If you take their row of “Homicide/Murder/Unintentional/DGU (Defensive Gun Use)” and subtract out their Unintentional Shooting and Defensive Use rows, I wind up with this estimate:
iSteve estimate: | 2019 | 2020 | Chg | Chg % | |
Homicide/Murder | 11,945 | 15,613 | 3,668 | 31% |
In early January, I looked through local newspaper accounts of 2020 in crime for 108 of the 200 largest cities and found murders in that sample (which accounted for 45% of national murders in 2019) up 38% over 2019. I figured the murder increase would be lower in smaller municipalities, so I estimated the national murder toll would be p 25-30%. So I find 31% plausible.
If this increase in gun murders turns out to be real, I expect the 2020 increase in murders of all kinds to be a few percentage points lower. But that would likely still be twice the previous biggest increases in murders since 1960: 12.7% in 1968 and 12.1% in 2015 (the first BLM era).
How much we can trust this database, I couldn’t say. But it has been around for a number of years now, and the numbers don’t look obviously implausible.
By looking at which type of shootings went up in 2020, we can get a sense of who was doing the incremental shooting.
Suicides, which tend to be a white thing, were unchanged from 2019. (Note that they get their suicide statistics from the CDC, rather than scraping them from thousands of sources like their murder statistics. I’m not sure if this number is all that complete yet, so you should probably check back in a while before citing it.)
Mass murders with four or more killed by gunshot (sometimes Columbine-like, often with white or Asian shooters) dropped from 31 to 20.
Mass shootings with four or more shot, whether killed or wounded, (like on The Wire, usually black shooters firing at somebody they want to kill in a crowd at a social event) grew 47% from 417 to 612.
Children killed were up 40%, and 12-17 year old teens killed was up 37%. I associate both, especially child shootings, with black-on-black “gunplay” in which innocent bystanders get shot.
Cops killed dropped from 71 to 59 (-17%), while cops injured grew 16%.
Suspects shot dead by cops was unchanged at 1288, but suspects wounded by cops went up 19% to 941.
Defensive use drop 10% to 1,432.
Unintentional shootings went up 19% to 2,264, perhaps because of all the new gun buyers.
Murder-suicide incidents (a generally white or Asian thing, often tied to domestic violence) dropped 9% to 574.
So, it sure sounds to me like the big growth in murders in 2020 was driven by more black shootings, typically of other blacks.

How do Leftists and BLM hide their guilt in being causal for killing thousands of Black lives, per year?
This is a horrendous guilt, covered up by media silence and misinformation.
Steve, you really should differentiate pre-George Floyd and post-George Floyd shootings
That is, compare the second half of 2020 with second half of 2019, for example.
And compare to pre-Ferguson effect shootings too.
And to pre-Floyd months in 2020
There’s really no such thing as gun violence, as all smart people know. It’s “negro violence.” It sometimes occurs with a gun, but if not, anything will do. It’s not going away until the negro does the ONE THING that can bring him salvation and redemption: that is, as a culture, as a racial famiy, as an economic group and as an individual, BE LIKE WHITE PEOPLE.. Yes they hate us. But we’re really their only chance. What do they think is going to happen to them when either Skynet or the Chinese take over and no white folks are there to protect them, as we have always done before.
This is a horrendous guilt, covered up by media silence and misinformation.

Social distancing works!
1) Kind of hard for school and workplace shootings to go anywhere but down. Hard to shoot up work or school when schools are closed and half the country is working from home.
2) Maybe those shootings will stay down for a bit. Maybe this year has taught even the crazy students and workers that isolation at home is far worse than having to put up with annoying fellow students and coworkers.
3) Does anyone see the Biden Administration doing anything to actually bring murder rates back down? He seems to have come into office with both feet planted firmly on the crazy pedal. The only thing maybe going for him is that, with elections over, the phrase “defund the police” is going to quickly become a lot less common in news stories than far more pressing current topics, like “Emmett Till.”
4) It will be interesting to compare murder rates to the early Trump years. They fell during Trump’s first three years, following three years of BLM looniness.
5) After all the BLM madness, beginning only 5 months into the year, the number of suspects killed by cops stayed even. So BLM didn’t prevent anyone from being killed by cops, and encouraged a murder spree that killed ~5,000 more people than last year. That’s more additional murders than the number of US servicemen (4,507) who died in the entire Iraq War.
When the public schools reopen, many parents of normal kids will decide to keep them at home. Meanwhile, parents of psycho-kids will continue to dump them off at their local school. That will increase the demographic density of total lunatics.
In my lifetime there has only been one other year like 2020. 1968. Then there was large scale urban rioting in the wake of the murder of MLK and social fragmentation over the Vietnam War and ‘generation gap’. SDS , Yippies and Black Panthers instead of BLM and Antifa and a national election. There was even a nascent Trump in the form of George Wallace’s American Independent Party which if memory serves me well got 13% of the vote and carried some Southern states. Internationally the USSR was a military rival if not an economic one.
For all that, 1968 America was still a nation, with one people and a Constitution that still mattered. There were no Hindus, Muslims and damn few Hispanics. Nixon patched things together and by 1972 vanquished the left with his 49 state electoral sweep.
Hard to see anything like that happening now plus the Chinese have given us an economy wrecking and socially destructive plague. We have feral adolescents who haven’t seen the inside of a classroom for almost a year. In 1968 they didn’t carry guns. Today they do. In 1968 police still had authority so they didn’t have to shoot because people knew that they would. Rich people in 1968 might have had a billion dollars. Not $100 billion and CEO’s made 100 times the average workers pay not 1000.
1968 looks like a Golden Age compared to today.
Black America is an ongoing brush fire that flares up then dies down, but is always simmering. We're currently buying them off with welfare and media attention, but demand eventually outpaces supply.
I guess the 60’s era domino theory is officially failed.

One of Trump’s final acts was to give a pardon to the man who convinced an American to spy for HIS country. I understand this American spy outed people in other countries who were spying for us.

Trump also pardoned Salomon Melgen, the Dominican doctor who was convicted of bribing Senator Bob Menendez (a Democrat), and members of the Rubashkin family, of Postville, Iowa fame, who were convicted of, among other things, massive immigration fraud.
Look at the long list of many of his other last minute pardons and there are many others equally as vile. He didn't pardon them because they deserved it. He pardoned them because they paid money for access.
I voted for Trump in both 2016 and 2020 because he was far better than the alternatives. On issues such as China, immigration, and judges he was mostly spot on.
But he is also sleazy, vile, arrogant, narcissistic, and undisciplined. If he had been able to turn that all down even just a notch he would have easily won reelection. But that's not who he is.
But the True Believing Trumpists won't let go of it. They're still clinging to their ridiculous conspiracy theories about stolen elections and about how every single Republican who disagrees with Trump even slightly is some kind of traitor. I’d like to point out too, in my comparison of 1968 to 2020, that gun violence actually achieved objectives if not always the intended ones. In 20th Century America our leaders were not so well protected. A man or woman with a gun ( Squeaky Fromme and Sarah Jane Moore) could get next to a president or presidential candidate and try to assassinate them. In 1968 both Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luther King were shot dead. George Wallace was shot in 1972 right after he won the Michigan Democratic primary and was making a run for that parties nomination.Gerald Ford seemed to come under fire every time he came to California and Ronald Reagan got shot by a love crazed stalker.
Today our political leadership is invulnerable. Other than the most despicable mass murderers the only people who get the death penalty today ( and have it carried out outside of Texas and maybe a few other states) are those who kill low level Federal officials like a judge, CIA or FBI personnel.
JANUARY 2022 — Steve finds that the only federal crime statistics now available are for “White Supremacist Domestic Terrorists.” Mostly involving “assault rifles” but with an alarming uptick in golf clubs and hockey sticks.
Here’s one where several could have died, but didn’t.

It must be all those white supremacists who committed insurrection at the capitol. I’m sure that President ̶H̶a̶r̶ oops, Biden — will take steps to disarm whites as soon as possible.
Just heard from Seattle. Beginning about 7 PM anti fa BLM started rioting in downtown tourist attraction Pike Place. Trashed the original Starbucks. The’re advancing in the east side precinct police station they trashed last summer. It’s completely fenced and barricaded. Relatives live close to downtown and east side police station They’re planning to get out of town if rioters get close.
Oh, the reason for the riots is that Biden betrayed his voters. In office half a day and hasn’t abolished ICE and sent a crew to tear down Trump’s border wall.
Cops standing around counting up their over time. Double time, not time and a half. I wonder how many cops bought $80K cars new boats etc from summer of St Floyd overtime.
Re the original Starbucks: no great loss.
PS: If this country truly falls apart now, which it rightfully should, the powers that be, as personified this time by Democrats and SJWs and anti-Whites, truly deserve to own it. One almost hopes it happens.

As long as liberal policies kill more and more blacks, who cares? The Republican way of sending blacks to prison and trying ‘rehabilitate’ them only preserves the lives of black criminal scumbags at taxpayers’ expense.
Now Democrats, they really know how to murder blacks. Just let blacks out of prison and the Darwinian fun and games begin as all the criminal blacks start shooting each other.
Why? Because no one can stand ghetto blacks, especially other ghetto blacks.

Sella was never extradited from Israel to face charges in the US (nor was he ever going to be) so the pardon didn’t really change anything – Sella’s indictment was never more than a piece of paper. Nor does Sella still represent a threat to the US anyway since he is now 75 years old and retired.

I hate to tell you this, but without the Trumpists there is not much left of the Republican party. Certainly not enough to ever win the Presidency for the foreseeable future. They could play the Washington Generals role and run losers like McCain and Romney forever and never win even once.

Trumpism has been a total failure. Where is the wall? Where is Trumpcare? Where are the cheaper drugs? Where do we want to go with climate change?
What will the post automobile America look like?
How can 5G transform our world?
How can we make the United Nations into a real community of Nations and work together to solve global problems?
How can we figure out a way to have Fair elections?
Objectively how many immigrants can the United States absorb?
What can we do to derail the accelerating hegemony of multinational corporations in every aspect of American life?
Can't we make abortions cheap and legal in Las Vegas and illegal everywhere else?
What can we do to turn Liberia into Dubai?
How can we encourage Americans to retire overseas so that they will not be a drain on Medicare?
How come we use American expertise to make the World Health Organization better?
How can we improve the quality of bread in America?
How can we tackle the obesity epidemic in America?
How can we deal with the fact that America has more accidental gun deaths in a year than Europe has total gun deaths in a year?

Gun suicides in 2020 were basically unchanged from 2019 despite the vast economic disruption of 2020. I would have expected that just all the ruined small business owners would by themselves be enough to boost the number to a notable extent. Very surprising.

Pretty sure he pardoned them because they were holding a (figurative, mostly) knife to Ivanka’s throat. I won’t be supporting Trump for anything going forward for a variety of reasons but the smart money says that the pardons are a signal toward where the real power lies.

Good riddance. We can do better. We could hardly do worse.
Problem is that the other boats are underwater and sinking.
Because it’s time to gentrify some urban real estate and move their troops out to the suburbs? (On that thought, maybe they won’t put the fire out. Maybe they’ll just move it.)
Yes that is true and that makes it worse.
It makes the request and the granting of the pardon a piece of theater for all parties.
I also wonder how Sella was able to run back to Israel when Pollard was caught. Whose help did he get for that? Now of course he was acting as an agent for Israel so they are ones to blame, not Sella, who was only following orders.
The Israelis made a big fuss over Pollard and his wife when they went there. It would not shock me if Sella comes to America shortly. Rubbing things in seems to have become an integral part of the Pollard case. Ignoring the fact that Pollard ruined lives is also an integral part of the case.
Re Trump’s pardons. Par for the course. Did anyone miss the part where Bibi Netanyahu is his best friend among foreign leaders? What did you expect? Lil Wayne also got a pardon. Again, what did you expect?
As for the election, of course it was stolen. Thats why Dems/Media are screaming calling for an audit is treason. Why no court even considered it (but Al Gore got his audit). Joe Biden could not draw 25 people for his “farewell address” in Delaware. He could not win a single early primary. The party had to cheat like mad even with Clyburn (who was I think far less effective than people think) to get Biden over the line to stop Bernie.
When Biden could not draw more than six people to his rallies in PA and Trump drew 60,000, yeah the election was stolen. Any could see it. Its Joe Biden. A corrupt time serving pol no one likes or is even the slightest bit excited about it. He’s an old White guy. What exactly demographic in the Democratic Party turned out to vote for him? Bueller? Bueller?
Republicans without Trump? Yes. Without his voters? That’s the staff of the National Review. Ahoy matey! Hawley, Cruz, maybe a few others (Kevin Sorbo, Ted Nugent) are going to be competing for the hard guy bad boy WWE Villain who is really the hero. Think Stone Cold Steve Austin, CM Punk. The “bad guy” who laces into the “face” as the hypocritical corporate yes man (one of the only new storytelling devices WWE came up with in the past decades) to crowd approval. Hispanics eat that up, weasely “please clap” el Jebe stuff not so much. I think Nugent has a shot. Pun intended.
As for Biden and BLM mania, we are one more White cop with a dead black suspect from full on race war. No one can turn it off. Its like informers in the Soviet Union. More and more people got accused not the least of which was getting their job, apartment, girl, etc. The dopamine rush from more and more virtue signaling from nice White ladies showing their hate hate hate for icky beta White males and love love love for black Thugs is a perpetual motion machine. Twitter can’t turn that off — their own SJW censors will push it. Some black dude will be wanted for a triple murder or something and get shot on cell phone video camera by a White cop and cities will erupt in flames and White dudes will be hunted down Reginald Denny style and put up on Twitter by the SJW mob to show “see White dudes this is coming for you.” Dorsey can’t control it — his employees run his company like most of Silicon Valley. He just collects the rents. Already there is a “citizens force” dedicated to hunting down every Trump supporter and voter and getting them not just fired but imprisoned for this. Of course the Chans are in, accusing various wokerati of being secret Trump supporters. The FBI is reputedly so flooded with accusations they are just throwing them away, many of them bogus score-settling.
Biden promised to root out White people and that no Whites need apply to government or corporate America, as his admin will make sure they are all rooted out. Its a moral feeding frenzy among the lower ranks of the ruling class and it won’t stop until there are a series of crisis and a popular revolt backed by the military. Just like the Arab Spring. We will probably be ruled in a few years by mid-level military rulers. At least some of them are competent.
As an addenda: Trump pardoned this Israeli spy while he left Julian Assange and Edward Snowden high and dry!
Who do these crime stats matter to? Not to the vast number of pod people who take their cues from the media.
And those who would care already know it.
You have a point about small business owners. Could it be that PPP loans and the federal unemployment benefits for people not usually covered including business owners are keeping people from pulling the trigger?
That's possible, although the PPP program was flawed it was better than nothing.
Another, worse possibility is that small business owners are often hopeful types by nature, otherwise they wouldn't have opened or operated small businesses in the first place, and spent months figuring they'd finally be able to reopen and make money. It’s not just Trump though. Who was the last American president who listened to voters and put their interests first a reasonable amount of the time? Was it Jimmy Carter? Reagan put business and small government anti-tax payers first and by the 1990s it was the elites and special interest groups who got their own way most of the time, not the American people.
We are talking two generations of anti-worker, nonresponsive government. When is this going to change?
Was Pollard really that bad? I honestly don’t know the details of what he may have exposed.
All nations, including allies, spy on each other. Over time they usually trade spy for spy and it evens out. We certainly must be spying on Israel (I hope so anyway). They’ve probably caught our guys from time to time and just expelled them to not make waves with their #1 patron-ally.
Okay, fair enough. How do you feel about 95 year old Germans who were concentration camp guards? Oh, wipe their seed from the Earth. Interesting.
Jack is a hair-trigger American Jew. He can’t help himself. Have pity on him. (I respect him as a commenter, but he invariably presents an inescapably anti-Gentile perspective. Every. Damned. Time.) It’s not intelligence, but, rather, habit or programming or even hard-wiring. Squirrels are not intelligent either, but they look like they are when they collect nuts. And personally, I have affection for them, as I do for Jack. BTW he has earned this comment, FWIW, which isn’t much and will probably be regretted by me. It’s the intardnet, so who cares?
Maybe whiney white autists should find a way to cut police brutality and twitchyness, and gun murders by half in one shot, say by making more difficult for blacks and minorities to get handguns from the black/grey market?
For what I have read, most handguns used in gun crime are not bought in gun shops but rather are second hand firearms sold by unscrupulous pushers with the help of regulation loopholes, firmly kept in place by lobbying orgs such as the NRA, which are financed by manufacturers and supported by a majority of whites.
Keep handguns away from those ghetto dwellers!
Maybe the American way of preventing the wrong people from obtaining and owning firearms should change a bit from the enforcement approach, ie mass search of citizens in traffic stops by anxious cops and punishment after the fact to *preventing* this people from getting them so easily in the first place, maybe create a federal registry of legitimate gun owners, make compulsory the registry with IDs of buyers and sellers in *any* firearm sales. Make unscrupulous gun runners more accountable if their sold items happen to be used to accidentally kill children in ghetto drive by shootings etc. First world approach.
Or alternatively, keep on whining. Louder.
Pollard was a cocaine devotee who spied for money. He also tried to sell US secrets to Pakistan.

The one thing that Zia could not have known, that protected Pakistan from invasion, was the essential gutlessness of Soviet leaders, whether it was Brezhnev, Andropov, Chernenko or Gorbachev at the helm, during Russia's 20th century Afghan adventure. Cross-border attacks against Pakistan, perhaps targeting major Pakistani installations, coordinated with India, might well have brought the mujahidin revolt to an early conclusion.
Who knows if all the suicides are counted yet?
To what, if any extent would you characterize the commenting behavior of your estimable interlocutor, BenKenobi, as exhibiting or presenting an inescapably anti-Jewish perspective?
Frankly, I don't know, because I don't have much recollection specifically of Obi-Wan's commenting history. (Sorry, Ben. To me you are the old guy who lives among the sand people in the first Star Wars movie.)
His commenting history isn't relevant to this conversation, but I do realize you are practicing what people like you always do, i.e. attacking the character or history of someone, anyone, who expresses even the slightest negative opinion, however true, about you or your perspective.
Hey that country Israel is pretty nifty, and quite based. I'd really like one for me.
I wouldn't call that "anti-Jewish."
We have feral adolescents who haven't seen the inside of a classroom for almost a year. In 1968 they didn't carry guns. Today they do. In 1968 police still had authority so they didn't have to shoot because people knew that they would. Rich people in 1968 might have had a billion dollars. In 1968, you could order rifles and shotguns through the mail. If you used a private carrier, you could get a handgun. Banning that in 1968 didn’t help lower murder rates.
I think we’re going to see an increase in deadly accidents. Like a few years ago, a police chief under investigation accidentally shot himself while cleaning his duty gun. Accidental overdoses (This shows why you don’t drink while using prescription painkillers). Single vehicle accidents where the driver is killed.
Well that makes it all right then.
Oh, the reason for the riots is that Biden betrayed his voters. In office half a day and hasn’t abolished ICE and sent a crew to tear down Trump’s border wall.

We had the crack cocaine epidemic in the 80s that was not a nice time.
Black America is an ongoing brush fire that flares up then dies down, but is always simmering. We’re currently buying them off with welfare and media attention, but demand eventually outpaces supply.
Then they truly are screwed, because while 100 million GoodWhites would move heaven and earth to help them–have already done so in fact–negroes are trained daily by the “MSM” to hate whitey and forever bite the hand that feeds them.
You can count the number of negroes who have ever looked that far into the future on your fingers and toes.
So Trumpism is a leaky boat.
Problem is that the other boats are underwater and sinking.
Yep. Thanks.
You may be more ready than you think. Remember the old rule of backpacking: Pack everything you think you will need, and then throw half of it away. A big part is doing without. Be prepared for that.
Whatever you do now, take this seriously. Do get ready in whatever way you can without going crazy. Your preparations might even just help you get through, more comfortably than your neighbors, some lesser, stupid crisis that comes up. You know those have a way of happening…
You’re preaching to the choir, brother.
Republicans could advocate for the same policies as Democrats only a little LESS so. Instead of abolishing fossil fuels IMMEDIATELY (global warming, dontcha know) we'll abolish them in a few years. Europeans will still love us - not as much as they love Democrats but they'll still invite you to their embassy parties. Instead of legalizing all immigrants IMMEDIATELY we'll gradually grant them citizenship in a few years. Well, the Republican party needs to reinvent itself. God knows we need an alternative to the Democrats.
Can’t we make abortions cheap and legal in Las Vegas and illegal everywhere else?
What can we do to turn Liberia into Dubai?
How can we encourage Americans to retire overseas so that they will not be a drain on Medicare?
How come we use American expertise to make the World Health Organization better?
How can we improve the quality of bread in America?
How can we tackle the obesity epidemic in America?
How can we deal with the fact that America has more accidental gun deaths in a year than Europe has total gun deaths in a year?
There are so many potentially winning issues if only the Republicans could put together a cogent strategy and market it.
This is not Europe. Get over it. If you don't like the way we do things, go back to England or wherever it is you came from. By streaming endless amounts of infotainment, propaganda, and porn into our pocket-sized mind-control devices?
Oh, wait, 4G can already do that.
At some point we'll have brain implants that will control our thoughts directly. The Singularity will transform the great mass of humanity into obedient Borg. But that is still a few years off. We'll probably have to wait for 6G or 7G. So you favor centralized one-world government? That would tend to invalidate everything you say. The era of fair elections is over. We've imported too much of the Third World to be able to function as a First World democracy. None. We need a total ban on immigration, and we need to deport all of the illegals who are already living here. Hell, we need to deport a lot of people who are here legally. Not much. What would be the point of doing this? Genocide the inhabitants and import large numbers of Gulf Arabs?
The Chinese seem to be pretty good at wringing productivity out of Africans. They have the will to rule with an iron first, something that we have lost. There's no need to go overseas. In the wonderful world we now live in, perhaps any significant uptick in “accidental” deaths of the kind referred to might be subject to more stringent examination by public authorities and insurance companies. Classification of a death as suicide may twist the knife in the raw wounds of an opponent’s family and potentially affect any monies falling to be paid out from insurance policies. Ideally, of course, such considerations would be unthinkable, but in this mixed-up, muddled-up world, who knows?

As for the election, of course it was stolen. Thats why Dems/Media are screaming calling for an audit is treason. Why no court even considered it (but Al Gore got his audit). Joe Biden could not draw 25 people for his "farewell address" in Delaware.
He's an old White guy. What exactly demographic in the Democratic Party turned out to vote for him? Bueller? Bueller?
Republicans without Trump? Yes. Without his voters? That's the staff of the National Review. Ahoy matey! Hawley, Cruz, maybe a few others (Kevin Sorbo, Ted Nugent) are going to be competing for the hard guy bad boy WWE Villain who is really the hero. Think Stone Cold Steve Austin, CM Punk. The "bad guy" who laces into the "face" as the hypocritical corporate yes man (one of the only new storytelling devices WWE came up with in the past decades) to crowd approval. Hispanics eat that up, weasely "please clap" el Jebe stuff not so much.
Twitter can't turn that off -- their own SJW censors will push it. Some black dude will be wanted for a triple murder or something and get shot on cell phone video camera by a White cop and cities will erupt in flames and White dudes will be hunted down Reginald Denny style and put up on Twitter by the SJW mob to show "see White dudes this is coming for you." Dorsey can't control it -- his employees run his company like most of Silicon Valley. He just collects the rents. Already there is a "citizens force" dedicated to hunting down every Trump supporter and voter and getting them not just fired but imprisoned for this.
Its a moral feeding frenzy among the lower ranks of the ruling class and it won't stop until there are a series of crisis and a popular revolt backed by the military. Just like the Arab Spring. We will probably be ruled in a few years by mid-level military rulers. At least some of them are competent.Replies: @JMcG

And I don’t disagree with you. The Romney/McCain GOP was an abysmal failure. The GOP will lose if it ever goes back to being the Chamber of Commerce/Democrat Lite Party. I wouldn’t be reading Steve’s blog if I believed in that GOP. But anyone who can’t see Trump’s weaknesses, or who thinks that he lost because the election was stolen, is just kidding himself.
The people who carry that bitterness into the next election and vote for some stupid third party – or refuse to vote for some Republican simply because he didn’t kiss Trump’s ass at every opportunity – are fools. If people do that we’ll see what happens when Democrats get a real Senate majority to play with.
But your point is well taken.

I am surprised at you. Don’t you know every one of those excess deaths is actually a COVID Death?
(Hey, if that is what the altered, two weeks after the event, death certificates say.)
Regrettably, since all numbers the Government puts out now are garbage, it is really hard to say what is going on with any confidence. I mean, if 84 million people voted for Joe Biden, I am pretty sure we could just as reasonably claim that there were only 14o gun homicides in the USA in 2020, and they were all White Extremist mass shooters.
GIGO America.

You have a point about small business owners. Could it be that PPP loans and the federal unemployment benefits for people not usually covered including business owners are keeping people from pulling the trigger?
That’s possible, although the PPP program was flawed it was better than nothing.
Another, worse possibility is that small business owners are often hopeful types by nature, otherwise they wouldn’t have opened or operated small businesses in the first place, and spent months figuring they’d finally be able to reopen and make money. However I don’t write the left’s gamebook, and we are all stuck in their matrix of hell. So I think its time for some cold hearted evaluation of things. Also I still like to know where they get their endless supply of ammo? Maybe it is something Democrat voting blacks might want to ask as well.

Suicide is not a rational response to economic despair – it is the product of mental illness. The man who owned the company that makes Sweet’N Low (those little pink packets of artificial sweetener), a multimillionaire many times over, just killed himself. Blacks, most of whom on a good day have zero net worth, rarely kill themselves.
If a man cannot and has no prospects to earn a minimum requisite of money to meaningfully participate in family and social life - if his daily existence is one of deprivation, isolation and humiliation - how can you counter this with a Spock-like argument that unburdening from this psychic pain doesn't outweigh a fleeting moment of extreme violence directed at himself?
Clearly, people commit suicide for reasons which may well pass in time - and perhaps a substantial proportion of successful suicides if given this knowledge and a choice may have changed their minds - but you cannot say that continuing an existence of severe mental anguish is always better than the alternative on purely rational grounds.
Contrary to what most people say, it takes a whole lot of courage to kill one's self.

Our new country is going to be FABULOUS!Replies: @Travis
most people still realize this fact, but will never admit knowing that Blacks are far more violent than other races. This is why Americans pay a significant premium to live in neighborhoods with “good schools”. It is also one reason so many support massive immigration from Latin America, because they fear hiring blacks. Whites prefer to have Hispanics doing much of the work in their neigborhoods. This is a big reason the elites want open borders with Mexico, so they can hire Hispanic maids, gardeners, cooks, drivers, etc… While most whites appear to be ignorant of Black violence, most of their actions indicate that they are well aware of the dangers of being around Blacks.

Pakistan was also an American ally vital to the resupply of the mujahidin who gave the Soviet invader so much trouble in Afghanistan. Post-Cold War, one of Pakistan’s organs of state security, the ISI, charged with liaison work with the mujahidin, became shot through and through with jihadists. They bared their collective teeth by helping to organize 9/11, or shield it from discovery. But throughout the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan, Pakistan risked invasion by the Russians, due to its support for anti-Soviet Afghan rebels.

The one thing that Zia could not have known, that protected Pakistan from invasion, was the essential gutlessness of Soviet leaders, whether it was Brezhnev, Andropov, Chernenko or Gorbachev at the helm, during Russia’s 20th century Afghan adventure. Cross-border attacks against Pakistan, perhaps targeting major Pakistani installations, coordinated with India, might well have brought the mujahidin revolt to an early conclusion.

I’m a pretty even-handed fellow, and well capable of introspection. I consider myself quite moderate on the “JQ” compared to most. But like Buzz said, Jack’s incessant knee-jerk Jewish-reacts are often tone-deaf and completely hypocritical.
My perspective boils down to this:
Hey that country Israel is pretty nifty, and quite based. I’d really like one for me.
I wouldn’t call that “anti-Jewish.”
It’ll do that to you. Didn’t your Mom tell you? Those yellow and blue packets aren’t so healthy either. High Fructose Corn Syrup for the win! You’ve never seen so much sweetening!
Not always. I do agree that suicide has nothing to do with net worth.
Contrary to what most people say, it takes a whole lot of courage to kill one’s self.

Really? Oh, no, can’t be the numinous ones!!
They all look so good on the TV commercials!! They’re all so wholesome and nuclear family like!
For such wrongthink, you may be sentenced to having the initials BLM etched into your forehead, Inglorious Bastards style.
Repent while you can!!
The ‘Sweet n Low” guy was 89 years old! Suicide at 89 is basically euthanasia. That he jumped off the top of his building was an interesting choice though. One last adrenaline rush?
Professor Stanley Unwin probably did say that earlier:
There are mucho anomalous situations and mysterious characters in the backgrounds of Squeaky Fromme, Sarah Jane Moore, Sirhan Sirhan, James Earl Ray, and Arthur Bremer. Enough to keep the Robert Maheu Detective Agency busy for mucho billable hours.
I would add Vernon Reid and Tom Morello for the younger folk.
The people who carry that bitterness into the next election and vote for some stupid third party - or refuse to vote for some Republican simply because he didn’t kiss Trump’s ass at every opportunity - are fools. If people do that we’ll see what happens when Democrats get a real Senate majority to play with.Replies: @Redman
Luckily I live in a one-party state, NY. So don’t have to think too hard about decisions like that.
But your point is well taken.

That man really loves his 1911. Coolest gun on the planet.
I am surprised at you. Don’t you know every one of those excess deaths is actually a COVID Death?(Hey, if that is what the altered, two weeks after the event, death certificates say.)
Regrettably, since all numbers the Government puts out now are garbage, it is really hard to say what is going on with any confidence. I mean, if 84 million people voted for Joe Biden, I am pretty sure we could just as reasonably claim that there were only 14o gun homicides in the USA in 2020, and they were all White Extremist mass shooters.GIGO America.Replies: @Redman
Steve hasn’t internalized the new 1984 normal. Where all news AND data will be reviewed and censored by the party.
Otherwise, think of the consequences.
School closures have finally solved the pandemic of in-person, school bullying.
As for the post-virus frequency of Parkland style, school shootings, my guess is that the alarming, upward trend will resume.
When the public schools reopen, many parents of normal kids will decide to keep them at home. Meanwhile, parents of psycho-kids will continue to dump them off at their local school.
That will increase the demographic density of total lunatics.
whut fing-ahs bez on de trig-ahs, assholes?
Client states don’t spy on their bank rollers. Israel is one of America’s client states. It certainly doesn’t act like one!
Pollard very nearly facilitated the advent of WW3 and ensured that the Soviet Union would have the upper hand in the conflict. All of this contingent, naturally, upon our ‘masters’ in Israel and elsewhere.
