Where do you begin with how bizarre this ad is. The initial argument is that Britain should stick with the EU because they have a genetic connection to other white Europeans but then turns 180 with the black chick who says that Europe is a part of her because she believes in “people coming together.”
So the DNA connection doesn’t mean a thing? So if I say, Europe can piss off because “I don’t like douchey French accents,” wouldn’t that have just as much validity.
Does DNA matter or not? Apparently not if you’re going to include someone of African decent, so why bring up the 60% thing.
Also, aren’t Brits and Irish genetically almost identical? So Ireland should reunite with Britain? I mean, they’re a lot more than 60% similar.

One wonders at what specific time periods during the past 2,000 years Britain has been introduced to non-European DNA.
TPTB must have calculated that 60/40 is the optimal ratio to balance their two desired-but-conflicting outcomes:
1) Augment the Cheddar Man brainwashing of Britons to make them subconsciously think they are 40% not white, adding to the lie that their Cheddar cheesy ancestor was not white
2) Make them think that they are mostly “European” and only 40% British Islander, or something like that, so they will feel like their country really should be joined with those other Europeans.
It’s a twisted kind of doublethink deceit in which “40%” has two opposite meanings, black and white.
And it is deliberate.
What they say about the devious people who are pulling this crap on us must be true. They must really be smarter and more clever than us to set mind traps like that.

Correction: Actually, if the British buy into the black Cheddar Man lie, then “40%” means black in both cases. Subconsciously at least, victims of this propaganda will have some sense that they are 40% black and 60% white, with the white part being European.
They are being told to politically rejoin their white brothers in Europe while simultaneously letting more of their non-white brothers into their country.

If you go back to one of Michael Moore's movies, I think it was Bowling for Columbine but it might have been one of his post-TV Nation shows, he runs a repetition of local news broadcasts noting that "the suspect was a black male" (because it was). His argument was that accurate news reporting revives racism.
Apparently the news media heard and agreed because a while back they stopped reporting the race of nonwhite suspects. That resulted in people noticing what they were doing and propagating Coulter's Law. Now maybe they're just giving up altogether.

Right, they mean the rest is what they classify as British Isles. By European they mean continential Europe.
They're not only playing fast and loose with what constitutes a European, but what constitutes a Briton, too.
I can’t even fathom WTF an ad like that is supposed to mean, but I can cite my own personal example to suggest it’s a crock of shit.
My mother has done a lot of genealogy. Virtually all of her lineage traces back to Britain or at least so far back in US history to a time when most Americans were of British stock, and with surnames and places of settlement to suggest British ancestry. So she takes one of those ancestry tests. What does it tell her? That she is 45% British and 50% “Northwest European.” All the “Northwest European” really means, I’ll wager, is that they can’t break it out into DNA that is specifically, uniquely British.
If anything the significance of all this is the very opposite of how they’re playing it. To be able to state that 45% of one’s DNA (in the case of my mom) is uniquely British, and distinct from the rest of the Northwest European gene pool, actually suggests a *lot* of separation between Britain and Europe, rather than a little.
I’m guessing it means Huguenots, Belgians, Flemish and Norman retainers made a pretty big mark on the British DNA pool. They would have been richer than Anglo Saxons so it makes sense they had reproductive success. Also British colonists to America were disproportionately from London.
Her results came back as 80% Europe West and 15% Irish/Scotland/Wales with 3% East Europe and 1% Great Britain. I found one Welsh ancestor, but it is so far back you would expect her to be about as Welsh as Elizabeth Warren is Cherokee. We haven't found any Irish or Scottish ancestors. Even if they count all the Norman ancestry as French, they still would have mixed other English families based on the surnames we found in the family tree. I understand the concept of inheriting certain DNA markers from each parent, but don't understand how they divide each group.Replies: @JollyOldSoul
I have no time for these services and anyone who gives them money: they have admitted that they are activist hoaxes (you do not get to call yourself a scientist and then admit that you will tamper with your results for a political end), and their real practical purpose is to obtain genetic information — both in the sense of collecting data and in the sense that whatever you give them is copyrighted and owned by them. If your genes turn out to be valuable later, but you are a 23andMe customer, then someone other than you is making money, and you will never have any claim to that money. And here they are using incredibly useless language to push a political position, that’s how science works, right? Also, 23andMe spammed 4chan with “viral marketing” (stolen advertising), on an almost hourly basis, for two years. These companies are Theranos with a better basic concept but just as much honesty and competence.
For what it’s worth, the largest statue in the UK is not of a human or a god, but of two horses:

I take it not many progressives have read The 10,000 Year Explosion, otherwise they wouldn’t be trying to advertise the possibility that skin colour can change quite dramatically in humans in less than 10,000 years. 1) The people who voted Brexit are the same people who oppose inmigration -- especially Muslim immigration -- and multiculturalism. By contrast, those in favour of immigration (especially non-white) and multiculturalism voted remain

Flying from California to Portland, you could see Mt. Lassen, Mt. Shasta, Mt. Manzanar (Crater Lake), Mt. Hood, and, north in Washington, Mt. St. Helens. (Maybe I missed one?) They are very large and much in a straight line regularly spaced — quite memorable to see from an airplane.
They are just trying to sell their product. People have no interest in their product because we all know where our families are from. I don’t need a DNA test to tell me where my family are from, because I know the counties my grandparents grew up in, and prior to that people really didn’t move around much. It's been all downhill since the Parliament Act of 1911. When Britain started debasing the Lords, the people who had the biggest stake in maintaining the United Kingdom (and Empire for that matter) no longer had much stake in its fortunes, so of course they go along with and even promote some of the nonsense that is destroying Britain, where once they could and would have stopped it. As for the Crown, it was neutered in the 1700s.

All the "Northwest European" really means, I'll wager, is that they can't break it out into DNA that is specifically, uniquely British.
If anything the significance of all this is the very opposite of how they're playing it. That’s actually a very high percentage of British DNA for an American. I took the test and expected to get 25-40 percent British based on my paper trail and I only got 2 percent. However my Scandinavian and Irish ancestry showed up in accordance with the paper trail, around 8 and 30 percent. But most of the remainder of my DNA was Western European, which I thought based on the paper trail would only be 25 percent or so at most.
I’m guessing it means Huguenots, Belgians, Flemish and Norman retainers made a pretty big mark on the British DNA pool. They would have been richer than Anglo Saxons so it makes sense they had reproductive success. Also British colonists to America were disproportionately from London.

I don’t understand how they determine their classifications for each group. We recently had my wife’s DNA test come back from Ancestry. Based on genealogy, I figured she would come back at about 1/3 Great Britain. We can verify that she is descended from Mayflower passengers and has another line that goes back to Normans who settled in England after the conquest.
Her results came back as 80% Europe West and 15% Irish/Scotland/Wales with 3% East Europe and 1% Great Britain. I found one Welsh ancestor, but it is so far back you would expect her to be about as Welsh as Elizabeth Warren is Cherokee. We haven’t found any Irish or Scottish ancestors. Even if they count all the Norman ancestry as French, they still would have mixed other English families based on the surnames we found in the family tree. I understand the concept of inheriting certain DNA markers from each parent, but don’t understand how they divide each group.

Derb’s take is a great, enjoyable read, but also, I think that the artist’s impression of Cheddar Man’s skin is too Negroid. It’s shiny. The artist’s impressions of the Spanish guy was more of a deep tan. What’s changed since Spanish Man and Cheddar Man? Society.
Sub-Saharan African (in other words, Negroid) skin is a special adaption that I read about somewhere, sorry, forget where. It has a glossiness. Other dark-skinned people don’t have this glossiness. It isn’t clear what they mean by “average British person.” Since they have a “diverse” crop of people talking to the camera, I assume they don’t mean “white British person.” A quick search tells me that 87% of the UK population is supposed to be “White British.” The anti-Brexit ad says “average,” but in statistics, average is not “typical” or “probable.”
If you have 10 marbles, with 8 being pure white and 2 being pure black, you could assign “color points” to each marble. Each marble has 10 points of black or white. So you calculate that the “average” marble has 8 white points and 2 black points. But the truth is there are *no* marbles in the scenario that meet this description. Obviously, the more black marbles you introduce into this situation, the more you dilute the statistical “whiteness” of the white marble population. Using a statistical average is a kind of slight-of-hand (assuming this is what they have done.)
Real world DNA is way more messy than this abstract black/white example I give. (Those white Brits are not 100%, to begin with.) But you see the principle. You “fold in” that 13% of the UK population (Chinese, Pakistani, whatever) who have very high (approaching 100%) non-European DNA, then act like the increasing number of immigrant non-white Brits makes the white Brits “less white.” This 13 % alone won’t explain the “60 percent” claim by itself, but I’ll bet it’s part of what’s going into that claim.

Europe is unlikely to be overrun by Muslims because Muslims don’t like capitalism, aren’t docile workers, and dislike both Western liberalism and western religious conservatism. 1) The people who voted Brexit are the same people who oppose inmigration — especially Muslim immigration — and multiculturalism. By contrast, those in favour of immigration (especially non-white) and multiculturalism voted remain

To me this suggests that the DNA they can’t classify as specifically British is just going into a larger bucket called “Northwest European” or whatever. A Corbyn government post-Brexit wouldn’t be the end of the world. By definition, if you accept the idea of nationalisation you accept the idea of the nation. But more to the point, we can vote out Corbyn, but we get very few chances to vote out the European Commission.
Nor do "we" the people vote for the national politicians who sit on the Council of Ministers. They are appointed by the Prime Minister and vote according to his/her instructions.
And if the majority of ministers vote against the wishes of a national government and its population, that's "democracy" EU style.

During the period of the heaviest trafficking of unwanted or accidental infants/children, ’40s to ’70s approx, a lot of non-Jewish kids were adopted into Jewish families, often via “family doctors” who provided illegal abortion services in some cases and sotto voce placement of the infant in others. (Some Planned Parenthood/pro-Roe v Wade folks I knew in the ’70s claimed they pushed for legalizing abortion in part to stanch this infant trafficking.)
Some of it must have resulted in genetic tension.

Adoption is great if the genetic origin of the biological and adoptive parents can be fairly close. Let’s stand Occam’s Razor on its head … which is more likely: A series of legislative, judicial and executive blunders over decades that have brought a once mighty empire to its knees; or, a well organised cabal deciding to destroy that empire from within.
It’s been all downhill since the Parliament Act of 1911. When Britain started debasing the Lords, the people who had the biggest stake in maintaining the United Kingdom (and Empire for that matter) no longer had much stake in its fortunes, so of course they go along with and even promote some of the nonsense that is destroying Britain, where once they could and would have stopped it. As for the Crown, it was neutered in the 1700s.
We had nationalised railways, buses, steel, coal, power, gas, water, nuclear, phones, post, even a few state-owned pubs (in Carlisle) right up until the Thatcher administration. Life for working people was improving during most of those years. And my water bills are ten times what they were.
No government can commit its successors, they’ll have a hard time changing that, in fact an impossible one. Only possibility is ‘poison pill’ e.g. where government gives someone a long term contract with punitive terms for early termination. A lot easier to do with a privatised entity than a nationalised one.
My main worry with Corbyn is that he might open the borders even more, a la Merkel.
