Here’s the top story on the BBC, which, last I checked, is in London:

White woman called police on black man in dog row
3 hours ago

A white American woman who called the police after a black man asked her to put her dog on a leash in New York City has been suspended from her job with an investment firm.

This is international news, people!

Shouldn’t America just hurry up and pass a Constitutional Amendment saying no white woman can ever call the cops on a black man? The whole world is watching!

When Marshall McLuhan back in the 60s talked about a “global village,” did he foresee an era when millions of people’s interests would shrink down to trivial personal spats thousands of miles away? Personally, I like big data and don’t like he said-she said arguments, but obviously I’m in a minority.

  1. Meanwhile the Delaware shooting remains a matter of supreme irrelevance at the BBC.

Here's another heinous crime right in Joe Biden's home state. I guess I wouldn't expect him to comment on this one, but the elderly white couple who was murdered in a cold-blooded case of racial terrorism (to use the left/msm's favorite characterization of all white-on-black killings) is something Trump should pound Biden in the face with over and over.

    And not just the BBC.
  2. Meanwhile, the rage of non-Blacks towards Black behavior continues to percolate. This can’t end well, but in the meantime, when I point out that the first two jobs of the Police are 1. Raise revenue and 2. Keep the Races separated, people invariably freak out.

Of course now the Police also have to worry about CoronaBS, a rising tide of burglaries, Food Banks running out, the coming food riots, and so forth. But at least they will manage a dose of Race Realism, the Media, never.

"this woman treat their pets as if they are members of some special victim group"

People, unstable people, treat dogs as if they are people. And these unstable people usually treat the people in their lives like dogs. I heard the interaction between the Dog-Mom and the black birder on the radio. The black birder did not speak like Donell from South Sac; he was very calm and reasonable. It would be safe to assume that when Dog-Mom is at work, or at dinner with her fellow NYC progressives, she spouts the proper dogma. But because the black birder's complaint centered on her very special furry friend who she wuvs so much, she lost it and became unhinged.

Attention single guys: Dog-Moms are certainly just as crazed as the dwindling number of Cat-Ladies. Stay away.
    , @Jack D
There is no question that Karen was wrong but the fact that the guy who called her on her "I'm special so the rules don't apply to me" bullshit was black (even the fact that she mentioned that he was black) should not have sufficed to blow this up into an international incident. Karens will use any ammunition that is at their disposal because to Karens the ends justify the means. Karen was playing the short game and didn't stop to think that in America 2020 mentioning race will cost you your job and your dog (both of which she has apparently lost).

New York is a shitty crowded city filled with entitled people (at times also a wonderful city filled with the self-sacrificing, both at the same time) so shitty unpleasant interactions like this happen all the time between people of all different colors and races and they should be of no interest to anyone except the individuals involved. Nothing happened to anyone here except that words were exchanged (and the guy happened to film them). When these type of interactions happen in the ghetto, they often end in gunfire and despite the fact that death and not just hurt feelings are involved, these stories never get further than the police blotter section of the local news. And august institutions such as the NY Times never deign to mention them at all except in some story pleading for gun control. But because Karen poked at royalty, it's now an international incident. She is guilty of lèse-majesté and must be punished accordingly.

Have you looked at the video?

The stupid mole was fucking near strangling the dog.

If that fits the Yanklish definition of 'dog-mum', it says more about Yanklish than it says about 'dog-mum' types.

The fact that she (supposedly) self-identifies as a 'dog-mum', indicates one thing, and one thing only: as she was typing those words into a text box, she figured they would make people think nice things about her.

Anybody capable of doing that to a pet is not a suitable pet-owner.

The lack of judgement involved calls into question this woman's fitness for any employment involving coherent thinking.

Fortunately there is almost zero chance that she was genuinely a 'portfolio manager' in the pre-credentialism sense of the term (i.e., someone who allocates a large-ish pool of client money across a range of instruments, in a bid to maximise risk-adjusted return).

With job-title credentialism now just getting to ridiculous levels, "Insurance Portfolio Manager" means nothing more cognitively demanding than "Insurance Broker" - in the same way that a 'Residential Property Portfolio Manager' means 'Real Estate Agent'.

The average salary for a "Portfolio Manager" is about $120K in Australia.

That means that a fuckton of people with "Portfolio Manager" in their job title are not managing money - of the 20 or so fund managers I know personally, $120k a month would not get them out of bed; $120k/yr wouldn't cover half the salary of a decent equity analyst.

This woman was almost certainly not managing money; she should have been fired by any firm that witnessed her behaviour, because it shows that she is inherently dishonest, has no self-control, and abuses animals.

‘He Should Not Have Died’: Video Of Fatal Arrest Shows Minneapolis Cop Kneeling On Man’s Neck

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The FBI has been called to investigate after a man died Monday night in south Minneapolis after an encounter with police.

In a statement early Tuesday, police described what happened as a medical incident. However, a video posted on social media shows an officer kneeing a man’s neck to the ground for several minutes. Before he goes unconscious, the man, who is black, repeatedly tells officers he can’t breathe…

At least one protest is planned for Tuesday night at the scene of the incident. It is being organized by a number of local activist groups, including the Minneapolis NAACP, Communities Against Police Brutality, and Black Lives Matter Twin Cities.

The mayor urged protesters to remain mindful of COVID-19 while demonstrating. It was noted that the two officers on the social media video were not wearing face masks during the encounter.

“We cannot ignore the painful reminder, written into our anthem’s third verse, of just how deeply injustice is rooted in the American tradition … Our national freedom song is an ode to slavery,” Carter said.

“This is the American paradox, passed from generation to generation, dating back to the noble group of rich white straight male landowners who embedded into our founding principles a yearning for a set of God-given rights they sought to secure for only themselves,” the mayor added.

There are 4 million white people in London, and the BBC found the one that had a some sort of disagreement with a black person. Nice catch, BBC! Surely, this will spur the remaining 3,999,999 white people into the private self-flagellation sessions that are needed to ensure appropriate conduct.

I had thought BLM was unpersoned after stepping on the third rail of politics (i.e. being seen as pro-Palestinian). Did they somehow manage to rebound from that?
  8. The internet is jumping on this woman—from all sides. Lefties are going for the white-woman-v-black man setup (the filmer/complainer against the woman is supposedly a black male). Non-lefties are focusing on the NY-lefty-who-thinks-her-dog-is more-important-than-people-and-she-can-break-the-rules part. She’s being painted as a Karen who also engages in Munchausen by proxy via her dog (internet posts attributed to her have that dog having a series of bizarre life-threatening accidents one after another).

I really don’t care, I’ve learned some caution in believing everything the internet says about someone based on a 1 minute clip. She looks bad and presumptuous, but I really need a lot more evidence before I start demanding her head be cut off. Entitled dog people are crappy, but I’m not sure this is it.

Also, more up Steve’s alley, the internet also went after Jimmy Fallon last night around the same time for “blackface”, because in 2000 he did an impression on SNL of a black celebrity. Jimmy Fallon, perhaps the least-threatening, most obsequious late night talk show host on the market today!

We really need to accurately define blackface. It’s not portraying someone who is black when you’re white, its a specific caricature of blacks made by whites in minstrel shows that have gone the way of the dodo.

Or not. I don’t care. Fallon’s a lefty, so let them eat their own.

Black women hate Katen's and Becky's within the feminist cabal! Let them have a taste of their own mysandrist medicine! White leftie women have the mistaken belief that they are at the top of the victim food chain, they are not. They are at the bottom.

"I think if I started telling random women in the park to leash their dogs and then started filming, my wife would call my behavior scary and creepy."

No. At the park, I have several times hit (or swung my fist at) other people's dogs and told them to control their fucking animal. Not everyone is in wuv sweet wuv with these filthy, stupid animals. And I am White.
    , @MJMD
I agree. But I'm frustrated to the extent that I can't seem to write off the mob calling this particular woman out.

She was a jerk for taking her dog off-leash in an area where (supposedly) she was not supposed to (I really have no idea what the rules are in this park, for one). He was a jerk and a creep for filming her and for presenting food for the dog to take because it was off-leash, food that for all this woman knew could be poison. So far, so bad. They're both garbage.

But calling the police with the threat (and that's what it was, there's no other way to spin it) that you're going to tell them "an African-American man is threatening my life" takes things to some nuclear level totally unwarranted by the interaction, however trashy. It's frankly psychotic. It doesn't even matter what you may think about the ordinary conduct of police in America, she knew exactly what she was saying.

Or rather, it's psychotic if she actually called the police. The only way it gets downgraded back to just "nasty" again is if she bluffed the 9-11 call without actually dialing out, or dialed a friend instead of the police to have an audio witness.

I'm having a hard time even sustaining my revulsion at the mob for tracking down her employers. This woman is willing to report a racially-charged fabrication of a serious crime to the police for incredibly petty reasons? Honestly, if you were black, would you be comfortable working next to her at the investment bank?

And this is definitely an example of "don't apologize." The only way she could possibly still be "in the right" is if he did actually threaten her before he started filming. If he did, why the hell would she issue an apology?

  12. Am I the only one thinking its funny a woke Karen got hers? As for the BBC may their licensing fees dry up. I’m still irked about black facing Cheddar Man. He’s obviously my ancestor on the Smedley side of my family tree, and not one of them is or was black!

The "light rail" ticket machines offer service in Somali, Hmong, and Spanish. I've never seen anyone use anything but English, though, and always made a point of observing the Somalis. That’s wild, I never knew Wellstone grew up in NoVA. I had assumed he was a native Minnesotan like his fellow Russian Jew, Bob Dylan.

Boomer and Woodstock attendee, E. Michael Jones, has a lot of interesting stuff on Dylan in his book The Jewish Revolutionary Spirit. From page 872:

When Bob Dylan uttered the term, folk music was another word for Jewish cosmopolitanism or deracination. Bob Dylan, according to Bob Spitz, one of his many biographers, "was haunted by his lack of roots." Dylan "claimed little connection to an ancestral bloodline'' and changed his name, settling on the first name of a Welsh poet who died of alcohol poisoning. Dylan says the one thing he "didn't have too much of" was "a concrete identity." So he made one up from snatches of folk songs: "'I'm a rambler-I'm a gambler. I'm a long way from home.' That pretty much summed it Up" is how Dylan described his "concrete identity" or lack thereof in his autobiography. Dylan would claim he was an orphan, and he would deny being Jewish. (At another point, he accused the disapproving mother of a girlfriend of being an "anti-Semite" because she didn't view him as the ideal son-in-law.) There was, of course, a certain amount of irony in this because by the time he arrived in New York City in January of 1961, folk music had become pretty much a Jewish enterprise, certainly in New York City. Bob Dylan was a genius at creating and projecting an image. He was also the quintessential Jewish folk-singer, but that image involved a certain amount of crypsis, lest the idea become a source of mirth rather than mystery. Myth was Dylan's only reality.

(At another point, he accused the disapproving mother of a girlfriend of being an “anti-Semite” because she didn’t view him as the ideal son-in-law.) There was, of course, a certain amount of irony in this because by the time he arrived in New York City in January of 1961, folk music had become pretty much a Jewish enterprise, certainly in New York City. Bob Dylan was a genius at creating and projecting an image. He was also the quintessential Jewish folk-singer, but that image involved a certain amount of crypsis, lest the idea become a source of mirth rather than mystery. Myth was Dylan’s only reality.

Dylan's parents were modestly prosperous, reasonable people who told him they thought he might have a future in music and would support his music career for a certain amount of time but if it didn't take off within that period, he'd have to buckle down and get a real job.

It's a parent's dream that a son would attain greatness in his chosen field (plus prosperity), both of which Dylan has more than achieved.

The St. Paul, Minnesota mayor has already chimed in:

Note: Melvin Carter is the first black mayor of St. Paul, MN. Here’s part of his inaugural speech from 2018:

“We cannot ignore the painful reminder, written into our anthem’s third verse, of just how deeply injustice is rooted in the American tradition … Our national freedom song is an ode to slavery,” Carter said.

“This is the American paradox, passed from generation to generation, dating back to the noble group of rich white straight male landowners who embedded into our founding principles a yearning for a set of God-given rights they sought to secure for only themselves,” the mayor added.

    What're you, high?

You don't walk aggressively towards someone and demand he turn off his camera when threatened.

She declared an "endgame," like many narcissists and sociopaths tend to do, where anything goes to win. It's not a racist issue, it's a dominance game, in which the angry narcissist trying to win will employ any psychological angle that seems promising to them.

Like when Michael Richards lost his shit at the Laugh Factory. His tirade didn't betray his inherent racism. He probably never gave black people much thought his entire life. But he DID know "where to go" to flip his opponen'ts lid, and that's the aim of the narcissist. If he had determined his foe was Irish, he would have used every cheap shot relating to the Irish he could think of. They just happened to be black, so he went off with stupid shit guaranteed to flip them out, and he wins, or so he thought. If it hadn't been recorded and put out on the internet, he WOULD have won.

When a narcissist declares an endgame, nothing is off the table that they think they can get away with. Physical intimidation, lying, cheap shots to flip you out, then denying it all later, or trying to minimize it when they're caught, is how they play. All narcissists think they're better than they are, yet they all pull the same stupid shit, like really mean sheep, who think they're wolves.

You are correct. That was dog abuse, but I get the sense that it was more out of inexperience and exasperation than intentional. Lots of people who shouldn’t own dogs do.

(At another point, he accused the disapproving mother of a girlfriend of being an "anti-Semite" because she didn't view him as the ideal son-in-law.) I usually appreciate your posts Steve, but I think you are missing something here. People like this woman treat their pets as if they are members of some special victim group and will fiercly defend their 'rights' to intrude your space, share their bodily fluids with you or even attack you. Dogs should just be on leases. If you call the cops on someone who points that out, you are trash, period. The rest is secondary.

“this woman treat their pets as if they are members of some special victim group”

But because the black birder’s complaint centered on her very special furry friend who she wuvs so much, she lost it and became unhinged.

In Central Park, where I have spent a whole lot of time over the past 17 years or so, the problem of dog ladies is taken to a whole 'nother level. One moment you're walking among the cherry blossoms on a perfect spring morning; the next, your legs have been cut from under you by a careening terrier while its mistress shrieks "PICASSO!!!!" over and over.

This literally happened to me one day maybe a decade ago. The owner sheepishly asked if I was okay, and I said, "Not really." No apology from her, which I thought was a real power move.

  42. A black state representative in Madison is already trying to make it illegal for whites to call the cops on blacks.

    The back story:

When Ms. Stubbs and her mother were out campaigning, they inadvertently parked in front of a drug house. One of the neighbors saw a car parked in front of the drug house, so called the cops. He had no idea who was in the car.,

Ms. Stubbs was irate that the cops demanded proof she was actually there to campaign.

The neighbor tried to contact Ms. Stubbs to apologize, and explained to the press he had called the cops on EVERY car parked there. He had no idea it was black women parked there.

Reporters checked, and found 23 calls to the cops about cars parked in front of that drug house.

Ms. Stubbs still claims it was a purely racially motivated call, and claims he never apologized, although his apology was public.

She is trying to create a $250 fine for calling the cops on a black. The (black) former Madison Police Chief supports her plan.

What's the problem with calling the cops in this situation? I'm not saying a crime was committed, just that there's really no harm in calling them.

Manhattan is the most over policed piece of land in the world; having cops brought into mundane public squabbles and off their asses isn't such a bad thing in this town. It happens all the time.

Even if she was just a little afraid (none of us really know), I don't see the downside. If she overreacted, the cops would certainly not take her side. They'd most likely have de-escalated the situation as soon as they arrived. Believe me, Manhattan cops are used to mediating minor disputes between neurotics. The reality is more Barney Miller, less NYPD Blue.

    https://davidthompson.typepad.com/davidthompson/2020/05/the-lockdown-diaries-6.html#comments

A dog walker and a bird watcher collide.

The initial instinct is to blame the dog walker, and that’s what happened when the video went viral. She was, after all letting the dog off-leash in an area where that’s not allowed and making what appear to be hysterical claims. But is that really all there is to the story?

    https://heavy.com/news/2020/05/christian-cooper-video/

The man apparently plans for and forces these encounters. He lured her dog over with dog treats he carries “just for such intransigence.” He acts like he’s the official leash patrol.

His dad was a civil rights activist and he and his sister seem to be the type who are constantly looking to be offended by White people. He’s a Harvard grad, one of the most privileged people in the country. The woman, too, is wealthy and privileged.

She is now on leave from her job, while the incident is being “investigated” by her employers. Why the hell is it any of their business what happens to her on her own time while she’s walking her dog?

Her dog has been taken away from her: “As of this evening, the owner has voluntarily surrendered the dog in question to our rescue while this matter is being addressed. Our mission remains the health and safety of our rescued dogs. The dog is now in our rescue’s care and he is safe and in good health. We will not be responding to any further inquiries about the situation, either publicly or privately. Thank you for your understanding.”

    “Voluntarily.”

What this is, is the politicization of everything. It can’t just be two people arguing about a dog being off its leash.

A few decades ago, before cell phones and ubiquitous video, Twitter and the internet, they both would have gone their own way, each thinking, “Christ, what an asshole.” And that would have been the end of it, as it should have been.

Does the man have any shame about tearing the woman’s life apart over such a minor incident? Not at all (and neither does her company or the dog rescue agency). Couldn’t the woman have just put her dog on the leash, since she knew she was violating the rules? Was there actually a reason to call the police? We don’t get to see what happened before the video started. We only have the bird watcher’s account. Surely he’s not going to incriminate himself. I know better than to credulously believe one-sided stories on the internet. Sometimes people are jerks to each other. We didn’t used to ruin each others’ lives over it.

As I learned in my Women´s Studies class, the picaresque novel format is a good way to explain and complain about the obstacles of the powerful and unfair in life stopping you from reaching your aspirations.

Meanwhile the Delaware shooting remains a matter of supreme irrelevance at the BBC.

Here’s another heinous crime right in Joe Biden’s home state. I guess I wouldn’t expect him to comment on this one, but the elderly white couple who was murdered in a cold-blooded case of racial terrorism (to use the left/msm’s favorite characterization of all white-on-black killings) is something Trump should pound Biden in the face with over and over.

Trump won in ‘16 in part because blacks didn’t show up to vote. A big part of his re-election strategy leans on making sure they don’t show up to vote this time, either - or maybe even vote for him.
  50. Gee, I wonder if the black guy was surprised by the reaction to his video. I don’t have to remind anyone on this site that the media and the race activists are engaged in a coordinated propaganda campaign. Middle- and aspiring-to-be-upper middle class white women make easy targets (see “white women tears” for further reference). But how is homeboy any different from the white woman in Oakland who called police on a group of blacks BBQ’ing in a restricted area? Undoubtedly, had the races been reversed, the buzzfeedy media headline would be: Walking your dog while black is now a crime!

The video is priceless and she got her just deserts. I’m rooting for the black nerd birdwatcher in this one.

    LOL:

She also returned her dog to the Abandoned Angels Cocker Spaniel Rescue, where she adopted it a few years ago, after allegations that she choked the dog while calling the police.

"The dog is now in our rescue's care and he is safe and in good health," the organisation wrote on Facebook.

The above is no exaggeration; the poor dog was yelping in pain as she repeated hoisted it and jerked it by its collar.

So: Entitled scofflaw huffery, cruelty to animals, making a false police call with threatening intent… she better blame it on Asperger’s or something. Total idiotic meltdown.

She looks and sounds scared. She grabbed the dog by the collar instead of taking the time to put it on a leash. Grabbing the collar was controlling her dog as she should have done by keeping it on a leash.

Does anyone know how this became public? Did the police actually arrive? How does the activist black know her name?

Usually when police are called because of a black White confrontation the White is assumed to be in the wrong unless the White has visible injuries or has been raped or robbed. Even then it’s “ she wanted it” or “ I just asked him to borrow some money”

That quaver in the voice is very typical in the woke, female, millennial.

and she appears in the video to be committing at least one misdemeanor by making a nonsense call to the police.

A misdemeanor crime that is almost never prosecuted. For various reasons.

I’d wager that she’s on leave at Franklin Templeton while management figures out if she behaves like a nut to her staff or to clients.

At this point she could be an exemplary employee and it won't matter. The Twitter lynch mob will have its pound of flesh. It's so much more efficient than that old fashioned "trial" stuff.

A misdemeanor crime that is almost never prosecuted. For various reasons.

Misdemeanors are prosecuted all the time, a six digit quantum in New York every year. That’s one of the functions of municipal courts. There are about 180 municipal court judges in New York City. They aren’t all doing small claims and landlord-tenant disputes 24/7.

He is not saying "misdemeanors are almost never prosecuted," he's saying "that particular misdemeanor [unjustified 911 call] is almost never prosecuted."

    Reading comprehension, please.

In that particular instance it would be hard to prove it was unjustified, as we don't know what happened before the video started to roll. Huge waste of resources to spend time on it.

The point of that misdemeanor isn't to make people afraid to call 911 in case the incident turns out less dire than they feared. If you are a small woman who actually waits until a large man is actively trying to kill you in Central Park before calling 911, they'll probably just find your body.

I made an unjustified 911 call for fire, once: a flash fire of some flammable fumes/liquid ignited in my basement next to my gas water heater. Flames were about 7 feet high licking the wood ceiling above. Pure stupidity on my part, leaving the cap off the can. I freaked out momentarily and unforgivably didn't have a fire extinquisher handy. By the time the fire department got there, the flames had died down without igniting anything else. I should have taken a deep breath, maybe, and waited before calling. Maybe I should have been prosecuted?

I really, really don’t like that, so I moseyed on over to her and asked her to “please stop doing that.” She didn’t take it well, and accused me of harassment. She then whipped out her phone and started filming me, threatening to call the cops.

I told her to go ahead, and that I could only see this ending in my favor, as the last time a crazy female neighbor got the cops involved in a dispute with me she ended up in the psych ward. That solved the problem, and she has been uncharacteristically quiet since then.

After that little talk I had with her, a couple neighborhood boys who overheard me thanked me for standing up to her. Evidently, she has been terrorizing the little boys in the neighborhood for a long time. Sadly, she has a young daughter. I hope the girl is OK.

What’s the problem with calling the cops in this situation? I’m not saying a crime was committed, just that there’s really no harm in calling them.

Manhattan is the most over policed piece of land in the world; having cops brought into mundane public squabbles and off their asses isn’t such a bad thing in this town. It happens all the time.

Even if she was just a little afraid (none of us really know), I don’t see the downside. If she overreacted, the cops would certainly not take her side. They’d most likely have de-escalated the situation as soon as they arrived. Believe me, Manhattan cops are used to mediating minor disputes between neurotics. The reality is more Barney Miller, less NYPD Blue.

  59. Anonymous[390] • Disclaimer says:

From what I understand, she said something to the effect of, “I’m going to call the police and tell them an African-American man is threatening me.”

People have seized upon her explicitly qualifying her statement with “African-American,” claiming that this was a heightened threat against the man since blacks are viewed as violent threats by the police and are thus treated more harshly.

It’s certainly possible that this is what she was doing, that she was basically trying to intimidate him and get him to back off by pointing out to the man that she knows and is willing to exploit the fact that the authorities are less likely to take his side.

However, even if this is indeed what she was doing, it certainly wouldn’t justify the Twitter mob against the woman, nor would it mean that the man was in danger of being killed by the NYPD like people are saying. The main reason blacks get into violent confrontations with the police is because they tend to be violent, confrontational, and uncooperative.

Anyone who has grown up with sisters knows that this sort of behavior by girls where they threaten to tell the authorities with lies or distortions is common (“I’m going to tell mom and dad that you were hitting me!”) and persists in various forms into adulthood, with false rape allegations being among the most egregious.

I usually appreciate your posts Steve, but I think you are missing something here. People like this woman treat their pets as if they are members of some special victim group and will fiercly defend their 'rights' to intrude your space, share their bodily fluids with you or even attack you. Dogs should just be on leases. If you call the cops on someone who points that out, you are trash, period. The rest is secondary.

There is no question that Karen was wrong but the fact that the guy who called her on her “I’m special so the rules don’t apply to me” bullshit was black (even the fact that she mentioned that he was black) should not have sufficed to blow this up into an international incident. Karens will use any ammunition that is at their disposal because to Karens the ends justify the means. Karen was playing the short game and didn’t stop to think that in America 2020 mentioning race will cost you your job and your dog (both of which she has apparently lost).

But because Karen poked at royalty, it’s now an international incident. She is guilty of lèse-majesté and must be punished accordingly.

In Karen’s defense, there was a point in their Mexican standoff where Cooper (who seems like a thoroughly harmless Oreo – perhaps gay?) said “Look, if you’re going to do what you want [not leash your dog], I’m going to do what I want, but you’re not going to like it.” Karen, who didn’t know Cooper from Adam, quite reasonably interpreted this as a threat. (Although the thing she REALLY didn’t like and which prompted her to call the cops was being filmed, which he had every right to do in a public place. )

Apparently the thing that Cooper does (this is not the first time he has encountered dogs running free in this area even though it is posted as prohibited) is to carry dog treats and give them to the dogs. He says that owners don’t like this, which is true because for all they know this strange man is about to poison their dog.

America used to have a happy tension, where we had enough space that people could be who they wanted to be (within reason) and treat everyone they encountered in a live-and-let-live way. But as America (and the world, BTW; approaching 8 billion and rising) fills up with more and more people, this kind of interaction we see now will only multiply, thereby putting pressure on our nominal "leaders" to find a one-size-fits-all policy to maintain control. I don't know what the optimum homo sapiens carrying capacity of America is, or any given metro area is, or indeed the whole world is; but if we keep multiplying as is, we will reach it, then surpass it, and that's when the real fun begins.

This is not a joke. Please read.

Note that I am NOT defending a woman in NYC for a clearly fake 911 phone call. She is the reason why so many of us refuse to just "believe women".

A misdemeanor crime that is almost never prosecuted. For various reasons.

Misdemeanors are prosecuted all the time, a six digit quantum in New York every year. That's one of the functions of municipal courts. There are about 180 municipal court judges in New York City. They aren't all doing small claims and landlord-tenant disputes 24/7.

He is not saying “misdemeanors are almost never prosecuted,” he’s saying “that particular misdemeanor [unjustified 911 call] is almost never prosecuted.”

    Reading comprehension, please.

In that particular instance it would be hard to prove it was unjustified, as we don’t know what happened before the video started to roll. Huge waste of resources to spend time on it.

The point of that misdemeanor isn’t to make people afraid to call 911 in case the incident turns out less dire than they feared. If you are a small woman who actually waits until a large man is actively trying to kill you in Central Park before calling 911, they’ll probably just find your body.

I made an unjustified 911 call for fire, once: a flash fire of some flammable fumes/liquid ignited in my basement next to my gas water heater. Flames were about 7 feet high licking the wood ceiling above. Pure stupidity on my part, leaving the cap off the can. I freaked out momentarily and unforgivably didn’t have a fire extinquisher handy. By the time the fire department got there, the flames had died down without igniting anything else. I should have taken a deep breath, maybe, and waited before calling. Maybe I should have been prosecuted?

When said by a man to a woman and they are the only two people about, it could plausibly seem like an attempt at intimidation. There then was the luring of her dog with biscuits, which is strange behaviour. She was a little scared at one point, him not at all. But then he is a man.

    , @XYZ (no Mr.)
It's interesting to see the bifurcation of views regarding this issue on sites with lots of HBD- believing commenters. Perhaps many believe HBD is correct due to statistical data -- and I do buy that. Perhaps others use it as a scientific veneer for merely being prejudiced.

When I see this Central Park interaction I can tell one individual (the one holding the camera) has much better respect for rules, impulse control, and future time orientation than the individual being filmed.

If given this neutral description with no film and no more information added, I have no doubt most here would have concluded the filmer was white and the rule breaker black.

And yet some rise to defend her. The fact the filmer is a race-baiter who will get some mileage out of this changes nothing. What the entire episode does prove again is that many members of the white coastal elite class are simply hypocritical and worthless. She-Cooper would no doubt piss all over my conservative nationalist views if we worked together, and would no doubt professionally punish me for them if she was my boss. She is not my friend or ally, although we share the same race. I am quite fine with her losing her job: God willing if that only happened to more like her.

Okay, so if I put a collar around your neck and lifted you off your feet with it, would you think it cruel? What if you forgot the safe word, you started yelping, and I kept cranking the pulley? You’d be right back at the pound where I found ya, and I would’ve been arrested had not everyone on the schooner harbor tour clapped and cheered.

That’s a very good way to be bitten by a dog. If you want to control an out-of-control dog safely, you lift it by the hind legs and keep turning.

You’re blowing it way out of proportion.

He is not. If you watch the video carefully, you can see that she didn’t simply yank the dog back once or twice. She lifted the dog’s head by the collar and was dangling it for almost the entire duration of the video. That’s not too different from hanging. Dogs have strong necks, but they can suffer whiplashes and even seizures from impacts and continuous pressures to the necks.
    , @Pericles
As it happens, I was menaced by a vacation neighbor's dog a few days ago. I was coming along a walkway to my apartment with a bag of groceries and the dog and female owner were perhaps 10-20 meters away by the next apartment door. The owner is yakking away on her phone and the dog is, of course, neither leashed nor collared. It immediately started running towards me, but stopped at an attack distance, a meter or so away. Perhaps 15 kilos, looked a bit like a pitbull in the face but probably a bit too small to be one. Growled and showed its teeth, and when I took my eyes off it, sidled up to be ready to nip at my heels. Bad dog. You shouldn't have your dogs think that's a good impromptu idea.

The female owner of course was helpless to do anything, because it didn't listen to her. But in response to her shouting, the male owner appeared and drove the dog back to their apartment with curses, kicks and slaps. It obviously was thinking "wtf man, I totally had him". Profuse apologies, etc.

So nothing bad really happened. But had it attacked, I would have killed it and sued the owners.

I posted about this incident elsewhere:

I was reading David Thompson’s Typepad blog and came across this great example of the politicization of everything.

    https://davidthompson.typepad.com/davidthompson/2020/05/the-lockdown-diaries-6.html#comments

A dog walker and a bird watcher collide.

    https://twitter.com/DamCou/status/1265058522485723139

We don't get to see what happened before the video started. We only have the bird watcher's account. Surely he's not going to incriminate himself. I know better than to credulously believe one-sided stories on the internet. Sometimes people are jerks to each other. We didn’t used to ruin each others’ lives over it.

Thanks for the background. It is amazing how there almost always seems to be more to these whites behaving badly towards blacks stories than is apparent from the news stories.

In Karen's defense, there was a point in their Mexican standoff where Cooper (who seems like a thoroughly harmless Oreo - perhaps gay?) said "Look, if you're going to do what you want [not leash your dog], I'm going to do what I want, but you're not going to like it." Karen, who didn't know Cooper from Adam, quite reasonably interpreted this as a threat. (Although the thing she REALLY didn't like and which prompted her to call the cops was being filmed, which he had every right to do in a public place. )

Apparently the thing that Cooper does (this is not the first time he has encountered dogs running free in this area even though it is posted as prohibited) is to carry dog treats and give them to the dogs. He says that owners don't like this, which is true because for all they know this strange man is about to poison their dog.

Karen was acting like the people who refuse to wear masks. Americans are really not good at following rules if the rules conflict with the stuff that they like to do. Rules are good for other people and for prohibiting things that you don't do anyway, but for special superhero people like each and every American imagines himself (or herself ) to be and concerning things that you like to do, the rules really should not apply.

Karen’s not a public person. Does he really have the right to film her specifically in public rather than as just a person in a crowd??

“ I have the right to do something you don’t like”

coming from a man to a lone woman is a threat. Considering that black and brown men commit 95 percent of murders in NYC it was definitely a threat.

I see THE MEN Of UNZ are as usual siding with a black man against a White Woman.

A black man and a lone woman of any race in a big park with lots of shrubbery. Alert and get out of there.

This is the NYC media the city and her employer, a big financial firm letting Whites know that no matter how liberal they are the city and the media are against them. Look st the exoneration of the Central Park Five for the rape. Regardless of who actually put semen in her, the Five beat her nearly to death.

Re filming a person, well the Michael Brown cop Darren Wilson arrested someone for filming him and there were differing opinions on whether he was within his rights. I agree it is an unfriendly act, and Christian Cooper started it after he got her coming at him by luring her dog with biscuits (not ones he was eating) after a rather menacing statement about doing something she was not going to like.
    -----

Regardless of who actually put semen in her, the Five beat her nearly to death.

"Regardless" makes the assumption the huge amount of semen in her and the murderous shattering of her skull could not both reflection of extreme homicidal sexual arousal in one man. Neurons have a dual role in sexual and aggressive behaviors of male animals.

THERE'S a further, uncomfortable element to the sex and violence neurons in the animals Anderson has studied: In the long term, each behavior reinforces the other. In other words, “animals with sexual experience are more aggressive than those without sexual experience,” says Anderson. He suggests that this tension could relate to maladaptive aggression in humans.

This is a further area for study, as is the question of whether the neurons trigger the motivation to conduct sex or violence, or the actions themselves. In the long-term, Anderson says, “our ability to understand the circuits that underlie natural emotional behaviors” can help shed light on our understanding of human psychiatric disorders.

A sex and violence feedback circuit could lead to extreme violence during the heights of sexual arousal. Reyes is surely a man wired in this maladaptive way.. The Five are just your standard nasty little thugs ganging up to batter non-females (they injured males only) with a length of pipe, but satisfied with knocking them out and robbing them. The Five should not have been compensated to the extent they were, because they brought it on themselves running amok.

The jogger entered through the busiest area well south of the Fives' range that night, and ran north and was assaulted in a very isolated area of the park that was virtually deserted at that time of night, certainly bereft of women. She was astoundingly attractive for a random victim who just ran into them there, (and why would they be there). More likely than not her looks were the reason she was attacked, and such would entail her being followed from close to where she entered to where she was attacked, which is consistent with Reyes's account.

The extreme seriousness of her injuries (folds of her brain mashed flat) were consistent with Reyes established method of operation in rape-murder, but not with the Fives' in beating men and only men that day. With the Five around her, how would she be able to get up and sprint away, as we know she did from the blood pools? Tough kids would have been able to hold that underweight young woman down easily and stun her with a punch or two if necessary. So they would not have needed to start by smashing her skull with a rock so that she was drenched in blood, before having sex with her. Given their age it is uncertain they had ever had sex before, they certainly hadn't done anything that horrific to a woman they planned to then have sex with. Reyes finishing raping her then repeated using a rock on her head seems likelier. The more you look at it the more a lot of little things argue against the Five being in any way involved with what happened to the jogger.

    , @Pericles
Actually I for one agree with you, Alden. It's not so clear there will be peace and smiles when a woman meets a black man in an isolated place. If I were the good ole boy arriving at the scene, I'd tell blekkie to get lost and then Karen to be more careful in the future.

Even worse if this was some sort of BLM staged outrage, as some here seem to be claiming. Is this the case?
  98. @peterike
The woman is trying to apologize, which is doing nothing to help her, of course.

    https://nypost.com/2020/05/26/central-park-karen-says-life-is-being-destroyed-over-viral-video/

The filmer is quite obviously a trouble-maker. He said this:

"Unfortunately we live in an era with things like Ahmaud Arbery, where black men are seen as targets,” he said. “This woman thought she could exploit that to her advantage, and I wasn’t having it.”

He's reveling in it. How long until we see him on The View and Colbert?

It’s interesting to see the bifurcation of views regarding this issue on sites with lots of HBD- believing commenters. Perhaps many believe HBD is correct due to statistical data — and I do buy that.

  99. @peterike
It amazes me that there are still white people who don't understand that calling the police on a black person like that is going to blow back on them in multiple ways. In effect, this woman's life is now ruined, forever. I haven't watched the video so not commenting on either one's behavior. Just wondering how anyone can still be so clueless in The Current Year.

“Just wondering how anyone can still be so clueless in The Current Year.”

“Because all those other people who had their lives ruined were bad people, racists, it was in all the papers and on TV. I’m not like that! I’m a good person! I was just frightened by this aggressive guy filming me! “

Cloudbuster – thanks. It looks as if the guy was looking to create a “racist incident” and was pretty successful.

  100. MJMD says:
    @botazefa
This was covered at length on NBC's Today Show this morning. The woman seemed very frightened.

I think if I started telling random women in the park to leash their dogs and then started filming, my wife would call my behavior scary and creepy.

I agree. But I’m frustrated to the extent that I can’t seem to write off the mob calling this particular woman out.

They’re both garbage.

But calling the police with the threat (and that’s what it was, there’s no other way to spin it) that you’re going to tell them “an African-American man is threatening my life” takes things to some nuclear level totally unwarranted by the interaction, however trashy. It’s frankly psychotic. It doesn’t even matter what you may think about the ordinary conduct of police in America, she knew exactly what she was saying.

Or rather, it’s psychotic if she actually called the police. The only way it gets downgraded back to just “nasty” again is if she bluffed the 9-11 call without actually dialing out, or dialed a friend instead of the police to have an audio witness.

I’m having a hard time even sustaining my revulsion at the mob for tracking down her employers. This woman is willing to report a racially-charged fabrication of a serious crime to the police for incredibly petty reasons? Honestly, if you were black, would you be comfortable working next to her at the investment bank?

And this is definitely an example of “don’t apologize.” The only way she could possibly still be “in the right” is if he did actually threaten her before he started filming. If he did, why the hell would she issue an apology?

I smile every time a white woman is expelled from progressive society, and hope that someday they will all be pariahs like us straight white men. Then they might say "screw it" and start marrying white men, raising white children, and cutting eye-holes in white pillowcases.

Just because you can’t get laid is no reason to hate White women. Given your disdain and hatred of White women who’d marry someone like you?

I see THE MEN OF UNZ hate this White woman as much as they hate Tessa Majors and all the other White women murdered raped beaten and raped by black men in NYC parks and public spaces.

There is a lesson here for everyone. Any time we are in public, we are potentially being videoed. Any where. So if a man makes motions that could be construed one way, but has his phone up obviously videoing, there could be any of several things going on.

Passive-aggressive fight-picking while videoing is already a small thing in some social venues. “Excuse yourself!” in a store doorway, for example, to get someone to react angrily. Edit as needed.

I wonder what sort of birds he watches? Anyone looked at his social media? Most birding people I know are very detailed record keepers.

I just see a scared woman. It may be true that her fear was irrational, but why was this guy confronting her in the first place? Who elected him dog leash shamer of the park?

She looks and sounds scared. She grabbed the dog by the collar instead of taking the time to put it on a leash. Grabbing the collar was controlling her dog as she should have done by keeping it on a leash.

Does anyone know how this became public? Did the police actually arrive? How does the activist black know her name?

Usually when police are called because of a black White confrontation the White is assumed to be in the wrong unless the White has visible injuries or has been raped or robbed. Even then it’s “ she wanted it” or “ I just asked him to borrow some money”

The video maker, "Mean Steve Urkel," uploaded the vid. His sister helped spread it around twitter.

When the police arrived, both parties had left. No police report was filed.

The woman's name was shared by two different professional dog-walkers, who she occasionally hired to walk her dog. They saw the video on the internet, recognized her, and gave up her name to the twitter mob.

And Mean Steve Urkel... was appalled.

The internet is jumping on this woman---from all sides. Lefties are going for the white-woman-v-black man setup (the filmer/complainer against the woman is supposedly a black male). Non-lefties are focusing on the NY-lefty-who-thinks-her-dog-is more-important-than-people-and-she-can-break-the-rules part. She's being painted as a Karen who also engages in Munchausen by proxy via her dog (internet posts attributed to her have that dog having a series of bizarre life-threatening accidents one after another).

I really don't care, I've learned some caution in believing everything the internet says about someone based on a 1 minute clip. She looks bad and presumptuous, but I really need a lot more evidence before I start demanding her head be cut off. Entitled dog people are crappy, but I'm not sure this is it.

Also, more up Steve's alley, the internet also went after Jimmy Fallon last night around the same time for "blackface", because in 2000 he did an impression on SNL of a black celebrity. Jimmy Fallon, perhaps the least-threatening, most obsequious late night talk show host on the market today!

We really need to accurately define blackface. It's not portraying someone who is black when you're white, its a specific caricature of blacks made by whites in minstrel shows that have gone the way of the dodo.

Or not. I don't care. Fallon's a lefty, so let them eat their own.

By the guys own post he seemed to be threatening her dog , but when he first engaged with her she should have just STFU and put the dog on it’s leash . From the way the bitch was treating the poor dog he or she was probably glad to get back to the shelter .

I agree with everything you said. Except the real Karen here is the black dude.

Leash laws in general are necessary for the safety of both the dog and other humans (and other animals) but are especially necessary in the Central Park Ramble which is a special area set aside for birds and plantings that attract birds. It's a very delicate ecosystem that unleashed dogs would quickly destroy. This one Karen's dog wouldn't ruin it but there are literally a million Karens in NY who together would. It's a densely populated place so that they only way you can maintain some semblance of nature in a small patches is to have strict rules for those areas.

But why follow a stupid rule? Isn’t that an action that should be taken? I do all the time.

Karen thought the no-leash law “in the Brambles” was stupid. So do I. The City has more and more stupid rules all the time. I enjoy seeing people violate them as a statement. A statement which eventually may get the rule changed. Or maybe not. But it’s a kind of democracy I would prefer to see more of.

Mr. Birdwatcher was probably gay as you discerned. A Manhattan demo that ironically tends to be more Karenish than all white women put together.

I posted about this incident elsewhere:

I was reading David Thompson’s Typepad blog and came across this great example of the politicization of everything.

    https://davidthompson.typepad.com/davidthompson/2020/05/the-lockdown-diaries-6.html#comments

A dog walker and a bird watcher collide.

    https://twitter.com/DamCou/status/1265058522485723139

We don't get to see what happened before the video started. We only have the bird watcher's account. Surely he's not going to incriminate himself. I know better than to credulously believe one-sided stories on the internet. Sometimes people are jerks to each other. We didn’t used to ruin each others’ lives over it.

There are a lot of very nasty people with Aspergers out there. Aspergers is actually a lot more common than people think. And many of them dream of outwitting people with deceptive videos.

What makes the Amy Cooper incident especially egregious is that she put Christian Cooper at criminal and legal risk by implying that he was threatening her.

Imagine if the cops showed up and Amy Cooper pressed her false charges. Christian Cooper would be looking at a boatload of legal fees to defend himself.

Fortunately, Christian Cooper had his cell phone video capture for his defense.

Amy Cooper deserves everything that she gets for attempting to wreck an innocent man's life out of a self-entitled pique.

and … you know what happened before the video started?

If you do, you know something only two people know.

If you don’t, you are a liar.

on further reflection, "liar" was unnecessarily harsh.

I mean, I have lied a few times in my life - when I was younger, I am sure I lied many times to attractive women in an effort (almost always unsuccessful) "to get laid" (I wonder if people still use that expression) - but I never considered myself a "liar", and I regret suggesting someone else is a "liar" based only on that person's comment on an internet thread about a "viral video".

    • Replies: @Jack D
Yes, what will become of this country if women lose their right to falsely accuse men? Women are the weaker sex but their right to make false accusations is the great equalizer.

Forget about the racial dimension (the "black" guy was a total Oreo). A man politely asked a woman to comply with the law, he asked her to stay away from him and her reaction was to tell him that she was going to falsely accuse him of threatening to KILL HER. " 911 - There's a ... man threatening my life" - those were her exact words, even though he did no such thing. If he had been arrested based upon her false accusations he probably would have lost HIS job so it's only fair that she lose hers.

No one has the right to make false police reports. If women are "bullied" out of their "right" to make false accusations, this is a good thing.
  124. @Malf

Malf, you are correct and I have met some women like this that need a leash and a muzzle.

The black guy in the Central Park video was the Karen, and I applaud him.

The black guy was doing to Karen what Zimmerman was doing to Trayvon, namely acting as as proactive citizen catching a perp in the act.

The rub is that the National Megaphone finds fault with Zimmerman then switches sides and finds fault with Karen. Both Karen and Trayvon were wrong. But Zimmerman and Karenblack were, if technically right, probably looking for a safe harbor type of confrontation.

Not surprising she felt threatened when confronted by the man.

I am not sure what chance white people have when a plurality of their own people are lining up against them. Is there anything a black person could do to a white person that would end up with 80% of black twitter supporting the white person?

This thing about “its not ok for some groups to call the cops on other groups” thing is going to lead to lost lives, if it hasn’t already. But it’s dead white people, so I guess it doesn’t matter.

Whites made a movie exonerating the Central Park Five. They completely ignored the fact that she was beaten from head to toe, literally from head to toe, almost died, was in a coma for 2 weeks and in physical therapy for years. The rape was the least of it. The important thing was they tried to killer and almost succeeded

Whites blamed Kitty Genovese’s neighbors when a black man killed her. Whites defended the blacks who rioted in Los Angeles both the Watts and Rodney King riots.

A White district attorney charged the Duke Lacrosse team men with a non existent Rape. The White Duke university administrators and faculty persecuted the team members

There are more Whites in BLM than blacks and Whites fund and run it.

Whites paid for and organized the destruction of Ferguson Mo after Mike Brown was killed in self defense.

Whites stacked, libeled and vilified a 15 year old White boy waiting for his bus back to Covington Kentucky from a school trip to Washington DC

A White wrote and Whites published To Kill a Mockingbird, a book that convinced Whites that black men don’t really rape White women.

Who’s worse, the blacks that rob assault murder and rape Whites or the Whites who aid abet and encourage blacks to murder rape beat and rob us, their fellow Whites?

At minimum the rest of us have had a historic crying need to separate from these so called 'progressive' Whites and their abiding fetish for sub-Saharan Africans, a fetish which carries with it the seeds of the progressive's own destruction.

It goes back to 1619 Jamestown, Virginia and the Puritan New England slave dealer/owners who would soon be providing their African chattel slave 'product' to the Southerners for lucrative fees, that is, when they weren't acquiring slaves for their own use in the Northeast.

In so doing they showed an utter disregard towards the well being of others; not only to the African slaves naturally, but to their own Anglo-Saxon people, north and south, and ultimately themselves.

Besides a sick and destructive fetish, they also have a terrible financial addiction at its roots, ie anything but anything than pay the prevailing real time local costs of labor to typically their own people.

The British Empire (in conjunction with New England) monetized chattel slavery and it's trade, rather than abolished
it, with the early 19th century introduction of wage slavery via the so called 'cheap labor'/'mass immigration' system. This system, with it's imported wage slaves, not coincidentally closely parallels the chattel slave holding society it evolved from, the 'immigrant' from a financial point of view being the slave for whatever period of time (days, weeks, months, years) he or she is paid significantly below, what was, or, what would of been, the prevailing real time local costs of labor, without the immigrant being present, or, the immigration taking place.

The African fetish and financial addiction to wage slavery in time 'went viral' and infected other Euros who came to North America after the Anglo-Saxons had arrived. ('Got to keep up with the Jones's', or Smiths, rather!)

The progressive fetish now includes other 'poc' as well, and not 'just' Blacks, as seen by Massachusetts senator Elizabeth Warren choosing to launch her 2020 presidential bid from Lawrence 'Immigrant City', Mass. Lawrence is New England's first 'minority majority' city.

Slavery, whether chattel or wage (ie 'cheap labor'), is truly a scourge upon mankind.

It looks as though she didn’t take a minute to put the leash on the dog. So she just grabbed the collar which actually, really truly was controlling her dog.

You and the White woman hating MEN OF UNZ need to realize that any interaction with a black can be mis construed as racism and you can be treated like she.

I’ve found that when blacks start being obnoxious and threatening its best to be confrontational and aggressive right back. They’ve always backed off. Had I been wimpy and acted scared I’d probably have been at least raped perhaps killed by now.

Does anyone know how this became public? Did the police actually arrive? How does the activist black know her name?

The video maker, “Mean Steve Urkel,” uploaded the vid. His sister helped spread it around twitter.

When the police arrived, both parties had left. No police report was filed.

The woman’s name was shared by two different professional dog-walkers, who she occasionally hired to walk her dog. They saw the video on the internet, recognized her, and gave up her name to the twitter mob.

And Mean Steve Urkel… was appalled.

    By his own account:

“if you’re going to do what you want, I’m going to do what I want, but you’re not going to like it.”

When said by a man to a woman and they are the only two people about, it could plausibly seem like an attempt at intimidation. There then was the luring of her dog with biscuits, which is strange behaviour. She was a little scared at one point, him not at all. But then he is a man.

  148. @Jack D

Rules are good for other people and for prohibiting things that you don’t do anyway

The pistol ban is popular in Britain because, besides it being proles disarming toffs (the opposite of America), almost nobody owns one. Maybe one-tenth of one percent. Centuries of minimal crime will do that. (When will the fox infestation of London undo it?)

Almost as stupid as our own experiment with ProtestaProhibition. That failed because a fifth or a quarter or a third or whatever of Americans liked their hooch.

The leash laws are kind of stupid,

#1 they aren't and #2 you don't get to pick and choose which laws you have to obey. If you don't like the law, advocate to change it.

They guy told her that she could let her dog run off leash in a different area just across the street but that wasn't good enough for Karen.

Yes, one can equate maleness with rationality and femaleness with irrationality. That is why white women were denied the vote long after black men had it.

"Yoshi Mishima" sounds like "Yukio Mishima", the Japanese gay fascist right wing bodybuilder writer who has somewhat of a cult following among some right wingers in the West, particularly gay or homoerotic right wing types who are into bodybuilding.

The UK’s Independent newspaper has also latched on to this incident and is using it as ‘a teachable moment’. Their acknowledging Amy Cooper was a ‘liberal’ in good standing, but that this will neither help nor protect her.

What is revealed in this article is simply a barely concealed (and becoming ever less so) ‘progressive’ hatred for just about all Whites, ‘right’ or ‘left’, under cover of the ‘racism’ accusation. This murderous hatred was there all along, but this is not a hatred against ‘just’ Euros, who are presently being targeted, but ultimately the bulk of humanity itself, and the various peoples who constitute it.

Where does the progressive hatred for others come from? Self hatred perhaps?

In time, should Christian Cooper live along enough, the self declared ‘progressives’ will direct their hatred against he and his Black African people as well.

‘Like Saturn, the revolution devours it’s children..’

It looks like Amy Cooper, the white woman in the viral Central Park video, is a liberal. That’s important.

White violence is not the sole domain of Trump supporters, or open white supremacists. White violence is pervasive, spreading everywhere and tainting everything.

Agreed, but what is the relevance here? This woman is no redneck; she's pure good white (or Blue Tribe, to use Scott Alexander's formulation), and the mob took especial glee in her destruction.

I think that middle-class white women might be the most hated class of people in America right now, even more despised than their male counterparts. The venom that these "Karens" and "Beckies" summon up is unlike anything I've seen directed at white men.

Absolutely. And all they will do is prostrate themselves further.

The Brambles was long a place for illicit gay activity in CP. On the Howard Stern Show, George Takei used to talk about all the sex he had in The Brambles as a young man. Maybe our new Tennessee Coates was just out looking for someone he met on Grindr.

Also – we don’t know what was said before the video. Maybe her reference to African- American was a reaction to his pointing out she was White. Who knows?

The UK's Independent newspaper has also latched on to this incident and is using it as 'a teachable moment'. Their acknowledging Amy Cooper was a 'liberal' in good standing, but that this will neither help nor protect her.

What is revealed in this article is simply a barely concealed (and becoming ever less so) 'progressive' hatred for just about all Whites, 'right' or 'left', under cover of the 'racism' accusation. This murderous hatred was there all along, but this is not a hatred against 'just' Euros, who are presently being targeted, but ultimately the bulk of humanity itself, and the various peoples who constitute it.

Where does the progressive hatred for others come from? Self hatred perhaps?

In time, should Christian Cooper live along enough, the self declared 'progressives' will direct their hatred against he and his Black African people as well.

That’s all well and good. But has nothing to do with NYC.

Nothing about NY is orderly and Prussian. It’s almost the exact opposite, which is why the Prussians and Puritans have always hated the place.

Yet as we New Yorkers like to say, that’s why it’s the center of the universe.

Nah, opposite of Prussian is Cairo or Delhi. The New Yorkers with Prussian complexions are generally pretty orderly and that’s the only reason New York ever amounted to anything. And these days plenty of NY neighborhoods are as disorderly as Santo Domingo.

Remove the non-Europeans in your mind’s eye and New York will be as orderly as Leipzig.

Don’t be stupid. I have definitely had to grab an out-of-control dog by the collar and lift its front feet off the ground.

The above is no exaggeration; the poor dog was yelping in pain as she repeated hoisted it and jerked it by its collar.

You are correct. That was dog abuse, but I get the sense that it was more out of inexperience and exasperation than intentional. Lots of people who shouldn’t own dogs do. Most muddle through it, but occasionally something goes wrong and the dogs suffer, or worse, some people get hurt, even killed.

Very interesting that Bird Guy was a comic book writer.

Cooper has written stories for Marvel Comics Presents, which often feature characters such as Ghost Rider and Vengeance

    And there's this:

He has also edited a number of X-Men collections and introduced the first gay male character, Yoshi Mishima, in a Star Trek comic.

    Of course he did.

Ladies and gentlemen, what we have here is the next Tennessee Coates, and the Dog Lady is his version of the Escalator Lady. When is the next round of "genius" awards? If Bird Guy doesn't win one, I'll eat my hat.

He has also edited a number of X-Men collections and introduced the first gay male character, Yoshi Mishima, in a Star Trek comic.

“Yoshi Mishima” sounds like “Yukio Mishima”, the Japanese gay fascist right wing bodybuilder writer who has somewhat of a cult following among some right wingers in the West, particularly gay or homoerotic right wing types who are into bodybuilding.

Incidentally, the Bird Guy himself is gay and he has that middle aged gay bodybuilding guy physique.

Yukio Mishima is obscure enough that you wouldn’t think the average black guy would know about him, but Bird Guy’s background is eclectic enough that he might be familiar with him.

Under US law, we have to sanction every country that illegally develops nukes. For political reasons, these laws have only ever been enforced on DPRK and India.

The acquisition of their submarines was illegal under US, German and possibly even Israeli law.

The point is not to quibble about whether Israel is morally right to have nukes, the point is to illustrate the hypocrisy of those whom want to destroy the 1st and 2nd Amendments of my Constitution.

    , @Kratoklastes

what makes Israel’s nuclear weapons illegal?

They're not, per se. People who use the word 'illegal' to discuss Israel's WMD program, do their side a disservice by enabling hair-splitting pilpul of the type you're engaging in.

The ICJ Advisory Opinion of July 8, 1996 (“Legality of the Threat or Use of Nuclear Weapons”) makes it clear that there is no international law prohibiting the acquisition, development or possession of nuclear weapons. In fact it's clear from this Opinion that even the UNSC lacks clear legal authority to force a nation to stop a nuclear weapons research program.

That which international law does not expressly prohibit (either directly or through obligations caused by a signed, ratified Treaty), it permits. Since the government of Occupied Palestine is not a signatory to the NNPT, it is not bound by that Treaty's prohibition on development etc.

Israel is not a signatory to the non-proliferation treaty.

And here we get to relevant stuff.

    Notably -

     • the Symington Amendment (1976) which added s669 to the Foreign Assistance Act; now S101 of the US Arms Export Control Act ('AECA' - US Code Title 22 Chapter 39);
     • the Glenn Amendment (1977) which added s670 to the Foreign Assistance Act (now S102 of the AECA).

Long story short: these bans the US from allocating funds for economic or military assistance, or furnishing export credits to countries that
     • deliver or receive, acquire or transfer nuclear enrichment technology when they do not comply with IAEA regulations and inspections (s101 AECA); or
     • acquire or transfer nuclear reprocessing technology or explode or transfer a nuclear device (s102 AECA)
        after August 4, 1977

For those sections to be ignored, s101(B) requires that the President certify that it is necessary for the US to continue to give aid or export credits to a nation that should be subject to s101 AECA. That certification must be given to the Speaker of the House, and to the Committee on Foreign Relations of the Senate, and either the House or the Senate can vote it down.

No President since 1977 has done that.

Aug 4 1977 was very specifically chosen to attempt to protect (((YKW))), but (((they))) couldn't help themselves and did something very stupid well after that date. Everyone knows this, but everyone who could do anything about it is already owned.

    .

On this issue - as on many others - it is futile to talk about what is 'illegal', when anybody in a position of power is so abysmally compromised.

The only useful thing to do is to point out that what Saddam Hussein was falsely accused of (having an active WMD program), is being done in the same region... and the people doing it are the largest recipients of US welfare (like their ultra-Whackball fellow-travellers in the US itself).

That is going to cost them a few million.

People do not like it when people who feel threatened are bullied out of their rights to call the police.

Yes, what will become of this country if women lose their right to falsely accuse men? Women are the weaker sex but their right to make false accusations is the great equalizer.

Forget about the racial dimension (the “black” guy was a total Oreo). A man politely asked a woman to comply with the law, he asked her to stay away from him and her reaction was to tell him that she was going to falsely accuse him of threatening to KILL HER. ” 911 – There’s a … man threatening my life” – those were her exact words, even though he did no such thing. If he had been arrested based upon her false accusations he probably would have lost HIS job so it’s only fair that she lose hers.

If there had been an amorous context, he would have to fear any allegation by her, but there is a reason for that privilege because women get taken advantage and assaulted by men relatively often. As Harvey Weinstein's exploits demonstrated, there are many circumstances in which women are scared or too ashamed to make truthful reports to the police about being assaulted.

  180. I thoroughly endorse your points here. The original case was trivial, such as happens every day: that is, two people get into an argument over how to use public space. Because it can be used as a piece of evidence in the New York Times’ ongoing case against white people, it gets played up big in NYT. Also note that the Times is happy to print the pejorative term “karen” when of course it would refuse to print lots of other racial/ethnic tags. Then, because the lefty European newspeople take everything the Times does for gospel, it gets a big play by the BBC. I’m beginning to think the Times is run by crypto-segregationists; they’re sure making a good case for separatism and they’re sure provoking as much racial antagonism as they can.

If Bird Guy doesn't win one, I'll eat my hat.

nonetheless there was something weird about that woman in the video. she’s calling to claim her life’s being threatened but she’s simultaneously advancing on the guy who’s taping the thing. perhaps she was feeling a bit too empowered?

Stay away.

In Central Park, where I have spent a whole lot of time over the past 17 years or so, the problem of dog ladies is taken to a whole ‘nother level. One moment you’re walking among the cherry blossoms on a perfect spring morning; the next, your legs have been cut from under you by a careening terrier while its mistress shrieks “PICASSO!!!!” over and over.

This literally happened to me one day maybe a decade ago. The owner sheepishly asked if I was okay, and I said, “Not really.” No apology from her, which I thought was a real power move.

These women buy their dogs for one reason: their horrid personalities have pushed all the humans out of their lives, and they have no-one left to yell at.

Dogs think they are obeying their master's rules. Tell the woman to be quiet; the dog will desist and turn to look quizzically at his owner. Picasso thinks 'Stop that!' around strange humans means 'good boy'.

It is often obvious to me from how it's only after the owner issues a precautionary Behave! you see the dog begin to bark and act up that Picasso thought the owner meant 'get him'.

  185. @Jack D

America used to have a happy tension, where we had enough space that people could be who they wanted to be (within reason) and treat everyone they encountered in a live-and-let-live way. But as America (and the world, BTW; approaching 8 billion and rising) fills up with more and more people, this kind of interaction we see now will only multiply, thereby putting pressure on our nominal “leaders” to find a one-size-fits-all policy to maintain control. I don’t know what the optimum homo sapiens carrying capacity of America is, or any given metro area is, or indeed the whole world is; but if we keep multiplying as is, we will reach it, then surpass it, and that’s when the real fun begins.

Good! Let the various SJW and victims group factions cannibalize eachother! We obviously can’t defeat them from the outside, let them implode from the inside, same as they have imploded the country from the inside! Their strategic alliances are fraying and this only benefits us! Maybe wacked out feminazi leftie white women will come back into the fold instead of being our enemies! Black women hate Katen’s and Becky’s within the feminist cabal! Let them have a taste of their own mysandrist medicine! White leftie women have the mistaken belief that they are at the top of the victim food chain, they are not. They are at the bottom.

I have walked dogs for approximately a thousand hours.

Never once did someone, among all the dog-dislikers, dare to film me against my will, much less "offer my dog" a possibly poisoned treat while aggressively filming me.

Look, we all know what happened. Some guy with Aspergers likes to target people he thinks are "breaking the law" by letting their dogs run loose in a place where dogs running lose are bad for the microenvironment (I have a strong appreciation for that view of the world, and I actually admire Greta T., not for her intelligence, but for the fact that there is a strong ignorance in almost everybody about the fragility of our biological surroundings).

Your take on it appears to be what used to be called "mood affiliation" ---- for example, when a guy is dumped by a girl with lesbian tendencies, he later is the one guy in a conversation who sneers at girls with lesbian tendencies, even while other people are sort of cool with it.

dare to film me against my will,

    aggressively filming me.

First of all, you have no right not to be filmed in a public place. Nowadays you are being filmed constantly by security cameras. How do you”aggressively” film someone? He was being the opposite of aggressive – he asks her to stay away from him.

Sure people doing illegal stuff don’t like to be filmed. So don’t do illegal stuff in public and no one will film you.

Look st the exoneration of the Central Park Five for the rape. Regardless of who actually put semen in her, the Five beat her nearly to death.

    F’ em all.

Re filming a person, well the Michael Brown cop Darren Wilson arrested someone for filming him and there were differing opinions on whether he was within his rights. —–

Regardless of who actually put semen in her, the Five beat her nearly to death.

“Regardless” makes the assumption the huge amount of semen in her and the murderous shattering of her skull could not both reflection of extreme homicidal sexual arousal in one man. Neurons have a dual role in sexual and aggressive behaviors of male animals.

THERE’S a further, uncomfortable element to the sex and violence neurons in the animals Anderson has studied: In the long term, each behavior reinforces the other.

The jogger entered through the busiest area well south of the Fives’ range that night, and ran north and was assaulted in a very isolated area of the park that was virtually deserted at that time of night, certainly bereft of women. She was astoundingly attractive for a random victim who just ran into them there, (and why would they be there). More likely than not her looks were the reason she was attacked, and such would entail her being followed from close to where she entered to where she was attacked, which is consistent with Reyes’s account.

The extreme seriousness of her injuries (folds of her brain mashed flat) were consistent with Reyes established method of operation in rape-murder, but not with the Fives’ in beating men and only men that day. Given their age it is uncertain they had ever had sex before, they certainly hadn’t done anything that horrific to a woman they planned to then have sex with. Reyes finishing raping her then repeated using a rock on her head seems likelier. The more you look at it the more a lot of little things argue against the Five being in any way involved with what happened to the jogger.

Who’s worse, the blacks that rob assault murder and rape Whites or the Whites who aid abet and encourage blacks to murder rape beat and rob us, their fellow Whites?

At minimum the rest of us have had a historic crying need to separate from these so called ‘progressive’ Whites and their abiding fetish for sub-Saharan Africans, a fetish which carries with it the seeds of the progressive’s own destruction.

It goes back to 1619 Jamestown, Virginia and the Puritan New England slave dealer/owners who would soon be providing their African chattel slave ‘product’ to the Southerners for lucrative fees, that is, when they weren’t acquiring slaves for their own use in the Northeast.

The British Empire (in conjunction with New England) monetized chattel slavery and it’s trade, rather than abolished
it, with the early 19th century introduction of wage slavery via the so called ‘cheap labor’/’mass immigration’ system. This system, with it’s imported wage slaves, not coincidentally closely parallels the chattel slave holding society it evolved from, the ‘immigrant’ from a financial point of view being the slave for whatever period of time (days, weeks, months, years) he or she is paid significantly below, what was, or, what would of been, the prevailing real time local costs of labor, without the immigrant being present, or, the immigration taking place.

The African fetish and financial addiction to wage slavery in time ‘went viral’ and infected other Euros who came to North America after the Anglo-Saxons had arrived. (‘Got to keep up with the Jones’s’, or Smiths, rather!)

The progressive fetish now includes other ‘poc’ as well, and not ‘just’ Blacks, as seen by Massachusetts senator Elizabeth Warren choosing to launch her 2020 presidential bid from Lawrence ‘Immigrant City’, Mass. Lawrence is New England’s first ‘minority majority’ city.

Slavery, whether chattel or wage (ie ‘cheap labor’), is truly a scourge upon mankind.

If it was the Five, these 16 and under youths went from deliberately not hurting women to smashing the skull of one in leaving her drenched in blood, and this was in preparation for having sex with her?

In a prescient New York Review of Books piece of 1991, a year after the various trials of the Central Park Five had ended, Joan Didion dissected serious flaws in the prosecution's case. She is perhaps the greatest living English prose stylist.

Don't be stupid. I have definitely had to grab an out-of-control dog by the collar and lift its front feet off the ground. You're blowing it way out of proportion.

As it happens, I was menaced by a vacation neighbor’s dog a few days ago. Bad dog. You shouldn’t have your dogs think that’s a good impromptu idea.

The female owner of course was helpless to do anything, because it didn’t listen to her. But in response to her shouting, the male owner appeared and drove the dog back to their apartment with curses, kicks and slaps. It obviously was thinking “wtf man, I totally had him”. Profuse apologies, etc.

So nothing bad really happened. But had it attacked, I would have killed it and sued the owners.

Look st the exoneration of the Central Park Five for the rape. Regardless of who actually put semen in her, the Five beat her nearly to death.

    F’ em all.

Actually I for one agree with you, Alden. It’s not so clear there will be peace and smiles when a woman meets a black man in an isolated place. If I were the good ole boy arriving at the scene, I’d tell blekkie to get lost and then Karen to be more careful in the future.

Even worse if this was some sort of BLM staged outrage, as some here seem to be claiming. Is this the case?

I don't wish to link to the New Walter Duranty Times, but a few years ago in 2012 there was an article on the dark side of Central Park's Rambles. We all know what that dark side was and is.

It is quite possible Mr. Cooper was cruising and thus didn't want canines off the leash to cramp his style.

Is 8 AM on a Monday a popular time for cruising?

In ‘01 I was working a night shift in SF, so about 11: p.m. I get off the bus in Marin and begin my 1.8 mile walk home. I’m wearing khakis and a short-sleeved shirt, carrying nothing. I’ve been making this walk almost every night for a year. About halfway, past the Acura dealer and the CHP station, a cop car makes a U-turn and starts following. Then a second car. I continue to an intersection and now there’s a third car. They’re circling me, like piranhas. One cop yells, “Stop and identify yourself.” I tell him no. He says, “just tell us who you are.” I mention something about the Fourth Amendment. He says, “we’ve been having a lot of burglaries in this area,” I respond, “did they get away on foot?” Eventually they give up and I get home undisturbed.

Fast forward 17 years. The California Court of Appeal issues an opinion involving the extradition from Canada of a guy wanted for residential burglary in the same neighborhood in which I was walking. Turns out he did indeed escape the police on foot. It happened in 1999. So they wanted to stop me because they thought I was the guy the’y’d lost two years earlier.

In the UK, I put out a chip pan fire probably saving the house. I was told off by the fire officers for so doing. In the UK you are suppoed to leave it to the professionals. Like guns.

People like this woman treat their pets as if they are members of some special victim group

Have you looked at the video?

The stupid mole was fucking near strangling the dog.

If that fits the Yanklish definition of ‘dog-mum’, it says more about Yanklish than it says about ‘dog-mum’ types.

The fact that she (supposedly) self-identifies as a ‘dog-mum’, indicates one thing, and one thing only: as she was typing those words into a text box, she figured they would make people think nice things about her.

Anybody capable of doing that to a pet is not a suitable pet-owner.

The lack of judgement involved calls into question this woman’s fitness for any employment involving coherent thinking.

Fortunately there is almost zero chance that she was genuinely a ‘portfolio manager’ in the pre-credentialism sense of the term (i.e., someone who allocates a large-ish pool of client money across a range of instruments, in a bid to maximise risk-adjusted return).

With job-title credentialism now just getting to ridiculous levels, “Insurance Portfolio Manager” means nothing more cognitively demanding than “Insurance Broker” – in the same way that a ‘Residential Property Portfolio Manager‘ means ‘Real Estate Agent‘.

The average salary for a “Portfolio Manager” is about $120K in Australia.

That means that a fuckton of people with “Portfolio Manager” in their job title are not managing money – of the 20 or so fund managers I know personally, $120k a month would not get them out of bed; $120k/yr wouldn’t cover half the salary of a decent equity analyst.

This woman was almost certainly not managing money; she should have been fired by any firm that witnessed her behaviour, because it shows that she is inherently dishonest, has no self-control, and abuses animals.

Libtopia Minneapolis-St. Paul is about to get some race realism.

Before he goes unconscious, the man, who is black, repeatedly tells officers he can’t breathe...

It was noted that the two officers on the social media video were not wearing face masks during the encounter.

    https://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2020/05/26/man-dies-after-being-arrested-by-minneapolis-police-fbi-called-to-investigate/

I’m sure the Minneapolis mayor, Jacob Frey (Russian Jew who grew up in Oakton, VA), will have the back of the police.

There are 4 million white people in London, and the BBC found the one that had a some sort of disagreement with a black person. Nice catch, BBC! Surely, this will spur the remaining 3,999,999 white people into the private self-flagellation sessions that are needed to ensure appropriate conduct.

Honest question: what makes Israel’s nuclear weapons illegal? Israel is not a signatory to the non-proliferation treaty.

Is it that they possibly stole the uranium (the Apollo Affair)?

what makes Israel’s nuclear weapons illegal?

They’re not, per se. People who use the word ‘illegal’ to discuss Israel’s WMD program, do their side a disservice by enabling hair-splitting pilpul of the type you’re engaging in.

The ICJ Advisory Opinion of July 8, 1996 (“Legality of the Threat or Use of Nuclear Weapons”) makes it clear that there is no international law prohibiting the acquisition, development or possession of nuclear weapons. In fact it’s clear from this Opinion that even the UNSC lacks clear legal authority to force a nation to stop a nuclear weapons research program.

That which international law does not expressly prohibit (either directly or through obligations caused by a signed, ratified Treaty), it permits. Since the government of Occupied Palestine is not a signatory to the NNPT, it is not bound by that Treaty’s prohibition on development etc.

Israel is not a signatory to the non-proliferation treaty.

And here we get to relevant stuff.

    Notably –

     • the Symington Amendment (1976) which added s669 to the Foreign Assistance Act; now S101 of the US Arms Export Control Act (‘AECA’ – US Code Title 22 Chapter 39);

Aug 4 1977 was very specifically chosen to attempt to protect (((YKW))), but (((they))) couldn’t help themselves and did something very stupid well after that date. Everyone knows this, but everyone who could do anything about it is already owned.

    .

On this issue – as on many others – it is futile to talk about what is ‘illegal’, when anybody in a position of power is so abysmally compromised.

The only useful thing to do is to point out that what Saddam Hussein was falsely accused of (having an active WMD program), is being done in the same region… and the people doing it are the largest recipients of US welfare (like their ultra-Whackball fellow-travellers in the US itself).

The filmer is quite obviously a trouble-maker. He said this:

"Unfortunately we live in an era with things like Ahmaud Arbery, where black men are seen as targets,” he said. “This woman thought she could exploit that to her advantage, and I wasn’t having it.”

Once you choose to enter the grovel dance vortex*, you can never hope to emerge, ever.

In the old days, when you did something foolish, you apologised, and the incident as soon forgotten. Nowdays, you daren’t apologise, because an apology will only ever work against you.

Yet as we New Yorkers like to say, that’s why it’s the center of the universe.

Almost as stupid as our own experiment with ProtestaProhibition. That failed because a fifth or a quarter or a third or whatever of Americans liked their hooch.

The average conservative should be allowed to have an AR-15 and should be allowed to publish conspiracy theories about Joe Scarborough on Silicon platforms.

    Roth doesn't think so.

So it’s not Israel’s nukes that are illegal but US assistance that is illegal because of Israel’s possession of nukes.

He was "bird watching while Black," and she was "Karen-ing while White." You know who wins that match-up every time.

  220. @Cloudbuster
I posted about this incident elsewhere:

I was reading David Thompson’s Typepad blog and came across this great example of the politicization of everything.

    https://davidthompson.typepad.com/davidthompson/2020/05/the-lockdown-diaries-6.html#comments

A dog walker and a bird watcher collide.

    https://twitter.com/DamCou/status/1265058522485723139

We don't get to see what happened before the video started. We only have the bird watcher's account. Surely he's not going to incriminate himself. I know better than to credulously believe one-sided stories on the internet. Sometimes people are jerks to each other. We didn’t used to ruin each others’ lives over it.

Post of the day, thanks. They are both busybodies whose microaggressions are symptoms of our societal decay, but you are absolutely right to analyze it at the next level and refer to it as “politicization of everything.”

  221. @William Badwhite

A person with this disposition never should have made VP/Head of Investment Solutions at any firm.

VP is just a title. In that industry its very common and not particularly high ranking. She was just a mid-level sales hack.

By the way, whatever happened to “we do not comment on personnel matters” and “an investigation is ongoing which will respect the company’s and the employee’s privacy”? In addition to the two principals, the gay man’s sister, the dog walkers who doxxed the neurotic entitled Karen, and the insane media SJWs — I would add virtue-signalling Franklin Templeton as a villain in this story. It’s pretty deranged to gleefully take to Twitter announcing you’ve fired some hapless functionary.

The company called her a racist, which is at least arguable. Does she have a defamation claim? Maybe we will yet add some tort shyster to the cast of deplorables in this story.
