JFK’s nephew says Emanuel has plan to force black people out of Chicago
By Andrew O’Reilly | Fox NewsIn a war of words between heavyweight names in the national Democratic establishment, a Kennedy running for governor has slammed Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel for his alleged complicity in a gentrification plan that critics say is forcing African-Americans and other minorities out of the country’s third-largest city.
“I believe that black people are being pushed out of Chicago intentionally by a strategy that involves disinvestment in communities being implemented by the city administration,” said Chris Kennedy, who is running for the Democratic gubernatorial nomination ahead of a March 20 primary. “I believe Rahm Emanuel is the head of the city administration and therefore needs to be held responsible for those outcomes,” Kennedy said, according to the Chicago Tribune.
“This is involuntary. That we’re cutting off funding for schools, cutting off funding for police, allowing people to be forced to live in food deserts, closing hospitals, closing access to mental health facilities. What choice do people have but to move, to leave?” Kennedy was quoted as saying. “And I think that’s part of a strategic gentrification plan being implemented by the city of Chicago to push people of color out of the city. The city is becoming smaller, and as it becomes smaller, it’s become whiter.”

What surprised me in a quick Wiki search was his/her many parachute jumps as a member of the 82nd Airborne including at least one at the North Pole. Transgenderism may not be my cup of tea but even I must give her/him its due. And anyway the Colonel is a Republican, undoubtedly a charter member of the Log Cabin Club.
Chicago and Illinois are both in disastrous fiscal shape. They will have more budget pressures curtailing whatever Rahmian excesses may be dreamed up, although Uncle Sugar is always nearby to ask to fund more programs. Rahmie may find the current administration less pliable so will have to economize, which is a dirty word around those parts.
This sounds like a clever move for Kennedy. Blacks might perceive him as the less “racist” candidate. (I doubt if many have any natural affinity for hyper-elite Jewish ballet dancers…) By contrast, some non-blacks might think, “I’m not a racist, but blacks should not be forced out of their Chicago communities to come live next to me.”
He’s right of course but polite people aren’t supposed to say it out loud, especially when they’re part of the class that benefits from it. He wants to get the black vote by pretending to be their friend. Anyway, what does he care, he’ll never live next to any black ghetto. He’s just being hypocritical.

Emmanuel is the white face of the Obama cabal who have bought up the desired properties at bargain prices, owing to the current neighborhood configuration, and who will profit handsomely by the wave of gentrification.
So-called food deserts are the result of ghetto scum shoplifting stores into bankruptcy. It’s not the elites who “force people to live in food deserts.” It’s the antisocial nature of a very large proportion of the ghetto community. It’s not like these people have to steal in order to eat. They steal so they can sell their EBT cards for 50 cents on the dollar.
I’m not a fan, but Rahm can be effective when and where he wants. Pragmatic Jewish politicians like Rahm or Bloomberg could actually get themselves elected to higher office if they became Republicans (not New York City Republicans like Bloomberg). If Bloomberg hadn’t foolishly committed himself to the anti-gun issue, who knows. I think some Jewish politicians might reflexively choose to be Democrats because of tradition and a false belief that traditional Americans would vote against them. But Americans are far less anti-Semitic than Jewish people think. I would guess the majority of Americans don’t know any Jewish people in real life, and see only the funny comedians and tv personalities and wouldn’t mind voting for a Jewish politician who says the right things. The really anti-Semitic people are the recent arrivals and many blacks, who still hold the prejudices that whites have largely abandoned.

Of course he has made much off his money off the backs of poor Mexicans, and he invests it in things like the NYT whose journalist-prostitutes spend their days trying to talk Americans into accepting an open border so that the poor mestizos and indios whom wealthy Caucasoid plutocrats like Salim keep impoverished can come flooding into the US, take our jobs and send money back to Mexico, all while working stiff suckers in the midwest are “sponsoring” poor Mexican kids.

State owned grocery stores are a good way to manage the life expectancy of your population. If you want them to die early supply only processed foods and liquor. Much like the quickimarts run by Muslim and Asian immigrants in black communities, now. In a way, given that these minority businesses have access to low interest loans, they are de facto government grocery stores.

Someone, probably a liberal do gooder type, opened a health food store in the black ghetto here in Indianapolis. OT, but have FedEx/UPS/etc. changed practices as social trust in America has declined? I thought of this as I just received a package from FedEx; the driver handed it to me and walked away, no signature required. Frequently, they just leave packages on the front porch.

Note also that the driving force in these kinds of efforts are always-always-well-to-do lefty do-gooder whites, never the blacks themselves. The driving force is something of a mix of petty venality-what Steve diagnosed-and the desire to do “good” in their own mind, with the former becoming more prominent in recent decades.
Besides the Boston busing brouhaha, Chicago was also great example of this in action. Hizzoner (the real one) basically did everything he could to keep the city segregated, and more or less succeeded. Upper-middle class liberals were outraged, but to their dismay, the vast majority of blacks didn’t much mind this at all. On the contrary, Daley’s machine offered them what they actually cared about, as opposed to what they were told by the media to care about: patronage jobs, navigating a Byzantine government bureaucracy, housing assistance, etc. Most didn’t aspire to move to ethnic all-white neighborhoods that they knew darn well would be viciously hostile to them-and to their children. Nowadays, blacks in Chicago who can often leave the traditional “Black Belt” for places like the black or mixed middle-class suburbs surrounding Atlanta or Dallas. Much of this is related to why everybody else has been going to the Sunbelt: better economy, lower costs of housing, etc, but for them, there’s the additional factor of not having to worry for the safety of their 13 year old son playing basketball, or for him ending up in a school that doesn’t actually teach him anything (without having to shell out thousands of dollars to send him to private school instead). This creates a massive dysgenic effect, as they are usually the ones with the education/skills.
Also important to note that many of the old-time Civil Rights leaders came from the Deep South, where everybody was just “white” or “black”, with no further distinctions, leading them to analyze the situation in Chicago wrong in the mid-60s. When looking at the splits between MLK and Malcolm X, it is never pointed out often that they came from different parts of the country, with different forms of racism-they had massively different formative experiences because of this.

Don’t confuse indifference with hostility. I really don’t think Dubya and Rove, in particular, had the capacity for thinking in those kinds of terms. The main reason they are so fond of illegal immigration is money, pure and simple. The political benefits that they think of-such as diluting the power of native workers and voters-are mostly related to that. Smart observation and I agree with you. The chance of a decent, life advancing job is remote – especially in chronically economically depressed upstate NY (thanks to NYC liberals). However, the same decent, hard-working black person is at significant risk of getting his/her brains bashed in for “acting white” by black neighborhood ghetto rats by trying to improve their lot in life. Hardly any reporter ever talk/writes about this and it is so pervasive in inner-city schools it prevents any smart black kid from pursing any intellectual activity. Good question. Safeway installs Plexiglas barriers only in neighborhoods with high levels of shoplifting which coincidentally are the ones with significant black populations. At what point does the faux legal doctrine of disparate impact come into play? When will some enterprising lawyer file a discrimination law suit against Safeway? I think Safeway is on solid legal ground provided they are first willing to sustain significant losses at a particular Safeway before they put in the barriers.

Yes, it will be Africans, Haitians, and various Trinidadians/Guyanese. It is already happening in some parts of some cities.
There are some regional variants (Chinese cuisine is really like 8-12 different ones put together under a larger fabric) of “real” Chinese cuisine that are quite healthy. Unfortunately, though, they tend not to appeal to America palates. American Chinese cuisine is more or less a dumbed down version of Cantonese, with the emphasis on freshness, lightness, and tons of fresh vegetables replaced by tons of sugar/seasonings and an emphasis on meat. To be fair, though, the Cantonese are notoriously adventurous eaters, even among other Chinese-they’ll eat anything with four legs except a table, as the old saying goes. Fujianese tends to also be pretty healthy, given the emphasis on seafood, and many of the newer wave emigrants in places like Flushing come from Fujian: meaning it has taken off.
There are also some that are not so healthy-Shanghainese cuisine is pretty sweet and oily. And Sichuanese/Hunanese is devilishly salty and greasy-though oh so freaking good if, like me, you are super-into spicy foods. The chilies do a number on my poor, American reared laowai anus every time, but I just keep going back because I’m a masochist in areas other than math and C++, I guess.

Living in Illinois, particularly in Chicagoland, is simply not a good deal unless you’re making serious money working downtown. In addition to very high taxes and fees, the “diversity tax” drastically raises the cost of living if you want to live in a safe neighborhood of people with middle or upper-middle class mores. The median home price in Chicago/Chicagoland is pretty low, but that’s deceiving. If you want to live in a house in a decent neighborhood, the *median price* is more like double or triple the reported median. And your property taxes on that median middle class house will be $10,000 – $20,000 a year. While you can pay off your mortgage, property taxes never go away.
It will be interesting to see just how white Chicago stays as the Millennials age. The older Millennials (born in the 1980s—really Gen Y) are now mostly married and either have young children or will soon. Many Gen Y’ers have been giving it a real college try to raise their family in the City, but I predict a pretty large wave of defectors (to the suburbs or to other parts of the country) once the parents realize just how bad CPS is and just how depraved the ghetto kids of Chicago are. In the Death Clock: Metalocalypse episode lampooning Hollywood (“BLOOD OCEAN”), a somewhat Weinsteinish producer explains that he doesn’t care if his movies bomb because he’s still making money through all the related processes, and the bombing lets him write off taxes and launder drug money.

Kugel, with variations in many lands, will stick to your ribs. A sweetish course after those savory pierogies or sausages or other entrées and their cabbage (or potato or onion or carrot) sides, washed down with a lager or other beverage of choice or availability. Hot, substantial food would be just the thing for our frozen readers in the east.
Agreed in spirit, but the nice parts of NW IN (Munster, St. John, etc.) are just far enough away that you’re essentially guaranteed a fairly long commute. And if you’re making good money in downtown Chicago, you’re probably putting in long hours, so a long commute really stings. Finally, there is a big anti-Indiana animus among Chicagoans. It’s a big status hit to you and your kids to move to NW IN. Probably still worth it if it makes sense otherwise, but I know lots of people that immediately turn up their nose at the mention of Indiana, even though they’d clearly be better off there.

I grew up being taught in school, church and popular culture that all people on earth cherished freedom and inherently wish to work for the greater good of a civilized society regardless of race or religion. I had a cousin who was an Ivy League grad and into the whole urban engineering/planning thing, and asked when Gary was going to come back, as I was seriously considering buying some land and holding it until the revival came, my 2000s version of Bitcoin. Just as I predicted. Walmart is being sued in Riverside county for locking up black hair care products. If it weren’t for cockamamie leftist judges in California who ignore both evidence and the law, I’d say the black woman who initiated the suit wouldn’t have a prayer in court since Walmart uses theft statistics, not including closed circuit camera data, to determine which products get locked up. In fact, a quick check into this woman’s background will probably turn up one or more shoplifting arrests.
