Periodically, the New York Times publishes work by their staffers that detonate much of the assumptions built up by hundreds of other NYT pieces, such as the (belated but welcom) reporting over the summer on all the devastation caused by the riots.

Here’s an important piece from the New York Times opinion page about Antifa (without ever using the term “Antifa”):

The Truth About Today’s Anarchists

“Insurrectionary anarchists” have been protesting for racial justice all summer. Some Black leaders wish they would go home.

By Farah Stockman
Ms. Stockman is a member of the editorial board.

Sept. 30, 2020

On the last Sunday in May, Jeremy Lee Quinn, a furloughed photographer in Santa Monica, Calif., was snapping photos of suburban moms kneeling at a Black Lives Matter protest when a friend alerted him to a more dramatic subject: looting at a shoe store about a mile away.

He arrived to find young people pouring out of the store, shoeboxes under their arms. But there was something odd about the scene. A group of men, dressed entirely in black, milled around nearby, like supervisors. One wore a creepy rubber Halloween mask.

The next day, Mr. Quinn took pictures of another store being looted. Again, he noticed something strange. A white man, clad in black, had broken the window with a crowbar, but walked away without taking a thing.

Blacks have done plenty of looting on their own over the decades. My guess is that local Minneapolis blacks looting the Target on May 27 was like the Bat Signal to the regional white Antifa who burned the 3rd Precinct on May 28.

But perhaps the mysterious Umbrella Man who apparently started the looting in Minneapolis by smashing an AutoZone window was a white leftist. The media trumpeted back in July that he’d been proven to be a rightwing extremist, but then that story vanished.

Mr. Quinn began studying footage of looting from around the country and saw the same black outfits and, in some cases, the same masks. He decided to go to a protest dressed like that himself, to figure out what was really going on. He expected to find white supremacists who wanted to help re-elect President Trump by stoking fear of Black people. What he discovered instead were true believers in “insurrectionary anarchism.”

To better understand them, Mr. Quinn, a 40-something theater student who worked at Univision until the pandemic, has spent the past four months marching with “black bloc” anarchists in half a dozen cities across the country, chronicling the experience on his website, Public Report.

He says he respects the idealistic goal of a hierarchy-free society that anarchists embrace, but grew increasingly uncomfortable with the tactics used by some anarchists, which he feared would set off a backlash that could help get President Trump re-elected. In Portland, Ore., he marched with people who shot fireworks at the federal court building. In Washington, he marched with protesters who harassed diners.

Mr. Quinn discovered a thorny truth about the mayhem that unfolded in the wake of the police killing of George Floyd, an unarmed Black man in Minneapolis. It wasn’t mayhem at all.

While talking heads on television routinely described it as a spontaneous eruption of anger at racial injustice, it was strategically planned, facilitated and advertised on social media by anarchists who believed that their actions advanced the cause of racial justice. In some cities, they were a fringe element, quickly expelled by peaceful organizers. But in Washington, Portland and Seattle they have attracted a “cultlike energy,” Mr. Quinn told me.

Don’t take just Mr. Quinn’s word for it. Take the word of the anarchists themselves, who lay out the strategy in Crimethinc, an anarchist publication: Black-clad figures break windows, set fires, vandalize police cars, then melt back into the crowd of peaceful protesters. When the police respond by brutalizing innocent demonstrators with tear gas, rubber bullets and rough arrests, the public’s disdain for law enforcement grows. It’s Asymmetric Warfare 101.

An anarchist podcast called “The Ex-Worker” explains that while some anarchists believe in pacifist civil disobedience inspired by Mohandas Gandhi, others advocate using crimes like arson and shoplifting to wear down the capitalist system. According to “The Ex-Worker,” the term “insurrectionary anarchist” dates back at least to the Spanish Civil War and its aftermath, when opponents of the fascist leader Francisco Franco took “direct action” against his regime, including assassinating policemen and robbing banks.

If that is not enough to convince you that there’s a method to the madness, check out the new report by Rutgers researchers that documents the “systematic, online mobilization of violence that was planned, coordinated (in real time) and celebrated by explicitly violent anarcho-socialist networks that rode on the coattails of peaceful protest,” according to its co-author Pamela Paresky. She said some anarchist social media accounts had grown 300-fold since May, to hundreds of thousands of followers.

“The ability to continue to spread and to eventually bring more violence, including a violent insurgency, relies on the ability to hide in plain sight — to be confused with legitimate protests, and for media and the public to minimize the threat,” Dr. Paresky told me.

Her report will almost certainly catch the attention of conservative media and William Barr’s Department of Justice, which recently declared New York, Portland and Seattle “anarchist jurisdictions,” a widely mocked designation accompanied by the threat of withholding federal funds.

There’s an even thornier truth that few people seem to want to talk about: Anarchy got results. …

And yet, I had to admit that the scale of destruction caught the media’s attention in a way that peaceful protests hadn’t. How many articles would I have written about a peaceful march? How many months would Mr. Quinn have spent investigating suburban moms kneeling? That’s on us.

While I feared that the looting and arson would derail the urgent demands for racial justice and bring condemnation, I was wrong, at least in the short term. Support for Black Lives Matter soared. Corporations opened their wallets. It was as if the nation rallied behind peaceful Black organizers after it saw the alternative, like whites who flocked to the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. after they got a glimpse of Malcolm X.

But as the protests continue, support has flagged. The percentage of people who say they support the Black Lives Matter movement has dropped from 67 percent in June to 55 percent, according to a recent Pew poll.

“Insurrectionary anarchy” brings diminishing returns, especially as anarchists complicate life for those working within the system to halt police violence. …

In Seattle, Andrè Taylor, a Black man who lost his brother to police violence in 2016, helped change state law that made it nearly impossible to prosecute officers for killing civilians. But he has been branded a “pig cop” by young anarchists because his nonprofit organization receives funds from the city, and because he cooperates with the police.

Andre Taylor is the old pimp who is being paid $150k per year by Seattle taxpayers to be Street Czar.

It’s almost as if the black and white sides have different desires.

… In other words, it’s not really about George Floyd or Black lives, but insurrection for insurrection’s sake.

NYT: "White" Leftist Anarchists Are Organizing Riots, Much Like Bill Barr Says

The air quotes are mine and the make all the difference.

Really!!! This is hilarious, for the red pilled at least. But this NYT article is no gaff. It is a purely calculated move.

This is the old tired steaming pile of "Fellow White Person" BS covered in a rich sauce of chutzpah and Bag Piping Bill Barr knows exactly who he is running cover for.

But this is just the standard operating procedure of TWMNBN.

First they will tell you that you are a crazy conspiracy theorist for believing that ANTIFA even exists, or worse could be involved in nationwide rioting. They will say that only the same loonies that insist that there is no credible evidence that homicidal gas chambers at Nazi death camps used to kill the 6 million ever existed, would possibly believe otherwise.

Now that ANTIFA clearly numbers into the hundreds of thousands if not millions, if you count the sympathizers, there is no other option but to be out in the open. So from now on the play will be present ANTIFA as a legitimate political movement so that it can openly demand the support of the Democratic party. Therefore the scam is to tell you that ANTIFA is a wholly organic grass roots movement of economically disaffected white people that has a lineage to other noble uprisings dating back centuries. You know to Spartacus and the Gracchi. Better yet lots of normie Republicans might just believe that ANTIFA is directly linked to those DEMON-RAT Democrats.

The obvious truth is that ANTIFA is a wholly manufactured golem of TWMNBN being welded to terrorize the goyim middle class of both parties. One problem now is whether or not the goyim might wake up in time as to who created controls, directs, and largely financially supports ANTIFA. The other problem is that TWMNBN could lose control of their golem or simply fall blindly in love with its potential to destroy. Like Kevin Macdonald might say, "They can not help themselves".

What happens when goyim gets sick of ANTIFA, but decide that instead of being just content to street fight with a bunch of criminal, drug addicted, LGBTQ and crazy vegan fellow goyim, simply wake up and realize that the least bloody option is to act directly against the puppet masters?

No, more like a modified, limited hangout. There is a definite hierarchy among the remove Trump by any means necessary team. It's been evident that the NYT has been replacing personnel of late, including its publisher, in anticipation of something. Likely this is in preparation for revelations of the hand in glove Fake News the NYT orchestrated in RussiaGate.

FBI/DOJ aren't the only entities playing "Protect the institution catchup.

Set aside how much of what followed George Floyd's death was planned as a fool's errand when events are in motion. It's enough for our purposes here to notice that Democrats and their Allied Media mainstreamed BLM and ran cover for Antifa.

Their plan was to goad Trump into a Maiden-like incident.

Having failed in this effort, with Trump brilliantly adhering to federalism and refusing to take their bait in DC -- with Romney, Mattis, Powell and other Republican and National Security figures opening their Kimonos too soon, they went to what is always their Plan B, blaming the whole shebang on the blacks.

It really is impossible to overstate how brilliantly Trump neutralized their plot. Which they had intended to be a heads we win, tails Trump loses. Either they hit the jackpot with deaths and injuries of peaceful protesters and National Guard alike. Or they at least reverse Trump's increased support among black voters.

The shot caller in the Democrat Party and Allied Media are in desperation mode as no one, least of all blacks, are buying their Big Lie that the revolutionist violence, as opposed to the "undocumented shopping, is a black (and brown) uprising. Whatever the NYT is gingerly retconning, everyone has know for months that the Color Revolution antics have been orchestrated by Antifa, which is made up primarily of children of the upper middle and middle class whites.

The dirty little secret is that this cohort, parents and their children alike, thrived under Obama. They were betting on their children becoming the new overlords.

They're correctly worried about it backfiring.

They don't want a video of a cop getting hit with a brick before the election.

These antifa idiots have been marching into solidly liberal portland neighborhoods.

The mainstream liberal media may find them charming but the rioting season needs to end or at least be put on hold in case Trump wins.

    , @Pop Warner
    @Mike_from_SGV

It's so they can blame evil whites instead of noble Black Bodies for all of the violence

It’s in more than just those two cities. The only people arrested in Wisconsin—Kenosha, Madison, Milwaukee—that were charged and weren’t immediately released was by the feds. Locals are complicit. Feds arrested about a half dozen in each place and the riots mostly stopped. In Pennsylvania that single judge kept about a half dozen in jail and the riots stopped.

It’s all really simple to keep a lid on, and the only reason it continues is because the leftists in power in these cities want it to. That should scare people more than the actual riots.

  6. Hi, Steve. I was wondering if you think it would be a good idea for Trump to follow up Biden’s request for him to disavow white supremacists by asking Biden to disavow black supremacists like the Black Hebrew Israelites and the Nation of Islam. Yes, the New York Times belatedly and furtively admits to what every rightwinger has been saying for months.

Now, in future years, if anyone dares criticize the NYT's months of dishonest reporting of the 2020 riots, the NYT can point to this op-ed piece and say "No, we reported that!" (though they carefully avoided mentioning Antifa or other Soros orgs). Never mind that 99.9% of their reporting said exactly the opposite. This one tiny drop of semi-factual reporting (in the Op Ed section) will absolve them of the brimming vat of lies they have been retailing for months (and no doubt will continue to retail for more months).

(Of course, even in this mea culpa piece they are still trotting out their unsubstantiated slander of police by writing, "the police killing of George Floyd" as if it were a proven fact.)

As AndrewR points out, the Media-Dem Industrial Complex, in the wake of BLM's collapsing popularity, must have decided that they need an angle to attack it without alienating their black and black-ally base. The nefarious "white insurrectionist anarchists" is that angle.

Meanwhile, the megaphoning of lies and slander that are getting real people killed in real life will continue apace.

Separately, I note the pitiful state of affairs that facts that have been obvious to rightwingers for months were unmentionable in polite society until the gatekeepers at the "Paper of Record" deign to allow it. The NYT has a track record of perfect disinformation, yet somehow they still get to decide what is and is not allowed in broader society and the mass social media platforms. Now that's power!

Some of us here have been trumpeting that what is going on in this country is not a war against Whites.

It is an attempt by junior members and allies of the White ruling elite, the so-called "parasitic verbalist overclass," to expand and solidify their power, using Black people as pawns.

Rather like the Cultural Revolution in China, where Mao used the Red Guards as tools to defeat his political opponents.

Again, I urge everyone to read Michael Lind's book published a few months ago, The New Class War: Saving Democracy from the Managerial Elite. I don't agree with Lind's solutions: Lind is basically an old-style JFK liberal, and I think it is old-style liberalism which created the structural prerequisites (the universities, the regulatory-compliance industry, the bizarre monetary and financial system centered on the Fed, etc.) for the current insanity.

But Lind is pretty good at laying out some of the history.

I think it is also time for everyone to start brushing up on the Chinese Cultural Revolution, which may well be our future. Ji-li Jiang's Red Scarf Girl: A Memoir of the Cultural Revolution is a moving look at a family that tried to be "good revolutionaries."

And a truly inspiring account of young people who struggled to preserve and expand their minds during the Cultural Revolution is Zi-ping Luo's A Generation Lost : China Under the Cultural Revolution. Luo, by the way, eventually earned a PhD at Princeton, did a post-doc at Caltech, co-founded a biotech start-up, and is now a professor emeritus in chem at Cal Poly Pomona. Perhaps there is hope for the human race.

  14. This recent anti-Antifa phenomenon shows that while the ruling elites see BLM as an ally in further dividing Americans towards impotence to elite rule, at the same time they see Antifa as a danger. Radicalized Bernie Bros (Gals and Others) are appropriating black rage–stoked by the elite for electoral politics–and channeling it into subversive actions that threaten the wealth and stability of the elite. What the NYT is trying to do is to keep BLM sacralized (since it poses no danger to them) while profaning Antifa for being white, all-too-white. A close look at some of the interactions during the riots would already demonstrate racial/cultural tensions between black protesters/rioter and Antifa. The NYT intends to drive this wedge much further.

Antifa are more Marxist than anarchist, although there is overlap between the two concepts. If the police were to be further weakened in Blue Cities, and so called “white supremacist” militias attrited, ruling elites would be vulnerable to house-to-house reparation committees organized by Antifa and carried out by blacks. After all, only a white supremacist would resist blacks getting what they deserve “by other means” since the political system refuses to grant them reparations.

In order to protect ruling class interests and wealth, the NYT will continue to stoke black ethno-narcissism and with the goal of provoking blacks into humiliating and ultimately rejecting Antifa. Because the way this is going, if Biden wins, Antifa will only be more emboldened. Antifa are looking to create a political base in Oregon and some other Blue Cities where they will benefit from state/local government protection. Once “Biden” is safely in power, he will need ideological buttressing for unleashing Federal power against Antifa. What better excuse for going after radicalized Bernie Bros than claiming that whitey is profaning the sacred black struggle?

…perhaps the mysterious Umbrella Man who apparently started the looting in Minneapolis by smashing an AutoZone window was a white leftist. The media trumpeted back in July that he’d been proven to be a rightwing extremist, but then that story vanished.

That was after Minneapolis PD turned up CCTV footage of the offender in action.

Hi, Steve. I was wondering if you think it would be a good idea for Trump to follow up Biden's request for him to disavow white supremacists by asking Biden to disavow black supremacists like the Black Hebrew Israelites and the Nation of Islam. After all, the Democrats have a lock on the black supremacist vote. If Trump names these groups, the press will have to actually mention them in print.

This all was fairly obvious to anyone watching the livestreams coming from Minneapolis. As I pointed out on June 1st:

There are large number of white anarchists (SWPL/antifa/punk rock kiddies) who want to use black people as a catalyst for their larger political project (play acting as Marxist-Leninist revolutionaries) . …

One other funny thing was that rumors began spreading late Friday night that the black block hipsters with crowbars (kids who in a previous generation would be wearing a Che-Guevara shirt) were actually white-supremacists or feds. Black twitter suspected they were being played; this is why violence was somewhat muted on Saturday. Poor hipsters thought they were on verge of 1968 (or even 1917) type situation.

In contrast to cities with a lot of black people (like Minneapolis) where the main goal is to stir the pot and cause looting/disorder, the anarchists in Portland are trying to bait the police into going “full Kent State”. This is what the umbrella thing is about, which they probably copied from the CIA riots in Hong Kong in summer 2019. If you see people in gas masks and umbrellas it means what they’re trying to do is make the police panic that their tear gas isn’t going to work in controlling a crowd that outnumbers them, and switch to rubber bullets (or hopefully live ammo).

Yes, the New York Times belatedly and furtively admits to what every rightwinger has been saying for months.

Now, in future years, if anyone dares criticize the NYT’s months of dishonest reporting of the 2020 riots, the NYT can point to this op-ed piece and say “No, we reported that!” (though they carefully avoided mentioning Antifa or other Soros orgs). Never mind that 99.9% of their reporting said exactly the opposite. This one tiny drop of semi-factual reporting (in the Op Ed section) will absolve them of the brimming vat of lies they have been retailing for months (and no doubt will continue to retail for more months).

(Of course, even in this mea culpa piece they are still trotting out their unsubstantiated slander of police by writing, “the police killing of George Floyd” as if it were a proven fact.)

As AndrewR points out, the Media-Dem Industrial Complex, in the wake of BLM’s collapsing popularity, must have decided that they need an angle to attack it without alienating their black and black-ally base. The nefarious “white insurrectionist anarchists” is that angle.

Meanwhile, the megaphoning of lies and slander that are getting real people killed in real life will continue apace.

Separately, I note the pitiful state of affairs that facts that have been obvious to rightwingers for months were unmentionable in polite society until the gatekeepers at the “Paper of Record” deign to allow it. The NYT has a track record of perfect disinformation, yet somehow they still get to decide what is and is not allowed in broader society and the mass social media platforms. Now that’s power!

  23. He says he respects the idealistic goal of a hierarchy-free society that anarchists embrace,

Except that our fantasy lives, which tell us what we really want, show that we long to live in traditional, hierarchical societies where competent rulers make the big decisions for us. And not just in the Game of Thrones sense, but also in the future, as we can see from the perennial popularity of Frank Herbert’s novel Dune and its film adaptations.

When the police respond by brutalizing innocent demonstrators with tear gas, rubber bullets and rough arrests ...

Where is this happening? It looks as though the 'mostly peaceful protesters' have the run of Portland and Seattle. Trump even had to send in DHS agents (of all people) to guard the federal courthouse, since Portland PD wouldn't do the job.

Antisemitism was referenced, but there was no description, there was no definition, there was no instructional materials on what antisemitism is, and on who Jewish Americans are.

    [My bolding]

I don’t care that none of these people are capable of wading through Das Kapital (hell, I only read the Cliff Notes). I don’t care that they don’t talk about the proletariat and have hammer & sickle flags (yet). They are Communists.

I’d really like to go back, if the library ever opens back up, and read some books about the anarchists of a century ago (the teens and 20’s of last century). Even the elites had had enough once these fuckers started blowing up bombs on Wall Street. They were mostly imports, so this was part of the impetus to get that 1924 immigration act through. This time, the anarchists are home-grown, for the most part. Perhaps back then, as is the case now, they are actually Communists at heart.

They are very much like the early anarchists in that they don't have a plan other than attack the system.

Perhaps back then, as is the case now, they are actually Communists at heart.

The Bolsheviks viewed anarchists as useful idiots that could be used to tear down the capitalist system. But they also viewed them as potential rivals since anarchists didn't plan on taking orders from Moscow.

It's amusing that anarchists will talk about the Spanish civil war as some pinnacle for anarchism and worker autonomy. What they don't like talking about is that it was the Communists that crushed their rebellion and split the left which then helped Franco win. The Spanish anarchists really didn't have a plan either other than to take the factories and then..... ?. Communists had a strict hierarchy and plan for revolution.

The Russian Bolsheviks sent their own left-wing allies to gulags and that included the anarchists. They would undoubtedly ship off today's antifa as antisocial elements.

The second draft included a lesson on the Jewish community that angered community leaders.
“It basically was about how Jews have become the beneficiaries of white privilege, which can lead to a number of antisemitic tropes,” Sarah Levin, the executive director of JIMENA: Jews Indigenous to the Middle East and North Africa, told JI. “It already is leading to antisemitic tropes. The second draft still did not include any adequate description of antisemitism. Antisemitism was referenced, but there was no description, there was no definition, there was no instructional materials on what antisemitism is, and on who Jewish Americans are. So it was still really, really, really lacking and problematic.”
The omission of Mizrahi Jews was also met with pushback. “We’re ethnically Middle Eastern, and we fit under the Asian American umbrella. Our parents and grandparents immigrated to the United States from the Middle East, they experienced the same or similar forms of racialization and discrimination,” Levin said.

NYT: “White” Leftist Anarchists Are Organizing Riots, Much Like Bill Barr Says

The air quotes are mine and the make all the difference.

Really!!! This is hilarious, for the red pilled at least. But this NYT article is no gaff. It is a purely calculated move.

This is the old tired steaming pile of “Fellow White Person” BS covered in a rich sauce of chutzpah and Bag Piping Bill Barr knows exactly who he is running cover for.

Like Kevin Macdonald might say, “They can not help themselves”.

What happens when goyim gets sick of ANTIFA, but decide that instead of being just content to street fight with a bunch of criminal, drug addicted, LGBTQ and crazy vegan fellow goyim, simply wake up and realize that the least bloody option is to act directly against the puppet masters?

  49. I’m not surprised to find that the J-words (Jew and Jewish) are nowhere to be found in the article, but the W-word (White) and the B-word (Black) are found. It’s just more evidence that the New York Times is made up of a race of people who have racial grudges against other groups of people and are making an effort to put these other groups at each others throats.

  50. @Digital Samizdat
More late-breaking New York Times news!

Needless to say, this is perfectly fine with Farcebook and YouTube. Just don't mention QAnon!

No, more like a modified, limited hangout. There is a definite hierarchy among the remove Trump by any means necessary team. It’s been evident that the NYT has been replacing personnel of late, including its publisher, in anticipation of something. Likely this is in preparation for revelations of the hand in glove Fake News the NYT orchestrated in RussiaGate.

FBI/DOJ aren’t the only entities playing “Protect the institution catchup.

Set aside how much of what followed George Floyd’s death was planned as a fool’s errand when events are in motion. It’s enough for our purposes here to notice that Democrats and their Allied Media mainstreamed BLM and ran cover for Antifa.

Their plan was to goad Trump into a Maiden-like incident.

Having failed in this effort, with Trump brilliantly adhering to federalism and refusing to take their bait in DC — with Romney, Mattis, Powell and other Republican and National Security figures opening their Kimonos too soon, they went to what is always their Plan B, blaming the whole shebang on the blacks.

It really is impossible to overstate how brilliantly Trump neutralized their plot. Which they had intended to be a heads we win, tails Trump loses. Either they hit the jackpot with deaths and injuries of peaceful protesters and National Guard alike. Or they at least reverse Trump’s increased support among black voters.

The shot caller in the Democrat Party and Allied Media are in desperation mode as no one, least of all blacks, are buying their Big Lie that the revolutionist violence, as opposed to the “undocumented shopping, is a black (and brown) uprising.

I honestly understand the motivation of "I want this" more than "grr let me risk my career to fight for this abstract idea that has absolutely nothing to do with me and will hurt my me and my progeny in the long term." [My bolding]

    [My bolding]

And none dare are paying attention enough to call them Communists. I've noted this time and again. I don't care that none of these people are capable of wading through Das Kapital (hell, I only read the Cliff Notes). I don't care that they don't talk about the proletariat and have hammer & sickle flags (yet). They are Communists.

I'd really like to go back, if the library ever opens back up, and read some books about the anarchists of a century ago (the teens and 20's of last century).

PS: re my first bolded part. No, I don't think we have anything much resembling a Capitalist system anymore, but that's what they want us to think is the problem.

    Replies: @John Johnson

I’d really like to go back, if the library ever opens back up, and read some books about the anarchists of a century ago (the teens and 20’s of last century).

They are very much like the early anarchists in that they don’t have a plan other than attack the system.

Perhaps back then, as is the case now, they are actually Communists at heart.

The Bolsheviks viewed anarchists as useful idiots that could be used to tear down the capitalist system. But they also viewed them as potential rivals since anarchists didn’t plan on taking orders from Moscow.

It’s amusing that anarchists will talk about the Spanish civil war as some pinnacle for anarchism and worker autonomy. What they don’t like talking about is that it was the Communists that crushed their rebellion and split the left which then helped Franco win. The Spanish anarchists really didn’t have a plan either other than to take the factories and then….. ?. Communists had a strict hierarchy and plan for revolution.

The Russian Bolsheviks sent their own left-wing allies to gulags and that included the anarchists. They would undoubtedly ship off today’s antifa as antisocial elements.

    • Replies: @Achmed E. Newman
    @John Johnson

The useful idiots that work on behalf of Communism, even if not intentionally, are still Communists, IMO. Yeah, maybe I just don't have a good term yet. "Hey, you Archy fags!" Nah, see?

Regarding the Spanish Civil War, from my reading, once it was a real war, it was Communists vs. Republicans (more conservative than the people that call themselves "Republicans" now, in America, of course).

Oh, yeah, being on the same side won't keep you out of a big ditch in the end. You have to be one of the Communists who is more equal than the others.

BTW, a question to ask of all these Anarchists: If you are part of an organization, how can you call yourself a proper Anarchist?

It is an attempt by junior members and allies of the White ruling elite, the so-called “parasitic verbalist overclass,” to expand and solidify their power, using Black people as pawns.

And seemingly with the connivance of the senior members of the “White” ruling elite – an elite which doesn’t entirely see itself as “White” by the way.

And it manifests itself as a War Against Whites.

  72. I am so sick and tired of threats to “cutoff federal funding”.

In probably 99.9% of the cases, that project should not have been funded in the first place.

It would be refreshing, and just, to hear Trump threaten funding of USPOs in those states that send out unsolicited, federal election ballots.

  73. He expected to find white supremacists who wanted to help re-elect President Trump by stoking fear of Black people. What he discovered instead were true believers in “insurrectionary anarchism.”

A statement like this is the far left giving itself an “A+” in objectivity and open-mindedness because one of them came to a conclusion that was contrary to the left’s (and his own) preposterous narrative based version of the truth. The, “It must be white supremacists who cause/promote violence at antifa/blm riots” myth is so outlandish that it’s hard to believe there are leftists who actually take it at face value, but in case anyone hasn’t noticed, there are some pretty stupid leftists out there.

Or maybe in the spirit of inclusiveness, the fanatical white left has embraced the Dorian Johnson (Michael Brown’s friend) school of truth telling. I guess that would still qualify as stupid, though.

But as the protests continue, support has flagged. The percentage of people who say they support the Black Lives Matter movement has dropped from 67 percent in June to 55 percent, according to a recent Pew poll.

Aha! Possibly the real reason for the story: when our mythology starts losing it’s influence, we have little to lose by telling the truth.

It's good that NYT is now acknowledging communist anarchists are the ones inciting violence in Portland and Seattle, yet most people I saw doing the looting were black. And most of the violent protesters, looters in MN, KY and NYC were black.

Why are the looters always black?

    Replies: @S. Anonyia

  82. As AndrewR points out, the Media-Dem Industrial Complex, in the wake of BLM’s collapsing popularity, must have decided that they need an angle to attack it without alienating their black and black-ally base.

In the greater sense this is really a civil war on the left between older monied white liberal / Jewish elites needing to expand their base (blacks that have a dog like loyalty to the Dems)in order to stave off the insurgent left made up of various non-traditional colors and income brackets. The deal to black people is that they get to be the top of the Democratic shit heap if they go along with the corporate-tech-political leadership. Elites have a tendency to lose their heads in a revolution so they are all assets deployed. Losing to either the Bernie Sanders new brown deal or the Trump nationalists means they get taken out and replaced. The left will still be there but they won’t.

  83. @Torn and Frayed
This recent anti-Antifa phenomenon shows that while the ruling elites see BLM as an ally in further dividing Americans towards impotence to elite rule, at the same time they see Antifa as a danger. Radicalized Bernie Bros (Gals and Others) are appropriating black rage--stoked by the elite for electoral politics--and channeling it into subversive actions that threaten the wealth and stability of the elite.

If the police were to be further weakened in Blue Cities, and so called "white supremacist" militias attrited, ruling elites would be vulnerable to house-to-house reparation committees organized by Antifa and carried out by blacks. After all, only a white supremacist would resist blacks getting what they deserve "by other means" since the political system refuses to grant them reparations.

Once "Biden" is safely in power, he will need ideological buttressing for unleashing Federal power against Antifa. What better excuse for going after radicalized Bernie Bros than claiming that whitey is profaning the sacred black struggle?

    Replies: @cynthia curran

The leaders of BLM are into the occult like talking with the dead which is popular with a lot of new age liberals while Antifa is harder to relate to.

I’d really like to go back, if the library ever opens back up, and read some books about the anarchists of a century ago (the teens and 20’s of last century).

    Replies: @Achmed E. Newman

The useful idiots that work on behalf of Communism, even if not intentionally, are still Communists, IMO. Yeah, maybe I just don’t have a good term yet. “Hey, you Archy fags!” Nah, see?

Regarding the Spanish Civil War, from my reading, once it was a real war, it was Communists vs. Republicans (more conservative than the people that call themselves “Republicans” now, in America, of course).

Oh, yeah, being on the same side won’t keep you out of a big ditch in the end. You have to be one of the Communists who is more equal than the others.

BTW, a question to ask of all these Anarchists: If you are part of an organization, how can you call yourself a proper Anarchist?

I’m flabbergasted that the NYT would publish this. Maybe it signals that corporate progressives have their limits.
