In NYC an assassin (They don’t seem to specify the race of the assassin but it’s amusing to think the target might have had an 9/11 airport security moment and thought, nah, he must just be a black Hassid) dressed up as a Hassid to ambush his target recently.

And in NYC again, an all-black traffic cop team remind me heavily of the kind of stuff you see in South Africa from the SAPs.

And just recently a security guard at the Manhattan class cube Apple Store got stabbed after a mask dispute, must have been a MAGA hat wearing Iowan.

Is it me or is it getting crazy out there?

  7. Hey Matt Dornic, quit worrying, it’s just mutual combat.

  8. Unacceptable! NY Post columnist Michael Goodwin was just riffing on how DeBlasio calls every high-profile crime “unacceptable” — but then just does nothing and accepts it. It’s very odd that the camera just happened to be in the right position with the right exposure (at night) to capture good video of this. It’s so bright out there that it looks like they’ve set up strong professional studio flood lights to illuminate the scene beforehand. It’s astonishingly bright for a ‘random’ night video scene. What’s more, your average black gang member takes aim at other gang members, not some random white TV news guy walking down the street.

How do we know this is real? CNN has been having massive ratings drops ever since Biden became president. I wouldn’t be surprised if CNN is faking this video so they have something to broadcast.

    @Harry Baldwin

    Not very professional.

The killer was caught on video extensively. A mistake. That’s evidence against him now. A professional would have spotted the camera and avoided it.

The killer was such a poor marksman that he had to rush up onto the victim and fire point blank range, at which point he undoubtedly left evidence including DNA evidence that can be used to convict him. A professional would have made the shot at a distance and left no evidence (probably using a revolver).

The make and model of his car was clearly visible, and there can’t be that many of those even in White. If it was stolen, doubtless more evidence including fingerprints and DNA were left.

Quite likely the police already have a very good idea of the killer, who paid him, and others involved. If they make arrests and prosecute are likely political decisions made by DAs who are in the debt of the criminal organizations themselves (don’t hold your breath). That likely accounts for the amateurishness of the assassination — the killers likely believe at any rate that they are protected politically. They very well may be so in fact.

  30. jb says:
    @Ebony Obelisk

Gun violence has something to do with race because the shooters are disproportionately black. Very disproportionately!

I have to say that many of the commenters on the Twitter thread were using this incident to condemn CNN for supporting Defund the Police, which I don’t think is quite the right criticism. After all you can’t have a police officer on every street corner to protect against random shootings. The correct criticism is that incidents like these discredit the narrative that CNN has been pushing on America, which is that police violence is the problem. The more this sort of thing happens, the more it becomes clear that we have a major problem in America that has nothing to do with the police.

I recall having a heated discussion with a formerly reasonable friend who excoriated me for suggesting that Hillary Clinton could have possibly sanctioned that hit, and it was a hit.

My reply was something like Michael Corleone: “Oh, now who’s being Naive, Kay?”

  33. @Ebony Obelisk

Racist scum. I like that. 👌. Reality cuts to the quick. Sorta like a Godwins law I’d say. Not sure who should get the honor for yet another epynymous law.
I cast my vote to any colored person. The darker the better.

Gun violence is to race what dancing is to race.
Most races aren’t pre-disposed to er twerking over the recently deceased or for that matter the just beaten into unconsciousness also applies.
Who do we know that likes to dance? Hmm let me see…well i know injuns like to dance. Dancing for rain was real popular i hear. That ghost dance was sobering to witness or so I’ve read. No White man knew what the fuck was gonna happen next once them injuns went into that ghost dancing. Shit themselves they did.
Of course the gloat dance is far more common these days and it aint injuns doing the gloat dance.
I’m certain no White man wants to see them injuns go into their ghost dance these days, i know they would shit themselves White men just fall into a trance when they see injuns and colored people dancing.
But guns and race that was what you asked. I hope this analogy can show you their is some real honesty in what he said.
Negroes like to dance and they like to bust caps.
I’ve never seen negroes shooting while dancing but i would like to and i hope it becomes a thing very soon because all these shootings have become just way too routine. And predictable.
Do your part. Oeuvre me into believing its not true.
I also bet you kneegroes can’t out dance them injuns when they go into their ghost dance.
And that’s coming back too y’all. Just give it time. Don’t start shitting yourselves just yet it’ll be almost all entirely White women pretending to be injuns.
    Still pretty scary tho

The American public agrees wholeheartedly that the gangster should receive remedial firearms lessons to increase his accuracy.

  38. @Altai

Is it me or is it getting crazy out there?

Hard to say. Random violence never occurs at the same rate. Going back all through human history, there is always some level of background violence occurring among the general mass of all tribes/nations/races. On an absolute level, more violence is occurring, simply because there are so many of us now (8 billion and climbing). So, if a given population, say 1,000,000 has an annual rate of violence of 1%, then there will be 10,000 violent incidents occurring within a year, on average. If that population rises to 300,000,000, and the average rate of violence remains about the same, now there will be, on average, 3,000,000 incidents of violence. Having said all that, cultural changes and pressures influence the rate of violence, so it shifts in different directions, sometimes rapidly.

Also, a novel situation: more cameras then ever before distributed across the country and the planet (think of all the smart phones out there, along with fixed cameras increasingly deployed in major metropolitan areas, dashcams in cars becoming more frequent, police departments deploying bodycams, etc.). So, incidents of random violence that would have gone unnoticed or unreported (garden variety) in the past can now be uploaded to internet and editorialized endlessly, and it makes it “feel” like violence is exploding everywhere.

Steve likes to point to/discuss Pinker’s book The Better Angels of Our Nature every now and then, as a positive trend in human civilization, but I remain on the fence. Pinker’s analysis shows a long term trend downward of general violence, true. But I don’t know how to account for effects such as the exponentially increased killing power of weapons in the last 200 years, the hyper surveillance society that emerged in the late 20th century (all the cameras described above) and the cultural influence of mass media (i.e. the prevalence of police/crime procedurals in movies and TV, especially in the 1990’s/2000’s with shows such as L & O, CSI, Criminal Minds, etc., saturating the public mind with the idea that, you may commit the crime, but we’ll ALWAYS find you with technology and smarts).

Ah yes, I’m stupid. The camera movement comes from the guy holding the phone filming the screen on which the security camera footage is displayed.

Facebook list of orgs subject to CRIMESTOP dropped:

“Facebook puts users in a near-impossible position by telling them they can’t post about dangerous groups and individuals, but then refusing to publicly identify who it considers dangerous,” said Faiza Patel, co-director of the Brennan Center for Justice’s liberty and national security program, who reviewed the material.

The list and associated rules appear to be a clear embodiment of American anxieties, political concerns, and foreign policy values since 9/11, experts said, even though the DIO policy is meant to protect all Facebook users and applies to those who reside outside of the United States (the vast majority). Nearly everyone and everything on the list is considered a foe or threat by America or its allies: Over half of it consists of alleged foreign terrorists, free discussion of which is subject to Facebook’s harshest censorship.

There he would have known that due to Sailer’s Law, blacks shooting randomly (or not) on DC city streets are highly unlikely to be dangerous.

Only if the bullet count rises above 50 or so is anyone likely to be hit, much less killed.

So being an ignorant brain dead Fake News purveyor can be stressful only if you ignore easily researched facts about mass shooters.
