It is easy to over-generalize Christianity in its service and as an appendage to Judaism-which it certainly is; but only the Western versions. Russian Orthodoxy has no such hinderances or contamination, as does the pan Orthodox religion.

My reading of our conversation is that in essence we are both really seeking to say the same thing.

Where we appear to differ seems to be in our interpretation of language and choice of emphasis, as we both use terminology with which the other is unfamiliar and each display our own unique standpoints and choice of emphasis.

I have a background in the works of the mythologist Joseph Campbell and the psychology of Carl Jung. Both of whom speak of the importance of “myth” to our inner grounding, particularly on a cultural and social level. So when I speak of myth I am oriented to think of it as, given adequate depth of interpretation, and in some particular cases, opening a pathway to our full self embrace as Source.

This I find potentially very valuable and useful, particularly on a social level, as we are all awakening at our own pace and with varying capacities for assimilation of universality. So I see myth as POTENTIALLY providing a language system that facilitates group mind to move closer and closer to the outer edge of the Overlay and eventually beyond it to shared full awakening to Source. So I am inclined to refrain from holding all myth as by definition completely confined within what you call the Overlay. I would call that the field of entrapment in mass ignorance – i.e, collective ego denial.

Putin probably has little interest in taking over the western part of Ukraine, since he would have to constantly deal with hostile Ukrainians. The same is not true of the eastern part of the country. The eastern part of the country has many Russian speakers who tend to be pro-Russia. Things were then made worse by the new government banning Russian as an official language in the east and the massacre of pro-Russia trade unionists in Odessa by supporters of the new government.
