The “racial reckoning” helps set an all-time U.S. record for biggest percentage increase in homicides: 29% more killings in 2020 than 2019, with the bulk of the explosion in carnage following George Floyd’s death:
According to the CDC the US had a homicide total of 24,692 in 2020, an increase of 5,551 compared to 2019. That's 29% more homicides, with the majority happening after a spike that coincided with the riots protesting the death of George Floyd pic.twitter.com/nrlo5zvvyN

Here’s monthly change year-over-year. You can see that homicides were ramping up, then absolutely exploded during the racial reckoning. Heckuva job at getting blacks murdered, BLMie!

The CDC data is from here.
Here’s another version of the monthly homicide deaths from @YukataPangolin:

Blacks killing blacks likely numbered somewhere around 12,000 or more in 2020 and blacks killed by police numbered 244 according to the Washington Post, so about 49 to 1.

RSS

The Ferguson effect on a national scale?
Who could have predicted that?
Graphs that show a bar giving the difference to “the same month of the previous year” are really not telling. Can anyone do a first derivative?
(Also the upshoot began well before Floyd offed himself on camera.)
BTW, notice that those annual rate graphics have a y-axis which includes 0. These are big changes.
Disastrous results of Leftist policies are never attributed to them. Leftist cover-up seems air tight. Any MSM or politician blames the Left for thousands of Black dead bodies?
Rotherham and Telford mass child gang rapes, the downfall of Zimbabwe, South Africa, Malmoe, Baltimore, Detroit.
Blacks (or Muslims or other protected minority) create mayhem and murder, aided by Leftists. BLM plus Antifa, basically.
And nobody ever learns from the resulting murder, rape, and mayhem. Ever.
Because we are not allowed to even hypothesize that “protected minorities” can cause crime.
Our TruthRevolution dot net and sincerity dot net sites explain the disastrous gag orders and cover-ups as the root cause of murder and mayhem.
And we continue on the wrong path. Police defunding instead of reducing crime by return to stop-and-frisk.
Plain as day evidence that "incentives matter" and that leftist policy X,Y,Z has just made something--crime, employment, welfare dependency, family structure--worse is just "right wing" "fake news".
Modern minoritarian leftism is not a set of real world policies--ergo measurable/testable--policy positions, it is a state religion.
Gosh, China and Soros are laughing about how well their plans have turned out.
I was about to write the very same thing, El Dato. You are right that year-over-year graphs are hard to interpret. We need to integrate in our minds to get the real story, which a) is very hard to do and b) there is no point to, as we have the plain-old actual curves, such as what’s now the 3rd one down. (Did the top two tweets – say that 5 times fast! – appear out of nowhere just now?)
What I do like is the labels that show something about each trend period, especially the label “Jeff Sessions Era”. I hadn’t thought that he was a factor. Perhaps that’s the reason for the 1st derivative graph, to emphasize that trend, but the original curve should suffice.
A decade or more of such increases, maybe the media will quit calling ODs of Junkies Of Color murder?
NAH!
Stop me if this is a silly question, but why is the CDC collecting murder stats? Homicide is not caused by disease. Unless you murder someone by giving them a disease. Which happens, I suppose.
This makes me wonder: does the CDC classify black murderers as a plague?
Guy: “Larry passed? That’s too bad. Heart disease runs in his family.”
Other Guy: “Naw, he caught Vibrant Youf.”
Guy: “Yeah, that’s going around.”
"Public health". That's their story, and they stick to it.
It's almost as if they do not really have enough to do. Witness the hyper-efficient CDC reax to SARS-2.Replies: @Gamecock
So basically at 7.5 per 100,000 we are the worst off developed country when it comes to murder (likely other crimes too) and are in fact entering Latin America territory.
You are now significantly less likely to be murdered in RUSSIA than in the US.
Just fuckin LOL.
It’s over.
It is both elite malice and elite incompetence. They don’t know how to fix it and they also do not care about fixing it. The wholesale surrender of the public to the fraudulent lockdown and the throwing of the election has proven to the elites that they can just do an end run. Be interesting to see what happens in late summer and early fall. Whatever it is, it won’t be supporting cops and stop and frisk.
I like to imagine them rubbing their hands together while saying excellent in a low raspy voice.

It's annoying. How about putting in screen shots of tweets? (I know it's more trouble.)Replies: @Hangnail Hans
The CDC should declare black males a hazard to public health. They off themselves and bystanders in record breaking numbers because it is their thing. Occasionally an infant or toddler catches a round and dies, still waiting for those protests.
Desiderius, a large majority of your tweets are well off the topic of the post you place them under. It’s not that I don’t agree with your point on most of them, but would you consider compiling them on your own twitter page, or better yet, your own blog site with your commentary? I’d look at it. Your best bet might be the insertion of links to your blog or twitter page when the material therein is pertinent to the original post, the comment thread, or both.

A. They have the Deep Police State on their side. Any move against them will bring massive internment camps ala China and the Uighurs.

C. They have China on their side, with unlimited manpower to hunt down and destroy Deplorables.
D. Normie will not do anything until he's loaded into a boxcar, as he has too much to lose: house, car, wife, kids.
Like Dr. Khilaninani and the others talking about killing White people, they know its zero risk. Corporations, the Deep State, China, Billionaires all have their back. As do all the vibrant non-Whites. And they are all making the calculation that it is just a matter of time before elites here copy elites in China and construct permanent internment labor camps. Nike, a Chinese company for Chinese people per the CEO, would love that free labor. As would Apple, and GM.
They have no downside, at least as far as violence goes. In that respect they are correct.
No, the real threat is:
1. Whites not voting. Removing the fake and phony controlled opposition of the Republican Party and allowing the total crazies like Ilhan Omar and Rashia Tlaib to take power over Bidens Regency, Pelosi and Schumer.
2. Whites treating the government, media, etc. like Italians or Greeks treat theirs: widespread tax evasion, every other government rule evasion, law breaking whenever possible, destruction of common areas (which would be for other people not them), retreat to close friends and clan. Distrust of everything, corruption and rule breaking spreading to Whites in a massive way as White identity in a hostile rule by non-Whites who will be the enemy of Whites and seen as such and treated as such.
3. Whites withrdawing from their role as maintenance/repair/patching crew and pretty much everything failing like it does in Haiti.
Slightly OT: They removed the statues of Lee and Stonewall Jackson in Charlottesville today. The black mayor of the 71% white city said, “Taking down this statue is one small step closer to the goal of helping Charlottesville, Virginia, and America grapple with the sin of being willing to destroy Black people for economic gain.”
I wonder how much longer Lee’s tomb can remain at W&L University before it is removed.
Apparently there are no white people left anywhere in the South who object, or they are too intimidated to speak up, as men like Lee are replaced on the pedestal with criminals like George Floyd.
The Confederacy is now only of interest to people who read history (a tiny group) and to the political Left, so it is easy to cancel. The old culture of the South was replaced long ago with Bugs Bunny cartoons and McDonald’s hamburgers. Things changed gradually, then suddenly. Mostly for the worse.

Outspoken. One who supports elite policy goals. But louder.
Whereas . . .
Controversial. One who supports positions held by most ordinary people.
This sort of position used to go to some accomplished "solid citizen"--married with children--type man. Whose basic instincts would be normal and generally in-line with the continuance/flourishing of his children, ergo his people and nation. When it is going to a young childless woman it's a very bad sign:
-- Such women are confused about life.
-- They are "looking for status in all the wrong places".
-- They always--always--have drunk the minoritarian kool-aid, where ordinary civilized sex roles that reproduce a civilized population are "oppression".
-- Hormonally these women are nuts and they are not connected to their own people/nation.
-- Society is giving status/authority to someone fundamentally confused.
-- Society is giving status/authority to someone fundamentally at odds with the continuance of the society.
Women in any sort of general authority--i.e. not children, not other women, but over any sort of general adult population including males--is a mistake, an unnatural idea. Women are not designed for it. And it's particularly toxic now. Men have all sorts of dumb ideas, but women strongly prefer orthodoxy and today's establishment whiny minoritarian orthodoxy is absolutely toxic. But letting childless women have any say in anything--much less any authority--is suicidal.
Again--separation. If these childless women want to be childless and wield authority in their rainbow faggy society--until they become rapertainment for vibrants--great. (I have no desire to hold these women down and impregnate them, nor actually to make anyone do anything. People should live as they want.)
But normal civilized men and women who wish to live in a normal civilized patriarchy, need to be able to do so--absolutely free from these crazy people.
However, she likely feels right at home in St John's, which sports these places:

This ratio is irrelevant. The point is that blacks see themselves as a tribe so they distinguish killings from outside the tribe to killings within the tribe.
The latter (which have been going on forever, long before Europeans appeared on the scene) clearly doesn’t bother them in the slightest – intra-tribal disputes happen. The family and friends of the victim may want to retaliate but it does not implicate the tribe as a whole so the tribe is not obligated to act.
However, if an outsider kills someone from your tribe, the honor of the entire tribe has been offended and must be avenged by the entire tribe, especially if the killer comes from an inferior tribe. (Blacks see themselves as royalty who were kidnapped and have fallen on hard times).
Thus killing George Floyd means riots, but 50 black men killing other black men every weekend means nothing.
I have a close relative who made it reasonably high up in big pharma. This sort of thing is not only par for the course but relatively tame for that corporate culture to the extent that caution re: the vaccines they produce and promote is not only not low-brow it’s pretty much the baseline for any sort of sophisticated understanding of the facts on the ground.

You don’t even have to back White people into a corner for them to start fighting back. It’ll be at the point they have a lot less to lose, but not necessarily in a fight-or-flight corner yet. People in the West have had it very good for very long, and also there’s almost no one alive today who’s seen really terrible times WITHIN this country. People have this mindset that nothing really bad can happen on a large scale. Yes, it can.

I don’t know about Soros but I’m 100% sure that China is not in on it. That’s just sheer republican.doc.
What's happened in the US the past year is a result of 60+ of toxic Jewish driven minoritarianism--anti-white gentilism; anti-American founders/settlers-ism--causing a meltdown. With funding from the anti-white, anti-nationalist, "diversity" pimping Soros--and some others--just being an accelerant.
My interpretation of China "laughing about how their plans have turned out" is that their "plan" is for China to develop, excel, push ahead with science, technology, engineering, industry ... and seeing the competition--America and the West--melt down in an orgy of minoritarian stupidity is "pass the popcorn". (It''s your enemy showing up for battle, drunk and unarmed. His wife and daughters coming into your camp naked.) The Chinese are probably stunned by their good fortune. Anarchy in the streets provides the justification for tyranny from the ministries.
The intention is to make things so bad that people welcome the imposition of the police-state.
It isn’t just anonymous posters on blogs who believe that “worse is better”.
OT – This headline perfectly captures the spirit of the Current Year:
1) why is this CDC data? what does CDC have to do with murder? probably why their response to covid 19 was so bad. serious mission creep for decades.
2) apparently leftists now trust FBI crime data, since the new talking point is “It’s not 1991 levels of murder, so shut up already.”
3) the national murder RATE goes down automatically every year, as the country brings in another 2 million third worlders. the rate is a calculation. there could be the same NUMBER of murders this year and next year, but the rate next year will be lower. so the rate going down steadily is kind of an artificial thing. thus if the RATE actually goes UP, that means there’s a murder explosion, and we definitely ARE closer to 80s and 90s murder activity.
that’s how you get all time murder records in a dozen cities, but the national rate is still lower than 30 years ago, when there were 50 million less people. the situation actually is really quite bad in like 20 cities. it’s not a made up Republican talking point.
1. Don’t forget emergency medical techniques/practices have improved greatly since the late 80s/ early 90s, so the body count in 2020 would be much higher but for better medical treatment keeping those shot alive. At least one study indicated ‘but for contemporary medical treatments’ homicide numbers might be 300-400% higher. Not sure about that, but no doubt the body count would be much higher without great medical treatment and superb efforts by healthcare professionals.
2. Although some in the media keep saying, this ‘little spike in crime’ is still no where near the late 80s/early 90s homicide highs, that’s not true for a number of cities. Philadelphia equaled its all time high murder rate in 2020 (499 deaths in 2020 vs. 500 deaths in 1990) and is on pace to well exceed 600 by the end of 2021. For comparison purposes, Philadelphia had 124 murders in 1962 with a much larger population (2,000,000 in 1962 vs. 1,500,000 in 2020). Although I want to be wrong, in another year or so nationwide homicide numbers should be back to the early 90s.
3. The history of excessively leftist policies leading to urban collapse in the 1960s/70s has been, effectively, memory-holed. Even discussion of the ‘so-called the Ferguson Effect’ is barely tolerated in respectable circles and the narrative regarding causation has now coalesced around the pandemic, lots of gun sales, poverty, people not trusting police, etc. That fact that events are repeating themselves on a national scale within the lifetime of a whole lot of people (who should remember all this from the 60s and 70s) and the media/academia are acting like this never happened before is scary and a testament to the power of the left. Nationally, people are beginning to notice the crime wave and want action, but the left is now only allowing the discussion of a limited set of options to combat crime, options that the left approve of. Getting tough on crime (a policy that saved tens of thousands of lives–mostly black and brown lives) is not an option to be discussed among polite society. Given the greater control the left has now over the megaphone vs. the 1980s/90s, voices of reason offering tough on crime options will not be tolerated. Getting tough on crime would seem like a perfect Republican message, but mainstream Republicans are doing little to drive home tough on crime policies lest they be viewed as racist by the press.
4. Urban academics and criminologists have been some of the worst performing groups in any field, offering no solutions or horrible solutions to crime. The left’s policy prescriptions to fight crime have been offered and been failing for decades. No one has ever held them accountable. Yes, there are exceptions, but their bad advice led to huge body counts in the 60s/70s, 80s/90s and now the 2020s. Prior to 1960, the US was a much harsher, much poorer, less regulated (what gun control laws), more segregated society and yet, people weren’t killing each other in any where near the same numbers as they did in the more enlightened 60s/70s/80s. Moreover, Republicans got little long term recognition for their tough on crime policies that saved so many lives starting in the 1990s. Crime policies that worked (and saved countless lives) are now deemed racist and memory-holed.
As a practical matter, urban America will have to put up for this for years to come.
having said that, Steve is now entering Jared Taylor territory, where his ‘insight’ starts to become mainly talking about how ‘blecks’ are violent and incompatible with year 2000 society, and just look at these FBI statistics. the same article over and over and over for years, so he can avoid talking about the actual serious topics.
Steve Sailer is to FBI statistics as Republicans are to lower taxes.
Perhaps you haven't grasped the reality that the Soviet style US media keeps repeating the lie that "everything is fine" now that Biden is in office. One of iSteve's great services here is to provide data for opinions, not just endlessly repeat worn catchphrases or trite slogans.

I don't entirely trust anything the FBI puts out. But the stats are data used by a lot of opinion influencers.

Activist. One who supports elite policy goals.
Outspoken. One who supports elite policy goals. But louder.
Whereas . . .
Controversial. One who supports positions held by most ordinary people.
for reference, the US had 250 million citizens in 1990, so comparatively, the murder rate would be around 9.8 if America hadn’t taken in 50 million third worlders between then and now.
leftists are saying that things aren’t as bad as 1990, but actually they’re pretty close if you just deduct the endless third worlders coming in.
“They don’t know how to fix it and they also do not care about fixing it.”
Which means that either they don’t know, ergo they don’t care or they don’t care, ergo they don’t know? So much for “the ruling class.”

Spot on. Solid gold sentence there, Jack.
This sort of position used to go to some accomplished “solid citizen”–married with children–type man. Whose basic instincts would be normal and generally in-line with the continuance/flourishing of his children, ergo his people and nation. When it is going to a young childless woman it’s a very bad sign:
— Such women are confused about life.
— They are “looking for status in all the wrong places”.
— They always–always–have drunk the minoritarian kool-aid, where ordinary civilized sex roles that reproduce a civilized population are “oppression”.
— Hormonally these women are nuts and they are not connected to their own people/nation.
— Society is giving status/authority to someone fundamentally confused.
— Society is giving status/authority to someone fundamentally at odds with the continuance of the society.
Women in any sort of general authority–i.e. not children, not other women, but over any sort of general adult population including males–is a mistake, an unnatural idea. Women are not designed for it. And it’s particularly toxic now. Men have all sorts of dumb ideas, but women strongly prefer orthodoxy and today’s establishment whiny minoritarian orthodoxy is absolutely toxic. But letting childless women have any say in anything–much less any authority–is suicidal.
Again–separation. If these childless women want to be childless and wield authority in their rainbow faggy society–until they become rapertainment for vibrants–great. (I have no desire to hold these women down and impregnate them, nor actually to make anyone do anything. People should live as they want.)
But normal civilized men and women who wish to live in a normal civilized patriarchy, need to be able to do so–absolutely free from these crazy people.
If the idea was China “calling the shots” or funding then i agree–that’s bunk.
What’s happened in the US the past year is a result of 60+ of toxic Jewish driven minoritarianism–anti-white gentilism; anti-American founders/settlers-ism–causing a meltdown. With funding from the anti-white, anti-nationalist, “diversity” pimping Soros–and some others–just being an accelerant.
My interpretation of China “laughing about how their plans have turned out” is that their “plan” is for China to develop, excel, push ahead with science, technology, engineering, industry … and seeing the competition–America and the West–melt down in an orgy of minoritarian stupidity is “pass the popcorn”. (It”s your enemy showing up for battle, drunk and unarmed. His wife and daughters coming into your camp naked.) The Chinese are probably stunned by their good fortune. I’m sure there is a a lot of confusion in China now–redoing forecasts, reassessing options, remaking plans–along with a lot of glee. They just didn’t realize it was going to be so easy.
Objectively however, China is far more fragile than most think. You take out a handful of container ship ports along eastern China's shore and they quickly start to starve.
Tiny Hong Kong has them scared shit-less. Xi is reverting to what stupid strongmen type bureaucrats do when they are clueless about how to handle problems. Namely, ratchet up repression. In doing so he's destroying literally billions of dollars of foreign capital invested in local Chinese run firms, now expanding globally. Foreign investment builds domestic capital. Killing that is the traditional Communist road to poverty. I don't think modern Chinese are going to let that happen. Wall St. valuations of huge Chinese firms are already suffering.
They have serious political problems with western China, Tibet and certain other regions. Their population is growing much older as a whole, and retirements are all on the CCP dime.
Xi Jinping is trying to blame foreigners to shove down an enhanced police state. But how does that solve anything? The problem with a One Party state is that ultimately, everything bad that occurs is that Party's fault. Repression of thought and blaming foreigners, and killing off domestic international businesses is a sign of failure.
The CCP and Chinese may be wise enough to avoid a total meltdown. Maybe not. But if the 3 Gorges Dam goes down, it's all over. Or a few port strikes, spreading to rail workers.

Stop me if this is a silly question, but why is the CDC collecting murder stats?
“Public health”. That’s their story, and they stick to it.
It’s almost as if they do not really have enough to do. Witness the hyper-efficient CDC reax to SARS-2.
It’s okay although the author seems to be a bit … youthful.
In particular, directly in the first paragraph
> Nothing interesting has happened in physics since the 1970s, no major figures have risen up
Excuse me? I have the proof on my desk that “physics” has been progressing quite well since the 70s: a 2.5 inch harddisk with 2 TB of information storage.
In particular, the author makes the mistake of so many authors to mistake “physics” with “high-energy” and “fundamental physics”, which are only a small part of the whole physics development effort. I would also count the confirmation of the existence of the Higgs boson and of gravitational waves as a major advancement in the latter. What else should we expect? We won’t have gravity shielding, or Star Trek beamers. No-one will drop a warp or reactionless drive or unleash zero-point energy. These things don’t exist. Big unification of all forces of nature? Maybe soon, maybe later, maybe never, depending on whether it exists or not. We don’t have a say in that particular matter.
The relatively easy path forward, namely quantum computers, is belittled twice for unclear reasons because apparently there needs to be another big mind on the road to its construction, like Hertz on the road to practical applications of electromagnetism. Well, it’s an engineeering problem now, deal with it. Plus, that big mind has already been there, if we need it: Topological quantum computer.
Résumé: B+, can do better. Also NASA (a civilian org) is not the successor of NACA (an essentially military org subject to military inter-service rivalry). It is a different organization, just with a similar name to get congress to sign off on its creation before heading for recess.
While repetition is a well known propaganda technique, in this case it is simply repeating the facts from government statistics. When you are attempting to persuade those who don’t necessarily already believe what you believe, citing neutral facts is useful.
Perhaps you haven’t grasped the reality that the Soviet style US media keeps repeating the lie that “everything is fine” now that Biden is in office. One of iSteve’s great services here is to provide data for opinions, not just endlessly repeat worn catchphrases or trite slogans.

Ever.
Because we are not allowed to even hypothesize that "protected minorities" can cause crime.
Our TruthRevolution dot net and sincerity dot net sites explain the disastrous gag orders and cover-ups as the root cause of murder and mayhem.
And we continue on the wrong path. Police defunding instead of reducing crime by return to stop-and-frisk.Replies: @Gamecock, @AnotherDad
Leftist policies never fail … they just haven’t been tried hard enough.
Plain as day evidence that “incentives matter” and that leftist policy X,Y,Z has just made something–crime, employment, welfare dependency, family structure–worse is just “right wing” “fake news”.
Modern minoritarian leftism is not a set of real world policies–ergo measurable/testable–policy positions, it is a state religion.

They've got the minorities problem. They got the sex-skew issue. The aging issue. They did a half-assed job of landing the "one child" policy. And haven't worked toward a coherent eugenic policy.

There is no doubt–zero–that what is desirable would be ramping up law enforcement. Having the cops really going after the criminals, especially black criminals and hard justice with long sentences (ideally expulsion) that remove them entirely from their neighborhoods (ideally the nation). Removing criminals from the ‘hood is probably the most beneficial policy for black Americans. It actually hard to see them making a whole lot of progress without it.
But this sort of obvious “enforcing civilization” approach to crime is considered “racist” by half the nation. It’s an affront to the whole minoritarian narrative (i.e. packet of lies) and so is just beyond the pale. And we are not going to change minds–sufficient minds–on minoritarianism anything soon.
Ergo, the key takehome here is … separation. People who desire to live with civilized white/Western norms must find a way to separate from minoritarian lunacy, so they can maintain a nation, a civilization for their posterity.
Separation is an absolutely necessity now.

Jack the Dorsey's cult outfit is of course ok with such calls to violence.Replies: @Rob McX
The latter (which have been going on forever, long before Europeans appeared on the scene) clearly doesn't bother them in the slightest - intra-tribal disputes happen.
Thus killing George Floyd means riots, but 50 black men killing other black men every weekend means nothing.Replies: @Buffalo Joe
Jack, nice analogy.
2. Although some in the media keep saying, this 'little spike in crime' is still no where near the late 80s/early 90s homicide highs, that's not true for a number of cities.
Even discussion of the 'so-called the Ferguson Effect' is barely tolerated in respectable circles and the narrative regarding causation has now coalesced around the pandemic, lots of gun sales, poverty, people not trusting police, etc. Getting tough on crime (a policy that saved tens of thousands of lives--mostly black and brown lives) is not an option to be discussed among polite society.
The left's policy prescriptions to fight crime have been offered and been failing for decades. No one has ever held them accountable. Yes, there are exceptions, but their bad advice led to huge body counts in the 60s/70s, 80s/90s and now the 2020s. Prior to 1960, the US was a much harsher, much poorer, less regulated (what gun control laws), more segregated society and yet, people weren't killing each other in any where near the same numbers as they did in the more enlightened 60s/70s/80s. Moreover, Republicans got little long term recognition for their tough on crime policies that saved so many lives starting in the 1990s. Crime policies that worked (and saved countless lives) are now deemed racist and memory-holed.
As a practical matter, urban America will have to put up for this for years to come.Replies: @Buffalo Joe
Hawthorne, good points but what a drain on the limited blood and plasma supply. Are blacks frequent donors? There are blood drives monthly in my town.
I'm sure there is a a lot of confusion in China now--redoing forecasts, reassessing options, remaking plans--along with a lot of glee. They just didn't realize it was going to be so easy.Replies: @Muggles, @Achmed E. Newman
No, China is not calling any shots. However, the CCP and the Chinese infiltrators here – it could be only one in a hundred or one in a thousand, but there are millions of Chinese people living in America, A.D. – do make efforts to influence events here. I get to hear about some of the details. One incident involved the sabotaging of the ticket allotment for a Trump rally back last summer or spring to result in empty seats (it did) to make him look bad.*
It’s not assassination of the opposition party (oops, wait, we don’t have one) type stuff, but they DO get involved. It’s not just about grabbing the popcorn.
.
* Yeah, I know, that’s not what made him look bad. It was almost always Donald Trump who made Trump look bad, to me, that is.
See how delicate things are for Chairman Xi? He's no Mao or Deng Xioping. Just another fat Communist slapping his posters up, pretending to be in charge. Bullying is never a successful leadership strategy.Replies: @Reg Cæsar, @AnotherDad, @Achmed E. Newman
China indeed has a whole bunch of problems, with the demographic state being the root of lots of them. However, you’re missing one factor, Muggles, when you state that “he’s no Mao or Xiaoping”. You are missing the state of modern electronics and software.

Dang!
NYC’s murder numbers over 2020 aren’t bad. I can’t get a cumulative but I check every month.
Why?
Even shooting incidents were down for the current month. In previous months, they were up. Why?
“Hate crimes” however are consistently up radically. Every month I’ve checked.
In this case I think the hate crimes are real (mostly blacks bashing Asians) and not hoaxes. And that’s only what gets reported.

Steve will blame everything except the actual cause: the complete and total destruction of the economy and the mass imprisonment of over 300 million people. We must not forgive, nor forget.

The Midwestern city where I live has been garnished with numerous articles in magazines like Forbes naming it among the best places in which to live, work and raise a family.
But if you stuck it in Europe, it would be the most dangerous city on the continent by a factor of 4. It’s also safer than the state’s largest city by a factor of roughly 3.
…And during the Trump presidency.
I feel like it has to exist.
