iSteve commenter Irish Paleo writes:

A concept I’ve tried (with little success) to popularise is that of blacks as Schrödinger’s race – i.e. blacks, uniquely among human populations, are permitted to exist in two opposite and mutually contradictory conditions at the same time, so long as the consequence of this logically impossible duality is getting money or resources from whites or anyone deemed “white adjacent”.

A few examples:

1. Problem: Blacks are entitled to live in areas in which they form a super-majority, so that they can dominate the culture and political system and vote for policies that are generally parasitic and extractive. However, they are simultaneously entitled to live in areas with white majorities, so that there is a base of wealth to extract.

Solution: White gentrifiers must not have families or live in single family homes so that they vote for the Black Party (i.e. the Donkeys) and give black urban minorities then kind of government they want.

2. Problem: As a corrollary of 1 above, when whites leave a black neighbourhood, this results in segregation, which is BAD. When whites move into black areas, this is called gentrification, which is also BAD.
Solution: If “white flight” denies blacks the whites and Asians they need to fund their local tax base, the Federal Government must step in and compensate them from the general taxation pool. On the other hand, when whites move in and a place becomes more residentially desirable and blacks get priced out, blacks need to get compensatory housing subsidies to allow them to keep living in their neighbourhoods.

3. Problem: Blacks are entitled to special preferences in hiring and education policy – i.e. affirmative action must exist. However, all blacks who are hired or admitted pursuant to affirmative action policies must, by definition, be merit hires who are just as able and perspicacious as their white counterparts – i.e. affirmative action must not exist.

Solution: Democrats must advocate affirmative action and denounce as racist anyone who objects. Meanwhile, Republicans must be prohibited from noticing that affirmative action exists and tarred as bigots whenever they do. Classic example – 2008: “Vote Obama – America needs a black president”; 2009: “What do you mean Obama won the presidency because he’s black? Are you some kind of racist?”

4. Problem: When blacks don’t get a WalMart or a Costco in their neighborhoods, they live in “food deserts” which is racist. On the other hand, when Koreans etc. open convenience stores in black neighbourhoods, it’s racist that they aren’t owned by blacks – which presumably means that it’s racist to have white owned WalMarts etc. in black neighbourhoods.

Solution: Give blacks more money and start writing policy papers to be published five years hence when it will be necessary to explain why the fact that all the money was spent on weed, menthol cigarettes and watermelon flavoured Jolly Ranchers was really caused by racist white Juju that can only be extirpated withe even more cash.

5. Problem: When blacks don’t get mortages, they are being denied the right to “build wealth”. When lending standards are lowered to let them into the housing market, the inevitable spate of defaults becomes proof of “predatory lending”.

Solution: Hard to tell due to a paucity of history but the plan appears to be: First lower lending standards; then expand rent subsidies when it all goes wrong; then once enough time has elapsed for people to forget about the last bubble and crash, lower lending standards again; finally, rinse and repeat, over and over again.

6. Problem: When whites do not engage with rap, hip hop etc., they are being racist (e.g. Al Sharpton’s bitter moaning about Michael Jackson not getting enough MTV airtime in the 1980s). However, when they do so engage, they are engaged in “cultural appropriation” – which is also bad.

Solution: More jobs for black journalists and HR ladies who like to talk about their hair.

Yeah, it is pretty common. The latest group are Ukrainians:
    - Kiev provoked the war by banning Russian language in schools and offices - half of people in Ukraine are native Russian speakers. Now since there is a war, they must ban all expressions of Russian identity.
    - Nato boasted about expanding to Ukraine. When it triggered a war, Nato switched to 'we were not serious, it was just talk'. But with the war, Ukraine will 'definitely now join Nato'.
    - Europe hates importing the Russian energy. They hate it so much that new restrictions are done daily. Russia got the message and started to limit exports to Europe and send them to Asia. Now Europe screams 'Russian blackmail! Russians are freezing the poor'...

Etc, etc...It is less about Schrödinger’s blacks, and more about the preferred modus operandi of the modern liberalism. Or, to put it simply: assh..les will be assh..les.

I don't think posts like this -- i.e., snarky denigration of blacks -- are helpful. It is certainly true that blacks are a problem population. Their crime rates are high, their levels of achievement are low, their culture is disordered, and their politics is characterized by a bitter resentment of white people and a sense of entitlement stemming from historic injustices that generally predate their parents and often their grandparents. This is a truth that would be easily recognized by a genuinely neutral observer -- the proverbial Man from Mars -- but which a huge number of Americans are simply too close to see. Right now you cannot openly assert that blacks are a problem people; that 100 years ago white people may have been the problem, but that the world has changed, and now it's black people who are the problem. The thing is, this is something you absolutely need to be able to say before the problem can begin to be addressed! Mockery may fit with some people's brands, but Steve has been the closest approximation to a neutral observer we have on this side of the fence, and I don't think posts like this help him reach the people he wants to reach.

What indeed? Still, many will construe your question as rude, since it might prompt one or two other people to notice that the entirety of Irish Paleo's silly ramble is nothing but a delta or omicron variant of the standard, watery cuckservative and establishment Republican charge that the blacks or the Democrats or some not-to-be-named people are the real racists or supremacists or beneficiaries of zoning or whatever.

Surely there's an mRNA poison jab vaccine in the works for Irish Paleo or noticers of his ramble's silliness or both.

  4. the horrible thing about blacks is that their so-called elite (the “affirmative action class”) reinforces the bad behavior of the underclass. The bottom line is, black labor is not needed in civilizations populated with Asians and Europeans (and black music, which used to be great, is now mostly crap so that labor can also be dispensed with).

It’s hard to overstate the importance of black contributions to American popular music throughout the 20th c. Blues, jazz, soul, Motown, funk, hip hop… plus they probably deserve at least 50% credit for inventing rock n roll.

I agree that by the 90s and 2000s the quality of hip hop and “black music” generally had gone way downhill. Not sure what happened. One interesting and relatively recent trend is black musicians getting back into “guitar music,” ie classic and alternative rock. It has been very much “a thing” in the last several years, after decades of black musicians largely ignoring the guitar (an instrument whose centrality to American popular music owes largely to blues men and guys like Chuck Berry, plus of course Hendrix)

Where I live there’s a well known young black woman musician, Jackie Venson, whose shtick is basically being a “guitar god” in the 60s / 70s mode. She’s… just sort of okay, but it is an interesting trend.

    Yep. But correctly so.

The blacks trying to have it both ways--segregation oppressive, but integration also oppressive!--stems from the need to make excuses for the failure of many blacks to make solid progress once the doors to integration--the traditional black "ask"--swung open. And it's pretty modern--comes from minoritarian ideology.

In contrast, American Jews are about 100X more verbally facile than blacks and have been masters of the having-it-both-ways nonsense for a long, long time:

    -- religion/ethnicity
    -- white/non-white
-- your clubs (anti-semitism!) / our clubs (ethnic solidarity!)
    -- can't count Jews / count minorities
-- quotas bad for Jews / quotas (AA) good for oppressed minorities
-- white privilege / Jewish privilege (does not exist)
-- Jewish nationalism hurrah! (and hey if we have to boot a few folks...) / everyone else's nationalism, "Nazis!"
    -- anti-Semitism / ??? heck there isn't even a name for the obvious Jewish outgroup contempt/disparagement/hate

    — Standardized tests are biased or don’t mean anything in the context of college admissions, job hiring, and professional credentialing; but when deciding whether tons of money needs to be spent on schools in black areas, the justification put forth is poor performance by blacks on standardized tests in secondary schools.

    — In Canada statistics by race are not kept for prisons to avoid stigmatizing and stereotyping black citizens, but activists are now demanding that statistics be kept so they can prove that there is over-incarceration of blacks. You can’t win.

Kiev provoked the war by banning Russian language in schools and offices – half of people in Ukraine are native Russian speakers. Now since there is a war, they must ban all expressions of Russian identity.

That didn't happen, but beautiful to see now a patriotic awakening in Ukraine, to formally adopt Ukrainian as official language of Ukraine; bilingual Ukrainians preferring their own national language over the foreign tongue of Muscowy; many monolingual Russophone Ukrainians learning to speak their own national language for the first time.

It didn't have to be an either/or proposition, of course; Russians and Ukrainians for a long time regarded each other as kindred peoples (though, contrary to the suggestions of some fools, never the same people). At the late Ukrainian presidential election in 2019, the Ukrainian nationalist Poroshenko was defeated by a pro-Russian Jew named Zelensky who grew up monolingual speaking only Russian. Unfortunately that did not satiate the hunger of the oversized Russian rat that identifies as a bear.

A binary conflict Ukrainian vs. Russian has arisen solely due to the cruel, arrogant, incompetent failure of a little Russian dictator with Napoleon complex, Vova Putin, who has perhaps gone a bit mad spending years hiding in the Kremlin in isolation due to paranoid fear of WuFlu. Whereas before they had a mixed relationship, perhaps like that between the English and Scots, now Putin has made them bitter enemies more akin to the English and Irish at the height of the Troubles. And no, being an English-speaker was never an indicator of political support for being ruled by England in Scotland or Ireland.

America has for years had problems with large rude disrespectful foreign populations, particularly Mexicans and Central Americans, refusing to learn English, speaking Spanish in the U.S., continuing to fly foreign flags and celebrate the identity of their Third World ethnic homelands, which they nevertheless for some reason choose not to live in…Ukraine has set a model example to follow.

Nato boasted about expanding to Ukraine. When it triggered a war, Nato switched to ‘we were not serious, it was just talk‘. But with the war, Ukraine will ‘definitely now join Nato’.

Really, who is this "Nato" character? What exactly did Mr. (Ms.?) "Nato" say? Of course your lies never happened—don't happen. NATO doesn't "expand". Unlike Russia, NATO is not an aggressive authoritarian empire that invades and forcibly annexes nations.

Countries must work hard to meet incredibly high standards in terms of human rights standards, free democratic institutions, cleaning up corruption, to be eligible for NATO membership (reasons why Russia could never fit in NATO); then a country must formally apply to join NATO, and following the application process, admittance into the club requires unanimous consent of all existing NATO members.*

If Russians were capable of introspection, perhaps they should ask why every country of central/eastern Europe that broke free of Moscow's iron grip in the fake 'Warsaw Pact' alliance and Soviet Union—only ever held together only by force of Russian tanks—raced westward to join the NATO defensive alliance despite its flaws. For, when forced to choose between that Scylla and Charybdis, it turns out to be not even a close call that Russia remains the most dangerous threat to the sovereignty of the nations of central and eastern Europe.

After Russia's illegal occupation of Crimea in 2014, in violation of Russian Federation's own commitments when Ukraine surrendered its nuclear arsenal per the 1994 Budapest Memorandum, Ukrainian public opinion flipped overnight to a strong majority supporting NATO membership. In fact the Ukrainians elected nationalist supermajorities to the Rada and amended the Ukrainian Constitution to formally declare the intention of Ukraine to join NATO as a national defensive priority.

*As we are seeing even with the relatively expedited membership process of longtime NATO partners Finland and Sweden, any member large or small has a voice to hold up the process if they wish for any reason, like Turkey extorting financial gibs and diplomatic concessions related to the Kurds, and Croatia initially holding up the process apparently demanding Finns and Swedes come down and solve the latest Balkan ethnic conflict in exchange for consent to their NATO accession.

  18. The double-slit experiment started in 1945.

For most of a century, blacks in the USA accepted the fact of second-class citizen because being second-class in a first-class country beat being anything at all in a disaster zone. At that time most of the world was just that.

Harry Truman’s handlers told him to integrate the armed services the thumbscrews started then.

When I worked steel in the late-1970s you’d be surprised how many “colored guys” (as they preferred to be called) looked back to the good old days when their daddies were Pullman Porters or train depot car cleaners, elevator operators, and so on, They got respect for a job done right, and they really liked being in sharp uniforms and spit-shined shoes.

The old 2-in-1 separate but equal allowed for a fairly sane nation, most of the time. There was no need to waste time or money on any of this. If you know who Truman was you also know who put an end to the American experiment (not that anyone else would have done different).

So according to you "all he has to do" is prove that he is innocent.

How does one prove that he/you "didn't take" something?

Perhaps the armed wing of the Democrat Party (FBI) should raid your home and rifle through your old collections of Mad Magazine and well thumbed pornos. Or whatever it is you have cluttering up your apartment.

Biden is now pursuing the Putinization of American politics. I.e., harassing, raiding and arresting anyone who dared in the past to run against the Democrat Party. Especially someone who did so successfully at the top level.

Putin has long been (rightfully) accused of doing this. It is a well worn authoritarian template. Much used in places like Nicaragua, Honduras, Venezuela, nearly all of Africa and the Middle East and in places like Pakistan or Burma in Asia.

Finding pretexts for jailing ones opponents is easy enough with stooge judges in the DC area and prior Democrat stooge appointments. Compliant media bleats "trust the FBI".

Republicans have not pursued such tactics in the past. If they survive senile Joe's purges ongoing, they may just decide that turnabout is fair play. Losers are of course the American system of democracy, which thus far has stopped at outright political repression.

The next stage of Biden/Putin is finding pretexts to shut down vocal/visible opposition by non Democrat media or visible and vocal critics of the regime.

The "Homeland Security disinformation" office was their first attempt at this, but a clumsy and unsubtle effort by an appointed moron Karen. They will in the future try to be more clever.

Gentrification should seem like manna to blacks, at least the ones who purchased in gentrifying areas decades ago. I personally know of blacks who bought their houses in W. Yeah, the flip side of depressed real estate values is that you can buy a house free and clear for like $8,000 - $15,000. They don't appreciate, but if you can stand your neighbors who are quite like you, you don't have a huge mortgage nut every month to worry about.

You know jb, I thought Irish Paleo had a lot of good stuff in there, but upon reflection I think you are basically correct.

Boil it down and there is just one thing--one core bogosity--going on here: "Integration is oppressing us." More explicitly it is saying "Segregation is oppressing us!" (The traditional black complaint.) And then now--blacks having been allowed integration but still screwing up; which under minoritarianism that must be the fault of the majority (whites)--"Integration is oppressing us!"

What we need is conservative thought leaders and politicians who call this out. And give a clear unapologetic response: "too damn bad" or "pick one".

We need leaders who are super clear debunking this core chunk of toxic minoritarianism with clear thinking and speech.

"Segregation or integration. You're entitled to either one--but only one.

"There can only be one set of public norms. If you are driving--or walking--down the street in Ferguson Missouri, you have to obey the norms there. And if a white police officer tries to pull you over or arrest you, it doesn't make if you are white or black or Asian or Hispanic, you have to obey. It is not the cop's job to humor you because you don't like taking shit from 'the white man'. If you are kid in school, doesn't matter if you are white, black or whatever, you have to observe the set of rules and norms for that school, for that teacher, that classroom. There is not going to be separate set of white norms, black norms, Hispanic norms, Asian norms, Muslim norms, etc. etc. etc. Likewise, in college, or on the job in the corporate office.

"If you want "integration" than you have to accept and observe the behavioral and legal norms of your society's majority--in our case those are the traditional white American majority. If you do not like those norms, then you should live in your own separate community, or pick a different country. But the majority does not have the slightest obligation to cater to you or your minority preferences. They--we--have the right to govern ourselves and work and live according to our traditional norms.

"That's it. You can choose segregation and "do your own thing". Or choose integration and in public, in school on the job behave according to standard American norms. But the majority is not going to bend over for you--let you impose your special minority norms on them. Our way ... or the highway.

All Trump has to do is to show that he didn't take classified copies of the White House kitchen recipe book home for his wife.

Instead, he is acting all huffy, being secretly delighted to get his name in the news again as if he is still an important actor in the White House reality show.

Now, if he could just use his special relationship with Putin to bring about world peace, no one would care in the slightest if he took some recipes or even scooped up some prestamped White House envelopes on his way out the door.

So according to you “all he has to do” is prove that he is innocent.

How does one prove that he/you “didn’t take” something?

Compliant media bleats “trust the FBI”.

Republicans have not pursued such tactics in the past. If they survive senile Joe’s purges ongoing, they may just decide that turnabout is fair play. Losers are of course the American system of democracy, which thus far has stopped at outright political repression.

The next stage of Biden/Putin is finding pretexts to shut down vocal/visible opposition by non Democrat media or visible and vocal critics of the regime.

The “Homeland Security disinformation” office was their first attempt at this, but a clumsy and unsubtle effort by an appointed moron Karen. They will in the future try to be more clever.

The military propaganda organs are now the tip of that spear. Don’t conservatives “love the military’?

They’re unique in the breadth of the contradictions, but there are other examples.

    A. “Unmellow Yellow.” East Asian women are permitted to lust after and date white men and simultaneously announce that they’re “not your [white men’s] fetish.” It’s basically “stop finding me hot, but here’s my number call me bye wink heart emoji.” They just seem to really want to be both hot and annoying, but annoying in ways that are different than the ways that hot girls are ordinarily annoying. It’s a sort of striver UMC flavor of annoying which must be the product of Tiger Mothers – Asians are going to be annoying in a particularly studious way that gains the approval of the ruling class.

    B. “Latinos are wild.” Latinos are the utility players of identity games. Like Jokers in so many card games they can be white or BIPOC depending upon the needs of the Harlem Globetrotters of identity games. They can be indigenous victims entitled to migrate to your home (they were indigenous somewhere else but are entitled to be where you live by virtue of their indigenousness). They can also be racist cabballeros who racistly whip indigenous Haitians who were migrating to not-Haiti with their whip-reins.

    C. “The Jewish Clover.” Jews are simultaneously an ethnicity, a religion, and a nation, but in any given situation depending upon need they can eschew any leaf of the clover. Disagree with Jews pushing their moral and religious precepts such as they are upon the majority, and you’re not objecting on the basis of “separation of Church and State,” you’re a bigot and an anti-Semite! Balk at slavish, unquestioned U.S. support for Israel, and you’re an anti-Semite who opposes the only Jewish state! Criticize Jews’ un-Biblical behavior, promotion of the breaking of Mosaic law, and penchant for promoting materialist atheism, and you’re an anti-Semite! How dare you tell me what the precepts of Judaism are, Goy! Criticize dual citizenship and divided loyalties, and you’re an anti-Semite!

Liberalism is too sophisticated to just come out and say “whites are devils.” Instead it says lots of other things that indirectly add up to the same thing.

There are two ways racism can work. Let’s use a chess king on a chessboard as a metaphor. If you wanted to totally denigrate everything the chess piece does, you could point to it and call it the “n-word”. No matter what move the king makes, it’s still carries the n-word around, and is thereby stigmatized. (As Malcolm X said: even when a black man earns a Phd, he’s still just a n-word.) That’s how old-fashioned KKK racism works.

But liberal anti-white bigotry works differently. Instead of pointing to the king and calling it a nasty word, it exhaustively analyses every individual move the piece could make and declares each move to be sinister and evil. It’s moves up: that’s racist. It moves down: that’s white privilege. It moves left: that’s gentrification. It moves right: that’s white flight. It moves diagonal: that’s a microaggression, or cultural appropriation, or some other inane nonsense. It gets attacked by Muslims: its planning a racist backlash. And so on and so on, putting whites under a microscope, looking at every thought, word and act in the worst possible light, blaming them for every problem, or just making up slander (the tyranny part of anarcho-tyranny).

This is a lot more work than old fashioned racism, but liberalism has no shortage of intellectuals willing to do that work. And through it all they never come out and say “Whites are devils” but it all adds up to the same thing.

And it's not just a black thing, either. Any time you carve out special privileges for people, this is what you're going to get. Entitlement and special pleading operating under a mythos of morality. This could all be cured with a good, old-fashioned reality check, but Americans are too fragile to endure that. A whole lot of whites would also get wiped out if the world became "fair" again. They know this, and that's why they don't talk about the obvious solutions.

I'll agree with black contributions to typical black musical genres--but "50% credit for inventing rock n roll"? No way! Rock as it evolved became the province of the songwriter, and songwriting is a big weak spot in black music (if you don't believe me, try listening to Chuck Berry's best songs: they all sound alike; ditto reggae composers like Marley). Rock was built on the backs of solitary geniuses like Jimmy Page, Lennon/McCartney, Buddy Holly, Elvis Presley, Becker/Fagen, Lou Reed, and Ray Davies. Listen to a song like The Kinks' 'Celluloid Heroes' (long version): Chuck Berry was just not equipped to write something so brilliant. There is one black performer/songwriter I'd place in the 1st tier, and that's Isaac Hayes: listen to this cover all the way through, one of the best pop songs ever recorded:

You know jb, I thought Irish Paleo had a lot of good stuff in there, but upon reflection I think you are basically correct.

Boil it down and there is just one thing–one core bogosity–going on here: “Integration is oppressing us.” More explicitly it is saying “Segregation is oppressing us!” (The traditional black complaint.) And then now–blacks having been allowed integration but still screwing up; which under minoritarianism that must be the fault of the majority (whites)–“Integration is oppressing us!”

What we need is conservative thought leaders and politicians who call this out. And give a clear unapologetic response: “too damn bad” or “pick one”.

We need leaders who are super clear debunking this core chunk of toxic minoritarianism with clear thinking and speech.

“Segregation or integration. You’re entitled to either one–but only one.

“There can only be one set of public norms. If you are driving–or walking–down the street in Ferguson Missouri, you have to obey the norms there. And if a white police officer tries to pull you over or arrest you, it doesn’t make if you are white or black or Asian or Hispanic, you have to obey. It is not the cop’s job to humor you because you don’t like taking shit from ‘the white man’. If you are kid in school, doesn’t matter if you are white, black or whatever, you have to observe the set of rules and norms for that school, for that teacher, that classroom. There is not going to be separate set of white norms, black norms, Hispanic norms, Asian norms, Muslim norms, etc. etc. etc. Likewise, in college, or on the job in the corporate office.

“If you want “integration” than you have to accept and observe the behavioral and legal norms of your society’s majority–in our case those are the traditional white American majority. If you do not like those norms, then you should live in your own separate community, or pick a different country. But the majority does not have the slightest obligation to cater to you or your minority preferences. They–we–have the right to govern ourselves and work and live according to our traditional norms.

“That’s it. You can choose segregation and “do your own thing”. Or choose integration and in public, in school on the job behave according to standard American norms. But the majority is not going to bend over for you–let you impose your special minority norms on them. Our way … or the highway.

This is an excellent, straightforward way to explicate what should be obvious to all citizens of the republic, AD.

As you know, we look at the essence of the problem from slightly different perspectives -- i.e. Minoritarianism from you; Substitute Savior Syndrome from me -- but we're describing the same phenomenon.

From the SSS point of view, the prideful, arrogant, demeaning (ultimately to both sides) assumption that nice, smart, well-intentioned white people have the power to save and redeem the oppressed has moved far beyond the realm of personal piety -- it has been instantiated in public offices and institutional/corporate job descriptions:

***Cops aren't expected to keep the peace: they must instead recognize and ameliorate long-standing affronts to social justice, especially systemic racism.

***Teachers no longer convey a cultural hertitage; they are instead trained up to be Gap-Attack Warriors who lift up the lacking (often, in practice, by beating down the excellent).

***Many (maybe most?) corporate managers no longer focus on creating value for shareholders; instead, they scour the market for ways to splash out on 'caring' gestures that signal organizational commitment to the dogma of DIE.

And on and on. The rot goes deep.

Unfortunately, great commenters come and go at iSteve. I keep a word file of some of the insights. The following was from "Drake," posting on December 17, 2014:

And through it all they never come out and say “Whites are devils” but it all adds up to the same thing.

here we go with the telegraphed antisemitism–check please!

Rock as it evolved became the province of the songwriter, and songwriting is a big weak spot in black music (if you don’t believe me, try listening to Chuck Berry’s best songs: they all sound alike; ditto reggae composers like Marley). Rock was built on the backs of solitary geniuses like Jimmy Page, Lennon/McCartney, Buddy Holly, Elvis Presley, Becker/Fagen, Lou Reed, and Ray Davies. Listen to a song like The Kinks’ ‘Celluloid Heroes’ (long version): Chuck Berry was just not equipped to write something so brilliant. There is one black performer/songwriter I’d place in the 1st tier, and that’s Isaac Hayes: listen to this cover all the way through, one of the best pop songs ever recorded:

Another one of these contradictions is that on the one hand blacks complain that they do not get inherited wealth like whites do but OTOH, having an all black neighborhood severely depresses real estate values so that blacks can afford to live in (formerly) prime close to downtown areas for very little money.

Gentrification should seem like manna to blacks, at least the ones who purchased in gentrifying areas decades ago. I personally know of blacks who bought their houses in W. Philly for maybe $10 or 20K back when their area was a ghetto, and once the area gentrified, sold out for hundreds of thousands.

Yeah, the flip side of depressed real estate values is that you can buy a house free and clear for like \$8,000 – \$15,000. They don’t appreciate, but if you can stand your neighbors who are quite like you, you don’t have a huge mortgage nut every month to worry about.

Indeed, it’s actually even simpler than that. It’s just plain old selfishness. It’s “Heads I win, tails you lose.”

And it’s not just a black thing, either. Any time you carve out special privileges for people, this is what you’re going to get. Entitlement and special pleading operating under a mythos of morality. This could all be cured with a good, old-fashioned reality check, but Americans are too fragile to endure that. A whole lot of whites would also get wiped out if the world became “fair” again. They know this, and that’s why they don’t talk about the obvious solutions.

If it was alleged that I had stolen documents from the White House, I would invite the FBI to search any of my homes or any property under my control, since I have nothing to hide.

However if I was a document thief and wanted to hide the fact, I think I would scan all the documents to a thumb drive, or encrypt them and put them somewhere in the cloud, and then destroy the paper copies.

Republicans have not pursued such tactics in the past. If they survive senile Joe's purges ongoing, they may just decide that turnabout is fair play. Losers are of course the American system of democracy, which thus far has stopped at outright political repression.

No foreign intervention needed. So why do you even mention that?

And after the years long multi-million dollar Russiagate "investigation" there was zero evidence (not fabricated by an MI-5 stooge, paid by Hillary) that Trump was "in the pay" of some foreign power.

  73. Since we’re making quantum analogies, how about quantum entanglement? You have two entangled “particles”: black behavior and NYT journalists. Something bad happens to a black, anywhere in the USA, the NYT instantly springs into action. The bad turns out to be a hoax, the NYT instantly, even across the continent, goes silent.

Example: I was in NYC when the shooting of a black girl occurred in Houston, TX. When the girl’s mother identified the shooters as white men, the NYC media, lead by the Grey Lady, could pontificate on little else. When the actual shooters were revealed to be black, the NYT and the rest of the NYC media, halfway across the continent, instantly went dark on the topic.

    Replies: @Juvenalis

Kiev provoked the war by banning Russian language in schools and offices – half of people in Ukraine are native Russian speakers. Now since there is a war, they must ban all expressions of Russian identity.

That didn’t happen, but beautiful to see now a patriotic awakening in Ukraine, to formally adopt Ukrainian as official language of Ukraine; bilingual Ukrainians preferring their own national language over the foreign tongue of Muscowy; many monolingual Russophone Ukrainians learning to speak their own national language for the first time.

It didn’t have to be an either/or proposition, of course; Russians and Ukrainians for a long time regarded each other as kindred peoples (though, contrary to the suggestions of some fools, never the same people).

Really, who is this “Nato” character? What exactly did Mr. (Ms.?) “Nato” say? Of course your lies never happened—don’t happen. NATO doesn’t “expand”.

If Russians were capable of introspection, perhaps they should ask why every country of central/eastern Europe that broke free of Moscow’s iron grip in the fake ‘Warsaw Pact’ alliance and Soviet Union—only ever held together only by force of Russian tanks—raced westward to join the NATO defensive alliance despite its flaws. For, when forced to choose between that Scylla and Charybdis, it turns out to be not even a close call that Russia remains the most dangerous threat to the sovereignty of the nations of central and eastern Europe.

After Russia’s illegal occupation of Crimea in 2014, in violation of Russian Federation’s own commitments when Ukraine surrendered its nuclear arsenal per the 1994 Budapest Memorandum, Ukrainian public opinion flipped overnight to a strong majority supporting NATO membership.

If it was alleged that I had stolen documents from the White House, I would invite the FBI to search any of my homes or any property under my control, since I have nothing to hide.

I wonder about that. Would you enjoy putting your house/properties back together after the FBI tore them apart searching?

Have you seen the book Three Felonies a Day? Might be worth checking it out.

What an utter bollocks of a simile.

No-one ever has even suggested, let alone has incontrovertible evidence that Putin is in the pay of a foreign power,

    Replies: @Muggles

I made no such suggestion either.

Putinization has to do with quashing your opponents after an election. Often done in authoritarian regimes.

No foreign intervention needed. So why do you even mention that?

And after the years long multi-million dollar Russiagate “investigation” there was zero evidence (not fabricated by an MI-5 stooge, paid by Hillary) that Trump was “in the pay” of some foreign power.

Nor has anyone suggested that now, post presidency.

Or are you referencing the Biden crime family? They were/are, viz. Ukraine and China.

But the FBI has obediently and studiously ignored the “Big Guy” and his loathsome offspring.

Biden is now pursuing the Putinization of American politics. I.e., harassing, raiding and arresting anyone who dared in the past to run against the Democrat Party. Especially someone who did so successfully at the top level.

Has Mitt Romney been arrested yet? Mitch McConnell?

Anyway, how do you know that this FBI raid was personally ordered by Biden for the sole purpose of harassing Trump? If that was the case it would just make Biden look petty and foolish and would be to the advantage of Republicans.

    Replies: @Muggles

You don’t have to arrest/harass all of the former GOP leadership or former candidates, do you?

Romney was openly anti Trump (and a loser) and McConnell is the weak sister GOP senate leader. Why would Biden want to attack them? They are allies.

While Biden’s spokeswoman has claimed “Biden didn’t order the raid” you can believe that or your own lying eyes/ears.

Bitter failed Supreme Court nominee now Attorney General Garland needed no direct orders.

And yes, it does look petty and foolish and may well be to the political advantage of Republicans.

In my context, “Biden” isn’t just Sleepy Joe, but the entire cabal of insiders and string pullers largely gathered from Obama worshipers and Inner Party Dem ranks. Eventually when Biden is out, we will learn who these people actually are/were. The lurid “memoirs” of WH insiders settling scores will be fun reading.

My favorite HDH composition was “You Just Keep Me Hanging On.” By far the best version was that of the ultimate white acid group, Vanilla Fudge, in 1967. Their deliberate slow pace manifested the sorrow of the lyrics much better than the Supremes’ speedy original version.

Coming up, the story of a rare hit song that went to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 two different times. You Keep Me Hanging On went to to #1 for the Supremes in 1966 and then in 1987 for Kim Wilde. But! That’s not all. 2 other versions were top ten hits as well.. In fact the first time it hit #1 with it’s soaring up beat hook laden take, just a few months later a totally different version from an explosive heavy rock psychedelic group went to #6… Carmine Appice and his group Vanilla Fudge It’s one of the most played songs ever and we have an all star cast of including Lamont Dozier of Motown, Mary Wilson of the Supremes and Carmine Appice of Vanilla Fudge to tell the story of this 60s 70s and 80s smash. Haven't seen or heard Vanilla Fudge for 50 years. Good stuff. They were probably better live than in the studio in spite of the Tourette's syndrome, but psychedelia recordings have mostly not aged well.

You needed to be in the right, ahem, frame of mind to enjoy it.
