What with all the extra murders and traffic fatalities, the “racial reckoning” of the last two years hasn’t done much for average blacks. But for corporate elite blacks it has been a bonanza, with almost one third of all new S&P 500 board of directors members in 2021 being black.

From the Wall Street Journal:

    Not necessarily. Large corporations can afford to carry a fair bit of dead weight. It's the smaller businesses with AA forced upon them that really get shafted.

    I always wanted to start an HBD aware mutual fund, but figure I’d never be able raise the money before getting shut down by wokies.

    Not the same as a WN fund-I would look favorably on large Jewish representation for guessing if a firm is able to make money, for example. Same for Asians.

    One From Fifth Column Artemis And One From Fifth Column B?

    "...$100 million NASA Artemis program..."

    -will assume that was a typo -
    - try 100 billion program cost at 4 billion per launch.
    I was briefly roused from the usual stupor yesterday by those numbers on some gushing tribute given by either a science cable program or (gasp) CNN. More pressing domestic needs include walling off and mining our southern border, deporting about 100 million non-White anti-Whites and executing, oh, maybe 20 to 40 million auto-genocidal Sonderkommando whites. Yeah, the last couple would cost trillions.

    -almost forgot with respect to fantasy budgets: DJT was correct that we should increase the number of our nukes by ten-fold. There seems to be no way that the US can match the Chicoms in conventional weaponry - yes, Whiskey, that includes naval forces.

    While any major failures would likely be attributed to White males, hearing from a crew (ideally including no White males), "I can't breathe!" - before they expire or incinerate, would be intensely gratifying. Reactions of most US non-whites to such a catastrophe would be at best, ambivalent.

    What fraction of one percent of Northeast Asian-Americans under the age of 30 (nearly all of whom are rabidly racist) don't hope that the PRC gets to Mars and back first? I apologize to said fraction of one percent if I have offended them - along with well-meaning dour geezers such as "Chinese" Gordon Chang - who, no doubt, is aware that "Kyiv" and "Khartoum" are not cognates.
    "Inner Party, Outer Party"? Nah, think, Outer Mind, Inner Mind - and imagine what pressures, even if entirely unconscious, there must be on the ample squash of a young Chinese American (ditto for Indian Americans) scientist to, by omission or commission, make round eye rocket go boom - what? "round eye" is racist? - yes it is - when they
    say it - so solly! (OK so it might be more than a fraction of a percent - bfd)

    Yes, the major objective of the Artemis/Artemus program of the decaying Wild, Wilding West is to degrade the melanin-deficient - while at the same promoting the Big Lie that most said Honkeys (even those with Honkey Pox) will have any non-hellish long-term future in our totalitarian genocidal sh**hole of a country - by including a few White males in some of the crews -

    The Artemis moon landing (if there ever is one) will be fully automated. The wommin and schwartzes will be passengers. No pucker moments like Neil Armstrong taking over manual control of the lander when the computer tried setting down in a boulder field. The wommin would go to pieces and/or drill holes in the spacecraft.

  4. Very sobering 4chan thread just now, several different European anons observing indications that skill is being disincentivized. The drive for education is class mobility and class mobility is being eliminated. Several different scenarios/experiences offered, all boil down to getting the degree and the job will not mean significantly more money, so why pursue them? Several anons claimed to not make significantly more than unskilled labor despite having degrees. When they did make more than a minimum, it’s not enough to save. One concluded, in 50 to 70 years, Western society will not be possible. The skills won’t be present and the new blood will be unable to help. The attack on marriage and even BlackFink’s war on housing didn’t come up (although both are strong supports for the argument), the discussion was strictly about education for class mobility. This followed a separate but related thread, which began by observing that the car market now is behaving like the housing market you-know-when, but stumbled across the interesting point that younger generations are making dumb car purchases because they don’t know anything about cars. Instead of a serious discussion about the uprooting of incentive, the newsmedia accuses workers of laziness (“quiet quitting”), and inherent unworthiness (“men unable to deal with higher dating standards”), or the newsmedia indulges in babble (“luring your employees back to the office with authentic banh mi”).

    For some people.

    Several different scenarios/experiences offered, all boil down to getting the degree and the job will not mean significantly more money, so why pursue them?

    People seem to think that merely having a college degree means you should be paid well. People say this even though they must surely know that most colleges (and their graduates) are mediocre at best.

    Education can certainly help, but being a personable "self-starter" matters a lot more.

    Several anons claimed to not make significantly more than unskilled labor despite having degrees. When they did make more than a minimum, it’s not enough to save.

    It helps to go to a good school, but it helps even more to choose a lucrative field, if lucre is your goal. Two friends of mine, both smart, both with ivy league graduate degrees: One earns eight figures annually (he's in finance) and the other one can barely afford rent (he's in architecture). A degree per se isn't the issue.

    One concluded, in 50 to 70 years, Western society will not be possible.

    Barring armageddon, western society will still exist, but it'll look very different. Probably a blend of Western, African, Latin and Asian. Well what do you know, we're halfway there already. The people won't mind, any more than they mind anything else they're thoroughly used to.

    The counter to such speculation is The Meritocracy Trap: How America's Foundational Myth Feeds Inequality, Dismantles the Middle Class, and Devours the Elite by Daniel Markovits.

    Look at how wealth becomes more concentrated as the elite figure out how to standardize many tasks that used to be done by the middle class. Thus, all of the wealth is concentrated with the algorithm writers and not with middle class people who learned from experience.

    that younger generations are making dumb car purchases because they don’t know anything about cars

    In what sense are the car purchases "dumb"? The older generation always think that the young are foolish, because they always are - that's life. Yes, most young people today don't know how to rebuild their carb or replace the points and adjust the timing because cars don't have carbs and points anymore like back in the day, and the new computerized replacements are not that amenable to DIY repair.

    But that is not really driving purchasing decisions anyway. Back in the day, purchasing decisions were driven by the size of the car's tailfins and not technical merit anyway - long after Europe had gone over to overhead cam engines and independent suspension, American mfrs kept selling decades old obsolete crap under a frequently restyled skin because American car buyers have always favored glitz over technical merit.

    If you think people don't know anything about cars now, just wait until cars become all electric. Then the average person (including all the old farts) are going to know zero about cars and are going to be afraid to touch the 375 volt electrical system even if they could, which they won't be able to anyway because it's all going to be under the control of locked down software.

    The reason that the old fart generation knew about cars was because America was a much poorer country and people couldn't afford to take their car to the dealer - they really had no choice but to work on them themselves. Today's generation has better things to do with their time, like playing video games and they leave car maintenance to paid professionals. You just add it to your credit card balance.

    I sympathize with this point of view. The financial stupidity WILL most likely cause a big downfall of Western Civ. before the demography does - it's a race of different stupidities, if you will.

    However, AD (twice) has a good point. It's only a big majority of White people that could get through the huge push of Totalitarianism we have already started undergoing and somehow recover from it. I see our times as more of an explosive drama in the making: Chekhov’s gun is on the wall and it will be fired.

    other things are going to end western civilization long before demographics can

    Your argument is useless if you’re counting economics over race. Most Whites for good reasons would rather be poorer Whites in a White nation than, say, be richer Asians or a minority among Asians in a richer country. Of course, inside-Hajnal-lines (origin) Whites need not be poor as a race, as is evidenced by centuries of history. So race is the main factor in determining the quality of future America and Europe.

    It's like this. When they're not busy infantilizing women or fetishizing black men's bodies, most "Men" of Unz spend their time pining nostalgically for an idealized traditional America. It's something that existed to some extent in the 1950's. In this idealized version of the past, men ruled the family and indeed the whole non-domestic world, women seldom if ever worked after marriage and especially after having children, everyone went to church on Sunday, people had big families, blacks were submissive, there weren't many Hispanics or Asians or other immigrants, and gay people were deeply closeted and almost invisible.

    What they cannot or will not accept is that even if this idealized nation existed in the 1950's it certainly doesn't any longer, and more to the point is almost certain never to return. One might as well hope for the dinosaurs to come back to life. Rather than trying to make the best of the present - which I will say is not too terrible for most people - the "Men" of Unz long for something that won't return.

    I'll give an example. Even with current immigration levels Hispanics and especially Asians may assimilate into American society to some extent, or at least accept the norms of American life (assimilation of blacks may be more difficult because of the One Drop Rule). Instead of celebrating this fact, and maybe being more accepting of immigrants, the "Men" of Unz regard them as the Spawn of Satan.

    The fact that race is taboo while inflation or the dollar is not should tell you which issue is more important.

    Minoritarianism is simply the dumbest ideology in human history.

    You specifically hold up the people who are not the nation’s core as your standard. You seek out–hold up, promote, sacralize–people who are specifically more alienated from, hostile to, at odds with the society to run it–which specifically includes minorities who are simply less intelligent, less mentally stable, just all around less competent, less suitable. Minoritarianism has become the dominant ideology of the United States because 75% of the population benefits from it at the expense of White Christian males. Since White Christian males are now less than 25% of the population , we are a much smaller minority than the POC coalition...

    Clearly Minoritarianism was a disaster for white males, but it has been good for Asians, Blacks, Jews, Latinos, Queers, and single females. White males do have a potential coalition with married white females, but this demographic is collapsing faster than the white demographics in America. While the White population lost 10 million people over the past decade, reducing our numbers resulting in whites falling below 60% of the US population. The number of married whites collapsed even faster. Just 33% of white millennials live with a spouse and child, compared to 50% of Boomers when they were the age Millennials are now. So the potential white coalition is shrinking faster than the white population as a larger share of Whites remain single and childless (thus keeping the single white females aligned with the woke agenda and opposed to aligning with White males)

    Back in 1989 there were 67 million White boomers and half the boomers were married with children. Today we have just 40 million White Millennials and just 33% are married with children....So the potential White coalition of White males + their spouses has fallen from 50 million to 30 million, a decline of 20 million people.

    It is interesting that the millennials are almost the same size as the Boomers at comparable ages. We had 78 million boomers in 1989 and we have 76 million millennials today. Yet The number of White boomers was 67 million and we have just 40 million white millennials today...The collapse of the white population ensures Minoritarianism will continue to be the dominant ideology of America for some time.

When they did make more than a minimum, it's not enough to save. One concluded, in 50 to 70 years, Western society will not be possible. The skills won't be present and the new blood will be unable to help. The attack on marriage and even BlackFink's war on housing didn't come up (although both are strong supports for the argument), the discussion was strictly about education for class mobility. This followed a separate but related thread, which began by observing that the car market now is behaving like the housing market you-know-when, but stumbled across the interesting point that younger generations are making dumb car purchases because they don't know anything about cars. Instead of a serious discussion about the uprooting of incentive, the newsmedia accuses workers of laziness ("quiet quitting"), and inherent unworthiness ("men unable to deal with higher dating standards"), or the newsmedia indulges in babble ("luring your employees back to the office with authentic banh mi").

    For some people.

    People seem to think that merely having a college degree means you should be paid well. People say this even though they must surely know that most colleges (and their graduates) are mediocre at best.

    Education can certainly help, but being a personable “self-starter” matters a lot more.

    Several anons claimed to not make significantly more than unskilled labor despite having degrees. When they did make more than a minimum, it’s not enough to save.

    It helps to go to a good school, but it helps even more to choose a lucrative field, if lucre is your goal. Two friends of mine, both smart, both with ivy league graduate degrees: One earns eight figures annually (he’s in finance) and the other one can barely afford rent (he’s in architecture). A degree per se isn’t the issue.

    One concluded, in 50 to 70 years, Western society will not be possible.

    Barring armageddon, western society will still exist, but it’ll look very different. Probably a blend of Western, African, Latin and Asian. Well what do you know, we’re halfway there already. The people won’t mind, any more than they mind anything else they’re thoroughly used to.

    We are moving away from race and towards a caste system. Lower class whites, blacks and latinos will all be in the same boat. The new "mixed" elite ruling class will be genetically mostly European/Jewish but with enough of a sprinkling of darker genes to create plausible deniability and use "racial preferences" to give their own mostly white/Asian kids advantages over intelligent but provincial white and East Asian kids who don't know how to play the game.

    Minoritarianism is simply the dumbest ideology in human history.

    You specifically hold up the people who are not the nation's core as your standard. You seek out--hold up, promote, sacralize--people who are specifically more alienated from, hostile to, at odds with the society to run it--which specifically includes minorities who are simply less intelligent, less mentally stable, just all around less competent, less suitable. Insanity.

    Yes and no.

    Statistics reveal that 85% of suspects involved in fatal shootings in Sweden are either born abroad or come from an immigrant background. Recently, bombings and shootings have spread outside the main cities. After a spate of shootings in the smaller city of Örebro, the local police chief said that they now not only had more gangs, but that they had also become more violent. “Where maybe 10 years ago they gave someone a beating, they then switched to shooting each other in the legs,” Mattias Forssten told Reuters. “Now they shoot each other in the head.”

    On August 19, a man was killed and a woman was sent to the hospital with serious wounds after a shooting incident in Malmö, Sweden’s third-largest city. The attack took place inside Emporia, a major shopping mall. According to the police, the murdered man had known ties to a criminal gang. The wounded woman, however, appears to have been an innocent bystander.

    The Law of White is the only color where crime is concerned seems to apply, they hew to no hue is to be mentioned.

    I'd say only a few intellectuals, media blabbers have the sort of numeric handle--or even the sense of scale--that Steve does.

    I think there are a lot of folks who vaguely sort of understand "blacks are not as smart and more impulsive, ergo more criminal". There are also a good number who honestly believe this is due--or mostly due--to some miasma of "socio-economics". And some who honestly do not know it at all--numbers, schumbers, it's "racism!".

    But even the more realistic generally have no idea about the sheer scale. For example blacks in the top quintile of US income commit homicide at roughly the same rate as whites in the bottom quintile. And those are very elite blacks--the top 5% or so--compared to the bottom of barrel (failed) whites who are homiciding at several times the rate of just normie whites. This lone fact debunks all sorts of nonsense. How many people have an inkling?

    We are in a situation where it was made "racist!" to collect, or even note basic facts/data, and literally "beyond the pale"--just like Hitler!--to draw in the obvious genetic causation.... while the lies and slander against white (esp. deplorable flyover) gentiles are repeated--academia, media, Hollyweird--endlessly.

    When the facts are unspoken and unspeakable and the lies repeated and virtuous, you end up in a situation where most people simply do not know. It's a testament to how great the divergence that some people kinda sorta know anyway.

    "but they don't have the guts to write out"

    The white man creator space is shrinking. Self-censorship sits uneasy on the brain. But if you want your stuff out there, collecting eyeballs, you have to work within the framework provided by the kultural kommissars and see what you can get away with. At this time in history, so many middle age white men have reverted back to their smartass, twelve year old selves.

  30. This reminds me of Adolf & Jews. It was about the last universal mathematician, David Hilbert.

    Hilbert lived to see the Nazis purge many of the prominent faculty members at University of Göttingen in 1933. Those forced out included Hermann Weyl (who had taken Hilbert’s chair when he retired in 1930), Emmy Noether and Edmund Landau. One who had to leave Germany, Paul Bernays, had collaborated with Hilbert in mathematical logic, and co-authored with him the important book Grundlagen der Mathematik (which eventually appeared in two volumes, in 1934 and 1939). This was a sequel to the Hilbert–Ackermann book Principles of Mathematical Logic from 1928. Hermann Weyl’s successor was Helmut Hasse.

    About a year later, Hilbert attended a banquet and was seated next to the new Minister of Education, Bernhard Rust. Rust asked whether “the Mathematical Institute really suffered so much because of the departure of the Jews”. Hilbert replied, “Suffered? It doesn’t exist any longer, does it!”

    German mathematics was basically without Jews in its period of huge accomplishment, from 1800 to 1900. But then Jews, from around 1900 to 1930, became perhaps 30% of its best minds, and combined with Germans who wouldn’t put up with such a regime (Hermann Weyl), Dolfie successfully destroyed German mathematics.

    So will CRT American business world success.

Was there any place much better in those times? Then again what great civilization existed before and what did after was mostly build by White men.

    Is there a strange parasitic relationship between the well to do black population and the black poor? It seems as though the worse poor blacks do, the more leverage affluent blacks have to demand things such as affirmative action or more movie roles etc. Meanwhile the plight of poor blacks doesn't improve and there doesn't seem to be an incentive improve their plight. In contrast other minority groups with a much less troubled underclass don't have the clout to demand so many concessions.

    Not only does the plight of poor blacks leverage the ability of well-to-blacks to demand more, the dirty little secret of the black middle class, noted as early as the 80s, is that much of their affluence is based on the services they perform for the poor blacks.

    I'd say this is pretty accurate when I think of a) black clergy and b) black non-profits/consultants in the community development sector. Probably can toss in charter schools, which often seem to be vehicles for thinly-credentialed "educators" to start up a government-supported business and then hire a bunch of friends and family.

    Now I will say that black pastors certainly do not have the market cornered on fleecing members of their congregations, but it seems to me that a much higher percentage of the black professional population is in the organized religion game, and that the delta in household earnings between the pastor of a moderately successful black church and the congregants is larger than the equivalent white one.

    The counter to such speculation is The Meritocracy Trap: How America’s Foundational Myth Feeds Inequality, Dismantles the Middle Class, and Devours the Elite by Daniel Markovits.

    Look at how wealth becomes more concentrated as the elite figure out how to standardize many tasks that used to be done by the middle class. Thus, all of the wealth is concentrated with the algorithm writers and not with middle class people who learned from experience.

    Meanwhile Does Sailer's Law apply to Sweden?

"Where maybe 10 years ago they gave someone a beating, they then switched to shooting each other in the legs," Mattias Forssten told Reuters. "Now they shoot each other in the head."

    On August 19, a man was killed and a woman was sent to the hospital with serious wounds after a shooting incident in Malmö, Sweden's third-largest city. The attack took place inside Emporia, a major shopping mall. According to the police, the murdered man had known ties to a criminal gang. The wounded woman, however, appears to have been an innocent bystander.

    I ran into it just the other day. A black worker, nice gentleman in general, who simply couldn't communicate well (the face mask - yes, STILL! - didn't help) caused much worse service for 2 black customers. Whaddya, whaddya?, as Steve says.

    Actually joemams, Steve is talking about the single issue that is important, if admittedly these showpiece diversity directors are just that--showpieces who can be worked around.

    A nation of competent people can quite easily recover from all sorts of economic trouble. My parents grew up through the Great Depression, oh and then as young adults there was this war thing. Yet, America was pretty fricking great when I was born and I've had an exceptional comfortable and prosperous life. What matters is America was full of lots of competent and fairly cohesive white people.

    What matters for the success of a nation is the genetic and cultural quality of its people. That's what is--already--downgrading the future of America. And it is going to get worse.

    One of the reasons for that may be that many new houses, even in the super ZIP where I used to live, have garages with 8' wide doors, probably because they are cheaper to build. You can fit a MiniCooper through an 8' door but not your average SUV. So the cars sit in the drive way and the garage(s) become storage.

Insanity.

    Next to minoritarianism, and ideology of worshipping grasshoppers would be an upgrade.

    Replies: @Ralph L, @Travis

    Minoritarianism has become the dominant ideology of the United States because 75% of the population benefits from it at the expense of White Christian males. Since White Christian males are now less than 25% of the population , we are a much smaller minority than the POC coalition…

Today we have just 40 million White Millennials and just 33% are married with children….So the potential White coalition of White males + their spouses has fallen from 50 million to 30 million, a decline of 20 million people.

    It is interesting that the millennials are almost the same size as the Boomers at comparable ages. We had 78 million boomers in 1989 and we have 76 million millennials today. Yet The number of White boomers was 67 million and we have just 40 million white millennials today…The collapse of the white population ensures Minoritarianism will continue to be the dominant ideology of America for some time.

    • Replies: @Corvinus
    @Travis

    Minoritarianism has been the dominant ideology of America since our inception as a nation. It would simply depend upon which group of whites you came from. For example, Protestant whites despised the infusion of Catholic whites in the 1840s and 1850s, and then again in the early 1900s. There was considerable animosity given this ethnic pecking order—Nordic, Alpine, and Mediterranean—as artificially created by WASPs. But these groups became temporarily unified along class lines when non whites threatened their financial and social progress.

    https://www.facinghistory.org/resource-library/image/anti-chinese-wall-cartoon

    As soon as the threat dissipated, the ethnic groups were once again rivals.

    Regarding American whites today, especially those between the ages of 16-30, they have developed their own perspectives of their own accord regarding race and culture. It’s who they are. Not because they have been indoctrinated by the Jewish dominated media or by the Frankfurt School, but because of their own investigations and life experiences. And that’s really scary to Mr. Sailer when this group is exercising their free will.

    Questions—Do you think all white people should hold exact views when it come to the “survival of the race”? Why? How do you propose to convince them?

    Business owners, executives
    Retired business executives/owners
    Technical experts, business or academic
    Academic only, not related to business

    Former government
    Solely legal

    My guess is that the vast majority of blacks (and females) are in the Academic, Non Profit, former Government or Solely legal categories. Very few as a percentage would be knowledgeable about the particulars of the business or technology.

    I may be wrong, and doing the research would be difficult and time consuming (though director backgrounds are normally included in annual reports, etc.) Some might be in more than one category.

    Not only does the plight of poor blacks leverage the ability of well-to-blacks to demand more, the dirty little secret of the black middle class, noted as early as the 80s, is that much of their affluence is based on the services they perform for the poor blacks.

    Replies: @joemams, @Arclight

    I’d say this is pretty accurate when I think of a) black clergy and b) black non-profits/consultants in the community development sector. Probably can toss in charter schools, which often seem to be vehicles for thinly-credentialed “educators” to start up a government-supported business and then hire a bunch of friends and family.

    One of the reasons for that may be that many new houses, even in the super ZIP where I used to live, have garages with 8′ wide doors, probably because they are cheaper to build. You can fit a MiniCooper through an 8′ door but not your average SUV. So the cars sit in the drive way and the garage(s) become storage.

    Okay, but the 10' or 12' garage door doesn't have to be facing the street. That's what alleys are for.

It's a matter of numbers, Generic - there's no getting out of the US dollar going down the toilet. (I mean, they're so stupid, for crying out loud that they're spending more borrowed/created US currency via an ANTI-inflation bill. WTF?)

    Yes, being poorer in a long of unified White people, who can get along and have a trusting society, is better than living in a somewhat richer (which won't freaking happen here) Tower of Babel. However, most White people, along with everyone else, are not nearly ready to live poor. People are still trying to live as middle class by borrowing to the hilt. During the Great Depression 1.0 around 1/3 of Americans still lived on the farm. They could make do.

    It's the transistion that's going to hurt. The problem is that there will political turmoil along with the financial turmoil. Communists will try to take this country. It's been a goal of their's since Great Dep. 1.0.

It’s like this. When they’re not busy infantilizing women or fetishizing black men’s bodies, most “Men” of Unz spend their time pining nostalgically for an idealized traditional America. It’s something that existed to some extent in the 1950’s. In this idealized version of the past, men ruled the family and indeed the whole non-domestic world, women seldom if ever worked after marriage and especially after having children, everyone went to church on Sunday, people had big families, blacks were submissive, there weren’t many Hispanics or Asians or other immigrants, and gay people were deeply closeted and almost invisible.

    What they cannot or will not accept is that even if this idealized nation existed in the 1950’s it certainly doesn’t any longer, and more to the point is almost certain never to return. One might as well hope for the dinosaurs to come back to life. Rather than trying to make the best of the present – which I will say is not too terrible for most people – the “Men” of Unz long for something that won’t return.

    I’ll give an example. Even with current immigration levels Hispanics and especially Asians may assimilate into American society to some extent, or at least accept the norms of American life (assimilation of blacks may be more difficult because of the One Drop Rule). Instead of celebrating this fact, and maybe being more accepting of immigrants, the “Men” of Unz regard them as the Spawn of Satan.

    immigrants != immigration.

    This takes approximately zero IQ points to grasp. If you can not grasp it that's your emotions.

    Immigrants are individual people. They can be awesome or suck. I know lots of immigrants. My best friends are immigrants. Eh ... so what?

    Immigration--and we're specifically talking about mass immigration here--is a process. An extremely destructive process. For example, immigration has in the last decade or two completely destroyed housing affordability for our young people--and hence "affordable family formation". Destroyed America's great historic advantage. Immigration is destructive on wages, employment, crime, schools, taxes, traffic, social cohesion, politics, sprawl, open space, the environment ...

    I think you're basically right about the assimilation of Asians. But that assimilation requires ... immigration to stop. (And probably rolling back minoritarianism, getting back toward majoritarian integrationism.) Hispanics are a harder case, because the native Indians were much closer to our hunter-gatherer ancestors and just were not very smart. So the mestizos are considerably less smart. But they are not as slow as blacks and not remotely as impulsive and violent. The probable--"immigration stops"--scenario is we'd end up with a Latin style color continuum.

    ~~~
    What they cannot or will not accept is that even if this idealized nation existed in the 1950’s it certainly doesn’t any longer, and more to the point is almost certain never to return.
    The 1950s are not going to return because ... well they were in the 1950s and you can't go back.
    But we have this awesome thing called "math" which helps with analysis:
    (1.6/2.0)**N heads toward zero as N increases.
    The "modern" American white TFR is 1.6. That is not going to stick around very long--at least not for everyone. If it sticks around for white people, then white people will die off to be replaced by people with a TFR greater than 1.6, ultimately a TFR greater than 2.0.
    You can stomp your feet all you want about how much you love the strong women of crossfit and homosexuals. But the strong women of crossfit and homosexuals are essentially irrelevant. They do not create--will not be--the future. The future will in fact be precisely those communities/cultures that prize normal (i.e. "oppressive", "1950s" style) married-with-children--lots of children--families. I don't know whether it's Mormons or Muslims or Quiverfull Christians or Orthodox Jews ... but some group--probably several groups--that both have children and have the will competence/capability to defend their turf from the African hordes will win out. It's just math. You can't beat something with nothing.
    The drive for education is class mobility
    For some people.
    Several different scenarios/experiences offered, all boil down to getting the degree and the job will not mean significantly more money, so why pursue them?
    People seem to think that merely having a college degree means you should be paid well. People say this even though they must surely know that most colleges (and their graduates) are mediocre at best.
    Education can certainly help, but being a personable "self-starter" matters a lot more.
    Several anons claimed to not make significantly more than unskilled labor despite having degrees. When they did make more than a minimum, it’s not enough to save.
    It helps to go to a good school, but it helps even more to choose a lucrative field, if lucre is your goal. Two friends of mine, both smart, both with ivy league graduate degrees: One earns eight figures annually (he's in finance) and the other one can barely afford rent (he's in architecture). A degree per se isn't the issue.
    One concluded, in 50 to 70 years, Western society will not be possible.
    Barring armageddon, western society will still exist, but it'll look very different. Probably a blend of Western, African, Latin and Asian. Well what do you know, we're halfway there already. The people won't mind, any more than they mind anything else they're thoroughly used to.
    Minoritarianism has become the dominant ideology of the United States because 75% of the population benefits from it at the expense of White Christian males. Since White Christian males are now less than 25% of the population , we are a much smaller minority than the POC coalition...
    Clearly Minoritarianism was a disaster for white males, but it has been good for Asians, Blacks, Jews, Latinos, Queers, and single females. White males do have a potential coalition with married white females, but this demographic is collapsing faster than the white demographics in America. While the White population lost 10 million people over the past decade, reducing our numbers resulting in whites falling below 60% of the US population. The number of married whites collapsed even faster. Just 33% of white millennials live with a spouse and child, compared to 50% of Boomers when they were the age Millennials are now. So the potential white coalition is shrinking faster than the white population as a larger share of Whites remain single and childless (thus keeping the single white females aligned with the woke agenda and opposed to aligning with White males)
    Back in 1989 there were 67 million White boomers and half the boomers were married with children. Today we have just 40 million White Millennials and just 33% are married with children....So the potential White coalition of White males + their spouses has fallen from 50 million to 30 million, a decline of 20 million people.
    It is interesting that the millennials are almost the same size as the Boomers at comparable ages. We had 78 million boomers in 1989 and we have 76 million millennials today. Yet The number of White boomers was 67 million and we have just 40 million white millennials today...The collapse of the white population ensures Minoritarianism will continue to be the dominant ideology of America for some time.
    Replies: @Corvinus
    Minoritarianism has been the dominant ideology of America since our inception as a nation. It would simply depend upon which group of whites you came from. For example, Protestant whites despised the infusion of Catholic whites in the 1840s and 1850s, and then again in the early 1900s. There was considerable animosity given this ethnic pecking order—Nordic, Alpine, and Mediterranean—as artificially created by WASPs. But these groups became temporarily unified along class lines when non whites threatened their financial and social progress.
    https://www.facinghistory.org/resource-library/image/anti-chinese-wall-cartoon
    As soon as the threat dissipated, the ethnic groups were once again rivals.
    Regarding American whites today, especially those between the ages of 16-30, they have developed their own perspectives of their own accord regarding race and culture. It’s who they are. Not because they have been indoctrinated by the Jewish dominated media or by the Frankfurt School, but because of their own investigations and life experiences. And that’s really scary to Mr. Sailer when this group is exercising their free will.
    Questions—Do you think all white people should hold exact views when it come to the “survival of the race”? Why? How do you propose to convince them?
    Here's how the Constitution's preamble wraps: "... to ouselves and our posterity do ...". Not getting the minoritarian vibe there. What's with this "our" stuff? Sounds positively racist, selfish and xenophobic--i.e. normal.
    Heck, minoritarianism wasn't even the dominant ideology when I was a kid. The "rise of the Jews" and their pushing the whole "minorities first", "minorities wonderful", "oppressive white gentiles" thing was still "in process". Definitely not dominant.
    BTW, while JackD likes to retcon the Founders into minoritarians--whenever i mention the "i-word" without proper reverence--I do not think you're being narrative compliant here. The modern narrative is precisely just how terribly racist, sexist, homophobic ... the Founders were and why they need to be pitched out. So Corny I'd have to give you a "fail".
    I’d say only a few intellectuals, media blabbers have the sort of numeric handle–or even the sense of scale–that Steve does.
    I think there are a lot of folks who vaguely sort of understand “blacks are not as smart and more impulsive, ergo more criminal”. There are also a good number who honestly believe this is due–or mostly due–to some miasma of “socio-economics”. And some who honestly do not know it at all–numbers, schumbers, it’s “racism!”.
    But even the more realistic generally have no idea about the sheer scale. For example blacks in the top quintile of US income commit homicide at roughly the same rate as whites in the bottom quintile. And those are very elite blacks–the top 5% or so–compared to the bottom of barrel (failed) whites who are homiciding at several times the rate of just normie whites. This lone fact debunks all sorts of nonsense. How many people have an inkling?
    We are in a situation where it was made “racist!” to collect, or even note basic facts/data, and literally “beyond the pale”–just like Hitler!–to draw in the obvious genetic causation…. while the lies and slander against white (esp. deplorable flyover) gentiles are repeated–academia, media, Hollyweird–endlessly.
    When the facts are unspoken and unspeakable and the lies repeated and virtuous, you end up in a situation where most people simply do not know. It’s a testament to how great the divergence that some people kinda sorta know anyway.
    It's like this. When they're not busy infantilizing women or fetishizing black men's bodies, most "Men" of Unz spend their time pining nostalgically for an idealized traditional America. It's something that existed to some extent in the 1950's. In this idealized version of the past, men ruled the family and indeed the whole non-domestic world, women seldom if ever worked after marriage and especially after having children, everyone went to church on Sunday, people had big families, blacks were submissive, there weren't many Hispanics or Asians or other immigrants, and gay people were deeply closeted and almost invisible.
    What they cannot or will not accept is that even if this idealized nation existed in the 1950's it certainly doesn't any longer, and more to the point is almost certain never to return. One might as well hope for the dinosaurs to come back to life. Rather than trying to make the best of the present - which I will say is not too terrible for most people - the "Men" of Unz long for something that won't return.
    I'll give an example. Even with current immigration levels Hispanics and especially Asians may assimilate into American society to some extent, or at least accept the norms of American life (assimilation of blacks may be more difficult because of the One Drop Rule). Instead of celebrating this fact, and maybe being more accepting of immigrants, the "Men" of Unz regard them as the Spawn of Satan.
    Thanks, i remember it. (Except for blacks being “submissive”.) It was indeed pretty awesome.
    prosa, I’m going to try and help improve your feelings centric thinking (which you project onto us “Men of Unz”).
    I’ll give an example. Even with current immigration levels Hispanics and especially Asians may assimilate into American society to some extent, or at least accept the norms of American life (assimilation of blacks may be more difficult because of the One Drop Rule).     immigrants != immigration.
    This takes approximately zero IQ points to grasp. If you can not grasp it that’s your emotions.
    Immigrants are individual people. They can be awesome or suck. I know lots of immigrants. My best friends are immigrants. Eh … so what?
    Immigration–and we’re specifically talking about mass immigration here–is a process. An extremely destructive process. For example, immigration has in the last decade or two completely destroyed housing affordability for our young people–and hence “affordable family formation”. Destroyed America’s great historic advantage. Immigration is destructive on wages, employment, crime, schools, taxes, traffic, social cohesion, politics, sprawl, open space, the environment …
    I think you’re basically right about the assimilation of Asians. But that assimilation requires … immigration to stop. (And probably rolling back minoritarianism, getting back toward majoritarian integrationism.) Hispanics are a harder case, because the native Indians were much closer to our hunter-gatherer ancestors and just were not very smart. So the mestizos are considerably less smart. But they are not as slow as blacks and not remotely as impulsive and violent. The probable–“immigration stops”–scenario is we’d end up with a Latin style color continuum.
    ~~~

    What they cannot or will not accept is that even if this idealized nation existed in the 1950’s it certainly doesn’t any longer, and more to the point is almost certain never to return.

    The 1950s are not going to return because … well they were in the 1950s and you can’t go back.

    But we have this awesome thing called “math” which helps with analysis:
    (1.6/2.0)**N heads toward zero as N increases.

    The “modern” American white TFR is 1.6. That is not going to stick around very long–at least not for everyone. If it sticks around for white people, then white people will die off to be replaced by people with a TFR greater than 1.6, ultimately a TFR greater than 2.0.

    You can stomp your feet all you want about how much you love the strong women of crossfit and homosexuals. But the strong women of crossfit and homosexuals are essentially irrelevant. They do not create–will not be–the future. The future will in fact be precisely those communities/cultures that prize normal (i.e. “oppressive”, “1950s” style) married-with-children–lots of children–families. I don’t know whether it’s Mormons or Muslims or Quiverfull Christians or Orthodox Jews … but some group–probably several groups–that both have children and have the will competence/capability to defend their turf from the African hordes will win out. It’s just math. You can’t beat something with nothing.

    Female astronauts have done some pretty wacky stiff.

    Russians accused US female astronaut Serena Auón-Chancellor of drilling the holes in the Soyuz capsule. Serena was having health problems at the time, had just had a big argument with her boyfriend. The Russian hypothesis is Serena drilled the holes in a desperate attempt to get back to earth sooner than scheduled.

    Oddly, video surveillance turned off at time in the Russian module, a la Epstein.

    Look at the pics yourself. The holes clearly are drilled clumsily. The Russian case is compelling and plausible.

    The newer “neighborhoods” look more like storage rental facilities than places where people live, the garages are so dominant.

    I think that it's hilarious that NASA is justifying the Artemis mission mainly on the basis that this time women and black people will get to go to the moon. We have plenty of moon rocks and don't really need any more (and if we did it would be much cheaper to send a robot to pick them up) but what we don't have are black women on the moon and it's worth spending billions of $ to correct this.

    As for the claim that Auñón-Chancellor drilled the holes, as the article states:

    Huge claims require sturdy evidence, but the Roscosmos source fails to provide any definitive proof to back up the accusation.

    Obviously we are at a time of increased tension with Russia. Russian claims always have to be taken with a grain of salt (Russians have a different relationship with the truth than Westerners) but especially right now. The leadership of Roscosmos has come out strongly in favor of the war with Ukraine - the Russian space program was always closely connected to its military. So even by Russian standards you can't expect unbiased claims at this time.

    Also knowing Russia's relationship with alcohol and with fine craftsmanship, I would not rule out that these holes were made in the factory and blaming it on the Americans is a way of deflecting that. The fact that there were 8 other holes partially drilled points to that.

    In any case, proof seems to be completely lacking - they are blaming the American based on speculation of motive rather than on any actual evidence connecting Auñón-Chancellor to the alleged crime. Maybe this is good enough for a Russian courtroom but in America we expect there to be some sort of proof. My "drunken Russian worker" theory has the same amount of evidence attached to it as Russia's "the American did it" theory - none.

    Ars Technica reported that while ultimately no ISS crewmembers were endangered by the Soyuz hole, its discovery proved embarrassing for the Russian space agency. An investigation into the breach had quickly ruled out a strike by a micrometeorite, with some Russian news agencies reporting that the hole was the result of a manufacturing fault.

    https://www.newsweek.com/russia-could-take-legal-action-against-nasa-astronaut-accused-drilling-hole-spacecraft-1655420#:~:text=In%20August%202018%2C%20NASA%20ground,space%20station%20at%20the%20time.

    Even putting aside the current wartime tensions, deflection of blame is a time honored Russian method for dealing with failure.

    Even the Russians blamed a manufacturing error originally:

    https://www.spaceflightinsider.com/missions/iss/roscosmos-boss-soyuz-pressure-leak-caused-by-technological-error/

    The hole that caused the leak was 2mm (1/16th of an inch). Even in the vacuum of space this was not a big enough leak to be dangerous. The nice thing about a vacuum is that no matter how absolute the vacuum the pressure difference vs. the atmosphere is less than 15 psi (less than is in your car tires). Such a hole could be fixed literally by putting a piece of bubble gum over it and the actual fix was not much different - a bit of gauze impregnated with epoxy. As for why it wasn't leaking originally, the best guess is that the worker, embarrassed by his error, patched up the hole with some material but that material fell off at some point and revealed the hole. If you look at the pictures in the Newsweek article, it sure looks like a manufacturing error to me - the drill bit skating along and making a track.

    One would think that if Auñón-Chancellor wanted to get home sooner she would have used a drill bit that was larger than 1/16".

    Well, you could actually send four of them on that flight, so only $25 million each. Once you have the technology, research costs will go way down and we can probably do it for around $2.5 million each. Investing in reusable launch technology could bring that cost down to about a million each. Eliminating the return flight could really slash costs, maybe even down to about $100 thousand each. Long term, this would represent a monumental savings for this country's taxpayers.

Instead of a serious discussion about the uprooting of incentive, the newsmedia accuses workers of laziness ("quiet quitting"), and inherent unworthiness ("men unable to deal with higher dating standards"), or the newsmedia indulges in babble ("luring your employees back to the office with authentic banh mi").

    that younger generations are making dumb car purchases because they don’t know anything about cars

    In what sense are the car purchases “dumb”? The older generation always think that the young are foolish, because they always are – that’s life. Yes, most young people today don’t know how to rebuild their carb or replace the points and adjust the timing because cars don’t have carbs and points anymore like back in the day, and the new computerized replacements are not that amenable to DIY repair.

    But that is not really driving purchasing decisions anyway. Back in the day, purchasing decisions were driven by the size of the car’s tailfins and not technical merit anyway – long after Europe had gone over to overhead cam engines and independent suspension, American mfrs kept selling decades old obsolete crap under a frequently restyled skin because American car buyers have always favored glitz over technical merit.

    If you think people don’t know anything about cars now, just wait until cars become all electric. Then the average person (including all the old farts) are going to know zero about cars and are going to be afraid to touch the 375 volt electrical system even if they could, which they won’t be able to anyway because it’s all going to be under the control of locked down software.

    The reason that the old fart generation knew about cars was because America was a much poorer country and people couldn’t afford to take their car to the dealer – they really had no choice but to work on them themselves. Today’s generation has better things to do with their time, like playing video games and they leave car maintenance to paid professionals. You just add it to your credit card balance.

    Tailfins? What? The less grasp you have, the more you content-generate. No, the guy I was referring to was a mechanic and wasn't talking about rebuilding carburetors. I can't represent his exact points (I have the screengrabs somewhere) but mainly the discussion was about buying new cars on nightmare financing. Like kids are afraid of used, they actually think new is better.

    No hard evidence supporting other hypotheses either.

    The female astronaut had motive and opportunity. And there’s at least one other example of NASA’s best women astronauts going totally cray-cray.

    You fail to address the fact thst the video surveillance in that module inexplicably was turned off against procedure when the leak happened. Also, Americans refused to take polygraph tests. Not conclusive but certainly suggestive.

    Missing video surveillance reminiscent of Epstein. A bit too tidy ain’t it.

    Given there is no hard evidence either way, and given the mysterious missing video and hole evidence, I find “the crazy woman drilled the holes” hypothesis to be a plausible, even probable, explanation.

We have never been to the God damned moon and never will be in the future. As soon as the average American understands at least THAT much, the sooner we may come to a collective overall awakening as to the depths of the deception in which we live.

    \$100 million for NASA to send a negress to the moon?

    Well, you could actually send four of them on that flight, so only \$25 million each. Once you have the technology, research costs will go way down and we can probably do it for around \$2.5 million each. Investing in reusable launch technology could bring that cost down to about a million each. Eliminating the return flight could really slash costs, maybe even down to about \$100 thousand each. Long term, this would represent a monumental savings for this country’s taxpayers.

    Then again what great civilization existed before and what did after was mostly build by White men.

    it's all relative to the time isn't it? even in 'great' white societies in history, what percentage of the population led 'great' lives? i don't want to sound like an asia shill, but if we're talking about 'great' societies, generically, india and china had many periods of greatness and they probably will again. they each had the biggest economies at many points and even impressive walled cities, not just castles, for instance. and the great wall is kind of impressive if you really think about it. they had enough control over vast lands that they walled off an empire. google walled cities in europe and they're quite underwhelming.

    Agreed. Our country needs a strong Asia in order to have any return to the Republic at all.

    that younger generations are making dumb car purchases because they don’t know anything about cars

    Tailfins? What? The less grasp you have, the more you content-generate. No, the guy I was referring to was a mechanic and wasn’t talking about rebuilding carburetors. I can’t represent his exact points (I have the screengrabs somewhere) but mainly the discussion was about buying new cars on nightmare financing. Like kids are afraid of used, they actually think new is better.

    @J.Ross

    It's rational to fear used. The used car industry is corrupt - you don't know what you are getting. And once the warranty is expired, if you are not able to do your own work (most people can't or don't want to), the dealers will rape you with their charges. They will DOUBLE rape you with inflated OEM prices for parts AND inflated labor costs (and half the time they recommend work that doesn't even need to be done). You can spend more than you paid for the car on repairs.

    Yes it's stupid to buy a rapidly depreciating asset with long term financing - at some point you are probably going to be "underwater" where the car is worth less than what you owe. At that point, it's hard to say who is stupider - the buyer or the lender who lent him the money with insufficient collateral? One thing is for sure - the car dealer is the winner.

    Fair enough point Jack re: “no hard evidence” of the US woman astronaut drilling the holes.

    Does any serious adult believe NASA wouldn’t delete the vid and cover it up if it did in fact happen? Hunter’s laptop? Lol come on Jack G-d knows you embarrass both of us.

    How do we know that the woman is "crazy" other than the Russians saying that she is? We know that there was once another crazy lady astronaut but there there is no evidence at all that Auñón-Chancellor is mentally unstable. She had thrombosis which is a medical, not a mental, condition. She has no record of being "crazy" otherwise - the Russians just made this up out of thin air like they invented the drill. There is no crazy, no drill, but somehow you buy the story because the Russians say so?

    According to some sources, NASA has information that no American astronauts were anywhere near Soyuz at the time that the hole was drilled (BTW, wouldn't it be the Russians who would have cameras on their own Soyuz capsule - every car in Russia has a dashcam because otherwise everyone involved in an accident would just lie) but they chose to soft pedal their denials because they wanted to maintain some shred of good relations with the Russians whose cooperation they still need.

    From the beginning, NASA has known these claims were nonsensical. Back in 2018, senior NASA officials were briefed on the matter, a source who participated told Ars. The agency's space station program, based in Houston, was able to immediately determine that pressures began falling on the space station in late August 2018. They knew the precise locations of the US astronauts before the leak occurred and at the moment it began. None of the US astronauts on the station were near the Russian segment where the Soyuz vehicle was docked. US officials shared this data with Russians to no avail.

    all true, except the cohesive part unless you believe leave it to beaver was a docu-series. economic/societal recovery isn't likely with the current paradigm/reality (demographics, politics, etc. ), so it has to be avoided and it's a closer meteor than demographics is my point, not that demographics isn't a bigger meteor.

    Replies: @Gabe Ruth

    More accurately, the demographic meteor has already struck, nothing to be done about it now. Same with the economic meteor though, so what else you got?

    There are more things one can do at a personal level about the economic troubles to come, but sites that write about those are pretty common and it’s a hard topic. Steve is quite adverse to giving advice, especially of a financial kind.

    One thing you said down thread was interesting, about whites accepting serfdom longer than other races. I’ve never considered this view, will have to think on it a while but it’s interesting. Would be interested in hearing why you consider India’s caste system not comparable to serfdom. Obviously many differences, but are they achieving different objectives, namely maintaining the social dominance of the current elite?
