From my new column in Taki’s Magazine:

War of the Classes

by Steve Sailer

August 23, 2017

Francis Fukuyama hypothesized the ending of history, but he failed to foresee the increasingly popular practice of the mending of history to delegitimize the right of the politically weak to their pride and property.

Rewriting the past to help disinherit the powerless by demeaning their ancestors is an ancient practice currently growing in popularity. …

Silicon Valley monopolists are currently on the warpath against those who speak up for national solidarity. Those blessed with an abundance of private wealth are paying to demonize those whose main asset is their American nationality. Those with all the money in the world want to debauch the scarcity value of American citizenship in order to get even richer. And they don’t take kindly to dissent. …

This is class war disguised as race war.

Read the whole thing there.

  1. “while the paladin of the plutocrats, Alexander Hamilton, has been retconned into a woke Person of Color in the most expensive Broadway musical in history.”

I just read Hamilton wiki page and he seen like the standard American Republican, he kept the “special relationship” with the UK even after the War and rejected Revolutionary/Republican France, his political party was all about big business interests.

  2. Interesting points. And the concept of national or societal property rights is something we need to explore.

However, the anti-White animus of virtue signaling Whites in elite positions still looks pretty sincere to me.

But there is a class element to their anti-Whitism to be sure.

the cheap labor Right have adopted the ideology of the anti-white Left because it suits their business interests - that part is disguised class war.

some of them are genuinely anti-white as well.

Agree. This is even better/more original thought/analysis than his article about the end of secrecy.

  4. No less than Karl Marx himself once wrote in the same vein as Steve Sailer … Irish Communist Gearóid Ó Colmáin did an interesting 11-part series of articles, ‘Coercive Engineered Migration: Zionism’s War on Europe’, published on ‘Dissident Voice’, where Ó Colmáin wrote of how Marx & Engels also confronted the ethnic-diverstiy, ‘mass migration’ weapon in the 1800s … and they totally opposed such schemes as destructive of the working class, an oligarch tool of conflict-creation & worker de-moralisation via the ‘ethnic war’ fostering, which lowers local wages & increases both oligarch profits & control.

And a popular alt-right argument says that, anti-immigration or anti-diversity views will always be frustrated in a democracy because … There is a majority constituted of (1) a minority of male deep cucks, plus (2) a majority of women (who mostly sub-consciously favour importing & encouraging more aggressive young males, very commonly ‘diverse’ ones)

It’s said that USA Trump 2016 was a unique one-off, because you had palpable alpha male candidate (very rare), against super-unpleasant corrupt female with male cuck entourage (worse than usual) … women were drawn to the alpha as well as men

It’s said this explains why anti-immigration etc tends to ‘peak’ around 40% of voters … whereas it is said that anti-immigration would win if women didn’t vote … and that voter profiles look like this

    Male voter segments
    1 – Oligarchs
    2 – Cucks, oligarch fellow-travellers & opportunists
3 – Most males, who have a ‘rebel’ streak, & can be motivated to defeat the minority of 1+2 above

    Female voters
1 – Overall tend to get along & go along with dominant oligarch policies
2 – When males around them are significantly cucked & gov-fostered feminist policies – alimony etc – are in place –
    — (a) Women’s feminism etc will erupt but never satisfy the women, and
    — (b) Women will be drawn to favour non-cucked young male arrivals / minorities – ‘welcome refugees’, & thus support the oligarch programme to import migrants / foster ‘diversity’, against indigenous rebel males … who will always seem ‘weak’ because they didn’t grab power

It is said that men are in fact more ‘shocked’ by migrant or minority crimes, rapes etc than women … women are biologically, sub-consciously drawn to having more young males around who will fight & compete, such men are more instinctively attractive to women, & now migrant / minority males have more of this secretly appealing aggressive image ‘women like the bad boys’

It is said that anti-immigration is basically a male interest … with women voting, anti-immigration cannot triumph, they say … It is said that women sub-consciously have little respect for men who do not seize power against the cucks-plus-women alliance … power-grabbing minorities or migrants are instinctively more attractive to them

That’s how a popular alt-right view runs, anyway, FWIW

no it isn't - it's your pathetic fetish twisted into a political argument

plus (2) a majority of women (who mostly sub-consciously favour importing & encouraging more aggressive young males, very commonly ‘diverse’ ones)

that must be why when the media is trying to emotionally manipulate women voters they show them pictures of crying children.

what's so disgusting about you is not just your fetish twisting everything but your denial of something much more important and wholesome.
    , @Citizen of a Silly Country
    @Brabantian

From my experience (grain of salt and all that), I've been surprised over the years just how much women - even quite smart and successful women - bow to the God of "popular" opinion as defined by pop culture outlets.

Women instinctually look around to see what is the accepted viewpoint on a subject and follow it. They seem almost completely uninterested in the viewpoint itself. Again, what surprised me was how true that was for bright women. They have no desire to discuss that accepted wisdom on a subject; indeed, they almost recoil at breaking it down because that could make it less accepted and make their ability to stay on the good side of accepted harder.

Women want very clear rules for accepted behavior and opinions for their group. That's all. They don't want to debate the reasons why such behavior or opinions are accepted. Again, that just makes their job harder.

In my opinion, you don't win over women trying to get them to change their minds about accepted behavior and opinions; you win them over by making them realize that they don't belong to that group.

For instance, some women in my area were involved in the women's march after Trump won. They discovered that black women did not consider them part of their group, that maybe the Coalition of Fringes wasn't white women's group.

Steve is right that the GOP should paint the Dems as the black party as much as possible. Of course, the GOP is a bunch of d-bags who should rot in hell and won't lift a finger to help us, but the strategy is correct.

This is why the Globs are so bent on destroying fraternities and any other white community organizations. If whites ever started creating their own in-group communities and organizations like, say, the Jews, we could start forcing white women to choose their tribe. Are you with us or them?

At the moment, we don't stand much of a chance. Whites can't set up ethnic organizations. In addition, the left has almost complete control over the media, which for women, is the official arbiter of accepted behavior.

We'll never get control of the media, so our best hope is to very quietly push for equal rights in terms of creating European American groups - groups that literally screamed from the rooftops about how they hate racism and discrimination but simply want the same opportunity of other groups. Right now, there's not much desire in the white community for such groups (in part because you'd be called a Nazi), but it would only take a few such groups to start the ball rolling. Again, these groups would be nothing more than business or civic groups, no discussion of race relations or immigration, just groups like the Asian American Bar Association.

Once that beach head is established, you would move forward slowly toward a lobby groups for whites and so on.

That's my dream. Probably won't work, but it's better than all this silly talk about civil war and carving up the country.

Women don't get excited by Subcons, Mestizos, and Orientals (Twinkie excepted, of course). And "deep cucks"? Come on. "Cucks" are cowed by the power of their rulers in this society. In a democracy, there would be no rulers to cow them, and they'd be against immigration like every sane and civic-minded person.
  5. ” As a Hegelian, Fukuyama defined history as the struggle among ideologies, such as communism and fascism. He became famous for arguing that by 1989 History was over. Capitalist representative government had defeated its left and right rivals and nothing would ever change. ”

Hegelians believe in the Dialectical Theory of Logic, which contends – to put it crudely – that thesis conflicts with antithesis, its opposite, and a refinement, synthesis, is produced as a result. However, the synthesis then becomes the thesis and the whole process continues ever on. There is no end to History.
So, I’m wondering, Mr Steve, either Fukuyama is some strange New Age Hegelian ( even an Alt-Hegelian ) or maybe this is one of your very infrequent errors. I must confess, I’ve not seen Fukuyama described as a Hegelian before.
( This is one of Communism’s numerous internal contradictions. They, following Hegel, believed in the Dialectical Theory of Logic. So how is ” Scientific Socialism ” to be the end of History ? )

"This is one of Communism’s numerous internal contradictions. They, following Hegel, believed in the Dialectical Theory of Logic. So how is ” Scientific Socialism ” to be the end of History ?"

I think they got around it by only applying the Hegelian Dialectic backwards and against the still bourgeois world. Going forward it was all just one harmonious nirvana.

Ideologues never think things through. They are like children; a schema appears, it takes over their minds, it makes them feel safe and happy. Any contradictions are simply not seen - they don't like to think, they just like to feel that it has all been explained.

Of course, it also helps that most ideologues have a material skin in the game that their ideology promotes. The eternal bond between ideology and greed is what drives the madness.

Communists, even the smarter ones, convinced themselves that people will still work if money and wealth are abolished. Or tightly restricted as they were under 'scientific socialism'. It made no sense and it was obviously untrue, but they claimed to believe it. Ideologues are not much bothered by contradictions, they yearn for clarity. I sometimes think they are just lazy, pre-Alzheimer types, eager to clean up the messy world. They will always be with us and they will always enjoy iconoclastic hysterias - it is a form of mental cleansing for them. They simply cannot handle complexity.

You can say they are doing it for the money. It weakens a very strong argument.

They are already absurdly wealthy. Trump, who is only a single digit billionaire, is already rich and isn’t doing it for the money.

Why then? Power. Never enough of that.

It’s possible to make a much stronger case for global trade than open borders. I strongly favor some of it. High labor crops rotting in the fields? Import it. In fact we do. Coffee can’t be grown at developed country wages. Why not trade Mexico our grain produced by John Deere for produce grown and picked in Mexico.

It’s not like Google isn’t willing or able to pay a US wage for coding. Although it is convenient, I’m sure to hire globally. But they actually do need to export. Same with Hollywood. It can be a slippery slope between rational global trade to destructive global trade to outsourcing/off shoring to just forget borders. The marginal cost of exporting a movie or computer program or Facebook is roughly zero. It’s pure profit.

I think it is more like they want to think America is great because of them and not that their firm is great because of America.

The reason that tax reform has gotten nowhere is that Ryan’s border adjustment tax put Boeing against Walmart — exporter vs importer. American consumers aren’t keen on paying more for made in America.

Trump’s strongest point tonight was his comment that we send our military to defend other countries borders. If they aren’t important, why not walk out of Korea and simply ‘Imagine’ ?

I'm not sure that our occupation of southern Korea can be reasonably defended today. We are intervening in a domestic dispute. Nothing more than that. During the cold war it made sense but today it's just inertia and shekels for the arms industry.

  10. If there were no races there would have to be invented. If we had no slavery we would have to start immigration. Wait a minute, that’s what exactly they are doing in Sweden. W/o slavery to the problems of post slavery via immigration policy. Why Sweden is under so intensive immigration treatment? It seems like it is worse than in other countries? Why did Barbara Spectre set her headquarter there? Perhaps because Sweden was too successful with its egalitarian mixed-economy system that only can work in a mono-ethnic society. Somebody decided to destroy it. Somebody does not want us to think of options and examples that Sweden used to be. No escape from neoliberal capitalism. Can we explain why Poland and Hungary so far are able to avoid the fate of Sweden? Is it because Poland and Hungry are already under neoliberal yoke so they do not matter?

America always had the most neoliberal economy comparing to Europe. It always had the worst social safety net. For this we can thank Blacks and immigrants. Not that this is their fault but their presence broke the society cohesion and solidarity or made it impossible for solidarity to develop. Homo homini lupus est.

What the Cuban Government has been able to achieve despite 60 years of terrorist assault by the US Government is miraculous."
    FALSE...
Although the US embargo did make life difficult for some Cubans, Castro's communism destroyed a once-thriving economy that was second to none in the western hemisphere.
Let's look at the situation today:
Under U S law, American hotels in Cuba are required to pay their Cuban employees a minimum of $9.85 per hour.
The Cuban government takes almost all of that $9.85 an hour and pays the Cuban worker approximately $20.00 per month.
So much for that "worker's paradise"...

    @War for Blair Mountain

Exactly what anti-revolutionary violence has the USA perpetuated against Cuba since the end of the LBJ administration?

It's interesting that many on the left blame developing world poverty on exploitation by the West. Yet the same people blame Cuba's poverty on the American trade embargo. What could be less exploitative than a refusal to trade? Don't get me wrong; I think the continuation of the trade embargo is bad policy. Cuba is no longer exporting revolution and is no more repressive than other countries with which we trade, such as China and Saudi Arabia, especially when it comes to the freedom of religion. But Cuba's economic malaise is the result of socialism, not American anti-revolutionary violence.

When you ride around Havana you see billboards with the caption in Spanish "SOCIALISM OR DEATH. I would change that to "SOCIALISM IS DEATH." At least, socialism as it is practiced in Cuba, with very little space for personal initiatives or private legal markets.

Thomas Sowell and Gary North have written that the mob is more likely to be envious not of people who are far wealthier than they are (as they are more powerful and out of reach). They are more likely to gang up on those who are more successful but nearer and defenseless. Think of what happened to the Korean merchants in L.A. during the Rodney King riots.

  17. This is the Chamber of Commerce’s arbitrage between the locale of jobs & production (low cost) and the locale of consumption (high cost.)

Open borders floods the high cost area with consumers (LINK will do), which is why Big Business loves it.

Under this Empire of Debt, Congress can spend without the need to tax, and people can consume without the need to work (produce.)

We can be wealthy without making a thing.

Crazy, huh? The USA is just a huge pawn shop.

  18. I don’t know if Steve would like it, but I’d like it if these ideas started percolating through society without attribution. Steve’s right, the important thing right now is pattern recognition. “It’s a class war” is an important one. David Lebedoff, Kaus, Charles Murray wrote about it. If we had names for the contestants, seeing it would be easier.

  21. The question becomes: who is doing the “disguising?”

Perpetuating the race aspect solidifies the Left’s narrative of disconnected oppression. The elites can rally around race, sexual orientation, gender identity and other superfluous affiliations while escaping the kernel of conflict: class. We are ALL members of a class.

If we see today’s conflicts for what they truly represent (clash of class), the elite Left becomes a player, a villain.

If the Racism paradigm proliferates, the elite Left is allowed to live another day.

  26. Another absolutely brilliant article by Steve Sailer. The following paragraphs should be posted all over the internet:

Why are politicians today going out of their way to disrespect Confederate soldiers who died in Union prison camps more than 150 years ago? Because they can. Because this kind of vandalism is a classic turf-marking exercise understood by even the dimmest juvenile delinquents. Because desecration of memorials to the dead signifies that their living heirs are vulnerable to rapacity.

Further, this ISIS-like destruction of monuments can provoke individual losers in this struggle to overreact, which in turn is instantly used to justify more despoliation.

The allegiance of the European aristocracy was to class as much as to kingdom: they saw themselves as more closely related to their noble counterparts in neighboring kingdoms than to the lower classes. It was in its way a cosmopolitan worldview. Of course there was military competition between them, but won't there be something similar among corporations in the new global economy? It won't be a landed aristocracy, granted, but rather based on the control of corporate capital. As for the Roman nobility, I don't know enough about them.

Andrew Jackson knew that the bankers in Boston, New York and Philadelphia were money-grubbing bastards. Andrew Jackson knew that the banker class had to be crushed by destroying the Second Bank of the US. Andrew Jackson was a great Scotch-Irish warrior who battled the bankers and plutocrats.

George Washington got pissed off when he figured out that his commercial factor in England was making a killing on handling Washington’s financial affairs and commercial dealings in England while Washington was just piling up debts.

So your Socialist/Marxist/Communist solution to the problem of corporations having undue power is ... wait for it ... to make one really big corporation with way, way more power: the Communist Party. Not only will it control the mere means of production, it will own all the land, the real estate, the legislature, the courts, the civil service, the labor unions, even the universities, the schools, the newspapers, the broadcast media, the army, the police, and pretty much anything and everything else that matters.

But don't worry, it will be run by people with really good intentions.

That's the perfect solution to some business corporation having more money than others! What could go wrong?!?

As I recall, every time this "solution" is attempted, it always results in an immediate workers' utopia with freedom and plenty for all, and no one ever dies in a famine or gulag as has been the fate of so many millions in bad old capitalist societies. Or something like that.

Rarely have the diagnosis and the prescription been more obviously, and fatally, at odds. SMDH.

Exactly what anti-revolutionary violence has the USA perpetuated against Cuba since the end of the LBJ administration?

It’s interesting that many on the left blame developing world poverty on exploitation by the West. Yet the same people blame Cuba’s poverty on the American trade embargo. What could be less exploitative than a refusal to trade? Don’t get me wrong; I think the continuation of the trade embargo is bad policy. Cuba is no longer exporting revolution and is no more repressive than other countries with which we trade, such as China and Saudi Arabia, especially when it comes to the freedom of religion. But Cuba’s economic malaise is the result of socialism, not American anti-revolutionary violence.

When you ride around Havana you see billboards with the caption in Spanish “SOCIALISM OR DEATH. I would change that to “SOCIALISM IS DEATH.” At least, socialism as it is practiced in Cuba, with very little space for personal initiatives or private legal markets.

What could be less exploitative than a refusal to trade?

I am afraid this is a hopelessly naive view of the US embargo of Cuba. If all it entailed were that the US didn't trade with Cuba, you would be right of course. But the US in its wisdom and arrogance has extended the embargo to prevent other countries trading with Cuba -- thus if you are a Swiss pharmaceutical company, you can trade with the US or you can trade with Cuba but not both. So what do you think the Swiss pharmaceutical company will do?

If you are a European bank and you finance trade to Cuba, you will be fined by the US.

Last year a charity event was held in London to raise funds in order to send a piano to a music conservatory in Cuba. Unfortunately the organizers of the event did not realize that the company they contracted with to organize ticket sales was a US entity. The result, of course, was that all of the funds were confiscated. People were furious, but there was absolutely nothing they could do.

The examples could go on and on.

Apart from being in violation of international law, the US trade embargo has been condemned by nearly all nations of the world on an annual basis by a nearly unanimous vote in the UN (with the sole exceptions of the US, Israel and, occasionally, Palau).

Similarly, the US embargo of Iran has been unilaterally extended to cover other countries' transactions with Iran, much to the benefit of the US Treasury, as exemplified by the $670 fine imposed on Standard Chartered Bank in 2012. This led to the memorable, albeit ultimately futile, declaration by a senior executive of the bank: “You fucking Americans. Who are you to tell us, the rest of the world, that we’re not going to deal with Iranians.”

In reality, the primary class warfare is between victim class people and oppressor class people.

Integral to the victim classes is social justice promoting crony capitalist (SJCC).

SJCC get richer versus honest businessmen by implementing federal governments policies biased to benefit victim class people, so-called federal diversity and inclusion.

Here’s some examples of how SJCC get richer versus honest businessmen:

    1. SJCC that hire and promote victim class people in exchange for preferential access to government contracts, tax breaks, business licenses, and loans and grants.

    2. SJCC that implement federal government diversity policies in exchange for immunity from government lawsuits, harassment, and consent agreements that enforce victim class hiring and promotion.

    3. SJCC granted a business monopoly status by the federal government, e.g. Federal Reserve System, FCC licensees.

    4. SJCC granted preferential access to American citizenship and visas for themselves and their foreign diversity employees.

You cannot become a fully respectful intellectual if you are "just" a journalist. And Steve is much more than that. But with his ideas dispersed over thousands of articles and blog entries, it´s almost impossible to reach a wider public (right now, to realize how good he is you have to read his stuff over several months, become familiar with his ideas and lens of interpretation of the world and then look at the world using those lens as "grille de lecture" and see that the conceptual framework of the mainstream media/academia is infinitely inferior to his - partly by design/bad faith, partly by stupidity). He could also pre-publish some material so that his better commenters can contribute their two cents, a bit like Nassim Taleb does. Of course, he would pocket all the proceeds irrespective of the help, which he more than deserves. In a normal world, Steve would be a leading pundit, respected world-wide. An often overlooked place to “get the word out” is businesses that sell computers that have demo units on display (Apple stores, Best Buy, etc.). I usually go to alt-right and white advocacy websites, and then leave the page up. If I have time (and can get away with it), I will sometimes change the homepage to a white advocacy site. You would be surprised at how well young white people take to these sites. If they haven’t been bitten by the SJW bug, they are usually quite receptive to the message. One interesting thing I noticed about Generation Z is that, apart from the vast majority of whites supporting Trump, a slight majority of Asian males did as well, along with 1/3 of Hispanic males. I think this has less to do with an intrinsic belief in GOP ideology than the inevitable backlash of pragmatic, populist cynicism against the militant neo-Boomer idealism of the preceding, Vox-esque age cohort-which is what they are surrounded with every day.

All the more reason to break apart the GOP and form a new right-wing party that is less geared toward the interests of billionaires and instead advocates realism at home and abroad. If Trump could do that, all while surrounded by the McConnells and the DeVoses and the neocon warmongers, imagine what someone competent could do.

In my opinion, the way Steve gets out of the ghetto is by writing a book. He has more than enough exceptionally insightful material to write one almost off the cuff. You cannot become a fully respectful intellectual if you are “just” a journalist. And Steve is much more than that. But with his ideas dispersed over thousands of articles and blog entries, it´s almost impossible to reach a wider public (right now, to realize how good he is you have to read his stuff over several months, become familiar with his ideas and lens of interpretation of the world and then look at the world using those lens as “grille de lecture” and see that the conceptual framework of the mainstream media/academia is infinitely inferior to his – partly by design/bad faith, partly by stupidity). He could also pre-publish some material so that his better commenters can contribute their two cents, a bit like Nassim Taleb does. Of course, he would pocket all the proceeds irrespective of the help, which he more than deserves. In a normal world, Steve would be a leading pundit, respected world-wide. Instead, we have to make do with the likes of Gladwell and Friedman. Sad. For my part, I could translate the book into Spanish (hey, 400 million speakers worldwide).

  63. This might be of interest in this context:

I am not a big fan of Niall Ferguson, and he somewhat oversimplifies things in his following analysis, in my opinion, but this idea of a struggle for power and influence between networks (Performance) and hierarchies (Class Status), I think, applies to this discussion:

    Networks and Hierarchies

Modern networks have prospered, paradoxically, in ways that are profoundly inegalitarian. That is because ownership of the information infrastructure and the rents from it are so concentrated. (my emphasis) Google at the time of writing is worth $359 billion by market capitalization. About 16 percent of its shares, worth $58 billion, are owned by its founders, Larry Page and Sergey Brin. The market capitalization of Facebook is $161 billion; 28 percent of the shares, worth $45 billion, are owned by its founder Mark Zuckerberg. If Thomas Piketty needs further proof of his thesis that the world is reverting to the inequality of a century ago because, absent world wars and revolutions, the rate of return on capital (and the rate of growth of executive compensation) tends to outstrip the rate of growth of aggregate income, it is there in abundance in Silicon Valley. Granted, the young and very wealthy people who literally own the modern networks tend to have somewhat liberal political views. A few of them are libertarians. But few of them would welcome Gallic rates of taxation, much less a French-style egalitarian revolution.

  64. It’s not a class war. It’s a race war.

Right now, you have upper-class whites, Jews and increasingly Asians (across both political parties) joining their power and influence together. They use the black, brown and lower-end of the yellow races as shock troops to defeat the enemy.

The enemy, it has been made very plain, is Deplorable White People. Many of these people are working class, lower class, some upper middle. A handful are one-percenters.

Yet what is conspicuously missing from the Deplorable team are lower- and working-class blacks, Hispanics, Asians, Arabs, etc. If this were a class war, the Eye of Soros would be equally focused on the non-white economic groups in the lower tier. After all, there are lots and lots of them. But nobody goes after them. Quite the opposite: they are given every possible advantage over the enemy white groups, specifically to further oppress the enemy white groups.

So no, it’s not a class war. If it were, the level of hatred would be much lower. It would be more like casual disdain for the Deplorables, not continuous, aggressively hostile attacks on them from every direction and every major institution of society.

It’s a race war, it just happens to be that whites are on both sides of it, which is why a lot of people can’t figure it out. Non-whites are only on one side of it. And it’s very, very tribal, because only tribal hatreds can be sustained at a level of white hot rage for years on end. C’mon. Most of us here are on the receiving end. You know damn well it’s not about class.

If Deplorable whites all would have a special marking on their foreheads, it would become instantly recognizable that all the whites and Jews you see on television attacking them are, in fact, a very separate group of people, because not a one of them would have the mark.

I think they got around it by only applying the Hegelian Dialectic backwards and against the still bourgeois world. Going forward it was all just one harmonious nirvana.

Ideologues never think things through. They are like children; a schema appears, it takes over their minds, it makes them feel safe and happy. Any contradictions are simply not seen – they don’t like to think, they just like to feel that it has all been explained.

Of course, it also helps that most ideologues have a material skin in the game that their ideology promotes. The eternal bond between ideology and greed is what drives the madness.

Communists, even the smarter ones, convinced themselves that people will still work if money and wealth are abolished. Or tightly restricted as they were under ‘scientific socialism’. It made no sense and it was obviously untrue, but they claimed to believe it. Ideologues are not much bothered by contradictions, they yearn for clarity. I sometimes think they are just lazy, pre-Alzheimer types, eager to clean up the messy world. They will always be with us and they will always enjoy iconoclastic hysterias – it is a form of mental cleansing for them. They simply cannot handle complexity.

  69. Throughout history, the elites have always been about looking out for themselves first and taking care of the masses last. In Bosnia, it was the urban elites who first converted to Islam, the rural folks tried to resist and were persecuted because they didn’t have the power. In the US the elites are now the Jews, who dominate the areas of politics, media, academia, Wall Street, Hollywood and now Silicon Valley. They hide behind charges of anti-semitism to get what they want, money, power and mass immigration from the third world to ensure their cheap labor supply. The WASP elites are too ridden with white guilt (beaten into them by the Jewish run msm and academia) and too greedy (they too love cheap labor supply) to voice dissent so they go along.

Jews need to wake up in a hurry and realize that open borders will bring in lots of Muslims who will be most hostile to them, and this time, there will be no WASP left to save them. They are heading for suicide and bringing down the entire western world with them, all to make up for a past no one can change.

what’s so disgusting about you is not just your fetish twisting everything but your denial of something much more important and wholesome.

  72. I’ll join the others in saying this is an excellent article.

In thinking of this as class warfare as opposed to race warfare, I’d add that slavery was a special case of that warfare. It wasn’t white people who owned slaves so much as it was rich people who owned slaves. And outright slavery became unnecessary as labor became less dependent on humans and more so on petroleum. Besides, modern plantations understand that wage slaves are as useful but with less upkeep.

That we have to come to this cultural backwater (sorry!) to read quality discussions that should be all over the free press only shows the depravity of big media. Instead of honest debate they are creating a color revolution in this country by stirring up an ignorant mob whose stuff stinketh not, but only because all they have to do is tear down history as they are not yet judged by it.

Five people have been arrested in South Africa on charges related to cannibalism, including murder and possession of human body parts, after one of them walked into a police station, said he was tired of eating human flesh and produced part of a human leg and a hand, said South African police and media.

The suspects have been arrested since Friday around the farming town of Estcourt in KwaZulu-Natal province, said police spokeswoman Thembeka Mbhele on Wednesday. The arrest of the man who entered the police station led to the other arrests and the recovery of more body parts, she said.

Some residents confessed to eating human flesh provided by the suspect, said local official Mthembeni Majola, according to the News24 media outlet.

From my experience (grain of salt and all that), I’ve been surprised over the years just how much women – even quite smart and successful women – bow to the God of “popular” opinion as defined by pop culture outlets.

That’s all. They don’t want to debate the reasons why such behavior or opinions are accepted. Again, that just makes their job harder.

In my opinion, you don’t win over women trying to get them to change their minds about accepted behavior and opinions; you win them over by making them realize that they don’t belong to that group.

For instance, some women in my area were involved in the women’s march after Trump won. They discovered that black women did not consider them part of their group, that maybe the Coalition of Fringes wasn’t white women’s group.

Steve is right that the GOP should paint the Dems as the black party as much as possible. Of course, the GOP is a bunch of d-bags who should rot in hell and won’t lift a finger to help us, but the strategy is correct.

This is why the Globs are so bent on destroying fraternities and any other white community organizations. If whites ever started creating their own in-group communities and organizations like, say, the Jews, we could start forcing white women to choose their tribe. Are you with us or them?

At the moment, we don’t stand much of a chance. Whites can’t set up ethnic organizations. In addition, the left has almost complete control over the media, which for women, is the official arbiter of accepted behavior.

We’ll never get control of the media, so our best hope is to very quietly push for equal rights in terms of creating European American groups – groups that literally screamed from the rooftops about how they hate racism and discrimination but simply want the same opportunity of other groups. Right now, there’s not much desire in the white community for such groups (in part because you’d be called a Nazi), but it would only take a few such groups to start the ball rolling. Again, these groups would be nothing more than business or civic groups, no discussion of race relations or immigration, just groups like the Asian American Bar Association.

Once that beach head is established, you would move forward slowly toward a lobby groups for whites and so on.

That’s my dream. Probably won’t work, but it’s better than all this silly talk about civil war and carving up the country.

    One minor quibble, Steve.

It was the Liberal government of David Lloyd George which was associated, back in the 1900s, with the huge escalation of ‘death duties’.
The clear intention was to dismantle the huge feudal landed estates which at that time still accounted for a vast proportion of British acerage.

In more recent times, death duties – charged at a flat rate of 40% of a decedent’s estate have ratcheted down massively since the monetary value of the threshold upon which the tax is levelled was never (deliberately) increased in line with huge inflation of house prices, thereby, more or less, everyone who purchased a property in London and the south east of England was caught in a trap originally designated for the aristocracy.

  82. One of the best things about this excellent essay of Steve’s is his positing of American citizenship as valuable property.

As I keep saying to anyone who will listen: We American Citizens (We The People, remember?) own the United States, “from sea to shining sea.”

Our inheritance is being stolen from us.

PS: I agree with Steve’s mention of Andrew Jackson. I had a few pictures of him in my wallet that were messing with my mojo and doing voodoo, so I mailed them to him today. Unlike a lot of people, Steve works for a living.

  83. “this is class war disguised as race war.”

However, nearly all of the modern tech plutocrats are white. Also, once the white proles are vanquished, what’s to prevent non-white proles from noticing, “hey, wait a second! They ain’t brothers either!” And, historically, there does exist a fairly high level of anti-semitism among the black community. Couple that with more and more Islamic immigration into the US, and, it’s not just a class war any longer.

“Life is nasty, bruttish, and short”–Thomas Hobbes. Also Hobbes larger point was that in man’s natural state of all vs one and one vs all its best to form partnerships, alliances (social contracts) in order to safeguard one’s own existence (and by extension, one’s personal possessions).

In the Western world, historically the upper classes have been ca.99.9% white. For the most part in America today, they are still well north of 90% white. The idea that race and class are not interrelated is a misnomer. Should white proles lose the battle, there’s very little that the plutocrats can do to prevent an uprising among the peoples of color from coming after them. Jesse and Al can’t restrain them indefiniely (bribes or no bribes). Whereas the socialist sees a robber baron class, peoples of color just see whiteys keeping them down. And we can see the evidence of this at the local levels whenever non-whites obtain the reigns of power.

“But I was with you! I funded BLM and helped organize your struggle into action!”

“But you ain’t a brother either!”

Point: When the only whites around are the plutocrats, then the peoples of color will start noticing in their direction.

That problem of European royalty/titled nobility being cosmopolitan from feeling a sense of greater class ties to royals/nobles of other nations than to their own commoners was real. And it always lead to trouble.

That issue is perhaps the best way to grasp why Neocons and their WASP lapdogs hated the film Braveheart as much as did Leftists. That film shows Wallace as forcing the Scottish nobility to be Scottish first and foremost rather than make deals with the English crown and its nobility.

I would say that every one of the major players in the Confederacy (Lee, Jefferson Davis, Alexander Stephens, Stonewall Jackson, Patrick Cleburne, Albert Sidney Johnston, Joseph E. Johnston, Samuel Cooper, PGT Beauregard, Nathan Bedford Forrest, etc.), with the half exception of Judah P Benjamin, was at heart the Braveheart type 'noble.'

That's all you need to know to understand why the Neocons and the Lincoln-loving Yankee WASPs hate and fear Southern culture as much as do Ivy League Leftists.

    Replies: @for-the-record

What could be less exploitative than a refusal to trade?

I am afraid this is a hopelessly naive view of the US embargo of Cuba. If all it entailed were that the US didn’t trade with Cuba, you would be right of course. But the US in its wisdom and arrogance has extended the embargo to prevent other countries trading with Cuba — thus if you are a Swiss pharmaceutical company, you can trade with the US or you can trade with Cuba but not both.

Similarly, the US embargo of Iran has been unilaterally extended to cover other countries’ transactions with Iran, much to the benefit of the US Treasury, as exemplified by the $670 fine imposed on Standard Chartered Bank in 2012. This led to the memorable, albeit ultimately futile, declaration by a senior executive of the bank: “You fucking Americans. Who are you to tell us, the rest of the world, that we’re not going to deal with Iranians.”

If what you're saying is the rule, why have I seen numerous German and Japanese cars in Cuba? Have we suspended trade with those countries? Have we suspended trade with Venezuela, from whom Cuba gets all of its oil? Of course, since Venezuela has run through all of its foreign reserves, trade has been reduced to next to nothing with the USA anyway.

The primary embargo law that sought to impact on third parties was the Helms-Burton Act. In response to it:

The European Union introduced a Council Regulation (No 2271/96) (law binding all member states) declaring the extraterritorial provisions of the Helms–Burton Act to be unenforceable within the EU, and permitting recovery of any damages imposed under it. The EU law also applied sanctions against US companies and their executives for making Title III complaints.

The United Kingdom had previously introduced provisions by statutory instrument extending its Protection of Trading Interests Act 1980 (originally passed in the wake of extraterritorial claims by the U.S. in the 1970s) to United States rules on trade with Cuba. United Kingdom law was later extended to counter-act the Helms–Burton Act as well. This included criminal sanctions for complying with certain provisions of the Helms–Burton Act whilst in the UK.

Mexico passed the Law of Protection of Commerce and Investments from Foreign Policies that Contravene International Law in October 1996, aimed at neutralizing the Helms–Burton Act. The law provides for a fine of 2.2 million pesos, or $280,254, against anyone who while in Mexican territory obeys another country's laws aimed at reducing Mexican trade or foreign investment in a third country. This law was used against the Sheraton Maria Isabel Hotel and Towers in Mexico City, which had expelled a group of Cuban officials upon pressure from the United States government and confiscated their funds.

Similarly, Canada passed the "An Act to amend the Foreign Extraterritorial Measures Act" (C-54), a law to counteract the effect of Helms-Burton. In addition, its legislature proposed (but did not pass) the Godfrey–Milliken Bill that mirrored Helms-Burton, replacing the Cuban revolution with the American revolution. Sponsored by Loyalist descendants, it demanded recompense for United Empire Loyalists and proposed travel restrictions on those trafficking in property confiscated during the American Revolution. One of its sponsors, MP Peter Milliken, went on to serve as Speaker of the Canadian House of Commons.

Even American presidents have acted to suspend the most egregious aspects of the law. Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush both signed a provision allowing for a waiver of the law. Effective May 10, 1999, with CFR Title 31 Part 515, the act was amended. In 2000, the law was further amended with the passage of the Trade Sanction Reform and Export Enhancement Act, which allowed the export of US agriculture and medical goods to Cuba so long as certain conditions were met.

In short, American legal actions have had only a minimal impact on Cuban trade with countries other than the USA. Even foreign subsidiaries of American companies have been bound by the anti-embargo laws passed in Europe and Canada. Do a Duck Duck Go search and you will see that both Japan and China have trade relations with Cuba. The primary impediment to trade with Cuba is that Cuba produces very little of anything that other nations want. With very little to sell to earn foreign currency, it is very hard to trade. Even tourism is limited due to the rotten conditions: poor electrical service, the water is no longer safe to drink, and I am told that hotels that serve foreign tourists are at best second rate. I'm guessing that Cuba's beautiful beaches, warm weather, and winsome street walkers are matched by other island nations.

The best I can tell, the number one commodity that Cuba has for trade is trained doctors -- Cuban doctors serve in Venezuela in exchange for that nation's oil. Hugo Chavez was a national hero in the eyes of the Cuban government; when he died I saw large parades held in his honor.

Again, I am not arguing in favor of the American embargo. To the degree that it injures Cuba, it is the ordinary people who suffer, not the Communist Party elite. I think that some harm has also been caused by US travel restrictions. But the primary cause of the nation's poverty is the economic system, not the embargo.

There are two lines of quantitative , statistical evidence that are immediately at my disposal to show numerically that the white working class is hurting, both broadly, and deeply.
And the paroxysmal spasms of our politics are essentially them speaking out in various ways and saying so.
And someone’s ox has to get gored

Minorities, who may be hurting, sometimes more deeply, but never more broadly and deeply, are able to say via identity politics: “not my ox”
Upper middle class, however tendentiously, are able to leverage what limited skills and assets they have to carve out a long series of individual “good enough” deals, and say: “not my ox”
And libertarians are reliably found being the useful idiots they are: “let us gore no one’s ox!”
And the upper class: “hell no, not my ox”

And how does the upper class achieve this?
Easy: it looks at the white working class, observes that the WWC is serving its dutiful function as the class whose ox is most being gored, and sees that the WWC is paroxysmally retching here and there, crying out for help … and recognizes that if something isn’t done quick, someone might listen to them!

And – not being idiots – the upper class knows all people as individuals and collectives have warts – and so has moved its considerable resources to focus a Million Microscopes on the WWC’s most vulnerable vice: racism.

And the upper class moves in every way that it possibly humanly can, to provoke the WWC to say and seem to say racist things, and to be seen and heard doing so.

And every one of you who goes online saying “race war not class war” and all the other garbage … you are walking right into it, and they are winning … and they are going to win: because, you.

You can say they are doing it for the money. It weakens a very strong argument.

They are already absurdly wealthy. Trump, who is only a single digit billionaire, is already rich and isn't doing it for the money.

Why then? Power. Never enough of that.

It's possible to make a much stronger case for global trade than open borders. I strongly favor some of it. High labor crops rotting in the fields? Import it. In fact we do. Coffee can't be grown at developed country wages. Why not trade Mexico our grain produced by John Deere for produce grown and picked in Mexico.

It's not like Google isn't willing or able to pay a US wage for coding. Although it is convenient, I'm sure to hire globally. But they actually do need to export. Same with Hollywood. It can be a slippery slope between rational global trade to destructive global trade to outsourcing/off shoring to just forget borders. The marginal cost of exporting a movie or computer program or Facebook is roughly zero. It's pure profit.

I think it is more like they want to think America is great because of them and not that their firm is great because of America.

The reason that tax reform has gotten nowhere is that Ryan's border adjustment tax put Boeing against Walmart -- exporter vs importer. American consumers aren't keen on paying more for made in America.

Trump's strongest point tonight was his comment that we send our military to defend other countries borders. If they aren't important, why not walk out of Korea and simply 'Imagine' ?

I guess I’m just suggesting that his reading public sack up and admit it.

  105. “Marxists attempted to eliminate large-scale accumulations of private property, but communist states soon succumbed to economic stagnation and environmental degradation.” from the article, by Sailer

Is this trying to say that Marxism advocates elimination of large-scale accumulations of private property, and so, as a result, in “communist states” we see “economic stagnation and environmental degradation”? Thus, the claim is put forward that it is only due to “large-scale accumulations of private property” that “economic stagnation and environmental degradation” are avoided.

The problem is that we see, in nearly all third-world countries (including USA, soon enough) two contemporaneous phenomena: (1) large-scale accumulations of private property to the detriment of any working middle class, and, (2) endemic economic stagnation and environmental degradation.

So, if Sailer is claiming a causative connection, that “elimination of large-scale accumulations of private property” causes “economic stagnation and environmental degradation” … I disagree. It is rather that the phenomenon of “large-scale accumulations of private property” causes “economic stagnation and environmental degradation.” Or, if may often be that the phenomenon of “large-scale accumulations of private property” and “economic stagnation and environmental degradation” are both effects of some other cause such as postcolonial neo-colonial exploitation of natural resources. Or, it could also be, e.g. in Africa, that both these effects are caused by corruption of postcolonial “populist” (anti-white) governments.

BTW: we have also seen, e.g., in Latin America, that “large-scale accumulations of private property” when passed on from generation to generation in a plutocracy (without effectively being subject to any “death tax”) also can result in “economic stagnation and environmental degradation.”

I'll join the others in saying this is an excellent article.

In thinking of this as class warfare as opposed to race warfare, I'd add that slavery was a special case of that warfare. It wasn't white people who owned slaves so much as it was rich people who owned slaves.

South Africa cannibalism case leads to 5 arrests – ABC News …

Five people have been arrested in South Africa on charges related to cannibalism, including murder and possession of human body parts, after one of them walked into a police station, said he was tired of eating human flesh and produced part of a human leg and a hand, said South African police and media.

The suspects have been arrested since Friday around the farming town of Estcourt in KwaZulu-Natal province, said police spokeswoman Thembeka Mbhele on Wednesday. The arrest of the man who entered the police station led to the other arrests and the recovery of more body parts, she said.

One suspect is believed to be a traditional healer, reported local media.

Some residents confessed to eating human flesh provided by the suspect, said local official Mthembeni Majola, according to the News24 media outlet.

But the attacks on Whites in the Americas and Europe have nothing to do White guilt for slavery or cannibalism … both still practiced by Blacks in Africa. As iSteve notices, it all has to do with delegitimizing White society so that the looting can begin.

The post is spot on that business likes monopolies not competition (except between workers for a job). The New Deal was backed by the robber baron trusts (Averell Harriman ect) because it was a program of forced cartelisation. Outsourcing and immigration (Globalision) can be seen as business's response to constraints imposed by organised labour. Today the least capable part of the population (a minority) are the mainly affected so the discontent is containable. Nonetheless, there are voices saying America would be better off without Trump supporter base.

So, thirty hours in an earning job will be doubly difficult to organise for now because the remaining earning jobs will be done by machines (factory production) or soon to be going (clerical work). The vast majority of capable men having no prospect of a substantial occupation such as they assumed would be available, are not going to be containable by traditional false consciousness inducing methods. I expect a crisis that will be settled by the use of force within thirty years.

    Replies: @FPD72, @AM

If what you’re saying is the rule, why have I seen numerous German and Japanese cars in Cuba?

The law provides for a fine of 2.2 million pesos, or $280,254, against anyone who while in Mexican territory obeys another country’s laws aimed at reducing Mexican trade or foreign investment in a third country. This law was used against the Sheraton Maria Isabel Hotel and Towers in Mexico City, which had expelled a group of Cuban officials upon pressure from the United States government and confiscated their funds.

Similarly, Canada passed the “An Act to amend the Foreign Extraterritorial Measures Act” (C-54), a law to counteract the effect of Helms-Burton.

I’m guessing that Cuba’s beautiful beaches, warm weather, and winsome street walkers are matched by other island nations.

The best I can tell, the number one commodity that Cuba has for trade is trained doctors — Cuban doctors serve in Venezuela in exchange for that nation’s oil.

But the primary cause of the nation’s poverty is the economic system, not the embargo.

This is a good article, but sometimes I get the impression that Sailer is just a little too rooted in libertarian / neoliberal economics so that the only or main assault on public property he sees is immigration. Immigration is an important part of that assault, not least for its long term political consequences (fragmentation of horizontal solidarities), but Thatcher and Reagan long ago started dissolving public property and public space in their respective nations. At that time nationalist conservatives were mostly either supportive of privatization or indifferent to it.

The mayor said he was not “familiar with that history” but, “we don’t tolerate anti-Semitism in New York City.”

Hilarious. Hey, mayor, in case you didn’t realize it, Grant has been dead for a few years so you’re not exactly tolerating anti-Semitism. Also, what if Grant was right?

If I was the Jews, I might not want to dredge up the behavior of people during the slavery years. Jews weren’t exactly innocent in that trade. But then I don’t have the microphone. I’d suspect that Jews will sweep any poor behavior on the part of their ancestors under the rug pretty easily. Maybe they’ll get Congress to make it illegal to look up Jewish involvment in the slave trade.

I can’t believe that Grant is going to get it before Jefferson and Washington. “Don’t mess the Jews” is right. They’re not going to be left out of this blood-letting.

The best part of the story is that they’re also considering getting rid of Grant’s tomb because he was pissed that Jewish merchants were cashing in on the war in the West so he had them removed.

Here are some good quotes about the incident(s) in question, courtesy of Wikipedia:

By the time of the Civil War, tensions over race and immigration, as well as economic competition between Jews and non-Jews, combined to produce the worst outbreak of antisemitism to that date. Americans on both sides of the slavery issue denounced Jews as disloyal war profiteers, and accused them of driving Christians out of business and of aiding and abetting the enemy.[citation needed]

Major General Ulysses S. Grant was influenced by these sentiments and issued General Order No. 11 expelling Jews from areas under his control in western Tennessee:
The Jews, as a class violating every regulation of trade established by the Treasury Department and also department orders, are hereby expelled …within twenty-four hours from the receipt of this order.

This order was quickly rescinded by President Abraham Lincoln but not until it had been enforced in a number of towns.[4] According to Jerome Chanes, Lincoln's revocation of Grant's order was based primarily on "constitutional strictures against ...the federal government singling out any group for special treatment." Chanes characterizes General Order No. 11 as "unique in the history of the United States" because it was the only overtly antisemitic official action of the United States government.[5]

Grant later issued an order "that no Jews are to be permitted to travel on the road southward." His aide, Colonel John V. DuBois, ordered "all cotton speculators, Jews, and all vagabonds with no honest means of support", to leave the district. "The Israelites especially should be kept out…they are such an intolerable nuisance."

  114. Anonymous [AKA "Edward Gibbon VI"] says:

I think Steve (for once?) missed the mark here a bit, and the irony is that it seems to have happened because he ignored things that he has been noticiing and writing about for years. He asserts that what is going on “is class war disguised as race war,” but I contend that what is really going on is a war explicitly against the white race/the west.

He seems to concede this in his opening sentence when he cites “the increasingly popular practice of the mending of history to delegitimize the right of the politically weak to their pride and property.” After that, however, he wanders through much (very interesting and relevant) history on this subject without ever identifying the Who/Whom of the current struggle.

In this struggle, the primary property that is being delegitimzed is western/white civilisational achievements, and the list is, or pratical purposes, endless: the history of the west (the colonial period was an unmitigated evil; market-based economics is oppression; citizenship, free speech and property rights are racist, etc.), the art and literary canon of the Western Civilization (Shakespeare, etc., etc.), western scientific achievements (the study of man is racistracistracist!!), and on and on and on…

The only “interesting” recent development in this unfolding drama is the proportion of whites that are signing up for the jihad. Since this project started, say, 120 years or so ago, there have always been a few whites signed up for the whole shebang, and a few targets at any given time that LOTS of whites have been willing to focus there fire on, but today there is an ever-widening range of targets that a substantial proportion of whites are set on destroying.

So this is DEFINITELY a race war, just one with a substantial, and essential, element of self loathing, Blacks, other minorities, immigrants LGTPDQ, etc., groups play a part, but they are little more than convenient footsoldiers on this or that issue as needed. This is, as others have noted, a whites v. whites war, just the original American Civil War was.

The questions of interest are two: What is the cause of this urge for self destruction? And what is the goal?

Certainly, there is and has been for some time that small segment of the white population that hates it’s civilization, but this doesn’t seem to be enough. It is possible that enough of the coin of western civilization has been destroyed that getting rid of it all and “starting over” now sells. I speculate, however, that the most important cause is the now widespread recognition of the fact and implications of the soon-to-be majority minority status of whites in the west. The nationalists confirm this fact with dire warnings, and the globalists confirm it with joy (and often schadenfruede). But no one denies it, and only the nationalists speak seriously about the consequences. The history of the world provides no evidence for the moonbeams from cucumbers that the globalists are selling. So, what I think is dawning on many MANY whites is that the consequences of this will include a super-sized portion of retribution. After all, many loud and angry voices are making it clear that they are ready to start the retributions yesterday.

In other words, in large measure what is driving this massive attack by whites on the foundations of western/white civilization is fear. Fear of retribution from the soon-to-be minority majority. And the goal is to cut out out and spotlight the whites who have it coming to them. (Hint: THis groups does NOT include the cutters and the spotlighters!)

My history of Marxist revolutions in its various incarnations and evolvutions is sketchy, so I can’t connect all the dots in the coming Cultural Marxist revolution, but it seems to me that the soon-to-be minority majority are the ostensible proletariat, with Steve’s pokemon point system determining the hierarchy. The white masses are the peasants who will provide the target for the Lenin/Stalin massacres to satisfy the blood lust. And the goodwhites? Well, history doesn’t provide a happy ending for them, but they SEEM to be hoping that in the coming upheaval they can convince the proletariat that all their white-hating has made them good guys. Good luck with that. And the white plutocrats, e.g., all the titans of the tech industry, they seem to ready to hedge on this bet by building fortresses to live behind. So far this hasn’t worked out so well in Rhodesia and South Africa, but maybe the third time is the charm!

NYC considering taking down Columbus statute. The best part of the story is that they're also considering getting rid of Grant's tomb because he was pissed that Jewish merchants were cashing in on the war in the West so he had them removed.

The mayor said he was not "familiar with that history" but, "we don't tolerate anti-Semitism in New York City."

Hilarious. Hey, mayor, in case you didn't realize it, Grant has been dead for a few years so you're not exactly tolerating anti-Semitism. Also, what if Grant was right?

If I was the Jews, I might not want to dredge up the behavior of people during the slavery years. Jews weren't exactly innocent in that trade. But then I don't have the microphone. I'd suspect that Jews will sweep any poor behavior on the part of their ancestors under the rug pretty easily. Maybe they'll get Congress to make it illegal to look up Jewish involvment in the slave trade.

I can't believe that Grant is going to get it before Jefferson and Washington. "Don't mess the Jews" is right. They're not going to be left out of this blood-letting.

This order was quickly rescinded by President Abraham Lincoln but not until it had been enforced in a number of towns.[4] According to Jerome Chanes, Lincoln’s revocation of Grant’s order was based primarily on “constitutional strictures against …the federal government singling out any group for special treatment.” Chanes characterizes General Order No. 11 as “unique in the history of the United States” because it was the only overtly antisemitic official action of the United States government.[5]

Grant later issued an order “that no Jews are to be permitted to travel on the road southward.” His aide, Colonel John V. DuBois, ordered “all cotton speculators, Jews, and all vagabonds with no honest means of support”, to leave the district. “The Israelites especially should be kept out…they are such an intolerable nuisance.”

Outsourcing and immigration (Globalision) can be seen as business’s response to constraints imposed by organised labour.

As with the Soviet true believers who were offed by Stalin while still believing in the great man, we have tons of Americans with partisan feelings who believe, against the evidence, that the Republicans or the Democrats will save the day if only our politicians knew more about all those awful things that were happening to people.

I'm actually serious about asking whether Americans are being "genocided" by our political leaders working in cahoots with global corporations, and with puppetized Leftists working as their collaborators to demoralize belief in religion, family, and so on. The idea sounded crackpot even to me. Maybe "circumstantial genocide" might be something of a better term, with the perpetrators acting so as to blind themselves to the consequences of what they're doing. At least folks here might want to try the idea as a framework for thinking.

  141. Dear Mr. Sailer,

“History is a race between winners and losers” and “it’s a class war” sound stirring and exciting, yet perhaps are not very useful, if true at all. If our perspective for analysis does not conform to reality, whatever actions may occur to us are going to be ineffective. (unless we get lucky, with a providential donkey playing the flute). I believe that what we are seeing, most evident in the West, is an ideological struggle to implement a new society under a global government or at least a government where power is concentrated in very few points. We can perceive this from the phrase “”New World Order”: a new society society under a different order of government.

But a new society can only arise from a reeducation of the present one. It is true that a new government requires a political process, (now ongoing by more or less invisible elites), but also a pedagogical one to substitute “God, King and country”, and the particular institutions derived from that natural order. Hence ideological struggle. You could say that the instruments are the ideology of multiculturalism and the even more deadly gender ideology. Both are relativists, where every culture, every organizing institution or principle is equally valuable and subject to personal choice, to the point of dementia. This absolute liberty unshackled from natural law must, perforce, lead to law without liberty.

The globalist objectives arose, becoming possible, after the fall of the Berlin wall. At the time, it seemed worldwide pacification could be used to address planetary concerns, such as sustainable development, population, the role of women, etc. Those were addressed in multilateral fora with “summit” meetings that started in the 90s: Population (Cairo 91), role of Women (Beijing 95), Environment-Development (Rio, 92), and have since multiplied ad nauseaum. These venues have been coopted by groups with globalists agendas. I know of an 120 page document for a sustainability and population summit, in which about 10-12 pages were dedicated to population, and the rest were about the family, to the point of proposing “changing the desired model of family.” To change desires, the mind must be penetrated. I remember a rather detailed column at Unz by I believe Giraldi, about how the term “antisemitism” was first typified in a multilateral forum, then introduced in national language/legislation. That is the followed procedure, and it is very difficult to resist. Besides, very few read the documents, with authentic eye-popping paragraphs, so there is a type of inmunity in this obscure legislating, that at the national level is much more difficult to attain. Two governments that have at least partially resisted are Rusia and Hungary. The case of the US is illlustrative, with locally-grown multiculturalism the wedge by which basic unity is fractured and so “they” can graciously grant demanded rights to the various victim groups. After this divide e impera, the individual is further alienated by gender ideology.

The battle for the definition of family is the battle for the foundational cell of Western Civilization, the one civilization that told men like Charles V, for example, that he could only have one wife. And that every man could have a castle in his home. Not winners and losers, but something higher. The battle for clearly defining “man or woman” is a battle for the sanity of modern man, and his ability build a rational society with a measure of individual dignity, somewhat protected from State intrusion. Compare this to french intellectual Pierre Simon writing about “human life as raw material.” The convergence of this multi-culti/gender onslaught would basically render the individual helpless before an ever more powerful supranational government. We can see the beginning of that in the EU. It is therefore useful to phrase it as a “globalist” vs “nationalists” struggle.

In reality, it is a “struggle between good and evil”, no matter how intelectually unconfortable such a statement might make us. To fight, we must first be able to name the enemy, and identify its different manifestations. To phrase it as race war or class war is not useful, and is in fact what can most easily be used to achieve the new order, for it is marxist thought. Western conservatives can never win a race or class war against the forces now arrayed, they must do what they always have done: know what wisdom and institutions are worth conserving, and fight for those.

I offer my 2 cents as an admirer of your journalistic style (humor, knowledge of human nature, egregious examples), which is as good a weapon as any I’ve seen for “lifting the veil” of multi-culti-gender madness.

  144. A decade ago, Nobel prize-winning economist Milton Friedman admonished the Wall Street Journal for its idée fixe on open-border immigration policy. “It’s just obvious you can’t have free immigration and a welfare state,” he warned. This remark adds insight to the current debate over immigration in the U.S. Senate.

To be fully understood, Friedman’s comment should be viewed as applying not merely to means-tested welfare programs such as food stamps, Medicaid, and public housing, but to the entire redistributive transfer state. In the “transfer state,” government taxes the upper middle class and shifts some $1.5 trillion in economic resources to lower-income groups through a vast variety benefits and subsidies. Across the globe, this sort of economic redistribution is the largest, if not the predominant, function of government in advanced societies.

The transfer state redistributes funds from those with high-skill and high-income levels to those with lower skill levels. Low-skill immigrants become natural recipients in this process. On average, low-skill immigrant families receive $30,160 per year in government benefits and services while paying $10,573 in taxes, creating a net fiscal deficit of $19,587 that has to be paid by higher-income taxpayers.

So, I would say that much of the problem with immigration has to do with the welfare state. No welfare, fewer immigrants.

The Chamber of Commerce's support for Open Borders is nothing more than their profitable arbitrage between low cost manufacturing (where the jobs are) and high cost retailing (where the consumers are.)

First World countries are the latter. Flooding more people into them is simple math: more consumers, more arbitrage.

This is made possibly via the magic of debt. For instance, China makes stuff, ships it to the USA, the USA sends China T-notes and China uses T-notes to buy American firms, land, intellectual property, etc.

As long as the debt markets will accept every IOU issued, Congress need not tax in order to spend, and consumers need not work in order to buy.

Say's Law is an axiom: In order to consume, you must first produce. This is illustrated by imagining a cobbler, who must make shoes to (successfully) sell in order to buy bread baked by the baker. If production does not precede consumption, the marketplace eventually is empty. This is what happens when, in a monetary system, counterfeiting (the ability to buy without producing something worth selling) is allowed.

Our debt-based economy allows the creation of debt-enabled buying power with no prior production. It's called bank credit (or for Uncle Sam, simply issuing debt.) It has the same effect in the marketplace as counterfeiting; no additional product enters the market, it's just monetary demand pulling product OUT of the market. Except debt comes with the burden of repayment....except when, for 36 straight years...debts have simply been rolled over at lower interest rates (until last year, when rates appeared to bottom.)

My point: This system has turned the USA into a Pawn Shop.

It looks great, in the short run: Tax cuts and government swag for all, and citizens can have rising lifestyles without having to work.

It will last until either the manic social trust underpinning the debt markets crumbles amidst rising interest rates, or we get to the point where there's nothing left to pawn. In the latter case, people will wake up one day and discover they are serfs on the land their ancestors conquered by blood and toil.

As a warm-up, ask yourself how many peoples who’ve been liquidated en masse believed the ever more stringent measures against them were just a temporary case of political colic by the ruling cliques, and that things would settle down soon enough.

"If only Stalin knew" was one of the last things any of them said.

JDB, thanks. If I’m reading you right, well, you’re right. As with the Soviet true believers who were offed by Stalin while still believing in the great man, we have tons of Americans with partisan feelings who believe, against the evidence, that the Republicans or the Democrats will save the day if only our politicians knew more about all those awful things that were happening to people.

I’m actually serious about asking whether Americans are being “genocided” by our political leaders working in cahoots with global corporations, and with puppetized Leftists working as their collaborators to demoralize belief in religion, family, and so on. The idea sounded crackpot even to me. Maybe “circumstantial genocide” might be something of a better term, with the perpetrators acting so as to blind themselves to the consequences of what they’re doing. At least folks here might want to try the idea as a framework for thinking.

A decade ago, Nobel prize-winning economist Milton Friedman admonished the Wall Street Journal for its idée fixe on open-border immigration policy. "It's just obvious you can't have free immigration and a welfare state," he warned. This remark adds insight to the current debate over immigration in the U.S. Senate.

To be fully understood, Friedman's comment should be viewed as applying not merely to means-tested welfare programs such as food stamps, Medicaid, and public housing, but to the entire redistributive transfer state. In the "transfer state," government taxes the upper middle class and shifts some $1.5 trillion in economic resources to lower-income groups through a vast variety benefits and subsidies.

The Chamber of Commerce’s support for Open Borders is nothing more than their profitable arbitrage between low cost manufacturing (where the jobs are) and high cost retailing (where the consumers are.)

Say’s Law is an axiom: In order to consume, you must first produce. This is illustrated by imagining a cobbler, who must make shoes to (successfully) sell in order to buy bread baked by the baker. If production does not precede consumption, the marketplace eventually is empty. This is what happens when, in a monetary system, counterfeiting (the ability to buy without producing something worth selling) is allowed.

ok, fine, but can we admit that these rich people that are using immigration and multiculturalism in order to get richer are doing so via a process known as...wait for it...CAPITALISM..

    ca-pi-tal-ism.

That is what you call the process wherein rich people control corporations and manipulate national policy in order to make more $$ selling goods and services.

    That is capitalism.

But you will not admit that. Oh, maybe a little on the sly you might.

The enemy is not just the rich. It is also the corporations that the rich use to ...wait for it...make money.

So when are you going to correct all your fanboys and all the other alt-righters/paleocons, whatever, who are cussing out these so-called socialists and marxists and communists who are the ones pushing mass immigration, anti-white multiculturalism etc?

I am waiting for you to do that. But I am not holding my breath.

“rich people control corporations and manipulate national policy in order to make more $$ selling goods and services. … The enemy is not just the rich. It is also the corporations that the rich use to …wait for it…make money.”

So your Socialist/Marxist/Communist solution to the problem of corporations having undue power is … wait for it … to make one really big corporation with way, way more power: the Communist Party. Not only will it control the mere means of production, it will own all the land, the real estate, the legislature, the courts, the civil service, the labor unions, even the universities, the schools, the newspapers, the broadcast media, the army, the police, and pretty much anything and everything else that matters.

But don’t worry, it will be run by people with really good intentions.

That’s the perfect solution to some business corporation having more money than others! What could go wrong?!?

As I recall, every time this “solution” is attempted, it always results in an immediate workers’ utopia with freedom and plenty for all, and no one ever dies in a famine or gulag as has been the fate of so many millions in bad old capitalist societies. Or something like that.

Rarely have the diagnosis and the prescription been more obviously, and fatally, at odds. SMDH.
