I wrote in VDARE in 2009:

Sailer Strategy Supplement: Rebrand Democrats As The Black Party

… Hispanics and Asians certainly will never be terribly happy with the idea of being junior partners in the white party. (Indeed, lots of white people have an allergy to belonging to the white party.) Hence, the alternative must be framed that if Hispanics and Asians don’t want to be junior partners in the white party, they get to be junior partners in the black party.

Black or white: choose one. …

The subtle cunning of the tactic of rebranding the Democrats as the black party is not to criticize the Democrats for being the vehicle of African-American political activism, but to praise them for it, over and over, in the most offhand “everybody-knows” ways. …

Moreover, Republican rhetoric should encourage feelings of proprietariness among blacks toward their Democratic Party. It’s not all that hard to get blacks to feel that they morally deserve something, such as, for example, predominance in the Democratic Party. African-Americans are good at feeling that others owe them deference.

This kind of subtle language, casually repeated, puts Democrats in a delicate spot. Either they insult blacks by denying this presumption, or they alarm their Asian, Hispanic, and white supporters by not denying it. As everybody knows, but seldom says, black political control hasn’t worked out well for places as far apart as Detroit and Zimbabwe.

Of course, Republicans haven’t followed this advice. Democrats, however, increasingly are. For example, from the NYT oped page:

Don’t Just Thank Black Women. Follow Us.
By ANGELA PEOPLES DEC. 16, 2017

When I joined the 470,000 other women who walked down Constitution Avenue toward the National Mall on Jan. 21, the day after Donald Trump’s inauguration, I carried a sign saying, “Don’t Forget, White Women Voted for Trump.”

My message stood in stark contrast to the theme of togetherness that dominated the Women’s March — the pink “pussy hats” and “girl power” placards, and chants about how women would lead the resistance. This was exactly the point. I made the sign to communicate that in a world where 53 percent of white women voters chose a racist, elitist sexual predator for president, the idea that we all want the same thing is a myth.

The point wasn’t to antagonize the Women’s March participants, who were mostly white. Rather, I wanted to highlight that on a national level, white women are not unified in opposition to Trumpism and can’t be counted on to fight it. Instead, it’s the identity, experience and leadership of black women that we must look to.

Democrats want to position themselves as a pro-woman, pro-immigrant, pro-equality party. We do ourselves a disservice if we believe the myth that a majority of white women voting in the era of Trump are moved by that message. The numbers don’t lie: For many white women, it’s racial identity, not gender or party, that guides their choices in the voting booth.

Last week, by late Tuesday evening, we learned that two-thirds of white female voters in Alabama had once again voted for the Trump agenda, casting ballots for Roy Moore …

Despite this, the Democratic candidate, Doug Jones, was able to score an unlikely victory thanks to the historic turnout of black voters — specifically, black women. A full 98 percent cast ballots for Mr. Jones. Ninety-eight percent.

If I had to make another sign after the Alabama election, it would say this: “Bet on black women. Follow black women. Give power to black women.” I’d wave it in front of the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee and every political start-up’s office, and pass out copies to all those emerging resistance groups. …

Black women are being widely credited for saving the day in Alabama, and that credit is one small step in the right direction. But we don’t need thanks — we need you to get out of the way and follow our lead.

  2. The Democrats really need to rebrand themselves as the Black Party, specifically the Black Women’s Party, because getting 98 percent of that demographic’s vote is not enough. Why not make it 100.

(Makes me recall that Wilson Pickett classic, “99 and a half just won’t do. Gotta have 100.”

  3. The way African Americans (about 10% of the US population and at the bottom of income compared with other races) dominate in Democratic politics is strange. America loves a winner except in liberal politics where they love a loser

The way African Americans (about 10% of the US population and at the bottom of income compared with other races) dominate in Democratic politics is strange. America loves a winner except in liberal politics where they love a loser

First off blacks don't dominate Democratic politics.

Economically, the Democratic party is the state party--the court party, the parasite party. Ever since the Neolithic it's been possible to loot productive people, because ... they can't pack up and move their land! Once there are factions contending one has always been the party representing the interests of "court" itself. Moved to modern democratic politics one party always represents the state itself and the state taxing and doling out goodies for votes.

Ethnically the Democratic party is first and foremost the Jewish party. High verbal IQ, they are well represented occupationally in the state and its associated apparatus and various rent-seeking hangers-on. The Jews provide the lions' share of the Democrats financial backing, organizational capability and ideological propaganda. The blacks are simply a vote bank--bought by welfare on the low end and comfy AA sinecures on the high end. Plus coddled and/or prodded by the Jews minoritarian propaganda. (Whitey did it to ya!) That's the essential reason blacks--black concerns--have any mind share. Black oppression is the sin qua non of minoritarian propaganda. (No matter how much it bugs Jews, the golfocaust is just fundamentally too laughable to be "oppression". They had to borrow slavery and Jim Crow.)

    ~~

If you're talking political representation, then yeah, blacks are pretty well represented.

This again is pretty simple to explain: Everyone runs from blacks so they are geographically concentrated, allowing them to get numerically pretty good political representation.

This, of course, works to Republicans advantage. A big chunk of your oppositions votes are an ethnic vote bank that votes 90-10 and is geographically concentrated. Pack 'em all into districts that will be overwhelmingly Democratic and you're pretty much guaranteed to win most of the remaining--and mostly majority white--districts.

It's actually a tribute to the sheer, pigheaded, unwillingness of the establishment Republicans to represent their middle class white voters' interests that the Republicans aren't permanently locked into Congressional majorities, but manage to abuse and demotivate their base repeatedly enough to lose now and again.
  4. Branding the Democratic Party as the Black Party really won’t work so long as almost all the visible party leaders–from Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, and the Clintons on down a couple of layers–are white.

    • Replies: @AndrewR
Yes, Democrat leadership is white/(((white))) - and elderly. There is a significant chance that Pelosi, Schumer, Feinstein, Jerry Brown, Biden and both the Clintons will not only be out of politics in 5-10 years but deceased. And who will replace them? Name a prominent white Democrat under 50. Young whites already know their role in the Democrat party is as a footstool.

They're explicit about it. This one says that her job is to shut other white people up.

    http://www.breitbart.com/video/2017/01/23/idaho-dems-exec-director-dnc-should-train-people-in-how-to-shut-their-mouths-if-theyre-white/

The Clintonian apparatus faced a temporary fall from power after 2004 largely thanks to fallout from Iraq, among other factors. That's what made the Obama insurgency succeed, in conjunction with Obama's highly superior campaigning skills. However, thanks to a combination of factors-among them Obama's subpar political intimidation and greasing tactics, especially compared to the likes of other modern Democratic Presidents like LBJ or Bill Clinton-the fall from grace wasn't crippling for the neoliberals in the same way it was for the New Dealists after 1968, leading to their presence, if not prominence, in the Obama White House and party apparatus.

This time around, it is different, for two reasons:

    1) Clinton, Schumer, Biden, Pelosi, Feinstein, etc... they are all getting old. Time to start thinking about mortality. 20 years from now, they will likely all be dead. Will be a lot of open spots.

    2) They got their woman last year, and she lost-and she didn't just lost, she lost to a complete political neophyte whose main motivation in running for President was to get more cool stories for the Howard Stern show. Clinton's allies at CNN tried very hard to cover for her in early 2017, but failed miserably. Americans, whatever they think of Trump, by and large don't want her back, Democrats included. So, no matter how you slice it, she's discredited for not just Sanders style economic dissenters, but for the up and coming cultural radicals, too.
    , @SWVirginian
I believe it was in the late 80′s that a young Dem Congressman in TX (Bell?) was getting established in a CD w/ a fair amount of non-white mostly AA voters. He had a great voting record on the things that were important to these non-white voters. After redistricting, his CD went majority minority – a fairly new trend then.

Initial response – Great! He will be in Congress for at least another 10 years and his elections will be a no-sweat cake-walk. His next one was, as I recall.

Then the powers that be in the AA community asked: If this is a minority majority district, why is this white guy our Congressman?

Sure enough, in spite of his good voting record, he was primaried next election and replaced by an AA candidate. No idea where he went then but I never heard about him again.

If it works that way for a CD, why not an entire party? The reason that a lot of white Democrats are Democrats is that the trends in the Democratic Party aren't adversely affecting them - yet. In the future as the Democratic Party represents more immigrants as well as nearly all blacks, it will not be the Democratic Party that these white liberals expected. Bet on it.
    , @AnotherDad

Branding the Democratic Party as the Black Party really won’t work so long as almost all the visible party leaders–from Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, and the Clintons on down a couple of layers–are white.

Philo--true in this moment, but this is rapidly changing. As other commenters are pointing out these folks are *old*. These folks are old boomers--not even peak boomers like me and Steve or late boomers like Obama. (Pelosi isn't even a boomer she's a "silent"--she should be in the retirement home like my dad.)

More importantly, the "legitimacy" for this--white representation of the fringe--on the left is rapidly changing. This is the post-Obama age of "Oscars so white" and taking a knee. Hillary got away with an all-white ticket--she needed someone traditional and non-threatening on the back end given her own persona. But 2016 could well be the last time the Democrats can get away with that even with all the media protection in the world. The minoritarian ideology the Jews have triumped with over the past 60 years, and the stoking it's been given the past decade have really reached a point where I don't think they can just flick a switch and turn it off.

They'll have to be a minority on the Democrats national ticket. And even just white male in the top spot may now be toxic. (Would almost certainly have to be balanced by minority-female or black male.) And inter-minority squabbles--ex. getting blacks to vote for Hispanics as they demand "representation" in the party or risk defection--make working this out more fraught. The Democrats politically what to contend in their own party with the basic truism that their immigration policy has foisted on the rest of us--diversity creates conflict.

    ~~

What we do need though is Republican politicians who are actually verbal facile--most of all who can cut through the b.s. on immigration ("being open to the world labor market is not your friend!"), but everything else as well--*and* have the sack to wade into racial matters and shit stir. Encourage blacks to expect a spot on the ticket. "Democrats depend entirely on black votes to be competitive, time to let blacks lead. No back of the bus!" If they don't get it, call 'em out. "Democrats screw blacks out of spot on the ticket, while screwing them, by giving away their jobs to foreigners--Back of the bus!" We need--badly need--guys willing to stand up to these a-holes and give 'em as much shit as they deserve.
    , @Marty T
Republicans need to do a much better job of fomenting envy among blacks for the white Democratic leadership. Especially envy of black women towards white women, which is very significant. Instead of fighting amongst ourselves it's time to get smart about this.
  5. I’m actually surprised that Roy Moore got 2% of the black female vote… if he did or is that 2% just the statistical noise one finds trying to filter voting precincts by race.

With the House Judiciary Committee hearings to investigate the anti Trump cabal at the FBI/DOJ promising to be a big TV hit for 2018 the sight of Sheila Jackson Lee, Hank Johnson and whomever takes John Conyers place leading the questioning for the Democrats ought to be an embarrassing spectacle sure to put off white voters.

    • Replies: @Prof. Woland
One reason the Southern Baptists were so quick to vote for Trump is that they are already quite racially aware compared to most other Christians. Many whites have had to use religion as a proxy to race because because it is verboten for them to organize along racial lines which is the most natural way for all of us. As the old rules fade, you will see less of a need to glom on to church politics because these same folks will be getting better representation from politicians who can openly advocate for white interests much along the lines of how blacks can do it now. I think this is one of the things that liberals are deathly afraid of. They don't want the competition. It will also force (((everybody))) out of hiding and require everyone to openly declare sides.

  10. Blacks are about 15% of the US population but maybe 3% of the effective population in terms of income, education and occupational status. And that’s being generous. On the other hand Jews are at most 2% of the US population but probably comprise at least 25% of the effective population. So the brains and money behind the Democrat party wants the party to be the “black party”. What’s the Sailerism for that tactic, I forget the name.

  11. Roy Moore really was a terrible candidate. Thanks to him we’re going to have to put up with months of columns from Jews about how a massive Democratic wave will destroy Trump and that the blacks will save the country from being taken over by Putin.

Done and done. The White Liberals sold their souls to that cause a long time ago. It was a Faustian bargain for the White Feminist Democrat ladies. But even though they're being told by uppity elements of formerly quiet minorities to 'check their privilege', anti-White isn't quite yet extended to White Female women and their liberal White shills with penises (they aren't men). Still, all the racism they seeded against White men quite effectively is now catching up a bit.

Don't ignore Keith Ellison either. He's a quiet kind of churn, he didn't get DNC Chair, the Democrats owe him big right now. Clean, articulate, Black. Just like Uncle Joe Biden likes his Blacks. Except: Muslim.

I think it's high time the White Democrat ladies of Feminism Inc. get turned on their fat asses and thrown out of the leadership of the Democrat Party, those White bitches. All they do is lose. The only Democrat to win the White House the past twenty years has been Black, the White woman lost. White women need to go! Not sure where they're to turn when the attack starts, but sooner or later, it will be noticed that the spoils of Women's Liberation went to White women, the privilege resides solely with White women today and when THAT structure gets torn down, it will bode well. For all of us. It is feminism that guided us down the path we're on in society. It ain't working. Time to tear it down again. If the Democrat structure it torn asunder by the Blacks, should I do other than celebrate? Why not have a Black Muslim in the Democrat Party? Under Islam, I get my male privilege back, heh

  22. Branding the democrats as the black party won’t hurt the democrats at least for that next decade. The white working class has already mainly fled. Other non white groups don’t care about good governance so black incompetence won’t deter them from voting Democrat as long as the borders stay porous, benefits keep flowing and hiring preferences are in place that are anti white. Branding it the black party will also appeal to single white uni educated women because it will make it even easier to virtue signal.

And until we shut our mouths, and we listen to those people who don’t, and we lift our people up, so that we all have equity in this country, so that we’re all fighting alongside each other, so that we are all on the same page, and we clearly get where we’re going, we’re not going to break through this. This is not just rhetoric. This is life or death. This moment in our country, the Democratic Party has the opportunity to do something different. We have the opportunity to really confront the fact that we have not been in alignment with our values. We’ve been talking a lot of smack. We need to make sure that our actions and our words and our values all match, and around the issue of race, we are so far out of alignment, I don’t even know the way back.

  24. istevefan says:

Consider that blacks make up approximately 12 percent of US population. That means there are about 40 million blacks in America.

If black America were its own nation it would be about as populous as the combined population of Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Hungary, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

Now consider that 90 percent or more of blacks routinely vote for one party. In what legitimate democracy in the world does 90 percent of the country vote for one party? Even in parliamentary democracies with multiple parties, you won’t have 90 percent of the population voting for either the right or left wing parties.

The only time you see such a large nation voting for one party is either when you have a one-party communist state, e.g. USSR, or when you have a strongman like Saddam. Recall Saddam received close to 100 percent of the vote in the last Iraqi presidential election prior to Gulf War 2.

Now I could see how a smaller group like the Amish might be prone to voting in high numbers for one party. You have a group with a distinctive language and religion who eschew modern technology and generally make their living off farming. I imagine an Amish person living in PA has a similar life experience to one in Ohio or Indiana.

But blacks are spread out and live in all areas of the nation. They also inhabit all strata of society from welfare recipient to recently the Oval Office. You have college educate blacks and high school dropouts. You have blacks in the military and in corporate America. The point is they have a diverse background, yet they vote in ridiculous bloc-like fashion. They are the proverbial monolithic vote when their diverse life experiences would suggest otherwise.

If this the future for our democracy, I’m worried.

I also find it rich that the media heaps praise on blacks for such ridiculous voting patterns while chastising whites for anything worse than a 50-50 split.

    , @Art Deco
Voting blacks tended to be Republicans prior to 1932. From 1932 to 1964, they favored the Democrats, but roughly 30% of voting blacks tended to cast their ballots for Republican candidates. After 1945, blacks began to successfully navigate the labyrinth of chicanery in the Southern states and work their way onto voting registers (aided crucially by federal legislation enacted in 1960 and aided to a degree by supplementary legislation enacted in 1965). The historical curio is that in the course of adding millions of voters drawn from a population segment which had been abused by politicians of the Democratic Party, the ratio of voting preferences among that class of people went from 2.33: 1 to 10:1.

I'm aware of one or two loci in the occidental world where you see those ratios. Ulster is one and Quebec (intermittently) might be another. Both are interesting in this discussion. In Quebec, political separatism gained a considerable constituency after 1959 coincident with the dissipation of Quebec's unique culture. In the U.S., we see extreme ethnic bloc voting emerge even as racial classification is less-and-less salient in determining outcomes in other spheres; such bloc voting benefits the political party most implicated in abusing the black population over the previous century; and the chatterati within that party successfully propagate historical fiction to the effect that such bloc voting is a consequence of something the Republican Party did (the term "Southern Strategy" is uttered as a screen witch might say 'abracadabra', as if blacks have for 50 years been steamed by ads featuring Roy Acuff and Strom Thurmond). N.B. even in Quebec and Ulster, you see varigated prefeferences within communal blocs. There are multiple Unionist and multiple Nationalist parties in Ulster. The right in Quebec may have evaporated electorally by 1981, but some sort of starboard dissent had re-emerged by 2003.

Branding the Democratic Party as the Black Party really won't work so long as almost all the visible party leaders--from Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, and the Clintons on down a couple of layers--are white.

The Clintonian apparatus faced a temporary fall from power after 2004 largely thanks to fallout from Iraq, among other factors. That’s what made the Obama insurgency succeed, in conjunction with Obama’s highly superior campaigning skills. However, thanks to a combination of factors-among them Obama’s subpar political intimidation and greasing tactics, especially compared to the likes of other modern Democratic Presidents like LBJ or Bill Clinton-the fall from grace wasn’t crippling for the neoliberals in the same way it was for the New Dealists after 1968, leading to their presence, if not prominence, in the Obama White House and party apparatus.

This time around, it is different, for two reasons:

    1) Clinton, Schumer, Biden, Pelosi, Feinstein, etc… they are all getting old. Time to start thinking about mortality. 20 years from now, they will likely all be dead. Will be a lot of open spots.

    2) They got their woman last year, and she lost-and she didn’t just lost, she lost to a complete political neophyte whose main motivation in running for President was to get more cool stories for the Howard Stern show. Clinton’s allies at CNN tried very hard to cover for her in early 2017, but failed miserably. Americans, whatever they think of Trump, by and large don’t want her back, Democrats included. So, no matter how you slice it, she’s discredited for not just Sanders style economic dissenters, but for the up and coming cultural radicals, too.

We can enslave the liberals and sell them to the blacks- everyone wins!

Done and done. The White Liberals sold their souls to that cause a long time ago. It was a Faustian bargain for the White Feminist Democrat ladies. But even though they’re being told by uppity elements of formerly quiet minorities to ‘check their privilege’, anti-White isn’t quite yet extended to White Female women and their liberal White shills with penises (they aren’t men). Still, all the racism they seeded against White men quite effectively is now catching up a bit.

Don’t ignore Keith Ellison either. He’s a quiet kind of churn, he didn’t get DNC Chair, the Democrats owe him big right now. Clean, articulate, Black. Just like Uncle Joe Biden likes his Blacks. Except: Muslim.

I think it’s high time the White Democrat ladies of Feminism Inc. get turned on their fat asses and thrown out of the leadership of the Democrat Party, those White bitches. All they do is lose. The only Democrat to win the White House the past twenty years has been Black, the White woman lost. White women need to go! Not sure where they’re to turn when the attack starts, but sooner or later, it will be noticed that the spoils of Women’s Liberation went to White women, the privilege resides solely with White women today and when THAT structure gets torn down, it will bode well. For all of us. It is feminism that guided us down the path we’re on in society. It ain’t working. Time to tear it down again. If the Democrat structure it torn asunder by the Blacks, should I do other than celebrate? Why not have a Black Muslim in the Democrat Party? Under Islam, I get my male privilege back, heh

The reason that a lot of white Democrats are Democrats is that the trends in the Democratic Party aren’t adversely affecting them – yet. In the future as the Democratic Party represents more immigrants as well as nearly all blacks, it will not be the Democratic Party that these white liberals expected. Bet on it.

  45. On the one hand I like this idea because Asians and Latinos don’t really like blacks if they have to live in close proximity to them, much less take orders from them. On the other hand, it really seems to me that the idea that anyone who isn’t ethnically European is some kind of oppressed ‘person of color’ has taken hold in a huge swathe of the population and membership in the coalition of victims will keep them united no matter how grating it is to live under black political hegemony, plus there are a solid 20% of the white population who are ethno-masochists who view knuckling under to minority political supremacy/demands as a mark of virtue.

Added to all of that is that the GOP seems to be incredibly tone-deaf with absolutely no sense of long term political strategy other than rewarding its corporate overlords with cheap labor and tax cuts to keep the campaign donations rolling in.

I'm actually surprised that Roy Moore got 2% of the black female vote... if he did or is that 2% just the statistical noise one finds trying to filter voting precincts by race.

They don’t want the competition. It will also force (((everybody))) out of hiding and require everyone to openly declare sides.

The real beauty of this strategy is that they really cannot make any comment whatsoever about its assertion. But if they do not, the (mostly white anyway) leadership will lose their power and perks. Precious!

And it really doesn’t matter if blacks do or do not actually control the party. Enough liberal whites will start to drift away that it could start to change election results.

  54. @istevefan

Even in parliamentary democracies with multiple parties, you won't have 90 percent of the population voting for either the right or left wing parties.

If this the future for our democracy, I'm worried.

I also find it rich that the media heaps praise on blacks for such ridiculous voting patterns while chastising whites for anything worse than a 50-50 split.

I’m aware of one or two loci in the occidental world where you see those ratios. Ulster is one and Quebec (intermittently) might be another. Both are interesting in this discussion. In Quebec, political separatism gained a considerable constituency after 1959 coincident with the dissipation of Quebec’s unique culture. In the U.S., we see extreme ethnic bloc voting emerge even as racial classification is less-and-less salient in determining outcomes in other spheres; such bloc voting benefits the political party most implicated in abusing the black population over the previous century; and the chatterati within that party successfully propagate historical fiction to the effect that such bloc voting is a consequence of something the Republican Party did (the term “Southern Strategy” is uttered as a screen witch might say ‘abracadabra’, as if blacks have for 50 years been steamed by ads featuring Roy Acuff and Strom Thurmond). N.B. even in Quebec and Ulster, you see varigated prefeferences within communal blocs. There are multiple Unionist and multiple Nationalist parties in Ulster. The right in Quebec may have evaporated electorally by 1981, but some sort of starboard dissent had re-emerged by 2003.

    • Replies: @Noah172
Canada's francophones aren't politically monolithic to the degree of US Negroes. In the 1995 independence referendum, ~40% of Quebec's francophones (exit poll IIRC) voted no (total no vote was 50.5%, what with the near unanimous opposition of Quebec's anglophones and allophones). The francophones also split their votes among the left parties (Bloc, Grits, NDP).

And your own comment undermines your point WRT to Ulster: two Unionist and two Republican parties (although both groups consolidated around the more strident parties on their respective sides in the recent Commons election). Ulster Prots were also split on Brexit: most were for Leave, but there were enough Prot Remainers (affluent Belfasters if I'm not mistaken) combined with the Catholics (basically all for Remain) that Ulster went 56% Remain. In any case, NI is only 3% of the UK -- the blacks are one-eighth of America with little political variety (not only 90% Dem, but overwhelmingly liberal on a host of specific issues).
  55. @Prof.

One reason the Southern Baptists were so quick to vote for Trump is that they are already quite racially aware compared to most other Christians.

No, they’re quite aware that every significant social element within the Democratic Party despises them.

Black ladies always vote en masse for the Democrat, even a cipher like Doug Jones, but 30,000 male black felons provided the winning margin. It will be interesting to see what the newly minted senator plans to do for them.

  58. @Gurney Halleck
Bro, sometimes you say stupid shit. There's a reason by and large hispanics and Asians vote Democrat, and those reasons can't be made to go away by labeling Dems the "black party." Is this one of those posts where you titillate your readers with racism so they donate to you come e-begging time?

You make a good point; perhaps instead of “the Black Party” they should be “the gibsmedat” party. It’s something even the Hispanics and Asians can get behind, and it’s only a short jump from “gibsmedat” to the “Free Sh!t Army” of Bernie Bros or the “gibsdemdat aka Tikkun Olam” for some current Dem (((leaders))).

    From the memory hole:

How South Carolina’s Black Vote Saved 2016 for Hillary Clinton

The state and the voters that doomed her 2008 candidacy may have just done the same to Bernie Sanders.

By Joan Walsh FEBRUARY 28, 2016

When the history of the 2016 presidential primary is written, if Hillary Clinton is the party’s nominee, it will show that Senator Bernie Sanders’s campaign effectively ended in South Carolina, where Clinton trounced him by 49 percent, winning African Americans by an astonishing 86–14 margin. (She also won whites 54–46, a first for Clinton this primary season.)

Tweets from 2015 about Hillary’s Black lady voters:

White Democrats happy to live a Black-free life in Iowa and New Hampshire voted for Bernie Sanders in droves. Hillary Clinton happily lives a Black-free life in the mostly White town of Chappaqua, New York. Hillary always knew she could snuff out the campaign of Bernie Sanders by getting the Black ladies in the South to hit Bernie over the head with an electoral handbag.

Ok, then, NI Prots and Catholics are each <2% of the UK, and are concentrated in one small geographic region with a distinct history. The point the first commenter mentioning American blacks was making is that they are an exceptionally cohesive political bloc despite large numbers (both absolute and relative), geographic dispersion, and class/occupational variance. There aren't many analogues to this -- again, a demographic bloc larger than a single-digit percentage of the electorate, geographically dispersed, which consistently and overwhelmingly supports one political party and/or one ideological persuasion -- among advanced-world democracies. Israeli Arabs would be the closest that springs to my mind: ~1/5th of the eligible Israeli electorate, voted nearly unanimously Labour when Israel had direct elections for Prime Minister (1996-2001), went overwhelmingly Joint List in recent elections (despite that bloc containing secularist and Islamist factions), and likely to do so again for the near future.

First off blacks don’t dominate Democratic politics.

Economically, the Democratic party is the state party–the court party, the parasite party. Ever since the Neolithic it’s been possible to loot productive people, because … they can’t pack up and move their land! Once there are factions contending one has always been the party representing the interests of “court” itself.

The Jews provide the lions’ share of the Democrats financial backing, organizational capability and ideological propaganda. The blacks are simply a vote bank–bought by welfare on the low end and comfy AA sinecures on the high end. Plus coddled and/or prodded by the Jews minoritarian propaganda. (Whitey did it to ya!) That’s the essential reason blacks–black concerns–have any mind share. Black oppression is the sin qua non of minoritarian propaganda. (No matter how much it bugs Jews, the golfocaust is just fundamentally too laughable to be “oppression”. They had to borrow slavery and Jim Crow.)

    ~~

If you’re talking political representation, then yeah, blacks are pretty well represented.

Pack ’em all into districts that will be overwhelmingly Democratic and you’re pretty much guaranteed to win most of the remaining–and mostly majority white–districts.

It’s actually a tribute to the sheer, pigheaded, unwillingness of the establishment Republicans to represent their middle class white voters’ interests that the Republicans aren’t permanently locked into Congressional majorities, but manage to abuse and demotivate their base repeatedly enough to lose now and again.

  74. @Philo
Branding the Democratic Party as the Black Party really won't work so long as almost all the visible party leaders--from Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, and the Clintons on down a couple of layers--are white.

Branding the Democratic Party as the Black Party really won’t work so long as almost all the visible party leaders–from Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, and the Clintons on down a couple of layers–are white.

Philo–true in this moment, but this is rapidly changing. As other commenters are pointing out these folks are *old*. These folks are old boomers–not even peak boomers like me and Steve or late boomers like Obama. (Pelosi isn’t even a boomer she’s a “silent”–she should be in the retirement home like my dad.)

More importantly, the “legitimacy” for this–white representation of the fringe–on the left is rapidly changing. This is the post-Obama age of “Oscars so white” and taking a knee. Hillary got away with an all-white ticket–she needed someone traditional and non-threatening on the back end given her own persona. But 2016 could well be the last time the Democrats can get away with that even with all the media protection in the world. The minoritarian ideology the Jews have triumped with over the past 60 years, and the stoking it’s been given the past decade have really reached a point where I don’t think they can just flick a switch and turn it off.

They’ll have to be a minority on the Democrats national ticket. And even just white male in the top spot may now be toxic. (Would almost certainly have to be balanced by minority-female or black male.) And inter-minority squabbles–ex. getting blacks to vote for Hispanics as they demand “representation” in the party or risk defection–make working this out more fraught. The Democrats politically what to contend in their own party with the basic truism that their immigration policy has foisted on the rest of us–diversity creates conflict.

    ~~

What we do need though is Republican politicians who are actually verbal facile–most of all who can cut through the b.s. on immigration (“being open to the world labor market is not your friend!”), but everything else as well–*and* have the sack to wade into racial matters and shit stir. Encourage blacks to expect a spot on the ticket. “Democrats depend entirely on black votes to be competitive, time to let blacks lead. No back of the bus!” If they don’t get it, call ’em out. “Democrats screw blacks out of spot on the ticket, while screwing them, by giving away their jobs to foreigners–Back of the bus!” We need–badly need–guys willing to stand up to these a-holes and give ’em as much shit as they deserve.
