A friend writes:

I think you need a another term after the Great Awokening to describe the current ramp up.

The Awokening led to the Blackening.

Also, another way to think of these development is this is the Sixties done by the community college kids.

We didn’t have this community college mega industry until the 70s.

The Sixties were driven in sizable measure by a very large cohort of young, bright Jewish Baby Boomers. A friend who taught at Yale in the 1960s said that the intellectual intensity of the freshman class ratcheted upwards notably from the freshmen of Fall 1964 (George W. Bush’s entering class) to Fall 1965, the first year when there was no quota holding down the percentage of Jews at Yale.

This year is the opposite, with childish lowbrow stupidities running amok, like the middle school idea of capitalizing Black but not white.

Having your vanguard minority in 2020 have an average IQ two dozen points lower than your vanguard minority in 1968 makes a big difference.

Also, Jews tend to be male chauvinist, so you get a lot of interesting ideas out of bright young guys showing off in arguments with each other for the girls. In contrast, among blacks, the males aren’t as educated as the females. But women don’t produce as many interesting ideas, so you get a lot of stale regurgitation of old classroom lectures, with much of the intellectual innovation going into new reasons to talk about my hair.

What does it mean to be “bright” exactly? To be “brighter” than George H.W. Bush? What purpose does that serve? More importantly, what good does it serve?

Jews engage in manipulative word game tactics all the time. (And they capitalize “jewish” but put “White” in lowercase.) They appreciate the subtle role words have in shaping perceptions.

The Jewish hippies of the 1960s may have been more articulate than the current batch, but they were just as vile and in some ways more insidious. The Weathermen, Abbie Hoffman, Jerry Rubin, Ira Einhorn, ugh, just typing their names makes me want to take a bath.

Some of the earliest anti-white propaganda comes from this time, like Ralph Bakshi’s early films or Robert Downey Sr.’s Pitney Swope. And Portnoy’s Com-Laing is just the Jewish Soul on Ice.

Isn’t it a sign of dumbed down education standards across the board? By all accounts George W. Bush was a lazy student and earned mediocre grades at Yale. Today a student with his work ethic and study habits would breeze through with a GPA above 3.0. How can people who spent their entire time in school from kindergarten through grad school being encourage to emote about their feelings and taught they are victims come up with anything about an insane list of demands?

And of course, the high-IQ intellectual blacks (John McWhorter, Thomas Sowell, Neil deGrasse Tyson, et al.) aren’t an option because they’d just emancipate you on day 1.

Is it strategically wise to wind Trump up on his home turf, where he can legally, and without interference, order the military to shoot rioters in the ass? I would have advised against it, were I on the side of the moron kids.

There is some truth to the notion that these riots have a lot to do with these kids seeing old-times rioting on Youtube, and wishing they could have been a part of it. I’ve seen countless comments on Youtube sixties demonstration video’s of in the past of kids saying they wish they’d been there. Looked so fun, etc., with no grasp of the depth of pathology attached to the prime movers back in the day. Abbie Hoffman. Brain damaged Timothy Leary. Angela Davis. Heroin John Lennon. The Simbionese Liberation Army. It was an historic shitshow, and it wasn’t fun.

If a culture or person can’t be mocked they become ridiculous, think North Korean dictators. Even Chappelle mocked Jussie smollett but that seems like generation ago. 13. Altai [AKA "Altai_2"] says:

How much is just really a difference in form and more importantly, context. The 68ers did all the damage would could in that vein. Today the intellectual and social grooming is complete. Now that is the only place to go. Pure ethnic demands. CRT people found a set of activist models that worked. (Really just discovering that whites had been groomed to not view themselves as having legitimate interests)

All forms of WASP ethnic interest and self-determination were delegitimised by 68 thanks to the great waves. By 2020 all forms of American ‘white’ collective interest or self-determination are illegitimate. That is all. Now no matter how outrageous, petty, emanating from a tiny minority of CRT students or distracting from the real issues of black America the demands are. All that matters is that explicitly they are from black America to white America. And white America has no legitimate interests and therefore the demands cannot be reasonably countered or negotiated. We’re all mayor Jacob Fray having to walk back alone from a mob that gathered outside his house which won’t take ‘no’ as an answer to demands to dismantle the police. Intellectually we’re all alone, nobody is coming to back any white person up. No matter the numbers in a room, a lone black person in a sea of white people will always be like a mob surrounding lone individuals. It’s like when Austro-Hungary deliberately sent a letter of insane demands to Serbia to pretend it had negotiated with them first.

The most influential non-scientific intellectual contributions of American Jews from the great wave onward were American Zionism, Milton Friendman’s Chicago school of economics and the more or less the entire fields of sociology and anthropology in the post-war era. You could also add the lawfarisation of the civil rights movement, though one can debate how successful it might have been otherwise and Steve and Caldwell seem to having mixed feelings about the ultimate consequences of these. All of these seem more sophisticate ways of breaking down society so Jews feel ‘safe’, with the Chicago school of economics being particularly irredeemable and quite attractive to spiv elites the globe over. But maybe in the mid to late 20th century they needed to be.

One aspect though I’m interested in, is the cross-pollination between activists in the US and South Africa. During the brief foreshock of all this on American campuses in 2014, the ‘Rhodes Must Fall’ protests seemed to appear in South Africa in imitation afterwards. They subsequently got very wild and got more complex, turning into the ‘Fees Must Fall’ protests which also expanded in scope. (In SA they actually have problems so things like the universities hiring cleaning staff as full staff rather than outsourced contract workers was a good thing they got done as well as freezing fees for poor students.)

But during the ‘Fallist’ protests which also included copious amounts of generally senseless property destruction (Which seems to be a constant feature of any Bantu protest) they also attacked all vestiges of the white history of the universities, most prominently that of UCT where things started. Statues, busts, paintings, pictures of old graduating classes were all burned in big fires by the students. UCT also plays host to Anglo war memorials to students who died in the first and second world wars. These were also vandalised with anti-white graffiti, most prominently ‘fuck white people’. (And I’ve seen pictures of it floating around with people thinking it was from memorials in London defaced in the recent June protests despite table mountain being clear in the background, that’s how similar the graffiti and language is 6 years and thousands of miles apart)

I wonder if the scale and energy of the Fallist protests also inspired the greater black activist push that led to BLM expanding in scope. Certainly the Fallists penchant for statue destruction (Scenes of police ringing prominent statues was also present there) is a very similar MO to what we saw, particularly in Britain. The Fallist protestors used a lot of post-modern American CRT jargon with some local context pushing through but the protests themselves are very similar to what we’ve seen lately. Social media has facilitated this. Some of the aesthetics of the protests remind of very much post-modern American CRT stuff. Complete with lots of white students.

  14. Maybe I’m wrong, but I had been under the impression that the standard route for an affirmative action black guy with elite credentials was to be the affable, non-threatening, all-around good guy type – you know, a guy who is good at bullshitting during golf and has a cigar hobby and likes to talk sports and stuff. The foursome is three white guys and this black guy, and they get tipsy on the course and start calling one another “brutha.” Later on he can transition to being the Executive Vice President for Diversity or some other sinecure.

That guy is always in high demand in corporate America, and in return he gets a really comfortable and easy living.

Some of the antifa maggots had on gas masks against teargas and goggles to protect against pepper spray.

Conveniently enough they were attempting the statue pull down just as the Tucker Carlson show came on so he showed them live for a few minutes

Overanalysis here. In the 60’s the enemy was only trying to gain control, and thus had to use clever subversions to trick the victim into self destruction. In the 2020’s the enemy is almost fully in control, and can thus get away with merely commanding “kneel, whitey.” The clever little boy from the 60’s is now an 8ft tall behemoth with Fleet Class Orbital Bombardment Vessels at his command and has no more use for clever tricks to get what he wants.

Unfortunately, I think that is the idea–i.e., doing something calculated to make Trump unleash lethal force on the rioters. That has been the endgame all along–get a couple of “protesters” killed by federal troops; their names and faces will then become internationally famous, and we’ll be swamped by sob stories of their families, their bright futures, etc., from now to election time.

Not just white, but a pasty, unhealthy, often tattooed white. Surely these are not the sharpest white people (it looked like people were pulling on the ropes from BOTH sides of the statue) but who ARE they?

Today Asians seem pretty much as smart as the Jews of the ’60s, but they, for the most part, seem disinterested in politics. This is good because when young Asians get interested in politics (see the Cultural Revolution) the results are not usually good. If Asians were trying to pull down that statue, it would be down.

I think of the Manson Family when I look at these mobs of statue attackers, especially the women.

Sure, Manon’s followers were minuscule in number. His “family” and their horrific actions represent a statistically insignificant sliver of the “counter-culture.”

But look closely at his followers:

Upper-middle class, fairly intelligent white girls, with a smattering of charismatic male opportunists who saw radical politics as a good way to get a little action.

I see a lot of this in the Woke Left.

These Housewives of Facebook, for instance – the highly educated, wine swilling, yoga practitioners – who I remember as relatively normal teenagers, have turned into Manson family-like acolytes. That vacuous, spaced-out stare; the sloganeering: “White Privilege! Black Lives Matter!” It’s just depressing.

  26. While I am perfectly aware that it is easy to comment from a safe distance, I would say this whole “revolution” is highly exaggerated. In the US there are ca. 40 million blacks and how much of them “revolted”, i.e. took part in riots? With regard to antifa rabble, they are also a minor group of whiny losers whose “strength” is commensurate with reluctance of white liberal elected officials to do anything ( re radical Democrats- where are AOC & her colleagues?)

I am not saying this all is basically nothing: on the contrary, this is the lunatic peak of the New Left world-view & media indoctrination. And, having said that, judging from what I’ve seen from Western media space: the core population doesn’t believe the Narrative anymore, but is still disorganized; colored races (blacks, brown Muslims,..) cannot do anything similar to the terrorist 60’s (Black Panthers, Stokely Carmichael,..)- now, they’re more easily identifiable & thrown into jail; white radical groups in the US haven’t lifted a finger yet (various outlaw bikers’ gangs); everything seems bigger because of Twitter & social networks.

Media is powerful. But you cannot wield power for long without the firepower- and this is something no “liberals” will ever possess.

Honestly, it’s mainly a form of thrill seeker/entertainment. It’s like the people who go to the Coachella Festival. It’s just something to do to burn off youthful energy and mingle with trendy, like-minded people.

I find them them repulsive, and yes, some of them are dangerous criminals.

My point is: This is a not a genuine political movement like some of the old commie or radical labor movements, which, before the commies starting killing everybody, did at least have something do to with better wages and working conditions. Hell, I’d have more respect for these mobs if they were breaking stuff over a $15 minimum wage. I might disagree with it, it might be wrong or unworkable or whatever. But I could at least comprehend where they were coming from: “Why does Jeff Bezos have zillions and I make $8.00 an hour!”

Is it strategically wise to wind Trump up on his home turf, where he can legally, and without interference, order the military to shoot rioters in the ass? I would have advised against it, were I on the side of the moron kids.

As stated here by Almost Missouri, the protests turned riots about a dead black guy in Minneapolis morphed into a domestic “color revolution” of the kind our Intelligence Apparatus has engineered overseas for the past ten years or so. There was a play to take the White House by encouraging the riots to go to DC, while the DC Mayor simultaneously goaded Trump about being “scared” in the White House bunker and stood down her police and demanded withdrawal of the National Guard. (Side note, what would the President be “scared” about if the protests are peaceful?) At the same time the SecDef resisted invoking the insurrection act and Mattis pulled his stunt. It was probably only by the grace of having Bill Barr at the President’s back who was shrewd enough to see what was happening that the White House grounds weren’t breached, the security perimeter was enhanced, and DOJ personnel under his control mobilized to protect the White House.

Any outcome in which the White House grounds were breached would have been a huge loss for the President. The extreme case – Trump was seized by the rioters and lynched on the White House grounds – would of course have been spun as a comeuppance in the way that the Italians hanged Mussolini. Other outcomes ranged from the rioters “arresting” the President, to simply causing the President to flee from the White House. Even in the case that the rioters breached the White House grounds but were repelled by the Secret Service’s use of deadly force, they’d have their martyrs and bloody shirts to wave, and they’d be able to liken it to Kent State on steroids. You’d get nightly news anchors opining by asking why the President didn’t “diffuse” the situation by fleeing the White House grounds and allowing the peaceful protestors to take it, which, after all, is “only property.”

All of which is to say that whoever is guiding these riots would probably like to see some of the front line rioters put themselves into a situation in which they are killed or maimed by people protecting the President and the White House. They may have been checkmated by Barr in terms of breaching the White House, but they can still generate the martyrs as a consolation prize.

Unlike the riots from a few weeks ago that involved sophisticated professional agitators, ANTIFA, a handful of bad hombres and the usual protest of the week crowd, this time around the protesters seemed to consist of mostly high schoolers. Are we already at the Children’s Crusade stage of the revolution? I am willing to bet that most of these teenagers were radicalized in the last month by videos on Chinese owned TikTok. Maybe twenty five years ago there were protests in France, and I can’t remember what the protestors were demanding exactly but the gist of it seemed ridiculous to me. I’m making it up but it could have been as silly as a daily half bottle of Bordeaux guaranteed by the government.

When I was watching these events and the coverage of them, it was mentioned over and over that the protestors were “students.” Except, most of them didn’t look to be between 18-22. They were young adults in their twenties and thirties, and perhaps approaching middle age. So I concluded that they were the sort of people who glided around the academy for a decade or so, all the while avoiding milestones of adulthood. I was given to understand by the news commentators at the time that youth unemployment in France was endemic, so it was as much a case of the protestors not being given the opportunity to move on in life as it was the comfortable extended adolescence of remaining in academia into one’s adult years.

I remarked to myself, “gee, we have some problems here in the U.S., but I’m glad we don’t have an entire class of underemployed perpetual students and academics with lots of free time on their hands.” I don’t think this is the case anymore.

I can’t say for sure, but I’d wager that the white participants are either kids seeking an excuse to have destructive fun and abuse cops with little chance of repercussions, or perpetual students and minor members of the academy seeking an excuse to have destructive fun and abuse cops with little chance of repercussions. There is an overabundance of post-graduate students hanging around the colleges and Universities. There are many, many more Ph.D. candidates than there are full professor jobs. They may teach classes for a pittance and supplement their incomes with menial and gig work and have heaps of non-dischargeable debt. They generally feel like they should be running things because of their credentials and membership in the intellectual class, but they have no direct economic power and mostly get ignored by the people who matter. They have the time and energy to become well versed in the ever evolving field of wokeness. And wokeness gives them the perfect opportunity to express their resentments and turn their self-loathing outward.

I’d also wager that a lot of the logistics and planning for the less than spontaneous riots is being done at our institutions of higher learning with the full knowledge and sanction of the administrations.

It would not have been Kent state, but Napoleon & a whiff of grapeshot. But maybe I’m wrong. They would have been martyrs for chattering classes, but, if Trumped pressed even more with some kind of martial law- then, he would have been a hero.

America’s recent martyrs are all low class criminals basically killed by their own actions.

Many of the blacks that have died recently are serious druggies, alcohol abusers, brains rotted away, who are committing suicide by cop. They are stoned and resisting arrest. They have a conscious or unconscious death wish. I include George Floyd on this list. His family night make millions off this druggie’s death.

Not all 40 million Blacks are participating in the riots, but effectively speaking, are all in sympathy with the rioters, believe the same things as the rioters, and vote accordingly.
The Antifa rioters have the sympathy of the White liberal elected officials, the Media, Deep State and pretty much everyone who holds the reins of power. Not even the President has the power to compel the Justice Department to go after them. They are permitted to operate with impunity and with funding from NGOs.
The “liberals” you mention effectively hold the reins of power and that includes all the firepower they will ever need.

  56. Having your vanguard minority in 2020 have an average IQ two dozen points lower than your vanguard minority in 1968 makes a big difference.

This is similar to the gap that killed the Old South. Last week, I estimated that the average IQ in the CSA states was about 88, and as low as 83 in South Carolina, ground zero of secession, and Mississippi, the second state to go.

It appears I was being exceedingly generous, using the figure of 70 for average slave IQ. That didn’t take literacy into effect. Only about ten percent of slaves had the ability to read. That ability only requires an IQ of ca. 50. That suggests that 90% had even lower intelligence.

After reworking the demographics with (being generous again) an average of 40, the CSA’s new figure is 80, and South Carolina’s drops to 63.

I was predicting the inevitability of the rioting and other social disorder we are seeing now some three months ago. It was an inevitable result of the lock down imposed by our ruling and political classes. My biggest failure was to think that these disorders would primarily involve the urban Negro underclass.

In retrospect it seems obvious that the economic and psychological effects of the lock down on GenXers and GenYers would eventually predispose these young people to mob behavior. The lock down was the final economic insult for these people whose economic futures have already been destroyed by the past policies of our establishment. Besides this, Soros and his ilk have been working assiduously behind the scene to create cadres of violent “revolutionaries” within these age cohorts.

All these people and the violence, arson, looting, vandalism, and other disorders they have created would matter little, since they are so disorganized and devoid of rational plans. Unfortunately, elements of the establishment have taken advantage of the situation to start mounting a real revolution, an overthrow of the current world order and its replacement with one more to their liking.

This is not to say that the elites deliberately engineered the current pandemic, economic collapse, social chaos, and political disorder, although they certainly played and continue to play a major role in creating and fostering these disasters. However, the world’s ruling and political classes have certainly wasted no time in taking advantage of current conditions to further their selfish ends.

All the world’s establishments and their lackeys in the information and culture industries – the MSM, education, arts and entertainment, etc. – now seem to be promoting a concerted message that the current public health, economic, political, and social crises require a globalist solution. In turn, they suggest that this requires: (1) the extirpation of populist, nationalist, and European race realist movements; (2) the elimination of freedom of thought, freedom of inquiry, and freedom of speech as necessary preconditions for achieving this suppression; (3) the replacement of democracy with bureaucratic hierarchies, e.g. as has been progressing in the EU up until now; (4) ceding total control to the establishments, elites and ruling and political classes who got us where we are today. This latter will include an essentially feudal redistribution of wealth, power, status, and moral sanctity, from the proletariat, working classes and middle classes to a very small segment of the population, a subset of our current establishment that probably constitutes less than the 1%, 0.1% or even 0.01% of the population, that are the sobriquets usually applied to this group.

This program is inescapable now. It appears in various guises when I log onto the internet, turn on a television or radio, or read a newspaper or magazine. It is pervasive in “best sellers”, comic books and other popular literature and especially in the “non-fiction” publishing genre. It’s manifest in the attempts to de-platform and otherwise silence opposition voices. It’s impossible to evade and just as impossible to find any countervailing narratives that achieve even a modestly wide distribution.

    The fix is in.

Would these be the same Jews who identify themselves as either “white” or “Caucasian” on a census but have never capitalized “black” or “yellow” or “red” or any other color?

The trend of (almost all progressive) Jews trying to label themselves as non-white is very recent. For most of history, most people with white skin have identified themselves by their ethnicity, and only capitalized actual tribes, religions or ethnicities. This is just basic English grammar here; common nouns vs. proper nouns. European, English, African, Christian and Han get capital letters; black and white do not.

Only woke progressives feel the need to capitalize “Black”, and only rootless Amerimutts feel the need to capitalize “White”. Tell any European that “White” should be capitalized and they’ll think you’re completely insane.

This was the status quo long before Jews came into the scene. White isn’t a tribe and never was. Half of the white people in this country hate you and want you and your children dead.

TL;DR Debt is amplifying the dumbest voices in our society.

An underdiscussed driver of Woke Capitalism and the Great Blackening is consumer credit, which is now 20% of all GDP.

Companies and universities increasingly cater to NAM’s who buy lots of stuff on cheap credit. This has also help prop up the idea that NAM’s are succeeding in the US. Easy for a NAM family to look upwardly mobile in a Ford car commercial, when their yearly income is supplemented with 20k in revolving credit card debt and auto loans. After all, Whitey will eventually pick up the tab, right?

In wake of Covid, it would be straightforward to pass anti-usury laws and student loan caps, which will dry up credit for NAM’s, reducing their influence for consumer-based companies, and indirectly, woke advertising as a whole.

Or – since this is the internet – in other words: civil steps are necessary so that the NYT can go on expressing opinions, but streams of causality, i.e.: levers of power – are cut off from the opinions it expresses, so that most people don’t need to care what that megaphone says – at what point does it become obvious we need to effect this somehow?

Explain to me how the nationally-irresponsible acts of the NYT do not amount to a Hitler-like scorched-earth view that if he was going to go down, then Germany would go with him? How is it different that the NYT sees a future without itself, so it effects this incitation so that there’s no future for anyone?

Rich-dad-Poor-dad guy has published some speculation that the lock-downs were a distraction. That was before all of this.

I’ve wondered if he was right and if so – what could they be trying to distract us from?

My best guess is – the trillions the Fed has printed since January and gifted billionaires (I mean to say “purchased corporate bonds with”).

I think it’s oh something like $4 tril – or over $12000/person or more than $31,000/household.

Imagine if we faced the COVID crisis by just giving out $31000/household. There more or less wouldn’t be an economic issue and woke people would have spending to do, not protesting.

But if you were a lucky recipient of some share of that $4 trillion in the corrupt form it was actually distributed, wouldn’t you prefer that people were distracted with CHAZ and statues and other woke stuff?

  76. As is usual in our current Orwellian world, those who rule us want us to quickly forget the past. Less than a year ago, the MSM news was as full of stories about opioid overdose deaths as it is now of stories about the Covid-19 pandemic, the largely imaginary problem of police targeting Negroes for unwarranted attention, and left wing and other mob violence. Everyone seems to have forgotten the problem of opioid OD deaths, which are annually killing Americans at levels greater than those during the Vietnam War, numbers of deaths nearly the same order of magnitude as deaths attributed Covid-19 and actually a greater order of magnitude if one considers the cumulative number of opioid OD deaths over the last decade or so.

I was an epidemiologist in my state public health department, tracking the opioid abuse epidemic just before I retired, about three years ago. I recently spoke with the woman who managed my unit within the department. The public health lock down has actually increased the numbers of those dying of opioid overdoses. This is not surprising when one considers that the lock down has not significantly affected illegal drug markets. (One of these has to be where George Floyd got the Fentanyl that killed him.) The lock down has also made it more likely people will use illicit opioids and ultimately OD in isolation. Other poorly thought out Covid-19 policies have ensured that even if an ODing opioid abuser is detected, he’s far less likely to get an appropriate, life saving medical intervention than he was before the lock down.

To add insult to injury, my colleague told me that it is the policy in our state to test those who die of an opioid overdose for Covid-19 infection and/or SARS-COV-2 antibodies and report any positives as Covid-19 related deaths, no matter how little a Covid-19 infection contributed to death. In other words, opioid OD deaths are being deliberately under-reported and Covid-19 deaths are being deliberately over-reported.

I suspect that what is true in my state is true in all the forty-nine others.

I hope that someone will read this post and give it wider distribution. I suspect that the MSM are deliberately suppressing this important story so that it will not interfere with their current narrative.

“Hispanic” is becoming meaningless. Hispanics will eventually identify as, or be identified as, black, white, or indigenous. Hispanic will become the new mulatto – seldom used, and never used for formal racial categorization.

Needless to say, “indigenous Europeans” will remain a bizarre racist fantasy.

Meanwhile, Muslims and Chinese, as a body, and to a lesser extent, Sikhs and Hindus, will continue to refer to themselves as POC only for political advantage and bureaucratic maneuvering. POCs are not their people, they are their own people. They hold blacks in contempt and are indifferent to the indigenous. And of course “indigenous“ in their worldview would include white Australians, Canadians and Americans.

I lived through the 1960s as a teenager and young adult. In 1964, I graduated from high school, enlisted in the Air Force, and qualified to begin college in the fall of 1964. I recall no Jewish Baby Boomers playing any significant role in the decade beyond Lesley Gore, who was the first Baby Boomer to chart a #1 single on Billboard’s Top 100 with “It’s My Party” in the summer of 1964.

In my student Co-op, the NY and LA Jewish students would meet weekly for their “How to Overthrow America” meeting. I listened and thought they were nuts. Here they were living in undisputedly the best Society the world had ever seen, and these privileged arrogant brats wanted to overthrow the USA.

To get an idea, watch the Documentary “Berkeley in the 60’s” about the Free Speech Movement. Note how it is all driven by Jews! In this documentary, an old radical admits that, “We didn’t have a plan for what came next, we just wanted to overthrow the system.”

  106. I’m sure many of us are puzzled by the Maoist’s insistence on the tagline “black lives matter” to the exclusion of any other racial or ethnic group. It is forbidden to qualify that silliness by saying something along the lines of “well of course, black lives matter, but so do all of ours too”. That is strictly forbidden by the speech police.

Surely their insistence on “black lives matter” is driven by a nagging fear that those lives don’t actually matter to the exaggerated degree they would like.

Another example of this sort of thing was Chris Cuomo saying “ I can handle things! I’m smart! Not like everybody says…like dumb…I’m smart and I want respect”.

I have no illusions about blacks; just, they are not the human material for any real revolution. You can’t do anything with them, as Che Guevara had noted. What they can create is, max, a limited chaos which eventually collapses unto itself. Against any organized force they don’t stand the chance, as Brazil with the police & the military combing the favellas has shown.

Regarding liberal, white hating media- you overestimate their influence. They seem so dominant, but- that’s an optical illusion. Their antifa rabble is a bunch of hysterical wusses (unlike formidable historical anarchist terrorists). Also, most of the police, anywhere, as well as the military are so against liberal-hysterical rabble that no amount of MSM whitewashing can change it. These morons have, actually, helped Trump the most when he was in real trouble- many of his supporters starting to dismiss him as a fraud. It’s like when Austro-Hungary deliberately sent a letter of insane demands to Serbia to pretend it had negotiated with them first.

Massacring the royal family and cutting off the Queen’s breast and carrying it around in ones wallet, as Captain Dragutin Dimitrijević of the Serbian General Staff did, in 1903 and was lauded in parliament as “the saviour of the fatherland” and appointed Professor of Tactics at the Military Academy for, is rather more insane that anything that can be laid at the door of Austro-Hungary. For his next trick Dimitrijević and his little group decided to start a a world war with the assassination of the Archduke. The weapons came from the Serbian state armory and the Serbian Prime Minister found out about the plot but let it go ahead. And that is just what we know about. The PM had Dimitrijević arrested convicted at a secret trial and shot in 1917. After WW1, Serbia had doubled in size, so Dimitrijević’s plot achieved total success, even if he knew too much to be allowed to live and claim the credit.

When it comes to committing acts of violence, women are no more effective than an average preteen boy. For various reasons, the murders masterminded by Manson are attributed to the whole “family”, when it really was the men who did the dirty work. If you read the details on the Tate-LaBianca murders, it turns out that it was Tex Watson who killed them all and his henchwomen almost botched it. I guess he could have done it alone all the same.

What’s more puzzling is that, despite the vicious high-profile murder of a world-famous pregnant woman, which is the worst kind of PR you can get, the counterculture movement neither died out nor was it violently suppressed by the proponents of law and order, and instead won, its leaders canonized.

    Tuesday, June 23, 2020

Joint Statement from U.S. Attorney Jay E. Town and FBI Special Agent in Charge Johnnie Sharp, Jr. Regarding the Noose Found in NASCAR’s Bubba Wallace’s Garage at Talladega Superspeedway
“On Monday, fifteen FBI special agents conducted numerous interviews regarding the situation at Talladega Superspeedway. After a thorough review of the facts and evidence surrounding this event, we have concluded that no federal crime was committed.

The FBI learned that garage number 4, where the noose was found, was assigned to Bubba Wallace last week. The investigation also revealed evidence, including authentic video confirmed by NASCAR, that the noose found in garage number 4 was in that garage as early as October 2019. Although the noose is now known to have been in garage number 4 in 2019, nobody could have known Mr. Wallace would be assigned to garage number 4 last week.

The decision not to pursue federal charges is proper after reviewing all available facts and all applicable federal laws. We offer our thanks to NASCAR, Mr. Wallace, and everyone who cooperated with this investigation.””

  162. @Steve in Greensboro

Ok Here’s the thing (I am putting aside the question of my own approval or disapproval just to untangle this particular ball of string…)

    1. “Black Lives Matter” is the name of a political movement which intends to address certain very specific political issues which it considers to be of great urgency.

    2. As such, the phrase “Black lives matter” is a slogan, a rallying cry, a flashpoint. It is not a statement in a class about philosophical ethics, which is intended to be followed by other statements. It’s purpose is political and specific, not universal and ethical.

    3. It therefore insists upon its own, sole integrity and importance. In philosophy it is obvious that “all lives matter,” but BLM is not doing philosophy, they are doing politics.

    4. Therefore, in the ears of the BLM movement, when they hear someone counter them by saying “all lives matter” they get angry — not because they don’t value all lives, but because you are changing the subject and therefore attempting to negate their goal.

    5. Once you understand that “Black lives matter” is not an ethics statement, it is a political cri de coueur, then it makes sense to admit that to them, the statement “All lives matter” sounds like you’re saying “2 plus 2 equals elephant.” It is a nonsensical and offensive statement /within their chosen framework/.

Anyhow, Secular Jewish men in today’s world are mostly kind to their wives. If they’re not uber feminist, they’re usually door mats. Even Orthodox Jewish men, who are taught that men deserve to be powerful and dominant in the family kowtow to their wives on non-religious matters.

I think the Jewish penchant for intellectual sparring that Steve spoke of is the legacy of Talmudic debate, which celebrated and elevated Rabbinic disagreements (in Hebrew: Makhloket) and elaborate back and forth discussion (in Hebrew: Pilpel) over obscure minutiae of Jewish law. Orthodox Jews spend their days poring over these elephantic volumes of endless rambling discussion. For example, there are page long debates over what the exact quantity of matzah one must consume on passover, how much milk turns a pot of meat non-kosher, which direction to light the Hanukkah candles, what is the exact date of Yom Kippur, and it goes on and on and on. Here’s a funny comedy but on how Talmudic scholars would discuss the topic of Christmas trees.

Back to Steve’s point, I believe secular Jews have been attracted to highly theoretical intellectual movements because they inherited a mental skill set from generations of intellectual grooming in the art of theoretical debate and discussion.

Quantum Physics, Radical Politics, and Left Leaning Social Sciences, for instance, rely heavily on back and forth debate over seemingly trivial minutiae (the spin of a quark, relative merits of various gender pronouns, socialist in-fighting) that have little practical consequence but large symbolic value.

The fierce debates among Trotskyists and Near-Trotskyists at City college of New York are what shaped many of the 20th century’s top Jewish intellectuals and Neocon political analysts. (https://books.google.com/books?id=7s4aOv-L5N4C&lpg=PA29&ots=v4JJjW1lE7&dq=trotskyists%20factions%20city%20college.&pg=PA29#v=onepage&q=trotskyists%20factions%20city%20college.&f=false)

So, Steve made some great points about Jewish impact on left wing intellectual discourse, especially on race. Whether Jews as a rule are male chauvinists, I’ll have to see the evidence.

P.S. The major evolutionary theory of Jewish intelligence says that the top Talmud scholar would get the most resources and have the most offspring, thus passing on his intellectual genes. The truth is that until recently, full time Talmud scholars made up less that 1% of the Jewish population. My personal belief is that neuroplastic changes can explain Jewish intellectual patterns more theories purely based on natural selection.

Recent Studies of neuroplasticity show that certain changes in the brain (mostly caused by malnutrition, but also the kind that can take place from lifelong Talmud study) can be passed down to one’s children. Therefore, one need not be the best Talmud scholar and have reproductive success to pass on the intellectual gene, one just need be conditioned daily over a long period of time and then those changes are passed along.

Susan Rosenberg and William Ayers are former members of Weather Underground, communist revolutionaries convicted for terrorism. Bill Clinton pardons Rosenberg on his last day in office. Ayers goes on to become a financier for Obama’s campaign. Years later, Rosenberg runs the board of Directors for Thousand Currents (1000C), formerly IDEX. IDEX is a effectively a money handler for NGOs and foreign governments for communist revolutionaries and so is 1000C. They funnel some money through to BLM but are effectively the money exchange for everyone else who is dumping money into BLM (they provide audit and financial services, among others). Another member of the 1000C board is Fahad Ahmad of Soliya fame. Soliya had money funneled into it by the US State Department (Hillary Clinton), Qatar, Bezos, Norway and others. 1000C is clearly operating with the consent of Ahmad and Rosenberg, proxies and beneficiaries of the Clintons. BLM is receiving money from the same groups that fund 1000C and there is overlap and indirect financing provided by the likes of Borealis Foundation, OSF (Soros), Kellogg, Ford, etc. This money is then funneled to support ActBlue LLC which is the money exchange for ActBlue PAC which has dumped $100s of millions in to Bernie, Warren and Biden. Yet BLM is a Delaware Corp and can’t be just receiving all these funds legally so 1000C and Borealis have to be dug into which brings up the $100M dumped into the Black-Led Movement Fund by the Ford Foundation and Borealis. So now we have vast numbers of people with a piece of paper saying they are a college graduate obtained with lots of borrowed money who have found it isn’t really a golden ticket after all. Higher ed has prepped this battlespace by indoctrinating their students with the idea that society is organized against them, and when they get out into the world and find employers aren’t jumping at the chance to hire a graduate of a 3rd tier university with a major in ethnic studies, the prophecy has been fulfilled.

Not only that! The conversion of universities from centers of genuine scholarship, where young people learned how to reason, into indoctrination camps, where they are merely taught to repeat received wisdom, has been facilitated by the admission of those vast numbers of people. The great majority of them would never have been considered college material in the past. The curriculum had to be “dumbed down” to accommodate them, and to feed the growth industry that is now laughably called higher education.

Instead of the current belief that “the answer is higher ed for everyone,” a more realistic approach would have been to recognize that perhaps 10% of high-school graduates are genuinely suited by ability and drive for a traditional 4-year college education.

The old system of distribution requirements used to weed those with weaker intellects and poorer work ethics out of a college class before the junior year. Mandating that students spend the first two years of a four-year curriculum on demanding courses in foreign languages, calculus, or the history of Western civilization, was justified by bromides about a “well-rounded education,” but also had the mostly-unacknowledged function of culling the less bright or less motivated. Needless to say, this is why such requirements were unpopular with students.

That faculties and administrators conceded fifty years ago to the demand that “Western Civ has got to go” (meaning the course) goes far to explain why, today’s rioters demand that we get rid of Western civilization itself.

I strongly disagree, unless you believe ivy league professors are not a part of “the elite.”

The fact is young people have been indoctrinated by our school system for at least a decade, and the rioting, and general hysteria is the inevitable outcome of Yale “Safe Spaces,” and other cult-like rules and rituals designed to weaken young minds. Riots and irrational discord was inevitable, and it’s only going to continue, as long as tenure ivy league professors continue to dominate the higher educational landscape.

One of a few college professors accurately predicted our social predicament a long time ago. He’s a declared liberal, he was in the trenches, and has direct experience with the indoctrination process of our colleges, although his was a particularly progressive one, it only underscores the mindset of the abusers and the victims of our greater educational system. If you have time, I suggest you take a look at this recent interview of him laying out where he believes we are now.

Ever since he stopped smoking crack he’s buffed up and gotten super serious and not very funny. I watched his new standup the other day, it was terrible. It was a sob session about George Floyd, the audience was looked financially secure & vaguely black. I’m not sure if they were actually black because every one of them was fully in compliance with CDC guidelines of masks and social distancing, and none of them laughed the entire show. In their defense nothing Chappelle said was remotely funny. You might be onto something with your theory of this being the end of “black = cool.” Sports ball is dead and will never recover. It took forever for the NHL, MLB, And NBA to recover from their lockouts. Now imagine what will happen to the NFL and college football. With no monetary fantasy pools, with no red-zone streams from the Ukraine to pirate, does anyone really care? Pop music has actually been dead since Napster but I’ll throw that in for arguments sake. Stand up comedy is dead, the most famous stand up comedian of 2020 is arguably joe rogan he’s straight up not funny. Chappelle can’t be funny because minstrel comedy has been canceled and that was literally his entire schtick. The association of blacks with a certain level of coolness seems dead.

Did he notice a similar ratcheting upwards of the “intellectual intensity” of the freshman class when an even larger and brighter cohort of Asians entered?

I suspect “intellectual intensity” is just a euphemism for “they argued with the teacher more”. The polite, genteel, deferential WASP kids contrasted against the loud, demonstrative Meds. He probably would’ve seen the same thing a few years earlier when the Italians came in.

The Weimar Republic performed passably from about 1924 to about 1929. From 1933 to 1938, the Hitler regime had a menu of important successes. It was abusive (not yet murderous) to a set of small populations. A dear friend of mine whose father (then a faculty member at Columbia) was very much involved in efforts on behalf of German Jews, told me of meeting in 1938 someone his father’s organization had aided in emigrating. Appearing Sunday on The Michael Brooks Show, leftist professor Noam Chomsky claimed President Donald Trump is “undeniably” the “worst criminal in human history.”

MICHAEL BROOKS: Could you explain why what Donald Trump is doing institutionally actually is unique and does matter on its own terms?

NOAM CHOMSKY: This sounds strong, but it’s true: Trump is the worst criminal in human history, undeniably. There has never been a figure in political history who was so passionately dedicated to destroying the projects for organized human life on earth in the near future.

That is not an exaggeration. People are focused now on the protests; the pandemic is serious enough that we will emerge from it at terrible cost. The cost is greatly amplified by the gangster in the White House, who has killed tens of thousands of Americans, making this the worst place in the world. We will emerge; we’re not going to emerge from another crime that Trump has committed, the heating of the globe. The worst of it is coming — we’re not going to emerge from that.

The ice sheets are melting; they’re not going to recover. That leads to an exponential increase in global warming. Arctic glaciers, for example, could flood the world. Recent studies indicate that on the present course, in about fifty years, much of the habitable part of the world will be unlivable. You won’t be able to live in parts of South Asia, parts of the Middle East, parts of the United States. We’re approaching the point of 125,000 years ago, when sea levels were about twenty-five feet higher than they are now. And it’s worse than that. The Scripps Oceanographic Institute just came out with a study that estimated that we are coming ominously close to a point [similar to] three million years ago, when sea levels were 50 to 80 feet higher than they are today.

All around the world, countries are trying to do something about it. But there is one country which is led by a president who wants to escalate the crisis, to race toward the abyss, to maximize the use of fossil fuels, including the most dangerous of them, and to dismantle the regulatory apparatus that limits their impact. There is no crime like this in human history. Nothing. This is a unique individual. And it’s not as if he doesn’t know what he’s doing. Of course, he does. It’s as if he doesn’t care. If he can pour more profits into his pockets and the pockets of his rich constituency tomorrow, who cares if the world disappears in a couple of generations?

Fact check: Chomsky claims Trump is “passionately committed.” Pants on fire unless he’s mispronouncing “sort of.”

    Bullshit.

Yeah. It’s bizarre to assert that “half” of American Whites want to kill off their fellow Whites. Literally impossible to imagine.

From my experience, “self-hating” White Gentiles are maybe 5% of the White population. Another 10-20% could be considered generic liberal.

From my experience, if you’re dealing with a “self-hating” White, they usually fall into one of the following categories.

    1. Jewish.
    2. White Gentile who’s being pressured/intimidated into submission.
    3. Ambitious White Gentile who’s trying to climb the ladder.

It’s interesting that despite all the “self-hate” that Whites seem to exude these days, you almost never see any pro-Palestinian activism. Other than fringe leftist circles, nobody ever speaks up for the beleaguered Palestinians, who’ve had their land stolen, homes destroyed, and been forced to become refugees in their own homeland.

It’s interesting that so many White Democrats (like Pelosi) are so effusive in their praise of Israel. If Pelosi hates her “Whiteness” so much, why would she support a White supremacist state in the Middle East? Since the Palestinians are swarthy Arabic-speakers who follow Islam, shouldn’t they be favored over the Jews?

It’s weird how the rules are always suspended for Israel.

I love how they feel they have to remind you of what nooses are and what they (may) symbolize.

    2. Second paragraph of the same article:

Six separate incidents that were initially thought to be racist displays have turned out to be false alarms, Tuesday’s count of the incidents revealed.

The article then goes on to catalogue noose incidents such as:

. . . . what witnesses thought was a noose strung to a tree at a park in Harlem turned out to be a rope that construction workers were using to hoist building materials up a scaffold.

Five ropes found hanging from trees in an Oakland city park were determined to be merely exercise equipment that a Black resident put up months ago,

. . . .multiple nooses found hanging in Kelly Ingram Park turned out to be an art display in observance of Juneteenth, according to reports.

a children’s swing set in the yard of an Oklahoma City couple also caused ripples with social media users, who said the ropes looked like a noose without the swing . . . . The grandfather who lives at the home told the station he would likely take down the ropes to avoid further confusion.

In the interests of fairness, the article did also reveal some incidents of morons posting nooses on social media.

Ron Jeremy Charged With Raping Three Women
11:19 AM PDT 6/23/2020 by Ryan Parker

Prosecutors are recommending bail at $6.6 million.
Ron Jeremy on Tuesday was charged by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office with raping three women and sexually assaulting a fourth.

The adult film star was charged with three counts each of forcible rape and forcible penetration by a foreign object and one count each of forcible oral copulation and sexual battery, according to the district attorney’s office.

Born Ronald Jeremy Hyatt, the 67-year-old is accused of forcibly raping a 25-year-old woman at a home in West Hollywood, according to authorities. Hyatt allegedly sexually assaulted two women, ages 33 and 46, on separate occasions at a West Hollywood bar in 2017.

Hyatt also is accused of forcibly raping a 30-year-old woman at the same bar in July 2019.

The district attorney noted the office declined a case against Hyatt due to insufficient evidence stemming from an alleged incident in 2016.

If convicted as charged, the defendant faces a possible maximum sentence of 90 years to life in state prison.

His arraignment was initially scheduled for Tuesday afternoon, but was continued to Friday. Jeremy remains in jail, his bail set at $6.6 million.

For those opposed to the war, it was a get-out-of-jail-free card. In 1965, that changed.

By the way, at one time in Tsarist Russia all Jews with secondary education were exempt from being drafted into the army. But then the policy was changed, which Jews greatly resented.

    Two funny stories this a.m.

    1. Twitter storm about Bloomberg referring to Palantir co-founder (with Peter Thiel) as “half black,” in the context of a story partly about the lack of diversity of its board.

    https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-06-24/palantir-adds-first-woman-to-board-ahead-of-stock-listing?sref=18veDlX6

Karp looks like an Ashskenazi Jew, which I think his father was (pediatrician, mother an artist?), but nowhere is any profile I can find does it say his mom was black. Somehow Bloomberg knew that and wrote it. But apparenlty “half black” is as politically incorrect as “octoroon” even if the guy doesn’t identify as black. “Mixed race with a white father and a light skinned Jamaican mother” (or whatever his situation is) is how you are probably supposed to do it.

    https://www.forbes.com/sites/andygreenberg/2013/08/14/agent-of-intelligence-how-a-deviant-philosopher-built-palantir-a-cia-funded-data-mining-juggernaut/#513e6e017785

Karp may not have any visible black characteristics, but he does have one black behavioral characteristic: He went to law school at Stanford, but bailed out of law as a career and never practiced it. But he became a billionaire on Thiel’s coattails, so good for him.

    2. Chicago fails to get blacks into elite public high schools:

    https://www.wbez.org/stories/new-cps-application-didnt-improve-access-for-black-students-in-first-year/bd4bab95-e45b-4b26-8920-46c830d7f2f3

A new centralized high school application process was intended to expose Chicago students to more options, but low-income and black students continued to be more likely than others to attend poor-performing high schools ….

Less than half of all black ninth graders enrolled in highly rated schools and a quarter landed in the high schools with the worst ratings….

Sartain said there could be several reasons for this. Among them, she said students might want to go to schools close to home, and there are fewer highly rated schools in black neighborhoods….

Another issue could be that some of the highly rated schools and programs have grade or test-score cutoffs in order to apply. Sartain notes that performance on standardized tests is closely correlated with race and socioeconomic status.

“It could be the case that black students, for example, are less likely to meet those sort of eligibility requirements,” she said.

The original redo of the application was because it was just too complicated for black people to figure out, apparently. They are thinking about making it even simpler by eliminating special forms for International Baccalaureate and military school.

Applying for a high school seems to be an IQ test in itself. They are going to have to just force black kids to go to elite high schools, without the necessity of any application procedure. And maybe move all the elite schools to black neighborhoods.

Heg became a rising young politician who found slavery abhorrent. He was the first Norwegian-born candidate elected statewide in Wisconsin.

He soon joined the recently formed Republican Party. He was an outspoken anti-slavery activist and a leader of Wisconsin’s Wide Awakes, an anti-slave catcher militia.[4][5] During this time, he sheltered Sherman Booth, who was made a federal fugitive after inciting a mob to rescue an escaped slave.

  248. While these post-modern leftists movements are emotionally intense and elicit a lot of MSM support, they compete against each other, and are ultimately limited in their overall reach. For example, almost every year these days we have an intense, highly theatrical leftists movement (BLM in the later Obama years, and again 2o2o, gays and transgenders in 2014-2015, Me To in 2018, climate change child messiahs in 2019).

However, the mainstream centre-left, which translates left-wing activist dreams and slogans into real world politics, is rapidly losing support in most western countries, and the US Democrats have gone backwards in electing a stale, pale male with dementia symptoms as their chosen champion to stop the nationalist populist counter revolution. The left has also run out of new ideas. For example, after WWT in 2015, there was an aborted attempt to start WWQ in 2016. However, the revolt of the “theys” lacked numbers (or was just too radical) and was easily defeated by right-wing liberals like Jordan Peterson. And since then its just been an intense recycling of old ideas that are even a lot of progs are finding tiresome.

    OCTOBER 31, 2019

The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestinian Christians that Nobody is Talking About

    by RAMZY BAROUD

Palestine’s Christian population is dwindling at an alarming rate. The world’s most ancient Christian community is moving elsewhere. And the reason for this is Israel.

Christian leaders from Palestine and South Africa sounded the alarm at a conference in Johannesburg on October 15. Their gathering was titled: “The Holy Land: A Palestinian Christian Perspective”.

One major issue that highlighted itself at the meetings is the rapidly declining number of Palestinian Christians in Palestine.

There are varied estimates on how many Palestinian Christians are still living in Palestine today, compared with the period before 1948 when the state of Israel was established atop Palestinian towns and villages. Regardless of the source of the various studies, there is near consensus that the number of Christian inhabitants of Palestine has dropped by nearly ten-fold in the last 70 years.

A population census carried out by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics in 2017 concluded that there are 47,000 Palestinian Christians living in Palestine – with reference to the Occupied West Bank, East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip. 98 percent of Palestine’s Christians live in the West Bank – concentrated mostly in the cities of Ramallah, Bethlehem and Jerusalem – while the remainder, a tiny Christian community of merely 1,100 people, lives in the besieged Gaza Strip.

The demographic crisis that had afflicted the Christian community decades ago is now brewing.

For example, 70 years ago, Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus Christ, was 86 percent Christian. The demographics of the city, however, have fundamentally shifted, especially after the Israeli occupation of the West Bank in June 1967, and the construction of the illegal Israeli apartheid wall, starting in 2002. Parts of the wall were meant to cut off Bethlehem from Jerusalem and to isolate the former from the rest of the West Bank.

“The Wall encircles Bethlehem by continuing south of East Jerusalem in both the east and west,” the ‘Open Bethlehem’ organization said, describing the devastating impact of the wall on the Palestinian city. “With the land isolated by the Wall, annexed for settlements, and closed under various pretexts, only 13% of the Bethlehem district is available for Palestinian use.”

Increasingly beleaguered, Palestinian Christians in Bethlehem have been driven out from their historic city in large numbers. According to the city’s mayor, Vera Baboun, as of 2016, the Christian population of Bethlehem has dropped to 12 percent, merely 11,000 people.

The most optimistic estimates place the overall number of Palestinian Christians in the whole of Occupied Palestine at less than two percent.

The correlation between the shrinking Christian population in Palestine, and the Israeli occupation and apartheid should be unmistakable, as it is obvious to Palestine’s Christian and Muslim population alike.

A study conducted by Dar al-Kalima University in the West Bank town of Beit Jala and published in December 2017, interviewed nearly 1,000 Palestinians, half of them Christian and the other half Muslim. One of the main goals of the research was to understand the reason behind the depleting Christian population in Palestine.

The study concluded that “the pressure of Israeli occupation, ongoing constraints, discriminatory policies, arbitrary arrests, confiscation of lands added to the general sense of hopelessness among Palestinian Christians,” who are finding themselves in “a despairing situation where they can no longer perceive a future for their offspring or for themselves”.

Unfounded claims that Palestinian Christians are leaving because of religious tensions between them and their Muslim brethren are, therefore, irrelevant.

Gaza is another case in point. Only 2 percent of Palestine’s Christians live in the impoverished and besieged Gaza Strip. When Israel occupied Gaza along with the rest of historic Palestine in 1967, an estimated 2,300 Christians lived in the Strip. However, merely 1,100 Christians still live in Gaza today. Years of occupation, horrific wars and an unforgiving siege can do that to a community, whose historic roots date back to two millennia.

Like Gaza’s Muslims, these Christians are cut off from the rest of the world, including the holy sites in the West Bank. Every year, Gaza’s Christians apply for permits from the Israeli military to join Easter services in Jerusalem and Bethlehem. Last April, only 200 Christians were granted permits, but on the condition that they must be 55 years of age or older and that they are not allowed to visit Jerusalem.

The Israeli rights group, Gisha, described the Israeli army decision as “a further violation of Palestinians’ fundamental rights to freedom of movement, religious freedom and family life”, and, rightly, accused Israel of attempting to “deepen the separation” between Gaza and the West Bank.

In fact, Israel aims at doing more than that. Separating Palestinian Christians from one another, and from their holy sites (as is the case for Muslims, as well), the Israeli government hopes to weaken the socio-cultural and spiritual connections that give Palestinians their collective identity.

Israel’s strategy is predicated on the idea that a combination of factors – immense economic hardships, permanent siege and apartheid, the severing of communal and spiritual bonds – will eventually drive all Christians out of their Palestinian homeland.

Israel is keen to present the ‘conflict’ in Palestine as a religious one so that it could, in turn, brand itself as a beleaguered Jewish state in the midst of a massive Muslim population in the Middle East. The continued existence of Palestinian Christians does not factor nicely into this Israeli agenda.

Sadly, however, Israel has succeeded in misrepresenting the struggle in Palestine – from that of political and human rights struggle against settler colonialism – into a religious one. Equally disturbing, Israel’s most ardent supporters in the United States and elsewhere are religious Christians.

It must be understood that Palestinian Christians are neither aliens nor bystanders in Palestine. They have been victimized equally as their Muslim brethren, and have also played a major role in defining the modern Palestinian identity, through their resistance, spirituality, deep connection to the land, artistic contributions and burgeoning scholarship.

Israel must not be allowed to ostracize the world’s most ancient Christian community from their ancestral land so that it may score a few points in its deeply disturbing drive for racial supremacy.

Equally important, our understanding of the legendary Palestinian ‘soumoud’ – steadfastness – and of solidarity cannot be complete without fully appreciating the centrality of Palestinian Christians to the modern Palestinian narrative and identity.

I’ve seen reports about that for the last three decades. Clearly, the job hasn’t been carried out to completion.

What proportion of Palestinians are Christian? I remember that the best known hijacker of the 1970s, when that technique really, er, took off, was George Habash, who was a Christian. This complicated the narrative about Palestinians being written in the New York Times, so they simply stopped referring to his religion after a while.

    The white-black dichotomy is misleading:
Black skin colour is not the problem, it never was. The Bantus and their lifestyle are. The Pygmy are not a problem, the Khoisan are not a problem, neither are the Ethiopians. Similarly, Sri Lankans or southern Indians are ‘black’ yet mostly are hardworking, peace-loving, and productive people, even more so than their northern white or brown fellow nationals.
Black or White is not the relevant distinction here. It is the contemporary Western practice of ‘easy food, easy sex’ that puts you guys in this position, not your whiteness. Interestingly, and not surprisingly though, over the last 50 years Western societies have come closer to the Bantu lifestyle, i.e. low marital commitment, low (direct) parental engagement, and low level of household stability, which ultimately lead to low social trust and fragmentation, and eventually to chaos and conflict. This is the main reason why current Westerners are so weak and disorganised.
Don’t complain about the Bantu takeover because you Westerners are emulating them for the last half a century.
Just like it is for current Westerners though, I suspect that the dysfunction of Bantu societies are not in their genes but rather in their upbringing and their family systems, or the lack thereof to be more precise.

There was this article on RT about counting deaths in the UK:

I’ve signed death certificates during Covid-19. Here’s why you can’t trust any of the statistics on the number of victims

    – There is no methodology for assigning “reason of death” to COVID-19
    – When in doubt or too lazy or overworked with all the death certificates, lump it together with COVID-19

I do know that other doctors put down Covid-19 on anyone who died from early March onwards. I didn’t. What can be made of the statistics created from data like these? And does it matter?

It matters greatly for two main reasons. First, if we vastly overestimate deaths from Covid-19, we will greatly underestimate the harm caused by the lockdown. This issue was looked at in a recent article published in the BMJ, The British Medical Journal. It stated:

“Only a third of the excess deaths seen in the community in England and Wales can be explained by Covid-19.

…David Spiegelhalter, chair of the Winton Centre for Risk and Evidence Communication at the University of Cambridge, said that Covid-19 did not explain the high number of deaths taking place in the community.”

“At a briefing hosted by the Science Media Centre on May 12 he explained that, over the past five weeks, care homes and other community settings had had to deal with a ‘staggering burden’ of 30,000 more deaths than would normally be expected, as patients were moved out of hospitals that were anticipating high demand for beds.

Of those 30,000, only 10 000 have had Covid-19 specified on the death certificate. While Spiegelhalter acknowledged that some of these ‘excess deaths’ might be the result of underdiagnosis, ‘the huge number of unexplained extra deaths in homes and care homes is extraordinary. When we look back . . . this rise in non-covid extra deaths outside the hospital is something I hope will be given really severe attention.’ He added that many of these deaths would be among people ‘who may well have lived longer if they had managed to get to hospital.’”

What Speigelhalter is saying here is that people may well be dying ‘because of’ Covid, or rather, because of the lockdown. Because they are not going to hospital to be treated for conditions other than Covid. We know that A&E attendances have fallen by over fifty percent since lockdown. Admissions with chest pain have dropped by over fifty percent. Did these people just die at home?

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bonus_Army#Army_intervention

On July 28, 1932, President Hoover ordered the Secretary of War to disperse the protesters. Towards the late afternoon, cavalry, infantry, tanks and machine guns pushed the “Bonusers” out of Washington. When the veterans moved back into the camp, police drew their revolvers and shot at the veterans, two of whom, William Hushka and Eric Carlson, died later.

On July 28 under prodding from the White House the D.C. Commissioners ordered Glassford to clear their buildings, rather than letting the protesters drift away as he had previously recommended. When the two veterans were shot, the Commissioners asked the White House for federal troops. Hoover passed the request to Secretary of War Hurley, who told MacArthur to take action.

MacArthur does his MacArthur stuff, some people die.

Though the Bonus Army incident did not derail the careers of the military officers involved, it proved politically disastrous for Hoover, and it is considered a contributing factor to his losing the 1932 election in a landslide to Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Police Superintendent Glassford was not pleased with the decision to have the Army intervene, believing that the police could have handled the situation. He soon resigned as superintendent.

Schaaf said officials must “start with the assumption that these are hate crimes.” However, the mayor and Nicholas Williams, the city’s director of parks recreation, also said it didn’t matter whether the ropes were meant to send a racist message.

“Intentions don’t matter when it comes to terrorizing the public,” Schaaf said. “It is incumbent on all of us to know the actual history of racial violence, of terrorism, that a noose represents and that we as a city must remove these terrorizing symbols from the public view.”

And thus a new entry in the Newspeak dictionary:

Weaver was buds with the way-too-easy rather hacky Christopher Durang, so definitions of “hilarious” may vary.

Streep was of course married to the brilliantly hilarious John Cazale, a man whose deadpan was so perfect he could get a gigantic laugh just by saying the word “Wyoming.” Maybe she had to recover from his tragic death before she could get funny. As far as I can tell, Streep’s only truly great comedic turn is “The Devil Wears Prada,” but it’s probably the best female comic role in recent memory.

They came to prominence in the 60s (with some spillover into the 70s), they were Jewish, and they were characterized, and likely would themselves have associated themselves with the characterization, as hippies. All true as stated.

While the details you supplied are interesting and informative, Ian did not make the contention against which you mistakenly fulminated. But again, thanks for your information.

But your post serves as a cautionary tale against the common flaw of presuming, merely because one was a member of some “generational cohort”, that that “cohort” possessed the status and social position to have been the agent for political and social changes occcuring during the given time period during which they were becoming young adults. As often as not, the generations preceding the “cohort” in question were the ones who really had the influence. Maybe the members of that “cohort” espoused certain ideas, but often they are very much under the tutelage of a prior generation; think of Gramsci’s March Through the Institutions as a good example. The young, ahistorical leftist nitwits of today are a product of cultivation and indoctrination of prior generations, ramping up their current thoroughgoing ignorance across an arc of several preceding generations.

“Black” means different people in different cultural frameworks, but in the Anglosphere, and increasingly in the rest of the world, “black” is short for Sub-Saharan African and “white” is short for European. Everybody understands that because it’s so easy to distinguish.

Noone will ever confuse a South Indian or a Sri Lankan for an African. It’s even pretty easy to figure out the genetic background of someone who’s mixed race, regardless of skin tone.

And the level of dysfunction in a society is directly influenced by its racial composition, because your genes also dictate your behaviour, and differences in behaviour become apparent the larger the sample size. So don’t bring up anecdotal examples of really smart or unathletic blacks or super fast whites; there’s plenty of them, but on average the results are always the same.

They’re atypically able to comport themselves well in white environments, and a lifetime of easy lifting awaits if they’re just pleasant, affable, and easygoing. Their job in corporate America, white shoe law firms, and similar is to fill tacit quotas and make the white people who work there feel good about having an official black friend.

Or is it the fact that they’re attracted to the iconoclasm out of a sense of excitement, and they believe that their excitement and social feeling is the necessary ingredient to bring down a monument? The idea that the monument is probably several thousand pounds of stone and metal doesn’t really register. They’re using “people power.”

I think this is why the monument toppling bands don’t have a real regard for how dangerous the whole thing is. The last thing you should do is have crowds of inattentive people, possibly drunk or drugged, in close proximity to the material being removed – there was that one case of Ol’ Johnny Reb catching his last Yankee by the noggin in Virginia. I’m surprised that more people haven’t been seriously injured in what is essentially a dangerous heavy laboring operation. If you were to do it the correct and safe way, you’d probably have an engineer on site as well as plans/instructions, and you certainly wouldn’t permit a carnival to be occurring at the bases of the monuments.

There was never a time when the word white or White was used by anyone to describe anything before Jews “came into the scene”.

Your elder brother George Dionysius, who vehemently opposed the “one-drop” rule, addressed the South Carolina Constitutional Convention thusly in 1895:

If the law is made as it now stands respectable families in Aiken, Barnwell, Colleton, and Orangeburg will be denied the right to intermarry among people with whom they are now associated and identified. At least one hundred families would be affected to my knowledge. They have sent good soldiers to serve creditably, and it would be unjust and disgraceful to embarrass them in this way. It is a scientific fact that there is not one full-blooded Caucasian on the floor of this convention. Every member has in him a certain mixture of… colored blood. The pure-blooded white has needed and received a certain infusion of darker blood to give him readiness and purpose. It would be a cruel injustice and the source of endless litigation, of scandal, horror, feud, and bloodshed to undertake to annul or forbid marriage for a remote, perhaps obsolete trace of Negro blood. The doors would be open to scandal, malice and greed; to statements on the witness stand that the father or grandfather or grandmother had said that A or B had Negro blood in their veins. Any man who is half a man would be ready to blow up half the world with dynamite to prevent or avenge attacks upon the honor of his mother in the legitimacy or purity of the blood of his father.

Well, it doesn’t exactly agree with Steve’s timing, but if you look at 1964-1967 you see a 15 point jump in verbal scores while the math scores stayed flat. Which would be quite consistent with an increasing proportion of Jews given their verbal tilt.

In any case, thank you very much for including the link address at the bottom of that image! I had been looking for a resource like that and that file and its followup look like great resources. Here is a link with some descriptive text. Notice that more recent versions are confidential. ; )
    https://oir.yale.edu/oir-resources
Too bad there is no OCR though.

Your table is B-3.6 on page 101 of the first book. B-3.7 on the following page is even more informative since it gives 10/25/50/75/90 percentile values. There we see that from 1965 to 1966 the verbal 10/25 percentiles increased 5/9 points, while the 50/75/90 percentiles increased 22/23/19 points.
At the same time the math scores decreased slightly across the board.

That is exactly what I would expect to see if there was in increase in the proportion of higher verbal scoring Jews admitted.

Another interesting observation is that there was a noticeable drop in the average weight, average height, and proportion of men 6 feet and over in that same year (1966). Though that changed back in the following year. See B-4.11 on page 120.

I’d say your resource backs up Steve’s comment as long as one is willing to move the year of the change from 1965 to 1966. Thanks again.

P.S. In case anyone wants to argue about the Jewish verbal tilt, please see this paper and its references 13 and 14.

A laid-back and friendly black candidate (no chip on their shoulder, no ambition to “get ahead”, a “people person”) is a great way to fill the quota.

Any hint in demeanor, clothing, body language of an “attitude” that whitey owes them means a high risk for future trouble and is best avoided.

  319. @res

If you think the 15 point jump over three or four years is significant, I can only wonder how you missed the 36 point jump from just a few years before (1957-61; for some reason 1960 is missing).

That’s much more than twice the jump that you attribute to the presence of additional Jewish students, especially considering that the raw numbers were lower then.

This alone is pretty destructive to the theory, and it’s obvious at a glance to anyone not trying to support an agenda.

I did see the percentile values on the next page, but your interpretation of them amounts to a combination of cherry picking and conjecture. The bit about physicality was amusing, though.

There was, at any rate, no quota in effect nor was any suddenly rescinded at the time.

    you f’ing geniuses

No genius is involved. I just assumed an average IQ of 100 for the free population of every state. A 100% free state would top out at 100 IQ. Hardly Einsteins. Slaves were factored in at 70, until I discovered that 90% of them were too stupid to learn how to read, which requires a minimum IQ of 50. That really depressed the figures.

I live in a county that’s about 93% white, and most of the rest are Asian or Asian-white mix. In other words, people who actually work. At least until retirement.

For the life of me, I can’t understand how a state where only 38% of the population was workworthy could have survived at all. When 61% of your people are too stupid, lazy, and unpatriotic to contribute to the cause, then you aren’t going to win any wars. They’re just useless eaters.

I guess you stopped reading my comment after the first paragraph and did not look at the data all that closely. There was a 15 point verbal jump in one year (1965 to 1966) and the numbers were relatively stable for the three years on either side of that boundary.

As for the earlier years, it looks like Yale just became more selective. Notice that from 1956 to 1963 the verbal SAT increased 66 points–exactly the same increase as the math SAT. A key part of my point is the disproportionate increase in verbal relative to math from 1965 to 1966. Because as I said, Jews tend to have a verbal tilt.

I did see the percentile values on the next page, but your interpretation of them amounts to a combination of cherry picking and conjecture.

Not cherry picking. I noticed the jump in the first table and then went and looked at that year in the second table. As for interpretation, the increases I quoted for each percentile are accurate and make clear that the improvement was concentrated in the mid-upper range and there was more like 20 points. Attributing that to a greater Jewish presence is conjecture, but fits the evidence very nicely. How would you explain that distribution?

The bit about physicality was amusing, though.

Glad you enjoyed it. I found it amusing as well. Just what do you think changed the percentage of men 6 feet and over from 26.0% in 1965 to 20.6% in 1966 and back to 26.0% in 1967? Strange. That 20.6% was the lowest value since 1951. Quite an anomaly in the overall upward trend.

There was, at any rate, no quota in effect nor was any suddenly rescinded at the time.

Evidence? What is your explanation for the large jump in verbal SAT scores from 1965 to 1966?

As for “no quota,” what do you think about this?
    https://www.nytimes.com/1986/03/04/nyregion/yale-s-limit-on-jewish-enrollment-lasted-until-early-1960-s-book-says.html

Not until the early 1960’s did Yale University end an informal admissions policy that restricted Jewish enrollment to about 10 percent, according to a new book published by Yale University Press.

The book, ”Joining the Club,” which began as a sophomore term paper by Dan A. Oren, a 1979 Yale graduate, documents anti-Semitism reaching from fraternity brothers to board trustees. Much of the research is based on university documents.

And I imagine the timing of this is just a coincidence.

And not until 1965 did a Jew become a member of the Yale Corporation, when William Horowitz, a banker in New Haven, was elected to the board that sets university policy.

Then there is this. Again, notice the year. 1966 is exactly the year I am noting for the verbal increase.
    http://archives.yalealumnimagazine.com/issues/99_12/admissions.html

Most important, in 1966 the Corporation approved Brewster’s proposal for need-blind admissions

Clark’s first class, the Class of 1970, arrived on campus in the fall of 1966. It was composed of 58 percent public school students, the highest percentage of high school students of any class in Yale history, and a jump from 52 percent the previous year. The class drew on more public schools than any other class (478), but also more private schools (196).

For the first time, the rate of matriculation of financial aid applicants was higher than for non-financial aid applicants. Financial aid jumped to nearly $1 million, 30 percent above what it had been the year before; gift aid from the University increased by almost 50 percent. The class included more minorities of every kind. Clark recalls that “[n]obody came to my office screaming for more Jews. It was just a matter of natural selection. When we were picking that first class in 1965, no one counted Jews, but I knew that [Jewish enrollment] was going up. It had to.”

The Class of 1970 entered with the highest SAT scores in Yale’s history; a student who scored its mean SAT verbal mark of 697 would have been in the 90th percentile of the Class of 1961, and the 75th percentile of the Class of 1966. Put in a national context, half of the incoming freshmen scored in the top 1 percent nationally on the verbal SAT. These SAT marks were higher than those scored by the incoming class at Harvard, also a first for Yale. By year’s end, the Class of 1970 would score an average mark of 81, another school record.

The faculty was astonished and delighted by the leap in academic ability. Scientists were particularly gratified. The chairman of the chemistry department was moved to write Brewster that “[a]ll of our staff who have had any contact with this year’s freshmen agree that someone has done a spectacular job of recruiting. We are accustomed to meeting excellent students in introductory courses but never in such numbers.” Partly due to Brewster’s preferences, the class also contained an unprecedented number of artists, musicians, and actors. A student symphony orchestra was founded during this period, and its first conductor recalled that during the Brewster years, “music grew and flowered in a way that makes campus life today almost unrecognizable to anyone who attended the college before 1968.”

BTW, notice there is an error in that article. In 1966 the mean verbal score was 683. The mean math score was 697. The percentile comments are wrong as well.

    Now let’s revisit Steve’s statement.

Sure sounds similar to my references. Except either Steve or his source was off by a year.

Karabel himself–and he devoted his entire career to the topic–struggled mightily to prove the point and managed to come up with just one “smoking gun” in the form of an informal communication regarding the propriety of having too many of a particular group enrolled.

The argument above insists, among other things, that the inrush of Jewish students happened for only one year, after which there was a complete reversion to the pre-existing trend. Simply stating that is really enough, for once. It’s ridiculous on its face.

Remember. Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. And notice that your very specific claim is orthogonal to what we are considering. Regardless of the existence of a quota (official or not), my primary point is whether or not Jewish enrollment at Yale increased substantially in 1966.

Exactly what DO you make of that? Wouldn’t there have been an outcry if that was false and published in the NYT?

No. Notice that I specifically said things were stable for three years before and after the 1966 change. You either aren’t very good at reading comprehension or are extremely disingenuous.

We are obviously trying to extract a discrete event out of both an underlying trend and statistical noise. That can be difficult, but I believe I have provided sufficient numerical and documentary evidence. While you have provided nothing but your assertions.

P.S. For anyone interested, Karabel’s book contains an extensive discussion on the changes to Yale admissions in 1965 to 1966 on pages 352-355 (among other things, Clark fired most of the admissions department and changed “the criteria, the actual process, and the staff itself”). He covers the Jewish aspect on pages 363-366. Excerpted in full in the blockquote after the MORE. But let’s be very explicit about this particular point.

In a single year, the Jewish proportion of the freshman class nearly doubled, rising from 16 percent in 1965 to roughly 30 percent in 1966. 89

I guess I’m a pretty good data analyst given how resoundingly my “conjecture” has been confirmed.

    The End of Anti-Jewish Discrimination

When Clark joined the Admissions Office in 1961, Jewish enrollment in the freshman class stood at 11 percent – the lowest of any Ivy League college.81 Though at the time Yale visited many secondary schools nationwide and lavished great attention on the eastern boarding schools, it generally avoided public schools in nearby New York City and Long Island, still the home of over 40 percent of the nation’s Jewish population.82 Nevertheless, the New York-Long Island area – considered the “jungle” by Howe’s admissions staff – still produced many Yale applicants. Born in Brooklyn and raised on Long Island, Clark volunteered for recruiting and interviewing responsibilities in the area, even though his colleagues considered it one of the “crummiest” regions in the nation. 83
Faced with evidence that Yale was still using something very much like a quota to limit the number of Jews, Griswold had in 1962 called for the removal of any remaining religious barriers to admission. Yet Jewish enrollment had increased only modestly: from roughly 11 to 12 percent during the years between 1953 and 1962, it rose to about 16 percent in 1962 and stayed at that level for the next three years. Given Yale’s urban location and its proximity to New York City, this was a relatively low number – and one that was well below Harvard’s, not to say Penn’s and Columbia’s.84 Although the quota had been lifted, the culture of Howe’s Admissions Office remained distinctly unfriendly to Jews.85
In replacing much of the admissions staff at the same time that he doubled its size, Clark wanted especially to eliminate the atmosphere of “deeply ingrained” anti-Semitism that he had witnessed as a young admissions officer. 86 Suddenly, Yale was recruiting at the very New York City schools that it had avoided so assiduously in the past. In doing so, Yale was following a directive from the Admissions Policy Advisory Board, which had explicitly called for more “applications and admissions from New York and other eastern metropolitan areas.”87
Yale’s historic emphasis on “geographical diversity” had been rooted in no small part in its desire to limit the number of Jewish students, and the elimination of geographical factors in admissions removed an important barrier to Jewish enrollment.88 So, too, did the radical reduction in preference for alumni sons and prep school boys, which opened up more spaces for applicants from different backgrounds.
Taken together, the impact of these changes was to bring to a definitive end Yale’s long history of anti-Semitic discrimination. In a single year, the Jewish proportion of the freshman class nearly doubled, rising from 16 percent in 1965 to roughly 30 percent in 1966.89 Clark recalled that Yale’s rabbi was flabbergasted by the transformation, saying, “I don’t believe what’s happening. I don’t understand what’s happening. I think it’s wonderful. But I don’t quite understand it.”90
Brewster and Clark had been aware that the policies they were following would increase the number of Jewish students substantially and that this increase would not be warmly received in many quarters. Why were they willing to live with consequences, including alumni dissatisfaction, that would have deterred many university administrators? Part of the answer, surely, is that Brewster, like his friend McGeorge Bundy, was part of that segment of the WASP upper class that consciously rejected anti-Semitism as morally indefensible and incompatible with their larger commitment to progressive reform. 91 For Clark, too, anti-Semitism was a moral issue – and one of the main reasons that, once appointed dean of admissions, he quickly moved to replace most of the existing staff.
Yet in other circumstances, administrators who were not personally antiSemitic had pursued policies designed to limit the number of Jews. But the situation facing Brewster and Clark in the mid-196os was fundamentally different from the one their predecessors had faced – and one that left far more space for reforms that would increase Jewish enrollments. One key change was that anti-Semitic attitudes had declined sharply between the 1930s and the 1960s, with some of the largest declines occurring among the well-to-do, city dwellers, and residents of the eastern states – the very populations most relevant to institutions such as Yale.92 By the spring of 1966, when the first class of “Inky’s boys” entered Yale, the civil rights movement had utterly transformed the moral landscape, making discrimination of any kind morally unacceptable. At the same time, a growing student movement, thrust into the public eye by Berkeley’s Free Speech Movement of 1964 and given added momentum by the burgeoning antiwar movement, was bringing traditional policies into radical question.93 Finally, the Watts riots, which shook Los Angeles in the summer of 1965, seemed to demonstrate that the perpetuation of injustice could threaten the survival of the system itself.
Brewster and Clark moved decisively to take advantage of the openings created by these developments to pursue reforms, but not all members of the Yale community welcomed their efforts. Shortly after the 1967 publication of an article in the New York Times describing these policies, Ashby Porter ’09 wrote to Brewster, contending that there was a “great danger in concentrating the admissions in a narrow strip along the Atlantic Coast and particularly in New York City.” The part of the article noting an increase in the number of Jews at Yale did not escape Porter’s attention, and it did not please him. While expressing “great respect for the brilliant minds of many Jewish men who have been leaders in science and industry,” he also told Brewster that “Jews as a class are clannish, self-centered, rather selfish and do not rank high in public service.” Drawing on statistics in the Times article observing that Columbia and Penn undergraduates were about 40 percent Jewish, he warned that “many gentiles might well hesitate to enroll in an institution where the Jewish population is so heavy.”94
Alumni dismay about the number of Jews at Yale, though rarely articulated publicly, was often a subtext of other grievances, such as Yale’s alleged emphasis of “brains” over “character.” On occasion, however, the issue rose to the surface. In early 1973, shortly after the Yale Alumni Magazine published an article estimating that a third of Yale undergraduates were Jewish, an alumnus from the Class of 1912 wrote to his class secretary. 95
Dear Dick: In the January issue of YAM is an article … by the rabbi appointed apparently by the Hillel people and [it] is very well written from the Jewish standpoint. Jewish students at Yale are now in the majority …
This imbalance is the result achieved by Clark and his extremists who made up the team admitting students to the Freshman Class a few years ago. They turned down scores of sons of Yale men who richly deserved to succeed their fathers and scoured the ghettos of New York and elsewhere to recruit freshmen. That is what has today made Yale a Jewish university …
These facts are why … I cannot go along with your thoughts that I should help support Yale of today. The place we knew and loved has been wrecked by three men, Brewster, Coffin, and Clark. Let them look to those they have recruited for the money to run Yale today. It saddens me to prophesy that Yale will soon be just another public institution, thanks to the lack of foresight of the Corporation and the willfulness of three men, who have made Yale a Jewish haven. I write you thusly so you … will know why I am today supporting to the best of my ability those colleges which my grandsons have been forced to attend.96
Yale did not, of course, have anything approaching a Jewish majority, either then or at any other point in its history. Yet though the letter writer’s grasp of the numbers was obviously limited, he was not wrong on one fundamental point: the changes wrought by Brewster and Clark meant that the Yale that he “knew and loved” was truly no more.

  331. @Jane Plain

Everyone except you can understand. There is nothing confusing about it in any respect. There has never been a time when (a) the word “white” or “White” existed and (b) Jews had not yet “c[o]me into the scene”. You should try reading the thread you’re jumping into.

Yeah. It’s bizarre to assert that “half” of American Whites want to kill off their fellow Whites. Literally impossible to imagine.

You’d think it would occur to these people that 60% of whites voted for Trump. Surely 40% would be the absolute max for the “kill-the-deplorables” type of white. And, in reality, the number is far, far lower.

“The Megiddo Modern Hebrew-English Dictionary, published in Israel, correctly defines shegetz as follows: ‘unclean animal; loathsome creature, abomination.”

(colloquial) – (pronounced shaygets) wretch, unruly youngster; Gentile youngster’.”

Regarding the term sheigetz* : Etymologically, use of these* as generic terms for non-Jews (or any class of people, really) is obviously inherently highly pejorative. While I would not deny that there are Jews who knowingly use these terms that way, I can attest that there are also plenty of Jews who use said terms without malice, and in many cases without any conscious, deliberate disdain, contempt or intent to insult or belittle.

(*Pronounced shay-getz or shy-getz, it is the primary, masculine form. The feminine form is shiksa, alt. shikse; shigsa; shigse.)

I have personally encountered a number of Jews who were completely ignorant of the etymology and even the pejorative connotations of sheigetz/shigsa.

Such individuals thought that the terms-in-question, if used generically for non-Jews, were at most only minimally more pejorative than gentile, or its equivalent goy. (The latter, popular claims to the contrary notwithstanding, really is no more inherently pejorative than the English gentile.*)

Even among those who do know the literal meaning and full connotations of sheigetz/shiksa, many nonetheless use the terms as little, if anything more than mere synonyms for goy; with no conscious, deliberate intent to offend, and certainly no malice. Personally, I am quite uncomfortable with and eschew the use of sheigetz/shigsa as generic terms for non-Jews.

*Sure, both words can be used pejoratively but so can Jew, for that matter; context is everything. The Hebrew goy literally means nation; it’s use as a generic term for non-Jews is simply based upon the phrase the nations of the world that is found within the Judaic canon. The plural is goyim; upon seeing an instance of the hybrid goys being used, I have often been tempted to respond facetiously with a rejoinder like, It’s goyim, you goy!. Fearing that my words would not be taken in the entirely benign manner intended, however, I have mostly stifled such impulses.)

Concerning the use of sheigetz/shigsa to refer-to an unruly youngster (Megiddo dictionary quoted by AceDeuce), allow me to quote from a comment of mine that I had posted to an iSteve thread back in November (from which this comment of mine that I am presently composing has been adapted).

[Responding-to essentially the same points I have made just above, now, ArtDeco wrote, of the term shiksa:]

It was a banal and mildly derisive term applied (by a skeptical grandmother) to my sister, among others.

Such usage would possibly appear to be supported by extrapolating from how my copy of Harduf’s Transliterated English-Yiddish/Yiddish-English Dictionary translates “sheigets”: as “impudent boy”. The same reference work translates “shikse” merely as “gentile girl”. This would apparently support the observations I made above about these words being widely used innocently.

The 60s counter-culture was Jewish from top to toe. The radicals of the early 60s were mostly Jewish as were the more extreme radicals of 1968. The hippie-folkie music business was all Jewish (and communist in the case of the folkies) as were leading intellectuals such as Charles Reich, Susan Sontag, and Herbert Marcuse. So were the pop psych gurus like ‘Baba Ram Das’. Jews bankrolled black radicals and provided lawyers and sympathetic journalists. It amounted to a replacement of ‘bourgeois’ (Christian) culture by a shallow libertinism that led to a surge in criminality, drugs, and family break-down, not to mention the dispiriting effect of the shaming of America by a bunch of hostile intellectuals. It was a disastrous decade whose harmful effects have never been undone.

    The Beatles were Jewish?

I’d say the 60s counter-culture was, very roughly, half-Jewish in talent, with one Jewish artistic genius in Bob Dylan and a lot of Jewish entertainment industry business and legal talent making the wheels spin fairly smoothly.

But I’d say what might seem stranger today was how important the British contribution was. Americans don’t pay that much attention to Brits anymore, but we sure did in the 1960s.
