If you agree with me, that perhaps boogaloo should back off, you might enjoy the funniest article not The Onion and not Babylon Bee, published by NBC News in February:

What is the 'boogaloo'? How online calls for a violent uprising are hitting the mainstream

An anti-government movement that advocates for a violent uprising targeting liberal political opponents and law enforcement has moved from the fringes of the internet into the mainstream...

The movement, which says it wants a second Civil War organized around the term "boogaloo," includes groups on mainstream internet platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Reddit, as well as fringe websites including 4chan, according to a report released Tuesday night by the Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI)...

The current boogaloo movement was first noticed by extremism researchers in 2019, when fringe groups from gun rights and militia movements to white supremacists began referring to an impending civil war using the word "boogaloo," a joking reference to "Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo," a 1984 sequel movie about breakdancing.

On Facebook and Instagram, the researchers pointed to several boogaloo-themed public groups...

In the last three months, boogaloo-related conversation has grown rapidly...

The report also notes how the boogaloo concept has been monetized...

Boogaloo extremists have used social media...

The report tracked events when online chatter about an impending boogaloo spiked...

The Right is politically ascendant in a few places in Europe. OK. Hello Poland hello Hungary.

But the Right has been crushed in the US. It’s laughable to discuss any right wing power bases in American society.

Trump headfaked to the right to get elected and governed as a centrist with plenty of liberal baggage. We have no older right wing leaders in federal office and the young firebrands in media have been cancelled. "Right wing terrorists" are anyone who believes the whites--white gentiles, cue Israel exception--are entitled to enjoy their own culture and live in their own nations.

In contrast "peaceful protesters" are people who block streets, assault anyone who disagrees with them, beat up random white people, loot shops and stores, burn buildings and generally trash both free speech and the rule of law in support of every more bullying super-state harassing ordinary productive citizens in service of powerful elites.

I'm some sort of loon who believes America in 1965 wasn't a terrible, hideous place--and the girls in my class wore skirts which was kind of nice and i had a crush on one of them who was white! and female!--which makes me a crazed heteronormative, racist, sexist, xenophobic, homophobic, fascist, nazi, right-wing terrorist ... or something.

They manage a pretty decent job of scaring the right people at the right times. What's laughable in July becomes briefly serious in early November when they can tie it to an actual crime. Like not long ago shortly before an election when pipe bombs were mailed around and there was a synagogue shooting in NYC.

What July is for, aside from riling up blacks who are hanging out on street corners anyway, is laying a foundation for later tomfoolery.

  5. The projection of Deep Staters, Banksters has reached epic level. They are getting hysterical and desperate. It is so satisfying, and so trashy since we all know American white-privileged, currently jobless, dumb college students, led by trained Antifa thugs (18 caught in Portland, 11 are public school teachers! – so funny!) are hurting police officers, maiming people, destroying private property…in Democrat-controlled American cities.

The statue pulling stuff, got boring…because they could not cajole the National Guard for a showdown. So, their next option was: let’s attack Federal courthouses and police precincts. Oh, duh, where are the white supremacist groups that want to have a rumble?!? Oh, yeah, keep spray painting and knocking down stuff.

Somehow, this is all very sexualized: the violence turns these Lefties on…it’s all just an orgy of sorts, because most of these young people were the ugly and weird kids in HS – Everything comes down to money, but in this time, everything comes down to sex and insecurity.

    To the extent it's a power it's pretty self-defeating.

That kind of power comes at a big price - cultural impoverishment.

And cultural impoverishment destablizes the very social institutions that power controls.

That's why what we're really witnessing is The Pyrrhic Victory of The Hostile Elite.

You express my feelings exactly. John Lewis got hit on the head by a police officer years ago, much as many white people have been hit in the head by black people over the years. However, Lewis got hit on the head while marching for civil rights, while the white people got hit while just minding their own business, so he's a hero and they're not.

Since then, Lewis served as a reliable and shameless Democrat Party hatchet man, for example claiming that when he walked past a Tea Party protest, the protestors spat at him and called him the n-word, which was a lie as proved by video showed of the event.

Wray's FBI is the same as Comey's FBI. The "terrorists" in America really are homegrown. They are grown in FBI conference rooms around the country.

Al Qaeda is yesterday's news so they've freshened it up and rolled out The Base. Openly founded and run by a "former" FBI guy. This is sort of like the way all the "former" intel community guys are working on TV/radio in our media sector.

  40. Europol publishes a comprehensive terrorism report every year. Their most recent report devoted almost as many pages to right-wing terrorism (15 pages) as jihadist terrorism (20 pages). Left-wing terrorism (5 pages) was hardly touched upon.

Here are the numbers of attacks (completed, failed or foiled) and arrests from 2019:

Jihadist: 21 attacks and 436 arrests
    Left-wing: 26 attacks and 111 arrests
    Right-wing: 6 attacks and 21 arrests

This is how it’s been for at least a decade now. The tsunami of right-wing terrorism is ever looming, it’s gonna strike any minute now, just look at all those mean tweets!

    To the extent it’s a power it’s pretty self-defeating.

And cultural impoverishment destablizes the very social institutions that power controls.

What is the ‘boogaloo’? How online calls for a violent uprising are hitting the mainstream

An anti-government movement that advocates for a violent uprising targeting liberal political opponents and law enforcement has moved from the fringes of the internet into the mainstream…

The movement, which says it wants a second Civil War organized around the term “boogaloo,” includes groups on mainstream internet platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Reddit, as well as fringe websites including 4chan, according to a report released Tuesday night by the Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI)…

The current boogaloo movement was first noticed by extremism researchers in 2019, when fringe groups from gun rights and militia movements to white supremacists began referring to an impending civil war using the word “boogaloo,” a joking reference to “Breakin’ 2: Electric Boogaloo,” a 1984 sequel movie about breakdancing.

On Facebook and Instagram, the researchers pointed to several boogaloo-themed public groups…

In the last three months, boogaloo-related conversation has grown rapidly…

The report also notes how the boogaloo concept has been monetized…

Boogaloo extremists have used social media…

The report tracked events when online chatter about an impending boogaloo spiked…

Second, since we’re not supposed to speak ill of the dead, criticism or counter-argument, even self-defense, is impermissible.

The intended effect is that everybody get fired up with a sadness which can quickly turn into hate, and don’t you even think about dissenting from the emotional flow.

Not entirely. I, and many of my ilk, have used the term “boogaloo” for at least a year or 2, as shorthand for “when things get spicy”, meaning open armed conflict. I didn’t see any chance of boogaloo until the economy tanked, hyperinflation ensued as the Fed conjured even more trillions from the air, worthless or non-existent EBT got the minorities riled up, the destruction of civil life, and millions of well-armed and pissed off White men found themselves pushed to the wall with nothing left to lose.

It was an Onion AVClub meme as early as way back in 2008. The suffix “2: Electric Boogaloo” was often invoked as a potential title for the sequel of any number of films, often for comedic effect.

“Schindler’s List 2: Electric Boogaloo” is a good example.

So ‘boogaloo’ is simply the distilled remainder of “Civil War 2: Electric Boogaloo”

In industry not so long ago there were tons of tough, smart old birds who never finished grade school and were miles ahead of college grads. Something about appropriating how the world works on your own.

Whoa there, Hoss. You're putting words in my mouth and reading my post incorrectly. I made no "argument" either way. I merely stated facts. I think that education-real education-is a fine thing, and necessary, but I agree with you that a college degree is not some automatic magic formula for competence in journalism or "industry".

I put those facts in there to shine a light on the hypocrisy of the modern MSM. The above named people serve as de facto judges of political candidates. Often, as in the case of former Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, who is not a college grad, or Sarah Palin, these same "journalists" use the facts of a conservative politician's education as a talking point against them, while ignoring real issues with liberal candidates. Most of the media names that I named in my post have moderated Presidential debates. The fact that they sit in judgment of politicians with their bias and hypocrisy is very problematic.

Same thing with money and the media. Someone like Mutt Lauer (also not a college grad, although Ohio U. later gave him a degree) who made $30 million a year, and regularly commuted by company helicopter from his multi million dollar Hamptons estate, when he wasn't living in his lavish Upper East Side building (where he was neighbors with Bernie Madoff) would often try to undercut wealthy conservatives, acting like he was some everyman ink-stained wretch.

I might add that, in the old days, several of those less than college educated journalists, while often technically competent and adequately educated for the job, were also every bit as biased and dishonest as these blowdried, degreed, brainwashed zombies of today.

I’m a big Kubrick, but I only just now learned that “Wendy Carlos,” the person who did the scores for A Clockwork Orange and The Shining, was an M-to-F trans:

Wendy Carlos (born Walter Carlos; November 14, 1939) is an American musician and composer best known for her electronic music and film scores. Born and raised in Rhode Island, Carlos studied physics and music at Brown University before moving to New York City in 1962 to study music composition at Columbia University. Studying and working with various electronic musicians and technicians at the city’s Columbia-Princeton Electronic Music Center, she helped the development of the Moog synthesizer, the first commercially available keyboard instrument created by Robert Moog.

Carlos came to prominence with Switched-On Bach (1968), an album of music by Johann Sebastian Bach performed on a Moog synthesizer, which helped popularize its use in the 1970s and won her three Grammy Awards. Its commercial success led to several more albums, including further synthesized classical music adaptations, and experimental and ambient music. She composed the score to two Stanley Kubrick films – A Clockwork Orange (1971) and The Shining (1980) – and also Tron (1982) for Walt Disney Productions.

In 1979, Carlos was one of the first public figures to disclose having undergone sex reassignment surgery.

Carlos became aware of her gender dysphoria at an early age, recalling: “I was about five or six… I remember being convinced I was a little girl, much preferring long hair and girls’ clothes, and not knowing why my parents didn’t see it clearly”.[1] While in college, she went on a date with a girl and felt “so jealous of her I was beside myself”.[10] When she moved to New York City in the 1960s, she learned about transgender issues for the first time and received counselling from sexologist Harry Benjamin.[10] In early 1968, Carlos began hormone replacement treatments, which altered her appearance.[1][34][35] Prior to a live performance of excerpts from Switched-On Bach with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, Carlos felt unhappy to appear in public. She cried in her hotel room and left wearing fake sideburns and a man’s wig, and drew facial hair on her face with an eyebrow pencil to disguise herself as a man. Carlos did the same thing when she met Kubrick and for an appearance on The Dick Cavett Show in 1970.[10] The commercial success of Switched-On Bach allowed Carlos to undergo sex reassignment surgery in May 1972,[36] although for marketing reasons she released two more albums as Walter Carlos (1973’s Switched On Bach II and 1975’s By Request.)[10]

Carlos disclosed her transgender status in a series of interviews with Arthur Bell held between December 1978 and January 1979 and published in the May 1979 issue of Playboy magazine. She explained that Playboy had “always been concerned with liberation, and [I was] anxious to liberate myself”.[1] In 1985, Carlos spoke about the reaction to her transition: “The public turned out to be amazingly tolerant or, if you wish, indifferent … There had never been any need of this charade to have taken place. It had proven a monstrous waste of years of my life.”[10]

There is a connection between artistic homosexuals and electronic music, it's sort of an equivalemt to Oscar Wilde's green carnation, but of course there are plenty of perfectly normal electronic music makers like Aphex Twin. John Coulthart has written about this and partly substantiated it on his excellent art blog. A German film from the 50s or early 60s dealt with homosexuality (in a rather period-constrained way) and had a partly electronic soundtrack.

    Insanely off-topic:

I'm a big Kubrick, but I only just now learned that "Wendy Carlos," the person who did the scores for A Clockwork Orange and The Shining, was an M-to-F trans:

Wendy Carlos (born Walter Carlos; November 14, 1939) is an American musician and composer best known for her electronic music and film scores. Born and raised in Rhode Island, Carlos studied physics and music at Brown University before moving to New York City in 1962 to study music composition at Columbia University. Studying and working with various electronic musicians and technicians at the city's Columbia-Princeton Electronic Music Center, she helped the development of the Moog synthesizer, the first commercially available keyboard instrument created by Robert Moog.

Carlos came to prominence with Switched-On Bach (1968), an album of music by Johann Sebastian Bach performed on a Moog synthesizer, which helped popularize its use in the 1970s and won her three Grammy Awards. What is the 'boogaloo'? How online calls for a violent uprising are hitting the mainstream

I had never heard of the so-called “Boogaloo” movement before the late May protests happened. Anyone else ever hear of it before then? My educated guess is that it is 100% deep state-manufactured.

Not entirely. I, and many of my ilk, have used the term "boogaloo" for at least a year or 2, as shorthand for "when things get spicy", meaning open armed conflict. I didn't see any chance of boogaloo until the economy tanked, hyperinflation ensued as the Fed conjured even more trillions from the air, worthless or non-existent EBT got the minorities riled up, the destruction of civil life, and millions of well-armed and pissed off White men found themselves pushed to the wall with nothing left to lose.

    Replies: @BenKenobi

It was an Onion AVClub meme as early as way back in 2008. The suffix “2: Electric Boogaloo” was often invoked as a potential title for the sequel of any number of films, often for comedic effect.

“Schindler’s List 2: Electric Boogaloo” is a good example.

So ‘boogaloo’ is simply the distilled remainder of “Civil War 2: Electric Boogaloo”

Funerals, whether of John McCain, St. George Floyd, or Rep. Lewis, are now weaponized by the MSM against Trump. Two reasons:

Funerals naturally cause emotions to well up; folks fired up.

Second, since we're not supposed to speak ill of the dead, criticism or counter-argument, even self-defense, is impermissible.

The intended effect is that everybody get fired up with a sadness which can quickly turn into hate, and don't you even think about dissenting from the emotional flow.

That's a dangerous argument to make, AD.

In industry not so long ago there were tons of tough, smart old birds who never finished grade school and were miles ahead of college grads. Something about appropriating how the world works on your own.

Where journalism's concerned, college does... what? Besides more thorough indoctrination?

    Replies: @AceDeuce

Whoa there, Hoss. You’re putting words in my mouth and reading my post incorrectly. I made no “argument” either way. I merely stated facts. I think that education-real education-is a fine thing, and necessary, but I agree with you that a college degree is not some automatic magic formula for competence in journalism or “industry”.

I put those facts in there to shine a light on the hypocrisy of the modern MSM. The above named people serve as de facto judges of political candidates. Often, as in the case of former Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, who is not a college grad, or Sarah Palin, these same “journalists” use the facts of a conservative politician’s education as a talking point against them, while ignoring real issues with liberal candidates. Most of the media names that I named in my post have moderated Presidential debates. The fact that they sit in judgment of politicians with their bias and hypocrisy is very problematic.

Same thing with money and the media. Someone like Mutt Lauer (also not a college grad, although Ohio U. later gave him a degree) who made $30 million a year, and regularly commuted by company helicopter from his multi million dollar Hamptons estate, when he wasn’t living in his lavish Upper East Side building (where he was neighbors with Bernie Madoff) would often try to undercut wealthy conservatives, acting like he was some everyman ink-stained wretch.

I might add that, in the old days, several of those less than college educated journalists, while often technically competent and adequately educated for the job, were also every bit as biased and dishonest as these blowdried, degreed, brainwashed zombies of today.

  118. Whoa there, Hoss. You’re putting words in my mouth and reading my post incorrectly.

Sorry about that. I read it as a swipe at non-college which I’ve always been curious about, seeing how a majority of the thinkers I’ve admired never went near a university.

But you last comment, alas, is true: Some self-educated lads have been straight-up boneheads too.

Carlos became aware of her gender dysphoria at an early age, recalling: "I was about five or six... I remember being convinced I was a little girl, much preferring long hair and girls' clothes, and not knowing why my parents didn't see it clearly".[1] While in college, she went on a date with a girl and felt "so jealous of her I was beside myself".[10] When she moved to New York City in the 1960s, she learned about transgender issues for the first time and received counselling from sexologist Harry Benjamin.[10] In early 1968, Carlos began hormone replacement treatments, which altered her appearance.[1][34][35] Prior to a live performance of excerpts from Switched-On Bach with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, Carlos felt unhappy to appear in public. She cried in her hotel room and left wearing fake sideburns and a man's wig, and drew facial hair on her face with an eyebrow pencil to disguise herself as a man.

She explained that Playboy had "always been concerned with liberation, and [I was] anxious to liberate myself".[1] In 1985, Carlos spoke about the reaction to her transition: "The public turned out to be amazingly tolerant or, if you wish, indifferent ... There had never been any need of this charade to have taken place. It had proven a monstrous waste of years of my life."[10]

The May 1979 Playboy interview with him/her/it contains everything you would ever want to know (and more besides) about this person.

I do like the music though.
