Daunte Wright choked a woman and threatened to shoot her if she did not hand over $820 she had stuffed in her bra, court papers obtained by DailyMail.com allege.
That is the case that led to a warrant for his arrest at the time he was shot and killed by police officer Kimberly Potter in Minnesota on Sunday, leading to days of unrest.
And online speculation that he did not know there was a warrant out for his arrest is false, DailyMail.com has learned. A letter returned to the court for having a wrong address was giving notice of a court date in August and had nothing to do with the warrant. …
Wright was due to face trial on a charge of attempted aggravated robbery – with a possible maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
Charging papers say he and a second man, Emajay Driver went to a home shared by two women in Osseo, Minnesota ‘to party’ in December 2019. At the time, Wright was 19 and Driver was 18.
The women asked them to leave around 2.30 am on December 1, but they said they didn’t have a ride and the women – who are not identified in the court documents – allowed them to sleep on the floor.
In the morning, one of the women went to the bank to get her $820 rent money which she gave to the other woman and then left for work. As Wright, Driver and the second woman were leaving, Wright allegedly tried to hold up the woman.
‘The three of them were walking to the door to exit the apartment and defendant Wright turned around and blocked the door preventing victim from leaving,’ says the report, written by Osseo Police Officer Shane Mikkelson.
‘Defendant Wright then pulled a black handgun with silver trim out from either his right waistband or his right coat pocket and pointed it at victim and demanded the rent money,’ continued Mikkelson.
‘Victim said “Are you serious?” Defendant Wright replied: “Give me the f**king money, I know you have it.”
When the woman again asked him if he was serious, Wright is said to have replied: ‘I’m not playing around.’
Mikkelson’s report said: ‘The $820 cash was tucked in the victim’s bra and defendant Wright placed his hand around victim’s neck and choked her while trying to pull the cash from under her bra.
‘Victim was able to get loose from defendant Wright and started to kneel down and scream.’
After more yelling, Wright allegedly told the woman that he was going to shoot her unless he got the money.
‘Give me the money and we will leave,’ he allegedly said. ‘Give me the money and we will go.’
Mikkelson added: ‘Defendant Wright then tried to choke victim a second time and tried to take her money. Defendant Driver was telling her to give defendant Wright the money.
‘Defendant Driver then said: “Let’s go,” and the two defendants left and got into a white Cadillac and left the scene,’ wrote Mikkelson.
‘Afterwards, victim found that the cash was still in her bra.’
Mikkelson said the woman identified both Wright and Driver through photo line-ups.
Wright’s bail was originally set at $100,000 with orders that he should not contact the victim or any witnesses, refrain from drugs and alcohol and not have any weapons. A bond bailsman paid $40,000 for his release.
But his bail was revoked in July last year due to his ‘failure to not possess a firearm or ammunition’ and not keeping in touch with his probation officer, court papers show.
At that time a judge issued a warrant for his arrest, that was still outstanding on the day he died.
Impossible. All the lefties have spent the past two days telling me he just had “expired tags,” or they were hassling him over “air fresheners.” (I don’t know what they mean about the second one, but I kept hearing people repeat it, so…)

Well come on, man! $820 is real money!

This is all part of the plan.
It’s all about dividing people up. Start with a story about a black man who is shot by police. Make sure that two stories can be told at the same time:
– Violent felon resists arrest, gets shot
And
– Saintly Black Man, as innocent as the Lamb of God and just as worthy of worship, is mercilessly gunned down by white Hitler cops, who are only the tip of the white supremacist systemic racist institutions that must all be destroyed.
Shitlibs are only for police brutality when cops are arresting old white people outside for not wearing a mask. Then they’re critical of police for not being brutal enough.
Or they are the president of the US?
That is one of the more risable things about the mask tyrants: Half of them don't wear the thing correctly to begin with. It's pure virtue signaling by half wits.
If the female officer hadn’t shot him, he might have pulled a gun from his vehicle and killed her and her partner, or sped off and killed a pedestrian or innocent motorist.
But since resisting arrest is an established civil right, his family will get $27 million.
She fucked up, bad.
Yet another Affirmative Action nightmare.
She knew this and did not intend to shoot him but she confused her gun for her Taser which apparently happens fairly often - there have been maybe a dozen such incidents in the last couple of decades. You would think that this is hard to do since the Taser is usually carried on the opposite hip from the service weapon and doesn't look or feel anything like a pistol but it happens that cops panic and draw the wrong weapon.
Keep in mind that these are not long, drawn out deliberations - the whole thing is over in a flash. From the time that Daunte squirms out of the cop's grasp and jumps back into the car to the time that she draws the wrong weapon is maybe 5 seconds. She then says "I'll tase ya'. Taser taser taser!" (Another 10 seconds have gone by - perhaps long enough to see that the thing that you have in your hand is black and not yellow but her eyes are surely on Daunte and looking to see if he is going for a weapon - if she had seen one would she have dropped her gun and gone for her Taser since she was already mixed up?) And then she shoots him with her Glock. Ooops. Oh shit.Replies: @Alec Leamas (hard at work), @Anonymous, @Thomasina, @El Dato, @Redman
For cops who take their oaths seriously, and seek to protect rather than just record homicide stats, gunfights can break out and end very quickly. In this encounter, 54 rounds were fired in 56 seconds, with the perp firing 21 of them.

I had a feeling something like this would come up.
Guess I’m prescient. Yeah, thats the ticket.
Here’s an interesting clip where Duante demonstrates principles of responsible firearm ownership:
https://citizenfreepress.com/breaking/msm-will-never-show-you-this-video-of-daunte-wright-waving-around-his-gun/
Ever-helpful CNN tells us that yes, this case is about the air freshener.
Only racists would mention things like stolen cars, violence against women, stuff like that. Funny how violence against women is suddenly okay when committed by heroes like Daunte and St. George.
He sho’ had a nice car for a 20-year old dirtbag. BTW, I haven’t seen what work that he did–y’know –Work. Was he a cardiothoracic surgeon, theoretical physicist, Ambassador to Luxembourg-or anything at all? He had a little sprog (one, that we know of) a couple of years ago–where her food come from? (that was Ebonics).
Another productive member of society has had her life destroyed because criminal thug lives are just as important as productive member of society lives. Imagine if Einstein had gone to jail for accidentally stepping on an ant. Such waste.
He like this female cop immediately screamed something like "Oh my God". So apparently in the heat of a contested arrest cops can mistake a Taser for a gun. Accidents like this one are the price we pay for having cops carry two different weapons. If there was no Taser on her belt presumably the mistake would not have occurred.
We should all be consoled that while it is unfortunate that a citizen was accidently killed, apparently God has arranged that all these black shooting victims by cops have turned out to be vile scum well deserving of death. Trayvon Martin, George Floyd, and now this felon. Restores my faith in divine guidance.Replies: @Mark Roulo

Now, in fairness, I understand what the mayor is doing with his wording, he’s saying that he spoke to actual peaceful protestors (Who, from the looks of them look local and black and not thrill seeking middle class white antifa out to attack police stations.) but it’s still amazing that he kept his ballistic helmet on for this photo, (It’s actually amazing that a mayor was just walking around in a ballistic helmet at all) unless he really was in fear even then. I understand what he is saying and think Andy Ngo is unfair in his criticism. I think it’s highly likely these people were peaceful protestors and his wording make it clear he was obliquely referencing the other, not peaceful protestors.
This footage shows the antifa with black umbrellas and the same brand of pink re-breather masks that the infamous ‘umbrella man’ who wikipedia and the media briefly tried to trick everyone into thinking wasn’t a vanguard antifa but a member of a white-supremacist biker gang and who single-handedly started all the looting and violence. As spokesperson for the Air Freshener Media combine, let me answer Mr. Altai: No. Because that is Not A Question.
You'll have to read some disreputable foreign organ, if you insist on satisfying those prurient urges.
How about we ask some white residents what they think about mass ethnic displacement, asian corruption, latino gangs and black crime?

The female cop made a fatal error and should have to suffer the consequences. But the "victim" was a career criminal, known to be armed, who resisted arrest and as a result suffered an unsurprising consequence.
If the State Media wants me to pity the victim, he needs to be somewhat sympathetic. It's almost as if there aren't any of those.
I hope iSteve will find some article about some now martyred dirtbag that comes from a MSM source where all of the relevant known actual facts are included in the first or second paragraph.
No, not single sentence “breaking news” alerts stuff, but the kind of reporting that some here remember from the 20th century, back in ancient times when facts seemed to matter.
Said facts might include pending or past criminal charges, for instance. Not mere recitations from relatives or supposed friends attesting to what a decent fellow the decedent really was. Or the recent “mental health” problems they were “working to overcome.” Ditto for claims of “aspiring rapper” or “plans to become an electrician” after a few decades of revolving jailhouse doors.
Of course the Daily Mail will soon be banned for some reason here in the US. Illegal import of newsprint, maybe. Oh, make that unlicensed import of foreign electrons. In the new Biden tax plan.
Facts that interfere with The Narrative are de facto efforts to encourage sedition. No longer permitted.

Yeah, but there was the gun.
Why are there so many pedophiles in positions of power?
Powerful interests&individuals want puppets who they can blackmail. So if you’re an oligarch or a military/intel agency who wants a loyal&pliable puppet, the ideal candidate is a pedophile. That’s why there are so many pedophiles in influential positions.
A pedophile can never assert his independence from his benefactors. If he does, his benefactors can ruin him with incriminating photos, sex tapes, correspondence, and documents. His benefactors could even find a victim and get him to come forward.
More broadly speaking, any type of blackmail is nice to have over your puppet. Out of all forms of blackmail, sexual blackmail is the most powerful. Out of the perverse sexual behaviors, pedophilia is the worst.
Who runs the world?
Blackmailers (especially sexual blackmailers) run the world. These blackmailers are usually pimps, who are affiliated with military/intel agencies&oligarchs.
For example, Jeffrey Epstein ran a massive-sized prostitution ring that blackmailed global elites (Clintons, British royals, Hollywood, Ivy League academics, politicians, media, etc). The ring was financed by business magnate Leslie Wexner, with the Israeli Mossad collecting the sexual blackmail tapes. While Epstein pimped adults&teens primarily, he trafficked children too.
If you want to have a sophisticated understanding of the nature of power, you must do more research into prostitution rings that cater to the elites.
Examples:
-Jeffrey Epstein
-The Finders
-Presidio military base
-Boystown in Omaha/Larry King
-Craig Spence
-Pizza Gate
This stuff is all real, but only a few know.
If you watch Stanley Kubrick’s film “Eyes Wide Shut,” you’ll gain a better understanding of these elite prostituion rings. You’ll also gain a better understanding of the elite’s bizarre obsession with the Occult (like Marina Abramovich and Satanic ceremonies).

In one sense, yes. But in another (very real) sense, it’s an article of apparel which may come in handy more and more, for many of us.
Finally, a strategy nearly everyone can agree on.
Rant incoming.
Summary: the system should stop being schitzo! It’s overly harsh on minor / unimportant things and irresponsibly lenient or slow on important / dangerous things.
The classic theory put forth in general is that once an officer has declared an arrest, then he must effect it because the stability of society would otherwise be undermined AND if the guy gets away who KNOWS how many people he might kill.
While i agree with the first part, prosecutors and the courts have made a total mockery of the second part and given the lie to it.
The article doesn’t say how the court came to know about Daunte’s “failure to not possess a firearm or ammunition” while out on bail, but that was already 9 months ago. What steps, if any, did the court, the sheriff’s office, the police or the bail bondsman take during that time to apprehend him? (my guess is approximately nothing)
And this wasn’t for fare skipping , jaywalking or marijuana possession… it’s attempted robbery with a gun. What is the point of all these laws both gun laws and anti violence laws if they’re not actually enforced against the people who commit violent crime?
This young man was caught committing a violent crime with a gun at age 19 (it is unknown how many other crimes and of what seriousness he committed before that) and he has been walking the street and committing who knows how many more crimes for the 16 months since then.
If he had lived, what would even be the point of putting him in jail for 3 or 5 or 20 years 2, 3 or 4 years after he was first caught?
Neither is society being protected from him during that time nor is he being rehabilitated or prevented from descending further into criminality.
Our system is a ridiculous jumble of contradictions. First we fight to arrest people “on principle” (not in this case really but others; e.g. Floyd for passing a phony $20). Then just let them out a few hours later, sometimes forever, sometimes for years… but then throw the book at them and put them in jail for 10 years.
I understand the philosophical claims behind the various parts, but from a practical implementation point of view it’s a mess, some of it stuck in mentalities form decades or centuries ago.
(note, i’m not crying for Daunte. he made his bed. And the cop shouldn’t have resigned and neither should have the police chief. And the black city manager, who was fired by the black mayor for saying the cop was entitled to due process. should sue the city. )
Come on, man.
The "decision-makers" (and I don't mean "Biden") are having so much fun exploiting a target-rich environment of the frankly deranged and unmoored "people" who have a massive information, time and resource disadvantage (and some are seriously mentally ill, too) -- why would they stop? Really, how *could* they stop?
Nobody is going to fix anything, the train is is MASSIVE motion.
It's in such massive motion that an obviously unfit POTUS was fortifiably elected with the full opinion-construction might of the meedja and SCOTUS can't even read the Constitution anymore.
Currently there seem to be systems of looting within looting, exploitation within exploitation, non-stop propaganda within non-stop propaganda, all held together with circus shows, partisan or otherwise. It's really ultra bizarre.Replies: @The Wild Geese Howard
The result of this negligence is all too often that, in a routine traffic stop, the suspect knows that if he doesn't flee he will be going to jail.Replies: @Anonymous
Completely irrelevant; just like with George Floyd, this is not about who the victim was, but about actions of police officers involved. Cops have no right to execute people on the street at will, even if they were criminals – end of story.
They should also be able to tell the difference between their guns and teasers, or they should not be allowed to carry either.
OT: A very Florida news item: Black woman runs over and kills a female New York judge, the latter being almost a Ruth Bader Ginsburg clone. The black was screaming she was Harry Potter when apprehended. I bet the relatives of the judge are regretting every libtard ruling she ever handed down from the bench.

By the way, that BLM founder who bought a pricy home actually bought 4 of them. One has an airplane hanger and runway. For drug running, perhaps?

How does an assailant get bail for a crime involving a gun, while telling the victim that he’s going to shoot her if she doesn’t hand over the money? It’s bizarre.
Cops should all move to Florida. Dirtbags get greased for less, cops get a commendation. Local sheriff “accidentally” hit a dirtbag crossing the highway, got lots of public praise and support.

I agree. I’ll go you one further: if the officer hadn’t shot him, he would soon be killed anyway, consumed by this evil thug culture. One further: innocent lives may very well have been saved by cutting his violent criminal career short.

2. These were sent to collection
3. Cops pulled him over for this and noticed an illegal rear-view-mirror air freshener
4. Cops shot him dead when he resisted such a silly arrest.
Then the guy found a third warrant, still not important.
Then the guy (whose search chops don’t seem to be that reliable) finally found a fourth warrant, a “gross misdemeanor warrant,” the nature of which he doesn’t seem to want to explain, because “NONE OF THIS JUSTIFIES LETHAL FORCE.”
Give the guy credit for updating his tweets rather than just deleting the erroneous first tweet. I suppose by the time the retweets exceeded 8,000 it gets hard to delete and pretend you never made a fool of yourself.

The Mail Online is the apparently world’s fourth most popular online English language news site, coming in behind the BBC, CNN, and New York times, but ahead of Fox News.
It is estimated that 70% of its readership is in the United States. The paper version of the paper also sells about 2 million copies a day in Britain.
I have been reading the Daily Mail since 1964, but not continuously. The Daily Mail was founded in 1896.
So apparently the online readership in the US runs into the multimillions. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are apparently particularly devoted readers.
It was said by one wit of the Daily Mail, that a man who is tired of the Daily Mail must be tired of the life of Kim Kardashian.

Initial news reports made it seem he was killed for having an air freshener in the car. The facts come out later, not that it makes much difference to those bent on pursuing the narrative. He was a criminal who got into a physical confrontation with the police and ended up dead. Although the policewoman is being derided as incompetent it’s not the first time a gun was mistaken for a taser. In a sudden fight things move fast and become something of a blur. Adrenaline is dumped and people react automatically. If this pos hadn’t been involved in a life of crime he’d be alive. His criminal career just got cut short at the age of twenty rather than forty sparing many future victims of this budding predator. Just think of the lives spared being ravaged, destroyed or even murdered by this individual meeting his demise sooner rather than later.
The blogger previously posted a link to the details of Wright’s behavioral record. It contained no information about the violent robbery.
The fact remains that Wright’s car was stopped due to expired tags, i.e. the cops fulfilling their duties as tax collectors for the schools.

What’s the world coming to when Daunte can’t choke a bitch, collect her rent money and still be loved?
Yeah I know liberals, it still doesn’t justify murder (that exact sentence has been written 70,000 times on Twitter in the last 30 seconds). Way to miss the point. And it wasn’t murder, not legally, not any way.
BTW, where is this woman? Also, where’s the pregnant woman George Floyd threatened with a gun? I’d love to hear from both of them. Long interviews, maybe by Oprah with everyone seated on a comfy patio.
His bail was revoked in July, and nine months later he’s still on the street? If he had been where he belonged; he’d still be alive.
He didn’t deserve to be (accidentally) shot dead; but he was certainly asking to get tased.
If an investigation shows that the officers were acting inappropriately prior to the guy getting shot, a case could be made that the officer should be charged with manslaughter; but this definitely wasn’t intentional murder.
On topic and relevant. Two weeks ago an off-duty Pentagon cop shot and killed two suspected car thieves who were likely up to no good, snooping around the parking lot of the officer’s apartment complex. There was a third suspect, but he was only wounded. He drove his two buddies to the hospital where they were DOI.
The two dead suspects were African American (names Dominique and Lionel). I can say without hesitancy that the cop was African American because 1) the police report does not discuss his race, 2) the police report does not report his name.
Notice this though, the cop’s reason for shooting dead the two suspected thieves was that “they fled after not obeying his commands when he confronted them for what he believed was an in-progress car break-in”.
I doubt that the cop will be charged. I doubt that he will be dismissed from the force. Most likely he will be allowed to retire with untaxed disability pension. Disability due to PTSD (gotta love white cops for one thing at least, they sure know how to write good union contracts).
What’s the lesson to be learned. Obey black cops when they tell you to do something, no matter how trivial the purported offense.

No woman in San Francisco was safe from purse snatchers in those days after all the legal aid grant grifters got their money from the Carter Reagan Bush 1 administrations. Old women took to buying make up bags and sewing them to the coat lining so they needn’t carry a visible purse.
So here’s this black woman lived in the unspeakable Sunnyvale projects. Welfare check arrived. So she walked down the hill to cash the check and get the food stamps.
In the way home she hears running footsteps behind her. Sure nuff, some POS thug grabs her purse and runs off up the hill.
She continued all smug because her keys are in a pocket; cash in one bra cup food stamps in the other bra cup.
Couple minutes later, he comes running back down the hill grabs her head and digs the cash and food stamps out of her bra.
At least he didn’t hurt her and she still had her keys.
Kill it… with fire…

I saw this earlier over at the Daily Mail. I was going to post the link here as Off Topic but I am glad to see it has its own post, which it deserves to get.
Two guys using a gun and choking a girl to get her rent money when she let them stay overnight is cold. His family and lawyer painting him as Mr. Wonderful who just happens to be a dad too when they must have known about this will make me discount anything else they have to say. The parents’ insistence that the cop is a liar about using the gun by mistake rubbed me the wrong way before and now that we know they don’t tell the truth themselves I really don’t want to hear more from them but of course we will.
I wonder how the girl he attacked feels now? I assume the city will end up giving his estate a multimillion dollar settlement. Could she file a civil suit against his estate and get a payday too? That would be justice.
That’s worth reporting. Daunte Wright wasn’t a saint.
In fact, it looks like he was something of a young thug.
The cops still shouldn’t have executed him for fleeing arrest.
Good thing they didn’t do that.

Summary: the system should stop being schitzo! It's overly harsh on minor / unimportant things and irresponsibly lenient or slow on important / dangerous things.
The classic theory put forth in general is that once an officer has declared an arrest, then he must effect it because the stability of society would otherwise be undermined AND if the guy gets away who KNOWS how many people he might kill. While i agree with the first part, prosecutors and the courts have made a total mockery of the second part and given the lie to it.The article doesn't say how the court came to know about Daunte's "failure to not possess a firearm or ammunition" while out on bail, but that was already 9 months ago. What steps, if any, did the court, the sheriff's office, the police or the bail bondsman take during that time to apprehend him? (my guess is approximately nothing) And this wasn't for fare skipping , jaywalking or marijuana possession... it's attempted robbery with a gun. What is the point of all these laws both gun laws and anti violence laws if they're not actually enforced against the people who commit violent crime? This young man was caught committing a violent crime with a gun at age 19 (it is unknown how many other crimes and of what seriousness he committed before that) and he has been walking the street and committing who knows how many more crimes for the 16 months since then.If he had lived, what would even be the point of putting him in jail for 3 or 5 or 20 years 2, 3 or 4 years after he was first caught?
Neither is society being protected from him during that time nor is he being rehabilitated or prevented from descending further into criminality. Our system is a ridiculous jumble of contradictions. First we fight to arrest people "on principle" (not in this case really but others; e.g. Floyd for passing a phony $20). Then just let them out a few hours later, sometimes forever, sometimes for years... but then throw the book at them and put them in jail for 10 years.
I understand the philosophical claims behind the various parts, but from a practical implementation point of view it's a mess, some of it stuck in mentalities form decades or centuries ago.(note, i'm not crying for Daunte. he made his bed. And the cop shouldn't have resigned and neither should have the police chief. And the black city manager, who was fired by the black mayor for saying the cop was entitled to due process. should sue the city. )Replies: @anon, @El Dato, @James N. Kennett, @Jack D
You mean, it’s a situation of anarcho-tyranny?
Come on, man.
The “decision-makers” (and I don’t mean “Biden”) are having so much fun exploiting a target-rich environment of the frankly deranged and unmoored “people” who have a massive information, time and resource disadvantage (and some are seriously mentally ill, too) — why would they stop? Really, how *could* they stop?
Nobody is going to fix anything, the train is is MASSIVE motion.
It’s in such massive motion that an obviously unfit POTUS was fortifiably elected with the full opinion-construction might of the meedja and SCOTUS can’t even read the Constitution anymore.
Currently there seem to be systems of looting within looting, exploitation within exploitation, non-stop propaganda within non-stop propaganda, all held together with circus shows, partisan or otherwise. It’s really ultra bizarre.
At the rate they're going we'll be in a three-front war with Russia, China, and Iran by the end of the year.
Hyperinflation and currency collapse will follow soon thereafter.

He could have pulled a gun from his car and executed the officers who had pulled him over. Anyone who resists arrest like that raises all kinds of red flags about their willingness to engage in violence, and about what they may be hiding. It was a justifiable shoot.
So, yes in this case Wright had a warrant for a violent felony and knew the stakes were high if he was cuffed and booked, but others may resist arrest and run for much less serious crimes simply because it can work out for them.
Still, you have to think that, in 2021, any cop who pulls over a black guy to hassle him about his “air freshener” has to be clinically insane. Who wants to risk being the next Derek Chauvin just so they can bust some guy’s balls over an air freshener?Replies: @Jack D, @Alden
1. They pulled him over because he had expired tags. He might or might not have had an air freshener in addition – it’s irrelevant.
2. The reason they do this is not to make the world safe from the scourge of air fresheners but because the police are not allowed to pull you over for no reason. They are, however, 100% allowed to pull you over for ANY violation of the law. Once they pull you over they run your name and your licence tags and they see if you have any outstanding warrants, any drugs in plain view, etc. and then they arrest you if you do. This is their job, to get POS’s like Danute off the street by any lawful means. If they can’t do this then the alternative is for them to eat donuts while the Dtanues of the world roam free and continue to rob people of their rent money.
3. Duante did not feel like going to jail so when the cops were trying to cuff him he jumped back in the car. If Daunte had just submitted to his lawful arrest he’s still be alive. Yes, his ass would be in jail where it belonged, but he’d be alive.
4. But you are right – they are going to do less of this and MN is going to be more like MO and MD.

Here is a 16-minute dashcam/bodycam record of a June 2020 traffic stop, released by the Tulsa PD.
The first 2 minutes is the setup -- at 3 am, a car recklessly cuts in front of the cop and gets pulled over.
Then drop in for any 15 seconds between 6 minutes and 13 minutes. The driver won't get out of his car. Still routine.
At 13' 15", the cops tase David for the first time. Repeats also don't work, neither does pepper spray to the face.
The reality TV "commotion" scene continues through 15' 15". Cops are yelling and pulling, David moans and cries while somehow slithering out of their grasp and back into the driver's seat.
We glimpse the pistol David grabbed from under the seat at 15' 18".
At 15' 42", David kills one cop and critically injures the other.
In the spirit of the Current Year, this video is posted online, but it is Not News. It's particularly irrelevant to Duante Wright's situation because everybody involved is (was) white.
Didn’t P J O’Rourke say some along the lines of “if oxygen was legal these people shouldn’t be allowed to breathe it”?

To hide all that money in a bra it must have been at least a double D size. I think that "Women hiding money in bra's " is more common than one might think. One benefit is that instantaneously she becomes more noticeable to men and doesn't need to spend thousands on breast augmentation.

How do you think the cops catch people with outstanding warrants? It’s very often not by a dragnet for a specific person, but rather by random cops checking up on those caught committing the most minor infractions, which show they don’t understand the meaning of at least one law, and provide an excuse to stop them. Parking in disabled-only parking spaces ECT will get you ran through the computer. To make an important felony arrest a cop might have to stop and check up on people hundreds of times more or less at random. If you don’t want stopped at all, then behave the relevant rules and you’ll look like someone who obeys all rules.
The problem is that we told our police to trade billy-clubs for tazers. Billy-clubs could hardly be confused with a tazer, and there is something emotionally relaxing about using one on a resisting perp that makes it less likely for a cop to resort to using a gun. Of course, I must be thinking of the days when most cops were male and physically fit enough to swing one with effect. Silly me.

OK. Ranking depends on whether you include Google news and Yahoo news as they are just aggregators of news that may include stories from the Daily Mail and other news sources.
Anyway even from that source the Daily Mail has a bigger online readership than the Washington Post and claims 50 million unique users per month. Also more readers than the Huffington Post just for reference.
That’s certainly something they could have claimed if they hadn’t already released footage of the officer loudly proclaiming she was about to use her taser and then acting shocked when it turned out she had shot the suspect instead. If this guy had a warrant out for a violent felony I’m not sure why the department didn’t immediately proclaim this fact from the rooftops instead of showing everyone the body camera footage without comment.
How exactly does it work that police cannot kill someone disobeying them (once other means have failed)? How is that different from “the police no longer exist”? What policing is going to happen if people can just run away?
The cop here made an honest mistake. It cost Daunte Wright his life. Daunte Wright deserved fair consequences for his crimes, he didn't do anything so terrible as to deserve the death penalty. No police system will be perfect. I'm sympathetic with both sides.
I'm sympathetic with the cop who is going to get crucified for an honest mistake. I'm sympathetic for the family of Daunte Wright that had their family member killed by law enforcement without getting a fair trial. He wasn't completely innocent. The cops didn't kill him for nothing, he has some culpability. But no judge would have prescribed death and he got worse than he deserved.Replies: @J.Ross

If the photo is indeed of a woman getting arrested for not having a mask on, it seems her lawyer should point out D’Barney Fife isn’t wearing his own face diaper correctly.
That is one of the more risable things about the mask tyrants: Half of them don’t wear the thing correctly to begin with. It’s pure virtue signaling by half wits.
Hey, they used the wrong photos of Mr. Wright! They were supposed to use the middle school pic that the MSM has been using. These pics make him look less angelic. Not fair!

“teasers”… Is this your Tiny Duck tell?
Excellent question. My guess is that the Post and Times and many other US news media have a notion about what is important that differs from yours or mine. Rather like Biden and Harris.
The air fresheners absorb the smell of burning pot. Ergo, in the mind of a black person, being pulled over means the police suspect you of driving stoned and being in possession. Driving stoned and being in possession are the ordinary state of affairs for black people (see George Floyd), therefore, police are targeting blacks just for being black. Racism.

How Do You Do It?
Which is doubtless why you can’t use a Daily Mail story as a reference for any content on Wikipedia. Any, not just BLP. And by the by, YouTube will not let you make a comment with the word riot in it. The Minnesota police chief was shouted down by reporters at a press conference the other day when he called the demonstrations “riots”. He has now resigned.
The Daily Mail is quite a mixture, but it is a real news outlet and it does contain some well researched original stories along with the celebrity gossip.
It has gained itself a bad reputation by stealing and rewriting stories from other news outlets and its lead columnist Piers Morgan can be a pain in the neck at times.
However if you want to know what's going on in the world and see plenty of pictures, you will get most of the main stories in The Daily Mail or Mail Online written in a lively fashion. The sports reporting is also quite good.
Statistically, what are the odds?
If the Police pull over a random Black Male age 16-60, for any ticketable/lawless activity, what are the odds he has outstanding Warrants or previous Convictions? 50/50? Higher?
Every potential Police interaction with a Negroid runs a a discretely mathematical value of escalation, and the Police obviously know this. They also know that the System has given up on smashing the Black criminal element, so I would think that most Police will rapidly quit, or move to de facto working for drug dealers.
> Duante did not feel like going to jail so when the cops were trying to cuff him he jumped back in the car.
Here is a 16-minute dashcam/bodycam record of a June 2020 traffic stop, released by the Tulsa PD.
The first 2 minutes is the setup — at 3 am, a car recklessly cuts in front of the cop and gets pulled over.
Then drop in for any 15 seconds between 6 minutes and 13 minutes. The driver won’t get out of his car. Still routine.
At 13′ 15″, the cops tase David for the first time. Repeats also don’t work, neither does pepper spray to the face.
The reality TV “commotion” scene continues through 15′ 15″. Cops are yelling and pulling, David moans and cries while somehow slithering out of their grasp and back into the driver’s seat.
We glimpse the pistol David grabbed from under the seat at 15′ 18″.
At 15′ 42″, David kills one cop and critically injures the other.
In the spirit of the Current Year, this video is posted online, but it is Not News. It’s particularly irrelevant to Duante Wright’s situation because everybody involved is (was) white.
He was stopped by police in June 2020 and found to be carrying a pistol. He managed to run away. The following month the warrant was issued for his arrest.
It’s a sad situation. People charged with attempted armed robbery should never be out on bail; but then when bail is revoked and a warrant is issued, there should be a serious effort to bring them in. It’s not as if it has been easy to hide during the Covid lockdown.
The result of this negligence is all too often that, in a routine traffic stop, the suspect knows that if he doesn’t flee he will be going to jail.
I agree. I'll go you one further: if the officer hadn't shot him, he would soon be killed anyway, consumed by this evil thug culture. One further: innocent lives may very well have been saved by cutting his violent criminal career short.Replies: @raga10

I’m sorry the lady cop is not exactly Einstein if she can’t tell the Glock on her right hip from the Taser on her left. Yes it all happened very fast (Daunte, like many young black males, was as fast as a cat) but she is supposed to be a trained and experienced police officer and even in a stressful situation (ANY situation where you have to draw a weapon, even the non-lethal Taser, is by definition stressful) you should be able to not panic and draw the weapon that you intend to draw.
I disagree and I think you’ve taken the coward’s way out.
No matter how far you run, they will find you eventually. I care a lot. This is wrong and they must be faced and beaten eventually.

This is the White Woman that Whiskey goes on about, the kind who will show up at school board meetings, has a “Hate has no home here!” sign in the front yard or on the front of her apartment, obviously votes a party line, etc. This is the face and voice of a particularly “concerned woman”, who can be found at all sorts of rallies, marches, etce.
For sure she also has a pink kitty hat in some drawer, and an ex-husband who doesn’t miss her.
Unless she actually saw a gun she was not legally justified in shooting him. The law is that you can’t shoot unarmed people (even felons) just because they are fleeing.
She knew this and did not intend to shoot him but she confused her gun for her Taser which apparently happens fairly often – there have been maybe a dozen such incidents in the last couple of decades. You would think that this is hard to do since the Taser is usually carried on the opposite hip from the service weapon and doesn’t look or feel anything like a pistol but it happens that cops panic and draw the wrong weapon.
Keep in mind that these are not long, drawn out deliberations – the whole thing is over in a flash. From the time that Daunte squirms out of the cop’s grasp and jumps back into the car to the time that she draws the wrong weapon is maybe 5 seconds. She then says “I’ll tase ya’. Taser taser taser!” (Another 10 seconds have gone by – perhaps long enough to see that the thing that you have in your hand is black and not yellow but her eyes are surely on Daunte and looking to see if he is going for a weapon – if she had seen one would she have dropped her gun and gone for her Taser since she was already mixed up?) And then she shoots him with her Glock. Ooops. Oh shit.
My guess is that she's practiced draws of the firearm from her holster enough to create some muscle memory (draws are important to practice to avoid NDs during the process and, of course, shooting yourself or friendlies).
Under stress, she probably reverted to the default "draw from hip" muscle memory even though her brain was thinking "taser taser taser."
And, of course, Mr. Wright induced a large amount of escalating stress into an already stressful situation by resisting arrest and attempting escape by car (which was of course dangerous in that the officers were on foot surrounding the vehicle). The police, by virtue of arresting him on routine traffic stop, certainly knew that he was wanted on an open warrant for a serious or violent felony.
This violent criminal, who had warrants out for illegal possession of a gun and for violent armed robbery, had lunged back into his car after resisting his attempted arrest by at least three armed officers of the peace. Anyone that reckless, and with that criminal history, could have pulled out a gun from underneath the seat and shot the officers. Or he could have used his vehicle as a deadly weapon to injure the police or innocent passersbys, either deliberately or recklessly. Nice strawman. He wasn’t merely fleeing. In fact, at that instant there was no way to know just what this violent criminal was going to do after fighting the cops. He could have pulled a gun from the car. Or he could have sped off and seriously injured or killed someone. Under the circumstances, the police were justified in using deadly force in self defense and in defense of others. If anything, she was incompetent in choosing a taser over a gun. What if the criminal had pulled a gun from under his seat like in that Tulsa case? By the time you see it, it’s too late. You are making my points for me.Replies: @vhrm
This is speculation; we don't know this for a fact. We haven't heard the officer speak yet. Could be she said, "Taser, taser," and then changed her mind in that split second when she saw him reach for something in his car.
So many fairytales: the young man got pulled over because he displayed an air freshener in his back window, he didn't know there were warrants out for his arrest (I'm sure he knew that when they were attempting to handcuff him), Black don't continually attempt to flee, Saint Floyd couldn't have died from a drug overdose, and on and on.

There was ample justification, not just for the taser, but for using the gun. He was a dangerous criminal with a propensity for gun crimes, including aggravated armed robbery. He was resisting arrest, fighting with 2 armed cops, and trying to get back into his car, where he might have had another weapon. Completely justified use of deadly force.
I wonder at what point in the traffic stop the “outstanding bench warrant for attempted armed robbery” would pop up on the computer / communications console in the cop car?

The system was already rather weak but then once Covid and the Summer of Floyd began, this really tipped the scales and prosecutors declared that it was a Jubilee Year for criminals. (BTW, it wasn’t just Floyd or just Covid – it was both.) They did everything but open the gates to all of the prisons (that part comes later in the Revolution). So there are now thousands of guys like Daunte that are out on the streets rather than in jail awaiting trial and crime is up 30, 40, 50%.
In the past when the pendulum swung a little too far to the Left, it was the nature of our system to self correct – at the next election the prosecutors who were a little too soft on crime got booted out on their asses and “law and order” type prosecutors elected. But our society may be too far gone for that – there are places now where the majority of the electorate may LIKE the new system from now on. Yes it means that you may get carjacked more often but OTOH your keeds who are doing the carjacking won’t have to go to jail. And for a certain number of whites, the cure for all those crime statistics that show that blacks are responsible for a disproportionate share of crime is to stop arresting black people.
The fact that these kind of policies are proven NOT to work makes absolutely no difference to some people. Apparently the voters of Peru are about to elect a guy who has promised to make Peru more like Cuba and Venezuela. You would think that anyone in their right mind would not want their country to be more like Cuba and Venezuela, both of which are economic basket cases (not to mention lacking in freedom) but you would be wrong. “The last shall be first” sounds like a really good idea if you are in the current group of losers.

A car CAN be a deadly weapon, but most often it isn't. (and cops have been abusing that trope too long, imo to justify some iffy shootings). IF he had already run someone over and then he was trying to get away then they could plausibly make the claim but what you write can be said of anyone running away.
Anyone could be running to somewhere to pull out a hidden gun.
Anyone who gets away could get into a car and then run people down (or release anthrax into the the water supply or build a nuclear bomb)
It is not reasonable to assume that they will do so. Do you have have any recent cases in mind that support the view that it would be legal and within regulations for police to use deadly force in this situation ?Replies: @Anonymous, @petit bourgeois, @anonymous
the leftist rioting is preferable to peaceful protests because it scares Americans causing centrists to reject and the leftists dogma and BLM agenda. If the protests were actually peaceful then the BLM movement would be stronger than it is today with more support from moderate whites.
Because the Limeys have actual journalists, at least for now. We don’t have those anymore in the U.S.
I think what we’re not understanding is that blacks resist arrest and run because it has a high probability of success. They’ve probably done it multiple times in the past and gotten away with it due to lazy/fat/clock-punching cops. You just keep trying to get away and for the most part it works right until it doesn’t work.
So, yes in this case Wright had a warrant for a violent felony and knew the stakes were high if he was cuffed and booked, but others may resist arrest and run for much less serious crimes simply because it can work out for them.
They should also be able to tell the difference between their guns and teasers, or they should not be allowed to carry either.Replies: @Anonymous, @Ron Mexico, @anonymouseperson
Your post was hilarious. Probably unwittingly but thanks sport.
I can’t understand why any white person would want to be a cop today. Unless you work in rural Nebraska.
Royal retainers have bowed and scraped before their liege lords for millennia. And when the opportunity arose, they decapitated* them and took their place. It's called biding your time.
* A case in point would be Macrinus's relationship with Caracalla. In the Orient, Tokugawa Ieyasu had pledged fealty to Toyotomi Hideyoshi, his shogun. Once Toyotomi died, Tokugawa eliminated his entire clan and established his own shogunate. More often than not, outward deference is merely a put-on.
A new spin on the term “useful idiots”.
The “last time” whites abandoned inner cities, built Tudor castle modeled homes in circuitous, car-only neighborhoods without sidewalks, funded “good schools” with exorbitant property taxes that excluded would-be low income neighbors, and elected celebrity “law and order” prosecutors to stop black shenanigans at the County Line. For trying to avoid getting robbed or their daughters gang raped and murdered they were slandered as White Supremacists.
I don’t know that this is repeatable.
Is this the same John Cleese who recently contributed to the “money supply” of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in the form of a sketch of the Brooklyn Bridge?
The dude has a finely honed sense of humor.
One of the reasons the State Media chooses to cover this sort of thing is because they think it will convert people by engendering pity and outrage.
The female cop made a fatal error and should have to suffer the consequences. But the “victim” was a career criminal, known to be armed, who resisted arrest and as a result suffered an unsurprising consequence.
If the State Media wants me to pity the victim, he needs to be somewhat sympathetic. It’s almost as if there aren’t any of those.
Daunte? Hm…..no, definitely not this guy:
Am I mistaken or has no one mentioned the very similar case of a cop mistaking his Gun for his Taser in the Oakland Emeryville BART shooting of a few years ago? In that case a young cop was told to subdue a a group of obstreperous black youth and pulled out what he thought was his Taser but was his service revolver. He shot the handcuffed black guy under bright lights in front of many witnesses some of which were filming the action.
He like this female cop immediately screamed something like “Oh my God”.
Restores my faith in divine guidance.
Trayvon was not killed by a cop.
“She knew this and did not intend to shoot him but she confused her gun for her Taser.”
This is speculation; we don’t know this for a fact. We haven’t heard the officer speak yet. Could be she said, “Taser, taser,” and then changed her mind in that split second when she saw him reach for something in his car.
So many fairytales: the young man got pulled over because he displayed an air freshener in his back window, he didn’t know there were warrants out for his arrest (I’m sure he knew that when they were attempting to handcuff him), Black don’t continually attempt to flee, Saint Floyd couldn’t have died from a drug overdose, and on and on.
Let’s hear what happened first.
She drew the pistol between the two warnings of "i'll tase you" and she is already on target with the gun when calling out "Taser! Taser! Taser!"
In that same video she is clearly shocked at having shot him.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKZ72LUqZ8YReplies: @Paperback Writer, @Thomasina
Too bad we can no longer shoot fleeing felons. It would simplify this.
But in 2021, it’s beyond crazy to pull that kind of stunt just for shits and giggles — ESPECIALLY with black people. Every one of my LEO relatives has said as much. They are all terrified of becoming Derek Chauvin 2.0.
So my baseline assumption is that if these cops pulled over a black guy and started getting aggressive with him, they probably had a very good reason for doing so. On the other hand, they might just be thick-skulled thugs who don’t understand the New Dispensation...
Well, it doesn’t matter. Either way, we’re all doomed... ;)Replies: @Jack D, @Paperback Writer
Watch the video – they weren’t being aggressive or thuggish with him at all, until he jumped back in the car and tried to drive away.
I know it’s an old fashioned notion but they were just trying to do their jobs. You’re right though that it’s becoming increasingly clear to the cops that actually doing their jobs is a really bad idea – might get you in big trouble if you make a mistake and cops are just human and sometimes make mistakes. You could lose your job, have your house burned down, be sent to prison. Eating donuts carries no such risk.
So right now the cops have every incentive to keep their interactions with blacks to a minimum and their donut eating to a maximum. Of course crime will go up as a result, but that’s not their problem – they are just responding to the incentives and disincentives that society imposes on them. They are just working zhlubs that want to go home tonight and tomorrow night and they will do whatever gives them the best chance of doing so. If they have to choose between the good of their family and the good of society, they’re going to pick their family every time.
I’ve noticed in my area that since Covid and the Summer of Floyd there are now tons of cars driving around with lights out – one headlight, one tail light, etc. Apparently the local cops have gotten the message.
She knew this and did not intend to shoot him but she confused her gun for her Taser which apparently happens fairly often - there have been maybe a dozen such incidents in the last couple of decades. The mayor of Brooklyn Center meeting with 'peaceful protestors' while wearing a ballistic helmet.

Now, in fairness, I understand what the mayor is doing with his wording, he's saying that he spoke to actual peaceful protestors (Who, from the looks of them look local and black and not thrill seeking middle class white antifa out to attack police stations.) but it's still amazing that he kept his ballistic helmet on for this photo, (It's actually amazing that a mayor was just walking around in a ballistic helmet at all) unless he really was in fear even then. I understand what he is saying and think Andy Ngo is unfair in his criticism. I think it's highly likely these people were peaceful protestors and his wording make it clear he was obliquely referencing the other, not peaceful protestors.

The White woman hating MEN OF UNZ will be happy to know that White woman Officer Potter was charged with 2 nd degree manslaughter with a penalty of 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.
The White women hating MEN OF UNZ will also be happy to know that White man officer Shetsky who killed Jacob Blake of Kenosha WI *has been exonerated and is back at work.
Kenosha, another wonderful White town destroyed by blacks.
MN has legal formulae for setting criminal fines and how proceeds from such fines are to be distributed.
Expired car registration is a low-level misdemeanor. The base fine is ~ $52. The state’s general fund gets 1/3* of that. Then there’s a $75 “surcharge”. That goes entirely to the GF.
Typically, HALF of the GF goes to public education.
[* Should the driver fight the ticket in court (and lose), then the whole $52 goes to the GF. The distinction is involvement of a government lawyer-prosecutor.
Therefore, in a manslaughter case, the entire fine flows into the GF.]
Should the officer get slapped with the $20,000, maximum fine, the schools will receive a $10K payday.
The cops are glorified tax collectors for the schools. By the (real) standards of private sector cost accounting, fines (revenue) should have proper bookkeeping for costs.
For example, a $10,000 “sale” should show at least some of the “expenses” of the criminal trial. $46 of school “income” from an uncontested, expired registration ticket should show the expenses of the cop’s (ticket writer) time, the court clerk, etc.
But by the trickery of public sector accounting, NONE of those costs get attributed to public education spending.
Darn near the entire cost of the traffic court system should count as public education spending.

The notion is starting to form in my mind that, as far gone as some Americans now are, as evidenced by this brilliantly satirical nugget, only defeat in a major war or even foreign invasion will serve to dislodge our current nutcase elites. I can see a time coming where, for Core Americans, defeat of America in a major war may be the least-worst option.
You go to a party…stay there all night…then rob the host at gun point? My guess is this party was given by white girls who didn’t have the gumption to tell the black guys to get lost. They wouldn’t sleep with them, though, so they got robbed as punishment.
How far into a hypothetical future can the average young black guy put himself? I’m thinking it’s somewhere around 90 minutes.

It’s been announced that Officer Potter has been charged with second-degree manslaughter by the Dakota County Attorney’s office.
Precisely. Gunfights don’t happen that often on the beat, and the frequency is directly proportional to the diligence and raw physical courage of the cops in question. Why court trouble and stop a black motorist? Stop a non-black one and stay out of trouble.
For cops who take their oaths seriously, and seek to protect rather than just record homicide stats, gunfights can break out and end very quickly. In this encounter, 54 rounds were fired in 56 seconds, with the perp firing 21 of them.

More tales from the Probation Department. Back in the day when welfare checks were checks and food stamps were little ticket things, here’s what happened to a victim of one of my guys.

Wait … WHAT?

As I mentioned in an earlier thread, y’all need to read Plumhoff v. Rickard:
https://www.oyez.org/cases/2013/12-1117
This shooting was totally justified, according to the Supreme Court.
Reading about this, the facts of Plumhoff_v._Rickard appear relevantly different though in that the suspect had demonstrated a significant amount of dangerous behavior, including aggressive driving around dismounted cops, and hitting other cars before anyone started shooting at him. the distinction i'm drawing seems well in line with the currently controlling use of force against people running away from cops (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fleeing_felon_rule)

As bad as the outcome of the Tulsa case is (and it’s awful), the cops didn’t shoot the guy for refusing to get out of the car, and, like with Daunte, afaik American police use of force doctrine and the courts would not have supported their doing so before he threatened them with a gun.

I don’t think the ban on references to the Daily Mail as a source in Wikipedia still exists.
However if you want to know what’s going on in the world and see plenty of pictures, you will get most of the main stories in The Daily Mail or Mail Online written in a lively fashion. The sports reporting is also quite good.
I have repeatedly advocated in the past that Ben & Jerry’s is the perfect target for a total boycott. They need to be driven into total bankruptcy by a consumer boycott. I’ve had some people tell me that Walmart should be boycotted. While I can agree that the pampered children of Sam Walton definitely deserve to be sent to the poorhouse, it’s not that easy. A lot of people live in areas where Walmart is the most obvious choice of location for buying essential supplies. But Ben & Jerry’s definitely is a business which people can do without. If that slimy racket were boycotted out of business from coast to coast then it would also help to send a message to the scum of the Walton family.

penalty of 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.

Because we are civilized we have a larger process to make sure the cops aren't running amok. Making a mistake isn't running amok.
Police are supposed to use force and/or violence to enforce the law. They have an official protocol governing that. Cops aren’t supposed to use lethal force on fleeing suspects. They are supposed to use violence. And if they don’t use violence, they aren’t doing the job that the city and the people of the city want them to do.
The cop here made an honest mistake. It cost Daunte Wright his life. Daunte Wright deserved fair consequences for his crimes, he didn’t do anything so terrible as to deserve the death penalty. No police system will be perfect. I’m sympathetic with both sides.
I’m sympathetic with the cop who is going to get crucified for an honest mistake. I’m sympathetic for the family of Daunte Wright that had their family member killed by law enforcement without getting a fair trial. He wasn’t completely innocent. The cops didn’t kill him for nothing, he has some culpability. But no judge would have prescribed death and he got worse than he deserved.
In fact, it looks like he was something of a young thug.
The cops still shouldn’t have executed him for fleeing arrest.
Good thing they didn't do that.

He does seem like a thug. He committed crimes and he deserves fair consequences for those crimes. But he didn’t commit any crime deserving of the death penalty. He got a worse consequence than he deserved, and that isn’t fair. The justice system can’t be perfect, of course, but this specific man got worse than he deserved.
She shouldn't have done that and the other cop should not have let her (maybe he's incompetent too?)
Its all on her body cam video.Replies: @Anonymous
Nope. The other officer was a trainee and was having a lot of difficulty working the cuffs on his own. So she reached in to help stabilize the suspect’s hands so the officer could have freer use of one of his hands to get the cuffs on.
He may not have “deserved” to die. Nonetheless, the officer was completely justified in using her firearm against him. Both statements can be true.
In this scenario, standard police procedure doesn't allow lethal force on a fleeing suspect who isn't posing immediate harm to others. The cop herself never argued that lethal force was justified, she argued she just made a mistake in applying force. And I do have sympathy for a cop who is tasked with the use of violence, and some human error is inevitable.
Because if a day of reckoning arrives, the security services might be involved in some form or fashion. It wasn’t rhetoric alone that helped Yeltsin overcome the Communist Party. It helped that he was one of the nomenklatura. The people who assisted him were part of the Red Army. Many such turning points involve force or the threat of force. That’s where cops and soldiers come in. It’s either impose your will or have someone else’s will imposed upon you.
Royal retainers have bowed and scraped before their liege lords for millennia. And when the opportunity arose, they decapitated* them and took their place. It’s called biding your time.
* A case in point would be Macrinus’s relationship with Caracalla. In the Orient, Tokugawa Ieyasu had pledged fealty to Toyotomi Hideyoshi, his shogun. Once Toyotomi died, Tokugawa eliminated his entire clan and established his own shogunate. More often than not, outward deference is merely a put-on.
Both statements could be true in a different scenario.

But at some point cops have to be able to kill, because the worst people in society study exactly where that point is, and they drive trucks through your protocols. A cop who is defeated by running away is stealing his paycheck and the law itself is defeated with him.
I completely agree that it was a mistake. The cop used her lethal gun instead of a less lethal taser by accident.
The cop was supposed to execute a forceful arrest and it was her job to use force. I'm sympathetic with the cop and with Daunte Wright. Daunte Wright committed wrongs, but nothing so terible as to deserve the death penalty.Replies: @J.Ross
No, he wasn’t executed, and if you use the term “death penalty” (the planned end of an artificial, rule-governed process) then you are admitting that your opinion is wrong. Cops and homeowners can kill people behaving a certain way. This must be. If it is forbidden it will happen anyway because it must. The death penalty is the ceremonial end to a totally artificial process of rituals governed and effected by specialist experts taking pains to follow rules and include information. It is if anything an opposite to a cop reacting.
