From The Atlantic:

In Ferguson, the Seeds of Trump’s Defeat

Trump may have risen on the wings of white backlash. But black Americans’ fierce resistance to a candidate they see as racist could spell his defeat.

MOLLY BALL 12:28 PM ET POLITICS

FERGUSON, Missouri—… Two years ago, the protests in Ferguson that followed Brown’s death galvanized African Americans—and many others—around what some see as a new civil-rights movement. Now, as a presidential election of historically divisive proportions nears conclusion, the black community has experienced it as a fresh trauma: As America’s first black president prepares to leave office, one of the major-party nominees appears to them to be not just a racist, but running on a platform of racism.

Some have argued that Trump’s nomination may have come as a white backlash to events like the Ferguson protests, which Trump has called “race riots.”

Of course, only a racist like Trump would call Ferguson’s August and November 2014 protests against white racism, with all their exuberant undocumented shopping and diversity pyrotechnics, “race riots.”

But if Trump loses the presidential election, an outcome that looks increasingly likely, it will be due to the backlash to the backlash: the increasingly diverse American electorate, starting with an African American community that proved stubbornly resistant to Trump’s belated attempts to woo them.

Or maybe, all the energy put into burning down Ferguson ten months before Trump entered the race by prestigious NGOs, federal officials, the ruling media, and their street thug allies, constituted the “frontlash.”

Fortunately, frontlash is not a word!

This is just a red herring to throw blacks off of Trump support. Blacks may gain even more than whites with a Trump victory, and the many black supporters of Trump already know this.

With the shut off of the flow of illegals, blacks would gain more than anyone by the rise in opportunities and salaries that would occur. Bringing back manufacturing would also have a similar effect.

Hillary’s crowd is the party who increased black welfare dependency, helped break up the black family, and turn a blind eye to black criminals (who predominately run amok in black neighborhoods). Be careful what you wish for, black Hillary voter, you just may get it.

This is true, and Hispanic citizens are a close second.

Unfortunately, the nation's women have finally reverted to their true nature, only showing interest in how the uncouth man is bullying the woman whose husband cheated on her. So unfair! She just wants to be president! and about time.

So, unless Trump buys some air time, there won't be any mention of these issues until the 2020 election.

Blacks don't want the jobs illegals have. Trump promises much better jobs, that is why his support is as high as it is among black (men). He's not doing the usual Republican thing of saying blacks should be happy to pick up the crumbs left by deporting all the illegals, he's saying he'll bring back 20/hr factory union jobs and give some to black men. This is, needless to say, a more compelling argument than "vote for us and get those dishwashing jobs Jose left behind!"

  3. It’s almost as if they are running a contest of who can come up with the most ridiculous anti-Trump theory.

This “theory” is similar to the “Don’t even think of not letting in more Muslims cuz it’ll only make ’em madder” theory. Specifically, “Whites got fed up with black crime and the subsequent cries of ‘racism’ but that was Crimethink so now they’re going to get it good!” I guess we’re not supposed to notice anything at all and just keep hating ourselves until the “increasingly diverse” electorate keeps increasing and finally gets rid of all of us.

Just noise, Trump will win handily in Utah. I do wonder if polling in Utah is an indicator of polling failure or Bradley effect? People given an option that is none of the above choose it just to register displeasure at the moment but end up voting for one of the two main candidates anyway.

I would watch Alaska though. A notoriously hard state to poll and Trump's schtick may fall flat there.

  6. As revealed in O’Keefe’s new ‘bird dogging’ video, that Scott Foval fellow who was in charge of training goons to incite violence at Trump rallies, has links to George Soros.

Soros, and his minion Hillary, have been busy bees lately, funding race riots, and sending trained provocateurs to pick fights with Trump supporters. All so that the rioting and fighting could be blamed on…white conservatives.

That type of blatant projection takes some serious chutzpah. A seemingly not-impossible hurdle, when all of the media is willing to play along.

There’s a goldmine of information in the wikileaks and others like guccifer2.0 and Citizens United. The following is a list of damning issues (in my eyes), originally compiled for undecided family members. I skipped the ‘obvious’ mass email deletions, media collusion with DNC/Clinton, large-scale donations from financial industry, conspiring with DNC against Sanders, and the blurred borders between Clinton campaign, Priorities SuperPAC, Clinton Foundation, and the DNC. There’s as much minority bean-counting as you’d expect from Democrats in high-level appointments, media presentations and the like.

Clinton campaign was taking money from foreign entities, attempting plausible deniability with 3rd party go-betweens (illegal) : “I'm ok just taking the money and dealing with any attacks. Are you guys ok with that? Take the money!!” https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/11915 and https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/2783

U.S. is aware that money to Iran will go to Hezbollah: according to Iranian foreign minister, “If we give funds to Hezbollah, they are a positive force in Lebanon, and have kept ISIS out of Lebanon." https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/248

Clinton did not disclose millions her Foundation received from Uranium One (Russian co) prior to State Dept authorizing Russian rights to 20% of U.S. strategic reserve: https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/press-release

Clinton knew Saudi Arabia and Qatar were arming ISIS, yet supported arms deals to them: “we need to use our diplomatic and more traditional intelligence assets to bring pressure on the governments of Qatar and Saudi Arabia, which are providing clandestine financial and logistic support to ISIL and other radical Sunni groups in the region.” https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/3774

Clintons accept Islamist funding via Clinton Foundation: “A Wall Street Journal review of donations to the Clinton Foundation in 2014 showed the charity received money from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Oman” http://www.wsj.com/articles/clinton-foundation-defends-acceptance-of-foreign-donations-1424302856

Clinton speech to Latin American bank: “My dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders" https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/927

Clinton hostile to second amendment: “we are going to background reporters tonight on a few of the specific proposals she would support as President - universal background checks of course, but also closing the gun show loophole by executive order and imposing manufacturer liability.” https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/1509

Advisors assume Clinton will ultimately support TPP (with minor changes): "the idea here is to use this to lay out her thinking on TPA & TPP ahead of action on the Hill and a joint letter by all the former Secretaries of State and Defense. This draft assumes that she's ultimately going to support both TPA and TPP." https://www.wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/6616

TiSA grants foreign companies sweeping powers to privatize public concerns like hospitals (and public lands?) : “TiSA … imposes unprecedented restrictions on SOEs [State Owned Enterprises] and will force majority owned SOEs to operate like private sector businesses;” “TiSA … will establish a wide range of new grounds for domestic regulations to be challenged by corporations - even those without a local presence in that country;” “TiSA will aim to ensure that national environmental protections within TiSA countries will be "harmonized down", promoting the interests of multinational companies providing water purification, sanitation and refuse disposal services over worker safety, public health and the natural environment.” https://wikileaks.org/tisa/#September%2015,%202016%20Publication

Clinton coordination with her Priorities PAC; afraid NYT would disclose: https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/2372

Former head of NEA on dumbing-down of populace: “And as I've mentioned, we've all been quite content to demean government, drop civics and in general conspire to produce an unaware and compliant citizenry. The unawareness remains strong but compliance is obviously fading rapidly. This problem demands some serious, serious thinking - and not just poll driven, demographically-inspired messaging." https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/3599

Clinton campaign created fake craigslist jobs in May to smear Trump: “Like it or not, he may greet you with a kiss on the lips or grope you under the meeting table.” https://wikileaks.org/dnc-emails/emailid/12803

Clinton’s close assoc with Soros: “I would only do this for political reasons (ie, to make Soros happy)” and “I am also trying to downplay Soros role. It's hard to draw definitive conclusions from early voting since it's hard to tell who will show up on Election Day. Still here's what we know:

-Early voting in the 3 large dem leaning OH counties that include Cleveland, Columbus & Cincinnati are down 32%,16% and 3% respectively since '12. The rest of the state is flat.

    - Iowa Dems are off their '12 pace considerably in returned early ballots. GOP is holding steady.

-in both NC & FL republicans are off their '12 pace but in NC have returned more ballots than Dems in a state where Dems enjoy a 10 point registration advantage.

    - in FL Dems are out performing and enjoy a slight lead over GOP in returned ballots.

We should get some more clarity about minority interest as GA & NC begin onsite early voting which blacks tend to utilize more. The two states keep track of ballots castes by race. There were long lines of voters during the first day of early voting in GA but the clips I showed crowds of whites.

Is it just me or is that plot contradictory? It shows the two major Democratic constituencies, the young and blacks, at sub-par interest levels but somehow the overall "Democrats" category shows equivalent interest to 2012. Are white women really picking up the slack that much?

  14. Nonsense. Trump’s loss will be inflicted by white women, voting based on their feels.

His racism is negligible. The media has to depend on exaggerations like “he meant all Mexicans!” or “inequality = discrimination!” to push that narrative. And black American political thought is so thoroughly white that it’s doubtful a more standard Republican candidate would’ve attracted much more votes from them.

No, he's losing because pollsters are assuming the voters will be 40-45% D and 56-60% female. He's either not losing or within the MOE among pollsters making different assumptions.

The weighting changes extremely frequently with the media pollsters, much more so than was the case in 2012. The unskewers jumped the gun by a cycle. The Conservative Treehouse is pretty solid on this. A subset of pollsters are putting many thumbs on the scale and other pollsters are doing no worse than 2012 assumptions, which incidentally show Trump ahead in several swing states, which isn't exactly losing.

Trump has a decent chance of winning under reasonable turnout assumptions (more D's than R's, a lot more I's than 2008 or 2012, slightly more male electorate, but probably still female-majority).

To put it more simply, Trump wins if the electorate is as much as 55% female and he gets 38% or more of women and 65% or more of men. This is pretty close to what he's getting in polls that show crosstabs by sex.

I mean sure, there is probably more than enough voter fraud to elect an old hag who might already be dead, or be on death watch for the Entire Hundred Days that her voters will wonder about when she’s too sick to actually do anything, but I’m sure that the masterful strategy we saw in Iraq, Libya and now Syria all show us what we can expect from this team of delusional self-absorbed experts who have so much rhetoric to add that results are not really on their agenda.

Lots can and will go wrong with the clown posse behind Hillary.

Here's the thing, her posse is smart enough to rig the system and boy is it rigged now to throw it to Hillary. But they aren't smart enough to think through the global consequences of installing a fat, stupid, dying old hag that will not last out probably her first year.

She's clearly too weak even now to handle the rulers of Russia, China, Turkey, Pakistan or India. They'll take one look at the feeble hag and either panic and dump U.S. currency like it's monopoly money or start planning on carving up the U.S. hegemony once she begins her journey to Hell.

I do agree with your comment in general. . . .but once the retreat began leaving the British army in France would not have secured victory. It might have put off French defeat for a few more days or weeks while leading to a near 100% loss of the army.

It’s hard to draw definitive conclusions from early voting since it’s hard to tell who will show up on Election Day. Still here’s what we know:

-Early voting in the 3 large dem leaning OH counties that include Cleveland, Columbus & Cincinnati are down 32%,16% and 3% respectively since ’12. The rest of the state is flat.

    – Iowa Dems are off their ’12 pace considerably in returned early ballots. GOP is holding steady.

-in both NC & FL republicans are off their ’12 pace but in NC have returned more ballots than Dems in a state where Dems enjoy a 10 point registration advantage.

    – in FL Dems are out performing and enjoy a slight lead over GOP in returned ballots.

We should get some more clarity about minority interest as GA & NC begin onsite early voting which blacks tend to utilize more. The two states keep track of ballots castes by race. There were long lines of voters during the first day of early voting in GA but the clips I showed crowds of whites.

With the shut off of the flow of illegals, blacks would gain more than anyone by the rise in opportunities and salaries that would occur. Bringing back manufacturing would also have a similar effect.

Hillary's crowd is the party who increased black welfare dependency, helped break up the black family, and turn a blind eye to black criminals (who predominately run amok in black neighborhoods). Be careful what you wish for, black Hillary voter, you just may get it.

Trump must win based on the issues. If personalities determine the winner the fog bank generated by the media will ensure that the Great Whore succeeds Obama on the Red Horse. And the innocent will pay the price.
  37. It’s almost bizarre how Trump has managed to be tagged as “racist” despite pretty obviously avoiding picking up some pretty huge “race cards” just lying there on the ground. The most he’s done has been to say he’s “the law and order candidate”.

To me, this was a mistake. I know he doesn’t want to energize the black vote–but they aren’t going to be energized for Hillary anyway and seem to be pretty solidly against him, due to media labeling. (These aren’t exactly savants who’ll parse how good he actually is for them on immigration … especially since he never mentions immigration.)

And if it was also Trump not “going there” due to worry about the nice white ladies thinking he’s a “racist” was also overthought. Trump’s already been tarred a racist by the mainstream media and that’s pretty much as far most female thought gets. (“Compliant”, “conforming”, “herd” are the adjectives that get at the problem.)

I think Trump would have been better off to wade on in there and point out:
    — that the BLM stuff is utter nonsense, the cops are *not* out hunting blacks; cite the FBIs stats
    — the BLM stuff was ginned up by Soros\Democrats\Hillary to and excite black grievance to get the black vote out
    — BLM has been very, very good for its gay activists but destructive for the communities it protests in
    — that the Ferguson effect has given the thugs more running room, murders are up by 1500–1000 of them blacks, amping up the violence there, which is hardly good for blacks–500 leaking out to white communities, plus we’ve had 10 police assassinations and several riots … and lay this all on Hillary, point out that the effect of this ginning up black anger to get herself elected has killed 1500 people most of them black, call her the “murder queen” and the “riot queen”

My take is that the “nice white ladies” given this line of thought will be much less happy about Hillary. She’s fine to vote for against “racist” Trump when its all about “glass ceiling” and “our turn”. But ginning up black anger and driving up the murder rate is not a nice white lady thing.

The Conservative Treehouse is pretty solid on this. A subset of pollsters are putting many thumbs on the scale and other pollsters are doing no worse than 2012 assumptions, which incidentally show Trump ahead in several swing states, which isn’t exactly losing.

Trump has a decent chance of winning under reasonable turnout assumptions (more D’s than R’s, a lot more I’s than 2008 or 2012, slightly more male electorate, but probably still female-majority).

To put it more simply, Trump wins if the electorate is as much as 55% female and he gets 38% or more of women and 65% or more of men. This is pretty close to what he’s getting in polls that show crosstabs by sex.

That's because no one has asked them if it's in their kids' best interest to elect a serial killer. No one has asked them whether or not Obama/HRC's policies created the refugee crisis we see in Europe and the refugee crisis we don't see here at home.

I swear Gowdy did more harm than good, (limited hangout?) by repeating "Benghazi" until everyone tuned out. The overthrow of Gaddafi was a covert operation as was the attempted overthrow of Assad. Hillary was the brains behind the operation(s). No wonder they were such catastrophes. It had congressional funding, so some will say this State Department war was legal, but we should at least have one of those famous CONVERSATIONS about whether it is in our best interests to be continually dragged into public wars started privately.

The memorable "tick tock on libya" email from Sullivan to Mills and Nuland gives a timeline for HRC's accomplishments starting in Feb., 2011, which "shows [HRC's] leadership/ownership/stewardship of this country's libya policy from start to finish."

No one seems interested in the "take the money!" emails from the Podesta leak that wonders about taking money from foreign agents. Podesta tops that list, but 2 agents for Libya are also listed, agents most interesting. They contributed to Hillary's campaign. Money being fungible and all, her campaign took kickbacks from those skimming 10% off the top of the bayonetted Gaddafi's funds. Has anyone even asked where Libya's loot went?

  50. From the Atlantic article:

[Bruce] Franks became a fixture at the protests, wearing a white undershirt and carrying a sign that said, “I am a college educated black man!!! Business owner – father – husband! I apologize that I look like a thug!”

The sign makes no sense in the context of the Ferguson incident. Nobody called Michael Brown a “thug”.

    * The Pakistani store owners did not call Brown a “thug” while he was robbing their store.

    * Police Officer Darren Wilson did not call Brown a “thug” while Brown was punching him in the face.

Brown and his pal Dorian Johnson spent all their time getting high on illegal narcotics and selling illegal narcotics in their neighborhood. Sometimes Brown recorded rap songs about how he would force women to give him blow jobs.

Johnson had attended college in another city for a few months. He was arrested for stealing a FedEx package from someone’s front porch, and so he dropped out of college and returned to Ferguson to avoid a trial.

Brown graduated from high school, but he had made no effort to continue his education. His grandmother had kicked him out of his home, and so he had been sleeping on a couch in a friend’s home for a few weeks. This friend’s family was about to kick him out. In a few days he probably would be living on the street.

After Brown was killed, the Obama Administration sent a big group of FBI investigators to Ferguson, hoping to arrange a federal show-trial of the White police officer. The federal trial was supposed to prove to the need to federalize all of our county’s police forces.

The FBI investigators soon learned, however, that the accusations against Police Officer Wilson were outrageous lies. The three young Blacks — Dorian Johnson, Piaget Crenshaw and Tiffany Mitchell — who had appeared repeatedly on television telling their yarn about Wilson murdering Brown were blatant liars. None of the three had seen the final shots. The three collaborated in concocting a lie that Brown was standing still, raising his hands and pleading to surrender.

Because those three repeated their blatant lies to a grand jury, they should have been tried on perjury charges, and all three would have been convicted. Because of their lies, Ferguson suffered massive riots, looting and arson, and Ferguson soon will become an economic wasteland.

Instead of conducting a federal show-trial of the White police officer, the Federal Government has compelled Ferguson to stop enforcing traffic regulations and to stop conducting school-board elections. The Federal Government still used the incident as an opportunity to establish a model of how to gradually federalize police forces and schools in all other cities with large Black populations.

    —–

One White worker agreed with the three Black liars that Brown was standing still, raising his hands and pleading to surrender. This White worker likewise did not see the final gunshots. He was sitting in his truck, getting high on illegal drugs, and looking in a different direction.

If Wilson had been tried, the prosecutors would not have called those three Black liars or the White worker as eyewitnesses. The only eyewitnesses who would have testified at a trial would have been three other African-Americans who were standing on a balcony and indeed did watch the final gunshots.

    http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2015/08/what_would_have_happened_in_a_trial_of_office_darren_wilson.html

All three of those balcony eyewitnesses would have indicated that Brown began charging at Wilson from a spot that was about 25 yards from where Brown fell dead.

    http://people-who-did-not-see.blogspot.com/2016/10/brown-stopped-on-east-end-of-copper.html

    —–

In this situation, it never made any sense for anyone to parade around Ferguson with a sign that says “I am a college educated black man!!! Business owner – father – husband! I apologize that I look like a thug!”

Weighting to party ID is foolish because it's not a fixed identity. Now you have a point about the gender imbalance however in the states that have early voting that break out gender, the female vote is about 55%.

Trump's Achilles heel is white women in particular the college educated ones. When I'm at the grocery store in NoVa, I can't imagine many of the white moms lugging their 1.5 kids through the organic aisles voting for Trump.

When I’m at the grocery store in NoVa, I can’t imagine many of the white moms lugging their 1.5 kids through the organic aisles voting for Trump.

That’s because no one has asked them if it’s in their kids’ best interest to elect a serial killer. No one has asked them whether or not Obama/HRC’s policies created the refugee crisis we see in Europe and the refugee crisis we don’t see here at home.

I swear Gowdy did more harm than good, (limited hangout?) by repeating “Benghazi” until everyone tuned out.

The memorable “tick tock on libya” email from Sullivan to Mills and Nuland gives a timeline for HRC’s accomplishments starting in Feb., 2011, which “shows [HRC’s] leadership/ownership/stewardship of this country’s libya policy from start to finish.”

No one seems interested in the “take the money!” emails from the Podesta leak that wonders about taking money from foreign agents. Podesta tops that list, but 2 agents for Libya are also listed, agents most interesting. They contributed to Hillary’s campaign. Money being fungible and all, her campaign took kickbacks from those skimming 10% off the top of the bayonetted Gaddafi’s funds. Has anyone even asked where Libya’s loot went?

Nice white women will not elect a war criminal, not if anyone ever made the case, available from HER emails, that that is what Hillary’s State was up to. I am in that cohort and will not vote for her under any circumstances.

Clinton campaign was taking money from foreign entities, attempting plausible deniability with 3rd party go-betweens (illegal) : “I’m ok just taking the money and dealing with any attacks. Are you guys ok with that? Take the money!!” https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/11915 and https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/2783

U.S. is aware that money to Iran will go to Hezbollah: according to Iranian foreign minister, “If we give funds to Hezbollah, they are a positive force in Lebanon, and have kept ISIS out of Lebanon.” https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/248

Clinton speech to Latin American bank: “My dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders” https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/927

Clinton campaign managers slamming Catholicism: “It’s an amazing bastardization of the faith.” https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/4364 and https://www.wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/6293

Clinton hostile to second amendment: “we are going to background reporters tonight on a few of the specific proposals she would support as President – universal background checks of course, but also closing the gun show loophole by executive order and imposing manufacturer liability.” https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/1509

Advisors assume Clinton will ultimately support TPP (with minor changes): “the idea here is to use this to lay out her thinking on TPA & TPP ahead of action on the Hill and a joint letter by all the former Secretaries of State and Defense. This draft assumes that she’s ultimately going to support both TPA and TPP.” https://www.wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/6616

TiSA grants foreign companies sweeping powers to privatize public concerns like hospitals (and public lands?) : “TiSA … imposes unprecedented restrictions on SOEs [State Owned Enterprises] and will force majority owned SOEs to operate like private sector businesses;” “TiSA … will establish a wide range of new grounds for domestic regulations to be challenged by corporations – even those without a local presence in that country;” “TiSA will aim to ensure that national environmental protections within TiSA countries will be “harmonized down”, promoting the interests of multinational companies providing water purification, sanitation and refuse disposal services over worker safety, public health and the natural environment.” https://wikileaks.org/tisa/#September%2015,%202016%20Publication

Clinton coordination with her Priorities PAC; afraid NYT would disclose: https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/2372

Concern about Saudi donations to Clinton Foundation in wake of 9/11 report: “we have been alert to press notice of Saudi donations to the Foundation.” https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/4102

Odd wording of emails 3 days prior to Scalia’s death: “wet works” https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/6008 And aftermath: https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/4586

Former head of NEA on dumbing-down of populace: “And as I’ve mentioned, we’ve all been quite content to demean government, drop civics and in general conspire to produce an unaware and compliant citizenry. The unawareness remains strong but compliance is obviously fading rapidly. This problem demands some serious, serious thinking – and not just poll driven, demographically-inspired messaging.” https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/3599

Donor, but not in the operational soup.” https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/15201 and https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/9372

Citigroup exec picked Obama’s cabinet (with nearly all recs accepted): “At the risk of being presumptuous, I also scoped out how the Cabinet-level appointments might be put together, probability-weighting the likelihood of appointing a diverse candidate for each position” https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/8190 and https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails//fileid/8190/2374

Yes, that is odd. But it’s boilerplate Democratism, or has been at least since Obama flipped on gay marriage. I’ve noticed Trump’s comfortability with the gays, because I’m “triggered” by it. They were like the first thing he mentioned at the Convention, as I recall. Maybe that was a nod to Theil. But libs didn’t notice, or don’t care. Is he even against gay marriage?

Trump could throw a foam party at Trump Tower or turn his inaugural into a Pride Parade and he’d still be homophobic because Republican.

It's almost as if they are running a contest of who can come up with the most ridiculous anti-Trump theory.

This "theory" is similar to the "Don't even think of not letting in more Muslims cuz it'll only make 'em madder" theory. Specifically, "Whites got fed up with black crime and the subsequent cries of 'racism' but that was Crimethink so now they're going to get it good!" I guess we're not supposed to notice anything at all and just keep hating ourselves until the "increasingly diverse" electorate keeps increasing and finally gets rid of all of us.
