  1. His sister’s looking pretty good…

What’s with the fetishization of this chick? She’s not even reasonably attractive “for an Asian”.

Admittedly I’m not attracted to Asians...at all. Spent a year in the Marines between Okinawa, Japan and South Korea and find Asian women to be...weird and not attractive.

Anyway, she’s not even close to being cute let alone hot. Punchable for sure.

She’s quite attractive for the sister of a world leader. What other world leader even has a sister that is still fertile? Have you seen Trump’s sister? If I were in high school, and she was my teacher, I would rank her (Kim Yo-jong) #2 or #3. Probably #2 – at least by that pic.

People keep saying that, but I think she looks like a smug ghoul.

I'm pretty sure Our Man in Pyongyang is deceased, alas. I had assumed the DPRK was too patriarchal/"traditionalist" (ahem) to be open to a female leader, but it seems that one of the last and most prominent Korean leaders (prior to the 1910 Japanese conquest of Korea, that is) was a woman. The Japanese actually assassinated her in 1895, thus indicating she was an obstacle to their ambitions, and is likely well-regarded on both sides of the 38th parallel. So I suspect that makes it far more likely his sister would be accepted as the new supreme leader.

At least have the decency of posting some nice pictures of Kylie, Kendal, or Kim to wash the taste out from having had to gaze upon this dry sour vinegar! Asian fever, me luv u long time, indeed! If THIS is what passes for hotness from the Hermit Kingdom then pickings are really slim over there indeed.

What in the world pray tell IS that anyway?

There was no need for posting such outrageous things on a site such as this.

  5. He is probably alive. He does really look obese and unhealthy but he is only around 35 years old (no one knows his real birthday). And the Western press has a bad record of announcing a dictator’s death. I’m old enough to remember how many times it was announced Brezhnev, Mao or Fidel or some other commie dictator was on his deathbed only to appear quite alive on some news item the next day. When they did really die, this generally took the West by surprise.

    • Replies: @moshe
    @Andy

Hasn't Kim himself been declared "possibly probably dead" 2 or 3 (or 4?) times already?

He may have indeed been in hospital then and dead now but the press isn't be trusted on this or much else. unfortunately nobody holds them accountable when they get things wrong so they really have no motivation to try to get things right.

Regarding this subject though, it's obvious that the rumors are meant to harass these political leaders that they don't like and also to stirred out into the people of that country and possibly lead to some sort of rebellion. it's a tactic of psychological and social Warfare that of course every country uses or would use whenever they wanted to. So it's no surprise that the press would consider himself the fourth estate what do it as well. Regarding Kim jong-un, who knows if it's a good thing? Or for whom?

It is funny though to think of Kim Jung Un harassed. politics aside, I think he kind of deserves it. I would love to watch it, ala, Team America: World Police.

    Three reasons:

    1. They're grading on the curve for political leaders. Politics is Hollywood for ugly people. When females in that world are Hillary Clinton and Angela Merkel, a 5 becomes a 10.

    2. Her youthful appearance. Youth in a woman goes a long way towards attractiveness, especially as men get older. An average man her age might consider her nothing special in the looks department, but an average man twenty years older would be much more interested in plowing her barren communist plot.

    3. Some of these guys have a fetishization of a Dragon Lady dominatrix-type. The last Pierce Brosnan James Bond movie, Die Another Day, had an extended opening credit sequence where such a North Korean woman tortures Bond for more than a year. The sequence was the best part of that really shi t ty movie, and you got the sense that the filmmakers were more interested in getting that, uh, right than the rest of that garbage film.

I agree, she's nothing special to look at, but she gives off a vibe in her pictures of being aggressive in bed, which is often more fun than a prettier girl who's a dead fish.

    , @J1234
    @ATate

I’m not attracted to Asians…at all.

Not all Asians are created equal...at least in terms of attractiveness. Not going to pretend to be knowledgeable with regards to Asia, but Korea seems to have the most attractive women of the Far East. This is because (in my opinion) they more closely resemble Europeans (north central Europe, or maybe Celtic people) than other people of the Far East. I'm not saying they look like Europeans.

They are followed by the Japanese (some of them are knockouts) and various populations in the Philippines, Thailand and maybe a few (but not many) in China. The rest of Asia I find somewhat unattractive, though not repulsively so. Regardless, I consider the undeniable beauty of some Asian women as something that doesn't belong to me, so I've never been interested in Asian women personally.

I kind of agree with you. She's quite plain for an Asian, even one in her 30's. As for the rest of your comment, it's all down to personal preference I guess. On the one hand you have feminine, slender females with hair only where you'd want it and on the other hand you have aggressive, argumentative manbeasts with lumberjack shoulders and hair everywhere except for the one place it would provide for a nice ornament. It truly is a fantastic world where both species of female have their admirers, and I sincerely and heartily applaud every man who has a preference for the species I'm not fond of and leaves my targets alone!

Hyon Song-wol, who is known for propaganda hits like ‘Excellent Horse-Like Lady,’ was seen this week touring factories with Chairman Kim, the Sunday Times of London reported.

Hyon is the 42-year-old lead singer of Moranbong Band, an all-women group.

She is also a member of the central committee of the ruling Workers’ Party of Korea, which of course is chaired by Kim
Hyon was photographed next to Kim as they visited factories. They were also side-by-side while watching the Mass Games gymnastics performance.

There were reports that in 2013 Kim ordered Hyon’s execution after she allegedly made a sex tape.

Nassim Taleb said in one of his books that a personal doctor can be dangerous. Kim must have several and they all would be likely to err on the side of caution in ordering tests and procedures. making a probability of overtreatment. Also, if he wanted a (possibly cosmetic or fat reduction) procedure done the doctors would not be able to overrule him, and he may have demanded a general anesthetic, which is not something to get without very good reason because some people do not wake up.

North Korea is a crypto-vassal of China that the US would not dare take military action against, and everyone in the power structure owes personal fealty to Yo-jongs family. I doubt there would be much of a change in policy. She certainly is not the type to take initiatives on her own account.

According to Japanese source, the story is that Kim had a heart attack. There was no time to get him to China but a N. Korea heart specialist trained in China was called in to put in a stent. Normally this takes as little as 1 minute but the specialist was very, very nervous because he knew that if he fucked this up he would be executed. Being very, very nervous is not a good thing for a surgeon to be. Apparently it took him 8 minutes and in that time Kim's brain was irreparably damaged and he is in a vegetative state. Chinese specialists have been flown in but there's nothing the can do - the damage is done. Or so they say.

He is probably alive. He does really look obese and unhealthy but he is only around 35 years old (no one knows his real birthday). And the Western press has a bad record of announcing a dictator's death. I'm old enough to remember how many times it was announced Brezhnev, Mao or Fidel or some other commie dictator was on his deathbed only to appear quite alive on some news item the next day. When they did really die, this generally took the West by surprise.

    Replies: @moshe

Hasn’t Kim himself been declared “possibly probably dead” 2 or 3 (or 4?) times already?

He may have indeed been in hospital then and dead now but the press isn’t be trusted on this or much else. unfortunately nobody holds them accountable when they get things wrong so they really have no motivation to try to get things right.

Regarding this subject though, it’s obvious that the rumors are meant to harass these political leaders that they don’t like and also to stirred out into the people of that country and possibly lead to some sort of rebellion. it’s a tactic of psychological and social Warfare that of course every country uses or would use whenever they wanted to. So it’s no surprise that the press would consider himself the fourth estate what do it as well. Regarding Kim jong-un, who knows if it’s a good thing? Or for whom?

It is funny though to think of Kim Jung Un harassed. politics aside, I think he kind of deserves it. I would love to watch it, ala, Team America: World Police.

To me it seems most likely that immediately after the trial and sentencing, Warmbier tried to hang himself, but was cut down and resuscitated, however not before he had suffered bilateral brain damage due to hypoxia.

Now, whether the prison authorities kept this information from the political leadership, I do not know. When you have a setup where people often get sentenced to death at their quarterly job evaluation, they may sometime prevaricate to shed a better light on themselves.

The post-mortem examination stated that his teeth were normal. I don't know how anywone would be able to determine that they had been "rearranged with pliers". Usually movements in the position of teeth would be the result of prolonged pressure.

The parents refused to have an autopsy performed. Without knowing the exact reason, one has to respect their privacy in this matter and accept that they did what they thought was best.

The parents were obviously, and rightfully, incredible distressed and angry when their son was returned in a vegetative state, so I would not take anything they said at the time as objective fact.

Presumably they had also financed the trip to North Korea at their son's request, so that must have weighed very heavily on them too, especially since this tour was advertised as "the tour you mother does not want you to take."

Something that has never really been discussed is how the Koreans knew it was Warmbier who attempted to steal the poster--apparently the video just showed an unidentifiable figure--and what his possible motive might have been. Stating that he was drunk hardly explains anything.

Eyewitness accounts of his arrest at the airport did not say that he expressed surprise or outrage at being tapped on the shoulder and led away by two police officers.

    https://nextshark.com/otto-warmbier-north-korea-z-society/

Interesting article here, especially at the bottom where it is claimed that Warmbier had been in North Korea two times before, which I have never seen reported anywhere else.

My guess was that a despondent Warmbier tried to hang himself. The Nork doctors who intubated him to restore airflow to the lungs probably knocked around a few teeth; tooth damage during intubation is not uncommon even in "modern" "first world" hospitals in the USA.

    Three reasons:

    1. They’re grading on the curve for political leaders.

Apparently it took him 8 minutes and in that time Kim’s brain was irreparably damaged and he is in a vegetative state. Chinese specialists have been flown in but there’s nothing the can do – the damage is done. Or so they say.

That has been said but it's at best wildly misleading. Anesthesia is not death; it's a reversible, medication-driven coma. Under general anesthesia your heart is still beating (except in the very special case of circulatory arrest for certain heart operations), your lungs are still exchanging gases (again except during some portions of some heart operations), you're driven to breathe either by a ventilator or surprisingly often under your own power, the other organs are functioning to some extent (kidneys, liver, adrenals, peripheral nervous system basically intact, less so the GI tract). Your muscles may (or may not) be paralyzed, but it's really only the central nervous system that is necessarily depressed.
The "medically-induced coma" they always mention on the news after major trauma or other medical condition is exactly general anesthesia, except in the ICU instead of the OR.

I’m not attracted to Asians…at all.

Not all Asians are created equal…at least in terms of attractiveness. Not going to pretend to be knowledgeable with regards to Asia, but Korea seems to have the most attractive women of the Far East. This is because (in my opinion) they more closely resemble Europeans (north central Europe, or maybe Celtic people) than other people of the Far East. I’m not saying they look like Europeans.

They are followed by the Japanese (some of them are knockouts) and various populations in the Philippines, Thailand and maybe a few (but not many) in China. The rest of Asia I find somewhat unattractive, though not repulsively so. Regardless, I consider the undeniable beauty of some Asian women as something that doesn’t belong to me, so I’ve never been interested in Asian women personally.

I've spent time in all the countries you've listed and almost nobody who has any experience in the region would say Southeast Asians like Thais and Pinays can hold a candle to any of the Northeast Asians, Chinese included. Furthermore, while many would agree that Koreans are the cream of the crop, nobody would suggest it's because there is any resemblance to Europeans. If anything, Koreans are the epitome of the wide faced Mongoloid phenotype.

But this just took me completely aback:

Regardless, I consider the undeniable beauty of some Asian women as something that doesn’t belong to me, so I’ve never been interested in Asian women personally.

People keep saying that, but I think she looks like a smug ghoul.

I’m pretty sure Our Man in Pyongyang is deceased, alas. I had assumed the DPRK was too patriarchal/”traditionalist” (ahem) to be open to a female leader, but it seems that one of the last and most prominent Korean leaders (prior to the 1910 Japanese conquest of Korea, that is) was a woman. The Japanese actually assassinated her in 1895, thus indicating she was an obstacle to their ambitions, and is likely well-regarded on both sides of the 38th parallel. So I suspect that makes it far more likely his sister would be accepted as the new supreme leader.

    • Replies: @Gimeiyo
    @Servant of Gla'aki

I think the Empress Myeong has been retconned into a hero of Korean history largely due to the need to make Japan the villain. She came from the Min clan. The king's father picked her as his son's consort in the belief that her family was sufficiently insignificant that he could avoid the kind of kleptocratic misgovernment that had plagued Korea earlier in the 19th century. He was mistaken. Through her, many of her kinsmen exercised immense influence in government.

While not quite as comically awful as the Andong Kim clan, who looted the country earlier in the 19th century, they seem to have been pretty bad. In the 1890's, there were a series of massive peasant revolts. Among their objectives? "Kill every member of the Min clan." Even earlier, during the 1882 Imo Incident, protesters forced their way into the royal palace, looking for her so they could kill her for the the Min clan's corruption and oppression. They killed a number of people, but couldn't catch her. For some reason, I thought there was another unsuccessful attempt on her life by revolutionaries shortly before the Eulmi Incident (when she was assassinated by Japanese agents), but I must be confusing the timeframe of the Imo incident.

Anyway, long stort short -- yes, she's viewed as a modernising martyress of Korean history now, but I think her commoner contemporaries had a . . . very different view of her. Not to say her political opponents were any better. Neither she nor anyone else in politics in that era seem to have had either principles or scruples. It was a horrible time in Korean history. I would say it was the worst time in Korean history, except then we had Syngman Rhee and Kim Il-Sung instituting mass purges and executions on a scale that dwarfed all prior purges, like the Sarim literati purges, Six Martyred Ministers or even the 105 Man Incident.

Also, if he wanted a (possibly cosmetic or fat reduction) procedure done the doctors would not be able to overrule him, and he may have demanded a general anesthetic, which is not something to get without very good reason because some people do not wake up.

I've heard it said that anesthesia doesn't "put you to sleep", it kills you..... but only to the point where there remains a reasonable chance of being revived.

    Replies: @bruce county, @Sean, @Pestartzt

That has been said but it’s at best wildly misleading. Anesthesia is not death; it’s a reversible, medication-driven coma. Under general anesthesia your heart is still beating (except in the very special case of circulatory arrest for certain heart operations), your lungs are still exchanging gases (again except during some portions of some heart operations), you’re driven to breathe either by a ventilator or surprisingly often under your own power, the other organs are functioning to some extent (kidneys, liver, adrenals, peripheral nervous system basically intact, less so the GI tract). Your muscles may (or may not) be paralyzed, but it’s really only the central nervous system that is necessarily depressed.
The “medically-induced coma” they always mention on the news after major trauma or other medical condition is exactly general anesthesia, except in the ICU instead of the OR.

So I suspect that makes it far more likely his sister would be accepted as the new supreme leader.

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empress_Myeongseong

    Replies: @Gimeiyo, @jim jones

I think the Empress Myeong has been retconned into a hero of Korean history largely due to the need to make Japan the villain. She came from the Min clan. The king’s father picked her as his son’s consort in the belief that her family was sufficiently insignificant that he could avoid the kind of kleptocratic misgovernment that had plagued Korea earlier in the 19th century. He was mistaken. Through her, many of her kinsmen exercised immense influence in government.

While not quite as comically awful as the Andong Kim clan, who looted the country earlier in the 19th century, they seem to have been pretty bad. In the 1890’s, there were a series of massive peasant revolts. Among their objectives? “Kill every member of the Min clan.” Even earlier, during the 1882 Imo Incident, protesters forced their way into the royal palace, looking for her so they could kill her for the the Min clan’s corruption and oppression. They killed a number of people, but couldn’t catch her. For some reason, I thought there was another unsuccessful attempt on her life by revolutionaries shortly before the Eulmi Incident (when she was assassinated by Japanese agents), but I must be confusing the timeframe of the Imo incident.

Anyway, long stort short — yes, she’s viewed as a modernising martyress of Korean history now, but I think her commoner contemporaries had a . . . very different view of her.

We have two solid points of data about Rocketboy’s condition. One, China sent a team of doctors, which means Rocketboy does indeed have a medical problem, and secondly, if the home team could deal with it, they would not have asked for help. Nork doctors asked for help because it’s beyond them.

It’s possible Rocketboy has Covid-19. People tend to forget that a guy like Fatboy has a lot of servants. He could easily have 200 of them. They would provide everything for him from scheduling, transportation, security, food, lodging arrangements, cleaning, minding his clothes, running errands, buying him trinkets, providing entertainment, moving his favorite pillow around with him, etc., etc.

Each servant could have interactions with at least half a dozen outsiders a day, and what’s more half a dozen different outsiders a day, if Rocketboy’s been travelling around the country. This means there are hundreds of ways Covid-19 could have vectored into the Nork leader. Because of their entourage, elites have a lot of contact points.

Fatboy also has the sort of medical conditions that we see showing up as Covid-19 co-morbidities. He’s obese, and likely has diabetes type 2 and hypertension.

If Nork doctors just copied the fad treatment that other doctors are using around the world for a Covid-19 patient who’s pretty sick and stuck him on a ventilator in a drug-induced coma, this may be why the rumor is going out that he’s ‘vegetative.’ We do know that if you’re in that state, your odds are not good. Maybe not more than 20% chance of survival.

    Replies: @Anonymous (n), @Trinity, @The Germ Theory of Disease

I’ve spent time in all the countries you’ve listed and almost nobody who has any experience in the region would say Southeast Asians like Thais and Pinays can hold a candle to any of the Northeast Asians, Chinese included. Furthermore, while many would agree that Koreans are the cream of the crop, nobody would suggest it’s because there is any resemblance to Europeans. If anything, Koreans are the epitome of the wide faced Mongoloid phenotype.

But this just took me completely aback:

Regardless, I consider the undeniable beauty of some Asian women as something that doesn’t belong to me, so I’ve never been interested in Asian women personally.

Attractiveness is in the eye of the beholder. If the dude isn't into Asians, that's his preference. Also, from a linguistic standpoint, the Korean language shares a faint relation to Finnish. Don't know if that's due to the Mongols conquests into Asia and Eastern Europe many centuries ago or what. And that Japanese women can hold their own vs the Koreans. Just ask them.

Mongolian women are very attractive - at least the ones I've met. Like Koreans but taller. Chinese of Manchurian descent are attractive for similar reasons. Japanese woman often suffer from "daikon legs" - that is stubby legs with thick calves.

When I was in college the Korean-American women I knew were far more enthusiastic about liberal sexual experimentation than Chinese-Americans (who seemed pretty repressed). That may contribute to the Korean reputation for "beauty". Korean men also come off as more masculine than Chinese or Japanese men. Would be interesting to know if Koreans just have higher libidos for some reason. Maybe they are the Persians of East Asia.

"I consider the undeniable beauty of some Asian women as something that doesn’t belong to me...." isn't a statement of unilateral respect (and therefore for subordination to) the other, but of implicit mutual respect, since respect seems to be an important value in some Asian countries, some of which have a history of valuing their ethnic origins. More that that, it's a statement of fidelity to my own. Also, the other-people-mate-with-our-women-so-we should-mate-with-theirs philosophy you seem to adhere to seems to be a pretty strong example of "cucked" in popular usage. Maybe you've corrupted the word to exclude your own behavior? I mean, by your own admission, you have spent a lot of time in Asia.

Anyway, "beauty" (even in women) is something that's aesthetic rather than biologically compelling. A gazelle is beautiful, but I don't want to have sex with it. As to Mongolian women? They aren't attractive at all to me, from the pictures I've seen. They remind me of American Indian women, who some may find attractive in pure form, but I certainly don't.

Our relationship with the Saudis or Pakistanis is a good analogy for the Chinese relationship with the DPRK: they don't like them, but they are stuck with them.

Kim Il Sung (Grandpa) had plenty of fathered children out of wedlock. Many are high ranking official (bastards) in the North Korean military and communist party. It truly is a dynasty. It’s also amazing he lived so long. Both Mao and Chiang Kai-shek contracted many nasty STDs over the years that impacted their respective health.

Hold on. Mao lived to the ripe age of 82, and Chiang made it to the age of 87. Perhaps one should look with some amount of skepticism at studies that make the claims that acquiring most STDs that are non-HIV do in fact directly impact one's personal health by reducing one's life. Observing from the examples of both Mao and Chiang, apparently not sufficiently enough to shorten one's lifespan.

Agreed. I haven't been to Japan but have been to China, Korea, Thailand, and the Philippines. Everybody has their own opinion, but to me the Koreans have the most hotties, hands down. How much of that is due to the prevalence of plastic surgery, I don't know. I'd say they're taller and with a thinner waist than many other asians, which gives them a good head start when it comes to being attractive.

I went for days in Chengdu without seeing a single lady that would be a 9 or 10.

Thailand has lots of pretty ladies as well. Philippines has some, but it's clear to me that's a result of some mixture of Spanish and/or Chinese or Korean genes mixed in. The true natives are not hot.

Korea has a history of wily diplomacy that in the period when China was weak resulted in the other major regional powers unsuccessfully contending over it. World War One had something to do with Korea finally being snatched from the overlordship of China.

    https://www.unz.com/isteve/how-is-north-korean-dictator-kim-jong-un-doing/#comment-3860593

China has sent a team to North Korea including medical experts to check on Kim Jong-un, according to three people familiar with the situation.

The trip by the Chinese doctors and officials comes amid conflicting reports about the health of the North Korean ruler. It was not immediately clear what the trip by the Chinese team signalled in terms of Kim’s health.

A delegation led by a senior member of the Chinese Communist party’s international liaison department left Beijing for North Korea on Thursday, two of the people told Reuters.

He trusts Chinese doctors to be around him, which proves that China stands behind everything Kim does because he knows not to overstep the mark, Historically, Korea has not been a country free to conclude alliances China did not approve of. To Xi, the Kim dynasty is the CCP's boy (or girl), and a cat's paw to be used as a wedge against Trump. North Korea is a vassal state of China that survives as semi independent because that suits China. People who forget that ancient reality suffer the fate of MacArthur.

IMO, White women, particularly brunettes are numero uno, just my taste. Matter of fact the only other type of female that I find attractive is light skinned Hispanics. Of course, there are attractive and not so attractive in every group, but just speaking in general here. Most Oriental women are too petite and not enough curves, and the only thing about them that I find attractive for the most part is their hair, they have the best hair out there I will give them that.

Otto Warmbier 15 years hard labour for an ill and was almost immediately in a vegetative state and died a year later–days after being repatriated. His parents said his front teeth looked like they had been rearranged with pliers. North Korean orthodontics.

I don’t know how anywone would be able to determine that they had been “rearranged with pliers”.

Presumably they had also financed the trip to North Korea at their son’s request, so that must have weighed very heavily on them too, especially since this tour was advertised as “the tour you mother does not want you to take.”

Something that has never really been discussed is how the Koreans knew it was Warmbier who attempted to steal the poster–apparently the video just showed an unidentifiable figure–and what his possible motive might have been. Stating that he was drunk hardly explains anything.

Eyewitness accounts of his arrest at the airport did not say that he expressed surprise or outrage at being tapped on the shoulder and led away by two police officers.

I told her she should have her DNA trademarked, like a fine wine or a reserve coffee blend.

Agreed. I haven’t been to Japan but have been to China, Korea, Thailand, and the Philippines. Everybody has their own opinion, but to me the Koreans have the most hotties, hands down. How much of that is due to the prevalence of plastic surgery, I don’t know. I’d say they’re taller and with a thinner waist than many other asians, which gives them a good head start when it comes to being attractive.

I went for days in Chengdu without seeing a single lady that would be a 9 or 10.

Thailand has lots of pretty ladies as well. Philippines has some, but it’s clear to me that’s a result of some mixture of Spanish and/or Chinese or Korean genes mixed in. The true natives are not hot.

If anything, Koreans are the epitome of the wide faced Mongoloid phenotype.

More that that, it’s a statement of fidelity to my own. “Arctic and Mongol people, generally have the largest crania of any human group. For example, it has been reported that the Mongols have an average cranial volume of 1573 cc…”

This makes Mongols possibly the most “visiospatial intelligence” oriented race. East Asians are already known for having the highest visiospatial scores, but Mongols seem to take that further.”

Okay...that's a nice thought. It's hard to figure out whether or not it's intended as a rebuttal to something I said, though.

BTW, when I mentioned I didn't find Mongolian women attractive, it doesn't mean, "they aren't attractive." It means I don't find them attractive.

The same principle applies to other physical attributes. Something similar for me (though to a lesser degree) would be red hair and freckles. I understand that other men find those things very attractive and I'm not trying to diminish or critique their attraction to those traits.

To Xi, the Kim dynasty is the CCP’s boy (or girl), and a cat’s paw to be used as a wedge against Trump. North Korea is a vassal state of China that survives as semi independent because that suits China. People who forget that ancient reality suffer the fate of MacArthur.

It's the political - not scientific - usage of the word that matters because that's why people commonly use it on essentially political forums like this one. In that context, "cucked" refers to a condition where conservatives (cuckservatives) acquiesce to progressive values. (For many, that would include interracial sex.) If you like screwing Asian chicks, go ahead, but don't try to sell it as some bizarre form of courage (or the disinclination to do so as a moral failing.)

It did not occur to you that Mr. Otto Warmbier's family was a subject of operational game on the part of the faction within the USG which was in the middle of developing and formulating its policy towards NK. It did not occur to you that in the current post 2016 election political climate for every action there is a counteraction which only is amplified by Trump's unsteadiness and inconsistencies. It did not occur to you that at the time of Mr. Otto Warmbier death it was not in the interest of the faction that wanted to pursue the dialog with NK to amplify what happened to Mr. Otto Warmbier, so it is possible that his parents were gently advised to drop the issue and no autopsy was done followed by cremation that made it irreversible It did not occur to you that several months later a different set of friendly advisers got to his family and gently pressured them to get to go to court and get media attention.

I remember reading when after Watergate post resignation Nixon was invited back to China that it was speculated that the Chinese the misunderstood his position because in Chinese culture a leader can be disgraced then be rehabilitated and come back to influence. Yo-jong had been in the doghouse (maybe for telling he sibling to stop eating himself into a laughing stock) and came back.

He was a young man so fracture of that little bone in the neck (Hyiod) that Jeffrey Epstein had would not be expected. Bedsheets are used and they can kill by pressure on the side of the neck while not cutting in like a belt or shoelaces so marks still being visible a year later or hard tissue injuries would not be expected. There is also a technique for committing suicide by deliberately swallowing your tongue that he might have been aware of because nork infiltrators are notorious for using it if captured.

I expect the nork doc was extremely rough as it was an emergency. A North Korean doctor probably does not get experience at intubating a large white man.Damage to teeth is something I asked the junior about in the pro op and was told 'well, it does happen...'; this is routine operations she was referencing. Nork ninjas from a sub kidnapped a number of Japanese students to use in training spies in language and culture and one died on the trip home others were killed for disobedience. The kid maybe thought he was going to be kept for that kind of thing.

Suicide is only a possibility though. They may have been immobilising him as a punishment (being forced to remain silent and still in uncomfortable positions for long periods is the East Asian third degree (typical punishment for unruly inmates in Jap prisons). Assuning he got angry and with him so much bigger that the average north Korean they piled on top of him and and the sheer weight prevented his rib cage expanding, which will stop you breathing just as surely as a rope round the neck. Over the years I have read of the odd shoplifter who died that way under a bunch of people holding them down.

Nork docs probably have little experience with treating the morbidly obese, and the doc can hardly throw his notepad at Kim for ignoring advice. Overeating and massive overtreatment with him having the last word on it is surely a death sentence. The funny thing is there's more fat on a seagull's lip than on sis Yo-jong

The funny thing is there’s more fat on a seagull’s lip than on sis Yo-jong

As far as Warmbier's parents perhaps they knew what they were doing. Apparently you do no need an autopsy to be awarded $500 million court judgment for wrongful death when the cause of death was not determined. NK was not going to challenge the court case anyway.

The repertoire of your eristic devises is not very impressive: (1) "my friend" - patronization, (2) "who you’re siding with" - insinuation, (3) "you’re always slipping up on basic stuff " - patronization+ad hominem.

They give you the injection and tell you to count backwards from ten. Two seconds later the clock is ticking and if the anesthesiologist (who you do not normally see) is too slow intubating you (cannot find the place to get the tube in) you will die. I read about this happening to someone who had had a general anesthetic before and insisted on having it for a routine orthopedic operation. He had a young paki female anesthesiologist; and she didn't get the tube in and he died.

Two days after reading this in the paper it almost happened to me. The anesthesiologist was an older white consultant and came and saw me later to give me a letter for warning I was very difficult to intubate, and maybe curious to see the fellow who almost gave gave him a heart attack. He was a calm silver haired doctor, but looked a little bit shell shocked. If he had been off working on his handicap and someone less experienced was there in his stead, who knows?

So it was something of a surprise to learn, in early February, that Peterson had spent eight days in a medically induced coma at an unnamed clinic in Russia…

This was a rather amazing report that there are Russian doctors supposedly using coma to treat drug addiction. And when I say amazing what I mean is the facts must be a lot different than what they are reporting.
