Five weeks ago I wrote in Taki’s about how the the anti-Israel BDS movement, which aims to do to Israel what was done to Rhodesia and South Africa, has been a hit in Europe but not yet in America … except on California college campuses like UCLA. Student politics is a joke, except that this is where the next generation of Democratic politicians cuts its teeth and forms working friendships, and California leads in immigration and diversity. So Jews have reason to worry that all this immigration and diversity sacralization that they’ve championed might wind up in the long run being bad for the Jews.
The strategy hit upon by the Israel Lobby is to denounce pro-BDS student politicians as religiously discriminatory, because being Jewish is a religion (except, of course, when it’s not). Here’s the latest in the New York Times:
Student Coalition at Stanford Confronts Allegations of Anti-Semitism

Is there any other kind of campus politics than identity politics?
Like other candidates, Molly Horwitz, a junior from Milwaukee, was eager to receive an endorsement from the Students of Color Coalition, an umbrella group that has helped dozens win seats in the student senate.
This NYT article is more honest than Adam Nagourney’s last month, which worked hard to imply that the Jewish candidate at UCLA was being discriminated against by Stutz Bearcat-driving WASPs instead of the usual Coalition of the Fringes. (See my post on Nagourney’s article, “Who Knew Haven Monahan Had Transferred from UVA to UCLA?“)
Ms. Horwitz, who was adopted from Paraguay, wrote extensively in her application about navigating both Jewish and Latino circles. Like many other students, she had paid close attention to the campus debate over divestment earlier this year.
But Ms. Horwitz said that what happened in the interview with the student coalition left her shocked and horrified. After talking about issues such as student mental health services with the eight representatives, Ms. Horwitz said …
Ms. Horwitz’s chosen Identity Politics category is running for office as a Person with Mental Health Issues battling Stigma. From her campaign statement:
Mental health is something that needs to be talked about. I’ve suffered from mental health issues, and the very fact that I hesitated to put that in my statement is why we need change. With concerted effort by senators and students we can eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health at Stanford.
Back to the New York Times:
… the interview changed topic: “Given your Jewish identity, how would you vote on divestment?”
“I was really taken aback by the question, and it took me a minute to process it, so I asked for clarification to make sure I knew what they were really asking,” Ms. Horwitz said in an interview. “They said they saw in my application that I had a strong Jewish identity, and how would that impact my decision?”
Ms. Horwitz said that she responded by explaining that while she was supportive of the process the student senate had used to vote in favor of urging Stanford to divest, she opposed divestment and found the ultimate outcome of the vote disappointing. “There was an awkward silence, and the interview ended a minute later,” Ms. Horwitz said. Although she did not receive the group’s endorsement, she is still a candidate in the election, which begins Thursday.
In other words, Ms. Horwitz is pro-Israel and the Students of Color Coalition is anti-Israel, so she failed to get the endorsement of this identity politics group due to a disagreement over issues.
The Students of Color Coalition’s high crime is, apparently, noticing that strongly Jewish-identified students, like Horwitz, tend to be anti-BDS. Moreover, there’s a lot of resentment on California campuses among non-Jewish student politicians that Jewish student politicians will go off campus to fundraise among Israeli-American millionaires in order to manipulate student elections.
During the debate over divestment earlier this year, Ms. Horwitz wrote several posts on Facebook against it. Miriam Pollock, a friend and campaign manager for Ms. Horwitz, said in an interview Tuesday that before Ms. Horwitz started gathering signatures for her campaign, the two scrubbed her Facebook page to hide all posts indicating support for Israel, including a photograph of a pair of shoes decorated to look like the Israeli flag.
“We did it not because she isn’t proud — she is — but the campus climate has been pretty hostile, and it would not be politically expedient to take a public stance,” Ms. Pollock said. “She didn’t want that to be a main facet of her platform. Of course she was going to be honest if she was asked about her stance on divestment.”
The other hot button getting campus polititics so much national attention all of a sudden is increasing Jewish concern that the ascendant Of Color coalition of the Fringes won’t let Jews join in any reindeer games.
Ms. Horwitz is a little beige in color, so she makes a good test case. Her request for solidarity from the Students of Color Coalition was rejected, in part because she’s so pro-Israel.
The essential question may eventually turn out to be: Are Jews part of the sacralized Fringe or are they part of the demonized Core?
Maybe all this Fringe over Core propaganda will turn out in the long run not to be good for the Jews? Perhaps more centrist Jews will start to worry about this mindset they’ve nurtured?

Being born in the '50's I have known a lot of refugees from Hitler-Stalin-Land. Virtually none of them had any extended family anymore. It happens. It really has nothing to do with the price of eggs in the United States.
The big waves of Jewish immigrants in the late 1880's, 1890's, and early 1900's were overwhelmingly from Eastern Europe and most of them were very poor. There's a reason why Jews were associated in a cliche way with socialism, and so on; because it reflected their socio-economic condition: back then. Nowadays however there are few poor Jews, most of them are at least solidly middle class, many professionals, numerous wealthy Jews, too. It's only a matter of time until their politics reflects their socio-economic success. People don't normally vote against their interests.
So does that mean that Jews are no longer an outsider looking in, or a fringe, or are they now privileged? Well, they aren't a fringe, unless they are anti-Zionist. How can anyone support an old fashioned ethno-nationalist state and be on the fringe? How can anyone have a poster of Netanyahu on her dorm room wall and be avant garde? The Jewish strategy of playing both sides of the fence simultaneously basically worked when America was Wasp dominated.
Previously, they could claim to be both persecuted outsiders whilst being market dominant, in that the groups which they accused of persecution weren’t generally market-dominant, yet comprised the majority and could possibly ‘turn nasty’ if the circumstances aligned.
These days, that simply just doesn’t wash. The ‘minorities’ who are now, in fact, the majority don’t have an historic record of persecuting Jews or any ‘guilt’ on that part, they are ‘new skin’ in this game with no historical baggage. The dangeris that these groups, or rather their leadership, have the intelligence to pattern recognise and form political blocs.
But then that's the Jewish mentality--we do our tight ethnic thing among ourselves--fine good. But the gentile majority must be open to Jewish penetration or ... racist! anti-semitic! hate! intolerance!

In fact, excepting the Holocaust--which was truly an unprecedented level of barbarism directed at the Jews (though not wildly out of line with a lot of general mass slaughter from that age)--the whole Jewish narrative of perpetual victimhood by European gentiles is nonsense.
Boiled down it's local gentiles occasionally rising up to take revenge against the Jews for exploiting them economically and\or pushing them off their land. Very standard issue inter-ethnic conflict stuff. People don't like to be pushed around by other tribes and usually fight back.
Rather than being poor sad sack victims, what's remarkable about the European Jewish experience is that the gentiles let this hostile outgroup with their own religion of racial superiority *exist, prosper and demographically expand* in Europe while they were continually bashing each other over the head for issues of theological non-compliance.
It was in fact a dreadful mistake. Political migration from fringe to core seems inevitable post-Hillary.
The anti-Israel stuff on college campuses isn’t anything new; the friction between Jewish and black Dems has been there for decades; what’s new is the Democratic Party is a lot fringier than it was ~20 years ago.
Win or lose, Hillary looks like the end of the line for all but the furthest left among white men, whether Jewish or not. Unlike in Obama’s case, NAMs won’t have to reach back to a white Dem POTUS’s admin for Washington hands – they’ll have Susan Rices and Valerie Jarretts.
NAMs will force all but the most self-abdignating core types out and, having already won the culture war, those exiled will have fewer qualms about joining the GOP. At that point, the GOP may finally turn against open borders for real.

But it’s not great for Zionism.
Suppose Zionism and Israel didn’t exist.
Jews could use diversity to divide-and-rule the gentiles, and that would be that.
But because the Israeli-Palestinian problem exists, Jews are in a bind because they appear right-wing and ‘racist’ over there.
Other than that, this ‘diversity’ thing is not about ‘people of color’ liking or not liking Jews.
It’s about people of color hating on white gentiles and people of color hating one another.
That way, even if diverse gentiles may not like Jews, they are divided among themselves and unable to unify against Jews.
BDS is an exception because the nature of Zionist imperialism is so strong and because Israel has become associated with the GOP.
If Jews solve the crisis in Israel, the BDS issue will fade.
If not, it will fester.

Realistically, how will openly supporting BDS affect these college kids’ future job prospects? Can you foresee an outspoken network of BDS supporters rich enough to attract new members without dooming them to lifelong outsider status? Is there any prospect of a mainstream movie or tv show including a sympathetic character who supports BDS, anytime soon? (Maybe one made in Europe? Or maybe a genuinely charismatic rockstar?) How can the current one-sided argument hope to become two-sided?
Clearly Blacks are shoving Jews out of Hollywood, slowly but surely. Rhimes, Oprah, Tyler Perry. No price paid for their BDS views. Unless you count being pals with the President.
No way Hillary! even gets the nomination. Letterman is already making Clinton jokes. Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, even Al Sharpton have better shots. And yes Al Sharpton could easily win both nomination and the Presidency. He's Black. Thus holds the Obama coalition together.

It's not just about looks.
White Hispanics look and are white but get to play 'people of color'.
Asians don't look white but are not seen with sympathy by whites, blacks, or Hispanics. They are seen as overly successful.

In the end, despite what college students think, the elites of their communities will realize that they ain't going nowhere without Jewish approval in finance, media, law, and etc. So,they can be bought off.
Also, as their #1 enemy will be seen as eeeeeevil white conservatives, they'll side with Jews.

My thoughts exactly. To most POC, they are just whites who don't believe in Jesus.
To make the case that they belong in the fringe, they have to convince POC that they are a genetically distinct race who has been beaten down by whitey just like them. This has the potential to work and there would be no downside to trying it that I can see. But the likely outcome of that would be that the POC would just see Jews as they would see Italians or Irish. The same evil white man just with a different name.

Stanford, being a private institution of higher learning, and as Steve has written about, has a very small undergraduate student population, is most likely in the same boat. A few hundred out of about what, a 6k total undergrad population?
In this instance, Molly Horowitz doesn't "look" or "fit" the stereotypical profile. However, in the eyes of NAM, she's just another whitey. She's certainly lighter skinned than most of them, and doesn't culturally appear to be black, therefore.....she's white. Is she really one of them when she does not outwardly resemble them? The answer to come to, is of course, that she is not.

Quite tactful of the Times not to make any mention of that key important fact as relevant to the overall problems underneath the surface at Stanford.
Maybe students should stick to what they’re there for in the first place and that’s to learn their subject matter. People 18-22 are way too naive and inexperienced to know anything about politics; they haven’t been alive with an adult mentality long enough to know anything beyond feel-good slogans. Young people are easily misled. The destruction of Rhodesia and South Africa is a stain upon history; since it produced such great results let’s then repeat it over and over. Although Israel’s recent fascist-style punitive bombardment of Gaza antagonized many people the world over there’s also the fact that there’s nothing on the Arab side that one can identify with. The Arabs are not bearers of civilization, culture or science so siding with them against Israel makes no sense. Detaching from Israel might be best but siding with the retrograde Arabs against them would be a mistake. Besides, who is really behind this BDS movement?
Identity politics makes the color of your skin your uniform; it’s not the content of your character but the color of your skin that matters.
Of course, which is exactly why they jump into it with such glee. Identity politics doesn't require learning about issues like poverty, climate change, or (worst of all) international politics (the more you learn about that, the more you realize there are no good guys or bad guys most of the time)...it's just about you and your feelings.

When white people are a minority PC will be irrelevant and it will die. Your attempt to draw Jewish intellectual support for immigration restriction will fail. If they come to the point where they have to choose between abandoning Israel or abandoning progressivism, they will choose to let their redneck Likud-voting cousins perish without second thought.

As a young Jew, I naturally have many young leftist Jewish friends. Most of them (around 70%) are casually leftist. For the most part, they neither care nor think about about politics, and would easily make the transition to the right if it became de-stigmatized and socially acceptable.
However, there is a fraction of leftist Jews who are intensely politically engaged. These Jews are usually the most intelligent ones (the top 10%). You simply cannot imagine how tenaciously they cling to leftist ideology. Its phenomenal. They embrace it with truly religious fervor. In their minds, being Jewish means holding the prescribed, ancestral leftists beliefs. When I gently inform them about the internal contradictions between their leftist ideology and their support of Israel, they go berserk. It triggers an intense emotion and visceral revulsion, defying any rational thought process.
They are not going to make the transition to the right without much pain and possible brain damage.
So hilariously described, yet so frustrating a barrier! It makes perfect sense that an ethnicity that has evolved by boiling off all those who could not adhere in an OCD fashion to an arcane religion, once removed from that religion just transfer their adherence to whatever their parents believed in. Maybe the answer lies in whatever caused their grandparents or great grandparents to hive off from orthodox Judaism (into Reform Judaism, or Marxism) in the first place. Perhaps if we can understand why these people first embraced something other than the original belief, then a similar process can be used to subtly guide them to a more useful outlook.

Maybe the key is to first understand what it is these hardcore leftists believe and the sources for what they believe (i.e. who it is who they defer to). Then, look for the nuances in these sources that would indicate that this leftist ideology (or the method) was a product of its times, was supposed to be good for Jews, and now if it is no longer good for Jews then it needs modification or abandonment. Much like codes of diet, dress and rituals that were abandoned by the early Reform Jews. I am not an expert on Marxism, but I'm sure there are some experts on here who both understand the mindset of these 10% hardcore Jewish leftists and Marxism (or whatever it is they believe) in order to allow these people to come to mentally evolve in a way that makes sense to them.

No, it’s the WASPs who have no historic record of persecuting Jews, very much the contrary. On the other hand, George P Bush and Tomas de Torquemada speak the same language. Well, not so much in GPB’s case, but whatever. By contrast, George W Bush and Oliver Cromwell speak the same language.

The political parties are not differentiated according to affluence per se, but according to patterns in family relations, religious observance, coarse color categories, region, and metropolitan v. small town/rural residence (among working people), and according to these categories plus economic sector (among the bourgeois). Were the political parties to continue to reflect these cleavages, you'd only see a shift toward Republican voting among Jews as the Jewish population dissipated and the residual Jewish population was increasingly Orthodox.

At my public university in NY back in the mid 90s, a Jewess student body leader got herself in some major trouble w the black SJWs. My thoughts exactly. To most POC, they are just whites who don’t believe in Jesus.
To make the case that they belong in the fringe, they have to convince POC that they are a genetically distinct race who has been beaten down by whitey just like them. This has the potential to work and there would be no downside to trying it that I can see. But the likely outcome of that would be that the POC would just see Jews as they would see Italians or Irish. The same evil white man just with a different name.
The other day, Vox had a long winded piece on how Israeli democracy was dying because of their Palestinian problem. The point being that the continued treatment of their Arab population was leading to a breakdown of democracy and thus a loss of legitimacy. Therefore, supporting BDS efforts was an act of kindness in an attempt to save Israel from the Israelis.
I don’t know if it will fly, but it could buy some time as things shake out. There’s really no getting around the fact that not all fringe groups are suffering. The political parties are not differentiated according to affluence per se, but according to patterns in family relations, religious observance, coarse color categories, region, and metropolitan v. small town/rural residence (among working people), and according to these categories plus economic sector (among the bourgeois). Were the political parties to continue to reflect these cleavages, you’d only see a shift toward Republican voting among Jews as the Jewish population dissipated and the residual Jewish population was increasingly Orthodox.

Even so, in terms of culture and values, if not ability and talent, the wasp culture was more honest and ethical than the Eastern-European-American Jewish culture.
While the wasp’s favoring of wasps over more talented Jews was unethical, the chances were that your average wasp was less likely to be a pathological liar and thief than some smart Jewish guy.
We would like to believe that ability and ethics go together, but it’s sometimes the case that the less able are more ethical while the more able are less ethical. Just look at smart Jews who run US foreign policy. Smart yes but what total liars and pathological sharks.
Anyway, since Wasps and Northern Europeans had developed a reputation around the world as the most honest and trustworthy, Jews sought to be associated with it. It’s like how Belfort named his company ‘Oakmont’ instead of ‘Assholopoulous’, ‘Sleazolini’, ‘Patel & Gupta’, ‘Tyrone Jackson Inc’, ‘Mapache & Gomez Funds’, ‘Wong and Wong Insurance’, ‘United Gypsy Investing’, ‘Tsarnaev Banking’, etc.
As Jews themselves didn’t have the finest reputation in the world in terms of trust, it was useful for Jews to associate themselves with Waspy names and brand. Though Jews have long had a reputation for brains, they were also renowned for the kinds of stuff George Soros pulls all the time. And then, there was Bernie Madoff. One might feel nervous investing in ‘Finkelschwarz & Kahanowicz Capital’. Not due to lack of ability — Madoff was no dummy — but the reputation of some Jews to play it like David Mamet characters.
When Jews were on the rise, they wanted to be seen as waspy, take on the waspy brand, and etc.
And yet, many Jews felt resentment because wasps had the better brand even though Jews had the better brains. Also, if the wasp brand were to maintain its reputation, there had to be certain restraints to greed. And overly ambitious Jews felt hampered and frustrated by that too.
So, guys like Belfort wanted to use the brand but run it totally ragged. But in doing so, the wasp brand became degraded by bad Jewish behavior. Indeed, whatever worth the Wasp brand once had has been tarnished ever since Jews appropriated it and associated it with mounting financial scandals since the late 80s, the really big one hitting in 2008.
But then, same thing happened to Wasp foreign policy brand. Sure, US foreign policy was always kinda dirty, but if we do comparison and contrast, it still looked better than those of most other nations. US seemed to give a fairer shake than Nazi Germany, imperial Japan, French Empire, Russian/Soviet empire, and etc.
Though Wasp-ruled US did favor Israel, Carter did try to reach out to all sides. And there were ‘Arabists’ like James Baker in the GOP who called for balance and fairness. So, US reputation had a certain cachet.
But then, Jews took over foreign policy and then the only kinds of gentiles allowed were toadies and whores. In time, US foreign policy became totally Judeo-Zio-centric, and its reputation has sunk all around the world. Not only has the reputation of Israel reached an all time low, but even Wasp-American reputation sunk with it as Wasps lost all self-confidence and decided merely to play whore to Jewish power.
Anyway, Jews seem to be somewhat schizo about Waspsness and ‘white privilege’.
On the one hand, despite all the crap that’s been said about ‘evil whites’, white gentiles(especially of Northern European extraction) are still the most trusted, admired, and envied people in the world. First of all there was a lot of guilt felt by the Jews who were here before the Holocaust – in truth they did very little to rescue their brothers in Europe. There is the infamous tale of Jan Karski, smuggled out of wartime Poland by the Polish underground at incredible personal risk in order to inform the West of the Holocaust that was then in progress. He went to see Felix Frankfurter, who was then a Supreme Court Justice and the highest placed Jew in the American government and presented him will compelling evidence of the mass murders. Frankfurter told Karski to his face that he didn’t believe him – basically called him a liar. Really what he was saying was that he COULDN’T believe him because if he believed him he would have to confront Roosevelt over this, whereas Roosevelt (to the extent he palled around with a WASPified Jew such as Frankfurter at all) wanted the conversation kept light – they could talk about yachting or baseball while drinking martinis. If he believed him, he would have had to set himself on fire on the steps of the Capitol as a symbolic protest or something like that, and he didn’t want to have to do that. It was easier just to call Karski a liar and leave it at that.

The psychological identification with Jews by older, "red state" type white gentile men who have have little contact with Jews in real life is a fascinating phenomenon and deeply connected to the political impotence of these types.
I once had a jewish female colleague (another nurse). And one time she and I were sitting having lunch with two black females (also nurses). I can’t recall how we got on the subject, but this particular woman, who was a christian convert, told these black women that she was jewish (though a christian convert) and that jews didn’t consider themselves white. Understandably, the black women looked confused and slightly bemused but didn’t press the issue because, I think, they correctly perceived this unpleasant woman–and she was a particularly unpleasant person–was trying to ingratiate herself to them. This was many years ago. Since then I saw Mike Wallace basically make the same case to Morgen Freeman. Based upon jewish political action, it makes sense. Some jews may differ and see themselves as part of the Western tradition and strive to protect it, but I see a great many jews as indifferent at best and hostile at worst to my interests and the interests of my children. And I don’t care if a jew is jewish, christian, atheist or agnostic.
My best friend since I was ten years old was/is half jewish (jewish father, swedish mother) and I remember as a kid overhearing his father and brothers talking about israel with such hyper-ethnic-chauvinism that it made a lasting impression on me. However, there is a fraction of leftist Jews who are intensely politically engaged. These Jews are usually the most intelligent ones (the top 10%). You simply cannot imagine how tenaciously they cling to leftist ideology. Its phenomenal. They embrace it with truly religious fervor. In their minds, being Jewish means holding the prescribed, ancestral leftists beliefs. When I gently inform them about the internal contradictions between their leftist ideology and their support of Israel, they go berserk. It triggers an intense emotion and visceral revulsion, defying any rational thought process.

Also, it's not like there never would have been Communism without Jews. Tsarism kept Russians poor, backwards, and miserable, and the Industrial Revolution created a lot of misery among the working classes. They were going to make some kind of a movement. It was an asian american poll, which is trying to show that indians-americans (not hindu-Americans) are good solid democrats. Although the vietnamese and Philippines Indians are suspect of republican tendencies by the Asian American movement. ALso you've just muslims indians and pakistanis who self identify with Muslim movements rather than Asians.

Second, it is very hard to these polls. The only real way is call 100K people and ask them to self identify. Even with that number you might only get 500 indians. So instead you have to do a few tricks to make a poll affordable. Those tricks really screw up the results. For instance, Indians tend to be highly educated, live in Blue areas, and skew young. All democratic tending statistic.
Third, in terms of core-fringe, while there are some pushes into the fringe (micro-aggressions, high school, country clubs) there are a lot of pushes into the core as well. Being actively discriminated against in medschool is a huge grievance. Taxes are another.

In fact, excepting the Holocaust--which was truly an unprecedented level of barbarism directed at the Jews (though not wildly out of line with a lot of general mass slaughter from that age)--the whole Jewish narrative of perpetual victimhood by European gentiles is nonsense.

Go back 1000 years and my ancestral tree is mostly fully of a bunch of peasant farmers, probably either most or a huge percentage serfs--tied to the land, required to fork over a third of their produce to their lord. Nor had they "freedom of religion". The lived and worshiped according the community's norms. (Deviation--e.g. the Cathars--was not a life enhancing strategy.) I don't consider that oppression--more like "life". But serfdom is at least actual "oppression"--someone commanding your behavior and appropriating your labor.
The Jews on the other hand

I never found this all that convincing. You can cherry-pick all the Jewish Communists all you want, and it’s certainly true that Jews have always been prominent on the left, but Russian Communism was a grab bag of Russian Empire nationalities. Heck, Stalin was a Georgian.
Also, it’s not like there never would have been Communism without Jews. Tsarism kept Russians poor, backwards, and miserable, and the Industrial Revolution created a lot of misery among the working classes. They were going to make some kind of a movement. Second, it is very hard to these polls. The only real way is call 100K people and ask them to self identify. Even with that number you might only get 500 indians. So instead you have to do a few tricks to make a poll affordable. Those tricks really screw up the results. For instance, Indians tend to be highly educated, live in Blue areas, and skew young. All democratic tending statistic.
Third, in terms of core-fringe, while there are some pushes into the fringe (micro-aggressions, high school, country clubs) there are a lot of pushes into the core as well. Being actively discriminated against in medschool is a huge grievance. Taxes are another.

Nor had they “freedom of religion”. The lived and worshiped according the community’s norms. (Deviation–e.g. the Cathars–was not a life enhancing strategy.) I don’t consider that oppression–more like “life”. But serfdom is at least actual “oppression”–someone commanding your behavior and appropriating your labor.
The Jews on the other hand

— had over this 1000 years a much *larger* demographic expansion; they only ended up as Fiddle on the Roof style peasants because they expanded so much relative to the Poles and Russians that they ran out of middle man looting opportunities and had to move onto the land bringing them in direct conflict with the local peasantry
The key point: It is the Jews–not the Gentiles–who *chose* the Jews non-integration into the norms of community life. Those who chose so, did so–i’d imagine–for reasons of racial\religious pride and economic benefit. As a result they were richer than the local populace and had a much much larger demographic expansion … but kept themselves apart. This is not “oppression” it is racial separatism of a middle man minority.

Over the past 30 years there seems to be have been a u-turn in mental health policy, where de-stigmatising mental illness has taken priority over actually trying to treat and reduce it, as if being mentally ill is something desirable. Sure, if someone who is depressed is treated more compassionately by society, they may feel 5-10 percent better about themselves, but they’ll still be depressed if they don’t get treatment.
Why aren’t mental health services identifying people who are more likely to develop mental health problems and introduce empirically tested preventative measures, like introducing them to appropriate CBT techniques in their teens? or getting at risk school kids to do more exercise?
In the past progressives were people who, rightly or wrongly, put an emphasis on solving problems. However, the modern liberal left seems more interested in celebrating or normalising problems. Perhaps a more accurate label for modern progressives would be perverted conservatives, while conservatives should be labelled cautious progressives.

If I came across evidence that O’Reilly had an interest in pro-white issues and took a consistent stance in support of white interests then yes, I really would conclude that he is “essentially a white racialist and nationalist.” The only question up for debate would be just how “hardcore” he is.
