  1. Well of course, the oceans are one place where Whites are still Great.

    Atlantis.
  4. CCZ says:

No “OK” signs in the Colorado STEM school shooting.

“One of the suspects in Tuesday’s shooting that killed one person and injured eight others at a Colorado school has been identified not by name but as a juvenile in “the midst of transitioning from female to male,” according to sources of a Denver television station. [In other words: a transgender.]

The other suspect was identified by the Douglas County sheriff’s office as Devon Erickson, 18.

“Sources said the motive of the alleged shooters went beyond bullying and involved revenge and anger toward others at the school and that at least one of the suspects was involved in legal and illegal drug use and had been in therapy,” Denver’s KMGH-TV reported.”

The Twitter news aggregator Twitchy noted that, according to news reports, Erickson was angry about anti-gay comments made by Christians.

The Washington Times reported Erickson, citing Heavy.com, said on social media he hated Christians for their teaching on homosexuality. And he apparently was not a fan of President Trump.

Back in tbe Eighties, gay kids (and kids who were not gay) were bullied in the harshest way possible with little intervention from teachers. The Eighties Era was the Wild West of bullying, but there were zero school shootings.

Public secondary school life was a wretched experience for many Eighties kids, with no redeeming academic enrichment to justify the miserable time wasted, resulting in a national backlash movement of homeschooling parents.

Even without the gun violence, it was that bad.

What was the element that deterred the mass shooters in past Bully Eras? Are today’s moms birthing more kids with a genetic predisposition to violent outbursts? Are daycare-raised kids more likely to become school shooters? Has the social and academic atmosphere in the mom-dominated primary & secondary public school industry of second-income seekers gotten even worse in quality?

According to this survey, whites and blacks are represented right around population proportion with Hispanics underrepresented and Asians overrepresented.

65 percent Caucasian, 14 percent African American, 9 percent Asian/Pacific Islander, 9 percent Hispanic, 3 percent “other”

At they end they call out an important limitation.

While the 16-page report provides a good source of demographic data for scuba diving participation in the U.S., it is missing an estimate of diving exposure. Besides simply distinguishing between casual and core participants based on two ranges of dive totals per year, the report could have provided the actual total number of dives made per diver, which would be a useful denominator for various purposes such as injury statistics.

It’s basically a “making of” or “DVD extras” for pieces that he is writing or considering, more detail and inside baseball stuff that doesn’t make it into articles, spiked articles that are too geeky, interviews with sources, extra-controversial stuff that is best left behind a paywall, etc.

That motherfucker is just ooozing Great White Privilege.

Sharks are amazing. They are almost perfect for their niche.

They finished very near the top of the class in Cretaceous Evolution 101 about 75 million years ago; they hit their final form while dinosaurs were still around, and haven't adapted too much since - slightly bigger brain/body ratio, slightly better teeth.

I guess crocodiles have them beat - although they were really in finished form in the Jurassic, and they've had very little evolutionary pressure for the last 200 million years.

We've come a long way in ~250K years - but we've fragilised quite a lot in the last 100 years, and in the next 100 years we'll virtualise (or at the very least, change substrate to something vastly more robust and efficient).

When humans "slip the curly bonds of Earth and dance through space on laughter-cilver'd wings", this little ball of rock will be utterly indifferent - and crocodiles and sharks will continue to feel no evolutionary pressure whatsoever: they fucking nailed it.

  10. This is some serious noticing going on.

I was in Dover, England to crew for an English Channel swimming attempt. While I was there they had Napoleonic war reenactments in the Western Heights Of Dover. Very entertaining and very White. There were other festivities going on including a low flying formation of WW II era Spitfires fighter planes, to the hardy cheers of the White folks attending the reenactment. Finally, swimming the English Channel is very White thing to do.

But it was always wanting to get even with a particular bully and defending yourself against those actually doing the violence. Now, we have more of a socialist mindset and group hatred seeping deeper into the national psyche; helped along by the "kill Whitey" brigades in our political leadership.
    , @J.Ross
    @Endgame Napoleon

What deterred mass shooters in past eras was what now deters Esperanto-speaking flying elephant-tiger hybrids. Everywhere else in the Anglosphere, a bizarre one-off mass shooting the authorities do not want to answer questions about resulted efficiently in anti-gun legislation. This was an artificial thing that was deliberately started and not an organic phenomenon.
In the 70s somebody threatened to shoot up a school (as a madman coming from outside, not a disgruntled student). Neighborhood dads picked up their shotguns and lawnchairs and sat guard at each entrance. The madman never showed up. That's pretty much what would have happened in that era at any school. Neighbors of mine say they survived the Detroit riots (at the time they lived in the city proper) because of the exact same inconceivable space-age technology: a friendly, smiling neighbor, in a lawnchair or porch seat, with a Winchester across his knees.
In the fifties marksmanship was the big intramural sport. Kids had rifles in school and were getting proper training in using them, and there wasn't one shooting.
This probably starts with the Austin university tower (look into the autopsy) and proceeds through that girl who shot at a school from the outside and gave the Boomtown Rats a career. Between there you pretty much just have the earlier mentioned threat.
There were workplace shootings in the 80s and Mark "Exile" Ames in Going Postal makes a case that those were a result of bullying. Two observations he makes: the survivors are wierdly consistently sympathetic toward the shooter; they describe the bullying or curse the manager. And the boss from hell is magically never in the office on the big day.

  28. Just a quick note here for all the non-scuba divers. The OK sign is taught during certification for a simple reason: The natural alternative would be a thumbs-up, but that is a no-no because it is reserved to indicate an intent (or inquiry) regarding ascending to the surface. Hence the OK sign to indicate “I’m OK”. There’s even an alternative for use on the surface, when you want to quickly indicate to others (including those on shore or in a boat) that you don’t require assistance: You hold your arm up in an arc with your hand curved over touching your head. Basically a big OK sign that is more easily visible from a distance.

In the 70s somebody threatened to shoot up a school (as a madman coming from outside, not a disgruntled student). Neighborhood dads picked up their shotguns and lawnchairs and sat guard at each entrance. The madman never showed up. That’s pretty much what would have happened in that era at any school.
Kids had rifles in school and were getting proper training in using them, and there wasn’t one shooting.
This probably starts with the Austin university tower (look into the autopsy) and proceeds through that girl who shot at a school from the outside and gave the Boomtown Rats a career. Between there you pretty much just have the earlier mentioned threat.
There were workplace shootings in the 80s and Mark “Exile” Ames in Going Postal makes a case that those were a result of bullying. Two observations he makes: the survivors are wierdly consistently sympathetic toward the shooter; they describe the bullying or curse the manager. And the boss from hell is magically never in the office on the big day.

I’ve been a semi-serious mountaineer, a very unserious scuba diver, an interested observer of scholastic rowing, and a competitive shooter.
The whitest communities of interest I’ve ever seen are at motocross tracks and general aviation airports.
I’ve noticed more subcontinentals at the GA airports the past few years.
Airshows and historical re-enactments, also very, very white.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a black at Gettysburg, and I’m there at least once a year.
My scuba instructor was black, and belongs to an exclusively black diving club.

Just a quick note here for all the non-scuba divers. The OK sign is taught during certification for a simple reason: The natural alternative would be a thumbs-up, but that is a no-no because it is reserved to indicate an intent (or inquiry) regarding ascending to the surface. Hence the OK sign to indicate "I'm OK". There's even an alternative for use on the surface, when you want to quickly indicate to others (including those on shore or in a boat) that you don't require assistance: You hold your arm up in an arc with your hand curved over touching your head. Basically a big OK sign that is more easily visible from a distance.

That motherfucker is just ooozing Great White Privilege.

Sharks are amazing. They are almost perfect for their niche.

They finished very near the top of the class in Cretaceous Evolution 101 about 75 million years ago; they hit their final form while dinosaurs were still around, and haven’t adapted too much since – slightly bigger brain/body ratio, slightly better teeth.

I guess crocodiles have them beat – although they were really in finished form in the Jurassic, and they’ve had very little evolutionary pressure for the last 200 million years.

We’ve come a long way in ~250K years – but we’ve fragilised quite a lot in the last 100 years, and in the next 100 years we’ll virtualise (or at the very least, change substrate to something vastly more robust and efficient).

When humans “slip the curly bonds of Earth and dance through space on laughter-cilver’d wings”, this little ball of rock will be utterly indifferent – and crocodiles and sharks will continue to feel no evolutionary pressure whatsoever: they fucking nailed it.

According to this survey, whites and blacks are represented right around population proportion with Hispanics underrepresented and Asians overrepresented.
    https://thedivelab.dan.org/2014/12/17/scuba-diving-participation-in-2014/

65 percent Caucasian, 14 percent African American, 9 percent Asian/Pacific Islander, 9 percent Hispanic, 3 percent “other”

At they end they call out an important limitation.

While the 16-page report provides a good source of demographic data for scuba diving participation in the U.S., it is missing an estimate of diving exposure. Besides simply distinguishing between casual and core participants based on two ranges of dive totals per year, the report could have provided the actual total number of dives made per diver, which would be a useful denominator for various purposes such as injury statistics.

    Replies: @HammerJack

Before we know it, there’ll be a sort of Title IX commission regulating length and number of dives for each racial subgroup. Just in the interest of “equity” mind you.

What a sad state of affairs it is when our most fervent hope is merely to slow or even stop this endless insanity. No one even dares to propose reversing any of it.
