Although transphobia is high on the list of the mortal sins of The Current Year, not being transphobic enough to keep your paws off the female impersonators can also get a guy in trouble. From Deadline, on the fate of the great comic actor Jeffrey Tambor (needy sidekick Hank on The Larry Sanders Show, Arrested Development), who stars in Transparent as a father who decides in late middle age that he’s really a woman:

Jeffrey Tambor Exits ‘Transparent’ After Sexual Harassment Allegations

He’s accused of not finding the various transgenders employed by the show sexually repulsive.

What society needs, apparently, is more transgendermania and Complete Decorum.

Lots of luck, America!

  1. He probably would have been fired if he was transphobic. I guess you can call it a “trans-22” situation.

World War T on T hits Canada:

    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-42032700

A Canadian transgender job fair organised by a former Kenyan refugee [so they can go home now?] has been criticised for inviting military recruiters.

[Transgender woman] Biko Beauttah said she asked the army to the event to honour her grandfather, who was a Kenyan major general.

… The Canadian Armed Forces is sending two personnel to find possible transgender recruits.

… Transroots Toronto, a group for transgender people of colour, says the job fair is a “racist act”.

“Given the ongoing history of military and police violence against trans people, and of police indifference to anti-trans violence generally, having military or police present at an event specifically for TPOC (Trans People of Color) is an inherently violent act,” Transroots Toronto wrote on Facebook.

Wouldn't it be nice if they ever cited some examples? We're just told that the world is out to murder trans people. At first it was just suggested that random criminals did it. Now we're told the institutions of the state (The Canadian state no less!) are at it, in 2017!

Though people differ on if transitioning is life-affirming or a kind of delusional self-harm that can't be undone, they are generally sympathetic to people with sexual dysphoria. You're telling me the Canadian military and police are physically abusing trans people and or being indifferent to prosecuting those who do and it isn't a big issue in the media?

Valerie Harper managed to get herself fired off of Valerie, as did Cindy Williams from Laverne & Shirley. In both cases it was because their husbands were troublemakers. In Williams' case, the husband was Bill Hudson, father of Kate.

Someone should start a gameshow called Accuse. People in the industry come forth to ACCUSE someone this week.

  6. According to reports from the media and CIA, Russia began “cultivating” Trump back in 2011.

Apparently the Russian government has sophisticated electoral algorithms that, five years in advance, predicted a Trump win in the 2016 presidential election. So, based on their highly accurate predictive model, the Russians decided to begin “cultivating” Trump as some sort of puppet Manchurian candidate.

However, new evidence has emerged that the Russian government (then known as the Soviet Union) began “cultivating” Trump back in 1987. So apparently Russian electoral models are so sophisticated that they predicted his win 29 years in advance!

.... and the Russians used "predictive programming" to get Americans comfortable with a Russian agent who's a blond billionaire with a German-Scots-Queens, NY accent. In 1985 they released A View To A Kill, which co-starred Christopher Walken as the Bond villain, Max Zorin. It's all there if you look for it. Even Vigilant Citizen dot com is scared to touch this though.

"the KGB almost certainly made the trip happen"

Yes, it is utterly amazing. When you stick 'KGB' in a sentence literally anything is possible.

And since Putin worked for KGB in 1985, you could say: 'some people suspect that young Putin was involved'. Of course, in between assassinating the pope, crushing Wall Street (repeatedly), spreading Aids, and stealing cabbage from Dresden outdoor markets. Come to think of it 'almost certainly' means roughly the same in this context as 'I don't know'... This will be quite a circus before it plays out.

To give the article some creedence* I do remember those worries all American Cold War strategists like myself had in 1987. As I recall, there was the missile gap, the Fulda Gap, and the real estate gap. The Soviets literally GROOMED this guy, back when "literally" actually meant literally, and "actually", err, actually meant actually.

Keep in mind that these KGB experts who forecast an election 3 decades prior were the very same guys who predcted the coming ice age, and the subsequent Global Climate Disruption(TM) that we find ourselves in the midst of right now (the jetstream is heading south literally as I type this.)

  8. This is just one giant hysteric hissy fit by the would-be women in charge. Like in the old USSR, where getting an apartment or better job meant denouncing a neighbor or co-worker, the same is true for replacing actors like Jeffrey Tambor. Presumably some trans “MUST” be replacing said actor.

That and attention-whoring are the main motivations. I mean, who really CARES about Jeffrey Tambor? Other than the tranny after his job?

Long term, having lots and lots of Muslims in the US with their “different” views on sexuality and consent and age (Mohammed married and had sex with Aisha when she was age nine. NINE. This "transparent" series probably has the same viewership as "Girls" so no one really cares even if Tambor was eaten by a shark or tossed into a burning dumpster.

Hell if they wanted ratings they'd follow some lunatic tranny around trying to pick up guys and then video him getting his butt kicked and rolled out the door. Even in a progressive city like Los Angeles, they don't fare well in certain ethnic groups like Mexicans. They will kill them. Hell even white guys will under certain circumstances.

I think it's a biological imperative to eliminate such mistakes from gene pool.

The question, though, is whether it is possible to have enough Muslims in the US to defeat the "nice White Ladies", but avoid the "when Islam conquers a civilization, that civilization dies" problem?

Ok. One accusation (Trace Lysette) who plays a female impersonator yoga instructor on the show. (I assume he/she plays one in real life too, but hell if I know). The original accusation is from Tambor's assistant, who is a trans woman (female impersonator), and basically said that Tambor was a shitty and creepy boss on facebook. "A copy of that Facebook post was obtained by The Hollywood Reporter. In it, Barnes, without directly naming Tambor, vents about an employer who made comments like "I should be sleeping with him if I want a Hollywood industry appropriate pay grade" and "it wouldn't take long, he pops quick." She says the employer subjected her to "butt pats," pornography played at loud volumes, and complaints that she "was useless, could do nothing right."

Steve, I know you live close to Hollywood and wherever they make these TV shows, but I really want to know why you care about this stuff. You have a lot of interests that you write well about. There are so many REAL problems, yet this stuff consists of entirely MADE-UP problems.

I've never heard of this dude(?), this show, or whatever network it's on, most likely totally different from its name. It's true that these shows influence some people that (according to Nielsen) watch that idiot box, but I imagine more than 1/2 of them just have the set on as background noise. However, the stories about which actor doesn't like this other one, and what they do off-stage is stuff that doesn't affect anybody, and writing about it is just playing into their hands, I think. If we all ignored them, would it matter?

I may have to change my screen name to "Freddie", in honor of a ZeroHedge commenter that would rag on people watching TV crap about once each day. BTW, I filled out a Nielsen diary a few years back. I dutifully filled out each page, but of the whole week, I only had 5 minutes on about 3 days of that week with anything but X's, for "checking the weather". In actuality, the set was NEVER on, but I didn't want them to think I was some kind of anti-TV fanatic, or they might not have sent me 2 more bucks cash in the mail as a thank you.

John Ritter died right in the middle of a show he starred in. They adapted around that and incorporated it in.

The only other similar example I can think of is Larry Hagman dying during the new incarnation of 'Dallas'. They did incorporate his death into the plot as the character's death since it was cancer and they had time to have him act in it. But ratings (obviously) fell after he was gone, and the show was cancelled (never to return. 'Dallas' without JR Ewing is just not possible).

What was Bill's role in Cindy's appearance in The First Nudie Musical? She did it as a favor to friends. But she was fully dressed throughout. However, she did have to swear a bit.

    A truly bizarre episode.

I thought your comment was kind of aiming for a bit of a dramatic denouement there. As I was reading "in William's case, the husband was..." I expected maybe Steven Speilberg!! 16. Interesting survey data on the USA:

Via Z-Man, more generational survey data to chew on. This one explicitly and almost exclusively focuses on race among those aged 18-34 (mostly millennials but also the leading edge of Gen Z),

    – A majority–52%–of blacks identify “racism” from a list of 22 possible choices as one of the top three most important problems in the contemporary US, with 29% of blacks identifying it as the single most important problem in the country (health care comes in at a distant second, at 13%).

No matter what happens, this will never end. No amount of prostration to or deification of blacks will mollify them. Transferring trillions more in various welfare programs from blacks to non-blacks won’t do it, either. It’s with us as long as blacks are with us.

Large numbers of Hispanics and Asians–33% and 32%, respectively–also put racism in the top three. All racial problems in the US will continue to accentuate rather than ameliorate as time goes on.

In contrast, the issue of “women’s rights” gets single-digits across the color spectrum, with just 4% of the total survey pool prioritizing it.

When America was over 80% white, special privileges for non-whites weren’t something that effected most whites. Only those on the very bottom of society had much to lose. That America is long gone.

In today’s disUnited States of Diversity, white Zyklons are teetering on the edge of minority status. Special privileges for non-whites threatens the prospects of the vast majority of them. They’re reacting accordingly.

To the question “Do you agree or disagree that discrimination against whites has become as big a problem as discrimination against blacks and other minorities?”, whites split almost evenly with 48% agreeing and 51% disagreeing. These responses are mostly from millennials, with a dash of the front end of Gen Z thrown in. I suspect that whites currently in junior high and high school will push that “agree” figure over 50% in the coming years, probably drastically so.

Relatedly, while 85% of whites think whites and non-whites “share common problems and can be political allies”, just 49% of non-whites think the same.

That’s right, a slim majority of non-whites think white and non-whites cannot be political allies. Ekow Yankah is speaking on behalf of huge numbers of non-whites.

Political dissolution now or later, then?

    http://anepigone.blogspot.com/2017/11/white-woes.html

And it doesn't matter. So what if more and more whites realize we're under attack? We still can't stop the attacks, which will just keep on coming and coming until we're rendered extinct. And there's nothing we can do about it. We've already lost, the enemy is unstoppable, and all hope is lost.

Political dissolution now or later, then?

More like never, because that was "settled at Appomattox". Texas v. White, "more perfect Union", "one nation… indivisible", et cetera, et cetera. Once you're part of USA, you're part of it forever. Non-violent "political dissolution" has been officially ruled Absolutely Forbidden For All Time. And as for violent political dissolution, what makes you think a second Civil War would go any better than the first? Particularly with the changes in warfare and military technology, and lack of clear geographic lines of division (look at a county-level US political map, for one).

  21. @steve, agreed without Tambor there is no show, but the whole point was to win awards not make money. Amazon was pursuing the Harvey Weinstein strategy (not THAT one), itself a mere refinement of the Brandon Tartikoff strategy. Remember how Tartikoff kept low-rated shows like Seinfeld in its 1989 season, and St. Elsewhere, and Hill Street Blues on the air for years? When other networks would have canceled them immediately? It was all about demographics pitched to advertisers eager to get the upscale market which the otherwise low-rated shows delivered.

MUCH of the poz is a feedback loop from overpursuing that strategy: more and more shock the bourgeoisie has to get more and more debased, in order to win more awards and upscale viewers which Amazon is clearly pursuing in contrast to Netflix which is chasing volume over edgy hipness that wins awards. To win awards you eventually end up with hipster heat death which is exactly where our culture is heading.

Amazon in ditching Tambor not only signals that hey, make an accusation and move up as someone is fired, they have no show but its predictable since they are catering for some bizarre reason to upscale viewers. Netflix by contrast in much of their Marvel series offers nothing political, and a lot of heroic fighting, by manly men being heroes, which is of some small interest to that tiny segment of the population called men.

[The Punisher is truly awful, the SWPL/SJW writing staff has no idea what to do with the character: witness the Romantic Side of Frank Castle, the buddy comedy side of Frank Castle, with the enemies being crazy White ex soldiers blowing up NYC with pressure cooker bombs. Castle is helped by heroic Muslimina chicks in undress, and patriotic Hispanics and Muslims fighting the evil CIA/Blackwater … but not the high up CIA leadership which is heroic Hillary persisting old ladies … a total mess and a writing staff clueless about ticking off the potential audience. In his series the Punisher does not kill criminals but … his ex military buddies and CIA agents and Trump voters I guess. I left after a bunch of episodes, it never gets better.]

TL:DR version, when all you have is shock the bourgeoisie, all you get is niche stuff that lacks broad appeal when the environment changes precisely to favor broad appeal, and your entire structure is vulnerable to heresy denunciation that encourages a Stalin-less Stalinism. Or mob oriented virtual Salem Witch trials.

[Now that some Girls writer is accused of attempted rape by the actress daughter of Harold Perrineau, its clear that Hollywood lefty dudes victimize even insider daughters — Aurora Perrineau was 17 at the time and hilariously Lena Dunham has with her female producer defended the writer in question.]

  22. BTW, the FT this weekend has a feature of Russia being serious in movie and series production. Apparently they are not following the old Soviet stuff of “be as edgy as you can without Stalin or Brezhnev noticing” since no one got paid. Instead with Putin’s support they are trying to both make lots of money and create global soft-power influence by making stuff that appeals to lots of people.

As opposed to movies about a dwarf living under an abandoned train station.

I honestly felt that whoever wrote the Punisher felt a need to stick it to its most probable viewers. This is just one giant hysteric hissy fit by the would-be women in charge. Like in the old USSR, where getting an apartment or better job meant denouncing a neighbor or co-worker, the same is true for replacing actors like Jeffrey Tambor. Presumably some trans "MUST" be replacing said actor.

That and attention-whoring are the main motivations. I mean, who really CARES about Jeffrey Tambor? Other than the tranny after his job?

Long term, having lots and lots of Muslims in the US with their "different" views on sexuality and consent and age (Mohammed married and had sex with Aisha when she was age nine. NINE. And Muslims believe Mohammed to be the Messenger of God and the only perfect man, worthy of emulation) --is not compatible with what nice White Ladies want.

This “transparent” series probably has the same viewership as “Girls” so no one really cares even if Tambor was eaten by a shark or tossed into a burning dumpster.

Hell if they wanted ratings they’d follow some lunatic tranny around trying to pick up guys and then video him getting his butt kicked and rolled out the door. Even in a progressive city like Los Angeles, they don’t fare well in certain ethnic groups like Mexicans. They will kill them. Hell even white guys will under certain circumstances.

I think it’s a biological imperative to eliminate such mistakes from gene pool.

According to reports from the media and CIA, Russia began "cultivating" Trump back in 2011.

Apparently the Russian government has sophisticated electoral algorithms that, five years in advance, predicted a Trump win in the 2016 presidential election. So, based on their highly accurate predictive model, the Russians decided to begin "cultivating" Trump as some sort of puppet Manchurian candidate.

However, new evidence has emerged that the Russian government (then known as the Soviet Union) began "cultivating" Trump back in 1987. So apparently Russian electoral models are so sophisticated that they predicted his win 29 years in advance!

    Utterly amazing.

“the KGB almost certainly made the trip happen”

Yes, it is utterly amazing. When you stick ‘KGB’ in a sentence literally anything is possible.

And since Putin worked for KGB in 1985, you could say: ‘some people suspect that young Putin was involved’. Of course, in between assassinating the pope, crushing Wall Street (repeatedly), spreading Aids, and stealing cabbage from Dresden outdoor markets. Come to think of it ‘almost certainly’ means roughly the same in this context as ‘I don’t know’… This will be quite a circus before it plays out.

Hate Word!! "Tranny" is a "Hate Word" and on a college campus, saying "Tranny" will bring the campus police.

During a discussion about the university’s lack of “Antifa” violence, Albrecht said the campus was too small for a potential violent activist to hide his identity.

“You know, you can definitely, you see one tranny that’s trying to punch someone,” Albrecht told The Fix he said on-air. “You know it’s automatically that one guy that you know I’m talking about. I bet you know. I’m not going to dox anybody and name them on air. But you two know if I say the tranny who looks like he’s going to punch someone. Yep.”

“About fifteen minutes later,” Albrecht told The Fix, “the student station manager came into the studio with a UMMPD officer and told us to leave. She said we had violated FCC law by saying a word that was never allowed on air, ‘tranny.’ So we packed up and left the studio.”

“Hey guys, I am just going to have you leave. You said a couple words that break FCC violations,” the manager says, according to the video, which appears to be lightly edited for time. “And so for today I am going to have you stop your show. Specifically tranny. That is a hate slur it is not allowed on radio. I need you to leave.”

As she says these words, a campus police officer stands in the background, the video shows.

“Did you really have to call the police?” the students ask.

    “Yes,” she responds.

“It’s a violation, you are breaking the law,” she continued. “I just need to enter a report. …”

“That is a specific hate speech word never allowed on radio,” she tells the students as they pack up, “in the same way that you can never say ‘cocksucker’ on radio.”

Apparently they are not following the old Soviet stuff of "be as edgy as you can without Stalin or Brezhnev noticing" since no one got paid. Steve, I know you live close to Hollywood and wherever they make these TV shows, but I really want to know why you care about this stuff. You have a lot of interests that you write well about. There are so many REAL problems, yet this stuff consists of entirely MADE-UP problems.

I’ve never heard of this dude(?), this show, or whatever network it’s on, most likely totally different from its name. It’s true that these shows influence some people that (according to Nielsen) watch that idiot box, but I imagine more than 1/2 of them just have the set on as background noise. However, the stories about which actor doesn’t like this other one, and what they do off-stage is stuff that doesn’t affect anybody, and writing about it is just playing into their hands, I think. If we all ignored them, would it matter?

I may have to change my screen name to “Freddie”, in honor of a ZeroHedge commenter that would rag on people watching TV crap about once each day. BTW, I filled out a Nielsen diary a few years back. I dutifully filled out each page, but of the whole week, I only had 5 minutes on about 3 days of that week with anything but X’s, for “checking the weather”. In actuality, the set was NEVER on, but I didn’t want them to think I was some kind of anti-TV fanatic, or they might not have sent me 2 more bucks cash in the mail as a thank you.

  38. Somewhat off-topic, but I think if conservatives were to devise a TV show designed to satirize everything about coastal elite lifestyles and values, ‘Transparent” would be it. So much so in fact that I was almost suspicious of some subversive intent ‘between the lines’.

I mean the behavior of ALL the main characters (I watched the first two seasons) was abysmally infantile and just plain selfish with very little of the middle brow moral didacticism that one usually encounters in these shows. For example, it’s also true that the characters in Sex in the City or Will and Grace are odious parasites, but the aesthetic of those shows follows the usual generic ‘moral arc’ in which characters ‘learn a lesson’ via crisis and resolution in each show, and they are held up to their benighted audience as ‘role models’ or something like that. No one could watch Transparent that way – its actual mode (despite its intentions) is a Sopranos like nihilism, in that the character ‘lessons’ learned are always trivial compared to their enduring narcissism.

Who cares about "Transparent" WITH Jeffrey Tambor?

And can anyone translate what Tambor is accused of from Newspeak 2017 edition to twentieth-century English? I suspect that Tambor is accused of groping two female impersonators that are actor/actresses on the show.

Ok. One accusation (Trace Lysette) who plays a female impersonator yoga instructor on the show. (I assume he/she plays one in real life too, but hell if I know). Lysette says that Tambor humped her like a poorly behaved dog while hugging her on the set. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/transparent-star-alleges-jeffrey-tambor-sexually-harassed-her-got-physical-1059306

So one claim of a mild sexual assault.

I’m shocked, shocked to learn that Jeffrey Tambor says awkwardly amusing things off camera as well as on.

Next you’ll be telling me Senator Al Franken is obnoxious in real life as well as on TV.

Interesting survey data on the USA:

Via Z-Man, more generational survey data to chew on. This one explicitly and almost exclusively focuses on race among those aged 18-34 (mostly millennials but also the leading edge of Gen Z),

    - A majority--52%--of blacks identify "racism" from a list of 22 possible choices as one of the top three most important problems in the contemporary US, with 29% of blacks identifying it as the single most important problem in the country (health care comes in at a distant second, at 13%).

No matter what happens, this will never end. No amount of prostration to or deification of blacks will mollify them. Transferring trillions more in various welfare programs from blacks to non-blacks won't do it, either. It's with us as long as blacks are with us.

Large numbers of Hispanics and Asians--33% and 32%, respectively--also put racism in the top three. All racial problems in the US will continue to accentuate rather than ameliorate as time goes on.

In contrast, the issue of "women's rights" gets single-digits across the color spectrum, with just 4% of the total survey pool prioritizing it.

When America was over 80% white, special privileges for non-whites weren't something that effected most whites. Only those on the very bottom of society had much to lose. That America is long gone.

In today's disUnited States of Diversity, white Zyklons are teetering on the edge of minority status. Special privileges for non-whites threatens the prospects of the vast majority of them. They're reacting accordingly.

To the question "Do you agree or disagree that discrimination against whites has become as big a problem as discrimination against blacks and other minorities?", whites split almost evenly with 48% agreeing and 51% disagreeing. These responses are mostly from millennials, with a dash of the front end of Gen Z thrown in. I suspect that whites currently in junior high and high school will push that "agree" figure over 50% in the coming years, probably drastically so.

Relatedly, while 85% of whites think whites and non-whites "share common problems and can be political allies", just 49% of non-whites think the same.

That's right, a slim majority of non-whites think white and non-whites cannot be political allies. Ekow Yankah is speaking on behalf of huge numbers of non-whites.

Political dissolution now or later, then?

And there’s nothing we can do about it. We’ve already lost, the enemy is unstoppable, and all hope is lost.

Political dissolution now or later, then?

More like never, because that was “settled at Appomattox”. Texas v. White, “more perfect Union”, “one nation… indivisible”, et cetera, et cetera. Once you’re part of USA, you’re part of it forever. Non-violent “political dissolution” has been officially ruled Absolutely Forbidden For All Time. And as for violent political dissolution, what makes you think a second Civil War would go any better than the first? Particularly with the changes in warfare and military technology, and lack of clear geographic lines of division (look at a county-level US political map, for one).

btw, season 1 of Transparent was 70% showbiz-Jewish neurosis, 20% respectable-learned-profession Jewish neurosis (the Tambor and Kathryn Hahn characters), and the remainder was genderbendering as a leitmotif. The really interesting episode had the flashback to the 70s shedding light on transvestite vs. transsexual enmity. I agree, the rest plays functionally indistinguishable from an Alexander Payne or Todd Solondz parody of airhead liberals

Valerie Harper managed to get herself fired off of Valerie, as did Cindy Williams from Laverne & Shirley. In both cases it was because their husbands were troublemakers. In Williams' case, the husband was Bill Hudson, father of Kate.

John Ritter died right in the middle of a show he starred in. They adapted around that and incorporated it in.

The only other similar example I can think of is Larry Hagman dying during the new incarnation of ‘Dallas’. They did incorporate his death into the plot as the character’s death since it was cancer and they had time to have him act in it. But ratings (obviously) fell after he was gone, and the show was cancelled (never to return. ‘Dallas’ without JR Ewing is just not possible).

  51. Two Questions :

    1) What proportion of people are really trans? I doubt it is more than 0.1%. Why are the lefty year-zero people pushing for this normalization when it obviously has no electoral benefit given the small numbers of people who are trans, and the large majority who are revulsed by it? Normalization of homosexuality was bad enough, but ‘trans’ has a far weaker claim from ANY political or social standpoint.

    2) It is amazing that society is pretending that a person’s gender can change. If a person’s chromosomes are XX or XY at birth, they are that forever. There is no technology at present that can change that. Why does the AMA or NIH or comparable government body even allow this snake oil to be sold? Your chromosomes just cannot change. Hell, they can even tell the gender of fossilized dinosaur toes and teeth based on how deep-seated this coding is even in fossilized bones.

I think lawyers should sue the industry that profits from trans ‘treatments’ as selling snake oil. If you were born XX or XY, you always will be under current technology. Bruce Genner is still XY, and Chastity Bono is XX.

I decided to check it out a year ago. I meant to click on Season 1 Episode 1, but actually watched the first episode of season 2 by mistake. I could not believe what I was watching. Thinking that this episode must surely be an outlier, over the next several weeks I watched every episode of the first two seasons. It wasn't an outlier; there was worse stuff in several episodes.

If you've never seen Transparent, there's simply no way to describe just how sick, vile, perverted, and disgusting the show is.

It's about a Jewish family, and it's written and produced by Jews, but a person could be excused for wondering if Transparent isn't the result of some sort of neo-Nazi plot, as it seems deliberately designed to make people hate Jews.

I guess the people that put this stuff out feel like they're so powerful and normal people are so weak that they can just openly rub our faces in this filth now.

BTW, the FT this weekend has a feature of Russia being serious in movie and series production. Apparently they are not following the old Soviet stuff of "be as edgy as you can without Stalin or Brezhnev noticing" since no one got paid. Instead with Putin's support they are trying to both make lots of money and create global soft-power influence by making stuff that appeals to lots of people.

As opposed to movies about a dwarf living under an abandoned train station.

I honestly felt that whoever wrote the Punisher felt a need to stick it to its most probable viewers. It was quite literally bizzaro world where little girls are the best handymen and engineers and tiny muslim women are braver and more skilled drivers than the Punisher himself, the same Punisher that refuses to ever kill any minorities who happen be criminals(but all serious crime is only ever done by whites).

Part of me was hoping that it’ll turn into a hook where Hydra was actually the mercenary agency, etc, but I’ve given up on it now and I highly suspect that I could poop out a better plot than what they’re trying to do.

Hate Word!! “Tranny” is a “Hate Word” and on a college campus, saying “Tranny” will bring the campus police.

As she says these words, a campus police officer stands in the background, the video shows.

... The Canadian Armed Forces is sending two personnel to find possible transgender recruits.

... Transroots Toronto, a group for transgender people of colour, says the job fair is a "racist act".

"Given the ongoing history of military and police violence against trans people, and of police indifference to anti-trans violence generally, having military or police present at an event specifically for TPOC (Trans People of Color) is an inherently violent act," Transroots Toronto wrote on Facebook.

Wouldn’t it be nice if they ever cited some examples? We’re just told that the world is out to murder trans people. At first it was just suggested that random criminals did it. Now we’re told the institutions of the state (The Canadian state no less!) are at it, in 2017!

Though people differ on if transitioning is life-affirming or a kind of delusional self-harm that can’t be undone, they are generally sympathetic to people with sexual dysphoria. You’re telling me the Canadian military and police are physically abusing trans people and or being indifferent to prosecuting those who do and it isn’t a big issue in the media?

Why are the lefty year-zero people pushing for this normalization when it obviously has no electoral benefit given the small numbers of people who are trans, and the large majority who are revulsed by it? Normalization of homosexuality was bad enough, but 'trans' has a far weaker claim from ANY political or social standpoint.

    2) It is amazing that society is pretending that a person's gender can change. If a person's chromosomes are XX or XY at birth, they are that forever.

I think lawyers should sue the industry that profits from trans 'treatments' as selling snake oil. If you were born XX or XY, you always will be under current technology. Bruce Genner is still XY, and Chastity Bono is XX.

I read somewhere recently that the Social Security Administration, which has info on at least 300 million people, has about 30,000 who have changed their sex. That is 1 in 10,000, and yet we have to, once again, rearrange everything for these people who are mentally ill.

  77. We need a Crying Game remake, released under a different name. I imagine enough time has passed that almost no one under 30 has seen the original. If Jaye Davidson fooled people in 1992, I’d love to see the audience reactions if someone like Blaire White played Dil.

She [sic] says the employer subjected her [sic] to “butt pats,” pornography played at loud volumes, and complaints that she [sic] “was useless, could do nothing right.”

When you use female pronouns you are playing into their hands.

Anyway, complaining to your employee that he is useless and could do nothing right isn't harassment per se.

Yes, I know, the female impersonator is really a he not a she. But I had enough to do decoding from the press accounts what the the “sexual harassment” in question actually was to worry about pronouns.

(Actually for all I know the assistant had the surgery and so arguably qualifies as a she. I have no curiosity on that point, I was only curious as to what the allegations were.)

    Always remember:

TRUMP DID CHERNOBYL VIA YOUNG PUTIN TO DEVELOP PRIME GOLFING ESTATE IN PRISTINE ENVIRONMENTS FOR UKRAINIAN OLIGARCHS ONCE RADIOACTIVITY HAS BEEN DECLARED “OVER” COME 2020.

And this is what the “X-Files” tried to tell us!

The Left’s completely deranged. That article doesn’t even make a straightforward accusation of anything. It’s just innuendo.

Best American band in rock and roll history as well.

They were hilariously gauche at the closing of the Fillmore East, telling the crowd to buy their records during their set. They were not Fortunate Sons. But, yes, a great band.

I checked the FCC’s website; I do believe the manager is lying her ass off.

I guess the people that put this stuff out feel like they’re so powerful and normal people are so weak that they can just openly rub our faces in this filth now.

Are they wrong? Because it seems to me that they are that powerful, and we are that weak.

Are they wrong? Because it seems to me that they are that powerful, and we are that weak.

No, they’re not wrong. They’re pretty much exactly right.

Is it worse than the series "Shameless"? I thought it was tv's all-time low. And a British import.

I haven’t seen Shameless, but it’s hard to believe anything could be worse than Transparent. Orange is the New Black is pretty nasty from the handful of episodes I watched, but not like Transparent.

The daughter goes from being a lesbo to picking up two black guys so she can get “spit roasted” back to being a lesbian again. I had never heard the the term “spit roast” used in a sexual context, but it was easy enough to figure out. And in case anyone can’t figure it out, the show graphically depicts her being spit roasted by the two black guys.

    WTF does "God optional" mean?

What is the point in church or synagogue if it's "God optional"?

It allows you to hit up the “spiritual not religious” demographic for money and it gets your name in the progressive papers leading to awards, grants, sinecures and other goodies.

  86. @ben tillman

We need more of this. These ‘scandals’ are more entertaining that the entertainment.

I don't know about that. Arrested Development is absolutely hilarious.

Which is a good of this; we are one step closer to getting season 5.

  87. @Reg Cæsar

In Williams’ case, the husband was Bill Hudson, father of Kate.

What was Bill's role in Cindy's appearance in The First Nudie Musical? She did it as a favor to friends. But she was fully dressed throughout. However, she did have to swear a bit.

    A truly bizarre episode.

Hudson was still married to Goldie Hawn at the time, so I would imagine he had nothing to do with it.

  88. @Father O'Hara
I thought your comment was kind of aiming for a bit of a dramatic denouement there. As I was reading "in William's case, the husband was..." I expected maybe Steven Speilberg!! Or Harvey Weinstein. Or Klaus Barbie. Something like Paul Harvey: "And now you know the rest of the story!" But it was just Bill Hudson. Meh.

Well I think it is interesting that Hudson dumped Goldie Hawn for Cindy Williams.

While it is true you can’t say “cocksucker” on the radio (as per George Carlin) it isn’t illegal per se. Rather it is an FCC violation. You can’t go to jail for it. It isn’t a police matter.

An interesting niche for Russia to exploit would be politically incorrect (by U.S. standards) sci-fi. They could even film some of it in space, since, unlike us, they can still put men in orbit. I'd watch a Russian produced Seveneves.

Having read the FT article I see that sci-fi is a recent focus of the Russian film industry.

"Such were the days, still, hot, heavy, disappearing one by one into the past, as if falling into an abyss for ever open in the wake of the ship; and the ship, lonely under a wisp of smoke, held on her steadfast way black and smouldering in a luminous immensity, as if scorched by a flame flicked at her from a heaven without pity.
The nights descended on her like a benediction."

Is this from Lord Jim ?
