From the Washington Free Beacon:

Southern Poverty Law Center Maintains $160 Million in Offshore Accounts

Donations rebound a year after SPLC’s founder was fired for racial discrimination

Joe Schoffstall – MARCH 18, 2021 1:20 PM

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), a progressive nonprofit whose leadership was recently rocked by allegations of racism and sexual harassment, maintains over $160 million in offshore accounts, new filings show.

The SPLC’s most recent audited financial statement reveals the group had $162 million in a variety of offshore funds as of October 21, 2020. The group’s tax forms show it took in $108 million in donations between November 2019 and late October 2020, an $11 million increase from the previous year. Contributions to the group dipped in 2019 after reports surfaced that allege SPLC founder Morris Dees and other leaders allowed sexual harassment and racial discrimination against minority staffers.

The SPLC is now sitting on $588 million in net assets, $45 million more than the year before. The group did not respond to a request for comment on its investments.

Two years after the SPLC fired its legendary co-founder Morris Dees, the investigative report it promised on the scandal still hasn’t been delivered.

But, who cares? The SPLC is still piling up money hand over fist.

Yet, can you imagine how much the SPLC would have raked in over George Floyd if Morris were still in charge of writing the junk mail solicitations? Opportunity cost matters.

  1. The US is running a big deficit. Nationalize the $PLC! (We’ve got a Communist regime there in Washington, FS. Isn’t that what they do?)

    .

OK, I know it will only support the US Government for about one hour out of a 24-hour spending day, out of the whole year, but still, every little bit helps…

    Dear friend,

The White supremacist Capitol insurrection and the white supremacist targeting of Asian people show that it's more necessary than ever to give all your money to the SPLC to fight White Supremacy. In 2020 we cancelled over 9,000 white people for saying racist shit online like "blacks commit 52% of homicides despite being 13% of the population." Pledge 40 dollars a month now and sponsor your very own Negro child who will write you letters and send you Snapchats when he or she isn't hiding in terror from one of the millions of white supremacist killers prowling America's hoods.

  5. Anon[303] • Disclaimer says:

From the photos, I’m going to say that half of the board of directors is black, more than half of the “leadership team” is black, and two of seven in the executive team are black, the two least important sounding, HR and some woman with a vague title that sounds like she was “promoted” from a DIE role.

The CEO is an Asian woman, and finance and legal are white women. Fundraising is a white guy and a young Jewish guy is in a strategy role.

I’d say it’s getting close to the tipping point where blacks take over, YEAH! LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL!, and we start hearing about investigations, relatives getting big contracts, weird financial transactions, and so on. When the CEO role and the CFO role fall to the vibrant infestation of color, break out the popcorn.

  18. This sounds like some form of money laundering.
Perhaps the SPLC should be made illegal and all its assets confiscated.

Of course, this would apply to many other foundations and organizations, that somehow, despite supposedly being “charities” or “philanthropic organizations”, appear to make more money every year for their billionaire owners than they ever spend. The Bill and Manlinda Foundation and the Chan-Cuckerberg are other examples. I don’t know if Bezos has something similar too.

If you are going to have an income tax, the only way to make it at least seem "fair" is to make it flat-rate and apply it equally to every single income of any kind. That includes so-called "non-profits" and "churches."*

Applied equally, it does not have the tinkering, manipulative effect that many tax laws are designed to have, and therefore it cannot honestly be claimed to be violating Amendment I by anybody but a lawyer.

Of course, ideas like this are even more irrelevant now than ever, because we have become utterly corrupt and ignorant, and Reason has no chance of ever again winning.

Federal grand jury indicts Fairfield nonprofit head for alleged misuse of grant money

    By Jess Sullivan

FAIRFIELD — The executive director of Lift3 Support Group, Claudia Humphrey, was indicted by a federal grand jury Thursday charging her with embezzling more than $53,000 of federal grant money intended for local domestic violence victims.

The 16-count federal indictment accuses Humphrey of diverting grant funds from the Fairfield nonprofit organization several times between 2011 and 2013, including using a debit card to withdraw more than $1,100 while she was visiting Las Vegas in July 2013.

Humphrey, 60, is scheduled to be arraigned Nov. 17 at the federal courthouse in Sacramento. If convicted of all charges, she could be sentenced to prison for the rest of her life in addition to being ordered to pay possible fines of at least $750,000.

  34. I think some of the people here should found their own anti-hate non-profits and get in on the act.

  35. DC is sending these outfits money by this point, so it’s hard to see how they won’t rack up big bucks from now on.

when you’re being paid by the government to train FBI agents and lecture other department’s employees on how they’re incorrigible racists, you’ve won the game.

PS: “Shooter in Boulder, Colorado” today. Woo hoo! Odds are high all characters in the play will be white, so MSM will have difficulty putting a racial spin on it. Unless King Soopers is now full of Latinx cashiers. I shopped there when I lived in that part of town.

Regrettably the shooter, while at first glance a person of pallor , seems to be of the middle eastern variety.

Yes, and he’s not even from Boulder. He’s from a suburb of Denver, to the southeast. We haven’t heard yet why he decided to kill people in Boulder. There are plenty of supermarkets where he lives.

Someone else explained on another thread. At this supermarket they have triple coupons!

It has also been mentioned that the shooter was very quick to anger and was sensitive that he was being picked on for being Muslim.

Based on this, I believe this is what happened:

Cashier: Sir, I'm sorry I cannot accept this 99 cents off Pringles coupon. It expired in 2018.

Shooter: It is because I am Muslim, yes?

Cashier: No, sir. You can see here that the expiration date was October 31, 2018. Our story policy does not permit us to accept expired coupons regardless of race, creed or gender identification. Only recently I attended our mandatory corporate diversity training seminar. Happy Eid! Peace be upon you and upon your prophet!

Shooter: I will kill you all, you filthy infidels. I have journeyed over 20 kilometers just because your store is offering the three times of the coupons. You will pay for this!
