Jennifer Weiner, author of the New York Times oped “I Want to Burn the Frat House of America to the Ground,” is back with a New York Times lament about how emotional, loud, angry women get ignored. (Jennifer Weiner should not be confused with Jennifer Senior, the NYT’s new full time oped columnist and author of the lament “The Jocks Will Inherit the Earth.”)
How Do I Explain Justice Kavanaugh to My Daughters?
The spectacle of this confirmation has reminded us that to many people, women’s suffering is a joke.

… Emotional women, loud women, angry women get ignored.

When will the winning end? Not as long as whiny losers write crap like this.
It’s a very simple explanation:
In what’s left of America, as in all remotely free societies, people are innocent until proven guilty, and unsubstantiated ravings do not constitute probative evidence.
There; that was a quick and easy conversation.
You are ignoring her when she has the right to have her feelings validated.
And in essence you are saying that nothing happened to her.
Blah...blah...blah...I could go on--I didn't even get to the white man/patriarchy/ oppression stuff but it's all so excruciatingly dull.
So, let me get this straight. This author is Jennifer Weiner, Junior? Or Jennifer Junior Weiner?
That’s what I told my daughter, along with “never ever be crude and common” and “You are a Princess so behave like one”. And she grew up to be such a fine person.
I take it Weiner is not offering the advice in this spirit?
If only.
Yeah, because it is unpleasant to be yelled at and disrespected. You can get amazingly far by being nice to people, even faking being nice.
In addition to zero awareness, these people have zero social skills.
Having said that, there is a relatively high correlation.
Emotional, loud, angry women would not be ignored if I was in charge. They would be heavily medicated and institutionalized.
Ah, the button is working correctly again.
Why do you mostly leave it to the commentariat to find pictures of the people you choose to write about? 😉
If she lost a few pounds (not too many actually) she’d likely have a pretty nice figure. Like a lot of women with large boobs the body doesn’t discriminate enough with the fat placement and just sort of throws it to the front abdomen area in general.

One would wish.
If Jews love immigration, this would have been great for them.
FDR would have spread Jewish immigration far and wide… and away from those dreaded Anglo-Irish Jocks.

Even now, Jews can practice immigration and emigrate from Anglo-Jock nations.
But funny how Jews are most attracted to Anglo-Germano-Irish Jock nations.
Why?
Also, we are a wealth-generating machine and they like wealth (OPM).
Correct, I remember when they ignored Serena Williams for this reason. Totally ignored her. Certainly no one praised her for making a scene.
OTOH, emotional men, loud men, angry men do not possess suitable judicial temperament and do not belong on the Supreme Court.
This bit of conventional wisdom will turn out to be as erroneous as when it was applied to the US Presidency. Bring on the emotion and turn up the volume!
Of course, the two situations are not comparable. Williams was playing a game of tennis. Her rôle was to play tennis, keep her mouth shut (or at any rate not badmouth the referees), and abide by the referees' decisions. This is generally called "sportsmanship." (Uh-oh! "Gendered language!"). Kavanaugh was testifying in his defense at a hearing. His rôle was to speak on his behalf, which necessarily in that context means arguing against the accusations. His strident words, if one insists on characterising them as such, were entirely appropriate to the venue. Williams' were not at all. (Indeed, words from her had no place at all in that venue.)
Truly, logic and objective analysis of the matter at hand are to be utterly disregarded in favour of hysterical emotions in the eyes of Weiner et al.. They've no grasp of the concept that what is appropriate in one context may not be appropriate in another. We shout and act a bit silly and obnoxious at parties on New Year's Eve or rock 'n' roll concerts. We keep quiet, or, perhaps, weep and wail (maybe even hysterically; that's okay and understandable) at funerals. We wear shorts to the beach, but suits in courtrooms. And so on. This stuff is not complicated.Replies: @Achmed E. Newman
I wonder how she thinks emotional, loud, and angry men get treated. Pretty sure they get punched in the face more often than they get ignored.

I saw a piece recently taking the position that Williams’ ravings and Kavanaugh’s testimony were comparable but Williams was punished whereas Kavanaugh was not, thus an unfair double standard exists.

I believe those are known as ‘Khazar Milkers’
I think the problem with a lot of these women is basically a failure of socialization. Most of them probably went from the houses of their henpecked fathers, on to ultra-feminist universities, then into the arms of a series of pussy-whipped boyfriends ultimately ending up with the hopelessly beta husband (or “partner” as many of them will unironically insist on calling “him”). They’re so used to men catering to their inane sensibilities and arbitrary whims that any indication of a male spine causes them to short circuit.
The murderous, terroristic rhetoric is also a form of empowerment, I guess? I blame Wonder Woman and Game of Thrones.

I could be wrong, but I thought in Europe (or the UK) newspapers identify with a political orientation and the public knows in advance which way a paper leans. In the USA almost all of the news outlets try to appear as though they are professional, unbiased journalists who just report the facts. But it is clear that this is not the case.
So many more articles and opinions appear in the NYT that take the position Judge K. is bad. They also seem to run many articles where they lament that a small majority (53%) of white women are voting GOP, while ignoring ridiculously lopsided voting by other blocs for the democrats.
They aren’t doing anything illegal, but shouldn’t they come out and admit they are an organ of the democrat party just to eliminate any pretense that they are neutral, unbiased reporters?
I wonder how much of our political situation cones from the number of people who examine their presuppositions versus the number of people whose political thinking is however far they got as they learned to drive.
Part of the Trumpening has been that the mainstream media has been so damned obvious -- and has reacted to its failures by doubling down -- that they require no label.

The other day there was a shill thread on 4chan where the OP claimed to be a real journalist and offered a media analysis that was much less sophisticated than that normally seen on /pol/. It was pretty much what I had when I was a young teenager: check the fine print and we discover that your local paper is owned by, of all the things, a corporation! [throws local paper on the ground] He then repeated the phrase “right wing slant” many times without ever clarifying or giving examples, beyond one in which police corruption was under-reported; the normal /pol/ complaint about media bias takes the form of going straight to examples and letting the preponderance of the evidence do the work.

Mrs. Badwhite said something to this effect the other day. For the record she believes Kav but also said even if Blasey was telling the truth, that it wasn’t that big of a deal – teenage girls going to drinking parties with hormonal teenage boys might have to sometimes fend said boys off. BFD. Now if the boy won’t stop, that’s different.
Blasey squeaked “I thought they were going to rape me”. Mrs. Badwhite: “Yeah? Well they didn’t. That part is important.”
Mrs. Badwhite: “I’m irritated that as a woman I’m supposed to be so fragile and delicate that some boy jumping on me 35 years ago would scar me for life; on the other hand of course I’d make a good Marine or cop”.
Because she didn't go to the police at the time, a real-deal rape claim would have frayed her wide swathe of supporters from a functioning coalition into a status contest about who is more victimized than thou. It's heavier artillery but with the trade-off of laying down a marker. So instead she went with being frightened she would be raped, a/k/a emotional "trauma."

With or without bag?
I can’t imagine why anyone wouldn’t take “women’s suffering” seriously.
I mean, it’s not as if western women are the most privileged demographic in recorded history, with nearly unlimited handouts, set-asides, “women in X” programs, white knights waiting in the wings, instant access to alpha males and safe, air-conditioned, low-responsibility jobs.
It’s not as if most of the women complaining have never gone through the pain of childbirth, and, God willing, probably never will.
It’s not as if western women falsely accuse men of assorted forms of abuse at staggering rates, often for attention or money or to deflect criticism from some terrible thing they themselves did.
It’s not as if western women have made themselves both contestants and referees in the grand game of life, and are still never satisfied at the outcome.
What could it possibly be? Why don’t these terrible bigots automatically hand over their wallets and their balls to the first woman who walks along claiming to have been wronged?
It’s inexplicable.
It’s THIS year!

You men are such bastards! It’s too cold in the office and the women have to wear cardigans! All so the Patriarchy can be comfortable! And don’t get me started on the pea under the mattress …
Like Steve and says about Black three-namers apparently being unaware of the last 50 years (Heather Mac Donald has a related rant), you’d think these female advocates feel that women don’t have the vote and sew all the family clothes. Women in the United States now are pretty near the historical pinacle for the species in their freedom and rights. There’s an analogy to the uncanny valley here, where the closer you get to perfection, the greater whatever shortcoming exists seems to appear, I suppose.
Related to this, women complain that male doctors ignore their medical complaints, which is not true: They are given antidepressants, which treat what is really the problem. But my prediction: Expect more and more female diseases to be “validated” despite the lack of any underlying organic, bacterial, viral, or chemical abnormality. Medicine will become, Believe the Woman! This will play out in the workplace with special rights for “sick” women, and also in the educational sphere. Savvy men will also start to come down with these conditions. Universal basic income may turn out to be unnecessary: Everyone will have the equivalent in lifetime “disability” payments.
This is shocking blame-the-victimism under current standards:
Women have the right to get falling down drunk without getting raped. Demand that the world around you change rather than changing your own behavior!
To get something for cheap or free, you have to convince the owner that his stuff has low value. So, he might as well just hand it over.

Hey….I’m thinking Constitutional Amendment….
Judging from their articles and social media, liberals apparently spend most of their day trying to explain controversial current events to their children. (Or else they can’t think of a less clichéd way to frame their ideas.)
But seriously, just tell them to do their homework and go to bed. Problem solved.
If that doesn’t work, give them the latest edition of the New York Times, which will tell them exactly what to think.
Alright boys, who’s gonna jump on this grenade and make her do a Laci Green here?
Since Kav denied the whole thing ever happened, the controversy naturally ended up being about credibility.
But even in her version it wasn’t a rape or even a plausible attempted rape. Basically some laughing, fully clothed, juvenile wrestling at a party.
Worst case scenario, someone copped a feel of her boobie over her clothes.
Not ideal to be sure. But do we really have to call her a “survivor,” like she was in Auchwitz?

Given the name and the source, I’m sure it all fits seamlessly into what you’ve been teaching them all along. I wouldn’t fret.
‘The spectacle of this confirmation has reminded us that to many people, women’s suffering is a joke.’
To many of us, the notion that Ms. Ford’s rather trivial experience is what constitutes ‘suffering’ is something of a bitter joke.
I am in awe at the lives apparently devoid of real trauma and pain that figures such as Ms. Weiner must live.

Those women get ignored because emotion, loudness and anger are not useful in a court of law; are, in fact, inimical to the process of discovering and administering justice. On the other hand, quiet consideration of verifiable evidence followed by detached deliberation are useful. Perhaps she should try them.

If she lost a few pounds (not too many actually) she'd likely have a pretty nice figure. Like a lot of women with large boobs the body doesn't discriminate enough with the fat placement and just sort of throws it to the front abdomen area in general.

For a moment I thought I was looking at Melania, so tall and elegant. Then I saw her high heels and realized that she was as wide as she was tall and my desire left me.
Problem is, weak-brained liberal women–and that means most of them–have a poor grasp of Logic and take this to mean, “therefore, if I’m not well-behaved, I will make history”. Armed with this bit of sophistry they defend their lack of manners and misbehavior as being the manifestations of Genius and any male who protests is standing in the way of Progress.
Similar to the sign some women hang in their kitchens “A clean house is the sign of a dull woman”. A word of advise; don’t eat there.
Insight from a former girlfriend of mine (an eleven), when you see a woman wearing baggy clothes, it means she’s trying to hide her overweightnessness.
The second I read this article, I thought of this scene.
How do you explain it to your daughters? The same way you undoubtedly explain. abortion, homosexuality is a healthy alternative, and how to be a good transgender advocate. I’m sure you have no trouble explaining any of that to your children. Right after the court justice speech explain how gays make babies.
“reminded us that to many people, women’s suffering is a joke.”
It has forever been thus. Imagine the horror of being impregnated by an incubus and there being doubters?
Having a social support network of like-minded similarly acculturated people who who care for you, believe your stories and defend you is very important, unless of course that support group is whites defending their own culture and people from defamation and scapegoating in which case it is hate.
Advice to ranters:
(If that doesn’t work, then you throw vases. Or shoot people.)

John Lennon once referred to a half-Jewish half-German employee as a “member of the Chosen People and the Master Race.”
Who does this to their children? It appears as a form of child abuse by projecting the parent's child-like insecurity/naivety/disappointment/narcissism/neuroticism on to the child.Replies: @Steve from Detroit
Spot on. This used to be something only a small percentage of people (intellectuals/professors) would do to their children. Now, for liberals, it’s mandatory at all levels and it is bleeding over to people who are not necessarily liberals. We used to live in a society that told children to ignore certain things, but now we can’t ignore anything. Nothing. Everything requires a response, and the more emotional the better. It’s partly due to the ubiquity of the internet and cable news, exacerbated by 10 year old children with phones. Mostly, however, it is the times we live in, over feminization and the fact that no one acts with any comportment anymore.
We have no more grown-ups.
Every parent who has a teenage girl knows the routine. It's a contest. The more emotion that she can bring to a "thing" means that she is right and everyone else is wrong. A perfect paradigm of this is the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation hearing.
This is the price that society pays for gender equality. Going forward, it adds organizational friction and a lot of drama for everything affected by the normalization of women into traditional male activities. However, going forward, women will be close to 50% of the vote ... they are here to stay and they are gluttons for attention.
A way will have to be found to console them when the Male Patriarchy doesn't give them the attention they believe they deserve ... to avoid something as emotional, loud, and angry as the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation hearing.

This is at the root of it. These women have been taught that the highest, most noble status belongs to “victims” and “survivors” and the worst people are “the privileged”. But when they look in the mirror they see someone who looks kind of “privileged” herself – to an outsider (say a black person in the ghetto) the life of a Becky doesn’t seem to be much different or oppressed than that of a Chad. Same house, same nice schools, same access to $, etc. BF seems just as “privileged” as that horrible man, Brett. They have to get some Victim Pokemon Points of their own to put some distance between themselves and Brett and give themselves some street cred with the CotF. Portraying yourself as a “rape survivor” or impaired by the invisible (what is it with these people and invisible?) glass ceiling is a great way to do this.
Where’s the lie, tho? (White) women’s suffering kinda is a joke. At least, the stuff they’re bitching about in Big Media, anyway; real suffering, pleb suffering, is probably way too icky to talk about.

A woman like that will both be glad for the experience and do her best to make up the wife/bang gap with enthusiasm.
When this was being sold circa 1970, the marketing scam was that women were going to gain new freedoms, but in turn be responsible for themselves. Hence they'd actually be like "partners" for men--no longer would be have to pull their weight--and it would be win, win.
LOL.
The freedom part arrived. Actually being responsible for anything? -- even themselves? Fuggetaboutit.
