CCZ transcribes:

His words just before he says “…this country is doomed” are key and the full sentence is basically typical diversity, inclusion, equity Biden. Full text with no editing begins at 1:14:25

“If we cannot make significant progress on racial equity, this country is doomed. It is doomed. Not just because of African-Americans, but because by 2040 [sic] this country is going to be minority white European. You hear me? Minority white European, and you guys are going to have to start working more with Hispanics, who make up a larger portion of the population than y’all do.”

Inquiring Mind adds:

In context, and run through the Universal Biden Translator (a gadget on Star Trek), he is saying that the demographic shift means that Blacks are going to have to extract their Racial Equity from Browns instead of from whom they were getting their R-E-S-P-E-C-T along with C-A-S-H, doing this was going to be really difficult, and Blacks were going to have to make nice with Browns because as you say, the guilt-thing doesn’t work on Browns.

  1. Looking at the people in this zoom meeting, I see that this is not my country.

  2. There are many different ways of looking at this, and in each Biden looks like a perfect ass. Either, “You will have to beg from Hispanics and not just whites,” or “You will have to team up with Hispanics against whites,” or “You will have to sit at the back of the bus if any Hispanics get on,” or “We are engaged in a more important battle, white genocide, and your time is past, so sit down (at the back) and shut up,” or “I am exactly the daft evil decrepit kiddy-diddling fool everyone paying attention thought I was, and oops I crapped my pants,” Etc.

  3. Joe was very presidential in this. When America finally balkanizes, I expect him to be established in the large Chinese puppet state that will be centered around SoCal and Cascadia. He will lead the west to a technofuturist glory while all the icky southerners and flyover staters live in pure barbarism.

  4. It’s gonna be a fun four years…
Sleepy Joe was never much for spouting PC platitudes, and now cognitive decline means he has that senior thing for not being able to filter his words.

Fun to think about how Trump is a racist Nazi, but Biden just literally said America is doomed because its white population is declining. That’s David Duke level. Can you imagine the firestorm if any Republican had said that?

One final minor point. It’s gotta be at least a mesoaggression for Biden to use black dialect when speaking to blacks, but not other races. Biden is not a southerner and never says y’all when speaking to other races. No ones gonna call out Joe on that?

  5. I’d bet that everyone on that call was asking themselves “how soon can we get rid of this guy and put Harris in charge?”

The Twelve-Mile Circle cuts not only into the Commonwealth, but into bits of Jersey as well:

New Jersey has fought for the land three times and argued about having autonomy over it. The three disputes were all handled by the Supreme Court and each time, New Jersey lost.

Most recently, in 2008, the argument was over New Jersey’s plans to have British Petroleum build a pipeline and the only two justices to side with New Jersey were Antonin Scalia and Samuel Alito Jr., who were born in the state.

As expected, Joe Biden has revealed himself as the only non-cucked disinhibited shot-caller in the media. That’s why virtually every Legacy WASP with roots in this country voted for him. He’s one of us. He’s what Trump wanted to be. Anybody who picked Trump over Biden is an
Irish-Italian-Mexican methhead/black. No sober American with legally established ancestral roots in early United States history voted for Trump.
    Trump was the IMMIGRANT CANDIDATE.

The country is doomed. Its over. Time to ditch the Civnat fantasies Steve and get with the program.

Whites are already a discriminated minority in this country if you count the illegals and various other non-counted such as H1 Bs and so on. AT BEST Whites can look forward to Uighur style concentration camps where we provide high IQ skilled slave labor for the 65 IQ Africans, 70 IQ black Americans, and 85 IQ Mestizos. Unless we make ourselves a giant pain in the ass and show we can shut the infrastructure down permanently if we don’t get our share.

You don’t honestly think Indians and Chinese came here to WORK do you? No one can be that naive.

Look at what the threat of black riots did — Roberts caved and panicked like the true cuck he is and denies Texas and the other states standing. Black people rioting always gets results. As do Muslims flying planes into buildings and shooting people. We can’t afford violence as of course the Big Shots were on the side of Muslims flying planes into buildings and black riots.

But imagine if there was a series of Jose Bovee truck dumps of stuff in major arteries in major cities — every single weekday. Imagine of the fiber gets cut, over and over, to all those data centers. Imagine if the power keeps going out, over and over again, in major cities. Imagine Chicago without power for a week. Its easy if you try goes the song. And we can demand with BLM that every exec at Google, Apple, Microsoft, etc, are black. I’d sleep a lot easier frankly if they were black not South Asian. Or Chinese.

This country cannot run without 85% Whites and that is that. blacks are a dead weight, sure they produce “sexy” thugs and the best basketball dunkers, drug dealers, and rappers grabbing their crotch but they cannot keep infrastructure going let alone build new stuff and improve the old stuff. Indians are only capable of producing the world’s most shambolic nuclear power, and the Chinese all cheat other never mind outsiders. Chinese society was once described as a basket of knives all cutting each other and that’s a good analogy. “Sell poison infant formula for a quick profit? What a great idea!”

So time to cut the Civic Nationalism and in fact, the civic and nationalism part altogether. There is no America. Just a place on the map. Whites have a collective racial interest and identity and must fight for it. To carve out our own part of this place on the map and create our own society. It will hardly be perfect (just look at White history) but it will at least be ours. And that’s the only way to avoid being exterminated or bred as a hereditary high tech slave class.

If we cannot make significant progress on racial equity, this country is doomed. It is doomed. Not just because of African-Americans, but because by 2040 [sic] this country is going to be minority white European.

Let’s have a look at some recent stats/predictions:

The U.S. Census Bureau has just released its last batch of race-ethnic population estimates in advance of the 2020 census, with data indicating that the national headcount will reveal a more diverse nation than was previously expected. The new estimates show that nearly four of 10 Americans identify with a race or ethnic group other than white, and suggest that the 2010 to 2020 decade will be the first in the nation’s history in which the white population declined in numbers.

The new data shows that, by 2019, the white population share declined nearly nine more percentage points, to 60.1%.

Most noteworthy is the increased diversity in the younger portion of the population. In 2019, for the first time, more than half of the nation’s population under age 16 identified as a racial or ethnic minority. Among this group, Latino or Hispanic and Black residents together comprise nearly 40% of the population.

Even this relatively small white population decline represents a significant demographic marker. First, if the data is confirmed in the full 2020 census, the 2010 to 2020 decade would be the first decade since the first census was taken in 1790 when the white population did not grow. White population gains in recent decades have grown smaller over time, from 11.2 million between 1970 and 1980 down to 2.8 million between 2000 and 2010. But a white population loss between 2010 and 2020 would be unprecedented.

While a white growth decline could be anticipated, it was accentuated in the past few years by a reduction of births among young adult white women (likely a delayed reaction to the Great Recession) and an uptick in deaths, perhaps associated with drug-related “deaths of despair.”

Delaware hasn’t much of a perimeter, but all her land borders have names– what other state can say that? The Mason-Dixon is what’s between the Wedge and the Transpeninsular Line. East of the Wedge is the Twelve-Mile Circle.

Technically, the Wedge is the area that belongs to Delaware that falls outside the Twelve-Mile Circle — immediately West of it — and is South of the parallel that marks the Pennsylvania-Maryland border, while being to the East of the approximately North-South line that marks, for a short distance, the border with Maryland — part of the Mason-Dixon Line, referred to as the North Line. (Note that after the second, southernmost intersection of the North Line with the Twelve-Mile Circle, the Maryland-Delaware border “bends” to the East, no longer being a North-South line).

Additionally, while not being visible in the Delaware maps I carefully scrutinized, as the Twelve-Mile Circle crosses the aforementioned North Line and, at that point, land that falls inside the Circle is to belong to Delaware, a nameless feature (a ”bulge”) should be formed, consisting of portions of Delaware that are to the West of the North Line. (The border, not the area, at that location is referred to as the Arc Line). Whether that is actually the case is unknown to me. The remaining milestones of the Mason-Dixon Line could help settle whether the Arc Line really defines part of the Maryland-Delaware border to this day.

I think it’s a bit of depressing time for these professional blacks. (I.e. folks who are black for a living.)

Blacks absolutely bailed out Biden’s lame, geriatric candidacy. The Biden ran up the “racial justice” and Trump the racist/fascist flag and blacks indeed delivered for him (with a little “encouragement” to get those ballots in).

Then … Biden signals pretty clearly whose puppet he really is and appoints Jew after Jew after Jew and generally makes it clear Jewish capital has their man and the “racial justice” stuff is for the back burner.

I have little doubt that the smarter Jews running the joint have looked at the data and realized that making themselves “the Black Party” was a mistake. And that it’s only because Trump is Trump–an undisciplined, mediocre communicator–and listened to his genius son-in-law and failed to run against “the Black party” and the Democrats’ riots that Biden was able to eke out a victory even with the media’s full-press, in-the-tank campaign of lies and distortion.

So now Biden’s telling the professional blacks that they won’t get to drive the “diversity” shakedown bus much longer … may even have to sit in the back!

You think you’re just scored the winning touchdown in the Super Bowl and are set to hoist the trophy and cash your check … and wake up to find out you’re just working on the Jews’ plantation … and have to share your hut with some wetbacks! Damn! Diversity’s a bitch!

Biden could support investing that money into a Sovereign Negro Wealth Fund, which pays blacks an annual dividend based on returns from investments. Blacks, Jews, Asiatics, even most Hispanics — city people. And the cities are dying, irreversibly. Of course they are fighting for the spoils of a Biden/Harris administration. Since it’s life or death (economically, which is real living and breathing life or death) the fight will continue long past any hope of economic return to the fighters. This consequence of a Democrat Administration have been obvious for several years now.

If you’re not in the city, your game is rope-a-dope — defense until the city groups exhaust one another.

    Delaware is a bizarre place

It was the last state to carry out judicial floggings, early 1950s, when Joe Biden was a kid, lashes at the whipping post, seriously

It was one of the two last states to use the barbaric execution method of strangulation by hanging, in the 1990s, along with Washington State (the victim can be put into coma by neck-breaking during the drop, but this is not reliable, and in any case it can take between some minutes up to nearly an hour to die at the end of the rope)

Joe Biden advanced the whole long-prison-sentence plus execution barbarisms in the past, furthering USA executions revived after the 1967-77 moratorium, but ol’ Joe says he is against the death penalty now

Note also the apocalyptic thinking around the subject — Biden essentially announcing that a White minority country is doomed. He’s hit his 50th year in public office and blathers on about fixing racial problems that have seemingly gotten worse. He’s become a Hitler in the bunker, putting together corps and armies of spent units; ordering them into grand pincer movements where they are outnumbered 10 to 1, while blaming others for all the non-results.

Hispanics will be demanding their fair share of what public sector jobs remain and because of their superior work ethic already are dominating the sort of low skill level private sector employment blacks historically held.

Negroes have become surplus to the American economy and the Federal government doesn’t have the resources to both provide for 40 plus million negro supernumeraries AND pay for Social Security/Medicare. Since the latter is an obligation and the former a benefit guess which will be cut?

Delaware was a slave state, though it did not have many enslaved blacks and never seceded. Accordingly, the Emancipation Proclamation never applied there – it had effect only in areas that were ‘in rebellion.’ Slavery persisted in Delaware until the ratification of the 13th Amendment.

The tiny bit of Delaware that is attached to NJ is only partially related to the Twelve Mile Circle but mainly with the fact that Delaware owns the entire bed of the Delaware River all the way to the (original) low tide line within the circle. As between PA and DE, DE owns all the LAND within 12 mile circle but as between NJ and DE, DE does not own any of the upland within the circle, only the part that was (originally) part of the riverbed. But any land that has been added by filling in the original riverbed, even on the NJ side of the river, accretes to Delaware.

Ownership of most rivers is divided equally between the bordering states but Delaware owns the entire bed of the river within the Twelve Mile Circle based upon the original royal grant. However, once you get south of the 12 mile circle NJ and Delaware share ownership of Delaware according to the usual rule. AFAIK, this is the only relevance of the southern half of the 12 mile circle.

Weakening “white supremacy” isn’t in our interest either. Because the alternative on offer to white supremacy isn’t some kind of liberal universalist utopia. It’s another kind of supremacy. And I’ll take white supremacy over black supremacy or Muslim supremacy any day.

I think Jewish support for black civil rights wasn’t necessarily due to particular sentimentality for blacks but was incidental. Jews supported general anti-discrimination and minority rights, and blacks happened to be the largest minority group present, so any movement would involve them.

Needless to say, I don’t think there is a 3D chess Jooish conspiracy to use blacks as the cat’s paw of the Jew-Bolshevik takeover, as others are breathlessly proclaiming, but I think it is a little bit more than what you are saying.

A mostly forgotten (and often vigorously denied here) aspect of the pre-1964 system was that not only blacks but also Jews were discriminated against. (That it is denied is a tribute to the Jew’s great success – people in 2020 find it literally inconceivable that Jews in America, so prominent today, were once the underdogs) Now discrimination against Jews was never as bad or pervasive as anti-black discrimination (Jews fell on the “white” side of the color line legally speaking) but neither was it solely confined to keeping Jews out of just a handful elite golf clubs either. Anti-Jewish discrimination existed in real estate covenants, it existed in employment, it existed in hotels and resorts, it existed in college admissions. Jews thrived despite the discrimination by doing things like setting up their own law firms when the white shoe firms would not hire them. This is not to say that the US was Nazi Germany but under the ethos of the time many Christians felt that they had every right to privately discriminate against Jews if they so desired and they did so desire (some people here STILL believe this). So it was in Jews own self interest to outlaw racial or religiously based discrimination and their interests were aligned somewhat, at least originally.

Now the parting of the ways of Jews and blacks came quite early – for example the 1968 Oceanhill-Brownsville school controversy in NY which brought a black nationalist local school board up against a largely Jewish group of school teachers whose jobs they craved for their buddies. But originally there was a unity of interests.

Diaspora Jews are progressive because they’re overwhelmingly urban and of the professional class.

Blacks are center left to progressive because they’re broke and don’t really have a value system outside of the mass American culture. Also the Black church doesn’t function as a reservoir of social conservatism as religion does for other culture. There’s no African-American tradition to really speak of.

They just happen to behave in certain ways over and over again – that’s called happenstance.

And gentiles just happen to behave in certain ways in response – that’s called anti-semitism.

Blacks are 9% of LA County. Nearly 1 million Blacks live in LA. They’re 7.2% of LA’s public school enrollment.

They’re being gentrified out of nice areas, but lots of them just move to other more affordable neighborhoods nearby.

  140. THIS COUNTRY IS DOOMED

I concede that predictions about the future are notoriously mistaken, but I surmise that the Biden election ushers in the final Brezhnev phase preceding our Soviet-style collapse.

    Observations:
    1. Antifa and Wall Street are united on open borders and fake justice.
    2. The Biden uniparty regime will turn on all immigration flows from day one – Mexican illegal, Central American caravan, refugees from anywhere, H2 white collar, H2 blue collar, eventually more legal (which stupid Rs will boost again to prove once again they’re not racist). Lots of sentimental virtue-mongering celebration over the onslaught by the monolithic megamedia.
    3. The Mexican cartels and the global labor contractors will provide tens of millions of new serfs each year to greedy American employers, competing to provide the most desperate willing to accept the worst conditions.
    4. “Lawfare” was refined as early as the 1980s (by the NIP-NLG and Ford Foundation) to undermine immigration enforcement, has steadily intensified since, and now will be applied with ferocity in the immigration realm (and restrictionists are organized to do about 1/20 of what expansionists do with the globalist bureaucracy and kritarchy).
    5. Immigration of any kind is irreversible in even weakly liberal regimes.
6 Migration begets migration (transport, communication cheapens, expanding family and enclave networks ease resettlement). Flows will accelerate and overshoot the capacity for civic order.
    7. Global high-tech firms will ensure that false information is not propagated, and that votes are counted securely. All foreigners will be made eligible to vote by no voter ID, mail ballots, harvesting, and the end of citizenship requirements.
    8. The entire country will remain bafflingly impassive and silent about a billionaire anarchist of foreign birth buying up attorneys general across the country in order to end enforcement of criminal law, organizing and funding race riots and violent street militias, and corrupting secretaries of state in order to rig elections.
    9. It’s already thought normal to remove American flags from schools in order not to “offend” “immigrants.” The experiment of abandoning even minimal patriotic unity has failed: China easily slipped around our costly military juggernaut and is buying off our political, business, and science elites with petty bribery.
    10. Thus, left and right populism are locked out, and uniparty woke capitalism is entrenched, until regime collapse.
    11. There will be regime collapse because mass immigration, mass outsourcing, fanatical disparatarianism, abolition of merit, destruction of the family, end of patriotism, street militias, abolition of police and prisons, and “reparations” are certain not to yield beneficial economic or social results. But failures will be blamed on the devilish power of systemic racism, and there will be ever more destructive doublings down prior to collapse.

It’s not just illegal immigration. I was less upset about the 1986 amnesty than the elder Bush’s expansion of legal immigration – which, cumulated over time, burst an already fragile civic unity. Back in the 90s, with mass immigration and outsourcing, I began to think of my former home as Motel America: anybody can check in, wreck the place, and skip out on the bill. The next shock was China’s accession to the WTO in 2001. My first thought was, Isn’t this treason? But I felt crazy because no one else seemed to think it would be any kind of problem. Then the lies of 911. At that point I started thinking of my ruined home as Carcass America — ripped wide open and gnawed at by global predators of several varieties –vulture, hyena, worm, fly, bacterium.

I still hoped that people would come to see the causes of their immiseration. The imperfect Trump took office because half the country stopped buying the lie that our lives had been improving for 25 years. But that half now will now become the domestic enemy in a privatized for-profit, neoMcCarthyite cleansing. Google AI will identify enemies of the people and rank them by seriousness of evil; Facebook and Twitter will out, target, and dox them with coordinated sessions of hate; Open-Society lynch mobs will torch their homes and publicly behead the most hated “racists.”

Collapse doesn’t mean extinction. I’ve traveled in some of the poorest countries on earth. People die a whole lot more, and have almost no wealth or opportunities, yet they get by and many of their days are happy. Life in the American future will be impoverished in many ways. Younger generations in Yglesia will have little knowledge of what once was and no idea of what might have been. They will be taught that the present time is the greatest, and the past was hellish oppression, from 2008 back to the founding of agriculture 5000 years ago.

Oh, and “Merry Christmas!” will be officially classified as hate speech.

“Better than anybody else,” Biden replied. “And you don’t know my state. My state was a slave state. My state is a border state. My state is the eighth-largest black population in the country. My state is anything from a northeast, liberal state.”

According to The State’s preeminent political reporter, Lee Bandy, here’s part of what Joe Biden said to his audience at Columbia Rotary Club.:

“I want to thank you all for allowing me a trip here to speak to only Republicans. It’s like my hometown. I just won every district in my state except the one I live in,” he quipped.

Trump is a “new American”. His mother moved here from northern Scotland in the 20th century. The northern Scottish, like the Icelandic people they are related to, all have Irish maternal and even Irish paternal lines, and unlike the Irish Joe Biden descendends from, these Irish ancestors were pure, early medieval stock brought north by the Vikings, and also the Dal Riata invasions which had already spread Irish genetic matetial across northwestern Scotland. Trump is essentially more Irish than Biden. Which is plain to see, as Trump looks like a mick – unlike Biden, who looks Anglo.

Trump’s German ancestors are post-1850s migrants and presumably have a lot of Jew admixture, like most Germans from Rhineland do.

As for religion, there is no behavioral evidence that Trump is a faithful adherent to any religious sect. He could best be described as an atheist who worships Catholic and Jewish humans. He made the supreme court more Catholic than ever, and married his children off to Jews.

A mostly forgotten (and often vigorously denied here) aspect of the pre-1964 system was that not only blacks but also Jews were discriminated against. …

Death, taxes … and Jewish minoritarian whining are the eternals.

For 1000+ years, Jews have insisted on living in the gentiles’ nations to middle man them while refusing to integrate.

Jewish business networks, discrimination against gentiles, Jewish social networks, bans on association with gentiles, bans on marrying gentiles — Jews bravely preserving their heritage and culture, against the gentile heathen.

Gentile business networks, discrimination against Jews, Gentile social networks, non-association with Jews, disapproval of marrying Jews — anti-Semitism!

Seriously, your people refused to integrate with the people around them, in favor of keeping their own special “chosen people” outgroup hostile tribe for a 1000 years. What do you expect? Brotherly love? A party?

I realize that to a Jew minoritarianism is just “how it must be”. (“We do what we want … and the gentiles must treat us like we’re just one of the boys.”) But actually in a free nation, people conduct their private affairs how they wish, with whom they wish. If you don’t like the behavior of people toward you … look in the mirror.

And you just can’t stop, can you? Whining about discrimination in the US? Seriously?

Perhaps no people in the world have treated a tribal middle man minority–a religiously hostile one at that–as nicely as good old American gentiles have treated the Jews.

“Bob Dylan-style lyrics are dead easy.
    Talk about money for nothin’!”

Mark Knopfler dig aside, don’t sell yourself short. There are imitations that build on, and effectively pay homage to, the original (the Tubes’ “Don’t Touch Me There,” an over-the-top tribute to Phil Spector’s Wall of Sound, fittingly arranged by Spector protégé Jack Nitzsche).

Then there are those with the inadvertent effect of making you go back to the original with renewed appreciation: every time I hear the Spencer Davis Group’s “Gimme Some Lovin’,” no matter how soulful Steve Winwood’s young voice is, I just want to get out my Sam & Dave, Otis Redding and Booker T. & the M.G.’s records. Like Charles Mingus said in a somewhat different context, “If Charlie Parker Were A Gunslinger, There’d Be A Whole Lot of Dead Copycats.”

As for Dylan, he’s in a different league: he’s been lampooned by so many, for so long, that it’s not even a venial sin anymore. (Remember Mouse, “A Public Execution,” from the original Nuggets double LP? Or the priceless signoff on the National Lampoon “Lemmings” album, “well, time for my bootheels to be wandering…”?) On his most recent album, he’s taken to channeling Walt Whitman, if you can believe it.

So by all means, give it to The Bobster with both barrels: he’s a big girl now, so he can take it. He can’t help it if he’s lucky.

  165. @Jack D

BTW, Jack, just to be clear, while i think American Jews whining is laughable–and classless–i basically accept your point about the Jewish political orientation stripped down to its basics:

Jews are a minority. So they push an ideology–minoritarianism–where minorities are normative, the standard of value and ideally beyond criticism and to be protected by the state, while majorities are oppressive, suspect (if not outright evil) and must be constrained by the state.

So American Jews have worked against our Constitution, majority rule, federalism, normal Anglo-Saxon liberties, like freedom of association and for a system of elite control–judicial supremacy, bureaucratic and federal control–with minoritarianism as the guiding principle. (That unfairly burdens X or Y or Z–Jews, blacks, muslims, immigrants, women, Spanish speakers, LBGQWERTY …)

This would be unpleasant enough in itself. But the kicker has been the whole “must have immigrants!” trope to basically drown the white gentile majority. I.e. destroy the white gentile majority so there won’t be a majority to contend with.

    Nasty stuff.

And finally–there is no excuse for this behavior anymore.

Israel exists now. The whole 2000 year diaspora thing is over. If Jews don’t want to integrate with and be loyal to the people of the nation they are in … then just ‘effing make aliyah already. There is no excuse making a home in a nation whose people you are not loyal to, just to make a few more bucks middle manning those people, than you could in the Jewish homeland.

Pick a nation and be loyal to that nation’s people.

Keep in mind there are two very different types of Jews. Western European and the Eastern European Ashkenazis. The latter has a spectacular range of nut jobs and PITAs (pain in the ass) organizations/individuals ranging from Feminist Trotskyites to Hasidic Rabbis.

Probably one of my favorite books on “East Side vs. East Side” tensions between those two groups is in this biography on Robert Oppenheimer.

And yet, despite regarding himself as neither German nor Jewish, Oppenheimer was seen, by Jews and non-Jews alike, as a “German Jew.” In New York in the early twentieth century the central division among the Jewish community was between, on the one hand, the German Jews and, on the other, the Polish and Russian Jews—the differences between the two groups accurately mirrored by the differences between Oppenheimer and Rabi. The German Jews, sometimes called “Uptown Jews,” were on the whole wealthier, more assimilated and less religious than their Polish and Russian counterparts, to whom they were notoriously condescending.

At the time of Oppenheimer’s birth in 1904 there were more Polish and Russian Jews in New York than German Jews, but the Germans assumed leadership of the Jewish community and took it upon themselves to help “Americanize” the Russians and Poles, who reacted with resentment at what they saw as a dismissal of their religion and their customs.

The book has a lot more info but they often just hated each other. The New York Sephardim and German Jews tried blocking the immigration of Russian Ashkenazis in the 1890s but eventually lost that fight. They tried because the Ashkenazis wouldn’t assimilate while doing stereotypical crap that angered Gentiles and festered antagonism against all Jews.

LOL Jack, this doesn’t even rise to the level “lawyering”.

Jews were treated very well in the United States, by any historical standard of one people treating a different people –particularly a people who specifically keep themselves ethno-religiously separate.

Jews were under absolutely no legal disability. They had no difficulty spreading out across the land to do their middle manning and rake in plenty of dough. Were immediately, admitted to the most elite WASPy universities–so much so the WASPs had to throw on quotas to keep their unis culturally Anglo-Protestant.

A “unity of interests” between blacks and Jews that required passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964? When Jews had already managed to establish their own law firms, country clubs (yes, the dreaded Golfocaust!) and other similar institutions, and when (in the aftermath of WWII) elite colleges and universities had lifted whatever quotas, formal or informal, that may have lingered on from pre-war times?

Sorry, not buying it. Jews had already “made it,” in Norman Podhoretz’s phrase. Blacks were still figuring out what “it” was, where “it’ was to be found, and to what extent whites could be shamed into giving up some of “it,” with the implicit threat of violence if “it” were not forthcoming.

Maybe some Jews thought they were fulfilling some kind of tikkun olam by supporting black civil rights and political aspirations. Perhaps they expected gratitude for their works. They forgot that no good deed ever goes unpunished.

Jews had all sorts of reasons for advocating in favor of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, including the reasons others supported the legislation (as set forth so ably in Christopher Caldwell’s The Age of Entitlement). That Barry Goldwater, whom almost no Jews publicly endorsed, opposed it is probably one such reason. But the notion that there was a “unity of interests” between blacks and Jews that compelled Jewish support for such sweeping legislation is absurd. We were long out of the ghettos by 1964. Mostly because the blacks had moved in.

Organizations are forced to err on the side of political correctness because civil rights law is fundamentally vague, even self-contradictory. Affirmative action at professional schools is defended on the grounds that minority populations are better served if they have doctors and lawyers who look like them. When Walgreens was found to be assigning black managers to stores in certain neighborhoods on the logic that black customers are better served by managers who look like them, the resulting anti-discrimination case cost the company $24 million to settle. When Ann Hopkins sued Price Waterhouse for sex discrimination for not making her a partner, the court found in Hopkins’s favor because the firm had ignored objective criteria, like dollar value of business brought in, in favor of subjective measures like personality. Last year, a judge upheld Harvard’s admissions policy against the lawsuit brought on behalf of rejected Asian applicants because she found that Harvard must be allowed to ignore objective criteria, like test scores, in favor of subjective measures like personality.

Race-conscious, colorblind, subjective, objective—the less consistent the law is, the more power left-wing activists have to define what the rules really are. The result is to keep ordinary citizens in a constant state of nervous deference. Even “speculating, wool-gathering, or talking off the cuff” was now legally risky, Caldwell writes.

I’d thought his Reflections on the Revolution in Europe
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reflections_on_the_Revolution_in_Europe

was quite good. But while i’ve a couple German friends, i’ve spent all of two months in Europe my entire life. My analysis of the disaster there is at quite a remove.

In contrast America, i know; the revolution has rolled out in front of me during my life. And from page one Age of Entitlement is on target. Caldwell’s the first person i’ve read who uses a word i thought i’d coined–minoritarianism. He’s seen the same identifiable ideology i see and tagged it the same way. And likewise Caldwell realizes that essentially we’ve had a coup. That there’s a replacement minoritarian–“Civil Rights”–constitution in place.

To me some of his early chapters were so spot on it was almost painful to read–for what we’ve lost, the damage done. (I confess i haven’t finished the book–i should dial back the iSteve and read more. And he probably can’t keep it up or come up with anything profound to say. But the first chapters are solid gold.)

And you get all this counter-minoritarianism from a thoroughly respectible guy–not some hick from the sticks–and without dwelling on the Jewish role in the revolution. It’s as respectible as counter-minoritarianism can get.

More seriously, i think it’s Jews who need to get their story straight.

Are you guys big swinging dicks? Or not?

A plausible one sentence statement of the AnotherDad position on the Jews:

Jews are the main creators of and have been at the forefront of pushing minoritarianism–and with it immigrationism–in America and from there out to the broader West, and have been strikingly successful since the rise of the Jews through America’s elite institutions in the 1960s

As i’ve noted in numerous comments Jews are hardly the only factor in the debacle. Government power, business, misplaced female nurturing and compliance, the Puritan tradition, Christianity, post-Christian virtue signaling, the softness of modern prosperity all factors and all working on the open NW Euro genotype of American whites. But nonetheless, i think it’s obvious Jews have been big drivers of the minoritarian ideology in government, academia, media and especially Hollyweird.

But posit this–the Jews outsized role–and you get some bizarre responses.

JackD’s is basically that Jews are highly involved just because Jews are high IQ and minoritarianism is the reigning ideology of the high IQ in America. (As if minoritarianism sprung up from WASPs enjoying a round at Waspy Acres County Club.) And that it’s laughable to suggest a teeny, tiny population group like the Jews could have such outsized influence.

Yet, maybe a day later–maybe only an hour–you’ll learn that the US was basically a pathetic backwater in 1900 before the Ashkenazi Jews started showing up in mass and by gosh, golly, you hayseeds are so darn lucky we Jews showed up to drag your sorry asses out of the dark ages, nuke the Japs, cure polio and win you some Nobel Prizes.

So which is it? Are you guys big swinging dicks or not?

Jews were under absolutely no legal disability.

the WASPs had to throw on quotas

More self-contradiction. Sure there was no LEGAL disability, just a practical disability. “I’m sorry Mr. Rabinowitz but the hotel is booked full up.” “Seymour is well qualified but we don’t think he is well rounded enough to be a Harvard man.” If you have to sleep in your car or your straight A’s kid can’t get into med school, what difference does it make whether it’s a LEGAL disability or not?

This is exactly why the Civil Rights Act was needed – even though Jews were under no LEGAL disability, Christians found ways to do end runs around existing law just as blacks were deprived of their voting rights in an end run around the post Civil War Constitutional Amendments (and Washington looked the other way). Housing covenants (“no tanneries, slaughterhouses or Jews”) arose as a result of legal decisions to the effect that you couldn’t pass laws zoning Jews out of your neighborhood. Since covenants were “private” they were OK. A shitton of discrimination went on under the umbrella of “no legal discrimination”. It was anti-American in spirit and it had to be stopped. You keep posing as the ultra-American but discrimination of this sort is the most UN-American thing that can be imagined. It played right into the hands of the Soviets because it exposed American exceptionalism as rank hypocrisy.

  192. Jack D says:
    @Gary in Gramercy

We were long out of the ghettos by 1964.

It wasn’t that long, nor was discrimination a dead letter. That Jews had their own clubs and law firms did not take away the sting that there were other clubs and law firms that still excluded Jews. And anti-Jewish discrimination in employment, college admissions and in hotels was not some distant memory – it had ended in most places only a few years earlier and in some places it had not ended at all until the passage of the law. America 1964 was certainly a better place for Jews than America 1934 (the Holocaust had made anti-Semitism a little bit shameful and no longer as respectable as it once was) but discrimination against Jews was not dead to the point that Jews did not benefit from the Civil Rights act directly.

And while Jews were certainly at a different stage than blacks there was a feeling of sympathy – that blacks were where Jews had only recently been. Of course this is the big fallacy of liberal Jews – the idea that blacks and immigrants are just like them, only a little behind them on the ladder. But given time and a little boost they will turn out to be American success stories just like the Jews. Never mind the missing 30 IQ points – those are just environmental.

  193. Jack D says:
    @AnotherDad

I’ve given you my position before – Jews are outsized creators of EVERYTHING requiring high IQ, at maybe 7 or 8x their weight in the general population, just as blacks are outsized creators of EVERYTHING requiring low IQ (havoc) in a similar ratio. But once you apply that weight, Jews, being a small minority, STILL only account for maybe 20 or 25% of Nobel Prize winners AND SJWs. Which leaves the other 75 or 80% in WASP hands, both bad and good. But around here (especially from you) it seems like Jews get sole credit for EVERYTHING bad (while OTOH, “we would have developed nukes without them”) . Jews get credit for 100% of the bad stuff but 0% of the good stuff.

And the answer is yes, what you call “minoritarianism” was not invented by Jews and it would still exist without Jews. WASPs did invent (and deserve full credit for) our Constitutional system which is in large part geared toward protecting the rights of everyone (including minorities) from the tyranny of the majority. The 1st Amendment was not put in place to protect WASPS, it was there to protect religious minorities. America was full of weird religious minorities who didn’t want to assimilate into the majority religion and culture from Day 1. The 1950s ethos that we should all be the same was UNAmerican. Having your own weird religion is the most American thing you can do.

Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it.

No. There is no coma during a very short fall from the gallows. The neck breaking occurs when the large knot (in a classic noose) or the forceful long drop with a heavy “military noose” quickly snaps the top vertebrae section. This severs the spinal cord. Death is instantaneous.

There have been botched hangings by amateurs or incorrectly done knots or drops which are too short to provide the snap.

In cases of strangulation it is often the desired outcome. I was recently in the old prison in Deer Lodge Montana where two convicts who killed the warden during an escape in the attempt in the 20s were hanged. They dangled for a while, alive. This seems to have been an intentional result, so it was suggested.

    Why would anyone think that?

If you are talking about Yellowstone National Park then you seem to forget that it is a major crime to murder someone on “federal property” period.

The feds often let local jurisdictions handle these murders but that is totally discretionary. Ditto for military bases which are federal property.

The bulk of the park is in Wyoming and no one “claims” you can get away with murder at Old Faithful, for instance. A much small part is in Montana too. Why would Idaho fail to assert jurisdiction on its own territory? Much of the state is equally wilderness like the sliver of Yellowstone Park.

Whenever you state a need, you have an implicit purpose in mind.

Jews were treated discourteously in certain venues, but were not in general suffering. Being Jewish was a problem if you wanted to buy a house in certain places, join a particular club, get a room at a particular resort or hotel, or land a position at an established law firm. (NB, Mario Cuomo discovered the vowels at the end of his first and last name were also a career impediment). The five o’clock shadow was a common practice among my grandparents contemporaries. Calling in the law to address this sort of unpleasantness is setting up a cannon to kill cats. You had some important social problems in 1964, but bias against ethnics wasn’t one of them.

In re the black population, public agencies were the source of much of the trouble they faced, so legal and institutional adjustments were more warranted. Critics of civil rights law (e.g. Robert Bork and Gottfried Dietze) issued warnings about some of the content of these laws at the time. We’ve seen that as implemented, they’ve grown escalatingly stupid. It’s easy to imagine that characters like Joseph Rauh planned it that way all along. Right now what we see in social psychological terms is almost a see-saw. The less interested are rank-and-file people in questions of race, the more the professional-managerial element grows obsessed with them.

It depends what you mean by “private”. If you have a business that is open to the public, then it’s not really “private”. Needless to say, the Civil Rights Acts have withstood Constitutional challenge so your reading of the Constitution was not the one that prevailed. I understand the argument, but it was a losing argument.

That’s a lot like saying that your property isn’t really private since the public’s air wafts over it, so if the government takes your property without compensation, it isn’t really abrogating your property rights. Basically, the legislature decided privacy doesn’t really exist except in the case of abortion. The plain meaning of words is no longer what they used to be, for legislative purposes. And that abortion of a bill has had consequences – we are now at a point where riots involving arson and looting are now considered peaceful demonstrations by a far left media that has adopted the best practices of Soviet-era Pravda and Izvestia.

Calling in the law to address this sort of unpleasantness is setting up a cannon to kill cats.

If WASPs hadn’t acted like entitled assholes in the first place it wouldn’t have been necessary to call in the law. They brought this upon themselves by deviating from American founding principles. The kind of anti-Semitism (and anti-immigrant stock discrimination – yes, Italians were treated similarly but there was maybe less friction because there were fewer Italians going to law school, etc.) that became widespread in the 20th century was unknown in the 19th. Some of the clubs that later excluded Jews had had Jewish founders.

This is the whole history of legal intervention in America. Something is free and unregulated and then a small coterie of assholes abuses that freedom and the legal cannons get called in. It happens over and over regarding all sorts of issues because there are always enough assholes to spoil it for the rest of us. Would it really have killed hotel keepers to let Jews into their hotels? What were they going to do, tear the place up? Leave it redolent of garlic? Later on, when they were forced to take Jews nothing happened. Their precious hotels were just fine. They were supposedly afraid that having Jews would scare away the non-Jewish clientele but in reality nobody cared.

White people enjoy the highest levels of kindness, empathy, honesty and generosity.

You wouldn’t happen to be a white person? I ask because it’s rare for people to make such no holds barred, clear eyed assessments of their own people as this.

I think there are a number of other races that might beg to differ though:

    1. Africans ’cause those kind white people enslaved them.

    2. Japanese ’cause those kind white people nuked them.

    3. American Indians ’cause those kind white people stole their land.

    4. Every other race for similar reasons.

I will admit that a lot of modern white people are kind of pussified but back in the day, white people were known for their ability to strike terror into the hearts of other races.

The one slight advantage of a diversifying country is that Mexicans, Chinese, Persians, Koreans et al don’t give a s*** about blacks’ constant whining. They aren’t like white liberals who are easy to manipulate.

They can be made to care, and will be made to if needed.

But they aren’t subject to the pressure and intimidation as Whites are at present. (And perhaps they won’t be.) That’s why you don’t see it.

I don’t think Jews support supremacy of any kind.

I should have put quotes around “white supremacy” because the term is grossly misused now. Having one group that’s at least 80% of the population, whose culture draws everyone else in to assimilate, and which creates institutions in its own image — that’s not “supremacy”, it’s a necessary condition for having a coherent state.

In those days a lot of people who lived in big cities (and not just blacks) lived in ethnic bubbles – if you were Jewish you went to a Jewish doctor, of course a Jewish butcher and baker, a Jewish insurance agent, etc. Everyone in the neighborhood was Jewish so all the children in your kid’s elementary school class were Jewish. If you were Italian, ditto. People of different ethnic groups lived parallel lives where they didn’t intersect much with people of different ethnicities. The post WWII move to the suburbs really broke up the old ethnic enclaves.

Big corporations like Metropolitan Life Insurance had multi-ethnic sales forces, but the Jews sold to Jews, Italians sold to Italians, etc. Pre-WWII, there would not have been many law firms with both Jewish and non-Jewish lawyers. Your firm was usually either one or the other with rare exceptions.

Obviously in rural areas and in the South where Jews were few in number there weren’t enough of them to support this kind of ethnic separation. If your town had a Jewish doctor or pharmacist he was probably the only one in town and everyone patronized him.

    3. American Indians ’cause those kind white people stole their land.

We didn’t “steal” anything from American Indians. Show me where they had legal deeds to their properties. Regardless — they fought the early settlers as best they could, and they lost. That’s the story of human existence.

Oh really? I’ll concede that we’re the only country that has nuked another country, but are you really saying that no other race has ever enslaved another race (or ethic group), used scorched-earth tactics to win a war, or taken land from another race or group of people? If so, I could just as soon despise Yankees for the atrocities they inflicted on Southerners during the Civil War, or Muslims for 9/11 and other acts of terrorism, or blacks for acts of criminality and bad citizenry out of all proportions to their numbers, or Jews for their push for global Marxism and too-frequent sexual degeneracy.

If WASPs hadn’t acted like entitled assholes in the first place it wouldn’t have been necessary to call in the law.

It wasn’t necessary. The only people acting like assholes were the shmucks who put restrictive covenants on real estate and the shmucks who enacted the ordinances which made them enforceable. It was the law that was the problem.

As a merchant, you’re generally entitled to restrict your custom. As an employer, you are generally free to hire and promote who you prefer. As a free man you are entitled to choose your friends and set your membership requirements where you will. You’re not behaving in an ‘entitled’ manner by exercising the discretion law and custom and principles of liberty allow.

You have a club, you don’t have given your physical plant an unlimited membership roll. You have to close the rolls at times and some people are going to be blackballed. Who gets blackballed and who does not is always a rough and subjective judgment. Somebody’s gonna feel hurt when you do it. The business about hotels and resorts is ruder and fuzzier, of course.

What happened? Jews and Italians formed their own firms and their own clubs. Eventually, the various bars deteriorated as people found they could enjoy each other’s company in various venues.

My own mother and father had among their friends an elderly couple they met in 1955. The husband was a rather reserved fellow from an ordinary Russian-Jewish background, while the wife was German-Jewish from a family that had arrived a generation earlier; she was born and raised bourgeois. She could be loads of fun, but she was not an appropriate addition to my grandmother’s bridge club. Their manners were radically different. That’s what happens when the world is not homogenized.

In 1966 when I broke my leg in a parochial school football practice, a surgeon named Bob Foley set my leg, and formed the cast around it. My Dad, who rendezvoused with me in the emergency room after he got the news, saw that I was being ignored by the staff, and happened to see Dr. Bob, and explained the situation. Dr. Bob was my doctor for my hospital stay and convalescence. He never treated me before or afterwards.

Dr. Bob’s office was across the street from the Catholic hospital in town. He was one of three brothers who were all doctors. I don’t remember the names of the other two, but one was the ObGyn who delivered my two brothers and one sister, and the other, a GP, was my Dad’s doctor. Foley is of course a common Irish name (I have Foley cousins.) I believe these two brothers also practiced across the way from the Catholic hospital, but my memory is a little hazy, and I can’t say for sure.

The pediatrician Mom and Dad brought all of us kids to seemed kind of WASPish to me, by the time I was aware of such things, which was not long before I became too old for a pediatrician. Dad, from time to time, saw a Jewish eye, ear, nose and throat specialist, who was an immigrant with a distinct accent. (Mom sent me to him for a prescription for my first pair of glasses.)

When I was a little kid in Brooklyn, my pediatrician was a Viennese Jewish refugee. Dr. Wagner (pronounced Vagner). I had the feeling that his practice in Vienna before the war was swankier than what he ended up with in Bushwick, Brooklyn but I don’t really know. My wife growing up had a Viennese optometrist too. I went to him once and he would flip between lenses and ask you rapid fire – Betta, Betta? But when I moved to rural NJ my Dr. was an Irish guy named Dr. O’Connor – not a lot to choose from. Thankfully I had an uneventful childhood medically – just the usual sore throats and childhood diseases.

The Japanese cabinet was split down the middle in early 1945 between two factions in the wake of Tojo’s resignation as PM the previous year: nobody was under any delusions about Japan’s situation in private, and everybody agreed they needed to find a way to exit the war. What we might vaguely term the “peace” faction was OK with unconditional surrender provided that the kokutai was preserved (whether FDR would have been willing to do this is up for debate-I believe you could make an argument both ways-but there’s no way Truman could have deviated from his predecessors policies that summer, even if he had been so inclined), the “hardliner” faction insisted on unrealistic conditions ranging from the Japanese handling their own war crimes trials and disarmament to no occupation of the home islands.

The deadlock persisted until the atomic bombings and Soviet invasion of Manchuria. How much the emperor’s intervention owed to which factor is up for debate unless the imperial private archives are opened up, something which I don’t see happening anytime soon. What is not debatable at all is how many more lives an invasion of Japan would have cost, American and Japanese alike. You only need to walk around Okinawa or look at pictures of Iwo (closed Japanese naval base, hard to get to without a good “in”) to get an indelible impression of how utterly nasty that would have been.

Comment timed out before I could add: Truman experienced combat in WWI, making him a rarity among post-Civil War generation American Presidents. Nobody (not even Hitler-why do you think he was such a fan of mobile warfare and tanks over the kinds of pre-WWI traditional charges the IJA favored for too long?) who went through the trenches wanted to put their own men through that kind of inferno again. So, armchair psychology would suggest this played a part in his decision to try anything before an invasion.

“We didn’t “steal” anything from American Indians. Show me where they had legal deeds to their properties. Regardless — they fought the early settlers as best they could, and they lost.”

The Puritans believed God blessed them with the lands of the New World. Their main justification for seizing Indian land was that indigenous populations were not using the land effectively, so it was their divine right to take that territory.

Now, virtually all Indian tribes recognized the validity of personal property. Individual tribe members were not expected to “share” their horses, weapons, dwellings, and slaves among all other members of the tribe.

However, many tribes did regard land as being communally owned. Carl Watner explores the topic in The Journal of Libertarian Studies:

Misunderstanding arising from their differing concepts of property in land was one of the main causes of disputes between the Europeans and the Indians. The Indians did not recognize land appropriation by individual members of the tribe, and even Roger Williams recognized that landownership among the Indians was usually held by the tribe. Nevertheless, among the Indians articles of personal property were owned by the individual. Each Indian tribe was perfectly well acquainted with the limits and bounds of its landholdings, even though these holdings were not enclosed in the normal European fashion.

So why didn’t Europeans Christians offer their good charity by sharing the land with tribal groups, rather than use brute force and/or chicanery? It is a sad blight on our historical record.

“That’s the story of human existence.”

So Jews and their pet mystery meats can take what they want from whites. Good to know.
