SHOTS FIRED AT HOME OF INJURED AMSTERDAM RAPPER’S MOTHER
By Janene Pieters on Thursday, 27 August 2020 – 11:00

Multiple shots were fired at a home on Nieuwersluishof in Amsterdam Zuidoost during the early hours of Thursday morning. The mother of rapper Bigidagoe, who was injured in a shooting on Vechtstraat on Tuesday, lives in the targeted home, several sources said to Het Parool. …

This is the third shooting in Amsterdam since Tuesday afternoon, when rapper Bigidagoe, real name Danzel S., was gunned down on on Vechtstraat. He was rushed to hospital with serious injuries, but is now in a stable condition.

During the early hours of Wednesday morning, there was another shooting on Vechtsraat, leaving one man injured. According to Het Parool, that shooting was targeting the house of rapper “Justin van Zuid” on the same street.

Here is a recent video from this proud heir to the unique Dutch culture of Erasmus, Rembrandt, van Leeuwenhoek, Spinoza, Vermeer, Huygens, and Van Gogh.

  1. Great title post, Steve. In the same way that regions of the US, such as the real South, the Midwest, Yankee territory, etc, are now homogenized and State’s rights are a goner, all the countries of the world are to be equally homogenized (except maybe one, oh, and in Africa, where that’d be colonization and is unacceptable).

This works out great for the elites, though, as there will be no more unified regions of white people with means and ability anymore to stand up to them … it’s almost like they planned it.

We used to have real diversity among regions and even the various States, in this country. “Diversity” is one of those big lies. I remember when it started up, come to think of it.

I want to agree with Achmed that “Diversity Makes the Whole World the Same” is one of Steve’s best, most vivid headlines. It would make for a great book title, and an even better song (if they still wrote songs).

Diversity can only exist with separation. Think of different paint colors- separation makes them distinct, mixing results in an ugly brown.

Defenders of the antebellum South make this claim implicitly today. In the 19th century, they were quite explicit about it.

On my way over to Unz I came across a clip of a blacketball player exclaiming how exhausting it is to be black in America. Most of you here are thinking it's exhausting to be white in George Floyd's America. And you are, of course, correct. I have no idea who this blacketball player is because I gave up on corporate sports sometime in the 1990s when I realized watching muscular young men get all sweaty and stuff is something homosexuals would also enjoy.

Making literal heroes out of violent criminals. All musical genres evolve due to the need for novelty but there is no reason it had to evolve in that direction.

It’s the same with the hero worship for Zlatan. He’s basically an inbred Albanian blood-feuder. He validates everything wrong with the young men in Rosengard. It’s a genuine question how many more rapes and assaults his ascent inspired.

Now there are Moroccan gansters who extort businesses and shoot people with assault rifles and use grenades. Not to mention providing exciting boyfriends for Dutch women!

And so many people can be employed making TV series about this new exciting, diverse Amsterdam!

Though in London, a separate distinct genre, Gime, emerged, probably due to also rapping in English so they’re not emulating the sound but the lyrics in a different dialect, often attributed to ‘Wiley’ who most recently got cancelled for ‘anti-semitism’. He immediately had his MBE revoked which is really really rare, you usually have to commit treason or murder or something. But he invoked a ‘trope’ about Jewish music producers screwing over black rappers and not being allowed talk about Palestine despite every other radical position being praised.

Police are investigating after the grime artist Wiley posted a tirade of antisemitic comments on Twitter and Instagram.

He went on to advance an antisemitic trope, that Jewish people control business interests, in a comparison with the Ku Klux Klan. “There are 2 sets of people who nobody has really wanted to challenge #Jewish & #KKK but being in business for 20 years you start to understand why.”

Not so sure who has been afraid of the KKK in the last 2 generations. But incurring the wrath of Jewish music producers, who might otherwise have been displaced from making all the big bucks from black musicians if they were another ethnicity is surely something that keeps black rappers up at night. Also note, yes, he isn’t merely cancelled but now has a criminal record for it in the UK.

So it's like being in Larry Niven's Hyperspace? It's worse than the absence of existence. It aggressively forces your brain to believe in its non-existence.

Hyperspace was only half the problem.

It was a big problem. Every twenty-four hours one of us had to go out there, see if there were any dangerous masses around, drop back to normal space to take a fix and adjust course. I found myself getting unbearably tense during the few hours before each turn. So did Elephant. At these times we didn't dare talk to each other.

On my third trip I had the bad sense to look up -- and went more than blind. Looking up, there was nothing at all in my field of vision, nothing but the Blind Spot.

It was more than blindness. A blind man, a man whose eyes have lost their function, at least remembers what things looked like. A man whose optic brain center has been damaged doesn't. I could remember what I'd come out here for -- to find out if there were masses near enough to harm us -- but I couldn't remember how to do it. I touched a curved glass surface and knew that this was the machine that would tell me, if only I knew its secret.

Eventually my neck got sore, so I moved my head. That brought my eyes back into existence.

When we got the bubble pressurized, Elephant said, "Where were you? You've been gone half an hour."

"And lucky at that. When you go out there, don't look up."

    "Oh."

It's like French movies. They used to be mostly about quaint French people trying to cope with modernity (Jacques Tati), or existential dramas with a hint of eroticism (Malle, Truffaut, etc), or if not overlong and talkative films about upper-class people having affairs and discussing everything in a pedantic manner, but with its actors still distinctly French.

Now most contemporary French movies are about angry Arabs, numinous Negros, mischievous multiracial students talking in an extremely vulgar way, etc.

Considering that you can have much worse done to you for merely stating that "it is ok to be white", the reaction to Wiley is hardly testament to some sort of Jewish power.

Case in point (about Dutch TV series) is Van Der Valk. The show will probably be unfamiliar to American readers, but it was (is) a British police procedural using English-speaking actors playing Dutch characters and filmed in Amsterdam.

The series first ran in the 1970s, and all (or practically all) the cast of Dutch characters were white. Fast-forward to the 21st century remake, and white "Dutchmen" are a minority (and nauseatingly PC to boot).

Only if you prefer the kind of frivolous inquiry into psychobabble mechanics of how hard-partying charisma-thugs are electronically “created.” Non-Black audiences seem to have developed a way of tapping the societal brakes on this trope, at least for gangstertainers who are likewise non-Black.

In other words their dorky non-Black squareness eventually wins out against their authentic, fast-life-history YOLO Blackness. What is your “non-biological” explanation for the apparently reversed situation among Black audiences and the content creators they tend to inspire?

    , @Redman
    @Art Deco

At the time, NWA was more of a cultural exposition than music. Pubic Enemy and NWA had a prominent role in expanding musical expression. Their music exposed hundreds of millions of people around the world to the separate and very different world of American blacks during the crack epidemic. At that time, their styles were innovative (particularly PE) and began to have a significant impact on the broader culture.

But the rappers that followed (mainly after 1994-95) could never match their creativity and were destined to be derivative. Fast forward 30 years to today, and rappers are doing the same thing. It seems stale.

No but there's a common factor of desired societal disruption, which may be biological or at least historically demonstrable. Look at the diapered black soldier in the Sand Hill indicting white civilization. They absolutely would have attempted NWA in 1963 if they could get away with it. Dinah Washington released only one single in 1963, before her untimely death that December 14th. It peaked at #92 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, and did not appear at all on the Billboard R&B singles chart. I see no indication on Wikipedia.org that any of her three albums released that year even made the Billboard 200 album charts!?!

Brook Benton released several singles, in 1963, but his biggest Billboard Hot 100 hit single, that year, reached only #3 (and that single— “Hotel Happiness”— was actually released in November 1962); it reached #2 on the Billboard R&B singles chart. Of his eight singles actually released in 1963, none made the Hot 100’s Top Twenty, and only three made its Top Forty; those three hit #4, #7 and #15 on the Billboard R&B singles charts. Brook released two albums in 1963 (“Golden Hits, Volume 2” and “Best Ballads of Broadway”); the hits collection peaked at #82 on the Billboard 200 album chart, while the Broadway-ballads collection failed to chart, at all.

Long story short, Dinah Washington and Brook Benton were two fine talents, but neither one topped the charts in 1963, let alone dominated them.

Here are the 21 #1 hits on the 1963 Billboard Hot 100 singles charts, just prior to the British Invasion:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Billboard_Hot_100_number_ones_of_1963

Here is the 1963 Billboard Year-End Hot 100 Singles Chart:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billboard_Year-End_Hot_100_singles_of_1963

The latter chart, especially, is replete with great Black pop artists and groups, both old and new. I was fortunate to have seven older siblings, and so I was immersed in the popular music of the 1960s, on Chicago AM stations like WLS (“Channel 89!”) and WCFL, many years earlier than most of my peers.

    https://www.theherald-news.com/2020/08/25/man-shot-through-car-window-in-bolingbrook-stole-womans-property-cops/aw90ijl/

    Key point:

“With the exception of Banks, the other occupants exited the car and complied with officers’ commands, police said. Banks kept reaching back into the car, police said.

When Banks exited the car, he refused to comply with officers’ commands and walked to them while yelling, putting his hands under his vest and telling them, “You’re going to have to shoot me,” and “Shoot me,” police said.”

    Could’ve gotten ugly:

“Police said a Taser was deployed on Banks “with negative results” and he began punching the officers when they grabbed him. Banks was taken to the ground but he continued to fight with them and a Taser was deployed again, police said.

After Banks was handcuffed and placed in a squad car, he kicked the officers and was “noncompliant,” police said.”

I suspect this will now be the go to reaction for suspects.

Great title post, Steve. In the same way that regions of the US, such as the real South, the Midwest, Yankee territory, etc, are now homogenized and State's rights are a goner, all the countries of the world are to be equally homogenized (except maybe one, oh, and in Africa, where that'd be colonization and is unacceptable).

This works out great for the elites, though, as there will be no more unified regions of white people with means and ability anymore to stand up to them ... it's almost like they planned it.

We used to have real diversity among regions and even the various States, in this country. "Diversity" is one of those big lies. I remember when it started up, come to think of it.

That tragic and intractable phenomenon which we watch with horror on the other side of the Atlantic but which there is interwoven with the history and existence of the States itself, is coming upon us here by our own volition and our own neglect.

The Wire was one of the best TV shows of all time. But it’s hard to imagine a new show based on the same themes and types of characters having the same impact. It’s been done.

    • Replies: @What a joke
    @Redman

I really can't understand why everyone keeps rating The Wire so highly. It's a slow-moving, boring series full of Hollywood stereotypes, each of them taken one step further.
It's basically the story of two alcoholic detectives, one white and one black, who carry the series along (and provide the only comic relief) against a backdrop of subplots with impossible, stereotypical characters that sit on the "white man bad, black man good" narrative. Apart from the white protagonist, whites are portrayed as immoral, evil, or downright incompetent with few or zero redeeming values. On the other hand, blacks are portrayed as witty, wise, competent, humane, and morally just, who want to do better, if only the invisible white man's hand didn't keep them down and force them to break the law and live in the ghetto's tragic dirt.

Fully PC-compliant white characters include (off the top of my head) a cop so incompetent he accidentally kills an innocent black man; a smart, but selfish ladder-climbing major who's revealed to be a closeted gay out of the blue; a smart, but lazy cop always looking to avoid hard work; a selfish politician who's out of touch with reality; a brash, young detective who's too dumb to make sergeant. Any competent white is ethnic and evil.
On the other hand, you have plenty black heroes and anti-heroes: a brash, young detective who wises up and makes sergeant; an old, wise, quiet detective who's solving cases noone else can; a competent, young lesbian who aces every mission; a skilled captain who's kept down by the system (but gets the redhead); a police boss who's smart but has his hands tied by the superiors; various street-smart thugs who would've made it in life if only they weren't marginalized; a comic-book caricature of an openly-gay super antihero street thug; a comic-book caricature of a black mob enforcer wearing glasses and a bow-tie, holding a book in hand. And so on and so on.

And the Greeks. Oh, the Greeks. Their underboss looks the part, but when they try to speak Greek, it's so mangled you wonder if David Simon ran out of budget when making his "ultra realistic" show.

I learned much more about Baltimore and its ghettos from James Lafond's rants than from this 101% PC-certified crap.

That's exactly it. I moved to Europe in the 60's, the standard refrain from the locals was how bad White Americans treated Blacks. By the 80's, taxi drivers in Paris would tell any French speaking American how bad the Blacks were, and how stupid allowing their importation was.

Remember, the National Front under Jean Marie Le Pen was founded in 1972, I believe, and it was the first anti-immigrant party of the post-war years in Europe. The French people learned fast-it's their politicians who are obsessed with population growth and fantasies of human fungibility.

Although De Gaulle let Algeria go in 62 as he realized 10,000,000 Muslims with the right to move to France would spell the end of France, his successors were cretins on the subject. Even after Boumedienne and Khadaffi explicitly stated in 74 that they would conquer Europe via differential birthrates, France had a "Eurabia" fantasy, that they would be the integrated leader of an Arab-Euro European population, and thereby increase France's status and power among world nations. There even used to be a magazine called "Eurabia", which promoted this codswallop, if memory serves.

An assinine and idiotic idea, to be sure, but no more idiotic than the American fantasy of the 50's and 60's that all that was necessary for full Black integration and equality in America was the dismantling of Jim Crow and other barriers to Black achievement. All this would take no more time than 15 or 20 years, tops.

65 years later, only liberals even pretend to believe this.

Great men like Enoch Powell dared to speak the truth and essentially forfeited their careers.

As I recall from my art history class, there is much discussion about her headgear, because it comes not from The Netherlands, but from the Third World. Probably the colonies. So she is upper-crust with that large pearl earring, but there it is on her head — that prescient warning sign, the imported third-world headgear. I don’t know whether Vermeer intended it as a warning sign, but with hindsight, it sure is prescient.

You'd think they'd have more sense than to repeat what was such a disaster in America. I think part of the reason is that Europeans look down on white Americans and think all the race problems in the US are caused by white bigotry and ignorance. I know they have few decades' worth of evidence to show that multiracialism is just as big a disaster in Europe, but people are slow to admit they were wrong.

    Replies: @Colin Wright, @Charlesz Martel

That’s exactly it. I moved to Europe in the 60’s, the standard refrain from the locals was how bad White Americans treated Blacks. By the 80’s, taxi drivers in Paris would tell any French speaking American how bad the Blacks were, and how stupid allowing their importation was.

Remember, the National Front under Jean Marie Le Pen was founded in 1972, I believe, and it was the first anti-immigrant party of the post-war years in Europe. The French people learned fast-it’s their politicians who are obsessed with population growth and fantasies of human fungibility.

Although De Gaulle let Algeria go in 62 as he realized 10,000,000 Muslims with the right to move to France would spell the end of France, his successors were cretins on the subject. Even after Boumedienne and Khadaffi explicitly stated in 74 that they would conquer Europe via differential birthrates, France had a “Eurabia” fantasy, that they would be the integrated leader of an Arab-Euro European population, and thereby increase France’s status and power among world nations. There even used to be a magazine called “Eurabia”, which promoted this codswallop, if memory serves.

An assinine and idiotic idea, to be sure, but no more idiotic than the American fantasy of the 50’s and 60’s that all that was necessary for full Black integration and equality in America was the dismantling of Jim Crow and other barriers to Black achievement. All this would take no more time than 15 or 20 years, tops.

65 years later, only liberals even pretend to believe this.

Great men like Enoch Powell dared to speak the truth and essentially forfeited their careers.

No but there’s a common factor of desired societal disruption, which may be biological or at least historically demonstrable.

Apart from the white protagonist, whites are portrayed as immoral, evil, or downright incompetent with few or zero redeeming values. On the other hand, blacks are portrayed as witty, wise, competent, humane, and morally just, who want to do better, if only the invisible white man’s hand didn’t keep them down and force them to break the law and live in the ghetto’s tragic dirt.

Fully PC-compliant white characters include (off the top of my head) a cop so incompetent he accidentally kills an innocent black man; a smart, but selfish ladder-climbing major who’s revealed to be a closeted gay out of the blue; a smart, but lazy cop always looking to avoid hard work; a selfish politician who’s out of touch with reality; a brash, young detective who’s too dumb to make sergeant. Any competent white is ethnic and evil.
On the other hand, you have plenty black heroes and anti-heroes: a brash, young detective who wises up and makes sergeant; an old, wise, quiet detective who’s solving cases noone else can; a competent, young lesbian who aces every mission; a skilled captain who’s kept down by the system (but gets the redhead); a police boss who’s smart but has his hands tied by the superiors; various street-smart thugs who would’ve made it in life if only they weren’t marginalized; a comic-book caricature of an openly-gay super antihero street thug; a comic-book caricature of a black mob enforcer wearing glasses and a bow-tie, holding a book in hand. On August 1, 2016, Kane pleaded not guilty to one count of criminal trespassing and four counts of non-criminal harassment after confrontations with four separate people at a downtown Buffalo bar in June 2016. At that time, Kane was a member of the Buffalo Sabres. According to a police report, Kane became involved in a fight with a bouncer at a bar called Bottoms Up, after allegedly grabbing an unnamed woman by the throat and attempting to force her into a car outside the nightclub. A second police report alleged that, in a separate incident, Kane grabbed a woman by the arms inside the nightclub and attempted to force her outside. Kane surrendered to Buffalo police in late July 2016.

On November 4, 2019, Kane was sued by The Cosmopolitan casino in Las Vegas after he walked out on a half-million-dollar gambling debt. The suit alleged that Kane had received $500,000 in gambling markers from the casino in April while the Sharks were in Las Vegas for a playoff series against the Vegas Golden Knights. Such markers are essentially lines of credit which allow casino guests to continue gambling, and those extended to Kane were dispursed in eight separate installments, ranging in value from $20,000 to $100,000. The suit claims that Kane left the casino without making arrangements to settle the debt. The casino sought full restitution plus repayment of legal fees associated with the lawsuit.

On June 8, 2020, Kane co-founded the Hockey Diversity Alliance, alongside former player Akim Aliu, to address intolerance and racism in hockey.

I was fortunate to have seven older siblings, and so I was immersed in the popular music of the 1960s, on Chicago AM stations like WLS (“Channel 89!”) and WCFL, many years earlier than most of my peers.

And none of it was his fault: the Belgian king called a conference of experts to try to figure out a way to stop the killing and maiming, which was not a Belgian idea but a native practice.

I always thought the evil Belgian King Leopold was just British propaganda because the Brits wanted the Congo for Britain.

I hate spell check. It turned propaganda into property and added an o to Leopold.

Steve mentions Vermeer. Pictured: Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, one of the most famous paintings in the history of art.

    Replies: @Alden

The scarf may very well have come from Italy, one of the premier textile countries in the world at the time. By the time of Vermeer there were silk worms and silk weaving workshops all over Europe, including Netherlands.

Every single college course just has to sneak in some anti White propaganda. Did you take biology or anatomy? Did your natural light red haired paper white skinned instructor tell you that blonde hair and blue eyes are mutations and the sooner they’re bred out the better?

Diversity just gives so much value. Organised crime in Amsterdam used to be very dull, lots of big burly Dutch men smuggling things, not much violence.

Now there are Moroccan gansters who extort businesses and shoot people with assault rifles and use grenades. Not to mention providing exciting boyfriends for Dutch women!

And so many people can be employed making TV series about this new exciting, diverse Amsterdam!

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9lUoGaQqms

Though in London, a separate distinct genre, Gime, emerged, probably due to also rapping in English so they're not emulating the sound but the lyrics in a different dialect, often attributed to 'Wiley' who most recently got cancelled for 'anti-semitism'. He immediately had his MBE revoked which is really really rare, you usually have to commit treason or murder or something. But he invoked a 'trope' about Jewish music producers screwing over black rappers and not being allowed talk about Palestine despite every other radical position being praised.

    https://www.theguardian.com/music/2020/jul/25/wileys-management-firm-drops-grime-artist-over-antisemitic-tweets

Police are investigating after the grime artist Wiley posted a tirade of antisemitic comments on Twitter and Instagram.
    ...

Also note, yes, he isn't merely cancelled but now has a criminal record for it in the UK.

Why do they always have anti-social personality disorder? The loudest voices always have this. Could it be that they consider this a form of violence against whites?

Akim Aliu is from Ukraine with a Nigerian father. Nice to see him repaying his hosts too. Impressive form, father skipped out on two countries to trade up and his son agitates against the natives in the best one. I also like how they were just able to go from Ukraine to Canada.

It's 'incredibly insulting' that the NHL hasn't involved itself in silly cringe activism. Don't they realise that all sport including, no especially, the ones not played of or any interest to black people, are obliged to act like they're the NBA?

It is amazing that the not-very-intelligent leader of the NBA, LeBron James, can effectively shut down ALL sports leagues by simply issuing his own fatwa. I just finished it last night and I don't get what all the hoopla is about. Parts of it are indeed beautifully written, but the narrator is neurotic and some parts just don't make sense. How come Yvette has an affair with him? How come he breaks up with her so suddenly and violently? How come Metty turns him in? How come his friend's BigBurger wasn't nationalized, and his crummy store was? I kept waiting for some kind of resolution that never came.

Apropos of the recent Steve post about Michelle Obama complaining she is invisible, the narrator discusses many women with whom he has relations, presumably all of them African, but only describes ONE relationship, with Yvette, as fulfilling. Kind of a noN-Western version of Orientalism, fetishizing white women. A lot of unanswered questions and unclosed loops, I agree.
