Here’s an idea for a graphical meme that somebody with artistic talent might make something of.

Make a Shepard Fairey-style poster conveying various currents in contemporary mainstream delusions, such as the Statue of Liberty as the Statue of Immigration, sexy hijab fetishism, red-and-blue Obama worship, and Fairey’s original poster of Andre the Giant: “Obey Giant” (which is the name of Fairey’s website).

You’d combine everybody’s Huddled Massesism:

With Fairey’s Sexy Orientalist Hijab Fetishism:

With Fairey’s super-popular Red and Blue Hope and Changeism:

And finally with the caption of Fairey’s 1994 Obey Giantism:

In other words, we should have a picture of a huge red and blue sexy Statue of Liberty wearing a hijab on which would be inscribed “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses,” and the caption would be: “Obey Giant.”

I think that would sum up mainstream thinking about the subtleties of immigration policy as well as possible.

  1. FWIW, the phrase “Obey Giant” and associated image are from 1994; Fairey used another image and phrase back to 1989.

  2. Gah! No, Obey Giant is not Soviet style at all.

The hijab beauty is more like it.

  3. Hey, hey, hey!

    This is country!

  4. Kind of on topic is a recent facebook entry I found from one of the most phony liberals here in the Midwest: psychologist, social justice guru, Buddhist, author and extreme open borders advocate, Mary Pipher.

This week I am in New Mexico for a weeklong retreat at Ghost Ranch. The retreat is facilitated by my hero, Joanna Macy who has been a lifelong environmental activist and Buddhist teacher. This workshop is entitled “Despair and Empowerment in the Age of Trump.” It is designed to help environmentalists deal with our own grief and then organize ourselves for action. I hope it has that effect on me. I am in despair….

It seems to me that “despair” is a significant mark of failure for a Buddhist…and a guru…and a psychologist, at least when the source of that despair is the result of a god damn election in a free and democratic republic. And liberals look to this person for wisdom…sheesh.

What if we could lure all these moonbats to Hawaii to live on Zuckerberg's estate and then discharge Hawaii from the Union? After all, it has only been a state for a few decades. The bats live in paradise, and we are only peripherally affected by their moonbattery.

Too far away? Then let us use Puerto Rico too.

“The idea of the ‘conspiratorial Muslim’ long preceded [Donald Trump],” notes Kevin Schwartz, research fellow at the Library of Congress and former visiting professor at the United States Naval Academy. “It is the outcome of a staggering array of policies and cultural practices, kept alive by a general complex of power, surveillance, entrapment, and Islamophobic think-tanks that have perpetuated, peddled, and promoted its narration.”

Oh sheesh. No, the "idea of the 'conspiratorial Muslim'" is the outcome of actual Muslim conspiracies, such as the ones that knocked down a few buildings in New York 15 years ago, killed 14 people in San Bernardino a little over a year ago, 49 people in Orlando last summer, etc., etc.

By the way, why would a research fellow and visting professor at the Library of Congress and the US Naval Academy be writing this tripe? Talk about another swamp for Trump and the GOP in Congress (if they're inspired to find the stones to do so) to drain.

This entire article is a great example of anti-Western "crank magnetism" works. Anti-western Muslims, and other anti-Western, anti-White ideologies, don't have to stay stuck in their own little "I hate [America, Canada, or Europe]" lanes. They get to cross-pollinate. So it's not just about "combatting Islamophobia," it's also about "colonialism and racism and militarism" everywhere.

  7. That gd image of a woman in bright red lipstick and a friggin American flag hijab triggers me every damn time. Like did Fairey think about what would happen to a woman in such lipstick and such a hijab in an Arab country? Or what the U.S. would be like if hijab wearers and their husbands were in the majority here?

Ugh. I wake up in amazement that these people are decidedly not in charge and shudder to think of what this country will be like in 8 or 12 years when we are another gulp or two further down the PC python’s gullet.

In physics the opposite of resistance is conductance. Its unit is the siemens, which is sometimes represented by an upside-down omega: ℧. It looks like a lucky horseshoe. And what else is the opposite of omega, besides the upside-down ohm symbol? The alpha, aka the God-Emperor.

If you do, make her a transexual giant. Maybe try using the face of famous transexual giant Bruce “Caitlyn” Jenner.

  18. That Hijab pick is actually kind of politically correct. It suggest a kind of enforced Turkish-style moderation, where Burka’s are bad but Hijab’s are okay because they aren’t too extreme and can actually look kind of sexy. Modern liberalism isn’t moderation and compromise, that’s now regarded as fascism, it’s about radical liberal autonomy theory. A truly progressive poster would have a women in a burka holding hands with a blond women in a skimpy bikini.

  24. We The People. If Muslim women are the face of America that means Shepard Fairey is saying America is a Muslim country. So why is pork a part of American cuisine? Why do we currently have an Infidel Non Muslim president in The White House? Why is there a Christmas tree in The White House every year? Why do many American hotels stock the bible in it’s rooms but never the quran?
