For some people crime is a life style. Jumping turnstyles, stealing snacks, and even carjacking instead of calling Uber.
Many of these people are protected by ˆminority” privilege. Media must not report their race, name, or even their photo (when they are still in training as minor bandits)
We must expose and oppose such biased reporting and biased punishment. And we should be allowed to live our life far from habitual criminals.
I am sorry, but I read the entire story (so should you). This is just dysfunction piled upon dysfuction. These crimes that we keep seeing are just ‘Wildings’–young blacks just having a lot of fun causing haoc. And I get it, when you”re young and running loose it’s a blast.

The answer to that depends on whether you see blacks as equal to the rest of us and at least potentially capable of behaving well off the leash.
I don't think they are. It is the fault of whites. We need to recognize Jim Crow was essentially about the closest thing to a humane, workable solution to the problem out there and reinstate it.
After all, the alternatives are such murderous propositions as mass deportation or going to the other extreme and the demonstrably unworkable attitude that blacks can be treated like the rest of us can.

There is a common trope now that the current high inflation we have is caused by greedy corporations raising prices. This, of course, is an attempt to deflect the blame from government overspending and money printing. Unfortunately, I think this is going to lead to increased stealing because thieves will justify their activities by saying big greedy corporations are screwing people over. I have known a few criminal types over the years, and they do like to portray themselves as the victim and their predatory behavior to be justified.

… oh yeah. I remember. I got a $32 parking ticket in downtown Seattle, Washington one time. Washington State has these private licensing offices, basically DMV’s with people that aren’t uncaring dumbass AA hires. You can pay for parking tickets there too.
I went to the one in Ballard, but I saw no place to park. They had these really wide sidewalks, like they do in many places in the area, so I wheeled my truck around, and drove up on the sidewalk right up near the door. “Hey, can I get this done quick? I’m in a bad parking spot.”
True story. Smiles all around.

Your story, Steve, and that recent one about the shootings including of the baby, are as authentically black as events can get. Even a Florida Man wouldn’t do this thing, because there’s no widespread Florida Man Community that relishes this lifestyle.
That said, it’d have been better for everyone if one of the carjacking victims instead had been armed with time to plug this guy.

I blame the white liberal power structure, they have lost interest in enforcing laws and norms. This is why, when the reaction finally comes, the main target should be white liberals. After a serious law enforcement system is restored, I expect the blacks will fall in line if they ever again want to live outside of a prison.

I’d like to point out the significance of this sentence. Male offenders tend to chill out at age 29. Standard penal theory tells us to lock youthful shitheads up until that age and then give them one last second chance. If the person is still an antisocial shithead after 29, lock him up for life because it’s unlikely he’ll ever reform.

Like most “modern problems” when you break it down to the core issue, it’s obvious:
There are basically two options for such disparate peoples tossed into the same territory.
1) Separation. Either at the community or preferrable national level.
2) Civilized, productive people enforcing their norms.
Or you could offer a 3rd:
3) Decline.
So who is responsible? It’s the people who have insisted that the civilized and productive people who built America were neither allowed to separate communities, nor to enforce their norms.
And ultimately, of course, it is our fault allowing these people to grab the megaphone and not telling them where to put it. We’re too nice.

These look to be about an age to have either been born here, or have arrived as small children ca. 30 years ago. Most of the chunkier ones in the photo are in American dress. The standard poor man’s diet in the US will blow you up right quick.

As our buddy Steve wrote, a South without slaves might have had textile mills instead of cotton plantations, using cotton from Brazil or some other place. As for the North, it would have concentrated on other industries using materials from the western U.S.

The region was industrially only behind the North and GB at the time, if I remember correctly, but it was developing. Outside of the coastal South, much of the region was recently settled or wilderness by the time of the Civil War.

I think that is what the Commies did somewhere in Eastern Europe when they took power, released prisoners and made them commissars. The criminals would follow all orders as they did not want to return to prison and the criminissars were perfect for terrifying the population.
