U.S. FOUND YIELDING TO ‘HATE’ HYSTERIA;

‘Alarming’ Rise Is Also Noted in ‘Promoted Lawlessness’ Resulting in Violence

May 22, 1952

Oh, wait … this is McCarthy Era Hate Hysteria, not Great Awokening Hate Hysteria.

After a study of racial and religious bigotry in the United States covering the last eighteen months, the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith said yesterday that Americans “find themselves accepting hysterical unproved denunciations with less and less repugnance.”

  3. Neither the ADL nor the NYT ever have anything serious to say. That said, their particular fatuousness is mimicked elsewhere : obscenely, the lyingpress has been acknowledging the completely deliberate leftist explosion of violent urban crime, but dishonestly and vaguely, so that a benighted reader gets the impression that it’s the work of red-capped normally-coiffed white-skinned Trump-supporting heterosexual males. They do this despite abundantly available video evidence to the contrary.
    ——-
Steve Bannon says that demented child molester Joe Biden has illegally raided the homes of 35 political enemies; it’s not clear if Bannon’s right, talking about the various raids which have been happening over years and not from Biden, or if Bannon’s wrong. The fact that the Democrat lyingpress hasn’t reported it is not contrary evidence. It certainly seems possible. Gavin McInnes’s prank serves the federal purpose of muddying the waters but was believed at first because Joe Biden is using the FBI to punish dissent.

Good point, and I would also argue that to some extent "Black Twitter" is always in competition with itself to see who can make the nastiest remarks about white people--and the British monarch is definitely an avatar of whiteness.

As is the British Empire, even though it died a long time ago. And even though (or especially since) contrary to media dogma the British Empire was possibly the greatest civilizing force the world has ever known.

But blacks in America have learned that the worse they behave, the more free stuff (not to mention accolades and worship) they get. Irresistible! Not to mention a lifetime reprieve from real work.

So for blacks, their worst tendencies are being reinforced, and it's almost difficult to blame them for taking the easy way out. Almost.

  7. You didn’t provide the link to the 70 years-back NY Times article, but I can make a good guess that what the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith found repugnant then was denunciation of Communists, of which I’m sure they had, and supported, more than their share.

Even 7 decades later the left has got most Conservatives and probably most of the alt-right even, still using “McCarthyism” as a slur. They’ve done a nice job with that, but one can read and find out that Wisconsin Senator Joe McCarthy was accurate and thorough with his accusations. Senator Millard Tydings, head of the committee to investigate his claims, minimized all the evidence, and the Truman administration stonewalled, hoarding records of State Dept. Commies and redacting the living shit out of documents.

I’m still only 2/3 of the way through Stanton Evans Blacklisted by History. It’s got history most Americans wouldn’t believe happened. There were Communists that may have played a big part in keeping America from avoiding war with Japan via diplomacy – see “Did American Commies cause the attack on Pearl Harbor?”. McCarthy ever heard of Anna Rosenberg? One of the many second probably third generation Ellis Island communist Jews.

She arrived at Ellis Island in 1912. A few years later in high school, she organized an anti draft campaign. Not even a citizen yet.

She soon joined every communist front possible. Campaigned for women’s suffrage befriended rights and all the liberal commie front causes. She became good friends with both FDR and Eleanor and had various federal jobs during the depression,. During the war she headed some kind of war industry man power commission.

Her big effort was convincing northern factory owners and city councils to hire and house black southern workers. Which of course led to the destruction of so many northern cities and factory towns Her biggest triumph was in Buffalo NYC. Now a crime ridden black ghetto.

By 1948 Truman made her an assistant secretary of defense. The first woman and who never joined the military in any capacity. Citing her belonging to numerous communist front groups, Senator Joseph McCarthy fought her nomination. But the idiot senate approved her appointment.

Her big triumph at defense department was the desegregation if the military. She was also one of the “confidants” of adulterous lecher FDR.

Quite a career for an Ellis Islander high school grad. Definitely second, perhaps third generation communist Jew. One of the jihadists who poured into America between 1880 and 1950.

I wonder if she had children and grandchildren. If she did, I’m sure they were red diaper babies following in her foot steps.

Blacklisted by History is indeed a great book.

McCarthy's problem was that he was simply bad optics -- a sweaty drunk, like his fellow Mick, Steve Bannon -- plus a typical Middle American belief that all he had to do was produce "evidence" and everyone would agree. The Deep State not only knocked him off but used him as a warning to others; sorta like today.

Interesting how his downfall was triggered by -- if not instigated by -- that creepy Jewish fagele, Roy Cohn, who went on to mentor... Donald Trump.

Surrounded by swamp creatures, Trump could only wail "Where's my Roy Cohn!"

    @Mr. Anon

I've never noticed they made 'hysterical unproved denunciations'. The thing is, the Anti-Defamation League is an example of the March-of-Dimes effect. Their foundational purpose was somewhat twee (Nathan Perlumutter's first task on being hired was traveling to Colorado to persuade a radio station manager to can one of his DJs). Still, they had enough to do to stick to their original mission up until about 30 years ago. Perlmutter retires and is replaced by Abraham Foxman, whose idea is to pivot to culture war agitation. One of Foxman's earlier projects was propagandizing against a corporal's guard of cloistered nuns located adjacent to Auschwitz, a subject Perlmutter wouldn't have touched. (Foxman, like Leon Wieseltier and Neil Kozodoy, comes from the wing of the Jewish chatterati which loathes the Catholic Church).

The analogue to the Anti-Defamation League is the Catholic League. The director of the Catholic League (1) has much more work to do and (2) has only two paid employees to do it.

Every year ADL puts together a list of "extremist" killings by mostly ordinary criminals (some of whom may have a swastika tattoo and/or who have belonged to a mostly white or Naziesque gang in prison for self-protection) or mentally ill persons. Sometimes (very rarely) these killings have an ideological motivation, but it's almost entirely ordinary criminals doing ordinary criminal things or crazy people doing crazy things.

    https://www.amren.com/features/2022/06/more-deceit-from-the-adl/

Major political and media figures argue that white supremacists are the biggest domestic terrorism threat to the United States. The Anti-Defamation League and its “Center on Extremism” (COE) are among the most powerful institutions pushing this view. However, its latest report on “Murder & Extremism in the United States 2021” shows only how absurd that view is. As we will see, of the 19 cases it cites, only one makes its case; the rest refute it... So, what did 2021 add to the extremist crime wave that threatens American democracy? The ADL must be awfully disappointed to have to admit that “domestic extremists” killed only 29 people in 19 separate incidents. To put this in perspective, the CDC reports that in 2020, there were 24,576 murders. This year, 156 people were killed in shootings just over Memorial Day weekend.

The ADL report claims that 26 of the 29 murders “were committed by right-wing extremists,” two by “Black nationalists, and one by an Islamist extremist — the latter being the first such killing since 2018.”...It’s important to note that if someone whom the ADL thinks might be a “white supremacist” killed someone — for any reason at all — it was a case of right-wing extremism and therefore a cause for alarm.

Unlike in some years’ reports, the ADL lists all 19 “extremist” incidents, so we can see just how mendacious its analysis is.

ADL probably thinks all Trump supporters are "white supremacists." Thus, a neighborhood or community loaded with "white supremacists" will be far safer per capita than any predominantly black community in the US.

Senator McCarthy had hundreds of examples of people that should have been vetted by the State Department, but that department had a "hang-out-here-another year-or-so-and-then-resign policy" to deal with those being found out. Nevada Senator McCarran had put an amendment in some bill to specify serious vetting of those being hired at the State Dept, but it was pretty much ignored.

Senator Tydings would just believe every line of the excuses of those officials questioned with no suspicion that they might simply lie. Serious cases were simply put to bed.

You didn't provide the link to the 70 years-back NY Times article, but I can make a good guess that what the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith found repugnant then was denunciation of Communists, of which I'm sure they had, and supported, more than their share.

Even 7 decades later the left has got most Conservatives and probably most of the alt-right even, still using "McCarthyism" as a slur. They've done a nice job with that, but one can read and find out that Wisconsin Senator Joe McCarthy was accurate and thorough with his accusations. Senator Millard Tydings, head of the committee to investigate his claims, minimized all the evidence, and the Truman administration stonewalled, hoarding records of State Dept. Commies and redacting the living shit out of documents.

I'm still only 2/3 of the way through Stanton Evans Blacklisted by History. It's got history most Americans wouldn't believe happened. There were Communists that may have played a big part in keeping America from avoiding war with Japan via diplomacy - see "Did American Commies cause the attack on Pearl Harbor?". Before that, there was the gang of Commies that influenced America's relationships with Chiang and Mao - see "Young Commies in LUV".

The 57 number was of a more specific list than the 205 and one that he meant and maintained that he, McCarthy, DID say in his speech in Wheeling.

Are you anti McCarthy because you’re a communist or a Jew? Or both, being that most of the communists in America from its founding to about 1970 when it disappeared into the New Left and Weather Underground were jews.

In the early 1939s Stalin realized that a political movement consisting of Yiddish speaking New York Jews would not appeal to most non Jewish English speaking Americans. Especially as the official language of CPUSA was Yiddish.

So Stalin ordered big changes in CPUSA

    1. The president of CPUSA not be a Jew. Hence Finnish Gus Hall for decades

2 Neither CPUSA headquarters nor important auxiliary activities be headquartered in New York; then heavily Jewish and considered by most Americans as a Comintern on the Hudson.

3 Headquarters be re located. It was established in Chicago.

4 That English, not Yiddish become the official language for all CPUSA publications and meetings.

5 That they learn to speak English. So as to blend in with the citizens of the country CPUSA planned to take over.

I used to know a lot about CPUSA and it’s satanic offspring the New Left. Every once in a while someone makes a comment and I remember things.

What the Venona project did was to discredit the sort of historiography which maintains that the internal security campaigns were a 'witch hunt' and discredit the defenses of certain marquee figures like Alger Hiss and the Rosenbergs. It has infuriated characters like Victor Navasky that the more you know about Hiss and the Rosenbergs, the worse the case he and his minions have been trying to make looks. It wasn’t just the State Department . . The Bernsteins both husband and wife were communist federal government workers fired by Trumanib the one purge he did. They bought a laundry after that.

Their son Carl grew up , went to work at the Washington Post and he and Woodward cooked up the stories that led to Nixon’s resignation.

Very interesting how Carl Bernstein got the job on the commie loving Washington Post. Right out of high school C minus average barely graduated. He got some sort of gofer job at the Post and became a reporter. Due to parental communist connections

Contrast that resume to Bob Woodward’s resume when he applied for a job at the Washington Post. Yale appropriate major English. 5 years in the Navy in the Pentagon writing reports appropriate work experience. A year or so working as a reporter on a suburban newspaper more appropriate experience.

And those two led the attack on Nixon who won by a landslide. Nixon , along with Johnson and Carter. was a major enemy of Whites and he and his DOJ did Whites great harm. Nixon and. his DOJ are responsible for the forcible injection of incompetent blacks into civil service and other jobs plus school bussing. Nixon and his DOJ implemented more affirmative action. for blacks than any other president

It’s nice to see an Anti White President destroyed. But Carl Bernstein. Must have. hated Nixon as all of us. who were raised by communists and their sympathizers. Nixon and McCarthy were the bogeymen How many kids right out of high school with a C minus average has the prestige Washington Post ever hired ?

Every year ADL puts together a list of “extremist” killings by mostly ordinary criminals (some of whom may have a swastika tattoo and/or who have belonged to a mostly white or Naziesque gang in prison for self-protection) or mentally ill persons. Sometimes (very rarely) these killings have an ideological motivation, but it’s almost entirely ordinary criminals doing ordinary criminal things or crazy people doing crazy things.

    https://www.amren.com/features/2022/06/more-deceit-from-the-adl/

Major political and media figures argue that white supremacists are the biggest domestic terrorism threat to the United States. The Anti-Defamation League and its “Center on Extremism” (COE) are among the most powerful institutions pushing this view. However, its latest report on “Murder & Extremism in the United States 2021” shows only how absurd that view is. As we will see, of the 19 cases it cites, only one makes its case; the rest refute it… So, what did 2021 add to the extremist crime wave that threatens American democracy? The ADL must be awfully disappointed to have to admit that “domestic extremists” killed only 29 people in 19 separate incidents. To put this in perspective, the CDC reports that in 2020, there were 24,576 murders. This year, 156 people were killed in shootings just over Memorial Day weekend.

The ADL report claims that 26 of the 29 murders “were committed by right-wing extremists,” two by “Black nationalists, and one by an Islamist extremist — the latter being the first such killing since 2018.”…It’s important to note that if someone whom the ADL thinks might be a “white supremacist” killed someone — for any reason at all — it was a case of right-wing extremism and therefore a cause for alarm.

Unlike in some years’ reports, the ADL lists all 19 “extremist” incidents, so we can see just how mendacious its analysis is.

ADL probably thinks all Trump supporters are “white supremacists.” Thus, a neighborhood or community loaded with “white supremacists” will be far safer per capita than any predominantly black community in the US.

    I went through six phases.

Childhood: commies are bad, some guy on TV is shouting about them.

Some college education: McCarthy propagated evil falsehoods against good people. Cuba is cool.

Early adult learning: OMG, the Soviets deeply infiltrated and sabotaged our government and society, McCarthy was right. The current wisdom is a lie.

Venona transcripts: Overwhelming evidence of subversion. But Victor Navasky at The Nation boldly replies that it is "misinformation"! The alleged espionage, he wrote, was merely "exchanges of information among people of good will." Wow, the subversion continues.

Later study: Soviets and CPUSA culpable, but McCarthy recklessly overdid it, sabotaged himself and anticommunism (see Harvey Klehr). It's so great that we brought down the evil empire! Pete Seeger is still a commie creep.

Now: OMG, graduates of the Weather Underground are running the teachers' unions, the prestige universities, the Democratic Party, the Fortune 500, and the FBI and CIA. Totalitarian bioleninism looms!

    Replies: @Art Deco, @Anonymous

There was already and infrastructure in Congress and the executive branch to suss out these characters. McCarthy added nothing. What the Venona project did was to discredit the sort of historiography which maintains that the internal security campaigns were a ‘witch hunt’ and discredit the defenses of certain marquee figures like Alger Hiss and the Rosenbergs. It has infuriated characters like Victor Navasky that the more you know about Hiss and the Rosenbergs, the worse the case he and his minions have been trying to make looks. So, now you have characters like Ellen Schrecker defending commies on normative grounds. Schrecker isn’t some eccentric working on the margins. She did a term as president of the Organization of American Historians. Much of the professoriate deserves to be arrested, stripped of their citizenship, handed nansen passports, and deported to some randomly selected place abroad.

Your best guess is that it was someone who worked at the factory, though it's not physically impossible for it to have been someone else. (The lock on a basement egress was discovered to be broken). The statement of the office messenger signed in 1982 fingered the janitor. The Governor also suspected the janitor for a couple of reasons, among them that the note found with the body had some odd idioms in it he thought a professional class migrant from up north would not have known or used. (The janitor was discovered to be literate). Some incriminating material was found at the home of the nightwatchman, but I think it was later concluded to have some other explanation. They fixated on the factory manager because he was anxious when they called on him at home. Per the nightwatchman, he'd also telephoned the factory the previous evening, something that was not routine. They'd had the nightwatchman in their gunsights at one point. They also looked into an acquaintance of the deceased who had ridden the tram with her to the factory. The problem was they did not have satisfactory evidence against any one person, but had a discrete pool of suspects and were operating under the imperative to collar someone.

President Truman comes off in a really bad light in this book. He was anti-Communist as far as foreign policy, so I don't know why he purposely let this all go on for years. I believe it was just to keep a big controversy from coming to light - he was a typical politician, I suppose. #SAD

Agreed, Alden, that they weren't just in the State Department, but that was where Joe McCarthy concentrated most. He'd also gotten the "Lee list" from (not the same) Robert E. Lee, who was a former FBI agent then on the House Appropriations Committee - he had investigated State Dept. Communists before Dean Acheson took control and relaxed all standards.

McCarthy used the Lee list, but he had sources that gave him additional, very-current, info. to back up the Lee list (more than just a list, with lots of background info on these 120-odd people) along with bringing up a number of people not on it.

Speaking of the FBI, author Evans put Edgar Hoover in a good light. His agency, being subordinate to the Dept. of Justice, couldn't just proclaim what they knew, but they worked with McCarthy to give him info. the best they could. The DOJ resisted, procrastinated, and stone-walled, as directed by the President.

Leo Frank raped and murdered Mary Phagan. And he was a disgusting perv lecher who mauled grabbed and pawed every girl and woman he could.

Most Jewish men use prostitutes on the 15 days of the month they can’t touch their wives because their wives are filthy and unclean.

But Frank tried to use the very young girls in his factory. As many testified at the trial. I believe the number of witnesses who had been physically pawed and grabbed was 17.

(It’s similar to the Soham murders in Britain 20 years ago: Dumb guy drinks too much, gets alone with a pair of young girls and gropes one of them, they start screaming and freaking out, he kills them to shut them up. I seldom watch TV and missed the 1988 NBC movie about the rape and murder of Mary Phagan. I doubt I would have watched it had I known about it. Just as I don’t watch movies lauding the Scottsboro rapists that exonerate them.

Knowing how lying liberals and Jews twist things; they probably put that scene in the movie to give the impression he didn’t spy on the girls in the bathroom. I’ve known the true facts of the case since college. I do not believe he rapped on the door of the girls bathroom because they were taking too long. I believe that scene was written in case any viewer knew about the 17 girls and women testified at the trial about his lechery. In most workplaces another woman is sent into the bathroom to chase malingerers out.

At least the movie title was the murder of Mary Phagan. . Mostly it’s known as the Leo Frank case. Bride at every wedding, corpse at every funeral, victim at Mary’s rape and murder.

I remember another CPUSA defense of rapists. Oops, I sometimes confuse CPUSA with jews. How biased and anti Semitic of me.

The famous Scottsboro rapists case 6 black thugs raped 2 White girls , were arrested and tried. Comintern never gave CPUSA any money. So CPUSA has to support itself.

One very successful method both financially and for propaganda was to find an ordinary crime and turn it into a famous cause. Sacco Vanzetti was one. An ordinary robbery turned into a CPUSA and liberal fund raising cause. CPUSA would find a criminal case and form a Legal Defense Fund. Useful idiot liberals would donate to the cause. CPUSA would keep most of the money and pay defense lawyers with some.

Another of CPUSA’s fund raising causes was the Scottsboro rapists. 6 blacks who gang raped 2 White girls. CPUSA former a Legal Defense Fund. Very successful as every ignorant liberal brainwashed moron believes the Scottsboro rapists were innocent. They were guilty and convicted.

Anyway, CPUSA sent 12 well spoken lady like mothers of the Scottsboro rapists around the country to raise money to pay for the defense. But, there were only 9 accused rapists and 8 mothers making speeches to raise money from the useful idiots Occasionally someone noticed there were more mothers than rapists but nothing was done. Although it is fraud to raise money by using false names and pretending to be the mother of a defendant who needs money to pay defense attorneys.

The mother of black revolutionary and CPUSA member Angela Davis was very active in the Scottsboro rapists Legal Defense Fund. Thank God and all his Saints and Angels Angela Davis never had children. She’s have a middle aged child prominent in anti White activism, and probably grandchildren old enough to be BLM anti fa, maybe a city council critter in Santa Cruz Ca. Or executive director of some BLM front cause.

My sister, an ardent Marxist and even more ardent negro, gay, environmental etc activist heard Angela Davis speak several times. Even my sister, a slobbering negro lover thinks Davis is an incoherent idiot. Who gets her Marxism completely wrong.. And needs a how to make a speech class or coach.,

McCarthy was not accurate or thorough, which is why he found himself censured by the Senate.

    Replies: @Prester John, @Achmed E. Newman, @Alden

I'm anti-McCarthy because his whole career was suffused with opportunism, mendacity, and alcoholism. He added nothing of value to civic life, and that's what got him censured. There were already efforts within the executive branch and the CIO to address the problem he purported to address, put in place when he was still carrying water for PepsiCola. It's amusing you fancy Gen. Eisenhower was a Jew or a communist.

Regarding the Leo Frank affair, I understand it's customary for Jews to consume alcohol on Saturday mornings?

If so, then Frank wouldn't be the first or last guy to make a drunken pass at a young girl, then kill her in a panic to shut her up.

(It's similar to the Soham murders in Britain 20 years ago: Dumb guy drinks too much, gets alone with a pair of young girls and gropes one of them, they start screaming and freaking out, he kills them to shut them up. And like Frank, he tried to frame someone else -- dumping the bodies outside a USAF airbase.)

    Replies: @Alden

Frank raped her. According to the coroner’s report. His semen and pubic hair were found. Or at least the semen of the man who raped her. And both head and pubic hair of a White, not a black man.

No need whatsoever for a dressing room.

Did you work there? Do you know why the women made use of the room? Are you aware of what sort of garments they wore on the job or off?

    Replies: @David In TN, @Alden

They didn’t wear protective garments, not even work boots or gloves. It was a pencil factory. No need for any kind of uniform or protective or sanitary smocks like bakery or canning factory workers. There was no dressing room no need to change.

They didn't have a "dressing room." A workplace has men and women's rest rooms. Frank likely knocked on the door if the girls were staying too long in the rest room. A scene in the 1988 NBC TV movie has him doing this.

    Replies: @Alden, @Alden, @Art Deco

The movie-miniseries can be found on Youtube. The DVD is available but has some 19 minutes edited out.

The NBC miniseries is very sympathetic to Mary Phagan and her family. I come from the same stock. In 1913 my relatives were the same kind of people as Mary Phagan.

The movie has Jim Conley, the black janitor, as the villain who testifies Frank was guilty. The film does portray Leo Frank as somewhat creepy.

Jews, blacks and communists. Story of my life.

Back to the point. According to his employees, Frank did a lot more than rap on a bathroom door.

There was some testimony Frank sometimes watched over the girls himself.

I think American Jews at the beginning of the 20th century had a case of ‘Dreyfus envy’. They badly wanted a martyr of their own like Dreyfus. The problem is that Americans, then as now, just aren’t very anti-Semitic, so few such martyrs could be found. So they had to settle for Leo Frank, a deeply flawed individual.

The ADL believes that Frank was killed to death because he was a Jew, however I don’t think this is true. I suspect that a white gentile in the same circumstances would have been dealt with the same way. Unlike with Dreyfus, Frank’s Jewishness was incidental to his misfortunes.

the Venona project revelations clearly show that he was definitely on to something

How real are the alleged Venona revelations? To what extent have independent analysts been able to check the entire chain of custody of individual messages: interception, internal transmission, decryption, translation? Cross-checked details against contemporary Soviet records?

Have modern computer techniques enabled previously uncrackable messages to be decrypted? Are there documented instances of mistranslation as one would expect in real life? Contemporaneous internal discussion of specific messages?
