From the New York Times:
It’s Not Just Poor White People Driving a Decline in Life Expectancy
A new study shows that death rates increased for middle-aged people of all racial and ethnic groups.
By Gina Kolata and Sabrina Tavernise
Nov. 26, 2019As the life expectancy of Americans has declined over a period of three years — a drop driven by higher death rates among people in the prime of life — the focus has been on the plight of white Americans in rural areas who were dying from so-called deaths of despair: drug overdoses, alcoholism and suicide.
But a new analysis of more than a half-century of federal mortality data, published on Tuesday in JAMA, found that the increased death rates among people in midlife extended to all racial and ethnic groups, and to suburbs and cities. And while suicides, drug overdoses and alcoholism were the main causes, other medical conditions, including heart disease, strokes and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, also contributed, the authors reported.
Fortunately, @UnsilencedSci tweeted out the most important graph from this paywalled study:
Could the similarity of overdose death rates between whites and Native Americans make methamphetamine an inadequate explanation for much higher NA mortality rates? Perhaps deaths related to meth are not always classified as such. pic.twitter.com/cne2Vsb7Io
— Unsilenced Science (@UnsilencedSci) November 30, 2019
The worsening death rate among age 25-64 year old American Indians in this century is horrible — up about 30% from eyeballing the graph — and nobody seems to be talking about it. Unsilenced Science has also been tweeting about the collapse in Native American SAT/ACT scores:
I converted all SAT averages to the current scale, going back to 1941.

Meth appears to be the single biggest problem of American Indians in this century, with Mexican cartels targeting reservations as places, due to their complicated legal status, where they can operate with impunity.
But there may be more going on — Indians have dropped off the radar of the mainstream media, with the other kind of Indians now taking up more space in the brain. For instance, this NYT article doesn’t mention Native Americans.
After falling dramatically from the ending of the crack and AIDS epidemics, the black mortality rate turned upwards in 2015, likely due to the Ferguson Effect of blacks celebrating the triumphs of Black Lives Matter by shooting each other more. Lately, blacks seem to be dying of opioids like fentanyl. (The Mexican cartels avoided retailing heroin in cities with lots of black gangs due a feeling that shootings were bad for business, the initially concentrating on quiet flyover places like southern Ohio. By the way, Mexican cartels differ strikingly in how they behave in Mexico versus the US.)
Hispanic and Asian mortality also turned up, but by 2017 looked likely to renew their long term downward trends.
White mortality has been growing since the Great Recession petered out, although it is likely bifurcating by class. My vague impression is that working class whites are following the tragic trajectory of American Indians.

There’s one you can just calculate, Steve. It looks like an increase of 15 per 100,000 from ’15 to ’17, which is 0.015%. For 40,000,o00 black people, that’s about 6,000 people extra dead. You’ve given numbers for the Ferguson effect for some of the big cities. It probably carried over to most inner cities. Does that sound in the ballpark, 6,000 per year?
(Yes, of course there could. be competing effects.)
Come to think of it, 5 seconds after I mashed “Publish”, I noted U.S.’s 2nd graph in his tweets. That age-adjusted mortality rate due to unintentional drug OD could account for the whole small change – looks like right at 14. At the same time, extreme obesity, with the diseases due to it, does not look to be getting any better.

Actually, since plenty of data (Rising morbidity and mortality in midlife among white non-Hispanic Americans in the 21st century) shows that Whites — presumably mostly “working class whites” — are disproportionately dying younger, eg as a result of opioid abuse (and other socioeconomic factors), there is nothing really all that “vague” about the similar ‘trajectories’.

I went to rehab where my fellow clients were overwhelmingly prole whites. One other person had a college degree and there were two black women, one ghetto and one not.
A common answer as to who did drugs at their places of work (forklift driver at the port, construction foreman, casino worker) was “everyone.” They weren’t being hyperbolic. One guy was from a real out of the way trailer park town. “Everyone” was also his answer as to who did drugs in his hometown.
And I’m talking about meth or opiates, not just weed of course. It was a big issue for the counselor telling us to avoid triggering “people, places, and things” because it wasn’t like they had one friend who was a bad influence, it was the open and ubiquitous culture at the jobs they needed, eg. To say nothing of their friends and family members.
From my experience in the rooms xanax is a much bigger problem than I realized. It is super dangerous but way easier to get than painkillers these days (on that note, a high school kid was in for heroin and said it was super common; when I was in high school, heroin would have been seen as sketchy even by the kids who did pills, but the pills seemed to have been shut down to an extent so heroin is cheaper and more readily available).
We can blame other factors but clearly the rot is starting from our own households and our own communities. The drug crisis baffles me; I have never had an interest in being "fucked up"; and the one time I was on mild opioids for pain I felt no high and had no interest in taking them again.
Just baffles my mind, man. Drive the forklift, shoot the shit with collegues, then go home, fuck your wife, go on UNZ, go hiking, go to the bar and have a few drinks... whatever you do. Honestly life is not that bad without drugs. Something really severe is happening with whites and I'm at a loss.Replies: @Anonymous, @Donald A Thomson
The Beatles had never encountered cannabis before they were introduced to it by Bob Dylan in 1964, though they had reputedly used amphetamines to keep up their energy when performing in Hamburg before they were famous. So it is fair to assume that no one else had in England, at that time, and probably not many in the US outside of jazz musicians and avante garde artists. (Louis Armstrong was a notorious long term pot smoker.)
At that time abortion was illegal, homosexuality was illegal, it was illegal to try to commit suicide, there were shotgun weddings when a girl was pregnant and "had to get married" to preserve respectability, divorce was rare, the birth control pill was only recently available (December 4th, 1961 in the UK) and TV was only in black and white.
With a relatively short period of time cannabis/hashish usage rocketed, and along came other recreational drugs such as LSD, cocaine, heroin, and ecstasy and all the social factors mentioned above were legislated out of existence or changed. Single mothers were now able to obtain government housing and benefits originally intended for World War II widows. In periods of unemployment cash benefits could be supplemented with drug dealing and use.
The whole notion of "respectability" was out the window, and it has remained the same on both sides of the Atlantic, except perhaps within the evangelical christian community which has fought a rearguard action largely centered on the issue of abortion.
Perhaps it has always been that way, but we just didn't realize it in the post World War II years due to lack of pervasive mass media. Certainly in London of the eighteenth century gin was the oxycontin of the day, killing huge numbers of people and deforming babies, and was drunk by large numbers of children, and was the subject of legislation by Parliament on no less than five occasions.
The problems of alcohol abuse seem to have led to the rise of Methodism and the religious revivals of the 1840's which changed the mores of many mining communities, but by 1960 the fires of Methodism seemed to have burned out, and it is not a factor today. In the US Prohibition was tried in the early 20th century, but turned out to be unworkable and caused a huge loss in potential tax revenue. On repeal, alcohol laws were devolved to the states.

One time as part of a drug test I had to take a breathalyzer. It was about 9 AM, and I knew the test was coming. The only way to fail that part of the test would be to come in drunk for a drug test. Apparently that happens.Replies: @Corn

One of the more interesting findings in recent years is that obesity doesn't cause diabetes. Fat on the viscera does, and although the obese are more likely to have this, it ain't necessarily so, and thin people can have it.
Look up the work of Dr. Roy Taylor of Newcastle university for details.
It’s true the societal malaise goes beyond just those old stock living in looted-America.
It also effects urban whites. They just pretend to themselves that everything is fine and fight to make sure all the bad feelings are kept at bay.

The grid? Construction, electricians, who do they think keeps the things that make their lives comfortable running? Cops? The military? Kill off all the White folks, enfeeble the White boys, there will be no one.
Does any of that figure in their morbid feel-good calculations?
while suicides, drug overdoses and alcoholism were the main causes
That makes no sense. To explain a change in death rates you’d need to look at changes in suicides, drugs and booze – it’s no use simply listing them as a problem. Another possibility is that that’s what the writers meant and they are just poor writers.
Anyway, in Britain there have been signs that the rate of increase in life expectancy has been falling, so perhaps all-American explanations aren’t the thing to look for. In how many other advanced countries are there signs of the problem?

Native reservations are really one of the weirder aspects of american local government (and I always state that anglo governance is very weird)
A major reform would do the trick, but it would be a gargantuan step on muh holy sacred states rights (despite 100% of them being completely dysfunctional if they were to gain any extra rights or god forbid independence). A more Russian-style federalism with more autonomy might do the trick for the USA.
But irrelevant, it all demonstrates a much bigger issue: this means the total and utter cultural collapse, civilization death. At this point America either dies of gets Sulla’d into a new but more totalitarian version
One or more of those pieces will be effectively white only, and one or more will be effectively a Jewish state unless the real bible people are right and all Jews go to the current garrison state on the Jordan. If I were younger I’d get involved with a now perfectly legal effort such as the Conch Republic in the Keys to build a shadow government under the guise of a humorous social or fraternal order. Call it the Chowder Society, a lawn tractor collector’s club, or a motorcycle club. Doesn’t matter.
I seem to remember that one outfit established their club into, I don’t remember, maybe thirteen regions of their country. When things changed, those regions already had the infrastructure and layout and the little beer quaffing goose stepping club became the governing Party with the chapter presidents effectively the new state governors.
The key is that the club is one hundred percent legal, and in fact has one clearly humorous, even nutty but harmless aspect which would make the State look foppish for busting them.....until they ARE the law and pretense can be dropped.
This kind of organizing should be considered equally important as learning to use a shovel and a rifle.
Like Mike Tyson, there is only one thing that can bring down the biggest and most evil empire the earth has ever seen with its gigatonnage of nukes and it’s even bigger printing press. That’s it’s own weight and decay and decrepitude. Who is ready to fill the vacuum when it implodes wins.
Meth is the biggest problem on the res but only because it is more destructive socially than any other drug. Alcoholism is more common but nothing beats meth for sheer corrosive destruction.
The real problem of the current res is not the poverty but that people have enough money to buy new vehicles, get supremely drunk or high, and crash into others. They have enough wherewithal to purchase the cheaper drugs that y are available now, a culture that supports criminogenic and addictive thinking and behavior. Their response is blunted by reflexive anti-white animus.
Unless it’s money, they want nothing that mainstream culture offers unless it’s anti-white, and destructive. There are a few bits and pieces of the various cultures that are preserved enough to use and functional in our modern society but not enough. It’s a jigsaw puzzle with a minimum of 90% of the pieces missing.
And the money is corrosive, a bittersweet pill that is full of barbs. Sure, they desire the money but it is like the freedom that was offered to former colonies. Most of those colonies would never have been able to earn their own freedom. They know it so they invent a mythology where they did have that power. The Indians know they could never take the resources from the feds regardless of what the treaties say.
But for their own self esteem they need a different mythology where the money is somehow earned or due which makes the money even more of a barbed pill. Doesn’t help that the res is uniquely corrupt, poorly managed, and an anti social place in general. The miracle is that most of the people still have good hearts despite all that. I’ve moved back after some years away and while I saw the oppression as a kid I now also see the corrosion, and not just because there’s more of it.
Having worked on two reservations it really is a matter of you having to be there to know exactly what the hell it’s like. There’s a lot of people who watched Longmire and Wind River and think that gives an accurate portrait, but it doesn’t touch the surface.
The entire obesity epidemic mentioned is another huge driver that is also getting nailed by idpol science in that you have HAES (health at every size) advocates being taken seriously when they say being 400lbs can be healthy for the general public. It’s barely healthy for powerlifters who squat a ton, yet you have people claiming a 5′ woman can weigh 400 lbs and as long as she’s “active” its okay.
Again, the government is complicit in the obesity epidemic as it was the opioid epidemic. Eat a loaf of bread a day. Red meat and eggs will kill you. All cholesterol is bad. Whole milk is bad.
Oh wait Weimericans eat too many carbs. Oh wait the science around fats and red meat was fabricated out of whole cloth by a “scientist” with an agenda. Oh wait we forgot as biologists that every cell wall has a cholesterol layer that it needs to replenish so maybe cholesterol isn’t that bad.
Be weak. Eat bugs. Live in the pod. Is it a wonder that people reject modern society?

Tiffany, will she be the next Jussie Smolet? Her story is pure bull.
Native Americans: my limited understanding is that they’ve substituted meth for alcohol as part of this die-off.
With great fanfare, the alcohol stores next to the Pine Ridge Indian reservation were closed in 2017. I haven’t heard much about the effects, but a few searches point to bootleggers and meth filling the void.
That’s too bad. Historically, Gina Kolata was one of the more level-headed reporters at the New York Times.

I’m currently reading a pretty interesting book, A Savage Order, by Rachel Kleinfeld, about why some countries like Brazil and Mexico without strictly defined “wars” are extremely violent. She argues that it isn’t just purely Hobbesian lack of state capacity, but rather/additionally that some governments find it useful to work with and tolerate criminal enterprises. (E.g., in Mexico the DFS intelligence agency was closely tied to drug cartels.)
“Mexican cartels differ strikingly in how they behave in Mexico versus the US”
One Mexican cartel in particular behaved pretty badly in both Mexico and US in Rambo: Last Blood.
The bigger picture is that narcotic abuse has weaved itself into the very warp and weft of everyday workaday American life into becoming ‘the norm’, more or less in the way that the abuse of whiskey has been a fact of everyday life in Ireland for centuries.
Not quite Hogarth’s Gin Lane, but getting there.
Maybe the reservations have discovered old Lou Reed songs?
Has anyone studied the apparent explosion in Autoimmune Disease over the past 50 years contributing to the White Death? I’m sure long-term use of antibiotics and other hygiene hypothesis issues have contributed. Autoimmune diseases are also a cause of initial pain med use and gateway to opioid, heroin and alcohol abuse.
White People have lived in cleaner Western societies and abuses antibiotics for a century now and may have a higher genetic load for autoimmune issues anyway. They’ve also had exposure to Western medicine for a longer period in general.
Worth contemplating.
Unfortunately for Native Americans, they’ve been defeated by Mexicans in the intersectionality knockout phase due to a confluence of factors including Trump, Democrats taking money from the cartels, Carlos Slim and the fact that there’s no Oglala Sioux restaurant at the mall selling you turbocharged margaritas. And now to add insult to injury we have AWFLs running for President stealing Indian culture.
Also kudos to Sailer for reading “Dreamland” which really is the go-to manual on cartel strategies and tactics.

When someone dies in middle age because of drug addictions, that’s their own fault. It was their choice to take these things, and they’ve decided they’d rather be an addict than someone who lives a normal life. That’s their personal choice.
How do these people tend to vote? Democrat. Even if they’re conservative on every other issue, they keep voting Democratic because they want to legalize drugs, and they want softer drug-use laws so they won’t end up in jail. This means they keep putting the Corrupt Party in office. The Corrupt Party of course, produces malignant idiots like Schiff, Nadler, Pelosi, and AOC, who are trying to keep the Democrats in charge forever by relentless immigration, and who constantly attack all the achievements of white culture. They think it’s awful that blacks are prosecuted for crimes, and they do their utmost to keep them out of prison.
Drug users are ENABLING our immigration crisis, and they are ENABLING the Democrats. The Democrats in turn, enable black crime and attacks on white values. Do you people get the connection here?
These people are a waste of space. Let them die. Get them out of our country. We would be much better off without them. If anything, we’d be better off if we flooded this country with fentanyl. If we had 10 million fentanyl deaths in 1 year, we’d rescue conservatism and white civilization.

We can blame other factors but clearly the rot is starting from our own households and our own communities. The drug crisis baffles me; I have never had an interest in being “fucked up”; and the one time I was on mild opioids for pain I felt no high and had no interest in taking them again.
Just baffles my mind, man. Drive the forklift, shoot the shit with collegues, then go home, fuck your wife, go on UNZ, go hiking, go to the bar and have a few drinks… whatever you do. Honestly life is not that bad without drugs. Something really severe is happening with whites and I’m at a loss.

No we aren’t all that worried because we White people invented modern science, technology and medicine and therefore we can understand the physics and biology involved, measure the radiation, and know that the levels in US air and water are too trivial to be a health threat.
Don’t worry though, you can continue to enjoy the benefits of our advancements without having to understand how they work. After all, what the hell, even millions of Whites don’t understand it.

Obesity per se doesn’t kill you. It’s a co-factor of many other health problems, it’s bad for you, your joints, your respiratory system (hard to get out and move a bulky body), but in and of itself it doesn’t kill you.
One of the more interesting findings in recent years is that obesity doesn’t cause diabetes. Fat on the viscera does, and although the obese are more likely to have this, it ain’t necessarily so, and thin people can have it.
Look up the work of Dr. Roy Taylor of Newcastle university for details.

The current continental US will break up into several polities. It is not if, it’s when and how, who gets the nukes, and who controls which pieces.
The key is that the club is one hundred percent legal, and in fact has one clearly humorous, even nutty but harmless aspect which would make the State look foppish for busting them…..until they ARE the law and pretense can be dropped.

Yes, there seems to be a real breakdown of any social pressure towards “repectability” within the working classes since the introduction of cannabis on a wide scale.
At that time abortion was illegal, homosexuality was illegal, it was illegal to try to commit suicide, there were shotgun weddings when a girl was pregnant and “had to get married” to preserve respectability, divorce was rare, the birth control pill was only recently available (December 4th, 1961 in the UK) and TV was only in black and white.
The whole notion of “respectability” was out the window, and it has remained the same on both sides of the Atlantic, except perhaps within the evangelical christian community which has fought a rearguard action largely centered on the issue of abortion.
Perhaps it has always been that way, but we just didn’t realize it in the post World War II years due to lack of pervasive mass media. Certainly in London of the eighteenth century gin was the oxycontin of the day, killing huge numbers of people and deforming babies, and was drunk by large numbers of children, and was the subject of legislation by Parliament on no less than five occasions.
The problems of alcohol abuse seem to have led to the rise of Methodism and the religious revivals of the 1840’s which changed the mores of many mining communities, but by 1960 the fires of Methodism seemed to have burned out, and it is not a factor today. In the US Prohibition was tried in the early 20th century, but turned out to be unworkable and caused a huge loss in potential tax revenue. On repeal, alcohol laws were devolved to the states.

Thing is, British social media in the aftermath is full of “influencers” arguing that this proves that open borders is a good idea. Sure, you get your Muslim terrorists, who were known to be terrorists, and had actually been safely locked up until a judge of a certain religio-ethnic background insisted on freeing them early, but for every terrorist you also get a Polack with whale parts. In other words, this is actually stupider than sending needle snakes after tree frogs.
Also floating around the aether: skeptics who think this was staged to influence the upcoming election. I do think the assassination during Brexit was contrived, that the British Deep State actually had a low-level government officeholder murdered to scare a result they still failed to get, because the whole story is unbelievable gibberish (the best part being a known criminal getting his hands on a gun in London and walking around with it on an election day). But then again maybe London is just a preposterously unsafe city with no meaningful police force. I find Muslim terrorists in the current milieu to be much easier to believe than random well-equipped criminals but I could be biased. I don’t see how any of this necessarily helps Boris (whereas the other story, like the less serious of the school shootings and hate hoaxes, just happens to perfectly fit the straw men of bitter white males) but it is egregious that this guy was locked up and some do-gooder — excuse me, some do-gudnik judge — insists on letting him out.
Next step: licensing and then banning for whale parts, and letting in more “refugees.”
This makes me sad.
Oh, Cartels will start to take over in the US. Its a fantasy to assume that the violence in places like Michoacan and other Mexican Provinces will stay there when half their inhabitants are in the US.
What is to stop a Cartel from taking over Downtown LA, shooting police officers and their families, and using military vehicles to stage breakouts of prisoners in jail, etc?
Indeed what is to stop a Cartel (they already fight over AVOCADOS in Mexico, not just drugs) from deciding everyone in California owes them money and start to collect on that? Its not as if they lack manpower, money, and lots of weapons.
At a certain point, the Visigoths figured they were going to run the Empire. Not Romans. Same here — at a certain point the Cartels will be running most of the US. Really there is no will, no manpower, no legal way a judge would even allow crushing them.
Recall the Supreme Court held that foreign combatants in foreign wars have US Constitutional rights to counsel, legal proceedings, etc. If Cartels take over we can’t just crush them. Judges have to oversee everything.
When will this be expanded to include all SNAP (LINK card aka “food stamps”) users?

Actually, since plenty of data (Rising morbidity and mortality in midlife among white non-Hispanic Americans in the 21st century) shows that Whites -- presumably mostly "working class whites" -- are disproportionately dying younger, eg as a result of opioid abuse (and other socioeconomic factors), there is nothing really all that "vague" about the similar 'trajectories'.

From the Charlottesville imbroglio I learned that “nazi type garb” was a white polo shirt and khakis.
Thing is, British social media in the aftermath is full of "influencers" arguing that this proves that open borders is a good idea.
I don't see how any of this necessarily helps Boris (whereas the other story, like the less serious of the school shootings and hate hoaxes, just happens to perfectly fit the straw men of bitter white males) but it is egregious that this guy was locked up and some do-gooder -- excuse me, some do-gudnik judge -- insists on letting him out.
Next step: licensing and then banning for whale parts, and letting in more "refugees."Replies: @Kylie
Yes but one of the Islamic stabber’s victims, David Merritt, was one of those do-gooder types. Big loss.
From the linked Daily Mail article:
“Mr Merritt’s father David said in a tweet that his son ‘would not wish his death to be used as the pretext for more draconian sentences or for detaining people unnecessarily’.
‘R.I.P. Jack: you were a beautiful spirit who always took the side of the underdog.’
He also said his son had been a ‘champion’ for those who had been ‘dealt a losing hand by life, who ended up in the prison system’.”

“They”? Sequoyah (ᏍᏏᏉᏯ) was illiterate, but impressed by the white man’s writing. He was flying by the seat of his deerskins, so to speak. His script is a syllabary, not an alphabet, similar to hiragana and katakana in Japanese.
He borrowed Roman letters without regard for their phonemes in English. So there will be a number of “false friends”.

I don't have anything against Cherokees in specific, nor against Indians, feather or dot, of course most feather-Indians are not all that Indian any more. The ones on the rez tend to have issues but that doesn't mean I wish them badly, the more successful ones tend to leave of course.
Really, the Cherokees and the other of the "civilized tribes" were remarkably successful in adapting to the white man's ways, perhaps too successful, which is why they were sent to Oklahoma. Xanax almost killed my daughter. While she was addicted to heroin, a psychiatrist prescribed her Xanax. Being an addict, she did not take the medication responsibly, but took it “as needed” and ran out before her prescription could be refilled. Suddenly going cold turkey from the Xanax caused her to have a seizure that put her in the hospital. This is a not uncommon result of stopping a benzo suddenly. The doctors were appalled that a psychiatrist would prescribe Xanax to a heroin addict.
Anyway, in case anyone is interested, my daughter went through rehab, it worked, and she has been clean for four years now. A great relief after a long nightmare.
And a lot of people, of course, mix benzos and alcohol which can have catastrophic consequences. Xanax is available, addictive, and potentially lethal for the person who was asking above.
Opiate withdrawal is incredibly awful but won't kill you. But it is so awful I'd advise anyone to take your loved one to rehab rather than demanding they quit cold turkey on their own. It's too awful for most to bear knowing they have a cure with a snap of their fingers.
I'll pray for your daughter. It is not an easy or fun journey.

How do these people tend to vote? Democrat. Even if they're conservative on every other issue, they keep voting Democratic because they want to legalize drugs, and they want softer drug-use laws so they won't end up in jail. They think it's awful that blacks are prosecuted for crimes, and they do their utmost to keep them out of prison.
Drug users are ENABLING our immigration crisis, and they are ENABLING the Democrats. The Democrats in turn, enable black crime and attacks on white values. Do you people get the connection here?
These people are a waste of space. Let them die. Get them out of our country. We would be much better off without them. If anything, we'd be better off if we flooded this country with fentanyl. I am a distant relative of Sequoia, BTW. I am descended from his cousin.
His father, Colonel Nathanial Guest, was white. Sequoia was a silversmith, and wanted to sign his name “George Guest”. He was told Indians couldn’t read or write. So he invented his own written language.
Not knowing about alphabets, he invented a syllaberry. It took a few days for any Cherokee speaker to pick up the written language. The Cherokee had almost universal literacy before the Trail of Tears.
Meanwhile, the sons of some Cherokee chiefs were attending school in New Haven; some married the daughters of their teachers. By the time of removal, the Cherokee were a literate people led by well educated men.
At the time of statehood in Oklahoma, most college graduates were mixed race Cherokee. Most of the remaining graduates were mixed bloods from the other Five Civilized Tribes: Creek, Choctaw, Chickasaw and Seminole. More Indians graduated from college in OK that year than the total graduates in Texas.
My brother graduated from Harvard. Not long after his graduation, someone published in the Harvard alumni magazine that the single most over represented ethnic group amongst Harvard graduates was Cherokees. I don’t know if any Asian American group has surpassed them.
Realize the college educated Cherokee were usually the descendants of the more prominent Indians and wealthier whites. My white ancestors who had intermarried with Indians had been plantation owners before the War, and the Indians they married were sons and especially daughters of chiefs.
Gina Kolata is a really good, hard-headed science writer. She’s also a genuine red diaper baby. Her parents were Ruth and Arthur Bari, American communists who were once friends of the Rosenbergs and were married in Morton Sobell’s apartment. the saddest part is that heroin is most dangerous when an addict *has* quit. a lot of people won't believe it ("I guess he was lying about getting clean") but what they don't understand is that recovered addicts are at the most risk because they don't know their tolerance.

But those options won’t work for everyone, because the Economy and its scale and how it is structured.
“being productive” for its own sake is grug level. Are you a boomer?
