All Utahns should be proud of the local NBA team discriminating against white children because whites, even children, are bad.

Republican politicians always let the Left define the paradigm of what is to be discussed and how. The late Lawrence Auster wrote of how Republican Presidential debates are structured.

The "moderators" are liberal journalists/talking heads and the questions are invariably liberal-oriented questions. Auster wrote that GOP candidates accept this setup and do nothing to change it.

They definitely are American, in fact they may be the most quintessentially American--and honestly, I don't know if that's a good thing. Look at where we are, look at what Americanism has led to.

They are generally more pro-immigration, and they make a big deal about "keeping families together" and, you know, "compassion." This comes from a naivety about human nature which the religion helps instill.

Mitt Romney stands for all that's the worst in Mormonism: materialistic (look at his finance career), moralistic, performatively-righteous... hard to put a finger on.

There is no answer to the clear answer to the Mormon Question. It's interesting to see what happens to the people who leave the Church. Most do fine/are normal, and so you don't hear as much about them, but look at r/exmormon subreddit and you'll find the most pathetic form of bitter progressivism that perhaps has ever existed.

There are a decent number of Democratic and progressive Mormons, and these like to be vocal. Most Mormons are nominally Republican, but definitely not MAGA's natural voting bloc. CIA Republican--not good. With only Mormons there would be no MAGA.

When it comes to white identity politics they are not your enemy but they are also definitely not your friend. They love hispanics, most of their converts are hispanics (but retention is low, so most active Mormons are white). And if many Mormons are your friend (and many many are) it's for reasons that have nothing to do with their religion.

There is no good answer to the Mormon Question or the LDSQ. I think the story of the religion is cool, but Church membership might (Might) be on the cusp of collapse. If you want to know more you should read the first half of Harold Bloom's "The American Religion"--pretty much the only great book on the subject. Bloom suggests (in 1992/2006) that Mormonism might take over America, but it hasn't, and its high growth days are likely in the past.

There's not even much discuss. The subject isn't even very interesting. Ultimately in politics (and life), race and physiognomy matters more than religion. White mormons (who's ancestors converted long ago, and these are the most faithful/active) are very Nordic, usually a mix of British and Scandinavian. But there's a great deal of diversity within ethnic groups. Very feminist and respectful of women. And naive, very naive--you'd have to be to believe in the religion. But ultimately it depends on the sub-ethnic group, and asking or answering the "Mormon Question", or even talking about them with clarity as I've tried to do, is pointless. I'm not sure if the Mormons as a united religious group are going to even last for much longer. Retention rates are dropping. I expect a slow linear decline.

    MORMONS ARE NOT A MONOLITH

    , @anon1001
    @J.Ross

At least they don't make a big fuss about having been persecuted, or engage in victim morality. Mormons don't complain about people mocking them, but wear it as a badge of honor.

On the other hand, this somewhat has to do with how embarrassed Mormons feel about the "Priesthood ban." Blacks weren't allowed to have the Priesthood until 1978. (Brigham Young, and not Joseph Smith, instituted it.) This is a source of painful embarrassment--hard to underestimate. So, better not bring up anything that would draw attention to it.

“They can do what they want with their money.”

Funny how quickly republicans abandon those principles when the situation is reversed.

I think the capitalist class has relinquished any claim to whatever moral influence it may have had due to current inconsistency. If they don’t play fair, then why not seize their property?

I often wonder why Republicans defend “capitalism” when that’s a Marxist term. I like the idea of free markets, but rule by money sounds horrible and dystopian. Monopolies are a celebrated feature of capitalism, but they are inimical to free markets

Because markets predate capitalism by a few millennia. Markets are certainly a necessary condition for capitalism but the reverse does not hold true.

Capitalism is characterised by the dominance of capital in economic and social affairs, i.e., the primary imperative is for capital holdings to expand in value thereby forcing all other social forms (families, nations, sports, arts) to accommodate themselves to it in order to survive.

Alinsky's rules show some insight, but the thing about them is they only work on people who take them to heart and allow them to work on them. If a person or group of people don't give jack schitt about the "rules" you espouse, then what? And that's doubly true if society won't back you up when you complain that, waaah, waaah, they aren't playing fair.

Where (((Alinsky))) knew what he was doing was that his "rules" are tailor made to subdue and conquer modern day White Gentiles-weak, deracinated, shamed, fearful, with no group cohesiveness or self-confidence. His rules work on them, especially when done by nonwhites, like a razor sharp Buck 110 lockblade cutting into room temperature butter. The other way--Whites doing it to nonwhites--not so much.

"Ridicule is man's most potent weapon"--Oh, yeah? Head into Harlem or the South Bronx and ridicule some negro/hispanic teens at 2 AM. See how devastated they are by your ridicule. Or go to a Hell's Angels bar and ridicule one of their old ladies. Have fun with that.

BLM uses "(((Alinsky"))) tactics by invading restaurants where Whites are eating. They shout, get in the diners' faces, knock things off their tables, and humiliate them into repeating "black Lives Matter"--they just did it in Dallas the other day.

Negroes eat dinner and brunch out, too. Have a group of 10-15 Whites go into a Harlem restaurant on a Sunday, where negroes are eating, and have the Whites harangue the negroes about black crime--I'll guarantee you the negroes will rise as one and beat the Whites unmercifully on the spot.

I think it may perhaps be that Mormons, being as weird as they are by virtue of their religious beliefs and practices which in the past included polygamy, have in the current era made great efforts to be perceived as clean and especially nice.

And if your primary aim is being perceived to be nice, you will be fairly easily manipulated by the people who control what the masses conceive of as nice and not nice.

Being a racist is definitely NOT nice.
  15. Doesn’t he mean, “All kids SHOULD have equal opportunities, HOWEVER, the Jazz can do whatever they want with their funds”?

  16. It is a major failing that this country assumes that because most of our people doing really well are white, that means no white people need help.

    That is completely incorrect.

And yet most of the people in Congress are white, as are a majority of politicians at the state and local levels, I think. This ignorance is inexcusable on their part.

The Jazz are discriminating against whites if they refuse to consider them for scholarships simply on the basis of race. That is clear on its face. Why is the Governor defending them? I am willing to concede that people in the Jazz organization may not realize how needy some whites can be. But the response should be to educate them about lower income whites, not to deny that discrimination is going on.

  17. According to their website the Jazz are offering a full cost of attendance scholarship to a student of color in the state for every win they have this season. Is there a white kid in the state willing to sue for this? If there was, could he find a lawyer to take his case?

Maybe that made sense in another era but not today's USA where governments and large corporations only hire White men when they have to which means when they have very specific skills. I have such skills and I still think the whole system is f-ing stupid. I see mediocre hires all the time because large organizations are afraid of being too White and too male.

They need to go back to starting businesses for their children instead of embracing this stupid conservative belief that they should just be kicked to their bootstraps at 18.

Maybe that made sense in another era but not today’s USA where governments and large corporations only hire White men when they have to which means when they have very specific skills. I have such skills and I still think the whole system is f-ing stupid. I see mediocre hires all the time because large organizations are afraid of being too White and too male.

Love how he defends it with capitalist principles:

"They can do what they want with their money."

Funny how quickly republicans abandon those principles when the situation is reversed.

I think the capitalist class has relinquished any claim to whatever moral influence it may have had due to current inconsistency. If they don't play fair, then why not seize their property?

I often wonder why Republicans defend "capitalism" when that's a Marxist term. I like the idea of free markets, but rule by money sounds horrible and dystopian. Monopolies are a celebrated feature of capitalism, but they are inimical to free markets

How about this for a new, populist slogan for smart republicans:

    QUOTE:
After receiving his education at Iowa Agricultural College (Iowa State University), Dr. Carver gained an international reputation during his career at Tuskegee University. His research resulted in the creation of 325 products from peanuts, more than 100 products from sweet potatoes, and hundreds more from a dozen other plants native to the South. These products contributed to rural economic improvement by offering alternative crops to cotton that were beneficial for the farmers and for the land.

One hundred scholarships in the amount of tuition are awarded to incoming multicultural first year students, directly out of high school as part of the George Washington Carver (GWC) Scholarship program.

Eligibility: students must fulfill all minimums to be invited to apply for the GWC scholarship:

Have a minimum 3.50 grade point average; AND
Identify as American Indian or Alaskan Native, African American, Asian, Pacific Islander, Desi American, Hispanic or Latina/ox, or Multi-Racial on the application for undergraduate admission.
A student must be a U.S. Citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee to qualify.

And that’s doubly true if society won’t back you up when you complain that, waaah, waaah, they aren’t playing fair.

Where (((Alinsky))) knew what he was doing was that his “rules” are tailor made to subdue and conquer modern day White Gentiles-weak, deracinated, shamed, fearful, with no group cohesiveness or self-confidence. His rules work on them, especially when done by nonwhites, like a razor sharp Buck 110 lockblade cutting into room temperature butter. The other way–Whites doing it to nonwhites–not so much.

“Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon”–Oh, yeah? Head into Harlem or the South Bronx and ridicule some negro/hispanic teens at 2 AM. See how devastated they are by your ridicule. Or go to a Hell’s Angels bar and ridicule one of their old ladies. Have fun with that.

BLM uses “(((Alinsky”))) tactics by invading restaurants where Whites are eating. They shout, get in the diners’ faces, knock things off their tables, and humiliate them into repeating “black Lives Matter”–they just did it in Dallas the other day.

Negroes eat dinner and brunch out, too. Have a group of 10-15 Whites go into a Harlem restaurant on a Sunday, where negroes are eating, and have the Whites harangue the negroes about black crime–I’ll guarantee you the negroes will rise as one and beat the Whites unmercifully on the spot.

If they're retired or independently funded, fine. If not, think of ways to attain such freedom. Small enterprise, vital trades, local farming, and grey market activity can all provide such opportunities. Regarding entrepreneurship, a way around diversity diktats is to stay below 20 employees, maybe spinning off separately incorporated subsidiaries to encompass natural growth without quota hires.

  47. How do the Jazz figure out whom to give the scholarships to since all intelligent people know that race is a social construct and not a well-defined biological category? Do scholarship applicants have to submit a genealogical history or 23andMe results to prove that they are well inside the favored category and far outside of the excluded category? Is there a photo submission required or some quantitative measure of skin tone involved? Would Obama have qualified? Are Hispanics, Native Americans, and Asians likewise excluded? I have so many questions.

Of course it must be obvious that if the favored and excluded groups were switched around, then the Jazz and its executives would find out in short order that they could not, in fact, “do what they want with their funds,” at least not without experiencing severe informal punishments which would leave them unemployed with ruined reputations and no prospect for rehabilitation or forgiveness. Utah used to occasionally surprise the nation by tossing out establishment pols like Chris Cannon and Bob Bennett. But after those two lost, the Utah Establishment decided to clamp down and not allow that to ever happen again. And so this is now what we have here.

Here’s an example of something very similar that I happened to remember recently. As early as the mid-1970s there was a program parallel to the National Merit Scholarship program. I gather that it was discontinued a few years ago, but it was called something like the National Black Achievement Awards. Its name indicates the students to whom it was open, and I think a school counselor had to vouch for the racial identity of the student (maybe why it was discontinued). The big-city public schools like the one I graduated from and have written about here were not the only participants; most of the bigger private schools participated too.

Unlike some of you, I did not then and do not now highly value machine-readable tests, but I would have qualified for this award. (I had a very high SAT verbal score, but lower in math.) I can’t remember the amount awarded, but I really needed the money. My high school, which did treat me fairly, made a huge fuss about the awardees. Replies: @Desert Rat, @Reg Cæsar, @Thomas, @anon1001, @anon1001

They definitely are American, in fact they may be the most quintessentially American–and honestly, I don’t know if that’s a good thing. Look at where we are, look at what Americanism has led to.

They are generally more pro-immigration, and they make a big deal about “keeping families together” and, you know, “compassion.” This comes from a naivety about human nature which the religion helps instill.

Mitt Romney stands for all that’s the worst in Mormonism: materialistic (look at his finance career), moralistic, performatively-righteous… hard to put a finger on.

There is no answer to the clear answer to the Mormon Question. It’s interesting to see what happens to the people who leave the Church. Most do fine/are normal, and so you don’t hear as much about them, but look at r/exmormon subreddit and you’ll find the most pathetic form of bitter progressivism that perhaps has ever existed.

There are a decent number of Democratic and progressive Mormons, and these like to be vocal. Most Mormons are nominally Republican, but definitely not MAGA’s natural voting bloc. CIA Republican–not good. With only Mormons there would be no MAGA.

When it comes to white identity politics they are not your enemy but they are also definitely not your friend. They love hispanics, most of their converts are hispanics (but retention is low, so most active Mormons are white). And if many Mormons are your friend (and many many are) it’s for reasons that have nothing to do with their religion.

There is no good answer to the Mormon Question or the LDSQ. I think the story of the religion is cool, but Church membership might (Might) be on the cusp of collapse. If you want to know more you should read the first half of Harold Bloom’s “The American Religion”–pretty much the only great book on the subject. Bloom suggests (in 1992/2006) that Mormonism might take over America, but it hasn’t, and its high growth days are likely in the past.

There’s not even much discuss. The subject isn’t even very interesting. Ultimately in politics (and life), race and physiognomy matters more than religion. White mormons (who’s ancestors converted long ago, and these are the most faithful/active) are very Nordic, usually a mix of British and Scandinavian. But there’s a great deal of diversity within ethnic groups. Very feminist and respectful of women. And naive, very naive–you’d have to be to believe in the religion. But ultimately it depends on the sub-ethnic group, and asking or answering the “Mormon Question”, or even talking about them with clarity as I’ve tried to do, is pointless. I’m not sure if the Mormons as a united religious group are going to even last for much longer. Retention rates are dropping. I expect a slow linear decline.

    MORMONS ARE NOT A MONOLITH

At least they don’t make a big fuss about having been persecuted, or engage in victim morality. Mormons don’t complain about people mocking them, but wear it as a badge of honor.

On the other hand, this somewhat has to do with how embarrassed Mormons feel about the “Priesthood ban.” Blacks weren’t allowed to have the Priesthood until 1978. (Brigham Young, and not Joseph Smith, instituted it.) This is a source of painful embarrassment–hard to underestimate. So, better not bring up anything that would draw attention to it.

Mormons are reflexive cucks. Likely to do with being both Puritan in origin, they came out of the Burnt Over District in Upstate NY in the 1830s, and the widespread polygamy. Followed by widespread placating of their women after the polygamy was officially outlawed.

When W.C. Fields died on December 25, 1946, his will provided small amounts for family members and friends with the $800,000 remainder of his estate being left to establish “The W. C. Fields College for White Orphan Boys and Girls Where No Religion of Any Kind is Ever to be Taught.”

On December 14, 1949, Judge McKay threw out the provision of the will that established a college for orphans. “Mr. Fields, in his lifetime, could have discriminated against other races,” he said, “but he cannot in death call upon the state to undertake the administration of his affairs and supervise a corporation which overrides the constitutionality of equality of rights common to all races.”

A few months later Judge McKay ordered $100,000 paid to Hattie (Fields’ wife), $3,850 to Carlotta Monti (his mistress), $11,550 to Walter (his brother), and $9,240 to Adele (his sister). Federal taxes of $186,000 were paid by the estate, as was $20,000 to California inheritance taxes.

Well, I’m sure Mr Fields would be the first to offer his thanks to Providence that he lived in the United States, a free man in a free country built upon freedom and the unalterable values of liberty and yada-yada-yada. PS: FREEDOM!

This didn't just start. Most of you are making this about basketball and Utah, when those are just incidental here. Here's an example of something very similar that I happened to remember recently.

(I had a very high SAT verbal score, but lower in math.) I can't remember the amount awarded, but I really needed the money. My high school, which did treat me fairly, made a huge fuss about the awardees. The school administrators did not invent this program, but in no way was this fair.

We had a national hispanic honors something in my high school that got awards at an assembly. Most had non-hispanic names because they had white fathers and Hispanic mothers. Some of the people who got the Hispanic awards told me later they felt humiliated by the whole thing.

If whites with backbone stand up to leftist cadre harassers, they would be labeled as racist nazi terrorists, doxxed, fired, and blacklisted because the gov/inc/edu/mil/tv hegemony will not back them. If they’re retired or independently funded, fine.

  126. All Utahns should be proud of the local NBA team discriminating against white children because whites, even children, are bad.

    Typical conservatard take.

Regarding only this specific issue, as someone who believes in freedom, including freedom of association, or in this case patronage, the problem isn’t that the Jazz, or any organization, offers recognition or assistance, e.g. scholarships, specifically to non-whites; here ‘underrepresented students of color’the problem is the same cannot be done by or for Whites.

  127. Miami Heat have been concerned for months about Tyler Herro’s celebrity status.

This drama has been going on for months and the excuse given is that Herro only scored double figures in one of the last four games. It wouldn’t have something to do with his being White, would it?

Herro, you can make a lot of money playing in Italy and it’s a nice place to live, just sayin.

However, this is because of the generally inferior nature of Whites. Unlike blacks we lack the narcissism, violence, impulsiveness and low IQ that has led blacks to become the dominant leadership class and privileged real rulers of America.

Narcissism, violence, impulsiveness and low IQ are in and of themselves not really traits that give rise to dominance. You will note that it was Europe that colonized Africa, not the other way around. No, our wounds are self-inflicted; we are not being killed , we are committing suicide. Civilizational self confidence is all. When you have it, the moon is not out of reach. When you don't , you are too enervated to raise even a finger in your own defense.

Africa’s resources were cheap and necessary for industrial capitalism, no? (although in retrospect, we sure are paying the piper.)

That is at best, arguable and in retrospect (as you note) a grave miscalculation. All of this is irrelevant though to the point I was making; irrespective of whether it was necessary or a good idea etc., the brute fact that it was done tells you that the African constellation of traits - Narcissism, violence, impulsiveness and low IQ - that Whiskey was claiming as leading to dominance, are in reality no such thing.

  130. I was asking a question, not taking a firm stand, as was indicated by the “,no?”

I’m inclined to agree with you but what explains why Europeans have gone to such expense colonizing an entire giant continent (Liberia doesn’t count, and Ethiopia was never truly independent).

So whites colonized that big fat continent at great expense for nothing? Explain this.
