brutalizing a suspect in some creative but plausibly deniable way even as he’s ironically reading him his Miranda rights? My sister lives in a very nice town in Bergen County, New Jersey. Houses for sale are being bought up quickly by two-percenters fleeing NYC. Realtors have clients from NYC willing to pay cash for the asking price. She said a house a block over from her was up for sale a while ago and because it wasn’t getting any play the owners took it off the market. The asking price was $2 million. Recently a real estate agent remembered the house was taken off the market and contacted the owners and asked if they were still interested in selling. They agreed. The house was sold for cash that day. The buyer was moving out of Brooklyn.

Ever Tucker is looking to get out of the city— in his case D.C.— though I think cities like D.C. and Honolulu will be outliers in the end-of-gentrification trend for obvious reasons.

One critical difference from the 1960s.

Jews now have a massive brown criminal and working class to do their bidding for them in regards to moving blacks out of the blue megalopolises and off prime urban real estate.

Since there are no jobs in the black neighborhoods in Chicago working class blacks must commute by car or public transportation to increasingly Hispanic parts of town. Since the city allowed blacks to destroy what little retail and grocery left in their neighborhoods black must now leave the safety of their neighborhoods just to shop.

Great idea to let black hoods riot and loot all over town and then expect Hispanics to then just let any black, criminal or not, step in and out of their turf on a daily basis. The parts of Chicago that have the blue collar jobs are increasingly in Hispanic neighborhoods. Just look at the areas on the far westside all around Midway airport.

Mayor Groot expects the CPD to prevent Hispanics from shooting blacks when they enter their neighborhoods. Not after blacks have been doing drive-bys in Mexican neighborhoods.

This time around demoralized/defunded/de-unionized Cops will skip the donuts and just sit back and GRILL while enjoying the action.

A year from now working class blacks, perhaps even criminal blacks will be begging for the cops to help save them from Hispanics. But the only folks the CPD will be protecting are the Mexican construction workers as they rehab the black ghettos. And if the CPD is not up to the task, Jewish developers will hire private firms or even Latino gangbangers to provide security.

And yes, Jews will rely on stupid cat ladies and soy boys in smaller, less enriched, mid-west cities and towns to permit the relocation (exodus?) of the black underclass now re-marketed as refugees from Chicago. Jews will get massive government handouts to buy up, redevelop black neighborhoods and then make billions more once the blacks are moved out. Chicago’s gain will be Indianapolis’s loss.

Both parties are now hell bent on destroying the country with another mass amnesty. Jared Kushner and Conservative Inc want one last FU signal to white America for backing Trump. Stupid black politicians will be all on board.

But when that happens the days of Black political power in Chicago at least are over. Goodbye Groot!!! Goodbye Groot!!!

I expect Chicago to loose 20% of its black population in the coming decade.

The civil rights revolution of the 1960s was designed to destroy white urban ethnic neighborhoods, “The Slaughter of Cities” as E. Michael Jones called it.

Whites believed in the legal system they created so they foolishly to try fight Jews in the courts and lost because it was no longer their battlefield.

But will Jews succeed in using the same laws to strip Hispanics of freedom of association, if they desire to keep blacks out of their neighborhoods?

No Jews won’t because Hispanics will never respect the legal system. Jews know this. That is why Jews will abandon blacks once the election is over.

Great you can force all the affirmative action and quotas on an employer you want, but if the black workers are too afraid to go to work in a Hispanic part of town do you expect the company to keep them on the payroll when they don’t show up?

BLM hysteria is causing many whites to have complete mental breakdowns, their self-abnegation will lead in most case to acute depression even suicide.

Jews are absolutely loving BLM even if it causing some short term real estate losses, because they just love mind f*cking YT.

  31. Our side has done enough observing, noticing and commenting. We all know who, and what the problems are.

The Bat-signal: Gordon is being rewarded for his twenty-five years of service to Gotham at a luncheon at the Gotham Astoria. Gordon sits at the head table along with Barbara, O’Hara, Bruce, and Dick—and there are seats for Mayor Linseed and his wife, who arrive late. When they do show up, they’re arguing.

The argument ends, and Linseed presents Gordon with a 24-carat gold watch—and then discharges him, replacing him as commissioner with Nora Clavicle, a staunch advocate of women’s rights. Clavicle then enters with a woman beating a drum that says “WOMAN POWER,” and she then discharges O’Hara and appoints Mrs. Linseed to be the new chief of police.

Linseed later explains to Bruce that his wife refused to cook or clean or wash his shirts until he appointed Clavicle to be commissioner. He laments that he’s worn the same shirt for weeks and hasn’t had a decent meal in months. (Clavicle’s platform is that women can run Gotham better than men, and if the mayor doesn’t know how to operate a washing machine or get his staff to provide him with clean clothes and food, you can kinda see her point…)

Clavicle cuts off the bat-phone in the commissioner’s office, after informing Batman that his services will no longer be required. After she congratulates Chief Linseed on her reorganizing of the police department, she cackles diabolically, as this is all a plot to start a crime wave. She needs to get Batman, Robin, and Batgirl out of the way, so she has her henchwomen lure them to a bank robbery—said robbery goes off without a hitch because the policewomen are too busy fixing their makeup or discussing recipes to actually stop the crime. The dispatcher is sending all the cars to sales rather than crimes, though the bank robbery gets an offhand mention.

If I may add a couple of small elaborations …

Killings bottomed out in 2018 at 289, the lowest number since 1951, back when Joe DiMaggio played for the Yankees.

This incredible 87 percent decline in the number of killings is one of the great urban success stories in American history. It contributed to an enormous increase in property values

This is true of course, but it should be noted that this was only achieved by quintupling the incarceration rate. Whether or not one thinks there is an “imprisonment crisis”, it is now five times as expensive to get back to the same crime rates we had before 1960s liberalism. And in fact we probably are still not really back to those rates as we now have widespread, but expensive and onerous, private security and surveillance suppressing crime, and also medical advances have made crimes that would formerly have been murders into mere attempted murders.

Black Lives Matter has gotten more incremental blacks murdered than all the lynchings in American history.

  49. Maybe the real elite are flushing the current gentry out of their petty fiefdoms so that once it is again run down and delapidated, a new gentry class can be brought in to re-gentrify. Sort of a signing bonus for future Democrats.

…they often behave like they believe they are privileged, and thus seem to be surprised when they find out the law still applies to them, too.

Oh hell no! They know the law does not apply to them. The surprise is that LE uses deadly force when threatened rather than just handing over their Tasers® and guns.

  50. Concerning the OT – Mr. Sailer you are a very bright person and you probably don’t need me to tell you that. I think about it though because of other articles where you wax on about the curiosity of individuals who elide a capability to see and recognize and respond with personal decision making to an important thing, a thing that increases or decreases the value of their real-estate for example, but who seem to lack a concept for thinking about the thing they recognize and sure as hell won’t be found talking about the thing.

It’s an interesting psychological observation. The thing I’ve tended to think about it though in my time observing the same is that it’s not new. In times past they called it hypocrisy. When we’ve put formal and informal systems into place to make a best possible commons, one feature of those systems, historically, are integrity checks. Some of the integrity checks are typically checks to guard against hypocrisy – we don’t allow people to man machinery of civilization unless they are able and willing to articulate the principles behind them. Used to be: people had a strong sense that it was very important that when we install leaders they should be “principled” leaders whose principles are in line with the systems they lead.

Somewhere along the line though there are lapses and backsliding – which deserves a study of its own – and as outcome we get people who competently man the systems, but who won’t affirm the principles that explain why the system works. Later on we get people who don’t even know the principles, but still man the systems and eventually we are confronted with people who repudiate the principles as they insist on commandeering the system.

As I write this I’m reminded of Chris Hedges who complains, “we are ruled by the idiot grandchildren of billionaires.”

One of the thought crimes if I recall rightly is the crime of remembering when it used to be different – how it used to be different. That was always a key to well working systems: integrity checks – including theoretical, systemic integrity. We don’t put you in charge of a system unless you know the principles underlying it, are able to articulate them and stand willing and ready to defend them. But then talking about the principles behind things got unpopular and even became a CLM and it got really, really safe to be someone who is studiously ignorant of principles. I can remember the time before that though. I was really young, but I remember.

Tragically, she died of ALS a few years ago, her muscles gradually atrophying until she could no longer breathe or swallow. Her ability to speak had left her long before that. The last comprehensible thing I heard her say, in a pathetically strangulated voice, was, “There … are … too … many … black … men … in … prison.”

I am hoping that the combination of a ‘freedom deividend’ plus depolicing in blue cities, and maybe even blue states, will draw blacks from around the country to these eutopias? Remember the Kids in the Hall movie, ‘Brain Candy’ about a drug that makes people re-experience their happiest memory, and how hilariously awful the best memories were? Well, one population’s eutopia is another’s dystopia. Though I am all in favor of separate laws for separate peoples. A policy much more easily realized when the populations are physically separated. If the black nation has to be a series of urban bantustans, so be it.

My big worry is that Republicans will cuck and/or lose the Senate, and a Democratic Congress will institute depolicing for the whole country, instead of letting the laboratory of the states try it out piecemeal. Sad as it is to say, and we’re chasing that stick, there’s a reason to vote Republican.

If that does happen, then there won’t be police to stop citizen militias or ‘random’ arsons and murders from driving blacks out of badwhite areas. Though I’m sure they won’t depolice that.

  53. Good piece, Steve. You didn’t mention it, but the current trend of wanting to reverse the gains of the 1994 VCCLEA portends very bad things for the future of crime in the United States. The ability to incapacitate career criminals by incarcerating them in the Federal system for 30+ years terms was an invaluable tool in cleaning up the urban landscape.

The suburban white kids with fashionable left wing views who inhabit the trendy gentrified neighborhoods have no idea the kind of fire they’re playing with.

  54. Altai [AKA "Altai_2"] says:

Let me propose an alternative to the tired conventional wisdom that blacks tend to behave badly because they are so oppressed and have so few rights. Yet blacks don’t tend to behave like they are much oppressed. Instead, as we’ve seen repeatedly lately, they often behave like they believe they are privileged, and thus seem to be surprised when they find out the law still applies to them, too.

Or do poor urban underclass blacks behave like a poor underclass that is racially and ethnically alien to core America. Do they, infact show signs of seeing the authorities as illegitimate as socially and economic illegitimate in a way familiar to similar contexts all over the world, including where such groups aren’t ethnically alien to the core.

As I’ve said before, this all had the character of an uprising of national self-determination but due to a lack of an identifiable homeland it can never find release, so every 25 years, the cities burn.

Covid19 was already raising doubts about the desirability of cities. BLM riots only exacerbates that. Nevertheless, the movement of money and talent to certain cities was a strong trend over the past few decades, and generally, the trend has enough headwinds that it may continue despite BLM and covid.

The trends against black advancement over the past few decades are also strong and show no signs of abating. These trends are that the factory and manual labor jobs blacks were once qualified to do are outsourced as much as they can be. Then, hispanic illegals and legals are flooding the job market and outcompeting blacks for the low skill jobs that remain. Additionally, immigrants from poor countries drive down the need to provide benefits or job security for these jobs. The janitor job that used to come with health insurance and a pension used to go to blacks. Now being a janitor is a min wage job given to hispanics by contract which includes no health insurance or any other benefit.

The pathway to a comfortable middle class life is very difficult to achieve for a family supported by a single income, and three quarters black families are headed by single mothers. Before the 80s, a man was typically a family’s single earner, but it was at least common for a single earner to be able to support a whole family.

An education is now a requirement to access office jobs, whereas one used to be able to at least get comfortable administrative jobs and some others without a degree. Blacks struggle to succeed at education in the first place and are the most burdened by the soaring cost of college tuition and student loans. They don’t have parents who saved for their tuition, and they take out loans for degrees they fail to get in the end. Plus, many of the best paying jobs require advanced reasoning skills that blacks are very very rarely capable of- programming, data science, analytics etc. The rise of these technology jobs came about in the past few decades. Previously, it was comparatively more valuable have persuasive speaking skills or the ability to socialize well with management, which blacks had a better chance of succeeding at.

Thus, even if BLM doesn’t change the trend of white investment into cities and blacks get to hold on to the manhattan real estate their section 8 vouchers afford them, the major trends that hold blacks back show no signs of subsiding. Hence, the continued afropessimism we see from blacks today.

Black Lives Matter has gotten more incremental blacks murdered than all the lynchings in American history.

True. And it has gotten plenty of non-blacks murdered as well. Their lives should matter too.

“Black Lives Matter” is a very well engineered slogan, in that it ties up a bunch of untruths into a three word mantra that you have to say unless you want to be de-personed.

Black lives don’t really matter – not to most blacks, anyway.

They’re content to kill one another by the hundreds over sneakers, or disrespekk, or over drug turf. Maybe just for fun. Often they kill black bystanders, including innocent children. Naturally, in a society that aspires to orderliness and in the past was quite used to it, this sort of thing catches the attention of law enforcement authorities. The law enforcement authorities then endeavor to enforce the law against murder, and other serious crimes, and in some infinitesimal number of interactions relative to the rates of black crime a chain of events unfolds in which a black man is killed during an attempted arrest.

The responding police – even if consisting of one Hmong and one light skinned black man – are considered the enforcement arm of the white supremacist society, and are therefore “white” for these purposes. The real meaning of “Black Lives Matter” is a chant of tribal pride, a call for revenge against the offending white tribe for the disrespect and humiliation inuring to the black tribe by virtue of harming one of its members. They don’t want you to care about “black lives,” or to believe that “black lives matter,” what they want is to restore the esteem of the black tribe and to frighten you away from the notion of ever transgressing against the black tribe, its turf and people ever again. Intra-tribe violence, and the taking of black lives by other blacks are none of your concern.

This is exactly what’s happening in Seattle. I recalled reading an article in The Economist at least a decade ago discussing the phenomenon of blacks moving to the suburbs as whites moved into city centers, and Seattle was held as an example. TE said that blacks were moving in large numbers to the suburb of Renton, which was why it quickly became a high crime suburb that everyone else tried to move out of. The Seattle Times just came out with an article yesterday saying the black population in Seattle is at a 50 year low(now under 7%), while black pop. in rest of King County increased by 50%:
    https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/data/percentage-of-blacks-living-in-seattle-at-lowest-point-in-50-years/

The Central District neighborhood was, in 1970, nearly 75% Black. Today, after decades of gentrification, it’s closer to 15% Black. South Seattle, too, has become less Black in recent years.

Unsurprisingly, the top 10 suburban cities with black pop. cited in that article have been experiencing white flight for the past decade, all are deemed undesirable with bad schools by professionals. The top 3 black cities are particularly high crime. The city of Tukwila has a major Mexican gang problem leading to occasional shootouts at the local mall. The city of Kent also has a growing Vietnamese enclave with lots of Vietnamese restaurants. All ten are pretty run down/spread out suburban cities.

I think it is a given that any city that houses the airport is always the most run down, maybe because the noise makes the city undesirable to live in leading to cheaper housing, which attracts the poor with large proportions of blacks, Mexicans and Southeast Asians.

“Aside from one professor briefly congratulating all graduating seniors, there was no mention at all of any of the students who had not won an award. This seemed to be a pretty clear indication of what kind of students the department recognizes and values,” Chen wrote.

The left is fond of saying that “crime went down under Dinkins.” So I looked up the murder stats.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crime_in_New_York_City#Murders_by_year

Murder numbers fluctuate every year. Begin in 1980. From 1980 (1,845) to 1985 (1,384) murder rates trended down. Then they began to tick up relentlessly every year from 1986 to 1990. Being that I’m such a nice person, I won’t hold Dinkins responsible for what happened in the first year of his calamitous administration – although others might. Some might say that the criminal element felt emboldened by his presence. Whatever…

From 1991-1993 the murder numbers did trend down… slightly. But they were still higher than even the horrible years of the 1980s. The real turn came in 1994, the first year of the first Giuliani admin.

I don’t know rapes and armed robberies. If anyone can add to this I’d appreciate it.

So there it is. If any smug leftist bitch says that “crime went down under Dinkins, so there!” here are the facts. Murder *did* go down – relative to the horrible peak it reached in 1990, but murders were still worse under Dinkins than Koch, worse.

It won’t make a difference to them, because they are crazy, but you should know the truth and how to counter their lies.

Hispanics have played a significant but largely uncredited role in displacing blacks from both urban real estate as well as working class jobs. 30 years ago, Asians were the fabled “roof Koreans” in response to riots, but now they’re increasingly part of the educated elite. Black Lives Matter has gotten more incremental blacks murdered than all the lynchings in American history.

Given that lynchings are such a touchstone of Left-rhetoric (“Black Deaths Matter”), we should compare these to killings in the US that are more recent and that probably involved less provocation on the part of the deceased. (Contrary to what Harper Lee and Hollywood taught you, the lynched were not necessarily random innocents.)

According to the Tuskegee Institute, 4,742 people were lynched between 1882 and 1968. Of those, 1,297 were white, but, like the thousands of blacks killed by other blacks, those deaths do not matter to the race agitators. What matters to them is 3,445 blacks lynched, presumptively by whites, over an 87 year period ending more than half a century ago.* This works out to about 39 per year.

Assuming—often contrary to the evidence—that these killings were all interracial, we can compare with more recent interracial killing statistics (which is not easy to do since, unlike the widely promoted but never officially audited lynching statistics, officially dispensed interracial killing numbers are occult). In 2010, 447 non-blacks were killed by blacks. Against this, 218 blacks were killed by non-blacks. Probably a big chunk of the latter number is Hispanic-on-black murders, which the FBI lumps in with white-on-black. (As there is no simple way to disentangle these, and in a spirit of brotherhood with the defenders of Little Village, we discuss this as “non-black” rather than “white”.)

So on the one hand we have 39 killings per year that happened long enough ago that soon no one will be old enough to remember, versus annual killings that are still happening wherein blacks kill about 200-odd more of everyone else than anyone else kills of them. The former subject, though obsolete, is well nigh a mandatory part of every American’s education. The latter subject, though live and happening right now, this week and every week, is forbidden everywhere but the dark recesses of the internet.

You may notice that current excess killings by blacks of non-blacks far outstrip the supposedly unjust long-ago killings by non-blacks of blacks by a factor of more than 5-to-1. If long-ago lynchings of blacks are supposed to be an urgent subject of social justice today, shouldn’t the current and ongoing murders of non-blacks by blacks be an even more urgent subject of social justice? Say, at least five times more urgent? Of course it should.

You may also wonder, if there is supposedly some sort of blood debt for these long-ago killings, is there not a much larger blood debt for more recent interracial murders? If the former, then yes, the latter too. Indeed, the lynching blood debt, should it be supposed to exist, was already exceeded by interracial killings by blacks, so that any such lynching blood debt has now been paid back many times over since the lynching era, and the balance of interracial blood-guilt, should any such thing exist, stands very steeply against blacks and in favor of everyone else. I myself to do not accept the logic of “race guilt” and “blood debt”, but whatever my own feelings, these notions obviously underpin much Left-rhetoric, and are even explicitly endorsed by prominent Leftists in moments of candor.

So yes, Leftists, let’s “have a conversion about race”. We can start with, what are you going to do to end the hundreds of extra murders you incite, enable and endorse by blacks of people of other races, murders that dwarf the long irrelevant deaths from lynching?

    ——

    * Also, just as all 1297 whites were not necessarily lynched out of race hate, so too not all blacks were necessarily lynched out of race hate, nor even lynched by non-blacks. Some of each group committed crimes that locals deemed the judiciary too corrupt, incompetent or sluggish to handle. There is not enough space here to address all the vagaries of lynching statistics, so I am just responding to them in the usual context and implication they are given.

The USA’s 1.3 million lawyers aren’t doing anything radical and won’t do anything except as allowed by the oligarchy, they all live under threat of being disbarred on stitched-up accusations, and then having the media ignore the story

You will notice that antifa has boatloads of lawyers, but even famous alt-right defendants can have no one step up to defend them, e.g., James Fields after Charlottesville, who was stuck with a corrupt-seeming public defender enmeshed in ties with the local prosecutor mafia

US lawyers are boxed in by the judge bribery and corruption system involving the big white-shoe law firms and the judges, and the corrupt bar association ‘ethics’ panels that prop up the whole arrangement

It is under the radar because the media in general won’t cover it, but lawyers who buck the establishment quickly lose their law licences, and sometimes even get jailed too

The contempt of court jailing and bankrupting of senior California lawyer Richard Fine was one of those cases some years back, after Fine dared to make a court filing against judicial corruption

There are big illusions about the USA legal system created by Hollywood and media … sure there are weird lottery-type winnings of the occasional party sometimes, and all the lawsuits that are a sort of tax on big companies via the lawyers … but any real challenges to the establishment are dismissed at some point

Google is said to have 99% of all lawsuits against it dismissed, Google encouraging judges to give ‘orders to Google’ to hide complaints about judicial corruption … this was mentioned in the Dept of Justice report that helped torpedo Robert Mueller’s impeachment game against Trump

The file also describes how US lawyers were offered hundreds of thousands of dollars to make a court filing against proven court fraud, perjury and extortion connected with judge bribery involving Mueller … but no lawyer in the USA was brave enough to make the court filing, although a number tried to scam some of the funds for ‘research and review’

As a true crime nerd, it’s fascinating to see my brethren – who really should (and maybe some do?) know better – both whine about over incarceration *and* spit nails at vicious criminals who don’t get buried under the jail.

I used to think it was just that they didn’t know the stats, but it seems more…deliberate. It’s like even the people interested in crime (and it’s a pretty white pursuit) don’t want to think about other races, unless they can somehow make it about YT. We’re a pretty insular bunch – even the rabid SJWs get confused at the idea of any race not thinking about white people 24-7. It’s a level of self absorption that makes it hard to look at things clearly.

*Final thought*: how much of the great awokening is about keeping white people calm by reassuring them – in the face of mounting evidence against – that they’re still at the center of the world? Being irrelevant, rather than the source of all evil, would set off many whites. Being the source of all evil is at least a major role.

The gentrifiers, who (foolishly) decided that the suburbs were too boring (aka safe) and that life was far more interesting in the cities, won’t necessarily flee the cities now that they’ve undergone such chaos. Keep in mind that large numbers of the people you see in BLM/Antifa riots are white. Besides the ones still living in their parents’ houses, many are those we would label as gentrifiers. They won’t leave, because they’re right where they want to be, where they can tear up the cities, loot stores and pull down statues without having to drive or catch a bus. Think of what they do as “work” and you could almost call this “working from home.”

What happens to America’s big blue cities when The Establishment switches sides from the cops to the blacks?

Answer: Not much, if that were even to happen. And it is unlikely to happen anyways because of the increased influence of Asians and Hispanics, and because Jews have less incentive than they once did to weaken White power in the cities via Blacks (because Jews have largely annihilated Whites as a distinct and strong group).

The white/Asian/black hipster side of the riots and — especially — the protests, results largely from Covid lockdowns: there’s nothing else to do. The weather is nice, you don’t have to work because you’re making more sitting at home getting checks then you did as a barista or a waiter. So yeah, let’s get out for some good old protesting because there’s nothing else to do and the “lockdown” is lifted for protesting. And think how you can virtue signal on your Instagram and Snapchat!

Even the nice white suburban dweller with BLM yard signs are not anxious to import that population to their neighborhoods and schools

That said, I think urban neighborhoods that are not a solid half decade into having flipped to white/yuppie domination will start to slide backwards. If you have a block where nearly all of the homes have been renovated with stable owners it will probably remain so, but if we’re talking a block where 25%+ of the homes are still run down and/or have rowdy residents, that’s not enough to fight off the gravitational pull of increasing urban disorder. Even if gentrifiers are the majority in those locations, they lack the stones to defend their turf and make no bones about it to their neighbors.

The chart at your wiki link helps put this in perspective.

I don’t know rapes and armed robberies. If anyone can add to this I’d appreciate it.

One interesting point is that in those statistics the murder rate (both absolute and per capita) went up from 1992 to 1993 (Dinkins’ last year). Perhaps worthwhile for someone to dig into the statistics in more detail and see if Wikipedia is engaging in a bit of narrative control there. Worth noting that my link references the FBI UCR data, while Wikipedia references a New York magazine article. I think one of those sources is likely to be more credible than the other ; )

The murder totals are surprisingly different fro the two sources. For 1990-1993 my link has numbers about 20% higher than Wikipedia. Worth noting that my initial observation holds true for this data as well. Even more dramatically in fact. 2397 murders in 1992 vs. 2246 in 1989.

For example white parents — none in particular, but, y’know, white ones — teaching their kids about avoiding sugar at snacktime and making sure their schools are sensitive to the needs of the snacking public in their majority white schools. The white females I know don’t want a man with cavities. They will all vote for Chiggely’s Sugarless Chewing Gum. This is to say nothing of People of Color and their noted preference for fruit flavors.

Everyone wants to take down unhealthy sweets and Big Tobacco and replace things with Chiggely’s Sugarless Chewing Gum. They are committed to looking forward not backwards. They realize the error of their snacking ways. There is no brown spit, only healthful chewing. It makes me think you guys are old and out of touch.

Most white people I know are discussing dental care. They have stated that they would prefer Chiggely’s Sugarless Chewing Gum. They complain about the homogeneity of local snacktime options. It makes me think you guys are old and out of touch.

This is especially true of young people. It makes me think you guys are old and out of touch. Most young people are not sugar addicts and those that are are committed to watching sugar consumption. A great sugarless chewing gum — like Chiggely’s — makes that easy.

It is fairly clear that the way you describe the black underclass is correct. But I do question the nature of those blacks that are not in the underclass, which might even be the majority of blacks in the US.

As a whole, blacks do not seem to function according to the expectations required for a modern society to thrive. In their own countries, there are no examples of them being able to independently maintain anything nearing an advanced economy.

Still, I am not sure why. I have read here that the powergrid never stays reliable in Africa because those who build the lines can never work faster than those who loot them for the raw materials. But how many are in each group? Is it that 70% either build or maintain but the other 30% is so destructive that nothing ever advances? Or is it the other way round?

In the US, half of blacks live in some kind of a ghetto. But half do not. The ones demanding for NYT editors to be fired, for black to be capitalized etc. are not the ones who are in the ghetto. The ones making these demands ostensibly were succeeding as middle class professionals. And still they are in cahoots with those who are looting stores out of lack of impulse control. What is the story with black leadership? Are they also alien in mentality? Are the someone else’s puppets?

Trillions of dollars have been spent on the topic and in some ways it has been quite successful. Poverty levels are down and standards of living are generally up for most groups, including blacks (e.g. everyone has cellphones and large TVs and nobody’s starving).

Ongoing black criminality is a problem for everyone, especially for black people who are most often victimized. So if the youngsters come up with a solution, more power to them. Removing statues and renaming streets isn’t it. (how many MLK boulevards do we have already?)

If no apartment covenants have a disparate impact on black section 8 renters, it is quite possible that Jewish and goodwhite law things will have them ruled racially discriminatory, and therefore unenforceable. Maybe Trump tweeted about repealing the disparate impact rule, but he didn’t actually do it. That rule and amenable judges can kill anyway of keeping out the orcs. Hell, a lawyer could bring a suit contending that the selling price of your house is so high that it prohibits blacks from buying it, and therefore has a disparate impact. Guess what? You get a lot poorer.

The nationalist/populist whites abandoned law, journalism, and academia. Well, also were driven out. The only ‘conservativex’ are shills for corporations. That was Trump’s big problem in staffing his administration. That and he’s an imbecile who hires for particular looks in women, and orneriness in men. Does not give a shit about their policy agendas.

Even At the beginning of his administration, for that glorious dream time when Bannon was the brains, Trump assigned everything from streamlining government to Mideast peace to rekindling American innovation to Kushner, whose only qualification was that his daughter has bad taste in men. There were no populists with any credentials to hire. That’s what the AA pipeline to power has cost us, fewer badwhites in influential positions. Now goodwhite liberals are getting fired for their politics, so the dissident ‘right’ is growing, but will someone fired for being only 99% on board with BLM ever stick their head out again?

If anyone, like Sailer has the ear or eyeballs of influential people, we need federal law prohibiting companies from firing people for legal speech or political positions, unless they are for example, conservative Republican in a Democratic administration, maybe, but for nominally apolitical jobs. Speaking of, whenever we go on guerrilla missions to comment on mainstream sites, or for those of us with connections to the pro-man class or higher, we need to drill it in to people’s heads that the incompetent rich kid or quota black went to x school. Hurts the elite schools just a bit, but is not clear racism to point out that someone went to Brown. Hell, it’s really a great left handed compliment, because to take it as an insult is to admit they got in on less intelligence, which neither blacks nor goodwhites will do. Sows doubt as to the value of an Ivy League degree, too.

The Hispanic side of the equation is said to have its issues, with greater dependency on public support than the Tale of the Undocumented Worker Willing to Do Jobs Native-born Americans Won’t Do suggests, with a kind of dodgy lawlessness with regard to establishing an identity taken off a gravestone and with the disregard for vaccinating one’s dog, refraining from wrecking the well pump on the raisin farm of a scholar of the Greek Classical Period for stealing copper wiring not bringing in all that much money to an ethic of dumping wet icky garbage and a certain attitude toward responsibly operating of a motor vehicle on the lawful side of insurance fraud and hit-and-run, not to mention the slide towards a weaker work ethic in the succeeding generations of new American citizens.

Blacks were said to be secretly, quietly sympathetic with Mr. Trump on account of their Brown neighbors pushing them around. America for Americans, black or white, rich or poor, Mr. Trumps tariffs combined with business deregulation bringing black employment numbers to all-time highs.

And now this, Roof Mexicans they tell me, who support the police, with the Hispanic gangs maintaining relative safety in their neighborhoods. Maybe the Drug Cartels are misunderstood Neighborhood Groups?

Yeah, yeah, whites for themselves and all of that, but leaving out the charge of White Nationalism, politics is about A and B ganging up on C or is it B and C ganging up on A? At least in semi-polite company, Mr. Trump was about America for Americans, be they black, white, gay or yes, even trans and even the brown contingent sick and tired of non-existent border enforcement letting in the brown underclass.

Yeah, yeah, whites, and it appears that those Antifa bandits are pretty pale themselves, and apart from opportunistic looting, maybe the Troubles are a white phenomenon?

Almost everyone I know in NYC is at least considering it, and not in a Lou Reed, “I’ve been talking about leaving for 35 years and I’m almost ready” way. We are taking our kids away from this madness. I know people moving to CT, PA, FL, even Montana.

My wife and I will bring 2 conservative votes wherever we go, but plenty of wokesters are moving, too. Every small Red state in America could go the way of Colorado. These states with only a few million people, or like Wyoming with about half a mill, can easily change in just a few years. Wokesters do not assimilate; they will make sure they are accommodated.

The cities will be easily filled in with the ~5 million new immigrants a year that are surely coming under a Biden admin and a Dem senate. Trump has many flaws but he’s the only thing that will prevent that.

Why would Dems destroy the cities they control? They’re not stupid. They have a Plan, unlike libertarians and naive ‘Don’t Tread On Me’ types. Actually they have many plans for all of us, and our parents, children and loved ones, too.

LOL this is where the hypocrisy of the left is laid bare — where they choose to live.

If every self-proclaimed racial justice loving white liberal moves into a black neighborhood, there would be no segregated neighborhoods, no ghettos trapping blacks into cycles of poverty.

Instead, these gutless wonders choose to move to lily white upper middle class suburbs, and almost immediately begin to agitate for more “diversity” in their new suburb by supporting high density, “affordable” housing a.k.a. apartments to dilute the single family home nature of suburbs. Naturally, most of these apartments are still going to be expensive, so most of the people who move in aren’t going be low income families but single/divorced college educated whites who tend to vote (D). So in the end their main aim is to dilute the Republican stronghold that used to be the suburbs, not necessarily to live with ghetto black/brown/white/asian trash in their nice suburb. Of course, they’re always happy to go out and march about racial injustice, segregation yada yada, then go home to their nice safe suburbs.

Only dumb blacks continue to fall for liberal white hypocrisy. Time to wake the F up.

I was asking about rental properties in a cheap but benighted part of the town I lived in and his comment was, “the poor have to live somewhere”. I think the trick is to know where the poor people will not move to and go there. We now have Asians, specifically Chinese, moving in but they are coming here for the same reason, to escape the “bad schools”, which is code words for you know what.

  147. With gentrification comes gun control– except that with blacks also comes gun control, so it was already there.

This comment by one Mr Forti to a comment to an answer to the question “Why are people saying that gun control is not the solution?” came from Quora.com today:

Turning the left’s own arguments against their pet causes is fun. I like to use “Koran Control”.

As long as we’re allowing the government to arbitrarily decide who can practice their rights (and to levy taxes and fees for the same), then we can immediately start issuing KORAN LICENSES for a hefty fee. We can let police chiefs evaluate each candidate, and deny those who they feel are “unsuitable” candidates to own Korans.

We can write thousands of laws restricting the purchase and ownership of Korans. We can legislate how Korans are locked and stored, and when and where they can be carried. Anyone who openly brandishes a Koran in a manner that other people deem “threatening” should be arrested and have their right to own a Koran removed.

Mosques should likewise be strictly regulated. Mountains of paperwork and attendance records should be submitted on a regular basis to state and federal governments. We can build a huge database to track all the Koran owners, and form a militaristic federal enforcement agency dedicated to keeping tabs on them.

We could have psychological testing requirements that must be met before we allow someone to own a Koran. And special “red flag” laws should be implemented. If a family member, neighbor or colleague thinks the Koran owner might be a threat to themselves or others, a well armed team shall be sent to raid their home and remove any and all Korans immediately!

Most importantly… we must do everything in our power to keep Korans and Islamic teaching out of the hands of children! Any kid who brings a Koran to school (or even draws one in his/her notebook) should be expelled! Seems to me these kinds of laws are (using liberal terminology) “common sense measures”, and if it “saves just one child”… then it’s worth it, right?

In Western Europe too. Though over there, the main adversary is Muslims.

In Western Europe, the situation might be even more extreme, as they don’t have a police state to protect White Euros against Muslim depredations. Their govts are also much more heavy handed with regard to free speech and dissent.

Due to the greater population density and good quality public transport, it’s not that easy to hide from Muslims either. You can’t really flee Muslim aggression so easily. Even if you did, Euro countries don’t really have a culture of suburban office parks, nightlife, shopping, and amenities. Everything is still concentrated in the major cities, so you still have to come in contact with lots of aggressive Muslims.

Another thing is that Muslims are more strategic in how they commit their aggression. For example, they’ll often harass/rape Euro girls, but not their own. So their aggression is focused and intense. With Blacks in America, they’re less strategic and often just victimize each other (though Whites, Asians, and Hispanics occasionally fall prey too).

Western Euro countries have lots more militias (usually either football clubs or Neo-Nazis) though. Their PC indoctrination is less extreme too. So if the situation ever really gets out of control, there’s non-trivial potential for outright ethnic cleansing of Muslims. Yugoslavia 2020.

Should be an interesting next 20 years.

As Steve has alluded to many times, Obama was discovered by someone with power LONG before he got to Chicago.

He was a loser pothead in high school—but the son of a American CIA worker and a political mover in Kenya. He went to an unremarkable college (Occidental), but then suddenly starts getting vaulted up the political grooming ladder without showing any accomplishments or leadership or memorability along the way—-

transfer to Columbia, then worked for a CIA front organization while dating a diplomat’s daughter, Harvard Law, Harvard Law presidency, Illinois law firm, community organizer, Illinois Senate, U.S. Senate.

All without a single accomplishment along the way, and almost no one remembering him outside of his being in a particular position or making a speech once that wasn’t bad.

I think its fairly obvious some Deep State folks thought his temperament and family background made him an ideal candidate to be a front man/empty suit for their government shenanigans in the future, and made sure he got all the “right” positions to smooth the way.

The only thing Obama’s missing from a perfect Deep State crafted resume is a stint at Oxford on a Rhodes or in the Peace Corps. But given his aversion to doing even the minimal work required (see his tenure at the Harvard Law Review) made writing the Rhodes application and doing some work at Oxford to churn out a forgettable thesis were beyond his laziness. And he was not going to be put in some third world country in any thing less than comfortable middle-class luxury, so the Peace Corps was out.

So the Deep State didn’t bother getting him that. Ironically, Michelle could have pulled off the Rhodes, as she did at Princeton, just to write a hate-whitey screed that would’ve been praised to the hilt as “deep” and “stunning and brave.” But The First Tranny was never the right temperament to be a political candidate for Deep State purposes. .

I agree that “Black Lives Matters” is a near perfect example of the sloganeer’s sinister art: three words that are fun to chant in an ominous epitrite. Beneath an apparently unobjectionable outer shell lies concealed, Trojan Horse-like, a civilization-ending meaning: it is not enough for black lives to matter as all lives; black lives must matter above other lives.

The real meaning of “Black Lives Matter” is a chant of tribal pride, a call for revenge against the offending white tribe for the disrespect and humiliation inuring to the black tribe by virtue of harming one of its members … what they want is to restore the esteem of the black tribe and to frighten you away from the notion of ever transgressing against the black tribe, its turf and people ever again.

Steve recently wrote that the bill for starting from dishonest premises is now coming due. As the blight of multiculturalism transforms American politics from the legal and rational into the explicitly tribal, I want to ensure that we return to honest premises: no one is sinning against blackness, but the cult of blackness is sinning against everyone.

Of course, that brings with it a new fear which is these libtards will probably bring their idiotic left wing politics with them and destroy the Red states they’re moving to, like how Californians destroyed WA and CO, two former solidly red states even up through early 2000’s.

But the demise or depopulation of cities is in general a good thing for America. Over the last 5 decades these cities have taken on a culture that is increasingly alien to large swaths of America. All our cities have become sin cities, with lots of restaurants, bars and nightclubs where pleasure seeking, overindulgence, illicit drugs and irresponsible behavior are increasingly tolerated, where people have no real relationships with one another and the only thing that matters is money.

Cities are places where people go to lose their soul, and where morality goes to die. Increasing urbanization will only mean increasing decay and degeneration of our society as a whole. Gandhi was right when he said that people are not meant to live in crowded places with lots of strangers, and that without kinship the only thing that will hold people together is money, leading to selfishness, crime and other immoralities.

For America’s survival, we should wish for a demise of all our big cities. It’s better for people to move to small towns, suburbs, rural areas or back closer to their extended families in the inland states. Let the poor have their big cities back. The middle class need to move away from them for the country to survive.

My contention was that Steve’s math is wrong. Your post doesn’t change that.

In fact, there is even more granularity: black homicide is concentrated not only in the males, but in the young. Nearly half of U.S. homicides are by young black males, 3-4% of the population.

They own monopolies on distribution. The reduction in theater goers still gives them all the major streaming services to play with as distributors. They still are making bank.

What should’ve been done long ago is smash their distribution control. Right now, outside of small Christian studios. Hollywood is still where its at for American audiences. Hollywood studios keep all rivals down by monopolizing distribution. You can’t get your movie onto Amazon, Hulu, Netflix, etc without a major studio nodding its head or at least allowing it.

The best competition Hollywood has is overseas from China, Japan, and Bollywood, who have the moolah and special effects abilities to make rival blockbusters—and will avoid PC to get an American audience. But Hollywood controls enough people in Congress to keep “foreign” films from getting into American distribution markets to enough of a degree to break them; think about how you can’t watch American streaming services if you’re in a foreign country, that’s all Hollywood’s international trade deal influence.

Bottom line: assuming the Republic survives in any form beyond the next decade (and that’s a big if), Hollywood will keep its stranglehold unless we have a deliberate sea change in the legal realm.

    I was recently reading about the 1960’s race riots and was surprised to read that the 1967 Detroit Riot is in the process of being rebranded as the Detroit Rebellion or the Detroit Uprising, to emphasize it’s political character. The Detroit Historical Society has a web page which even refers to it as an insurrection, and the following article says that many at the time even thought of it as a revolution;

Riot or rebellion? The debate over what to call Detroit’s 1967 disorder continues

“the process of redefining the riot began shortly after it ended, with black militants who began calling the riot a rebellion … Sidney Fine, the late University of Michigan history professor, noted that 56 percent of black Detroiters polled several months after the uprising chose to characterize the violence of 1967 as a “rebellion” or “revolution.” ”

(Ex-girlfriends are notoriously unreliable as sources.)

  207. @Almost Missouri

This is true of course, but it should be noted that this was only achieved by quintupling the incarceration rate.

Why do people write bullshit like this?

Murder rates halved everywhere in the West, starting in 1990 or thereabouts. There was nothing remotely special about US data, and the outcomes had nothing to do with making metropolitican law enforcement behave like the Einsatzgruppen.

Even the global homicide rate fell by 19%, and that’s ignoring the fact that there are a shitload of places that are currently homicide-y because there are troops in there fucking shit up deliberately (not all such places are infested with US troops or US proxies: I am not asserting that).

    .

Line up the charts for the UK, Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany… the pattern’s the same everywhere, and is completely unrelated to law enforcement policies, racial composition, and all the “Laura Norder” nonsense that US Badge Lickers trot out to [attempt to] justify putting the knee further into the neck of the State’s jigaboos (by which I mean all peons, not just the black ones).

Far from being the result of swaggering fuckwits traipsing about pretending they’re the guys in black from Star Wars, there’s a case to be made that Gazafication of US inner cities is counterproductive; the US homicide rate improved by less than it did in the civilised West.

    Data after the jump…

In 1990 you could throw a blanket over NZ, Australia, Western Europe and Scandinavia, all of which had homicide rates between 1.1 and 2.5 per 100k population.

The US rate (9.9/100k in 1990) was more like Moldova, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, or Ukraine… or (gasp) Sub-Saharan Africa(9.7/100k in 1990)

The dreaded SSA hellhole exercises the minds of HBDers, so let’s look at the US rate (9.9/100k) vs Sub-Saharan Africa a bit closer.

Well, the US rate in 1990 was higher than Sub-Saharan Africa taken as a bloc, but where was the ‘meat’ in the SSA numbers?

There were only 3 SSA countries whose homicide rate was statistically higher than the US:
     • Ethiopia (which was still in a Civil War at the time);
     • South Africa (where Jaapies were trying to stop the tide of history); and
     • Namibia (which had just been given independence from South African – white – rule).

Two other countries in SSA (Burkina Faso and Cote D’Ivoire) had higher rates, but the gap was not statistically significant.

So the US was about as homicidal as SSA taken as a bloc, and was significantly more homicidal than SSA-ex-SouthAfrica.

Statistically, is appears that a significant white population share is the problem. (KEK)

So… are the ~13% of jigaboos in the US some sort of Afro-super-homiciders relative to their considerably less constrained SSA brethren? Like some sort of Special Forces for African Homiciders? Or are YankWhites just a bunch more homicide-y than civilised whites?

    .

And as to the US rate improvement being touted as being resulting from shit like ‘roided-out SWAT fucktards, that has to be taken with a big grain of salt to drown out the taste of bullshit.

The 38% reduction in the US homicide rate is actually an underperformance relative to the rest of the West+Scandinavia (I give the Scandos their own category because on balance they’re much better than AngloWhites. Well, that’s true of Scando-excluding-Sweden, because Sweden is the US’s prison bitch and a reliable partner in the US global torture network).

    So…

By 2017 the US murder rate had dropped by 38%. Sounds like a win.

So being the dumbest whites in the OECD, of course YankWhites look for Exceptional reasons as the cause of the decline. After all, since they’re Exceptional, the decline must be caused by something they did.

However in the same period, Sub-Saharan Africa fell by 35%, and was still biased upwards by South Africa. The US rate in 2017 (6.12/100k) is not statistically different from the SSA rate (6.26/100k) and is still well below SSA-ex-SouthAfrica.

Also: elsewhere in the civilised West (and Scandolands), the rate dropped as follows:

    UK: -50%
    France: -52%
    Switzerland: -59%
Germany: -33% [Was ist los, Deutscchland? Why du ist much of killing?]
    Netherlands: -37%
Sweden: -28% [Fuck you, you US-Quisling cunts]
    Denmark: -45%
    Finland: -54%
    Iceland: -41%
    Estonia: -61%
    Moldova: -39%
Western Europe as a whole: -47%.

Note that a bunch of places in that list had massive illegal immigration of Turks, (North) Africans, and the like… but still had dramatic reductions in their level of national murdery-ness.

Sorry Yanks… it’s not just your blacks. Places that have nothing but blacks had equal-or-better improvements in their murdery-ness over the last quarter-century.

It’s your entire culture that needs to be fixed (or to collapse, which at this point seems more likely).

*Final thought*: how much of the great awokening is about keeping white people calm by reassuring them – in the face of mounting evidence against – that they’re still at the center of the world? Being irrelevant, rather than the source of all evil, would set off many whites. Being the source of all evil is at least a major role.

    This is a good observation.

White ‘progressives’ are essentially post-Christian heretics. Their energetic attempts to ‘save the world’ still burn theological fuel laid down centuries ago, when their forebears genuinely believed in God, and felt called to carry out the Great Commission.

With the widespread loss of true faith reflected so bitterly and memorably in Matthew Arnold’s ‘melancholy, long, withdrawing roar’, this missionary impulse devolved into ‘the White Man’s Burden’, i.e. colonialism, and then into the 20th century’s varied and hopeless ideologies, manifesting recently in Neocon ‘nation building’, and of course the progressive faux-salvation narratives we see acted out in so many cultural arenas, from environmentalism to immigration ‘reform’ to anti-racism.

But the bottom line in all of this is Good White People’s comforting assumption that they remain overwhelmingly powerful: they sin with such vigor that the world and its peoples are broken, and yet only they can then turn around and redeem that world and its oppressed peoples.

It’s not Hollywood doing that part, its trans-national trade restrictions; its retaliatory. Intellectual property rights are resolved internationally by treaty, but usually the each country gets to have its own distributor of a work of art such as a movie or a novel. It’s why BBC stuff used to end up on PBS.

Since Hollywood inhibits their films here, they inhibit Hollywood there—or at least make them pay for the privilege of drowning them out. I remember reading that French cinema rules required that French-made French language films had to account for something like 50% of films played at French cinemas, or something like that, otherwise Hollywood would have killed the French film industry.

In addition to the JQ, the US also has the BQ. The latter being a strict creation of the former. What to do with all the blacks? Wherever these people live, they turn their society to shit. The minute they move into a neighborhood or a suburb, that neighborhood or suburb turns to shit. Whites, Hispanics and Asians can’t move away fast enough. Black men are big, imposing, loud, rude, aggressive, stupid, hot headed, violent and criminally. Black women are not much better, and hysterical to boot. A thoroughly unpleasant tribe that no one wants to live with. Liberals pay lip service to desegregation, but the last thing they’ll do is move into a black neighborhood.

As with the JQ, no one can solve the BQ until they solve it for themselves by changing their own behavior from within. But when the behavior has been around for ten thousand years, are they even capable of change anymore? The only answer to the JQ is to ship them all back to Israel and confine them there. As for the BQ, God gave blacks their own continent for a reason. The only way to solve the BQ is to return them to their natural habitat. They are simply fish out of water outside of Africa, a primitive race with no capacity whatsoever to be productive contributors in a modern, knowledge based society.

But as you’ve slyly implied for a while now, there were some hidden, powerful boosts up for both of them on the way up.

Interestingly, both of them were from broken homes. Actually, its pretty amazing how many of our Presidents in the last 60 years had some pretty horrible childhood families (Ford, Obama, Clinton, and I’d even throw JFK in there because, despite his wealth and privilege, his Dad lobotomized his sister, caroused with actresses, and was a tyrant).

I think broken home children might be an ideal target for Deep State groomers, as they less inhibited by the restrictions and duties a good home implant onto a child. As the Pony Express and the Janniserries both found, “orphans preferred.”

Anyway, it would be interesting to hypothesize which people were groomed early by the Deep State but never panned out and the Deep State stopped helping them. Americans are weird with Italian pronunciation – even the Wops mangle their linguistic heritage after a generation or two. The one time they try to do the right noise – e.g., pronouncing “bologna” as “baloney” – they fuck it up (should be “bolonya“).

Could be worse: the Australian cricket team has a player called Marnus Labuschagne.

Some commentators pronounce his surname “La-boo-shayne” (an approximate attempt to pronounce it kinda-Froggish).

However he’s Sarth Effrikan – and as a kiddie he spoke Afrikaans rather than English, indicating that his family was Boere Afrikaans (as opposed to domesticated urban Afrikaaners). He was born in Klerksdorp, which is one of the oldest settlements established by the Voortrekkers in what used to be called the Transvaal (which is still AWB heartland).

So his name’s proper pronunciation is closer to “Labbu-skuckh-neh”, where “ckh” is an attempt to write down the sound you make if you’re trying to hawk a huge sticky loogie.

Jaapies have some great last names – van Schalkwyk (“fun Schkull-quake”, except with a little ‘v’ after the ‘u’ in ‘quake’) is among my faves.

Aretha Franklin had her first child at 12. That means she probably got pregnant the first or second month she ovulated Which means she was probably molested long before her 12th birthday It wasn’t a 6 th grade classmate who got her pregnant At that age it was probably her prominent preacher father or brothers. Michael Jackson’s father molested the girls

It’s hard to give much credence to the stuff ex-employees like Bolton will put into a book in order to help it sell. He’s a rage-o-holic and this gives him his opportunity to lash out at the man who fired him. In addition, I’m sure lots of anti-Trump content, verifiable or not, was a requirement from the publisher.

As Scott Adams observed, “Everyone hates the boss,” so he fact the current or former employees have said negative things about Trump doesn’t mean much. A lot of them probably are smarter than him, but it doesn’t’t mean they would have made the right decision. For example, the experts, the people smarter than Trump, didn’t think it was necessary to close air traffic with China when he did.

Will Bolton have any friends after this? The Left will use him and then toss him away, and I would hope he doesn’t get another spot on Fox News, where I could never stand him.

The current circus cannot be good for minority / black hiring. These videos are absolute proof that minorities and other ne’er do wells not only have a deep resentment / hatred towards successful whites but that there is a massive reservoir of ill will by supporters and enablers that go to lengths to not admit it or hide it. These are not the type of people you want to bring on board into a tight knit unit. Not only do you have the potential nuisance lawsuits but just the general malicious obedience that is concomitant with slackers. I would also include the counter culture Antifa punks. They have a resentment / chip on their shoulders against authority and like to sabotage things; precisely the type of employee you don’t want around you. These arrests at riots should at the very least be used for employment screenings.

I think a big part of corporate America’s sudden backing of BLM has much to do with the fact that they are now stuck with a significant minority workforce which will doom them to every petty whim work slowdown. Rather than unions, there will be ethnic and racial caucuses that will pitch a fit every time Leticia gets sacked for incompetence. The strategy for some in the new age of diversity will be to stay small and profitable and avoid the risk that goes with hiring a bad apple.

LOL. Another false premise by Mr. Sailer. His Taki columns are replete with them. But that’s what the audience seeks, so at least he does cater to them.

The Ferguson Effect refers to the increased scrutiny by the public, chiefly blacks, toward the tactics of law enforcement, which supposedly led police departments to withdraw from proactive policies that results in an increase in criminal activity for that particular area. This alleged relationship between public criticism, de-policing, and crime was originally coined by former St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson. The studies cited here employed this definition.

Perhaps there is a story to NOTICE the methodologies of these studies and delve deeper into their findings.

“A February 2016 University of Colorado Boulder study looked at crime statistics from 81 U.S. cities and found no evidence of a Ferguson effect with respect to overall, violent, or property crime, but did identify an increase in robbery rates after the shooting of Michael Brown (while these rates had been decreasing before this shooting).”

“A March 2016 study by Johns Hopkins University researchers Stephen L. Morgan and Joel Pally found that after Brown was shot, rates of many types of crimes in Baltimore decreased relative to what had been expected, while others (such as robbery and burglary) remained unchanged.”

“Another 2016 study, led by Edward Maguire of Arizona State University, found no evidence of a “Ferguson effect” with regard to the number of police officers killed in the line of duty in the United States between August 2014 and March 2016.”

The ones demanding for NYT editors to be fired, for black to be capitalized etc. are not the ones who are in the ghetto. The ones making these demands ostensibly were succeeding as middle class professionals. And still they are in cahoots with those who are looting stores out of lack of impulse control.

The middle class professionals among them are almost entirely in some form of affirmative action set-aside or government job. By AA set-aside I mean buffoons like TSneezy Coats that would never be paid to write were they not black, mediocrities in academia where nobody has the courage to point out they don’t make sense and usually are quite childish, etc.

They’re not really “succeeding” as these professionals – they’re merely the beneficiaries of white indulgence. The “demands” they’re making for people to be fired are just a slightly more respectable form of looting and rioting: there is no empathy for anyone outside their group, no self-reflection, no thought about what exactly it is they want and how exactly it can be achieved. It is all just demands and…tantrums.

One can be sympathetic to their issues as I am, while at the same time understanding that what we’re seeing is not people capable of building or even maintaining a society that we would recognize as civilized. A problem without a solution is not a problem, merely an unpleasant fact.

  274. This may sound like a boomer take, but the result of this BLM uprising cannot be good for blacks in the medium and long term. In fact, racial relations have been set back decades, any gratifying short term benefits will be greatly offset by years of disgust . Having said that, one interesting thing to note is with more interracial relationship/families, I have noticed intra-family breakdowns in the liberal bastions. The coalburner and her buck in opposition to the rest of her family has been exacerbated by this. Its much worse this time because many females have bought into the “we are all the same Inc.” narrative and have complicated their lives by having blacks around and consume a great deal of black culture. Now these women are faced with irreconcilable conflicts within their extended family, this happens with white men but to a lesser extent. The white liberal woman has complicated matters significantly and this is part of why the “right” is having trouble putting this unrest down. If you are a conservative white man and want to stand up to this, how do you do it when your college age daughters hate you because Professor Weissenstein says black lives matter? It comes down to our own women sabotaging our defense mechanisms. I don’t see the way out, unless something dramatic occurs that will realign whites with supporting each other which may be happening as we speak, hard to tell.

And the other two were focused on very narrow questions: “number of police officers killed in the line of duty” and “number of citizens fatally shot by police.” Contrast those very narrow questions with the more usual form of the Ferguson Effect referring to an increase in homicides:

“NOTICE that two of those studies were in early 2016 (before the evidence was all in***, which was Steve’s point).”

Which is irrelevant. Based on the information available, the researchers drew their conclusions. If you want to question their methodology for collecting the data or have particular qualms about their deductions, then specifically point it out. You do realize that Rosenfeld’s study also fits along the same timeline (2015) that you object to***, so why not the same skepticism? Mind you, this researcher said “The only explanation that gets the timing right is a VERSION of the Ferguson effect.” He was more partial to it as being a potential explanation. But i-Steve’s title made the implication that Rosenfeld was embracing this phenomenon in a similar way as its advocates.

The other two studies listed focus on aspects of the Ferguson effect. It’s called nuance. Just because they were “narrow questions” does not necessarily mean their research, as you seemingly imply, is other than valid. These findings can be used to further justify or refute the theory. For example, this study from 2020:

“attempts to fill the gap by deconstructing the effects of public scrutiny on crime trends in New York City police precincts over a two-year period (2014–2015). Findings indicate partial support for the Ferguson effect. While public scrutiny predicted variations in de-policing, the results show de-policing did not predict increases in crime. Interestingly, this study finds public scrutiny had a significant positive direct effect on crime rates, suggesting it increased crime through alternative causal processes. These findings have important theoretical and policy implications for understanding the causes and prevention of crime.”

    https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/0735648X.2019.1652921?journalCode=rjcj20&

In a 2019 study, these researchers:

“…tested for the “Ferguson Effect” on crime rates in large U.S. cities. Methods: Aggregate and disaggregate monthly Part I criminal offense data were gathered 12 months before and after August 2014 from police department data requests and websites in 81 large U.S. cities. The exogenous shock of Ferguson was examined using a discontinuous growth model to determine if there was a redirection in seasonality-adjusted crime trends in the months following the Ferguson shooting. Results: No evidence was found to support a systematic post-Ferguson change in overall, violent, and property crime trends; however, the disaggregated analyses revealed that robbery rates, declining before Ferguson, increased in the months after Ferguson. Also, there was much greater variation in crime trends in the post-Ferguson era, and select cities did experience increases in homicide. Overall, any Ferguson Effect is constrained largely to cities with historically high levels of violence, a large composition of black residents, and socioeconomic disadvantages. Conclusions: The national discourse surrounding the “Ferguson Effect” is long on anecdotes and short on data, leaving criminologists largely on the sidelines of a conversation concerning one of the most prominent contemporary issues in criminal justice. Our findings are largely consistent with longstanding criminological knowledge that changes in crime trends are slow and rarely a product of random shocks.”

Well, a few years ago when this subject came up (AGAIN! and again and again . . .) the British rate of incarcerating blacks was 19% against a <3% population. It supposedly is down to 15% but that is most likely due to efforts to political efforts to lower the number rather than a reduction in crime. Everywhere blacks go their crime rate is well above the unfortunate natives who host them. The problem is biology, not discrimination. With an average I.Q. of 85 in the U.S. (and probably lower in Europe) blacks are simply incapable of building and sustaining an advanced society. (I'm sure this will shock the reader but Wakanda isn't real.) So they don't fit well in an advanced, formerly high trust society. Which is what makes all this talk of police reform ridiculous. No program is going to help them. Of course you knew the answer when you asked the question.

On the contrary. A well considered opinion formed from reading thousands of your comments here over the years.

And backed up in this particular case by the four specific examples I quoted. Plus more below.

“You are a clown. Except you are not entertaining–the worst kind of clown.”

    Ad hominem.

Ad hominem, yes. Fallacy, no. An ad hominem is only a fallacy when it is presented instead of an argument. I prefer to use them when also justified by an argument in the same comment.

“NOTICE that two of those studies were in early 2016 (before the evidence was all in***, which was Steve’s point).”

    Which is irrelevant.

You have a funny definition of irrelevant given the importance of lack of evidence to the original point.

You do realize that Rosenfeld’s study also fits along the same timeline (2015) that you object to***

    The Boulder study:
    https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0047235216300010
Only used data through August 2015 rather than the end of 2015 used by Rosenfeld. So you are simply wrong there.

The JHU study did use data for all of 2015, but was focused only on Baltimore. It also jumped through all sorts of hoops to exclude Freddie Gray related violence which rather defeats the purpose of looking at overall crime trends.

The other two studies listed focus on aspects of the Ferguson effect. It’s called nuance. Just because they were “narrow questions” does not necessarily mean their research, as you seemingly imply, is other than valid.

You really are dedicated to demonstrating your lack of critical reasoning skills. The point is that narrow specific conclusions (valid or not, and I said nothing about validity for those studies) do not contradict a more general trend (I seem to recall a commenter saying something about hasty generalization recently, perhaps he had this comment of yours in mind?).

As a simple example, if I say it did not rain today that by no means implies it did not rain this week.

Similarly, the 2020 study you referenced looked only at NYC.

The 2019 study you reference has the same issue as the 2015 Boulder study. It only looks at data through August 2015. Interesting choice given that paper does not have the excuse of unavailable data at that time.

And let’s return to Rosenfeld’s comments since he makes some specific points which I think are important. In particular the importance of 10 cities with large black populations having a sudden increase in homicides.
    https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/may/13/ferguson-effect-real-researcher-richard-rosenfield-second-thoughts

Now, the St Louis criminologist says, a deeper analysis of the increase in homicides in 2015 has convinced him that “some version” of the Ferguson effect may be real.

Looking at data from 56 large cities across the country, Rosenfeld found a 17% increase in homicide in 2015. Much of that increase came from only 10 cities, which saw an average 33% increase in homicide.

“These aren’t flukes or blips, this is a real increase,” he said. “It was worrisome. We need to figure out why it happened.”

All 10 cities that saw sudden increases in homicide had large African American populations, he said. While it’s not clear what drove the increases, he said, he believes there is some connection between high-profile protests over police killings of unarmed black men, a further breakdown in black citizens’ trust of the police, and an increase in community violence.

“The only explanation that gets the timing right is a version of the Ferguson effect,” Rosenfeld said. Now, he said, that’s his “leading hypothesis”.

Looking at the additional homicides in large cities, he found that two-thirds of the increase was concentrated in 10 cities: Baltimore, Chicago, Houston, Milwaukee, Cleveland, Washington, Nashville, Philadelphia, Kansas City and St Louis.

Notice the presence of Baltimore. Really makes me wonder about that JHU paper.

This article has some more details including statistics for those 10 cities.
