Similarly, much of the popularity of the US Women’s National soccer team derives from it being so white and middle class.
Boys of all races and classes tend to care about sports. But it takes a lot of social construction to get girls interested in a sport.
As I wrote in 2011 about the US women’s national soccer team:
Female soccer embodies many of the most deeply-held values of white American upper middle class families: gender equality; parental (especially paternal) investment in their children; organized practice instead of play; ambitions for college scholarships; tacit race and class segregation via spending; and chauffeuring … lots and lots of chauffeuring.
So nobody in the American MSM has been so rude as to point out the remarkable lack of racial and ethnic diversity on the U.S. women’s soccer team.
Judging from the latest roster—if our World Cup team was the Tea Party, it would be denounced as nativist and racist. Certainly the women’s national soccer team would fail the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s notoriously “Four-Fifths Rule” for sniffing out possible “disparate impact” discrimination—discrimination where it doesn’t have to prove intent.
Yet Google News records no mention by the MSM of the lack of diversity on this lauded squad.

USA basketball looks nothing like our country. In fact last year blacks were complaining about one white guy being on the team. When do we get to change that?

I grew up in a dense working-class (but still quite white) urban neighborhood in the early 70s. My parents used to routinely send my five-year-old ass down to the corner store, which was run by an old Jewish couple, Holocaust survivors, to get a quart of milk or some such. Looking back, I think they didn't really need the quart of milk, they just wanted me to learn how to walk down the street by myself and interact with people. Which was still possible back then, and no one could imagine that it ever would not be.
Max and Anne still had their camp tattoos, which they displayed without any bother or fuss, the same way my uncles had Navy tattoos. When I asked Anne why she had numbers on her arm, she said, "Oh, it's because a long time ago a lot of stupid people thought crazy things, or maybe a lot of crazy people thought stupid things, either way it's nothing you need to worry about."
One night my father, a Navy man himself and a total bad-ass, walked into Max and Anne's shop and found them being held up at gunpoint by three Puerto Ricans. He had the drop on them from behind, and he proceeded to knock the living $hit out of all three of them. He finished cracking the last one's jaw, bought a pack of Luckys, then went home to my mother and announced, "We're moving."
The England men’s soccer team has plenty of black players, so I doubt if there are any sufficiently talented black female players who have been overlooked on the grounds of race. I am sure that if there were any black girls good enough to be on the team, then they would be given the first opportunity to take penalty kicks.

I think you are correct. I was surprised to discover earlier this summer that the UK overall about in the same position we were in1970 before 50 years of mass migration started. They are only 3% black for example and have slightly more Asians than blacks. That really puts a different spin on the complaints of minorities about not being represented. Of course there aren’t many of you on Tv; there aren’t many of you as a percentage of the overall population!

Generations born 2011- : ??? 2021 census data unavailable until 2023 (armies of clerks hard at work, no IBM tabulating machines for the census)
Generation born 2007-2011: 77% white (mixed race ramps up, Blair's "rub their noses in diversity" immigration policy starts to have an effect?)
Generations born 1977-2006: around 80% white (surprised it held at that level so long. birth or EU migration?)
Generations born 1967-1976: around 85% white
Generations born 1952-1971: 90%->80%
Generations born up to 1951: 95% white
Those numbers don't break down who was born in the UK, so for example the 1967 generation (86% white in 2011) presumably grew in a country that was more than 87% white (both in that age cohort and in the population as a whole).
Let's say kids going to school now are in a generation that's around 1/4 non-white. Let's say the air goes slowly out of the tire on white birth rates. And then we can't predict the implications of the principle that any non-white is entitled to residence in a white country as long as their country is dysfunctional enough.
Moving from England to UK whitens the picture a bit. But in England in 2011, already 5% black in the US sense, with the "mixed" included; and another 8% "Asian". And that's 2011, the 2021 figures will drop soon and be more much more "diverse".
Yes, this is considerably better with regard to black% than the US--pretty much any time since 1619. (Really was a watershed.)
But the critical aspect is ideology. In 1970, although the minoritarians were charging through the institutions, elbowing their way into power and spreading their filth, the nation itself was still in reasonable shape ideologically. In contrast, Britain right now is already defeated ideologically.
Their "elites" have swilled up American minoritarianism and enforce it with totalitarian zeal.

Truckers say they are prepared to block the West Coast’s third-busiest container port until California Gov. Gavin Newsom listens to concerns about a new state law that will make it harder for them to operate, ratcheting up the potential for new disruptions to already-strained U.S. supply chains.
“It may go on for a few more weeks or a few more months,” said Gary Schergill, the general manager for an Oakland-based trucking company, J & S Drayage LLC, who identified himself as a representative of hundreds of truckers protesting at the port. “We’d like to have a sit-down.”
Representatives for Mr. Newsom, a Democrat, didn’t respond to a request for comment.
The truck protests, originally intended to last a few days, have swelled since they began Monday, bringing cargo movements at the port almost to a standstill.
Protesters have prevented most trucks from dropping off and picking up containers at cargo-handling facilities. One trucker said protesters threatened to smash his windows if he entered the port.
As the number of protesters grew on Tuesday and Wednesday, unionized dockworkers refused to cross picket lines on foot or by car, citing health and safety concerns. The International Longshore and Warehouse Union has said it supports the new California law because it protects worker rights and helps them join a union.
Ed DeNike, president of SSA Containers, which handles about 70% of the cargo entering and leaving the port, said he hopes to resume some operations soon.
Once dockworkers do get to their cranes they won’t be able to do much work. Mr. DeNike said his container yards are so full the firm has only enough space to move about 2,000 of the 10,000 containers it usually loads and unloads from ships in a 24-hour period. “At some point, we may not be able to do anything,” he said.
Port officials said 15 container ships were waiting for berth space by the docks on Wednesday.
The Oakland port, a major import gateway and a hub for U.S. agricultural exports, has struggled to handle surges of container volumes during the Covid-19 pandemic. Before the pandemic it was unusual for ships to have to wait for a berth at the port.
Peter Friedmann, executive director of the Agriculture Transportation Coalition, a Washington-based association representing farming interests in shipping, said the protests are a blow to exporters of almonds, walnuts, rice and dairy products who were just beginning to make progress after two years of struggling to get products overseas. “The supply chain already is in crisis,” Mr. Friedmann said. “This is a huge disruption.”
The protests at the port gates mark the latest disruption to hit U.S. ports since the impact of the pandemic upended trade flows in 2020, triggering big backups at Southern California ports as companies rushed to restock inventories and the gateways struggled to handle surging container volumes. The backup at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach has receded but bottlenecks have hit ports including Oakland at times and have more recently grown at East Coast ports as importers have sought alternative gateways.
The California law, known as AB5, is part of a broader regulatory battle across the U.S. over independent-contractor arrangements at transportation companies such as Uber Technologies Inc. and Lyft Inc. The International Brotherhood of Teamsters, which aims to organize drivers in California, says trucking companies have misclassified drivers as independent contractors to deprive them of fair wages and benefits.
Many trucking companies employ their own drivers. But in California they also rely on an estimated 70,000 independent owner-operators carrying loads between the state’s ports and distribution centers. The law makes it harder for trucking companies to classify the drivers that work regularly for them as independent contractors.
Many drivers say the new law will force them to seek work as an employee-driver or they will have to pay more for insurance and permits to remain independent under the law’s guidelines.
Said Ahmedi, a 47-year-old trucker and protester from Elk Grove, Calif., said he likes the freedom of being self-employed, but it would be too complicated to continue as an owner-operator under the new law.
Mr. Ahmedi said he earned almost $70,000 last year as an independent driver and was still able to take two, monthlong trips to visit family and in-laws in Afghanistan and Azerbaijan.
“If I am a working driver I am stuck with the company,” he said.
California legislators passed the law in 2019 and it was due to take effect in 2020, but it was delayed because of a legal challenge by the California Trucking Association. A June 30 decision by the U.S. Supreme Court not to review the case allows California to begin implementing the law in the coming months. The trucking association’s legal challenge continues in lower courts.
Every day, millions of sailors, truck drivers, longshoremen, warehouse workers and delivery drivers keep mountains of goods moving into stores and homes to meet consumers’ increasing expectations of convenience. But this complex movement of goods underpinning the global economy is far more vulnerable than many imagined.

The English womens soccer team may lack people of color. But if they are anything like the US womens soccer team, they are well represented in the L portion of the LGBT crowd. Perhaps, someday the US womens soccer team will be entirely composed of the T portion of the the LGBT crowd. Overall, that would be unfortunate. However, any future T types that can force any future loudmouth wokester Rapinoe types to become bouncers at the L club, as opposed to female soccer internationals, is OK with me.

I’m out in the country now. Our village is quite walkable but, sadly, has little to walk to. The village a mile from the lot we intend to build on is smaller and in worse shape. A college town twenty or so minutes away (by car) has sucked all the commercial life out of these.

It’s a British English style- “England” denotes the national team and this style has been used for a long time. Also standard is the collective singular, e.g. “England are playing a grueling schedule (‘sheh-dual’) to prepare for Euro 2024.”

I like the above photo of the English woman’s soccer team. No butch haircuts. They all have long feminine hair. The pony tail athletic look. Some must be (lipstick) lesbian, but the face they present publically is 100% heterosexual. This contrasts with the US team of the past, with disgusting short hair lez Megan Rapinoe as leader. There used to be the phenomenon of a coach who could identify and develop female athletic talent in an urban high school. However, those days are long gone. If a black female athlete ends up being good at a young age, a private school will give her a scholarship. And the urban high schools girls teams stand no chance of winning against the whiter suburb teams.
The parental issue has to do with travel teams and professional coaching that black and Hispanic girls being raised by single mothers have little access to due to economics.

Probably some of this is similar to the complaints in the US about black under-representation in college sports outside of basketball and track: soccer and tennis tend to be pretty girl sports, and the modern minority female demands to be considered as attractive and desirable to society at large as white girls are. Soccer and tennis are both sports in which female participants generally have thin, athletic, and more or less normal figures that most women would love to have and men appreciate, whereas basketball demands a phenotype that is not considered desirable by either sex.
I suppose there are theoretical moral limits to the punishment our elites deserve for their crimes, but I’m certainly not going to delineate them, let alone enforce them.

“People who look like me” is one of the most incomprehensible constructions of the antiwhite memeplex. It’s true that people do have a preference for being around others of their own ethnic cohort. But, of course, this would be an argument for cultural homogeneity, not some sort of absurd multi-culti Frankenstein society where one derives “representation” by a pop singer or female soccer player who is the same ethnicity or race as you on the telly.
It’s just frankly true that there are plenty of people who “look like me” that I can’t stand being around, and find stupid and irritating, and plenty of people who don’t “look like me” at all who are my dearest friends and companions; there are plenty of famous people who “look like me” who should be on Real Raw News, and plenty of people who don’t that I look up to and admire.

A woman’s soccer team, much less a national soccer team, is not a random sample of the population. Even a random sample of, say, 25 women, out of the ~28 million females in England would regularly fall short of the 3 non-whites for proportionate representation.

Generations born 2011- : ??? 2021 census data unavailable until 2023 (armies of clerks hard at work, no IBM tabulating machines for the census)
Generation born 2007-2011: 77% white (mixed race ramps up, Blair’s “rub their noses in diversity” immigration policy starts to have an effect?)
Generations born 1977-2006: around 80% white (surprised it held at that level so long. birth or EU migration?)

Generations born 1952-1971: 90%->80%
Generations born up to 1951: 95% white
Those numbers don’t break down who was born in the UK, so for example the 1967 generation (86% white in 2011) presumably grew in a country that was more than 87% white (both in that age cohort and in the population as a whole).
Let’s say kids going to school now are in a generation that’s around 1/4 non-white. Let’s say the air goes slowly out of the tire on white birth rates. And then we can’t predict the implications of the principle that any non-white is entitled to residence in a white country as long as their country is dysfunctional enough.
I’m rooting for that too, but I also notice that the USWNT is getting more black at the younger levels. It’s probably a good thing – they’ll be less popular and their promotion of left wing, pro-BLM and LGBT politics will be less harmful to the young white girls that follow them.

It will be interesting to see how well women’s soccer continues to do under this theory that its popularity is a function of revealed preferences of the white upper middle class (howsoever cloaked in plausible deniability).
Twenty years ago when the women’s team had its first encounter with popularity the women were somewhat attractive, bright, healthy looking and wholesome with pony tails of long pretty hair. They presented themselves as the kinds of girls anyone wouldn’t mind his daughter growing up to become because they seemed to avoid becoming entirely vapid and boy-crazy. But now twenty years on many of the most popular players have revealed themselves to be women who love women, and some of the women they love are on the same team or on opposing teams. The current iteration of the team has lots of clipped, unnaturally died hair and tattoos and the kind of faux, unconvincing toughness and arrogance that only a woman would try to put on.
Is white upper middle class America comfortable enough with the Alphabet gang to actually deliver their precious little girls to what is an apparent pipeline to lesbianism? I always surmised that GBLT+ was something that the upper middle class used as a class marker and wedge to distinguish themselves from and against downscale whites but given the choice in secret they’d always choose to have straight children who give them grandchildren. I’m just not so sure anymore and it seems like many have over time convinced themselves of what were once their faux luxury opinions by so passionately arguing the alphabet cause for so long.
This just demonstrates the toxicity of “diversity” whenever you allow in a group that is non-integrable because of race or non-integrating because of religion.
Don’t do that! People who can’t or won’t integrate do not belong in your nation.

The current remake of All Creatures Great and Small is also surprisingly monochromatic. There’s one old black lady who appears in one or two episodes, and Siegfried’s rival vet (who’s depicted as being nasty and conniving) seems vaguely subcontinental, but he also shows up only once in while, briefly. Otherwise, it’s pretty much faithful to the original.
