Sports website Deadspin explains it all:

Don’t Doubt What You Saw With Your Own Eyes

Laura Wagner, 34 minutes ago Filed to: MAGA TEEN

Two days ago, video was posted online that pretty much everyone who saw immediately recognized for what it was—footage of white teens taunting and harassing a Native American elder named Nathan Phillips on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. What was happening was clear and unmistakable, not just resonant but immediately recognizable as iconic. If you wanted to compress the history of relations between the powerful and the powerless in America, or the dynamics of the current moment, into a single image, you couldn’t do much better than to present a white teen in a MAGA hat, surrounded by a screaming horde of his peers, smirking into the face of an old Native American man.

Perhaps—probably—because what had happened was so undeniable, it was immediately denied. Right-wing trolls not only immediately proposed that the visibly aggressive teens, who were draped in the symbols of white nationalism and misogyny, were in fact the aggressed upon, but began a campaign of brutal online harassment against anyone—especially journalists and especially female journalists—who accurately described what they had seen, or reacted to it on the terms it deserved. In all it was an enactment of the culture-war tactics pioneered by Gamergate and used by Donald Trump to ascend to the pinnacle of global power: While random MAGA chuds and Pepes doxxed and threatened people online in an attempt to silence them and intimidate others, respectable types urged caution, proposing that if you were thoughtful enough you would perhaps realize that you hadn’t in fact seen what you had just seen, or that if you had, maybe it wasn’t that bad at all. Straight news reporters like the Wall Street Journal’s Byron Tau turned the subtext into text, asking whomst among us hasn’t participated in a racially-charged frenzy of barely-restrained violence that they wish hadn’t been become an instantly iconic representation of what America has been historically and what it is now:

  3. She really needs to watch the whole video, and others from other angles. I can’t even understand how this non-event has become so important. Nothing happened except that some blacks harassed those kids who were waiting for a bus, and some dumbass guy with a drum beats his rhythm in the face of a boy.

What was happening was clear and unmistakable, not just resonant but immediately recognizable as iconic.

Ha! It is amazing how so many primed people saw this in a slice of video. This is what they wanted to see.

    …visibly aggressive teens…

    Huh?

Still no outrage or story about the black group flinging poo at the high school students and calling them racist names like “cracker,” and the anti-Catholic “child molester.”

Dead silence for our Jewish-controlled media. I ask again: Will YOU speak out against this? It is an obvious, hate-filled, nationwide act of violence on innocent, white, Christian boys. Young men who have a future and who have now been opened up to hatred. Celebrities and “privileged” people have called to dox them and to harm them. Imagine being that boy.

Will YOU say out loud what it is?

    … harassing a Native American elder…

First, I am getting tired of the use of the term ‘elder’. Do they used that term when describing anyone else? Do they describe an attack on old White person as an attack on an elder, or as an attack on an elderly person? Are they trying to imply elder is a rank? And if so, how do we know this guy has it, and why would White journalists pretend to understand tribal custom?

Second, in regards to Dead Spin staying on point as of 35 minutes ago, even with all the evidence, I think this tweet explains why:

  8. Forbes says:

  10. Anon[268] • Disclaimer says:

I thought Deadspin was a sports site. How is this dustup in her beat?

The “tomahawk chop movement” is the new “O.K. sign” or “Hitler salute.” It’s getting to the point that you cannot move your extremities without somehow getting into a position that the ADL has in their extensive “Racist Hand Signs” database:

    https://www.adl.org/education-and-resources/resource-knowledge-base/hate-symbols?cat_id%5B153%5D=153

Actually, they have not added the tomahawk chop yet: I should notify them of their omission. In fact, the simple O.K. sign is not even there, although the two-hand “88,” “Peckerwood,” and “White Power” signs are similar.

Somebody has a paying job cataloging hand signs with names like “The Peckerwood” while factory workers go hungry for lack of prospects. The new economy, indeed.

    This is a good observation.

You get the feeling that similar ‘incidents’ could have been ginned up from photos or video clips taken at any of a wide range of protests and counter-protests.

So why now, and at such fervent intensity, and involving mere students?

I think there’s something big coming, and it’s Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s resignation from the Supreme Court/death, with Trump nominating uber-Catholic Amy Coney Barrett to replace her.

There is a theme to the Leftist agitating these past couple of weeks (see also the seemingly absurd, over-the-top attacks against that judicial appointee being a member of the Knights of Columbus, and the hysteria over Mrs Pence’s taking a job at a Christian school): demonizing Christianity in the public square.

The Moloch-serving pro-abortion left is going crazy over the possibility that their sacrament may be called into judgement. They are preparing for a hideous scorched-earth campaign against Barrett when she’s nominated, or maybe trying to scare Trump and his advisors enough to put them off nominating her in the first place.

The priming that exists is the power of suggestion, i.e. planting an idea or preconceived notion in your head, and then a stimulus response occurs–a confirmation bias.

E.g., a news reader reports a story of high school boys harassing a Native American elder, and then running a brief video clip which appears to confirm the news reader’s story–although it did nothing of the sort.

And contrarily, who doesn’t know the selective perception test? 2 min video.

  28. @Anon

Deadspin was founded by NY Times sports reporters, IIRC. Explains a lot, especially since the NY Times sports section is largely second-class compared to other big city’s sports sections.

Sports sections were typically one of the the biggest moneymakers/subscription-makers for papers; e.g the Boston Globe was severely savagd by its readers in the 1970s for its pro-busing, pro-black, anti-Irish slant, but its sports section kept it afloat. But the NY Times sports section has never been its big draw, and its sports section pales next to the local tabloids.

So its sports writers are even more SJW than usual sports writers, because they never had to be anything but.

I don’t know anything about the author of this piece, but it might actually be a pretty smart tactical move. My initial inclination was to scoff, as even bona fide goodthinkers are in retreat, to say nothing of the squishy right who jumped in with quick condemnations, and even some of the goodthinkers seem genuinely shocked and apologetic. But this writer might be somewhat astute. She compares the counterreaction to both GamerGate and Trump’s victory. Maybe she knows and she is scared. I only followed GamerGate at times from the sides and in the aftermath, but it seems like a striking victory, especially inasmuch as it seems to have clearly laid the groundwork for the online element in Trump’s victory, without which there would have been no victory. I’ve been following the current story pretty actively, and the degree of outrage and the sense of betrayal I see from a wide array of people, especially people who seem not to be convinced Trump supporters or even less dissident rightists of any sort seems considerable. And many seem to be taking action of one sort or another. This seems to include a growing number of sincere Christian sorts who might have been (at times reasonably) put off by some elements of Trumpism and rightist online activisim. For instance, https://www.lifesitenews.com/ has a slew of articles and is encouraging online activism. Some people are waking up to the fact that some of them JUST HATE CHRISTIAN WHITE BOYS. And acknowledging this does not make anyone a “Nazi” or whatever. On this issue, the truth is coming out quickly, people are repenting left and right, people are collecting names of those who have advocated violence against minors, lawyers are engaged, etc., and it seems the author of this piece senses it, and knows it is bad for her side, and is trying to build a counter-counternarrative. She posts a number of links to people that I didn’t even know had recanted. Jamie Lee Curtis? Well, good for her. Kara Swisher (apparently some mouthpiece of the tech elite)? Well, OK, I read in the past hour an article describing her as not all that smart, but if she’s recanting she might be acting astutely and perhaps even honestly on some level. On the surface it might seem the author errs in revealing these recantations, but perhaps she is aiming to defuse them. Perhaps that is a clever move, if she aims to stick with that side.

And of course she DOES NOT link to the full video originally posted by the Black Hebrew cameraman:

Who has time to watch two hours of racial and sexual insults?

    https://www.theringer.com/2017/2/16/16042460/how-sportswriting-became-a-liberal-profession-dc7123a5caba

I’m not sure that I buy the overly complicated explanations. All of journalism today is Leftist. Journalists are convinced that their job is not to report the news but to comfort the afflicted and to afflict the comfortable. Sports writing affords relatively few opportunities to do this, so the sportswriters throw in OT asides to prove their Leftist bonafides to their colleagues.

Two doctors examined the women the Scottsbro boys were accused of raping. The first to examine the girls was Dr. RR Bridges who found “a great amount” of semen in Ruby Bates (younger and more attractive than Victoria Price) . He found some inflammation but no vaginal tearing in either girl, and so thought they could not have been raped. Modern texts on sexual assault are quite clear that many rape victims have no injuries whatsoever, due to physiological reactions. There is considerable evidence that, contrary to what the Boys’ lawyers claimed, neither of the women was a prostitute, they were factory workers.

In 1977 Ruby Bates and Victoria Price sued NBC for a mini series drama on the case in which a defence lawyer character said that said they have proven the girls were prostitutes. Both were still living to NBC’s surprise, and sued. After to the Supreme Court agreed to hear her suit in a preliminary reading, NBC offered Price a settlement, which she used to buy a house. Bates had died too soon to get anything. If NBC had anything to back up the calumny of prostitution, they would not have settled. I think it was pretty clear that they were both factory workers like they said and like they worked at for decades after the case. Even if they had been prostitutes, it was not open season on them for blacks or anyone else.

Moreover, a 13 year year old black who was not charged immediately said on being taken off the train that the girls had been raped by the older black boys he was with; journalists heard him tell the story hours later. At trial, one of the black defendants also said the girls had been raped . The ringleader was found to have a knife on him when they brought from prison to see the governor about a pardon, and was intent of taking revenge on the one who testified against him. The same hardcase stabbed a fellow prisoner, and escaped from prison drowning one dog and intimidated the others trailing him, and got to another state. Years later he was sent to prison there for killing a man in a bar fight. Yet another one of the convicted rapists married but then murdered his wife.

If you’re like Polly Toynbee and other opponents of Brexit you celebrate their deaths, since the elderly voted for Brexit in greater numbers than the youth did.

But that’s ok, since most of those elderly and now deceased Brexit opponents were white.

Deadspin was part of the Gawker network so it loosely covers sports, but more from a sports culture gossip angle. The tone is highly smug with a bitter disdain for athletes and the average sports fan. Fair enough, but this is really the worst tone for a publication that is supposed to appeal to sports fans. After Peter Thiel and The Hulkster took down the House of Denton, Deadspin and a host of other Gawker related media brands were bought up out of bankruptcy by Haim Saban’s Univision.

I suspect you are right about a narrative link between the anti-KoC claims of certain female Senators, the anti-Karen Pence “Christian school” push, and the pushing of the (very easily debunked) MAGA Catholic boy story being meant to build a case against Amy Coney Barrett. (No doubt some of it is just hatred, but why this right now?)

    Can it work for them?
I suspect they need to pull in segments of two rather disparate elements of the broader “right”: 1) Libertarian minded “rightists” who are either outright atheists or agnostics or are skeptical of “too much” religion even if they admit religion is needed for a functioning society, and 2) fringe-oriented thinkers who regard the Catholic Church, and perhaps institutional Christianity in general, as inherently linked to child abuse and/or the incorporation of occultism into Christianity. Some of the utter deviants on the left probably understand this perfectly well and know what they are doing.

I suspect they will lose, since I suspect they systematically underestimate how much value decent people somewhat trying to raise children in a decent way place on their children. But who knows?

The Latin population is quickly joining the abortion frenzy as well, as the Hispanic fertility rate is dropping in free-fall at the moment. It’s one of those evil things that you just have to turn a blind eye to – while not partaking in the abortion racket yourself.

The Christian Fundamentalists want to criminalize abortion without realizing the demographic damage it will inflict on the country. I’ve always maintained that a rich white girl will find ways to “terminate” her pregnancy, be it legal or illegal (look at Brazil). Poor whites are Christian and won’t abort.

I just don’t trust a woman. When the next mass shooting happens, will she be able to look the cameras head-on and say “yes, you still have the right to bear arms”. OR, will she see the crying moms and children and say “it could’ve been my adopted Negroes!”

But it could just be a coincidence – like writing a #1 hit song, nobody can know in advance what makes a clip “go viral”.

Deadspin was part of the Gawker network so it loosely covers sports, but more from a sports culture gossip angle. The tone is highly smug with a bitter disdain for athletes and the average sports fan.

Not quite — Deadspin only bitterly disdains carefully-selected athletes.

I look at Deadspin occasionally as a way to stay up to date on the Left’s latest obsessions, and it rarely disappoints; there’s always a link to a story showing not-so-sophisticated lefties just the tone and tack they should take on the issue du jour.

Deadspin’s other focus is finding ways to use sports as a way of undermining American/western traditional culture. For example, one of their ongoing themes is showcasing and lionizing PoC athletes who behave in outrageously unsportsmanlike ways (e.g. NFL players who taunt their opponents), while demonizing anyone on other teams, in the media, etc., who criticizes this kind of behavior. They also regularly run stories mocking athletes (especially if they’re white) who do try to be ‘good sports’ in the traditional sense.

It really is Tucker doing what he does well, and links to the themes he made in his “monologue” that got such attention. Specifically, he says it isn’t ultimately about “race” but about the powerful maintaining control. And I think Tucker is right about that, even if race really is more important than “the narrative” allows (as it is).

I think one of problems here behind this cackle of petulant hysterics, is that huge numbers of American women are utterly disconnected from any understanding of reality.

For them hot water just comes out of the tap, power out of the lines, heat out of the register. There’s always food in the store and gas at the station, and always at least four bars of service. That stuff “just is”.

I’m sure my grandmother wanted to give my grandfather a good talking to now and again. And probably did a time or two–he could be a piece of work. But she would never presume he was disposable, just some hunk of smirking male privilege that needed to be tossed away. Someone had to plow the fields, look after the livestock, maintain and fix the machinery, put up the hay… while she was tending the garden, stocking the root cellar, cooking and cleaning and making sure the kids did their chores.

But for these modern gals … everything just is. And for this class of scribblers and whiners it “just is” without them doing any actual work!

They yak about white privilege and male privilege and destroying the patriarchy, and have never given any thought to what their lives would actually be like if the smirking MAGA hatted white guys weren’t around. That the lights would go out and they’d have no bars of service and wouldn’t even make it through the car park without being accosted and raped by vibrants.

It would be hilarious to have a “white men don’t show up for work day”. One day and we’d have a consensus, the border wall underway, and immigration moratorium and states ratifying a repeal of the 19th amendment.

    Let me add to this:
DJT has jumped in before either the school or the diocese have made any correction to their initial condemnation of the students.
The school website initially had a popup frame that contained the “official” condemnation. The school website was unavailable as of today, I think. (Who knows, maybe there is internal conflict and they just killed it.. I hope it is so…)
By contrast, the Diocese of Covington website was until Sunday, I think, putting up a page that consisted solely of the official condemnation of the students. Other portions of the website were still available if you linked to them directly, but there were no links from the homepage. By contrast, as of Monday, they revamped it, and incorporated the condemnation into a more reasonable looking homepage. It included a FAKE BUTTON suggesting that you could email them regarding the condemnation. But it was simply an image and included no link. It was (and is, around 11PM EST Monday) an icon-like image of an envelope attached to an html element containing the condemnation message. Apparently they think dumbsh*ts will think their browser just didn’t work…. and yet anyone can inspect the source code…. and notice that there is no actual link at all!

Hey, i got an idea. How about a Protestant? You know the folks who created the nation.

That would be a nice gesture.

A not-much-commented-on Rubicon was crossed sometime between 2000 and 2005, when White Protestants slipped below the 50% mark for the first time in U.S. history. Symbolically overseen by degenerate WASP scion George W. Bush. So ended the near-400-year run of White-Protestant numerical majority in North America. It was a good run.

400-year run of White-Protestant numerical majority

For much of that time, N.America had a huge (75-80%) White-Protestant supermajority, said to be around a 95% majority among Whites; e.g., only 1 of the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence was a Catholic); more recently (20th century) more like a two-thirds overall majority, downhill starting in the 1970s.

(A caveat: By our era, a lot of the White-Catholics in the USA are defacto Protestants in a meaningful, cultural-political sense.)

This reminds me of a similar controversy a few years ago, where a video posted on Youtube completely contradicted the official leftist narrative of a particular event. I was following the story on a lefty forum and it was striking that the posters there simply refused to watch the video. The ostensible reason was that the channel in question also had alt-right/pro-Trump videos and therefore it was a ‘Nazi’ channel, and they didn’t want to patronise Youtube ‘Nazis’. It was all BS of course, since even after one of the posters re-hosted the video on his own channel, they still refused to watch it. What is there to “debunk”?

There is nothing in Christianity that requires mixing, but equally, there is nothing in Christianity to prevent it.

Meaning that Christians are largely free to follow fashions (aka “their hearts”) on this question.

Christianity may be silent on whether an unmixed society should proceed to mix or not, but the entire spirit of Christianity seems dead set against making the kinds of changes that would take a mixed society and make it unmixed.

So if it’s up to Christianity to save “western civilization” – meaning, white people – then yep, stick a fork in it, it’s done for.

    No Buffalo-ing Joe?

The Covington Kid deserves credit for standing his ground rather than running from Nathan Phillips, the one-geezer (Indian) gauntlet who was backed by the Deep Creep State. He would have likely suffered severe legal consequences had he lifted so much as a middle finger in his defense, but might have made good use of an air horn (something also appropriate for facing off megaphones at Starbucks) at something much less than a Little Big Horn. I very highly recommend Richard Grenier’s “Indian Love Call” – which is more than just a devastating review of “Dances With Wolves.” His piece ends with an account of the rescue of white troopers by “Buffalo”* soldiers.

    https://www.commentarymagazine.com/articles/indian-love-call/

iSteve earlier treated us to the “successful” Rain Dance done by someone who seems to be some sort of pow-wow (less offensive than Elizabeth Warren’s “Pow Wow Chow”?) protege of Nathan Phillips on what seems to be truly “Magic Dirt” and accompanied by music from Skrillex (name is said to “mean nothing,” but might sound like a cognate of the Viking’s “Skræling” – itself apparently a word of uncertain origin).

Whatever else might be thought of “Little Big Man,” the following scene (which also involves rain) comes across as sweet and funny, in particular its memorable line of, “Sometimes the magic works; sometimes it doesn’t.”

I have a poorly-informed impression that some Amerinds have a sense of humor (that and a lot of alcohol might help deal with the loss of North America – also see of course the Oxy-Dis-Contin “White Death”). With respect to Dustin Hoffman’s role in LBM, there’s something out there by Ben Franklin to the effect that white children abducted by Indians often returned to the latter after being reunited with Western Civ.

Presbyterian congregations are run by elders. “Presbyter” means elder in Greek. Presbyterian congregations are kind of like Indian tribes in that the congregations are independent, local, self-governing communities run by the elders rather than an overarching, remote, hierarchical authority like the Catholic Church.

Agreed. There are still quite a few commentators on the right who are sugar-coating Nathan Phillips’s role in this episode. Maybe because Phillips looks like a harmless old codger (although he’s not actually all that old), he’s being given the benefit of the doubt, even though it’s obvious he instigated the confrontation, and then told brazen, highly incendiary lies to the media.

William Jacobson of the Legal Insurrection blog has put up an excellent post with video clips illustrating the leftist tactic Phillips used, i.e. an activist gets in an enemy’s face, then immediately tries to turn the tables and act like a victim, i.e. the activist squeals that the victim is the aggressor who is oppressing the activist. There will also be a sidekick who begins video recording right after the activist makes his or her move.

What I remember most now, however, is how that station was a leftist propaganda machine run by a stereotypical character.

At the first staff meeting I attended, our station manager told us that Boulder was one of “the three Bs: Boston, Boulder, and Berkeley,” and that our job was to broadcast the leftist, radical, hippy agenda that emanated from those three places. (I believe people in Boulder were flattering themselves by thinking that their town had as much influence as the other two places. It didn’t, and it doesn’t, but maybe those freaks needed an outpost and propaganda sprinkler in the middle of the country. Maybe the whole thing was deeper and more sophisticated than I realized.)

If you could have seen our NPR station manager, you would have laughed. He was a swarthy, ahem, “ethnic” guy with a big, dark beard. A stereotype. How he came to be the station manager of our “National Public Radio” station, I will never know, but there he was, our “establishment.” This shit has been pushed now for a very long time, and it is one, big-but-serious joke.

The only reason the case became known is that the communist party needed it for fundraising. With the ruble worthless the Russians couldn’t find CPUSA. A major fund raising strategy for the party was legal defense funds. Sacco Vanzetti trial raised a lot of money for the party.

Scottsboro boys fundraisers gave some money to the defense attorneys but kept most of it for the party. The party sent the weeping black mothers around the country to plead for the rapist animals. There were more mothers than boys on the fund raising circuit

Right now, they’re committed to attacks so vicious they amount to psychotic breaks and to bringing in foreign national allies, a tactic that has the the same basic problems as bringing in foreign troops has. One of the reasons the American Revolution was fought so bitterly is that the British government had imported German mercenaries (Hessians from Hess) in what the Americans thought should have been a disagreement between British subjects.

  205. What is Deadspin? Who is Jessica Valenti? None of these Leftist blogs or feminist screechers or race-hustling academics have much existence for me, because I never pay the slightest attention to any of it. I never even would have heard of TNC if I hadn’t heard about him here at Sailer’s, and I still haven’t read a damn word he’s ever written—because I don’t want to.

Yet it seems like whenever one of these people tweet or publish another of their idiotic messages, not only does Steve Sailer and a good portion of his commentariat seem to know all about it, but they reveal by the easy familiarity, wittiness, and sophistication of their comments that they follow this stuff assiduously, they’re used to it, and that these lights loom large in their mental universe for some reason.

Why? What is the point of this? You want to spend your life hanging on the words of Leftist idiots and then bitching about them on a blog—for what? I don’t think I could get along with someone for whom Jessica Valenti is a somebody, even a reviled somebody. She ought to be a nobody. How much feminist literature would you had to have read before you become familiar with the names and biographies of the personalities involved (as you very clearly are), as well as the intricacies of its ideological history? On the the Valenti post, someone was criticizing Valenti for saying that when she met her future husband, she was initially impressed by his knowledge of feminist ideas, while another poster responded “Yes, meanwhile her lady parts were as dry as a desert” or something to that effect. Yet you guys deliberately make yourselves just as familiar with this stuff, all the while believing that it makes women’s lady parts dry as a desert (which is strange), and then you have recourse to Heartiste and other fucktards of his persuasion to tell you how unmanly you are for doing so. This is a bizarre internal oscillation between fascination and self-chastisement that echoes honestly with the increasingly useless sentiments of Alt-Right autists; but it really doesn’t matter whether you fly at feminism with a yea or a nae if you occupy the same level as it.

To paraphrase St. Paul, why is it even named among you? I’ve seen only two proffered responses to this question. The first is to spout some crap about “knowing thine enemy,” which is stretching the definition of that bromide to absurdity. The second is to say something like, “That’s the blogging business,” meaning that the trick to being a successful blogger is to instantly react to any piece of nonsense that hits the airwaves, in which case it is a form of clowning around and should not really be the business of serious adults in the first place. Both of these are mere excuses. The fact of the matter is that you find this stuff fascinating. The feminists exert an appeal for you, they draw you into their orbit, and when you feel guilty about that you turn to Heartiste for an antidote.

This is NPC behavior. Rebuilding the patriarchy is really as simple as getting on with a normal life. Success would involve doing that instead of this.

Another Dad’s idea reminds me of “Who is John Galt” from Atlas Shrugged. Galt was a physicist-engineer-philosopher-inventor who got together a bunch of essential men, hid out in a Colorado valley, and “stopped the motor of the world.”

They went on strike until everything shut down. It was their way of fighting collectivism. I’m no fan of Ayn Rand (because I possess some of those human traits of empathy and compassion) but I read the book when I was eighteen and got the message.

There’s a good Hollywood anti-Communist movie (rare item) loosely based on the Scottsboro Boys case. It concentrates on the CPUSA exploitation of the case:
    https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2007/10/the_buried_legacy_of_hollywood_1.html

But the least known of the anticommunist cycle is possibly the best – Mark Robson’s Trial. Loosely based on the Scottsboro Boys case, Trial involves a Mexican boy accused of raping and murdering the daughter of a well-to-do family. A lynch mob forms, only to be seen off by the sneering sheriff. (“I never heard of a lynch town ever amounted to nothin’.”) Sniffing potential publicity, the Communist Party steps in, creating a national defense campaign that continues right up to the point where it’s convenient to cut the poor kid loose.

Glenn Ford plays a liberal lawyer of the “communists can be decent people too” school who gets put through the wringer. Dorothy McGuire is present to inspire bad thoughts in the minds of the male audience. But if you can wrench your attention from Dorothy (not an easy trick, granted) the revelation here is Arthur Kennedy, one of the film world’s truly great supporting actors. Here he plays a manipulative Party lawyer with exactly the right mix of superficial charm, coldness, and sheer malice.

No other film deals more effectively with Party techniques — somebody, Robson, the producer, or the screenwriter, must have once held a Party card. But what makes this film stand out is the way it depicts the human cost of the communist impulse. In reading memoirs of former communists, what comes across most clearly is the destruction it wrought on the human level — the wrecked marriages and friendships, the victims left to face suspicious authorities with no aid from their erstwhile “comrades”, the true believers who found themselves on the wrong side of some Party “line” and subject to absolute personal destruction. Trial reveals this aspect of communism more clearly than any film I know of. The scene where Ford discovers that McGuire has betrayed him on behalf of the Party she no longer particularly believes in has an impact hard to match.

What I mean is that until 1960 when the pill came on the market, there was no really reliable method of birth control. So more women became pregnant.

Before Roe vs Wade, the norm was for everyone even gays to be married and for women to marry young.

A woman who married at 22 and shares a bed with a husband has about 20 years to have children. A woman who married at 32 only has at the most 10 years left

By 1973 when Roe happened the IUD came out. That made 2 reliable methods of birth control.

Now there’s Norplant and tubal ligation

Therefore, with 4 very reliable methods of contraception, there are far fewer pregnancies and this abortions for White woman. Plus White teen age girls are having sex later and later despite the sex Ed teachers telling them to have sex at a young age.

The anti abortion men appear to be totally ignorant that birth control exists. They seem to have the fantasy that unmarried White women have sex without birth control 12 times a week and use abortion as birth control.

They are stupid and ignorant of birth contrail and sex. They should read a middle school sex Ed book or do something to educate themselves about human reproduction and the 4 reliable means of birth control

There was a recent comics series called Y: The Last Man, which explored the premise of what would happen to the world if all men (save one) were suddenly killed. While it’s filled with poz, I did like this little background bit from the beginning of volume 2 of the collection:

THE END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT

In the summer of 2002, a plague of unknown origin destroyed every last sperm, fetus, and fully developed mammal with a Y chromosome — with the apparent exception of one young man and his pet, a male Capuchin monkey.

This “gendercide” instantaneously exterminated 48% of the global population, or approximately 2.9 billion men. 495 of the Fortune 500 CEOs are now dead, as are 99% of the world’s landowners.
In the United States alone, more than 95% of all commercial pilots, truck drivers, and ship captains died… as did 92% of all violent felons. Internationally, 99% of all mechanics, electricians, and construction workers are now deceased… though 51% of the planet’s agricultural labor force is still alive.

14 nations, including Spain and Germany, have women soldiers who have served in ground combat units. None of the United States’ nearly 200,000 female troops have ever participated in ground combat. Australia, Norway, and Sweden are the only countries that have women serving on board submarines.

In Israel, all women between the ages of 18 and 26 have performed compulsory military service in the Israeli Defense Force for at least one year and nine months. Before the Plague, at least three Palestinian suicide bombers had been women.

Worldwide, 85% of all government representatives are now dead… as are 100% of Catholic priests, Muslim imams, and Orthodox Jewish rabbis.

This is why the Left had a fit over Charlottesville and Trump’s unwillingness to denounce the right. The Left has had a successful tactic for decades where they can force the “legitimate” right to keep trimming off their own right wing but as for them, there are “no enemies on the Left”. A bunch of high school boys “smirking” must be denounced by all good thinkers left and right but the Black Hebrew Israelites baiting them with homophobia – no problem – they are oppressed people and cannot be held accountable.

The messages on twitter and other outlets show that the duty of care towards private citizens has been discarded when it comes to white men. Galt’s Gulch is Pure Capitalism. It is like an open circuit to an RF source.

Communism, as defined by orthodox Marxist-Leninist teaching, is a short circuit.

Both exist only in theory-there are no perfect opens or shorts-but reality can and does approximate them to several orders and the results are the same. The signal goes nowhere.

Maximum energy transfer occurs when the source and load impedance are matched. For an economy to work at all, you have to be within some semblance of this state.

In a “communist” country, a Professor of Marxism would correct you if you stated that you were in a Communist country. No, they would say, you were in a Socialist country, Socialism being the temporary intermediate state between bourgeois Capitalism and the future state of Communism, when the organs of the state would wither away because the New Soviet man would not need them.

Likewise, an Objectivist would tell you that the United States and most Western European countries were semi-free nations. In her nonfiction works and in those of her designated heir and attack poodle Leonard Peikoff, Ayn Rand (real name Alice Rosenbaum) makes this clear.

This exactly parallels the Smith Chart, used by engineers to determine the behavior of RF circuits.

The Smith chart, invented by Phillip H. Smith (1905–1987),[1][2] is a graphical aid or nomogram designed for electrical and electronics engineers specializing in radio frequency (RF) engineering to assist in solving problems with transmission lines and matching circuits.[3] The Smith chart can be used to simultaneously display multiple parameters including impedances, admittances, reflection coefficients, S n n {\displaystyle S_{nn}\,} S_{{nn}}\, scattering parameters, noise figure circles, constant gain contours and regions for unconditional stability, including mechanical vibrations analysis.[4][5] The Smith chart is most frequently used at or within the unity radius region. However, the remainder is still mathematically relevant, being used, for example, in oscillator design and stability analysis.[6]

While the use of paper Smith charts for solving the complex mathematics involved in matching problems has been largely replaced by software based methods, the Smith chart display is still the preferred method of displaying how RF parameters behave at one or more frequencies, an alternative to using tabular information. Thus most RF circuit analysis software includes a Smith chart option for the display of results and all but the simplest impedance measuring instruments can display measured results on a Smith chart display.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smith_chart

Both Communism and Galt’s Gulch do not exist because human beings do not function in a way that would make them workable. Neither have ever existed and neither ever will. However, small-c communism did exist for decades and had exceedingly poor results, as witnessed by The Gulag Archipelago and tons of other accurate literature.

All communist countries and ONLY communist countries were ringed with walls, barbed wire, attack dogs and men with guns willing and able to shoot people who tried running the gauntlet. They were all prison nations.

Alice Rosenbaum never got her shot at Galt’s Gulch, but in the novel, everyone had to enter and leave through John Galt’s house, it was a sealed pit much like Shangri-La. It. too, was a prison nation, albeit one more like Dennis Ritchie describes in his famous Anti-Foreword to The Unix Haters Handbook.

Yes, he is. But I don’t need to hate him. Nietzsche makes a big deal about why it is generally wrong to hate your enemies, and I think he is right. The Indian guy’s repeated posturings are pathetic, even painfully so, and he is my objective enemy in current life, but in that particular video I don’t dislike him.

The more I hear about him, the more I find reasons to dislike him (for instance: https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2019/jan/22/nathan-phillips-tried-disrupt-basilica-national-sh/). But I don’t hate him. I see something human in him, even if it is getting horribly twisted. I see something human even in SJW’s. It is the traitors who go to the inner circle of Hell.

I thought George Zimmerman had a strong case against NBC for editing the 911 tape to make him it sound as if the primary reason he was suspicious of Trayvon Martin was that he was black, which was not true. However, his defamation suit was tossed out. That made me think it’s extremely difficult to win a case like this if the Narrative is against you. I would’ve said “impossible” but a Google search shows that there have been successful defamation suits against the media. For example, Melanie Trump successfully sued a media outlet that claimed she had worked as an escort.

No, Phillips goes out looking to provoke people. He’s done it before. Some essential reading for you:

Native American claims racial harassment by EMU students dressed as Indians

Wait, he’s from here in the HBD Mitten? The home of Joe Sobran?

An Ypsilanti man says he was trying to teach a few students dressed in American Indian theme party about respecting Native Americans.

    Even the Freep agrees: https://www.freep.com/story/news/local/michigan/2019/01/20/native-american-leader-nathan-phillips-recounts-incident-video/2630256002/

But according to his fakipedia he’s an Omaha WoopWoop not a Chippewa or Potawatomi? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nathan_Phillips_(activist)

That old boy’s gonna get himself scalped! And no casino $$$ for him either..

Maybe Tecumseh’s ghost will scoot north from Ohio and take care of this for us.

Pairing these two together sounds like great fun.

    Movie idea:

Weekend at Ginsburg’s; Newly minted left-wing icon Nathan Phillips, unable to make rent, is hired to house-sit for a deceased Ginsburg whose body is still in the house. No one knows she is deceased. As Phillips’ most marketable skills are lying and conning, Phillips is asked by the MSNBC inner sanctum to perpetuate the farce that Ginsburg is alive for as long as possible. Watch as Phillips fends off reporter after reporter who demand proof-of-life, including some who just won’t take no for an answer. A series of comedic hi-jinks reminiscent of Home Alone ensues.

The key to being a straight-from-central-casting Indian elder is to speak in a slow, ponderous fashion, as if every single word that comes out of your mouth carries great weight, and that though what you say may sound simple and obvious, listeners must accept that there is profound wisdom in it. Indian elders also must have long hair, preferably in a braid, and avoid smiling, except in a sad way.

The Kuleshov effect excellently demonstrates this phenomenon: exactly the same shot of Mosjoukine was deemed by audiences to be an expression of hunger, sorrow, or lust depending upon whether that shor of his face accompanied a shot of some soup, a corpse, or a woman.

Hitchcock once later repeated the exercise by interpersing shots of him straining to focus his gaze on something, then smiling. In the first case the image between those two expressions was a baby, making him seem a kindly old man; but replacing rhe baby with a woman in a bikini makes him seem lecherous.

The same psychological effects occur in reality; context is critical to gauging kinesics, vocalics, haptics, proxemics, and chronemics.

Laughter looks like crying with no sound.
