Is “Muslima” a word? Wouldn’t it be “Muslimah?” And how long until it becomes “Muslimx?”

  2. When Tlaib’s kid asked her about Trump, she claims to have replied “we’re gonna impeach the mother*-+:;!!!” Putting aside for a minute the questionable practice of talking to your children in such a manner, how traumatic would it be for your mom to tell you the orange man she claims to hate is sexing her up? I see another transition candidate on the horizon.

    Miguel Douglas

His real name (as far as I can tell) was Douglas Miguel Rodriguez and he was an Ecuadorian (probably illegal) immigrant who was employed in the targeted grocery store. Even though he was a "commercial engineer" for an insurance company back home (I assume that something is lost in translation and that a commercial engineer in this context is not an engineer at all but some sort of clerical worker) he was better off as a minimum wage shlepper in a ghetto grocery store in America.

    https://www.cnn.com/2019/12/12/us/jersey-city-victim-douglas-miguel-rodriguez/index.html

For some reason, it is popular for Latinos to give their kids English first names even in their home countries (though the pronunciation is usually Latinized).

It is also common for Jewish small businesses to hire folks from "the neighborhood" to work in their shops. Not only are such folks cheap labor but their presence tends to improve the relationship with "the community". Colin Powell worked in an Orthodox Jewish owned baby furniture and toy store as a kid and became very close to the family (and learned a fair bit of Yiddish). He speaks very fondly of the shop owner and says that he encouraged Powell to broaden his ambitions and not remain as a worker in the shop even though it would have been in his interest to keep such a competent employee.

"The hate growing in our country is [certainly] toxic."

I'll second that. And you, Tlaib, are the living instance of it. The living embodiment.

  9. Anon[710] • Disclaimer says:

By her definition, all were unassimilated Jews spending their time fighting assimilation. Why should Americans care about some foreign tribe trying to swing their weight around?

Truth be told, these particular Orthodox Jews are quite a collective piece of work. All transplants from Brooklyn, absolutely tribal, and all up in the faces of the longtime black occupants in that town, literally knocking on black homeowners doors every week, asking them to sell their properties to them at ridiculously low prices. The tension between the black residents and their new aspiring Orthodox Jewish overlords has been brewing for a couple of years.

Islam as practiced by a lay believer starts making a lot more sense if you compare it to Orthodox Judaism. Both religions are orthopraxic and lay down all sorts of codes on your daily behavior, ranging from what you can and cannot eat to ritual purification after having sex with your spouse.

The Qu'ran itself describes the burgeoning Believers community as practicing the kind of true undiluted monotheism practiced by "Abraham the True", who was believed to be the ancestor of both the Arabs and the Jews.

  11. “Muslima” is not a word in English, and thus not a word anybody should be saying or using in English.

In this our language (emphasis on OUR), we do not generally inflect for gender in religious particularities. Thus a female Buddhist is not a “Buddhitrix”; we do not speak of a Lutheraness, or an Episcopalianista.

And so now this Rashid person should be very quiet for a while; quiet as a titmouse, in fact.

After all, if things get antsy, we can always go back to “Mohammedaness” or “Mussulwoman” if she likes; I have a few even tastier epithets warming on the Barbie, if she really wants to play.

Agree. Also, using the Arabic-derived word "Muslima"* reinforces the dire Arab supremacism that oppresses vulnerable Muslims of Turkish, Persian, Indonesian, Kurdish, Bosnian, etc. ancestry.

*Arguably, if one is being Arab-supremacist—as Rashida Tlaib is—then using "Muslima" is a way to show deference to the Arab language. In which case, to answer Steve's original question, since there is no standard way to transliterate Arabic into English (unlike Chinese and the pinyin system), you can render Arabic words into Latin letters any old way you want. To Steve's point, the more common systems would render that Arabic suffix as "-ah", but since upending all existing standards and imposing their own new standard is the program of Rashida Tlaib & Co., they're going with "-a" just to make a new hurdle for you to jump.

  15. According to her Wikipedia page she can rightfully claim to be a Detroit native.

  16. Well, in the mainstream, Steve, they wouldn’t dare question Muslima. Those broads can hang whatever designation they want and who’s gonna say no?

I wouldn’t look for a MuslimX designation. If Muslim/Islamic chicks from Saudi, Little Baghdad, Pakistan and the like start going lesbian or tranny of some sort, or the boys especially, the radicals among them will find their religious leaders declaring Fatwas and laying disgrace on families to kill the non-believer. Muslims in all those Muslim districts are murdering daughters for ‘honor’ and to answer a Fatwa. They lash the homos until they pass out in Acea, Indonesia, in Baghdad, Iraq they march gay boys to the top of a 7 story building and throw them off to their deaths. Saudi Arabia and Iran are so severe supposedly that they won’t even talk about it, has to do with whips, not canes.

    MuslimX. I dunno..

    Miguel Douglas

His real name (as far as I can tell) was Douglas Miguel Rodriguez and he was an Ecuadorian (probably illegal) immigrant who was employed in the targeted grocery store. Even though he was a “commercial engineer” for an insurance company back home (I assume that something is lost in translation and that a commercial engineer in this context is not an engineer at all but some sort of clerical worker) he was better off as a minimum wage shlepper in a ghetto grocery store in America.

For some reason, it is popular for Latinos to give their kids English first names even in their home countries (though the pronunciation is usually Latinized).

It is also common for Jewish small businesses to hire folks from “the neighborhood” to work in their shops. Not only are such folks cheap labor but their presence tends to improve the relationship with “the community”.

The Qu’ran itself describes the burgeoning Believers community as practicing the kind of true undiluted monotheism practiced by “Abraham the True”, who was believed to be the ancestor of both the Arabs and the Jews.

    @nebulafox

Orthopraxis, as far as I am concerned, is just a derogatory name for orthodoxy used by non-believers to denigrate the orthodox practice of religion (whether in general or wrt to specific religions such as Orthodox Judaism or Salafist Islam). Orthopraxis is intended to convey that all there is to that religion is a series of meaningless ritual steps.

While this probably describes some members of the community who are alienated from the belief system but go thru the motions in order to remain in good standing and preserve their position in their family or community, to a true believer praxis follows from doctrine. You believe the doctrine first and the praxis naturally follows. For example, within Judaism every believer is supposed to follow 613 commandments. Many of these are related to praxis - don't eat this type of food, don't have sex with that type of person, do eat such and such food on such and such holiday, do give charity. But many of them are based on belief - belief in a single God. There is no distinction between the commandments based on doctrine and those base on practice.

Now since no one (except God) can really know what is inside your head, anyone who goes thru the proper motions and says the proper words must be given the benefit of the doubt and accepted as a member of the community - only totalitarians demand to own your head and torture you until you confess your true thoughts. And if praxis follows from belief, then vice versa may also be true - if you go thru the motions enough you may come to believe the doctrine too. But this doesn't mean that the religion is based SOLELY on praxis.

If the Democratic Party were truly controlled by the Jews in the sense that you think, you would not be seeing the increasing groundswell of pro-Palestinian sentiment. That, or maybe the real problem is the liberal upper-middle class (mostly, though not all white) walking hand in hand with corporate donors to create a smiley-face hellhole for the rest of the US.

    >Or that Muslim influence is anywhere near strong enough in the US for Islam to be a controlling political force.

European countries really have to worry about radical Islam posing a serious threat to internal stability in the coming decades. The US does not, a fact that anybody with sound judgement should be profoundly grateful for: and should remain committed to ensuring it doesn't become one. We've got enough home-grown nuts all over the political spectrum as it is, we really don't need to be importing more from abroad.

Naturally, though, our donor class in their infinite wisdom thinks a few extra "incidents" per year, a rise in organized crime, and some overtime for the IC is a worthwhile price to pay for flooding the labor market. My guess is that they will continue to do so to their destruction.

They outfoxed and often gloatingly killed all their self-declared superiors. In the end, Trotsky could be as sniffy as he wanted: that was what mattered.

No, Hitler and Stalin were not geniuses. But they were not unintelligent men by any means. Both of them, particularly Stalin, were voracious readers all their lives, and clearly displayed the ability to synthesize high-level material. (This isn't to say that Jack's take is always inaccurate: Idi Amin, on the other hand...)

To compulsively refuse to recognize talents and formidability in the morally reprehensible is an extremely immature approach to history.

The preferred spelling is indeed Muslimah, but Wiktionary includes Muslima as an alternate spelling.

    Muslimx sounds like a cereal.

Also, a cop died, but apparently that doesn't matter to Tlaib.

Muesli is a popular European breakfast cereal.

Jews abuse Arabs/Muslims, but Arabs/Muslims blame whites.

    Relax.

Jews abuse Blacks, but Blacks blame Whites.
Blacks abuse Jews, but Jews blame Whites.

    So it all works out.

I don’t find this convincing. Any public activity involves scheming & all people involved in politics are, to a non-negligible degree, schemers. Hitler & Stalin were, of course, historical figures; they were charismatics, too.

So you're saying that Hitler and Stalin were the best Germany and the Soviet Union had to offer, at that particular point in time, that they weren't just schemers par excellence, but the distillation of excellence in their respective countries? I think the worship of rulers as living gods is long past its expiration date.

*I* didn't put anyone in power. The people responsible for that would be the Jewish-controlled Democratic party. So nobody better come crying to me when their bad decisions come back to bite them.

In any case, I really doubt Omar or Tlaib has the ability to be a Stalin or Hitler, or that Muslim influence is anywhere near strong enough in the US for Islam to be a controlling political force.

    >The people responsible for that would be the Jewish-controlled Democratic party.

    Your call, buddy.

    >In any case, I really doubt Omar or Tlaib has the ability to be a Stalin or Hitler,

    Because they don’t.

    >Or that Muslim influence is anywhere near strong enough in the US for Islam to be a controlling political force.

European countries really have to worry about radical Islam posing a serious threat to internal stability in the coming decades. The US does not, a fact that anybody with sound judgement should be profoundly grateful for: and should remain committed to ensuring it doesn’t become one. We’ve got enough home-grown nuts all over the political spectrum as it is, we really don’t need to be importing more from abroad.

Naturally, though, our donor class in their infinite wisdom thinks a few extra “incidents” per year, a rise in organized crime, and some overtime for the IC is a worthwhile price to pay for flooding the labor market. My guess is that they will continue to do so to their destruction.

  69. I think the word has only ever been used by Richard Dawkins in his “Dear Muslima” mock open letter of 2011 — an important turning point in the atheist/skeptic community going full SJW.
