I read the study that Rep. Omar cited. It is a metastudy that only cites one quantitative paper (all others being qualitative interviews) from the early 2000s with an N of 36 which concludes that MTF transgenders, despite being weaker than men, are still stronger than women.

  5. Sen. Gillibrand, running for president, was in a two month “deep depression” and was not just crying, but “bawling” when Trump was elected.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2019/02/12/us/politics/kirsten-gillibrand-president-feminist.html

The morning after the election of Donald J. Trump, Kirsten Gillibrand woke up and began crying. “Bawling,” she corrected herself.

After spending the next two months “deeply depressed,” the junior senator from New York experienced what she called the most inspiring day of her political life: the women’s march. And almost two years to the day after that, Ms. Gillibrand sat in a Manhattan wine bar, holding a glass of pinot noir, and described why she believes the country and the Democratic Party need an unabashedly feminist campaign for president — and why she thinks she’s the candidate to run it.

“You understand, this is my space,” Ms. Gillibrand said, in an interview. “I don’t know if my party will get as far as I will go on a lot of these issues. But I believe in them so strongly.”

    • Replies: @Mr McKenna

What is it with these hysterical females? My sister also was extremely triggered by Trump's election. She described it as the worst time of her life. I thought that was ridiculous enough, but now I know there's an emotionally maladjusted and incontinent female like my sister sitting in the US Senate. What a joke of a country this is. If the Senate men had any balls they would vote to expel her just for admitting to be so emotionally childish. I'm embarrassed for this country.

There are as many genders as there are castes, sub-castes and clans in India. Their intersectionality works in much the same way too.

If not taken to an extreme, it's probably good for them with few downsides.
I believe it's growing as a medical recommendation for post-menopausal women for such reasons (stave off osteoporosis, etc).

    https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/ethics-commissioner-launches-investigation-into-political-interference-allegations-in-snc-lavalin-case

TLDR: SNC-Lavalin is an engineering and construction firm based in Montreal and was once considered one of the top engineering companies in the world.

Its work has included government contracts, mining, transportation and infrastructure.

In 2015, the RCMP charged SNC-Lavalin, along with its international division, with corruption and fraud in relation with their business dealings in LIBYA.

Mounties said officials at the company attempted to bribe several public officials in the country.

SNC-Lavalin attempted to avoid a trial for the criminal charges under a newly passed (LIBERAL) remediation agreement regime.

The remediation regime became law through Bill C-74 in June 2018 and would have imposed a fine in exchange for abandoning court proceedings. It allows corporations to skip a conviction and keep bidding on federal projects.

Federal prosecuters and the People are asking Trudeau why he and his liberals chartered these new laws.

Actually the show found 4.6%, or more likely ~5.5% IMO (see below). Here it is:
    https://i2.wp.com/www.powerlineblog.com/ed-assets/2019/02/Screen-Shot-2019-02-12-at-4.14.58-PM.png

Not sure which DNA test PBS is using, but all the tests are pretty accurate here by the late 2010s at the macro-racial level (e.g., Amerind vs. European), unlike the famously wrong 2009 estimate that Larry David was 37% Amerindian, and unlike the highly-inaccurate, likely-bad-faith DNA 'estimate' that James Watson was 16% "African" that came out around the time of his first Watsoning in 2007 (on which, see Steve Sailer's post from Dec. 2007).

    Marco Rubio's Tested Racial Ancestry
    -- 92.4% European (+0.2% North African)
    -- 4.6% Amerindian
    -- 1.6% Subsaharan
    -- 1.2% "Unmatched"

I would suggest the Unmatched portion is largely, maybe even entirely, archaic Caribbean Amerindian. Sample sizes of Whites are so comprehensive that it seems rare these days to miss European ancestry.

If this conjecture is right, the all-recent-Cuban-ancestry Marco Rubio is 5.5% Amerindian, give or take. (For those who prefer conceptualizing in terms of actual individuals, this is equal to 1/16 of his great-great-grandparents being 88% Amerindian.)

It's embarrassing to watch a woman think she has a chance.

If you don't know that men are innately far stronger than women, you need to join some serious contact sports and lift heavy.

TRANSFORMERS was afraid of its time.

It’s like TERMINATOR 2. Apollonian Original Terminator vs Mercurial or Mercurian T-1ooo that can become anything. Even though men still cannot turn into ‘women'(despite PC fantasy) in the material-physical sense, we’ve been led to believe such is possible in the mental sense. This is crucial because our ideals drive our technology. Before mankind could fly, it dreamed of flight, to be like birds. And so, men eventually learned to fly.

If human ideal is for mankind to transform into whatever it wants, technology will be driven in that direction. So far, it’s crude with scalpel and surgery. But once the DNA code is cracked and can be toyed with, we may see a future where a man can insist that he be genetically recoded to be a woman.. or who knows what.

  37. All this intersectionality amongst the coalition of the fringes is really hard to keep up with.

For example, Ilhan Omar has been called out for her recent spate of anti-Semitic tweets, but was defended by Tamika Mallory, the African American lady who started the Women’s March, I think.

But weren’t Ilhan Omar’s ancestors slave traders in the East African Muslim slave trade? Didn’t that preceed the Atlantic slave trade by hundreds of years and continue up until the present time?

How many black Bantu slaves did Ilhan Omar’s ancestors remove from their homeland to sell as slaves, or take for themselves?

Ilhan Omar is a member of the Majeerteen clan, which, apparently, is a subclan of the Darod clan. They gained power by taking the land and enslaving some other clans, as far as I can tell.

Ilhan Omar herself ended up in Kenya because the Majeerteen were apparently civil servants under Siad Barre and when he screwed up Somalia so much that people couldn’t take it any longer, the Majeerteen were forced to leave, or something like that.

The Majeerteen must have really screwed the Somalians over too, I suppose, otherwise they wouldn’t have been forced to flee for their lives.

I may not understand much of Somalian history at all, but it seems to me that Ilhan Omar shouldn’t be lecturing Americans on how to run a government, and if she is going to blame white people and Jews for things, she might want also to consider her own family.

And if I were an African American, even one who admired Farrakhan, I would think twice about supporting a Somalian Muslim politician.

Perhaps I missed something in my efforts to keep up with American politics in the current year, so if there are any Somalian readers, maybe they could explain it.

Or maybe any Bantu American readers. But my question to them would be why are you supporting someone from a family that enslaved your ancestors for a millenium?

I used to be a fan of the old John C. Dvorak video podcast Cranky Geeks produced by Ziff Davis through 2010. The show featured a rotating motley cast of tech “experts” commenting on Apple, Microsoft, Google and the like. Om Malik made an occasional appearance. Some shows they had a bottle of wine on the table to loosen them up even more.

Dvorak was mostly known as a computer columnist and was a troll extraordinaire. He loved to poke Apple fans.

One of the rotating characters on the show was a guy named Joseph E., a network administrator for a streaming content company who was a 20-something guy from New Jersey with a big nose and a dark five o’clock shadow. He appears in this short-live successor to Cranky Geeks:

I was YouTubing and watching bits and pieces of old Cranky Geeks shows last night when I started to wonder whatever became of the guests? Joseph E. seemed to have been raptured from the planet because there were no references to him post a certain date. But I found an old parody Twitter account by someone who retweeted Joseph E.’s often profane and angry tweets, and I clicked on the account name, and was presented with a Twitter account for a Jolene E.

    Oh.

    This is Jolene E.:

Jolene is a San Francisco trans man (with a “dyke” girlfriend, who herself doesn’t look so girly) who is about as unconvincing as you can get, although “she” has at a minimum had top surgery, since the scars can be seen on topless photos on Instagram.

From the Joseph E. appearances on Cranky Geeks I got no vibe at all that this was someone who felt like a woman inside all “her” life. He was interested in geeky guy stuff, and still is, visually is very male, and still is, is fond of four-letter words and angry statements, and still is. Whatever is going on with transgender guys (and Kevin Mitchell in Innate tiptoes around it a bit without directly addressing it), it’s not “female born in a male body.”

    http://joped.com
https://www.instagram.com/jolene.****/ where the asterisks are e followed by n, then g and o.

As an aside, I wonder how many of the female coders in Google’s diversity report are trans women? I bet that it’s a nontrivial proportion, similar to the percentage of Ivy League black undergraduates who are recent immigrants not descended from American slaves. It’s funny to me that black activists and women cannot complain about interlopers taking up their quotas, for fear of being called out as bigots.

This seems like a perfect way to destroy the waste of time that is women’s athletics. After all, how is it fair that women only have to compete against other women?

Any man who wants to destroy women’s athletics is either borderline homosexual or belongs to a strange religion.

There is no casual women’s athletics without serious women’s athletics. No casual women’s athletics = lots more overweight females.

Trump needs to invoke this heading into 2020. Many of the seats that Republicans lost in the House in November were in suburban areas where the sitting Republicans were of the non-culture war, slightly pro-common sense sort. Their victorious Democrat opponents this time ran against Trump, and this worked with a segment of the more career oriented, social status conscious, but also somewhat family-oriented and non-SJWish women who live in these areas.
But now the trans-agenda will destroy girls sports.

And then they came for girls soccer..

    , @Pericles
Actually, all women I've been around have been monumentally uninterested in serious woman athletes. Including the sporty ones. I haven't met any top-level woman athletes yet, but I would assume that for many of them there is a dad without sons in the background.

If it's for public health and beauty, maybe we instead could just take away the second helping of pie.

    @ S. Anonyia

As I expected, my comment was misinterpreted. I'm fine with women's athletics and I'm fine with women competing against women; my statement about "fairness" was made in the context of today's culture bastardizing the concept of what is fair.

For example, female tennis players bellyaching about not being paid as much as men in major tournaments really bugged me for two main reasons:

    1. Women only play best of three sets, and their matches in general are much shorter in duration. The top female players typically cruise through their early matches and are off the court in less than an hour, while it's not uncommon for top men to face difficult five set matches in the early rounds of tournaments.

    2. Women are, on an absolute basis, inferior players to men. Why should the top female player at Wimbledon earn an order of magnitude more money than the number 200-ranked man who could beat her like a red-headed stepchild if they competed directly?

Of course feminazis and tomboys are furious about these dudes in dresses coming into their sports. Many have protested.

SJWs evenhave a disparaging nickname for feminists who oppose trannies for not being "real" girls: TERFs, which is short for Trans-Exclusive Radical Feminists. That's right, the SJWs have turned on feminazis and lesbians in favor of 'roided-out psychos being the "real" victims.

    Let the battle begin!

This is another piece of evidence supporting Steve’s theory that the rise in trannyism is more than just monkey-see, monkey do and media hype, but partially driven by PED use.

The ultimate example of that has to be Matt (now Janae Marie) Kroczaleski. He was a Marine, then a world class powerlifter, then a bodybuilder, and finally, a women. He also got married and had 3 or 4 kids along the way. Makes a man think twice about the whole TRT thing as he ages.

Sen. Gillibrand, running for president, was in a two month "deep depression" and was not just crying, but "bawling" when Trump was elected.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2019/02/12/us/politics/kirsten-gillibrand-president-feminist.html

    ---

What is it with these hysterical females? My sister also was extremely triggered by Trump’s election. She described it as the worst time of her life. I thought that was ridiculous enough, but now I know there’s an emotionally maladjusted and incontinent female like my sister sitting in the US Senate. What a joke of a country this is. If the Senate men had any balls they would vote to expel her just for admitting to be so emotionally childish. I’m embarrassed for this country.

Do you think there's a market for something in between mini golf and real golf, intermediate in course size and scale, with the funky course features of mini golf?

There's this thing called "Topgolf" which has become popular more recently among younger adults, families, and for business outings. It's basically a casual driving range that serves alcohol and food. A lot of people these days seem to lack the time, attention span away from smartphones, money, interest, etc. to play real golf regularly, but they don't mind casually going to a driving range to drink.

    Darod (Daarood)
    Geri Kombe[24]

In the south central part of Somalia the World Bank shows the following clan tree:[26]
    Darood
    Kablalah
    Koobe
    Kumade
    Isse
    Sade
    Mareehan
    Facaye
    Ortoble

You can see that many Majeerteen were involved in Siad Barre's government:

    Inventors and founders
Osman Yusuf Kenadid, Majerteen, Inventor of the Osmanya Script.
Abdullahi Ahmed Irro, Majeerteen, General in the Somali National Army; founded the National Academy for Strategy
Yasin Haji Osman Sharmarke, Majeerteen, one of the founders of the Somali Youth League and its first leader
Hassan Ali Mire, Majeerteen, first Minister of Education of the Somali Democratic Republic; former Chairman of the Somali Salvation Democratic Front (SSDF)
Haji Bashir Ismail Yusuf, Majeerteen, first President of Somali National Assembly; former Minister of Health and Labor of Somalia (1966–67)

Actually the show found 4.6%, or more likely ~5.5% IMO (see below). Here it is:
Not sure which DNA test PBS is using, but all the tests are pretty accurate here by the late 2010s at the macro-racial level (e.g., Amerind vs. European), unlike the famously wrong 2009 estimate that Larry David was 37% Amerindian, and unlike the highly-inaccurate, likely-bad-faith DNA ‘estimate’ that James Watson was 16% “African” that came out around the time of his first Watsoning in 2007 (on which, see Steve Sailer’s post from Dec. 2007).

    Marco Rubio’s Tested Racial Ancestry
    — 92.4% European (+0.2% North African)
    — 4.6% Amerindian
    — 1.6% Subsaharan
    — 1.2% “Unmatched”

I would suggest the Unmatched portion is largely, maybe even entirely, archaic Caribbean Amerindian. Sample sizes of Whites are so comprehensive that it seems rare these days to miss European ancestry.

If this conjecture is right, the all-recent-Cuban-ancestry Marco Rubio is 5.5% Amerindian, give or take. (For those who prefer conceptualizing in terms of actual individuals, this is equal to 1/16 of his great-great-grandparents being 88% Amerindian.)

All this intersectionality amongst the coalition of the fringes is really hard to keep up with.

For example, Ilhan Omar has been called out for her recent spate of anti-Semitic tweets, but was defended by Tamika Mallory, the African American lady who started the Women's March, I think.

But weren't Ilhan Omar's ancestors slave traders in the East African Muslim slave trade? Didn't that preceed the Atlantic slave trade by hundreds of years and continue up until the present time?

How many black Bantu slaves did Ilhan Omar's ancestors remove from their homeland to sell as slaves, or take for themselves?

Ilhan Omar is a member of the Majeerteen clan, which, apparently, is a subclan of the Darod clan. They gained power by taking the land and enslaving some other clans, as far as I can tell.

Ilhan Omar herself ended up in Kenya because the Majeerteen were apparently civil servants under Siad Barre and when he screwed up Somalia so much that people couldn't take it any longer, the Majeerteen were forced to leave, or something like that.

The Majeerteen must have really screwed the Somalians over too, I suppose, otherwise they wouldn't have been forced to flee for their lives.

I may not understand much of Somalian history at all, but it seems to me that Ilhan Omar shouldn't be lecturing Americans on how to run a government, and if she is going to blame white people and Jews for things, she might want also to consider her own family.

But my question to them would be why are you supporting someone from a family that enslaved your ancestors for a millenium?

wren, “Somalian readers” You too funny.

  89. Mutilating male genitals is not new. The old word for these people is eunuchs. Eunuchs in the Byzantine Empire were on the fast track for bureaucratic advancement because they had no children to pass anything on to, they were single so only half the family entanglements, and they were immune to women. They could devote themselves completely to the state. The contemporary twist is that we have a goofy rationalization to do it. Who knows, if old is new, we might see a new retro wave of iconoclasts just like the Byzantines bent on destroying statues and monuments to civilizations and religions they don’t like. Oh wait, that is already happening. Hmm, at least the Byzantines got a decent wall to keep invaders out. It even had a fancy name, the Theodosian Walls. I wonder if the eunuchs in Byzantium were as obnoxious as the ones we have today?

It is nice to think that this mutilation was an Eastern thing, but they existed in Europe as well. However, there they also removed the penis.

Any man who wants to destroy women’s athletics is either borderline homosexual or belongs to a strange religion.

There is no casual women’s athletics without serious women’s athletics. No casual women’s athletics = lots more overweight females.

Do the women of the pussy hat match look like they’ve spent much time working out to you?

Sports are good for all humans. Balanced people develop the mind and the body.

    • Replies: @stillCARealist
Girls soccer will soon be dominated by boys who think they're girls on the inside. Since real transitioning takes place after puberty, even age 18, the little boys in deep confusion can go play on the girls' teams and score all the goals.

The real girls who try to be boys are going to find themselves completely overwhelmed and frustrated on the soccer field. From years of coaching, what I see is that about 10% of boys, by age 6, are becoming dominant athletes already.

The myth idea that trans women have a direct competitive advantage is not supported

    Sure it is:

Men have an inherent advantage over women
    "Trans women" are mutilated men
Ergo, "trans women" have an inherent advantage.

The burden of proof is therefore on the "trans women" advocates to prove "trans women" don't have an inherent advantage.

The burden of proof is never on the left for anything. You think up is up and white is white? Prove it bigot. Oh btw, all the good arguments are fenced off ahead of time as beyond the pale. Good luck.

I used to be a fan of the old John C. Dvorak video podcast Cranky Geeks produced by Ziff Davis through 2010. The show featured a rotating motley cast of tech "experts" commenting on Apple, Microsoft, Google and the like. Om Malik made an occasional appearance. Some shows they had a bottle of wine on the table to loosen them up even more.

Dvorak was mostly known as a computer columnist and was a troll extraordinaire. He loved to poke Apple fans.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOHzHVF-4Mg

One of the rotating characters on the show was a guy named Joseph E., a network administrator for a streaming content company who was a 20-something guy from New Jersey with a big nose and a dark five o'clock shadow.

But I found an old parody Twitter account by someone who retweeted Joseph E.'s often profane and angry tweets, and I clicked on the account name, and was presented with a Twitter account for a Jolene E.

    Oh.

    This is Jolene E.:

From the Joseph E. appearances on Cranky Geeks I got no vibe at all that this was someone who felt like a woman inside all "her" life. He was interested in geeky guy stuff, and still is, visually is very male, and still is, is fond of four-letter words and angry statements, and still is. Whatever is going on with transgender guys (and Kevin Mitchell in Innate tiptoes around it a bit without directly addressing it), it's not "female born in a male body."

I think it looks really goofy because normally Arabs do a good job with calligraphy. Prior to IX/XI, when Westerners wanted to learn Arabic, it was often because they had caught sight of some nice Arabic calligraphy. Canuckanon summarized:
    https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/ethics-commissioner-launches-investigation-into-political-interference-allegations-in-snc-lavalin-case

Women's powerlifting is a bridge too far IMO. How does that extra muscle tissue affect a woman's hormonal balance and reproductive health?

Exactly. Women shouldn’t be competing in “powerlifting” at all, so a man should win it. In a sane society, the only sports for women would be track, swimming, tennis and gymnastics. I’m on the fence with soccer.

  114. What’s interesting is that the law apparently prevents discrimination against individuals for their gender identity–but the complaint is about “discrimination” based on their biological reality. They aren’t being discriminated against because their gender self-identification is at odds with their biology; they are being discriminated against based on their biology. But society has accepted division of sports into male and female competitors, so there is really no foul in making such a distinction. (I am sure there are a few people against it, but it’s not a very large or vocal minority–except where transgenderism is concerned.)

Maybe the problem is the ambiguity of “gender identity,” which I take, in this context, to mean what gender an individual identifies with, rather than their gender (meaning sex). If you just want to use gender in that sense, you would say “gender.”

Sorry I am rambling rather obviously. Sleep loss and sudafed.

    LMAO.

    Please tell me you're joking.

If a man and a woman are of equal weight, the man always is naturally stronger by far. Girls have tried joining high school male wrestling squads, and everyone wipes the floor with them in their weight classes; men just have more pure strength, speed, and coordination. It's embarrassing to watch a woman think she has a chance.

If you don't know that men are innately far stronger than women, you need to join some serious contact sports and lift heavy.

Testosterone gives males this pound-for-pound strength advantage. Transgendered women have female levels of the hormone.

    • Replies: @reiner Tor
No. The advantage of testosterone is sticky, which is why athletes on steroids keep the advantage long after the steroid use has stopped. In other words, testosterone makes irreversible changes to your body, which points to more competitiveness, aggression and mental toughness in the brain and greater density, strength, speed, power etc. in your muscles, bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, cartilages, etc., also more muscle mass and less adipose tissue. These changes are to an extent permanent: if you were exposed to higher serum T-levels for a few months or years, then e.g. your muscle mass will be - all else being equal - greater for the rest of your life than without that exposure. Same for bone density, cartilage strength, muscle composition (more fast-twitch fibers), etc. etc.

Now males are exposed to higher levels of testosterone already in the womb. It's difficult to imagine how even males on puberty blockers and receiving lots of hormones as teenagers (and with their testicles removed) could not have an advantage over females, including in mental factors like a competitive mindset.

After the womb, male testosterone levels drop to a similar level as in females (though I believe they are still minimally higher even in prepubescent children, at least on average), but in puberty they then get a prolonged period of extremely high serum T-levels. If any male "transitions" after that, he will have an immeasurable advantage over any female.

Which is why we keep seeing these "trans women" dominate lots of women's sports, despite their minuscule numbers.

There is no casual women’s athletics without serious women’s athletics. No casual women’s athletics = lots more overweight females.

Do the women of the pussy hat match look like they’ve spent much time working out to you?

Sports are good for all humans. Balanced people develop the mind and the body.

Actually, all women I’ve been around have been monumentally uninterested in serious woman athletes. Including the sporty ones. I haven’t met any top-level woman athletes yet, but I would assume that for many of them there is a dad without sons in the background.

    WTF?

First of all, you need to educate yourself. Women have naturally lower metabolism and can't really have even a first helping of pie (and remain fit) unless they are living an active lifestyle. It's a lot easier to live an active lifestyle if you find at least one thing that you really enjoy doing throughout the year.

Seriously, this obsession with micromanaging women's lives is really f***ing obnoxious.
  129. @Fun
I'd be interested in the science that demonstrates transgender women don't have a direct advantage in power lifting. Especially if said athlete transitions after puberty.

I read the study that Rep. Omar cited. It is a metastudy that only cites one quantitative paper (all others being qualitative interviews) from the early 2000s with an N of 36 which concludes that MTF transgenders, despite being weaker than men, are still stronger than women.

Women's powerlifting is a bridge too far IMO. How does that extra muscle tissue affect a woman's hormonal balance and reproductive health?

In other words, he’s a white dude.

Girls soccer will soon be dominated by boys who think they’re girls on the inside. Since real transitioning takes place after puberty, even age 18, the little boys in deep confusion can go play on the girls’ teams and score all the goals.

The real girls who try to be boys are going to find themselves completely overwhelmed and frustrated on the soccer field. From years of coaching, what I see is that about 10% of boys, by age 6, are becoming dominant athletes already.

Indeed, and all of that burns calories. Suppose a 5'6" 30 year old weighs 160 pounds and is "active." If that person is male, they can have 2, 951 calories a day without gaining weight. If that person is female, she can have only 2,556 calories. Indeed, if the woman is "active" and the man is only "low active," he can still have over 100 calories more than the woman, without gaining weight.

Now of course, most women are shorter, and most men are taller than 5'6", so the difference in calorie consumption is actually even greater. Now, for some reason, certain reactionary men want to discourage women from getting involved in sports. I can't think of any reason for this attitude other than simple spergy puritanical fanaticism.

As I expected, my comment was misinterpreted. I’m fine with women’s athletics and I’m fine with women competing against women; my statement about “fairness” was made in the context of today’s culture bastardizing the concept of what is fair.

For example, female tennis players bellyaching about not being paid as much as men in major tournaments really bugged me for two main reasons:

    1. Women only play best of three sets, and their matches in general are much shorter in duration. The top female players typically cruise through their early matches and are off the court in less than an hour, while it’s not uncommon for top men to face difficult five set matches in the early rounds of tournaments.

    2. Women are, on an absolute basis, inferior players to men. Why should the top female player at Wimbledon earn an order of magnitude more money than the number 200-ranked man who could beat her like a red-headed stepchild if they competed directly?

    • Replies: @Rosie

As I expected, my comment was misinterpreted.

Not at all. You just didn't say what you now claim you meant. That's not his fault.
    , @EliteCommInc.
My beef with women complaining about pay and Title IX is very simple and it is not anyone's fault.

They don't generate the income streams to get more. Male sports existed as preparation for manhood. That preparation included: a life risk taking not expected or desired from women. For most of US history sport was created to prepare men for life. A life of competition, fair play, courage, for hearth and home. That incentive was part draw among the population to actually view and partake in that process.

The argument that hit the main by the late 1960's about equity really did not meet the standard of fairness as it was male supports that generated the major incomes, via larger draws. That dynamic was developed over several hundred thousand milenia.

    ------------------------------

In that same vein, the idea of manipulating biology so that men can compete in women's sports is just bizarre and I applaud any women who objects. Their objection makes perfect biological sense.

During their ... I mean for part of the civil war, the earlier part when they still had all their territory and there was a dictator in power, people would be stopped at police checkpoints and asked to verbally recite their family trees. A person asked for clan membership could easily lie, but it's much harder to rattle off the wrong cousins. Is a network of police checkpoints using three-ring binders and mandatory surveys to sort through a nation's geneaology the most iSteve thing ever?

The clan structure is so ingrained into Somali life I don’t think we can really fathom it.

I don’t speak Somali obviously but I was reading a little travel guide or cultural primer about Somalia once, it said when a Somali asks “Where are you from?” they’re not exactly asking that so much as “Who are you from?”

It's the floating green hole at Couer Da Lene (sp) in Idaho. They can move the green to different distances each day. You take a motorboat out to the green.

It's a gimmick, but the rest of the course is pretty:

    He went on to say:

In addition to supporting the President’s ban on gender dysphoria in the military, I also support President Trump’s policy of recognizing and enforcing that there are only two biological sexes, male and female.

He is now, obviously, an un-person to the left and Democrats.

If it’s for public health and beauty, maybe we instead could just take away the second helping of pie.

    WTF?

First of all, you need to educate yourself. Women have naturally lower metabolism and can’t really have even a first helping of pie (and remain fit) unless they are living an active lifestyle. It’s a lot easier to live an active lifestyle if you find at least one thing that you really enjoy doing throughout the year.

Seriously, this obsession with micromanaging women’s lives is really f***ing obnoxious.

  153. @Spud Boy

As I expected, my comment was misinterpreted.

Not at all. You just didn’t say what you now claim you meant. That’s not his fault.

  154. @stillCARealist
it sets you apart from other females in a unique way.

Also, if you're naturally a big, strong woman, without a lot of coordination, it's sort a perfect fit. I know a few women into it (amateur level) and they are monsters. They will never have the vision of themselves as a thin and pretty model... that absurd fantasy of most young women that keeps them dieting unsuccessfully and shopping for 30 years.

it sets you apart from other females in a unique way.

Hmmm. Maybe you’re right. Sometimes I suspect that certain people take a perverse pleasure in violating gender expectations just because they can, whether they particularly enjoy the unconventional activity or not.

  155. @reiner Tor

Which is why we keep seeing these "trans women" dominate lots of women's sports, despite their minuscule numbers.

also more muscle mass and less adipose tissue. These changes are to an extent permanent: if you were exposed to higher serum T-levels for a few months or years, then e.g. your muscle mass will be – all else being equal – greater for the rest of your life than without that exposure. Same for bone density, cartilage strength, muscle composition (more fast-twitch fibers), etc. etc.

Indeed, and all of that burns calories. Suppose a 5’6″ 30 year old weighs 160 pounds and is “active.” If that person is male, they can have 2, 951 calories a day without gaining weight. If that person is female, she can have only 2,556 calories. Indeed, if the woman is “active” and the man is only “low active,” he can still have over 100 calories more than the woman, without gaining weight.

Now of course, most women are shorter, and most men are taller than 5’6″, so the difference in calorie consumption is actually even greater. Now, for some reason, certain reactionary men want to discourage women from getting involved in sports. I can’t think of any reason for this attitude other than simple spergy puritanical fanaticism.

My beef with women complaining about pay and Title IX is very simple and it is not anyone’s fault.

They don’t generate the income streams to get more. Male sports existed as preparation for manhood. That preparation included: a life risk taking not expected or desired from women. For most of US history sport was created to prepare men for life. A life of competition, fair play, courage, for hearth and home. That incentive was part draw among the population to actually view and partake in that process.

The argument that hit the main by the late 1960’s about equity really did not meet the standard of fairness as it was male supports that generated the major incomes, via larger draws. That dynamic was developed over several hundred thousand milenia.

    ——————————

In that same vein, the idea of manipulating biology so that men can compete in women’s sports is just bizarre and I applaud any women who objects. Their objection makes perfect biological sense.

Sen. Gillibrand, running for president, was in a two month "deep depression" and was not just crying, but "bawling" when Trump was elected.

Late to the party, but – wow…what an incredibly embarassing admission for somebody seeking a leadership position.

In a sane society, the only sports for women would be track, swimming, tennis and gymnastics. I’m on the fence with soccer.

A lot of girls really love soccer, softball, and volleyball, and it keeps them in great shape. Swimming too. With so many choices, why would someone pick powerlifting? It's just bizarre.

Softball becomes a lesbian hotbed, but many women’s soccer and volleyball players are very attractive.
