From The Atlantic, Conor Friedersdorf interviews a black woman who lives in Evanston, Illinois, where the white public school students have the highest test scores in the U.S. for whites and there is the third largest white-black test score gap, so the wokeness is especially intense:

‘The Narrative Is, “You Can’t Get Ahead”’
In Evanston, Illinois, a Black parent and school-board candidate takes on a curriculum meant to combat racism.

APRIL 3, 2021

Conor Friedersdorf
Staff writer at The Atlantic

… Ndona Mboyayi: One day my daughter told me she was taught that all white people are privileged and part of a system of white supremacy. My son said the same thing. So I reached out to my daughter’s teacher to find out what exactly was being taught. It was pretty much like she said: that all white people were part of this system of white supremacy, and that all white people, because of the color of their skin, had privilege. I said, “But that’s not true.” And the teacher said, “Well, what do you mean?”

I have traveled a lot. My father was a university professor and taught in both the United States and Paris, France. And when I visited, I saw white people in public housing. I’ve been to Belgium and Switzerland and seen very poor white people. I’ve visited other parts of Europe. I lived in Canada for 10 years. There are poor white people in Canada as well. I’m not saying systemic racism doesn’t exist, but class exists too, and I don’t believe that all white people have privilege. That white person who’s living in the Appalachian Mountains, who has no means or prospect of changing their situation—do they, too, have privilege? Compared to me and my kids?

I’ve spent a lot of time in Central Africa because my dad is from the Congo. And some of the propaganda that’s being spread right now here in Evanston is similar to some of the divisiveness that took place in Rwanda before the massacre. I’m not saying that is what’s going to happen here, but when you start labeling people in a negative manner based on their race or ethnic group, this leads to division and destruction, not finding common ground and positive solutions.

Is it racist to say that it is silly to worry about all the hate whitey rhetoric in the media these days because African-Americans aren’t capable of organizing something really bad?

  3. Holy crap. An article talking very seriously and convincingly about White genocide was published in the Atlantic. I searched for a comments section, but apparently not there, very unfortunately. I would have loved to have seen that one. This is huge, isn’t it?

  4. duncsbaby says:

At first before I read the article I thought this was gonna be a report on black enmity towards the great outdoors. That the cutting down of actual trees would be a good way of reaching equity w/whitey because they love their nature so much. (Soon, very soon.)

But when the Congolese arriviste started talking about Rwanda, I got the reference. I hate to say there’s no hope but when an African immigrant is the only one making the case that white privilege is a hateful myth, my hope quotient is pretty damn low.

Black men would thus… lash out in violent crimes against whites. Frightened whites would retaliate with a murderous rampage, and militant blacks would exploit it to provoke a war of near-extermination between racist whites and non-racist whites over the treatment of blacks. Then the militant blacks would arise to finish off the few whites who survived; in fact, they would kill off all non-blacks.

Traditionally blacks have not done the organizing. Starting with the NAACP, few black advocacy organizations have had more than a token few blacks involved until well into their history. Projects like Brown v. Board of Education were relatively black-free in their planning, financing, and execution.

To what extent is BLM a black organization? It could be that social media and crowd funding has allowed blacks to bypass their usual tribal allies to a certain extent in collecting money. But they would still need to plan and execute elaborate legal, lobbying, legislative, even terroristic activities with a long term future payoff. Good luck with that. I somehow think the money raised will … kind of … float off into the ether … never to be heard of … until years later when mutterings emerge from the FBI and the IRS and various prosecutors and grand juries.

  11. I’m not saying systemic racism doesn’t exist, but class exists too, and I don’t believe that all white people have privilege.

I know there is a move on the left and the right that sees racial conflict as a ruling class distraction tactic away from class conflict and that if poor whites and poor blacks could find common cause they can form a unified front against the elites.

But blacks are not a social class in the modern European-derived sense; blacks are at best just a half-millennia from the stone-age – who knows, without interaction with the European colonizers, Sub-Saharan Africans still might not have the wheel or the two-story building and certainly not parliamentary government – after colonialism they’ve tried every modern form of government from a constitutional republic to a Marxist dictatorship to a totalitarian theocracy and they always fail, because they do not in fact belong to the modern world. They ape the language of class but in the end their skin is their uniform and they manipulate modern institutions to extract resources for their tribe.

This African woman, in spite of her insights into the misdirection provided by the race conflict in Western countries, can take her black ass back to Africa, and take ALL her American co-blacks with her – we don’t need them here for ANYTHING, they are just an expensive nuisance to us, and work themselves through the civilizational phases that bring a people to modernity (or not, modernity has plenty of problems) – there is no common cause between poor white moderns and poor black savages.

  12. Nah, the blacks will only target BadWhites, not GoodWhites.

The Rwandan genocide happened to involve violence in its final stage, but the same basic policy and propaganda techniques are at work against white people, as this gentleman observes.

Non-whites who speak up about this are heroes and may be the key to our salvation. If left to the current white establishment (which despises white people), we’d be toast. Ironically, our elites presume that all non-whites are total savages with no compassion for others.

A Black Army Rises to Fight the Racist Right

A man calling himself Grandmaster Jay has raised a disciplined, heavily armed militia. It has yet to fire a shot at its enemies, but it’s prepared for war.

    https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2021/04/the-many-lives-of-grandmaster-jay/618408/

    Should we take this seriously?

Grandmaster Jay’s group, the NFAC, is a Black militia whose goals, other than to abjure Fucking Around, are obscure. It has a militarylike structure, fields an army of hundreds of heavily armed men and women, subscribes to esoteric racist doctrines, opposes Black Lives Matter, and follows a leader who thinks we live in a period of apocalyptic tribulation signaled by the movements of celestial bodies. Its modus operandi is to deploy a more fearsome Black militia wherever white militias dare to appear. Eventually, it intends to establish a racially pure country called the United Black Kemetic Nation. (“Kemet,” Jay explained, “is the original name of Egypt, which means ‘land of the Blacks.’”) A patch on Grandmaster Jay’s body armor bore the new nation’s initials, UBKN.

To demonstrate its power, Jay said, the NFAC aims to assemble, in one place, “a million legal [Black] gun owners,” to show that the United Black Kemetic Nation can defend itself. Part of the process of creating a new country (under a treaty known as the Montevideo Convention) is demonstrating that enough people are eager to live there permanently and can administer the new state. That includes defending it. Jay said, “If I assemble 1 million legal guns, I have the fifth-largest ground army on the planet. I think that’s a pretty significant indication … There are 57 million of us here. All I want is 1 [million].” (According to the Census Bureau, 47 million Americans identify as Black or Black and another race. Because of Jay’s patrilineal theory of race, he would presumably recognize a smaller number still.)

But at the end of the day this is not the kind of guy I worry about.

For both of you, how can a Constitutional Amendment be unConstitutional? When it’s being proposed one could say it is, but not after it’s been ratified. It is then, by definition, Constitutional.

Peak Stupidity has a series of posts discussing every one of the Amendments starting after the Bill of Right through 26 in our “Morning Constitutional” series. We spent a lot of time on XVI and XIX, two of the worst. The last one, for the 27th, will be this week. The general feeling we have gotten is that Peak Constitutional Amendment was attained at the end of the Bill of Rights, with #10.

  34. Hey, let’s at least give the Atlantic credit for publishing a paragraph or two that leans against the strong wind of its ideology. Somewhat on-topic: Nicholas Kristof in NYT today has op-ed piece about gun violence. Because I’ve become a knee-jerk Unz reader, I searched for “Black” and “white”. I am sorry to report to all Steve’s die-hard fans, but Kristof was exactly true to expectations: no hits on “Black” but a heartfelt examination of “white nationalism”. Life loses its salt when things get this predictable.

  35. Is it racist to say that it is silly to worry about all the hate whitey rhetoric in the media these days because African-Americans aren’t capable of organizing something really bad?

Who could this question answer with a cool “well maybe, but who cares as long as it is true”? (The mighty few at the very top of the societal power structure talking in the way Tome Wolfe once heard them talk quite clearly).

  36. Anonymous[132] • Disclaimer says:

Of all the strange fixations of white supremacists, their obsession with “white genocide” is perhaps the most delusional. First of all, neither Jews, Blacks, Arabs or any other tribe desires the elimination of the white race or will allow such a thing to happen. Whites, particularly the women, are too valuable a commodity. In fact, the weaker the white race becomes, the more available white women will become to other tribes, thus increasing the incentive for these other tribes to keep the supply of whites plentiful. White slavery is a real possibility within our lifetimes, white genocide not so much.

  37. @Achmed E. Newman

    Achmed E. Newman asked me:

how can a Constitutional Amendment be unConstitutional? When it’s being proposed one could say it is, but not after it’s been ratified. It is then, by definition, Constitutional.

No. Article V, which lays out the amending procedure, specifies two restriction. The first is now moot (importation of slaves cannot be forbidden before 1808).

The second restriction on amendments is:

Provided that… no State, without its Consent, shall be deprived of its equal Suffrage in the Senate.

An amendment in violation of this provision would not actually be an amendment, since it would violate the procedure for a valid amendment. It would have no more validity than if, say, CA and NY alone passed an amendment.

It has always struck me as an interesting question whether we could first amend Article V to remove this restriction and then be free of the restriction.

I think not: that would clearly defeat the purpose of the restriction and make it effectively null and void.

As you can see, I have been more than a bit geeky about such things since childhood!

Either way, such a conflict will be very messy and very violent if it’s ever allowed to expand past vandalism and arson from the blacks and they start letting them murder whites in pursuit of “justice”. Once it starts it won’t stop easily.

As I recall, the only amendment that would be unconstitutional would be one depriving the states of equal representation in the Senate.

Serious question: We’ve already amended other parts of the original text, most prominently the legislative selection of senators. Why would equal state representation in the senate be exempt? It would be self-detrimental for smaller states to vote for such an amendment, but it doesn’t mean it would automatically be unconstitutional.

Off the top of my head the other two examples of such formally amended changes the original text are selection of the Vice President, Inauguration Day, and the first date of the congressional session.

(all of the other amendments either bring up brand new ideas or clarify ambiguous parts, but just a couple actually CHANGE the original text)

Not trying to be disagreeable, just wondering the logic/source of your statement relative to changing other parts of the original text.

EDIT: Nevermind – found your original followup and you are correct.

The greatest push back against anti-white racism and anti-white conspiracy theories (“systemic racism”) is going to come from African Immigrants, because post-colonial Africa is where anti-white racism came to power first. The results, whether you look at the Zimbabwe economic miracle, the Rwandan genocide, or South Africa’s decision to let millions of HIV+ people die preventable deaths because hate-whitey, is a disaster.

In the same way, the greatest promoters of anti-white bilge are mostly middle age, white librarians living in all white communities. They believe these slogans and ideas have no connection to reality, and they expect their politicians to do nothing to implement them the same way they support single-payor health care and free college but never expect their politicians to do anything to enact them. The thing is, they might be right, its hard to see Biden and Harris raising up the machete in the name of social justice. It may all be hypocritical virtue signaling to try to shore up a mostly-white oligarchy that doesn’t want to acknowledge or deal with class, and simply wants to divide people.

Traditionally you had international socialism based on international solidarity of workers based on their common identity as workers and you had national socialism based on the solidarity of people based on their national/ethnic/racial identities. National socialism in its myriad manifestations has always been theatrical and performative, and I suspect that the immigrants are correct, the passions that racial hatred and racial conspiracy theories (central to all variants of national socialism) raise up often take a life of their own, beyond the control of “nice” white women with “good” intentions.

Most urban blue state Whites are already disarmed anyway. Often self-disarmed. What we usually see, as in Minneapolis, is that blacks are too disorganized and stupid to accomplish much more than burning down their own neighborhoods.

What we need to fear is the anti-White legal framework being implemented by Jews, Good Whites and Asians. We aren’t going to be destroyed by direct violence. If that ever happens, it will be because we have already lost. We are going to be destroyed by demographic replacement, economic burden and academic, legal and economic discrimination.

The current woke environment is unbelievably aggravating and there is going to be a lot of cultural damage as a result. However, I think in the long run the effect is going to be a permanent shift from our politics often revolving around the concerns of 13% of the population to one in which they are dead last.

The political and cultural power of blacks is entirely a product of their alliance with middle upper class whites and something of a relic of the time when Latinos and Asians were essentially an afterthought due to their relatively small share of the population. This is changing, though – the rising Latino and Asian populations just do not care about blacks they way whites do, and the decline of the white population over time means they percentage of the population willing to put black concerns front and center is getting smaller. Couple that with a lack of racial guilt, I don’t think it will be too long before it will be acceptable to openly question why policy in crime, education, etc., should be oriented around going easy on blacks when it comes at everyone else’s expense.

Now, the segment of whites who are driving our woke moment definitely punch above their weight culturally and economically and will drag things out, but the consequences of the politics they have been pushing will also lead to an increasing share of this segment quietly supporting a return to more sane policies especially if they can cover this as allyship with Latinos or Asians.

Robo-Starmer (who does everything he can to please everybody in power while in charge of a nominally “left” outfit) misstep detected:

Keir Starmer landed in hot water after visiting a London church of Nigerian origin to highlight Labour support for BAME rights. The pastor of Jesus House vocally opposed the UK’s ban on discrimination against gay people.

He called it a “wonderful example of a church serving its [predominantly black] community,” before bringing up the way Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) people suffer from Covid-19.

This is not the time to bring up HIV positivity because…

Pastor Agu Irukwu, the head of Jesus House London, was among the religious figures who opposed the passage of legislation in 2006 which outlawed discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation. He was a signatory of an open letter that accused the Labour government of Prime Minister Tony Blair of “discriminating against Christians in order to appease minority groups” and lamented that the proposed regulations would force churches “to accept and even promote the idea that homosexuality is equal to heterosexuality.” In 2013, the pastor signed a letter against the proposed legalisation of gay marriage, which was passed and replaced the institution of civil partnerships for same-sex couples in the UK.

    Bad optics.

With baggage like this, it’s no surprise that LGBT activists pounced on Starmer for his church trip. Whoever chose Jesus House despite the fallout from May’s visit there being relatively fresh in public memory got their share of criticism as well.

The iSteve colorblind CivNat understands genetic differences in ethnic groups but says that smart people who genetically share our values from any group can be assimilated into our culture.

The use of iron in Africa is closely connected to the Bantus. But when it came to use iron spears for elephant hunting, the Bantus wisely left the task to the otherwise despised Pygmies:

In the Ituri Forest the Pygmies use short lances with a very large and broad iron blade
about 30×20 cm mounted on a short (75 cm) and thick handle made of hardwood.
This weapon is razor sharp, and normally it belongs to a Bantu chieftain for whom the
Pygmies hunt under some sort of a contract.

The hunter sneaks underneath the standing elephant and thrusts the spear upward into its soft belly with a lightning-quick movement. This is a choice place because the short necked elephant can neither see under its belly nor reach there with its trunk. Of course,
the hunter seizes the first second during which the wounded beast is wondering what
has happened to him to jump aside. Sometimes they have time to give the handle a jerk
    thereby enlarging the wound.

Before approaching his quarry the Pygmy hunter goes to one of the shallow pools,
where the animals have their daily mud bath, and smears his entire body with mud, so
he cannot be smelled out by his quarry. He is absolutely naked when hunting.

The second is the growing presence of other racial groups (Asians, Subcons, Hispanics), which contribute to the first fact but, to the extent Whites aren’t fully subjugated, also serve as a counterweight to Whites.

A radically woke report titled ‘Birth to 5 Matters’ says British toddlers need to be taught anti-racism, not just equality, pushing a divisive critical race agenda and the recently rejected notion of institutional racism.

The release of the report by the Early Years Coalition tells us all we need to know about the radical leftist agenda that is currently attempting to seize the debate on race in the UK. The woefully woke work from the coalition, which represents 16 early years organisations across the UK covering tens of thousands of children, offered its own take on how to teach at nurseries in its ‘Birth to 5 Matters’ document, flagged as “guidance by the sector for the sector” – an important note, as none of this is the idea of the government; it’s just their unsolicited view.

As you would expect, any document emanating from the education sector these days has to prove its credentials by declaring adherence to current woke orthodoxy. And that means training nursery staff in controversial critical race theory so they can identify mini-racists among their nought-to-five-year-old charges and put them on the path to (self-)righteousness before it’s too late.

“Encouraging dialogue and conversation about difference can evoke children’s strong sense of fairness and break down false assumptions about everyone being able to succeed on their merits, so that children recognise racist behaviours and develop antiracist views.”

The Haitian government was financially crippled for many many decades by being forced to pay reparations to the government of France , and by the general lack of support from other European nations.

Imagine if the revolutionary American state had been forced to pay reparations to Britain for 200 years!

The funny thing was that the Haitian revolutionaries fully supported the aims of the concurrent French revolution in instituting equality, freedom, and brotherhood, not to mention the pursuit of happiness.

At the same time that the Haitians were waging war against the plantation owners, the French were guillotining their own landowners in the reign of terror.

Plus ca change, plus c’est la meme chose.

Back on topic, I’m not sure what this article means in a meta sense. The Atlantic has been varying degrees of Wokie for at least 5 years, so it’s passing strange for them to notice anything bad about current journo-lism. I mean, what if Teh Genius Coates were to have someone read this to him, how upset would he be? Yet there it is, an article standing at the top of a virtual escalator…

Is it a tiny moment of rationality from Wokels, or is it some subversion in the Matrix? I cannot even guess, but like others in this thread I’m surprised and a bit sad that it takes an African woman to state the obvious in a way even the Atlantic can understand.

The political and cultural power of blacks is entirely a product of their alliance with middle upper class whites and something of a relic of the time when Latinos and Asians were essentially an afterthought due to their relatively small share of the population.

    Excellent comment Arclight.

More directly put, blacks have been the cudgel Jews used to beat whites into submission. Specifically to propagandize minoritarianism, delegitimize republican government and white self-rule, impose elite diktat and make minoritarianism legally and culturally normative.

The propaganda has been so effective that lots of good whites–including many Christians, but especially post-Christians needing a religion–define “virtue” primarily in terms of thinking good thoughts about treating blacks well. It dovetails nicely with the natural high “neighborliness” of settled-agriculture white Western-Euro Christians and with Christian teaching. (Really was some Jewish propaganda genius.)

But–you’re spot on–this “the poor darkie is still oppressed!” vibe has zero salience with pretty much any immigrant coming in here. They look at America and more or less think “blacks are lucky to be in America and yet a huge pain in the ass”. Regardless of how much anti-racists b.s. they’ll parrot to shake down whitey, they simply have no belief that blacks are a sacred cow.

This is one reason i have hope that America will only slump toward Brazil but we won’t actually go down the path of complete annihilation by downloading the African surplus. The growing immigrant Latino/Asian groups may want more or their people … but they have no interest in importing blacks and wrecking the joint they just got to. Only the Jews have significant percentages with that level of immigration sociopathy.

Who is/was behind the NAACP and Brown vs Board of Education etc? What’s their motivation

Such a mystery! If only someone had written down the history of the NAACP at the time of its founding, and if only those words had been copied on a piece of paper, and if only those words on paper had been transferred into bytes on a disk drive, and if only that image had been published on a web site, and if only your tablet / phone / laptop / desktop had a functional keypad, and if only there was some sort of way to search the world wide web using keywords like “NAACP” and “founders” – if only all that was true, you might be able to answer your own question.

This is the black militia that marched on Stone Mountain in Georgia and then camped for awhile nearby, hoping to provoke a reaction from armed whites, without success.

The vid from Stone Mountain was pretty enlightening. A lot of posing, not much competence. The guys with the pistol-grip shotguns and no extra ammo were especially fun to look at. Some managed to keep their finger off of the trigger, but…others did not. I assume a lot of those guns to be unloaded, just for showing off – exactly like the National Guard in DC. Or the odd little “boogaloo boyz” who showed up at a few actual protest events last summer, for that matter.

    Great news from West Virginia:

School choice advocates are praising West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice for enacting the “most expansive education savings account policy” in the country after he signed a bill into law giving parents money to help pay for private or homeschool education if they opt to take their children out of public school.

Justice signed House Bill 2013 into law Saturday. The bill established the Hope Scholarship Program, which will “provide the option for a parent to better meet the individual education needs of his or her child.” Under the Hope Scholarship Program, which will go into effect on July 1, 2022, eligible recipients can receive funding that is “equal to 100 percent of the prior year’s statewide average net share aid allotted per pupil based on net enrollment adjusted for state purposes.”

According to the Charleston Gazette-Mail, House Bill 2013 will enable “families who withdraw their children from public schools” to “receive a currently-estimated $4,600 per-student, per-year (scholarship) for private- and home-schooling expenses.” The publication reported that “Parents could use the vouchers for a nearly unlimited list of educational expenses, including online education programs, tutoring, books and private schooling, whether religious or secular.”

I would say pretty much all the commenters here are relatively high IQ. And in complete denial about reality, this is how the Holocaust happened. High IQ Jews were not willing to accept that Hitler meant what he said, planned their murders, and would do everything he could to kill them if they were anywhere near their grasp.

The Holocaust was baked into the cake of Nazism. Other than killing Jews, there was not much else in Nazism. Nazis believed fervently that their massive slave empire nirvana could only be created by mass murder of Jews. So they did it.

The woke, and indeed Civil Rights, can only be constructed through the mass murder, the extermination, of Whites. Much like there was a straight line from Social Darwinism to the Holocaust, there is a straight line from Civil Rights and Martin Luther King to genocide of White people. Not the least of which is that the Managerial Class:

    A. Worships blacks as substitute Jesus/God.
    B. LARPs as non-Whites.
    C. HATE HATE HATES Dirt People Whites (see Fatty Williamson at NRO).
    D. Are mostly depraved, sadistic individuals who are well, depraved with an unhealthy appetite for cruelty and sadism and child-rape and everything else.

So yes, the boxcars are not yet running. There is not a man of iron (or “Steel”) will to commit mass murder yet. No Mao, Pol Pot, Stalin, Hitler yet is on the scene. Not even a Jim Jones or Abimael Guzman. Intent on creating nirvana by mass murder. But one will come. Comes the hour, comes the man.

No Woke person, and to be honest black person in the main, can stand your existence as a White man. By existing you are their enemy as surely as some Jewish accountant in Poland in 1936. They hate you and want you dead. High IQ people tend to abjure warrior sentiments and values, as being self-defeating (which they can be if never turned off). But this attitude tends to ignore flashing danger signals, a lack of “street sense” or situational awareness that is deadly. Had Jews been realistic in 1933 they would have left Germany and the Continent for anywhere. Anywhere not in Hitler’s grasp would have been wiser. Those that could not leave should have resigned themselves to their fates and sought out arms and training to sell their lives dearly.

There is no future for White people in America. NONE. Genocide is coming, sooner rather than later. I could see Harris running it, or Buttgig, or Warren, and definitely Farrakhan.

Of course, there will be other actors. Russia, certainly can see itself now as I knew it would as the White person protector. There is much to be made there. China will certainly take advantage as will Russia of US possessions. So too Mexico, and other nations. It will certainly spread, the same dynamic with Islam added is present in France and the UK and most other European countries.

I also think a non-trivial percentage of Latinos will basically go the way of Italians a century ago – a group that is initially visibly different in appearance, culture, etc. from the majority but which over time is basically indistinguishable from everyone else in terms of cultural preferences and so on, and the saliency of ethnic solidarity will decline a lot.

Not as sure about Asians, but amongst my Asian friends (Indian, Korean, Taiwanese Filipino), the Indians seem most likely to hang onto some of their parent culture and marry within their group, although definitely not exclusively. None of my friends of the latter three groups married to co-ethnics.

Re this Atlantic article on this self described black militia group.

Like all such proclaimed militias, it is heavily infiltrated if not controlled by law enforcement at several levels.

It isn’t hard to create “uniforms” and march around with some legal long guns, calling yourself “Colonel” or whatever. Blacks get a lot of marching practice in band or cheerleading.

Inflated boasts of future events is a common element in rightwing militias also. Vague plans of future separate “nations” or regions is also a rightwing trope, as well as a Nation of Islam theme, along with other tiny black groups.

These black only racist outfits do afford support for Second Amendment rights. The Woke Left (whites of course) find that hard to digest.

Groups like this one often exist to finance the inner “cadre” with dues and donations so as to avoid actual employment. This is a common element of extremist groups everywhere. Though he had a law degree, Lenin never actually practiced law for payment, instead relying on rich family and donations. Hitler’s painting career also failed. Donations sufficed.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Rorke%27s_Drift
    ………………..
As dawn broke, the British could see that the Zulus were gone; all that remained were the dead and severely wounded. Patrols were dispatched to scout the battlefield, recover rifles, and look for survivors, many of whom were killed when found. At roughly 7:00 am, an impi of Zulus suddenly appeared, and the British manned their positions again.

No attack materialised, however, as the Zulus had been on the move for six days prior to the battle and had not eaten properly for two. In their ranks were hundreds of wounded, and they were several days’ march from any supplies. Soon after their appearance, the Zulus left the way they had come.
    …………………………………….

After the battle 351 Zulu bodies were counted, but it has been estimated that at least 500 wounded and captured Zulus might have been massacred as well. Having witnessed the carnage at Isandlwana, the members of Chelmsford’s relief force had no mercy for the captured, wounded Zulus they came across, nor did the station’s defenders. Trooper William James Clarke of the Natal Mounted Police described in his diary that “altogether we buried 375 Zulus and some wounded were thrown into the grave. Seeing the manner in which our wounded had been mutilated after being dragged from the hospital … we were very bitter and did not spare wounded Zulus”. Laband, in his book The Zulu Response to the British Invasion of 1879, accepts the estimate of 600 that Shepstone had from the Zulus.

Samuel Pitt, who served as a private in B Company during the battle, told The Western Mail in 1914 that the official enemy death toll was too low: “We reckon we had accounted for 875, but the books will tell you 400 or 500”. Lieutenant Horace Smith-Dorrien, a member of Chelmsford’s staff, wrote that the day after the battle an improvised gallows was used “for hanging Zulus who were supposed to have behaved treacherously”.

This is changing, though – the rising Latino and Asian populations just do not care about blacks they way whites do, and the decline of the white population over time means they percentage of the population willing to put black concerns front and center is getting smaller

White attitudes may also change over time. Will the generation raised on BLM propaganda and DIE sermons unquestioningly believe it or will they get sick of it and vomit it back up? My high school aged son and his friends have had BLM/DIE ideology preached to them in school relentlessly and they are sick of it. The word “nigger” is making a come back – it is the new “F” word, sternly forbidden and therefore fun to say. Kids today say it far more than we did when I was growing up.
Two big factors that will determine if whites remain Good Whites:
    1. Money. They will only be Good Whites as long as they have money to live in gated neighborhoods. If they get shoved into poverty by an economic collapse they will be Good Whites no more.
    2. Elite control. The elites can still impose Good White thinking in the white population via punishment, just as the soviet union enforced ideological conformity.

FWIW, my people are Catholics, Americans, and scientists, depending on the context. I’m way less concerned with race than those things.

With respect, your answer is that you don’t have a people. Anyone can be a Catholic. These days most anyone can be an American. I’d argue that if you’re choosing a people at all, it’s scientists, which most definitely has a requirement.

You seem to agree with my point that a lot of folks around here seem to have choosen smart people as their people. But is a shared high-IQ the same as a people? I kind of have my doubts. Seems more like a club than a people.

And I’ve internalized an older American norm that who you are as an individual is a lot more important than what group you belong to.

That norm existed when the country was 90% white and very openly accepted that its culture and values were Anglo-Saxon. It’s only in an ethnically homogeneous society that you can ignore race and focus on an individual. In a multi-racial society where tribes compete for dominance – as has always happened in history – race must be considered first, just as in war, I see the soldier wearing a different uniform as a member of any army and not as an individual.

Also, how do you deal with the fact that most ethnic/racial groups, even their scientists, do feel an allegiance to their people. How can a group (whites) that refuses to acknowledge race compete with groups that are ethno-centric?

Indeed, one huge complaint I have with wokeness is exactly that it seems so bent on getting everyone to make race the most important thing about everyone.

But in multi-racial societies, race cannot be ignored or your race will lose. Nature’s a cruel bitch.

For now though, it’s enough to just get whites to root for their own general team. We can break that down further in time.

My main point is so many around here refuse to see whites (in any form) as their people. It’s amazing. Just who do they think their people are? Other faculty members? Other pundits?

How do they think we can stop the anti-white pogrom that’s exploding around us? By not banding together?

As Steve himself so eloquently wrote: A race is an extended family. You don’t replace family with casual relationships. Other races understand this. They understand that family comes first, that family should come first.

The crowd around here seems enamored by IQ. So long as someone is smart, we’re on the same team. They abandon their people to be a part of a temporary club. They willfully ignore that the world is tribal.

It’s silly to say that it is silly to worry about all the hate whitey rhetoric in the media these days. Whether or not African-Americans are capable of organizing something really bad, the media is. All the hate whitey rhetoric in the media these days is the bigger problem itself which feeds & informally organizes random acts of badness by African-Americans & white radicals & seeks with growing success to enable it. It’s unlikely Blacks would try it on their own without the media smiling on them.

He touched on a nerve with iSteve readers. They are HBD aware and understand average genetic differences among various racial and ethnic groups. They’re also very aware that whites such as themselves are being discriminated against.

But they hate the idea of whites viewing themselves as a people and fighting back as a people. Indeed, they don’t like identity politics in general. They don’t believe that people should pick a team. We should only see ourselves and others as individuals, even as we understand that individuals and groups can differ in various capabilities.

That this is a sad way to live (what is race but an extended family and who wants to live without family) doesn’t seem to bother them. Also, that other racial/ethnic groups do view themselves as a people and work to promote that people and thus will wipe our people out if we don’t fight back as a group is something a large portion of iSteve readers willfully ignore.

For some reasons, many iSteve readers abhor ethnocentrism. They refuse to root for their own team, to even acknowledge their team, even as other teams beat us down. I think that this bothers them, so they don’t like to be reminded of it.

Next, thing you know, you’re going to say that you don’t care about the sainted Thomas Sowell, every colorblind CivNat’s black best friend.

I think Thomas Sowell would be a great asset as a political philosopher in a faraway all-black African nation, or maybe he would have been 50 years ago – why should we scrape the cream off the top of the black population? – that’s part of the reason Africa will never get it together – the Western nations keep stealing their best. Dr. Sowell has nothing to offer to America intellectually that we didn’t already have.

The colorblind CivNat believes that anyone who accepts American values and institutions can be, well, an American.

That universalist fantasy was possible as long as America was 95% White, mostly from Northwestern Europe, and the remainder was strictly controlled and exerted little to no influence on state decisions.

    And women didn’t vote.

I think almost any type of state rule can be successful if the people running it are North European-descended Whites or East Asians. Both of those groups have established almost every known political structure, many that we would presently find unacceptable, and they had great successes over long periods of time.

Blacks will never make any modern political system work anywhere.

We don’t need them for ANYTHING – they are a net drag on our economic future, our culture and our social trust. I don’t even care who may be (((manipulating))) them from behind the scenes – if they weren’t here, or if they were swiftly and brutally punished for attacking the innocent, they couldn’t be used as walking bioweapons. They don’t belong here in a modern country – they belong in the stone-age (or perhaps the Iron Age?).

There are never going to be enough Thomas Sowells to make up for the losses…

Newton’s parents live in London now and their proudest moment is their daughter’s OBE – her mother never misses an opportunity to watch the royals on TV (“She’s got more national pride than I have”). Newton, though, posits herself as a Londoner as opposed to British, and remembers a British newspaper pointing out when she won the BAFTA that she was not really British because one of her parents was Black. “I remember thinking, ‘But it’s a British win! Why don’t you wanna take that? Why would you not wanna dig that and embrace it and feel really good?’” She is pained by the same old period dramas and lack of diversity that have traditionally sent British actors of colour seeking opportunity and visibility across the Atlantic.

“The thing I’m most grateful for in our business right now is being in the company of others who truly see me. And to not be complicit in the objectification of Black people as ‘others’, which is what happens when you’re the only one.” All her future films will be credited with Thandiwe Newton, after the W was carelessly missed out from her first credit. Now she’s in control. Many lives lived and she’s come out triumphant, preserved in the magic of the mist and sun that made her, and wanted her to shine. “That’s my name. It’s always been my name. they estimate (as of Feb) that 37k children lost at least 1 parent due to Covid, and 43k if excess deaths are used instead of official count.

This is a broad breakdown of fatalities by age:

    https://www.statista.com/statistics/1191568/reported-deaths-from-covid-by-age-us/

~20k btwn 30-50, and another 77k btwn 50-64. (with the latter bracket naturally top heavy).

Intelligence as a trait tends to lead to :
    Atheism or agnosticism
Fewer offspring, typically well under replacement level
High trust in the motives of others
A tendency to judge individuals rather than groups
Interest in abstraction and theory over practical value

So in other words high intelligence populations tend to exhibit behaviors that discourage the continuance of those populations.

    https://www.eastbaytimes.com/2021/04/05/video-shows-danville-officer-fatally-shoot-man-at-short-distance-civil-attorney-calls-it-cold-murder/

What jolts me the most is that the Bay Area homeless problem has made it out to Danville, one of a string of affluent suburbs in the outer East Bay in the shadow of Mt. Diablo along the I-680 corridor, 22 miles east of Oakland.

    ——

DANVILLE — Video released by a local civil rights attorney shows a Contra Costa Sheriff’s deputy shooting and killing a homeless man from a distance of a few feet, less than 2½ years after the same deputy shot and killed another man in Danville.

The video — shot by an eyewitness to the March 11 incident from about a half-block away — shows Deputy Andrew Hall fatally shooting 32-year-old Tyrell Wilson. The camera briefly moves behind a car door moments before the fatal shot is fired, but video shows Wilson taking a step back from Hall and the deputy stepping toward him shortly before the shot.

The sheriff’s office said in a news release following the shooting that Wilson pulled out a folding knife when confronted by the deputy, who suspected Wilson of throwing rocks at cars. Well-known Bay Area civil attorney John Burris, who is representing Wilson’s family, called it a “cold murder.”

“Wilson never had a chance,” Burris said in a news release, adding that he sent a letter to Contra Costa District Attorney Diana Becton asking Hall to be charged criminally. Burris said 25 minutes went by before anyone attempted to render medical aid to the wounded Wilson.

Burris also contested the allegation that Wilson was throwing rocks at cars, saying Wilson was walking to the homeless encampment where he was known to stay.

A spokesman for the sheriff’s office did not immediately respond to requests for comment. An attorney with the law firm that represents Hall told a reporter to call back during normal business hours.

For Hall, the fatal shooting was the second time he’s gunned down a man in Danville under controversial circumstances. In November 2018, Hall shot and killed 33-year-old Laudemer Arboleda during a daytime slow-speed police chase in Danville.

In that incident, video shows Hall stopping his car, exiting, and running around the other side to come face-to-face with a sedan driven by Arboleda. Hall then backpedals, firing his pistol as he does so, then continues to shoot as the car travels past him. He later testified at an inquest hearing he was afraid Arboleda would run him over. An internal probe by the sheriff’s office cleared Hall, but the District Attorney is still investigating the matter.

Hall was placed on paid leave after shooting Wilson, a sheriff’s spokesman said at the time.

Burris is representing Arboleda’s family in an active federal suit and says he plans to sue on behalf of Wilson’s family. He is planning a Tuesday news conference to announce the Wilson suit.

“That shooting was so outrageous that we wrote a letter to the Contra Costa District Attorney asking them to criminally prosecuted Hall,” Burris said in the news release. “They didn’t and now he has killed another innocent man. Enough is enough. This officer is a menace.”

Second, this noticing of White genocide in the Atlantic is, of course, not a huge deal because those who do not want to see it simply will refuse to see it.

Anyway, for the sake of completeness, here it is. I’ll preemptively note that refraining from stating that something will happen is not either logically or rhetorically the same as stating that it will not happen. In fact, especially when it comes to such an uncomfortable subject, quite the opposite.

That’s interesting. I’ve felt for awhile that it was Christian morality that rendered whites defenseless against certain other groups. A different sense of right and wrong–or any sense of right and wrong–might be a handicap. Maybe the culture that evolved out of a missionary mindset is part of the problem: “With a lower-case ‘c,’ catholic means ‘universal’ and ‘inclusive.’ If you listen to anything from hip-hop to Baroque, you have catholic taste in music.”

We owe Steve a great deal of thanks – and support. (It might surprise you that I send him money every month.)

That said, Steve does seems to have reached the end of the line with our cause. He seems to be in his heart a colorblind (if HBD-aware) CivNat. That this philosophy is leading to the destruction of what should be his people and the West doesn’t appear to cross his mind. He seems to believe that if only everyone would follow his prudent but (sort of) non-ethnocentric policy prescriptions, we’d be fine.

The fact that every other group is tribal and thus will never follow his prescriptions out of tribal concerns is where Steve gives up. He doesn’t want to choose a people. He apparently finds that personally abhorrent, so he retreats into making fun of them even as they destroy his world.

Steve has been brilliant in the past. The Sailer Strategy was genius. I just wish he’d come up with a Sailer Strategy for whites. Alas, he doesn’t feel the need.

No: “my people” are those citizens of the United States, of whatever race, who are honest and productive and committed to preserving the American Republic.

The moment someone says his nation whoever agrees with him today, he’s without a real nation. Being part of a nation, or what you would derisively call a “tribe”, allows you to have different religions, political views, etc. and still stay a country.

    You know, intellectual diversity.

It’s one or the other. As you’ve just proven, the moment you say RACE is no longer the basis of your nation, but rather your transient opinions, you are pretty much outlawing free speech. Because any differing opinion means that person is disloyal to your ideas-of-the-moment. And that leads to hunting down heretics.

It’s one or the other: loyalty to your race/tribe or loyalty to the proposition-of-the-moment.

The progressive society also parallels 1984’s Oceania, with all Euros (ie Whites) having been forcibly inducted into the Party as either Inner or Outer members., and non-Whites being the proles, who while allowed a certain freedom, are also seen as animals.

    ‘Proles and Animals are Free’

‘There was a vast amount of criminality in London, a whole world-within-a-world of thieves, bandits, prostitutes, drug-peddlers, and racketeers of every description; but since it all happened among the proles themselves, it was of no importance. In all questions of morals they were allowed to follow their ancestral code.’

‘The sexual puritanism of the Party was not imposed upon them. Promiscuity went unpunished, divorce was permitted. I agree that Thomas Sowell is a very bright guy. I’d also love to have him as a visiting fellow in my mythical white homeland. But he would have to go home, to his home and to leave my home.

Love of your own people isn’t hatred of other peoples or individuals. Indeed, the only way that I can look at Sowell as an individual and not the member of a group is when I know my group is safe and this group won’t invade/harm/breed out my group. Once the group boundaries are set and safe, we can become individuals.

That so few around here understand that is stunning. iSteve commenters are generally very bright people. That are not missing these points out of lack of IQ. They simply refuse to accept reality because they live in a bubble and like to believe pretty things.

Bingo. The colorblind CivNats around here are like trust fund kids. They have no understanding or respect for what created the fortune that allows them to live in their fantasy world.

I think almost any type of state rule can be successful if the people running it are North European-descended Whites or East Asians. Both of those groups have established almost every known political structure, many that we would presently find unacceptable, and they had great successes over long periods of time.

Quite true. My love of my own people certainly doesn’t mean that I can’t respect the accomplishments of other peoples.

Before there was Portland, before there was Minneapolis, there was Jonestown. This was a latter 1970’s early woke autonomous zone which accordingly was blackcentric, police phobic, fake hate crime plagued, equity seeking, and Euro progressive led.

The few who managed to escape Jonestown (called ‘defectors’) referred to the place as ‘a giant Communist prison camp’.

Its occupants were led to commit mass suicide in November 1978.

Below are some of the last words from Jonestown which were excerpted from Annie Moores suicide note.

    Take heed, world!

‘we are all the same – human beings.’

‘His [Jones] hatred of racism, sexism, elitism, and mainly classism, is what prompted him to make a new world for the people — a paradise in the jungle. The children loved it. So did everyone else.’

‘There were no ugly, mean police waiting to beat our heads in, no more racist stares from whites and others who thought they were better. No one was made fun of for their appearance — something each one had no control over.’

‘Meanness and making fun were not allowed. Maybe this is why all the lies were started – besides the fact that no one was allowed to live higher than anyone else. The United States allows classism, the problem being this and not all the side tracks of black power, woman power, Indian power, gay power.’

‘Jim Jones showed us all this — that we could live together with our differences, that we are all the same – human beings. Luckily, we were more fortunate than the starving babies of Ethiopia and the starving babies in the United States.’

But the definition of words can change. Equality used to mean one thing in your American Republic; it now means something very different. Freedom now means freedom from system racism and white privilege. I doubt that’s what you belief that that’s now what the word means to the society at large.

Chobani factory imported Muslim Africans because in the entire north west section of America they just couldn’t find any Americans capable of turning valves on and off in a yogurt factory. The Muslim Africans were given section 8 vouchers and moved into Twin Falls and suburbs.

Well, sure nuff the African brats behaved like the animals they are. 3 little Africans ages 5 to 8 grabbed a White American girl age 5 dragged her into a laundry room of the row house complex and did their best to rape her. They did succeed in beating her, peeing on her. and sexually assaulting her with their animal paws. Another tenant came in to do her laundry and stopped the attack. Because of their age and cultural incompetency nothing happened.

Chobani got a humungous federal school lunch grant out of that factory. Or why Michelle spouted off about school lunches.

And if any of you women hating misogynist Men of UNZ blame the girl, claim she was a slut old enough to consent , or her father who was at work, or her mother who didn’t realize playing on the front steps of the little townhouse wasn’t safe any more because of the Muslim orc invasion, spout off your usual porn perversions I will find and punish you.

Thomas Sowell explains that diversity is fertile ground for demagogues to sow division in countries all over the world.

One of the things I’ve noticed is that in many countries around the world, people of different races can get along together, sometimes even living as neighbors for decades or even generations. And yet when the right demagogue comes along, he can turn them against each other and they can be at each other’s throats. And this has happened in india. It’s happened in sri lanka. It’s happened in nigeria. Run through the whole list of countries.

One of the tragedies is we have organized groups in the united states trying to balkanize the united states, to create in the united states the enormous handicaps under which india is laboring under, which many parts of sub-saharan africa are laboring due to all kinds of historical and geographical reasons.

And now the united states having escaped all that, having been blessed with having one language and culture over a distance that in Europe would go from Madrid to Moscow – having had that blessing, we’re now going to pour that down the drain and we’re going to go for balkanization – not being aware apparently of what has happened in the history of the Balkans or aware of what happens when we have people who speak different languages and have radically different beliefs trying to be in the same society.

Wanna run to the country or rust belt and sacrifice city life to be around whites?

I was born and raised in a very large city in third-world Brazil, so I can’t speak for cities in the United States, but I no longer see moving out as a “sacrifice” in even the most figurative sense. First, you are either able to move out of the city (you have the money to do so) or you aren’t because you need to work 9-to-5 in some office or restaurant there. It’s not quite a choice, one’s limited to what one can do.

Second, life is better elsewhere. I think the pandemic makes Sailer’s argument that elites want blacks to move out of “prime real estate” in the inner city (if I understood it correctly) rather obsolete. I’m not from the elite, so I don’t know how they really think, but will they really want to pack themselves tight in a gentrified former ghetto, even without blacks or latinos around, and be subject to pandemics possibly worse than this one? I’d rather start low-density wealthy gated bubble towns from scratch in the countryside.

It allowed any Muslim man to legally divorce his wife by uttering the word talaq (the Arabic word for “divorce”) three times in oral, written or, more recently, electronic form.

Your beliefs are quite obviously destroying the American Republic, but that was never a concern of yours anyway.

Okay, but do you yourself have the balls to strip an old black man in Tennessee of his Social Security check and give it to some gaúcho branco just arrived from Brazil?

“Your beliefs are quite obviously destroying the American Republic, but that was never a concern of yours anyway:”

To the contrary, PhysicistDave is exercising his liberty to freely decide who are his people. There is no destruction taking place. Rather, it is a solidification of those individuals who are likeminded as him. Again, you personally disagree with his choices as to who he is willing to associate with and who he believes is on his side. Is that not freedom of association in action? OR, must he strictly abide by YOUR version of freedom of association, lest he be called “snobbish” or “selfish” or (gasp) a “race traitor”?

“A people – a race – are an extended family.”

A people can also be of different races and ethnicities.

“We were a people – European genetically similar enough to live by Anglo-Saxon history and culture. But that’s gone now.:

The WASPs would have made that point when “their nation” got inundated by Eastern/Southern Europeans in the late 1800’s/early 1900’s. You make it seem that there was this “white unity” or “European alliance” in the States. History, as I have well documented before on this fine opinion webzine, shows differently.

Of course, the Founding Fathers discussed the concept of posterity–future generations decide who is part of U.S. It’s who we are!

“NE Asians…though their curiosity is suspect”

    According to Who/Whom?

“Look, you’re a selfish snob who has half-Asian kids.”

So does John Derbyshire. Is he a “selfish snob”? OR, is he merely demonstrating freedom of association, which you have indicated is of paramount importance?

“That’s fine. I’m sure your kids are delightful – assuming they didn’t pick up your condescension.”

    Now THAT’s projection!

“As always, the simple question of “Who are your people” answers so many others.”

My people is who I prefer to be around with, which may be different than you.

“Your people are you (“you” are very important to you) and your kids”.

Along with his co-workers, and neighbors, and other individuals who are like-minded. Race or ethnicity need not be the “exclusive” or “ultimate” factors.

“The problem is that world doesn’t work that way, and you’re too self-centered to notice.”

Actually, the world does work that way, you’re just too stubborn and proud to admit it.

In English English, from Ingerland, the phrase of art is “flogging the jolly old blackfarty dago rollingham around the Queen’s bye-ways”.
Which I suppose she appreciates, in her reserved and gracious way.

Okay, but do you yourself have the balls to strip an old black man in Tennessee of his Social Security check

Absolutely. It should go to the innumerable keeds he ran out on decades ago. He can beg them for charity.

I’ve noticed also that media that either disallow comments or close them suspiciously fast become woke more rapidly. The Atlantic has gone nutso since it stopped comments. The comments kept the writers in touch with reality regardless of how much they may have disagreed with it. Now the writers are all off in their bubbles.

    It’s just like writing “G-d”.
