Compared to Guillermo del Toro, I’m practically Geronimo!

America has a long tradition of bestselling American Indian authors, some of whom even turn out to be somewhat American Indian by ancestry on closer inspection.

From NPR:

‘It Just Felt Very Wrong’: Sherman Alexie’s Accusers Go On The Record

March 5, 2018 3:44 PM ET
Heard on All Things Considered
Lynn Neary

Writer Sherman Alexie last week issued a statement admitting he “has harmed” others, after rumors and allegations began to circulate about sexual harassment. Without providing details, Alexie said “there are women telling the truth,” and he apologized to the people he has hurt. Now, some of those women have come forward to speak to NPR about their experiences with him.

Granted, if you told me Sherman Alexie was Jay Leno’s long-lost brother, I’d probably believe you too. But that’s not the point …

Alexie may not be a household name, but he is one of the country’s best known Native American poets and writers, with a charismatic personality and a large following. He won the National Book Award in 2007 for his young adult novel The Absolutely True Diary of a Part Time Indian, and he wrote the screenplay for the film Smoke Signals, based on one of his stories. So the news about him has rocked the worlds of both Native American and children’s literature.

In those circles, “well, he’s a rock star,” says children’s book author Anne Ursu. …

Granted, being a rock star in affirmative action children’s lit is not quite the same as being a rock star in music, but some of the rewards are evidently the same:

Ursu says some of the most popular kids book writers used the power of their celebrity to seduce women. …

Most of the women wanted to remain anonymous, but a clear pattern emerged: The women reported behavior ranging from inappropriate comments both in private and in public, to flirting that veered suddenly into sexual territory, unwanted sexual advances and consensual sexual relations that ended abruptly. The women said Alexie had traded on his literary celebrity to lure them into uncomfortable sexual situations.

In other words, Mr. Alexie really wasn’t going to divorce Mrs. Alexie like little Miss Homewrecker had gotten her hopes up about.

How come when they keep coming for the next one, he usually turns out to be some member of the Coalition of the Fringes? We were promised Haven Monahan and the Stanford swimmer dude that everybody hates, but we keep getting Harvey Weinstein and some guy who is at least more American Indian than Senator Warren.

Here’s the trailer for the 1998 movie Smoke Signals that Alexie adapated from his book of that name. Several commenters have said it’s pretty good:

  1. I had to watch “Smoke Signals” in school. It was pretty boring, but not offensive.

  2. Sherman Alexie got metooed? Amazing. The guy always comes off as a nerd to me. Admittedly, I’ve liked him every time I’ve heard him on on the radio, but he doesn’t sound all that macho or masculine.

To be fair to Alexie, he isn’t just a run of the mill affirmative action figure. He can actually hold his own as a Pac. NW author, at least given the competition he faces. He admitted that American Indians are more culturally republican than democrat, and explained that their primarily democratic political affiliation is purely economic in nature.

I’m starting to think that a lot of younger white women think are owed extra for sleeping with a POC like Aziz Ansari, Tavis Smiley or Sherman Alexie. These men certainly couldn’t have been their first roll in the hay, so why the sour grapes? Notice also that the white men being accused are uniformly old and/or unattractive (e.g. Weinstein, Rose, Keillor). Accusations against young, good-looking white guys have totally fizzled, probably because other white women would have personally been willing to beat the accusers up for being so presumptuous.

Economics are part of it, but almost all minorities, no matter how culturally conservative, frequently balk at voting for the de facto white man's party.

Up here in Canada, the Conservatives have occasionally has success with courting Inuit and Native voters based on guns and hunting issues. But mostly those groups vote for left leaning parties.

I don't think it's that they deserve extra points for sleeping with a POC. It's that they lash out at whoever they can, and affirmative-action-famous POCs are more vulnerable to internet shame-mobs than non-famous Chads.

They're operating in an environment where "riding the baloney pony" isn't treated or understood as an emotional or a relationship experience, but as a thrill ride with about the emotional content or meaning as riding a first-class roller coaster, a set of pleasurable physical sensations enhanced by good company, but not creating any obligations.

Pump-and-dump is not a fulfilling psychological experience. Modern culture tells them that they're young they're hip they're sexual and they're cool with hookups. Then it happens and--it feels shitty to women. And since the only language they have to process it is "harassment", behavior that used to be classified as "ungentlemanly" or "caddish" or "being a playboy" has to get crammed into the "consent" framework.

The old white men aren't getting dinged because they're old. They're getting dinged because, suddenly, every sexual encounter is playing Russian roulette with your social reputation, and old guys who have been around a long time have rolled the dice more often (even if they didn't know at the time they were rolling the dice.)

James Franco is pretty good looking. He's about 40, which isn't young, but I'm not sure anyone younger than Franco really has had the time with the power to operate that way.

  3. Good call on the real motivations of these women:

They gave him sex hoping to become mistresses in order to become become his wife and that he would drop any wife/girlfriend standing in the way. When he simply moved on, they felt like slutty groupie failures, so its his fault for the bad feelz.

Sigh. I miss those old stories about rock groupies in the 60s and 70s and 80s, who were so thrilled just to spend one night in the arms of their favorite singer they would recount it to their friends for years afterwards. Most didn’t dare dream to become a girlfriend, let alone a wife, of the guys, mostly because they knew they were too slutty and damaged to ask for anything more than one night they were queen of a great musician.

Now any girl who becomes a groupie has such immense shame about it—especially the part where their vagina didn’t magically make a celebrity suddenly disavow every other woman on the planet and become a monogamous brought-to-their-heel husband—-that they turn it into a four-alarm tragedy about how the man was evil and they were pure.

How many of these broads were duped by feminism into thinking they could “have sex like a man” and not develop feelings about it and not have shame for giving up their purity? And how many, when they did get the feelz and did feel shame and loss, suddenly had feminism also telling them that their feelz were caused because the man assaulted them? I would suspect almost all of them.

Women once knew sleeping around pre-marriage was bad, and if they did fall they didn’t kiss-and-tell about it, but kept it buried, unless it was found out and they looked bad, in which case they’d scream rape. But for the most part, groupies used to be the kind of outlier women who were so broken that having a one-night-stand wouldn’t damage them any more than they already were. Now feminists have unbroken women to break themselves on the wheels of the cock carousel, and somehow, its all a man’s fault.

    Stupid sluts.

My favorite fake Indian has to be Asa Earl Carter, a 1950s Ku Klux Klan leader and speech writer for George Wallace, responsible for the line, “Segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever.” Disenchanted with Wallace after he went squishy on the race issue, he later reinvented himself as Cherokee writer Forrest Carter. His young-adult pseudo-memoir The Education of Little Tree (1976) topped the Times paperback best-seller lists (both non-fiction and fiction), and won the American Booksellers Book of the Year award.

  9. I think we’ve found a new most ridiculous category of sexual offense: “consensual sexual relations that ended abruptly.”

Aren’t the progressives constantly telling us that consent can be immediately withdrawn at any time, for any reason, without any explanation, and that no one is ever entitled to sex?

  10. Nothing spells violent rape and the war on women like “and consensual sexual relations that ended abruptly” when it isn’t the woman who ended the relationship. For that he needs to be erased from history.

  11. We really do need White Sharia law. White women insist they must be protected 24/7 from anything that isn’t optimal for them. They want us to understand that they have no ability to handle any issue on their own without being traumatized. Once they are no longer allowed out of the house without being fully covered and a male relation as an escort, women will finally have achieved freedom and equality.

It's true; women are way more juvenile.

I once dated a grown woman who insisted we wait in line, in Times Square in New York, for the midnight release of a Harry Potter novel. I felt danged creepy being in line there with the kids up way up past their bedtime...and a number of single childless women.

It's long been noted how women never really mature past their childhood years in many ways. This, of course, makes them better at staying at home with youngsters than men, since men can't get into the mindset of children so easily.

I think women are more motivated by fads - it is reading as a social experience. That's why women dominate reading groups at libraries. But it is also the emotional drama and relationships inside YA books that attracts them. They are the main drivers behind the movies too.

It has something to do with sex/gender differences: https://www.salon.com/2011/06/28/stopped_reading_fiction/

    “I’ve stopped reading fiction”
    .........
Some people don't like fiction and never have. That's quite different from having once read fiction avidly and then, in the fullness of time, giving it up.
    .................
Perhaps, like McCarthy, Roth has simply lost interest. (McCarthy once said that he found reading fiction "a rather odd thing to do.") Non-writers who have bailed on novels and short stories often say they've exhausted their patience for flagrantly "untrue" narratives. One blogger explained it thus: "I put it down to having experienced enough real life narrative and drama such that made-up stories no longer appeal."

There's a school of evolutionary anthropology that might agree with him. It speculates that fictional storytelling -- a universal cultural practice -- helps people imagine what others are thinking and feeling, and consequently how they might behave in the future. The value of such skills when it comes to navigating complex social groups is obvious, but perhaps people do reach a saturation point with age. No other artistic form can surpass the novel's ability to immerse us in the inner life of another human being, yet there may come a stage when that prospect promises nothing new.

Because of this, we should adopt the term Amerindian. I'd go with Aborigines myself, as that is the proper term. Native American makes a claim of exclusive and eternal nativity that serves the agenda of our displacement.

Alexie's book never struck me as YA material. I read it as an adult (airport purchase book), and, was moved/pained by what he experienced as a child and a teen on the Rez in Washington; and, going off to a mostly, white HS...because his relatives wanted him to - because; college.

I found his book, The Absolute Diary...., to be very similar to Hillbilly Elegy - loved both. And, the fact that both men have gotten amazingly famous (and of course, rich) over pouring their fracking guts out in their biographies, is also similar. They don't spare their relatives at all - this, really surprised me...especially, since some are actually, alive. My relatives would have cut my throat if I ever wrote stuff about them, like Alexie and Vance did.

All my life I have run into dumb-ass women and liberal women who chase the magic Indians (Asians included)...or black men, ethnic men (ethnicity other than their own) because of some sick desire to come across as being so inclusive, intersectional, and all....so loving and super understanding. Most people condescend to ethnic groups other than their own- remember, Unz boys, how much I hated the cover of the NYT with the naked Estonian woman and her sons? Haha

I feel like Sherman is still the same cigar store Indian that says, "yeah, blame me, we lost, and we are so pathetically, forgotten." He doesn't know how to fight angry white or black chicks (don't know who the canoodelers are as far as race) ...so he caves and loses, once again.

I know I often say I hate women; however, this is another perfect example of the skewering, of yet, another man. Women get off too easy when they say: just not feeling it...And, men, lose their careers because they wake up in the morning and feel, "I'm not that into her." The number of times I had regret sex when I was young, is even to the number of times the guy was crazy about me as dawn broke. No one's life should be destroyed because they didn't fall in love when temptation called/when you were muskrats. https://youtu.be/KgCk3bnvO5Y

I told my sons: don't get involved with anyone...especially in the USA.

Icelandic, Kiwi women, Japanese, Korean are ok. But, no North Americans and Europeans anymore - they are all crazy losers and harpies. Sigh, who do I give my valuables to? I have pretty jewelry and stuff.

Funny. The crack about Kate Winslet's age was muy cruel.

Actually, although I didn't see Divergent, it looks more intelligent than The Hunger Games, which was the American (i.e. dumber) ripoff of Japan's far superior Battle Royale.

This movie just seems to tell the truth about what it is to be a kid nowadays: endless tests and tracking into an empty adulthood.

It’s true; women are way more juvenile.

I once dated a grown woman who insisted we wait in line, in Times Square in New York, for the midnight release of a Harry Potter novel. I felt danged creepy being in line there with the kids up way up past their bedtime…and a number of single childless women.

It’s long been noted how women never really mature past their childhood years in many ways. This, of course, makes them better at staying at home with youngsters than men, since men can’t get into the mindset of children so easily.

"Women are directly adapted to act as the nurses and educators of our early childhood, for the simple reason that they themselves are childish, foolish, and short-sighted—in a word, are big children all their lives, something intermediate between the child and the man, who is a man in the strict sense of the word. Consider how a young girl will toy day after day with a child, dance with it and sing to it; and then consider what a man, with the very best intentions in the world, could do in her place."

I think women are more motivated by fads – it is reading as a social experience. That’s why women dominate reading groups at libraries. But it is also the emotional drama and relationships inside YA books that attracts them. They are the main drivers behind the movies too.

If you ever really want to laugh flip through a few pages of one of those Harlequin Romance books. I once did it in a foreign language – not my best one – and I was still chuckling.

Sherman Alexie got metooed? Amazing. The guy always comes off as a nerd to me. Admittedly, I've liked him every time I've heard him on on the radio, but he doesn't sound all that macho or masculine.

To be fair to Alexie, he isn't just a run of the mill affirmative action figure. He can actually hold his own as a Pac. NW author, at least given the competition he faces. He admitted that American Indians are more culturally republican than democrat, and explained that their primarily democratic political affiliation is purely economic in nature.

I'm starting to think that a lot of younger white women think are owed extra for sleeping with a POC like Aziz Ansari, Tavis Smiley or Sherman Alexie. These men certainly couldn't have been their first roll in the hay, so why the sour grapes? Notice also that the white men being accused are uniformly old and/or unattractive (e.g. Weinstein, Rose, Keillor). Accusations against young, good-looking white guys have totally fizzled, probably because other white women would have personally been willing to beat the accusers up for being so presumptuous.

Economics are part of it, but almost all minorities, no matter how culturally conservative, frequently balk at voting for the de facto white man’s party.

  38. This is hilarious:

The women reported behavior ranging from inappropriate comments both in private and in public, to flirting that veered suddenly into sexual territory, unwanted sexual advances and consensual sexual relations that ended abruptly.

    Let’s see…

Inappropriate comments! Wow, how terrible. A guy who doesn’t know what to say to a girl he likes.

Flirting veering into sexual territory. A guy who misjudges whether or not a woman is attracted to him. A crime, because women are so very consistent and clear about what the hell they want.

    Unwanted sexual advances. See above.

And here’s the really really bad one: Consensual sexual relations ending abruptly. Now, it’s not clear whether they are talking about premature ejaculation, or lack of after-play and hugging, or him hopping out of bed and never calling her again, or him not proposing marriage. In any case, men be advised: If you decide it’s over before she does, you are a bad man.

Alexie’s book never struck me as YA material. I read it as an adult (airport purchase book), and, was moved/pained by what he experienced as a child and a teen on the Rez in Washington; and, going off to a mostly, white HS…because his relatives wanted him to – because; college.

I found his book, The Absolute Diary…., to be very similar to Hillbilly Elegy – loved both. And, the fact that both men have gotten amazingly famous (and of course, rich) over pouring their fracking guts out in their biographies, is also similar. They don’t spare their relatives at all – this, really surprised me...especially, since some are actually, alive. My relatives would have cut my throat if I ever wrote stuff about them, like Alexie and Vance did.

All my life I have run into dumb-ass women and liberal women who chase the magic Indians (Asians included)…or black men, ethnic men (ethnicity other than their own) because of some sick desire to come across as being so inclusive, intersectional, and all….so loving and super understanding. Most people condescend to ethnic groups other than their own– remember, Unz boys, how much I hated the cover of the NYT with the naked Estonian woman and her sons? Haha

I feel like Sherman is still the same cigar store Indian that says, “yeah, blame me, we lost, and we are so pathetically, forgotten.” He doesn’t know how to fight angry white or black chicks (don’t know who the canoodelers are as far as race) …so he caves and loses, once again.

I know I often say I hate women; however, this is another perfect example of the skewering, of yet, another man. Women get off too easy when they say: just not feeling it…And, men, lose their careers because they wake up in the morning and feel, “I’m not that into her.” The number of times I had regret sex when I was young, is even to the number of times the guy was crazy about me as dawn broke. No one’s life should be destroyed because they didn’t fall in love when temptation called/when you were muskrats.

I told my sons: don’t get involved with anyone…especially in the USA.

Icelandic, Kiwi women, Japanese, Korean are ok. But, no North Americans and Europeans anymore – they are all crazy losers and harpies. Sigh, who do I give my valuables to? I have pretty jewelry and stuff.

Feeling my age. The Sexual Revolution was in full swing (pun intended) before I hit puberty, but I still got warned by my family that some guys would pretend to care about you, or even temporarily convince themselves they did, to get something. Not that you had to mistrust all men, just that you had to be aware that if you have a non-marital relationship, you take the risk that it may not turn serious. Even moving in together doesn't guarantee commitment.

Fame is an aphrodisiac, so when non-lefty men get some, they get laid a lot more, but they don't fall down into creepiness. But SJW men tend to spazz out when women start liking them---because it's never happened before--- and go full-on Hugh Hefner and assume that every woman wants them, no matter what she's doing.

Harvey Weinstein, this Alexie dude, that Hispanic professor from Harvard whose bad behavior was written up in the Chronicle of Higher Education---all of them SJW/low sociosexual rank guys, all got famous (and power), and all started abusing it like a mofo till the creepiness innate in them overcame whatever attraction the women had.

Don’t forget “flirting that veered suddenly into sexual territory”. Young women today are helpless against this kind of criminal male behavior, however much their mothers may have enjoyed it.

  64. @Buzz Mohawk
    This is hilarious:

The women reported behavior ranging from inappropriate comments both in private and in public, to flirting that veered suddenly into sexual territory, unwanted sexual advances and consensual sexual relations that ended abruptly.

    Let's see...

Inappropriate comments! Wow, how terrible. A guy who doesn't know what to say to a girl he likes.

Flirting veering into sexual territory. A guy who misjudges whether or not a woman is attracted to him. A crime, because women are so very consistent and clear about what the hell they want.

    Unwanted sexual advances. See above.

And here's the really really bad one: Consensual sexual relations ending abruptly. Now, it's not clear whether they are talking about premature ejaculation, or lack of after-play and hugging, or him hopping out of bed and never calling her again, or him not proposing marriage. In any case, men be advised: If you decide it's over before she does, you are a bad man.

No, it's more about setting a low level of behavior from the start, and then she has nothing to complain about later.

Men who act white knighty or left-wing-pure are still, somewhere, men on the inside. So when the miracle occurs and they finally get what appears to be a willing woman, the woman freaks because the guy obeys his instincts and acts like a man trying to mate.

In contrast, a boor is expected to act like a boor, and so women aren't "shocked" when he goes for it with them. It's when he acts a little chivalrous that suddenly she's surprised, but this time, pleasantly.

These Left-wing men have set such high bars for their behavior that its too hard to maintain, and they end up deviating, and the women curse them for it.

And women, contra to what they claim, seldom "dump" the assholes. The guys usually wander off with a hotter chick, or get caught cheating, or do the breaking up themselves, or ghost, and the women tend to make up ego-soothing tales about how they actually were the dumper.

Interestingly...for Whites, assuming an average IQ of 100 and a standard deviation of 15, then about 2.1% can be expected to make the Mensa threshold.

With Ashkenazi Jews, assuming an average IQ of 112, then 11%, on average, will make the Mensa threshold.

    Replies: @Flip

“Women are directly adapted to act as the nurses and educators of our early childhood, for the simple reason that they themselves are childish, foolish, and short-sighted—in a word, are big children all their lives, something intermediate between the child and the man, who is a man in the strict sense of the word. Consider how a young girl will toy day after day with a child, dance with it and sing to it; and then consider what a man, with the very best intentions in the world, could do in her place.”

A key question is whether the recent downturn in Norway and elsewhere suggests the global phenomenon may soon end, too.

Perhaps, like McCarthy, Roth has simply lost interest. (McCarthy once said that he found reading fiction “a rather odd thing to do.”) Non-writers who have bailed on novels and short stories often say they’ve exhausted their patience for flagrantly “untrue” narratives. One blogger explained it thus: “I put it down to having experienced enough real life narrative and drama such that made-up stories no longer appeal.”

There’s a school of evolutionary anthropology that might agree with him. It speculates that fictional storytelling — a universal cultural practice — helps people imagine what others are thinking and feeling, and consequently how they might behave in the future. The value of such skills when it comes to navigating complex social groups is obvious, but perhaps people do reach a saturation point with age. No other artistic form can surpass the novel’s ability to immerse us in the inner life of another human being, yet there may come a stage when that prospect promises nothing new.

    Replies: @iffen, @Thursday, @Discordiax

I don’t think it’s that they deserve extra points for sleeping with a POC. It’s that they lash out at whoever they can, and affirmative-action-famous POCs are more vulnerable to internet shame-mobs than non-famous Chads.

They’re operating in an environment where “riding the baloney pony” isn’t treated or understood as an emotional or a relationship experience, but as a thrill ride with about the emotional content or meaning as riding a first-class roller coaster, a set of pleasurable physical sensations enhanced by good company, but not creating any obligations.

Pump-and-dump is not a fulfilling psychological experience. Modern culture tells them that they’re young they’re hip they’re sexual and they’re cool with hookups. Then it happens and–it feels shitty to women. And since the only language they have to process it is “harassment”, behavior that used to be classified as “ungentlemanly” or “caddish” or “being a playboy” has to get crammed into the “consent” framework.

The old white men aren’t getting dinged because they’re old. They’re getting dinged because, suddenly, every sexual encounter is playing Russian roulette with your social reputation, and old guys who have been around a long time have rolled the dice more often (even if they didn’t know at the time they were rolling the dice.)

Most didn't dare dream to become a girlfriend, let alone a wife, of the guys, mostly because they knew they were too slutty and damaged to ask for anything more than one night they were queen of a great musician.

Now any girl who becomes a groupie has such immense shame about it---especially the part where their vagina didn't magically make a celebrity suddenly disavow every other woman on the planet and become a monogamous brought-to-their-heel husband----that they turn it into a four-alarm tragedy about how the man was evil and they were pure.

How many of these broads were duped by feminism into thinking they could "have sex like a man" and not develop feelings about it and not have shame for giving up their purity? And how many, when they did get the feelz and did feel shame and loss, suddenly had feminism also telling them that their feelz were caused because the man assaulted them? I would suspect almost all of them.

Women once knew sleeping around pre-marriage was bad, and if they did fall they didn't kiss-and-tell about it, but kept it buried, unless it was found out and they looked bad, in which case they'd scream rape. But for the most part, groupies used to be the kind of outlier women who were so broken that having a one-night-stand wouldn't damage them any more than they already were. Now feminists have unbroken women to break themselves on the wheels of the cock carousel, and somehow, its all a man's fault.

    Stupid sluts.

SJW men who get fame tend to exceedingly overplay their hand, and their residual creepiness actually overcomes the celebrity in some cases, as we’re seeing here.

Fame is an aphrodisiac, so when non-lefty men get some, they get laid a lot more, but they don’t fall down into creepiness. But SJW men tend to spazz out when women start liking them—because it’s never happened before— and go full-on Hugh Hefner and assume that every woman wants them, no matter what she’s doing.

Harvey Weinstein, this Alexie dude, that Hispanic professor from Harvard whose bad behavior was written up in the Chronicle of Higher Education—all of them SJW/low sociosexual rank guys, all got famous (and power), and all started abusing it like a mofo till the creepiness innate in them overcame whatever attraction the women had.

Wakanda IS real. The Mensa Bulletin (membership approx .001% negro) says so:

If the American Black average IQ is 85 - which is a number that keeps popping up, given MENSA level requirement of an IQ of 130 or more and a standard deviation of 15, the percentage of American Blacks that reach that threshold pans out at 0.001%, an order of magnitude fewer than your number. Maybe the US Black Mensa cohort is boosted disproportionately by smart Nigerian Igbos or maybe Mensa attracts clever blacks disproportionately.

So in the US general population, on average, there will be one Mensa level Black in every 2,100, one Mensa level White in every 50 and one Mensa level Ashkenazi Jew in every 9.

    Reality aint PC.

The decision to separate the Complainant and the Respondent "balanc[ed] the need for the Complainant to be free of intimidation against the [Respondents'] right to due process." The Court also rejected the Plaintiffs' claim of bias, dismissing the idea that the Chair's work with Rape Response Services would make her "unable to be a fair and neutral judge as to whether a sexual assault had happened."'

my son is going through the Title IX process right now at his college, as the complainer. Turns out predatory homosexuals are even more brazen than Title IX anticipated. Oh, one can make an “anonymous” tip, even on behalf of someone else, but the homo creep will know who it was.

They wanted the kids to read Title IX and get trained in it thoroughly, now let’s see if it applies equally to the homos. I keep wondering when this volcano will blow, that is, all the young men who’ve had to endure the aggressive advances of male predators. Do they count in #metoo?

Probably not. Don't be surprised if your son gets a talking to about his "lack of sensitivity," even if all he said was, "No, thanks, not interested."

If the creep kept it up until your son told him off, esp. if your son threatened to defend himself physically if the guy doesn't stop trying to touch him, I guarantee they will try to accuse your son of Toxic Masculinity. He might be able to weasel out of it by bursting into tears and saying the creep reminds him of his abusive gym teacher/neighbor/Uncle Strangelove and he's suffering PTSD every time creep comes near him and creep should Respect his Space, but there's always a risk in using Newspeak when fending off the Thought Police.

I am so glad I dropped out of college. If I have the ability I'll get some stuff from Khan Academy but I will never go back to a university. I love that these people have absolutely no sense of scale at all.

He admitted that American Indians are more culturally republican than democrat, and explained that their primarily democratic political affiliation is purely economic in nature.

In my entire life I have never seen a tribe endorse anything but democrat politicians. I have been to a few press the flesh events on a res. The last one I was at the politician had one very visible Indian assistant she tried to keep pushing front and center.

The assistant spent her time trying to chat up the local cop. It didn’t matter she had a ‘D’ behind her name she got the endorsement.

Here is an article about the 2011 federal election in Canada:
    https://www.thestar.com/news/canada/2011/05/03/7_aboriginal_mps_elected.html
That was a Conservative majority election. Currently all Native and Inuit MPs are with left-wing parties.

I believe the US has had a Republican and Native senator Ben Nighthorse Campbell from Colorado.

Actually, although I didn’t see Divergent, it looks more intelligent than The Hunger Games,

Other way round. Hunger Games was smarter than Divergent .....and Hunger Games was dumber than a box of rocks.....

Yeah, I was just saying one sounded less dumb than the other.

But Battle Royale was a great movie. So superior to Hunger Games it's not even the same league.

He wasn't actually the target. The target is a weak, confused, silent type who won't tell the predator to go to Hell. But who wants to watch this behavior repeatedly? Particularly in a dorm setting. The mantra is, "see something, say something", so he did. He has a forceful personality and little social fear.

But this episode makes me wonder about so many men who are too embarrassed to speak up when other men harass them. They're too nice to take a swing or even cuss the other guy out, so they suffer silently. Sounds like all the propaganda the homos put out about how THEY suffer society's indignities.
