The seasonal madness overtook mankind. In years to pass, it will be remembered as a new Witch Hunt, but on a global scale. The Salem affair engulfed a small town in a remote British colony, while the Corona lockdown broke the back of the global economy, pauperised millions, imprisoned three billion people, caused uncounted suicides and misery. It could be compared with World War One, when the West at the peak of its historic achievement rushed towards its self-destruction for reasons so feeble that none of the contemporary actors was able to explain them convincingly.

The madness is fuelled by fear of death. Death, this normal occurrence for our ancestors, a peaceful transformation, when the discarded body is laid to rest in the churchyard after the soul has departed to its Creator, became the worst thing to happen to man, a disaster to be avoided at all costs, because there is no hereafter, no Creator for the soul to return to, but only here and now. They embarked on the War on Death, as our colleague CJ Hopkins observed. Trying to escape death, mankind inflicted upon itself a mortal wound.

It is no coincidence that the only sane Western state, Sweden, avoided the First and the Second World Wars, and the terrible Corona self-destruction as well. I write these words in Sweden, where schools and kindergartens still operate normally, and parents do not get mad at their irritating youngsters; shops and pubs are open, the churches celebrate mass or services, and people are free to roam in the parks and bountiful forests. Just compare Sweden with its big neighbour: Swedes now spend 43% more time in the parks than usual, while in Germany their people spend 50% less time than usual.

The Germans are subject to fines: it is 500 Euro if you visit your relatives or friends; the same if three or more persons get together; the same if you stand at six feet distance or less from another person; 75 Euro if you are found without an Ausweis, the authorisation permit. Swedes need no permits and are free to visit and socialise.

German society is breaking down. People are scared of seeing each other. Children develop an addiction to games. Loneliness spreads faster than the virus. The new generation of Germans (and Europeans in general) will be hikikomori, a generation of hermits, social recluses. In Japan, there are hundreds of thousands young and not-so-young people who withdraw from society. Now this social disease is spreading and it is likely to deal the coup de grace to a Europe shattered by migration waves, by neoliberalism, by political correctness, by same-sex and transgender madness.

The sexual union of man and woman had been undermined by the society’s fight with ‘toxic masculinity’, by enforcement of ‘safe sex’, the ease with which people can now be prosecuted for alleged harassment and alleged rape. Now it is coming to an end, and the next generation will listen with horror to the story of Adam and Eve. But where will they listen to it? The churches are closed; Mass is forbidden. While trying to defeat Death, Mankind surrendered to Death.

The Germans forgot the words of their great poet, Goethe:

Und so lang du das nicht hast,
dieses Stirb und Werde,
bist du nur ein trüber Gast
auf der dunklen Erde.

In English translation:

And so long as you haven’t experienced
this: to die and so to grow,
you are only a troubled guest
on the dark earth.

Or perhaps even better:

Die and become!

Eventually, Europe can expect thousands of bankruptcies and suicides. The Swedish small and medium-sized businesses will survive, while the German small businesses will die. Sweden will survive the crisis as a democratic state, as she survived the world wars; while Germany, France and Italy are heading towards 1984-style dictatorship in their ruined lands, as the disappearing remnants of Pornhub users cling to the Internet while it lasts.

This massive collapse is not even necessary. Corona is dangerous, but it is not the plague. The mortality rate in Sweden remains normal and seasonal; they do not carry out many tests and have no lockdown, though people have been advised to keep their distance and wash their hands. Gatherings of more than 50 persons are banned. There are fewer people in the streets than normally, but Sweden is not panic-stricken. Do Swedes die? Yes, definitely, but they weren’t immortal before Corona, either.

Sweden’s Corona-related deaths stand at 40 per million, three times less than in France and twice as many as in Germany, though these two states have a severe lockdown policy. Given that in recent years Sweden along with all Western states had tried to fight Death per se and had kept alive many sick and elderly people even by excessive means, one would expect that this harvest would be greater than it is. As with any infectious disease big cities are more dangerous than villages, and the houses of the elderly, nursing homes, aged-care facilities, the places where old folk wait for a not-unexpected death, are the greatest death traps. Sweden has no great cities like New York or London, but there are many old and very old people who may yet succumb to the virus.

I am proud of Swedish politicians, of the ruling Social Democrats who keep the torch of freedom burning bright despite enormous pressure from the Western mass media. The leading papers of the Masters of Discourse, The New York Times and The Guardian, almost daily print articles prophesying doom for Sweden, but meanwhile the PM withstands the doomsayers. The Swedish media is not going into panic mode, and it helps. I do not know for how long the Swedes will be able to fight the pressure; whether the enemies of freedom try a regime change or just bomb Sweden into obedience, it is worth it.

ORDER IT NOW

Even in the US, the simple truth began to sink in: the Corona crisis is a media crisis, as so many recent events have been. 9/11 and the War on Terror is one of them. Since this unique (and still mysterious) incident, there have been no Islamic terror attacks in the US. Rare individual attacks in Europe have usually been perpetrated by people unhinged by the US War on Terror. More people have been killed by falling furniture in their apartments than by Islamic terrorists, but the price this War on Terror extracted from Americans and the people of the Middle East has been stupendous, because the mass media created a wave of panic.

The same is true of the Corona pandemic. Even the mainstream LA Times noticed that “the flu has sickened 36 million Americans since September and killed an estimated 22,000, according to the CDC, but those deaths are largely unreported.” Corona is real, and it is deadly for people whose very survival hinges on advanced medicine. For the rest, it is not. From time to time, the media splashes a story of a young man or even a child who succumbed to the virus. They never mention that the young man was ill of leukaemia (as in the case of the footballer), or that the child was born unable to survive independently. The ill are simply more prone to die.

The Russians are a big disappointment. They gave up their independence and toed the line. It was an amazing sight: for weeks, Russian pro-government media (including bloggers) laughed over the Western lockdown policy. They used all the arguments the Western Corona dissidents employed. And then it changed overnight. Not because of deaths – Russia has 34 corona-related deaths altogether, infinitely small number, but because of the pressure. Though Putin refused to call for lockdown or similar measures, he allowed governors of the provinces to take measures necessitated by local circumstances. And Moscow and St Petersburg did it with relish.

Not only lockdown, but heavy fines for being on the streets without an ausweis, a permit; for driving a car, for walking your dog more than one hundred yards from your door. They barred parks, limited the sale of alcohol, closed tobacco shops. Now life in the Russian capital cities is as restrictive as anywhere on the Prison Planet, but they plan to go one better by introducing a QR-code system for people allowed to exit their own homes. It is said that Putin objects, but Sobyanin insists on it. As one would expect, the pro-Democrat FT, the newspaper that supported Obama and Clinton, now supports Sobyanin versus Putin.

The Churches are closed; the Christians in this very observant country are forbidden to go to services, there is no communion, no liturgy. Even in Stalin’s day, during the World War, when German troops stood a few miles away from the Kremlin, Muscovites were allowed to go to the night service for communion; now, they are not.

The Russian media and bloggers fully supported the turnaround. The pro-Western liberal opposition welcomed it, because it is a proper modern Western way of doing things, and the right-wing authoritarians approved of it because they like restrictions. Sadly, Russians, a wonderful folk, have no real convictions. They were all for communism until they were told to drop it, and they dropped it like a hat. They were for Putin and independence, but when they felt that Putin was losing in the internal struggle, they immediately changed their views.

Now the majority of the Russian media and bloggers say Putin showed his weakness when he did not call for lockdown and allowed the Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin to do so instead. They would rather the great man himself put them under house arrest. This is very silly, but I think it is good to understand the reality.

For Russians, it is 1991 again, the collapse of the world they inhabited, the world of holidays abroad, in Turkey and Egypt, in France and Spain, the world of nice cafes and barbershops. The new world is as strict and threatening as the dark times of German occupation with its numerous prohibitions, but they try to survive.

Perhaps there will be another turnaround, for the lockdown is very difficult for the Russians with their very small apartments. If it lasts, expect a lot of family conflict and violence. Modern Russian families normally work and meet each other in the evenings only. Now they have to see each other 24/7, and it could be too much. Then, perhaps, Putin can come as the savior to release them from captivity.

The worst place to be in these dark times is Israel. They defeated Death, and at the same time they defeated Life, the obverse side of the coin. Israel has very, very few corona-related deaths. The Israeli mortalities are men in their late eighties, inhabitants of the old-age-care dwellings. There are no schools, no kindergartens open. People are forbidden to venture outside. Mossad and the police trace every movement.

And the War on Death is the War on God. The Churches are closed by government decree, even the venerable Resurrection Church or the Church of Holy Sepulchre. The Mosques are closed too, even the al Aqsa Mosque. The main attack of the godless Zionist regime had been on the observant Jews. Their military teams welded the gates of the synagogues using the skills they acquired while fighting the Palestinian Intifada, when they welded down Arab shops in the Old City of Jerusalem.

They dispatched the best fighters, the commando units, to tear old men over eighty away from their families and homes and carried these old religious Jews away into sequestered hotels into solitary confinement. The main town of the Orthodox Jews, Bene Brak, had been encircled and put under blockade like the Gaza Strip. Their Zionist neighbours in Ramat Gan demand to surround Bene Brak with a wall so the religious Jews won’t venture out. The Orthodox kids bravely fight police and the army, call them “Nazis!” and ostentatiously cough at them. The men go to pray in underground synagogues, only to be denounced by neighbours devoted to the higher common good, as they were in the days of Anne Frank. These repressions of believing Jews are probably the worst to happen in many years of troubled Jewish history.

The Jewish faith has many deficiencies, no doubt, but the Jewish adherence to faith, their stiff necks, their willingness to rebel rather than submit is a fine example to the greater world. I felt pride in these Orthodox rebels in their medieval frocks who defend their right to pray to God in face of the mighty IDF, just like their countrymen the Palestinians who fought the IDF for al Aqsa.

ORDER IT NOW

When Jews are good, they are very good. When they are bad, they are really bad. And godless Jews are often in the second category. They take their desire to live too far, and their War on Death is total, like the bombing of Dresden. Israel is probably the only nation in the world where ninety-year-old patients are forcibly connected to lung ventilation systems. The price is a total lockdown; but this lockdown allows banks to raise their interest rates and forces unemployed workers to keep paying their exorbitant rents to their absentee landlords.

In the US, there are two forces fighting over the virus response. The Financiers and the Industrialists, or Old and New Money, or Hollywood and the Rust Belt, the names vary. It seems that both will be defeated, as England and Germany both lost in the World War. President Trump wants to save his country, and his fine gesture to refuse the mask will be remembered, but he is not strong enough to make the required changes.

I do not know whether there is still a way back to some normality, or whether yesterday’s world is dead and can’t be resuscitated. But before we collapse in this grim dystopia, there is still a chance. Sombre Lent is almost over, and Easter is coming! It would be a good time to end these Corona restrictions and to let people roam free upon the beautiful land God gave us. As for the War on Death, President Trump and President Putin can declare they won it, by letting people gather in their churches and declare that Christ is Risen, and Death has been beaten at her game.

This is the money-quote. Even the Soviet Communists had some fear of and need for the people. TPTB think they can reduce us to serfdom with no consequences, and so far it looks like they are right.

A friend asked how my wife and I are getting along in lockdown: We cheerfully replied we were doing quite well. The friend commented that I chose a good wife, and I jokingly added that I also chose good houses. Rule #1 in home-buying is to always buy a bit more house than you think you might need.

  6. Communist death worshipper (but I repeat myself) wants to kill even more Russians. News at 11.

In the 1930s, tens of thousands of churches were closed – a large number of them were dynamited. Around 100,000 priests were murdered in the late 1930s. One can see the physical imprint of those years – in crumbling churches that have been rebuilt under Putin; in memorials to New Martyrs – throughout all of Russia.

But yes, good to know that (temporary) quarantine measures that have been practiced since the Black Death are totally comparable – if not worse.

  10. Interesting take on the current plague response by Adam. He is overlooking the primary vector producing this (granted) worldwide overreaction. The virus came along just as the Western World was going broke. The back story is the universal death of the Petrodollar and anxiousness of the billions as to the new world leadership. Put the back story forward and the virus behind and it all makes sense.

Yes, the Swedish death figure rose unnervingly yesterday — and looks set to get even worse today. But if our models are anywhere near accurate, these figures are expected and should be set against what must have been an explosion of new cases since mid-March.

Even under the rosiest scenarios, we should expect the death figures to stand at well over 100 a day until late May. I will start worrying only if they pass about 500 a day (unless we then have widespread antibody testing to show that the immunization process is going to plan).

Sweden is already having (for the last two days) a higher number of daily deaths than Germany (on a much lower population and number of [confirmed] cases), so that’s worrying. 13. @Swedish Family

I was told by Swedish experts that the freak rise of today is the result of correction, of counting in some previously uncounted deaths and not some new deaths. They say that the mortality stands at 40 a day, which is the same as last year in the same time.

You sure? Have a look here:

    https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/#countries

The past week, we have …

    SWEDEN

    Apr 7: 114
    Apr 6: 76
    Apr 5: 28
    Apr 4: 15
    Apr 3: 50
    Apr 2: 69
    Apr 1: 59

(But note that the figures for Apr 6 and 7 include many deaths that in fact fell the days before [e.g. on Apr 4 or 5]. Average daily deaths, our state epidemiologist claims, have held steady this past week. This fits the data if we note that the average daily deaths for Apr 4 to 7 — about 58 — is very near the average for Apr 1 to 3 — about 59.)

    GERMANY

    Apr 7: 132
    Apr 6: 226
    Apr 5: 140
    Apr 4: 169
    Apr 3: 168
    Apr 2: 176
    Apr 1: 156

Still, Sweden has about three times more daily deaths per capita than Germany, and we must expect this figure to grow even worse as April goes along. This is part of the plan, of course — we are aiming for quick herd immunity — but it’s a nail-biter for sure.

  19. Death [snip] became the worst thing to happen to man, a disaster to be avoided at all costs, because there is no hereafter, no Creator for the soul to return to, but only here and now. [emphasis mine]

Not really. This is part of the bullshit “If we don’t trick our children into believing in heaven and hell, nobody will behave themselves” schlock that religions have been trying to foist on the gullible, in a bid to try to slow religion’s rightful slide into the dustbin of history.

Some people nowadays think of death as a disaster to be avoided at all costs, because for most people life is of sufficiently high quality that they prefer their prospects ‘as a going concern‘ to an uncertain set of outcomes that includes painful violent death.

In the past, there was a larger number of people for whom risk-of-death (e.g., as a soldier) was more-than-compensated by the additional payoff.

The gap between their ‘default’ life of urban squalor, vermin, poverty and pestilence, was compared to the King’s Shilling… and if the gap was large enough, it induced the poor from different societies to stand 50m from each others’ ranks and watch each other reload. (Or earlier, to run at each other with bladed or pointed weapons, and shields).

The gap didn’t have to be that wide, because it wasn’t compensating them for much additional risk: the risk of death as a soldier was not much greater than their annual mortality risk anyway – a shitload of urban paupers died young from violence, self-abuse or disease.

Plus, uniforms, adventure and pussy (foreign and domestic).

Fear of death is low where life is cheap, and where people have fuck-all to look forward to ‘as a going concern’.

Those people also tend to be stupid and superstitious, which makes them rich pickings for charlatans with a story about ‘national honour‘ or ‘pro patria mori‘, or life everlasting (virtually guaranteed* if you give us 10% of your shit on the regular) .

Religions had to invent injunctions against suicide, FFS; people with no hope, off themselves.

It is absolutely true that for those before the turn of the 20th century (in the West), most had seen a very-recently-dead person in their own home by the age of ten; seeing dead siblings, grandparents (and one or both parents) was pretty common.

Once something becomes far more risky than everyday life, it becomes a priori a ‘bad’, especially for those whose everyday lives have very low risk. (Where my middle aged white women at?)

You are simply incorrect. Sweden is run by politically correct morons who are utterly afraid of violence. They can’t fathom violence, which is why they try to ignore gang rapes, grenade attacks and the spate of bombings and riots that is increasing in intensity.

French police have given up on policing the migrant infested areas like St Denis, on account of violence from the denizens.

Swedes are simply afraid to lock down the country because they know the tinder box would ignite. Muslim youth are already rioting in small cities, and a lockdown would be an invitation to party harder.

Swedes are not brave in any way; they lost their stones back at Poltava, centuries ago. They are a nation of sheep led by coddled, childless women who know very well that the Muslim street will erupt in violence.

Quarantine is the isolation of sick people. Shutting down society, ending free movement, free assembly, economic activity, introducing a wrap around surveillance – these things are not ‘quarantine’. They are totalitarianism.
Most (if not all) epidemiologists who have spoken out criticising the current course on medical grounds have endorsed the approach of quarantine, but objected to the lockdown. This is quite apparent to anyone who has done even the modicum of reading on this issue.

Even if the Swedish figures ended up considerably worse than those of, say, Italy, there still would be no justification for closing down open and free society. Old and sick people die of respiratory infections in their many thousands every year. There were 70,000 deaths a week in Europe in the flu season three years ago.
What will kill lots of people, will be the emergence of a totalitarian global system. Any moral imperative must lie in opposing that, for the sake of life. The virus is a pretext and a distraction: anyone trying to tell you otherwise is either ignorant, hysterical, brainwashed or lying.

  38. Delectable incisive commentary as usual, Israel. With one serious error. You reckon, as all the newspapers and authorities do, that ‘Corona is real’. Now I do appreciate that this sounds perfectly preposterous, but how about the possibility that seasonal colds, flu, even pneumonia sometimes — rechristened ‘corona cases’ when people light up the useless, non-specific test — have nothing to do with invisible miniature demons invading us?
I speak of transmissable ‘viruses’, invented as an explanatory medical construct early last century and now piled so deep into our consciousness that to doubt it is to attract suspicion of insanity, imbecility, or perversity.
I mean imagine suggesting to the three enthralled judges at Salem that the very scientific foundations of demonology — supported by the authority of any number of specialist encyclopedias and the teaching at Harvard nearby — on which the trials rested were rubbish, because, M’Lords, if I might be so bold as to say, there is no Devil; it’s all a stupid delusion, and you’re in the grip of the grossest superstition no less than the rest of the village.
I’ve had a close look at Zhu’s et al claim, published in the New England Journal of Medicine in January, to have isolated ‘2019-n-CoV’, and it’s a joke. Time and space are too tight to explain why right now, but to the curious I commend an examination of the evidence for the existence of the most thoroughly and comprehensively studied ‘virus’ ever: ‘HIV’. Same principles, same problems. I’ve posted links to critical analyses and a neat explanatory video interview at the top of my website (above). If after this careful study and assessment of the evidence for it you still believe in ‘HIV’, then you’ll likely still believe in ‘2019-n-CoV’ and carry on washing your hands nervously every five minutes! Until the next mass epidemic of plague hysteria kicks in. Cooties lurking deep inside our ears or something.

I agree, but they aren’t “ending” economic activity per se, at least not in America. They’re effectively subsidizing large pro-globohomo corporations by closing down smaller, local competitors who don’t have cash to last.

There can be no better example of this than the gardening sector, where small and independent garden supply stores have been shut down while Home Depot and Lowes are allowed to remain open. Examples abound across America but particularly in states where Democrats rule.

Most American states also allow abortion to continue, using up precious personal protection equipment, because it’s “essential to life.” Dirty little secret is it’s also essential to the newly-expanding vaccine industry.

Americans are indeed afraid of death, but they’re also afraid of life.

  44. It is no coincidence that the only sane Western state, Sweden, avoided the First and the Second World Wars, and the terrible Corona self-destruction as well.

Notwithstanding that, Sweden is still one of the most insane countries in the world, on a course toward slow self-destruction.

It’s true, they were practically the only European country to have never experienced, nor were part of, the following:

    • American NATO bases
    • Soviet occupation
    • German occupation under Hitler
    • British Empire
    • French occupation under Napoleon
    • Holy Roman Empire
    • Ancient Roman Empire
    • Islamic territorial raids centuries ago

That already makes it somewhat unique. Yet they have lost their resilience and have willingly invited a slow takeover by the contemporary migrant invasion, from Africa and western Asia (Refugees Welcome), purportedly even more pronounced, per capita, than in Germany.

Their political correctness in now so intense that it has become nearly totalitarian. Some critics say it is a lost cause. Even the CEO of Volvo has raised an alarm about an issue people are forbidden to notice (see link below).

That’s why I didn’t even bother to take a day trip to Malmö the last time I visited Copenhagen, a few years ago during the summer. I presume you don’t live in that particular city.

Also, based on the statistics for corona virus deaths per million population, at Worldometer, more than twice that of Austria, Germany, and many other European countries. Perhaps you’re just idealizing Sweden too much. It’s also too early to tell if they will implement lockdowns in the future.

    Interesting.

Thinking out loud here. Chinese scientists announce the virus is a corona virus and releases the genome sequences. We believe them without question. Granted, perhaps this is a new virus and this is true.

However, how do we know this is the only virus? Has anyone in the West done the investigation to confirm this is the only factor behind covid-19??

Perhaps this is a trojan horse. If a bioweapons lab releases 2 viruses and announces only one as the culprit, when the other one is the major or at least a significant problem, then everyone else is wasting their time looking for a vaccine based on the the first virus.

Meanwhile China has had almost no significant cases outside hubei despite the virus circulation for over 2 months in what is a major domestic and international transportation hub.

    Something to ponder.

  46. Dumbo says:
    @John Burns, Gettysburg Partisan

Yes, it’s strange that small stores are closed while large supermarkets and public transportation don’t. I mean of course people need to move and eat, but then again, does a partial shutdown work? If the virus is really as contagious as they say, it’s pointless, and if it isn’t, no need to shut down the whole economy.

Sweden seems to be actually a kind of middle ground: while there’s no shutdown, people are self-distancing a bit, and streets are emptier than usual. On the other hand, their mortality rate seems quite a bit higher than Norway. We’ll see.

  47. Dumbo says:
    @jbwilson24

Swedes are not brave in any way; they lost their stones back at Poltava, centuries ago. They are a nation of sheep led by coddled, childless women who know very well that the Muslim street will erupt in violence.

While it seems to be a very feminist / politically correct society, I’m not sure that they are not also a bit less brainwashed on other aspects. Would “Muslim streets” erupt in violence if there’s a lockdown? Why? Didn’t some Muslim countries such as Malaysia locked down too?

PS: Germany is letting Muslim gatherings go on, while they enforce lockdowns and distancing on non-Muslims. I wonder why.

Any link about this? Haven’t heard of any of that. Anyway, if the virus is really so deadly, maybe it’s better if Muslims get it, and white Christians don’t… O;-) (Just kidding).

Sweden has been moving at a snail pace and many businesses have already had to liquidate due to covid 19. Don’t even get me started on the restaurant industry.
42 percent of those who have died here have died in their nursing homes. There have been zero measures taken to protect the elderly except visitation prohibition. The people working in with the elderly where not tested and not given protective gear. We have old people who have no other means to get food here than to shop. Look at a small country like Cyprus. They have been able to set aside hours where
risk groups only could do there shopping which includes mandatory distance between shoppers. Our health care workers have been subjected to this disease and in one hospital 50% of the workers have tested positive. What troubles me about this virus is that colloidal silver is antiviral, antifungal & antibacterial. It is literally a super antibiotic. Yet I see no reports of any medical bureaucrats taking it for a spin. And I think I know why: It can’t be patented while cheap & easy to produce. Such a travesty this BigPharma hegemony.

Oh well, thank goodness for my trusty German Medionic Ionic-Pulser® PRO colloidal silver generator:

Colloidal Silver is an Antibacterial, Antifungal and Antiviral Miracle
Wednesday, October 14, 2009 by: Ethan Huff

📍(NaturalNews) The element silver has long been recognized as a precious metal of significant value. In fact, prior to the early ’60s, silver was used to make quarters and dimes because it held its value in weight. Silver is also utilized in a variety of industrial uses including imaging and photography, electronics, water purification, as well as various catalytic uses. It is a highly conductive metal that does not corrode so it works effectively in various chemical processes. Many people, however, remain unaware of the health-promoting benefits of silver…

In the early days of human civilization, it was discovered that silver helped keep things like water, milk, and vinegar pure for long periods of time. Since there was no refrigeration at the time, silver vessels were often used to preserve various foods and drinks during travel. One of the primary reasons why many ancient civilizations used silver eating utensils was due to the fact that silver prevented the growth of disease-causing pathogens. Silver’s preservative, medical, germicidal, and antibacterial uses can be traced as far back as during the ancient Greek and Roman empires…

    Western Medicine Discovers Silver
It wasn’t until the late 1800s that western science began to rediscover the ancient truths about silver. One of the early documented uses of silver as a bactericide was in 1884 by a German obstetrician named Carl Crede. He effectively administered a 1% silver nitrate solution into the eyes of newborn infants in order to prevent the incidence of gonococcal opthalmia, a disease that causes blindness in newborns. Prior to the introduction of modern antibiotics, silver was used widely in hospitals and by doctors to combat infection and to dress wounds

    Western Medicine Abandons Silver
With the advent of synthetic, patented drugs and antibiotics in the 1930s, there came the gradual abandonment of silver by mainstream medicine, at least for the most part. Since resistant strains of disease organisms had not yet surfaced at that time, there was newfangled fervor towards the new treatments as superior and technologically-advanced. Most of silver’s uses lost favor with the exception of it being used as a water purifying agent and as a wound dressing…

    Western Medicine Discovers Silver, Again
A 1988 laboratory test at the UCLA School of Medicine verified that bacteria, viruses, and fungal organisms are killed within minutes of being exposed to colloidal silver solutions. Dr. Robert Becker of Syracuse University also noted that in a study conducted at his school all the organisms tested were eliminated by the silver, including ones that were resistant to known antibiotics.

Properly-prepared silver treatments have no negative side effects and do not harm the good intestinal bacteria that are otherwise destroyed by conventional antibiotics when treating bacterial infections. It is precisely because silver cannot be patented that it has been mostly shrouded by the mainstream healthcare system. If it cannot be patented, it cannot make money and is thus a threat to the pharmaceutical monopoly on healthcare... 📍

I think it has been obvious for a long time to thinking people (that includes the majority of UNZ readers ) that this whole thing was utter nonsense. Those who did not think much suspected there was a dead rat under the floorboards and those who did not think at all are starting to wonder ? and perhaps see the light?

Today I read some interesting articles:

-In Hong Kong the virus is thought to have spread in an apartment complex through the sewer pipes. So lets see, when Chong takes a dump on the 15th floor and flushes the toilet, the virus travels at supersonic speed downward BUT at the cut off pipe from a lower apartment it escapes from the poop, sneaks up the pipe and into Wang’s toilet. When Wang comes into the bath to brush his teeth he takes a deep breath and viola ! he is infected. OR, another scenario is that the virus does not wait for Chong to flush. It escapes from his toilet and either climbs or descends the sewer pipes searching for some unfortunate victim. Pretty smart for a one cell organism.
-Now I see that stats coming from the CDC in the US shows declines in other respiratory diseases eg pneumonia compared to the same period last year while deaths from Corona have risen proportionally. Further it looks like they have been counting all deaths as Corona caused even if the person was suffering from a disease that would have killed him/ her ANYWAY like leukemia. The experts have been dicking with the stats.
-The deaths from Corona pale in comparison to total population and to deaths from other diseases
-Now I see the tiger in some US zoo was infected by some “unidentifed” individual. Why I ask was the tiger not wearing a mask? Does this mean that the parrots, snakes and other creatures are now in danger. Should they be quarantined?
-Masks should be worn ! No they dont help says Expert #1, yes they do help says Expert #2, we still have to study their usefullness says Expert #3, we dont know says Expert #4 and so it goes.
-And of course there is money on the table so everyone wants a piece and will do whatever it tkes to get some. Now the Head of WHO is under the gun !!??

Unz readers can come up with a million other absurdities and contradictions.

The whole Corona virus thing was absolute nonsense. It seems to me to be moot to wax about where it came from, what it is and who is responsible. As time goes by we will see there are a lot of unanswered questions which will remain unanswered, one can only wonder why.

We have been had …..AGAIN…….and for the majority, when they fart, smoke will come out of their arse, the same smoke the experts blew up their backsides.

“Flattening the curve” with lockdowns is not about avoiding deaths, it is about avoiding overload of healthcare systems. People who are too weak to survive Covid-19 will die, sooner or later. The vast majority will survive. The longer the sane population is prevented from exposure to the virus, the longer it’ll take to build herd immunity and the longer SARS-CoV-2 will linger on and possibly mutate into even more lethal forms. At least, people who won’t survive should be allowed a dignified death and their families should be allowed to mourn them properly. Politicians in power won’t allow it.
The consequences of current policies will be far more disastrous, for the economy, for personal freedoms, for people’s relation to power, for relations between people, for people’s physical and mental health, than any harm something that isn’t even quite a form of life could inflict.

I commend the Swedes on their stance against the #coronhoax, but they are just as beaten down by ZOG as the Germans and French when it comes to importing African and Arab criminal thugs who rape, pillage and loot their countries. Last time I checked, Sweden was the rape capital of Europe. Before the flooding of Europe with brown and black skinned WMD, rape was nearly unheard of Sweden.

Back to the article. Good religious Jews vs. bad non believing Jews? Well, I am not doubting there might be a few exceptions, Bobby Fischer was a good Jew, but I have no idea what Fischer’s religious believes were or whether he believed in a God at all, however, damn if I see that many “good Jews” around. Sure, the Jew claims to be holier than thou, but actions speak a helluva lot louder than words.

“Death?” I don’t fear death at all. What I fear is not knowing how I will die. Will I suffer a horrible death or will I go out RELATIVELY easy, because no death is pleasant I am sure of that. But alas we believers all want to get to Heaven but it seems no one wants to die. For those “believers,” I say you start dying the day you are born and sure as you are breathing now, you will all die someday, so don’t sweat the small stuff, just focus on where you will spend your eternal retirement more than where you will spend your retirement on earth. Look to Hebrews 13:6 for further details.

So it will kill five times more than the flu. So what? Flatten the curve, or don’t flatten the curve, the result will be exactly the same at the end of the year. But flatten the curve and destroy society. Known as throwing out the baby with the bathwater. Who is responsible, and why, is another question.

  74. As I recall (as does cranc above), it’s the sick who are quarantined, not the healthy. Yes, yes, risk of contagion by “mystery” virus that is a hidden and delayed explosive, keep away! That’s more true in cities and smaller concentrations of population. Rural areas are another kettle of fish, a large and thinly populated kettle at that. My rural village quickly closed access to outsiders other than refrigerated trucks from another rural area nearby. In theory, we’re subject to the national and provincial quarantine regulations (de jure), but in fact (de facto) we largely ignore them. Not one case of corona anywhere remotely near here. Everyday I see more and more neighbors (there are only maybe two thousand of us) out and around, maskless and gloveless, at times not maintaining social distance! I don’t know as I could stand being cooped up in an apartment.

I believe this has become an astonishing and humbling case of overreaction on steroids. The economic damage will be extreme. Socio-political conditions are at grave risk as well. Mr Gates has become the caricature of the “mad scientist” and should be barred from the public arena. Time to turn back from a good number of so-called technological “advantages” and enjoy the world as it is. Do away with government agencies such as the USA’s DHS, eliminate ridiculous and intrusive airport security, reduce required documentation… In other words, turn back the clock to 2000 at the latest!

I’m afraid it’s far deadlier than that.

Yearly deaths from influenza in Sweden:

    2015-2016: 231
    2016-2017: 600
    2017-2018: 881
    2018-2019: 435

(= about 537 a year for this period)

    https://www.socialstyrelsen.se/globalassets/sharepoint-dokument/artikelkatalog/statistik/2020-4-6737.pdf

(The figure for 2018-2019 is preliminary as of April 8, 2020. All figures have an error margin of +-1 since I had to calculate them from other figures and round them off.)

Estimated total deaths from the coronavirus (assuming 70% infection rate):

    0.5% death rate
    10,000,000 x 0.7 x 0.005 = 35,000

    0.7% death rate
    10,000,000 x 0.7 x 0.007 = 49,000

    2.0% death rate
    10,000,000 x 0.7 x 0.02 = 140,000

That is to say, we should expect the coronavirus to be anything from 65 to 261 times deadlier than the flu.

  76. kemerd says:

    @ploni almoni

.7 percent is the low end of the estimate based on a study made in Italy conducted in few small towns in the epicentre of pandemic with their entire populations; so this rate is the real number everyone should be looking at. It can also be as high as 2 percent. Also, this is for the case where the health system can keep up with the patients where the doctors don’t have to choose who would they save. In such cases, the death rate reaches about %10, remarkably consistent number everywhere where the response was incompetent.

So, yes, I expect a lot of Swedes to die because of this “experiment”. Still can’t believe idiocy of so many people who are still comparing this to flu.

Besides, the economy would have tanked anyway, lock downs or otherwise. Do you think people would travel, go to restaurants, cinemas, etc. or spend their money in anything that is not absolutely essential when they clearly see a catastrophe is happening everywhere?

Very true, this seems to be notjkkg more than a novel flu that people do not yet have immunity to and these sorts of things happen every now and then.

Seems like a way for Big Business to extract more money from the public purse 2007-8 Financial Crisis style. Not all countries locked down and it seems that there is much media pressure by certain tribes to force nations into lockdown such as Sweden. Now every death is front page news as we are meant to agonize over these deceased.

As far as I am concerned, the people dying from this already had one foot in the grave, saving them is simply not worth the time, money and effort.

I haven’t seen anything like this since the 9/11 attacks, every single newspaper is churning out coronavirus stories as if this plague will exterminate humanity, it is nothing more than flu. I am quite certain I have already had it as I caught a fever back in January after coming into contact with Chinese students in Scotland who had come back from Christmas break. It was really nothing bad, the dry cough was kind of bad but this was easily remedied by strepsils.

When Wang comes into the bath to brush his teeth he takes a deep breath and viola ! he is infected. OR, another scenario is that the virus does not wait for Chong to flush. It escapes from his toilet and either climbs or descends the sewer pipes searching for some unfortunate victim. Pretty smart for a one cell organism.”

I was told by Swedish experts that the freak rise of today is the result of correction, of counting in some previously uncounted deaths and not some new deaths. They say that the mortality stands at 40 a day, which is the same as last year in the same time.

Well, I dunno. I checked, and it looks like deaths have been running around 100/day in Sweden for two days in a row.

If we assume a 1% short-term fatality rate and three weeks from infection to death, doesn’t that tend to mean new infections were running around 10K per day three weeks ago, suggesting that the Coronavirus is very rapidly spreading due to lack of any Swedish crackdown, and probably hundreds of thousands of Swedes have now been infected? Isn’t that a very serious situation?

If these policies continue, wouldn’t we expect many millions of Swedes to soon be infected? The evidence from South Korea seems to indicate that the longer-term fatality rate is something like 1.5%-2%. So if (say) 7M Swedes get infected, wouldn’t that we’d see 100K-150K deaths in Sweden over the next few months? Plus several times that number would suffer severe long-term health problems.

Is the government saying that won’t happen? Or are they saying those numbers are perfectly acceptable? Or do they believe it would happen regardless of their policies, so why bother trying to prevent it?

I would have been happy to entertain them for a bowl of watery soup and a piece of mildewed bread brushed from the table of the high and mighty in some gloomy castle. Here, I do it for free. Shows you what a clown I am !

Now to get serious as there is nothing more annoying than continual humour. The Joker has his character flaws just like the next man. I can patiently endure anything and anyone but I cannot stand men who are weak and/or who are stupid. Frequently the two go together in an individual.

Unfortunately, these are traits in many of the people who seem to run things and be in control. We are allegedly the highest species on this planet but I have seen first hand what weak and stupid men are capable of and it has left a deep mark on me. I sympathise with those who have lost loved ones to this virus. It is not and cannot be easy to say goodbye to someone you love. I am saving many of my tears though for the deaths that come next and they will dwarf those we have experienced so far.

The irresponsible hype of this virus and the worldwide lock down which I think was totally unnecessary, unwarranted and unjustified will finish off many people, some mentally and some physically. Those that die some from poverty, ruined lives, despair and hopelessness and others by their own hand will be the lucky ones. Life for those who remain and life for the offspring of those who have passed on and those who remain will be a struggle for survival filled with suffering and heartache that no number of tears will wash away or salve.

I hope quite desperately that I am wrong and for me the double sadness, the double disillusion is the fact that those who put an end to their own struggle will be for the most part unknown and forgotten. No one will care or add them to the virus death toll. They will be unmentioned, anonymous and forgotten ! The media, fame hunting bloggers and experts will have moved on to the next drama.

My father said once that the most savage animals live in cities. How right he was ! We may consider ourselves civilised, highly evolved, full of brotherly love and whatever but just below that veneer lies a virus even more deadly than Corona. That is the ability to inflict pain and suffering on others, to be cruel and heartless in the quest for more money, more power and more influence and more fame than we know what to do with.

For weeks 9 through 11 this year, the total is 153,015, meaning 17,540 fewer people died in America during the first three weeks of March than could be reasonably expected. And the gap between historic deaths and weekly deaths is widening. For week 11, just 47,655 Americans died, 8,773 and 15% fewer than the average for week 11 in the prior four years. And while data on week 12 is not complete, it is trending similar to week 11 and will likely be down by 15% (around 8,700 deaths less than expected) even though 1,919 COVID-19 deaths were reported (in week beginning 3/22).

lol Ron Unz continues his defunct calculations
Step 1 He calculates the fatality rate based on reported deaths vs reported infected (completely disregarding most basic of virus spread equations which is minimum of 10:1 ratio between infected vs detected) or he assumes an arbitrary number
Step 2 Using this questionable mortality rate he projects back to establish number of infected 3 weeks before the reported death number
Step-3 Finally he projects number of infected in future based on #2 and number of deaths based on the false mortality rate he “assumed” in #1
Question for Ron How the initial 1 per cent (or 1.5-2 per cent S. Korea) death rate was established?

    Example S. Korea
As of today the number of detected cases 10423
Number of reported corona deaths (note “reported”, we saw funny stuff in Italy and now in USA having almost no heart attack deaths in last month) 204
Therefore according to him the fatality rate is 0.02
So 7 millions infected means 140 000 deaths

This is precisely how every single “Faucian model” failed so far to come even close to estimate the number of deaths.
That is why ” the model” predicted 160-240 k deaths by April 12 while it will most likely be between 16-24 k (1:10 ratio )
If I remember well 2 weeks ago Unz predicted something similar

In reality S Korea has at least 100 k infected (and likely many more) which gives the fatality rate of 0.002 which incidentally is flu fatality rate
Now you can say there is a lag in deaths vs infected ratio but that will be more than compensated by the fact that ratio is more than 10
Finally using this rate, if number of infected is 7 M, the fatality rate would be 14 000

It is just a flu, bro

As far as I understand, the Swedish health authority have a very different assessment. They think that infection came into Sweden (from Italy) around March 1st, and by now 50% of Stockholm is infected. So there is nothing to gain by lockdown. They say that the numbers of deaths and severe illness in Sweden and in its neighbours (and they use lockdown) are very similar. And they do not expect mortality will be high. As I’ve said, hundred deaths per day is the result of correction, that is connected to the virus getting into old-age nursing house. These houses are a death trap; that’s why they are forbidden to see visitors. I’ll repeat: the nursing houses are quarantined, and the rest of the country does not need a quarantine. Sweden is one week behind Italy; so if mortality would be as high as you think, by now Sweden would have Italian level of mortality. It is not the case. Ergo, the dynamics are different. QED.

A few more thoughts for general consideration:

In advanced Western countries, it is said that 0.01% to 0.03% of total population dies “of flu” each year, and, if at any point in any flu-season or a peak within a season the numbers exceed that range, that is modestly notable but still only of interest to specialists.

In Italy, apparently the worst-case country, the total Flu Deaths number for 2019-20 might edge slightly past the upper end of the range there (though this depends on what one counts as a genuine flu-related death; this is now such a well-known problem as to make Total Deaths the only valid measure, IMO). If it turns out to be, say, 0.05% instead of in the usual 0.03%-vicinity for Italy, are what Shutdowns justified? I cannot begin to imagine how destructive such thinking would be if universalized to all years and situations. I would suggest pro-Shutdownism is a symptom of mass delusion, a symptom developing from the act of falling for media hype and bad data pushed by various, often semi-malicious, actors.

BTW, Italy’s high-average-age profile has long pushed its total deaths up above 1.0% of total population (over 1.00% in all years 2008-to-2019, except two which ‘clocked in’ at 0.98% and 0.99%). And if Corona Apocalypse pushes total deaths from, say, 1.00% to 1.05% (with the marginal 0.050% being 0.047% from retired-age, economically-inactive, generally otherwise-ill persons — implying slight downward pressure in 2021 mortality, btw — and the remainder being non-retired-age but those with serious medical conditions who are always at risk), what is the appropriate public policy response? What is best for the nation?

What’s up with the Swedish Miracle?

First the numbers of deaths per one million population of Scandinavian countries from John Hopkins:

    Sweden 77.5, Denmark 48.7, Norway 19.3, Finland 7.6

The countries have similar ethnic, cultural, economic, age profiles though they differ in population density:

    Sweden 22.2/km², Denmark 134/km², Norway 38/km², Finland 19/km²

So Sweden has 10 times more deaths than Finland with similar population density while Denmark, Norway, Finland population densities correlate with deaths number at 99.2% level. So Sweden is clearly an outlier. By adding Sweden to the list the correlation drops from 99.2% to 18.8%.

Are death cases classified the same way? Is there over counting in Sweden or undercounting in Norway? No country would like to over count because it would undermine its policy whether it is the policy of severe countermeasures like Norway or lax countermeasure like Sweden. So the other question is on which country the pressure to undercount would be heavier: Denmark, Norway, Finland who do what everybody else is doing in the world or Sweden that went against the common wisdom and defied policies of other countries wanting to prove that their original policy is better which to sustain it they must lul their population so it would not rebel against government policies if alarmingly high numbers appeared in newspapers?

Let’s now move to Chief Epidemiologist of Sweden, Anders Tegnell who is the official face of the Swedish polices and carries a very heavy burden on his shoulders. On April 3 it was reported that

    https://archive.fo/seBhv#selection-981.0-981.230

The Swedes believe that changing how the figures are reported will cut the number of people dying from coronavirus by as much as four fifths , and slash the death rate to well below 1 per cent, perhaps even lower than seasonal flu

See,”even lower than seasonal flu” – the objective is to make it just like a flu which is what every skeptic, hoaxer and disinformation agent like Shamir dreams about.

If the “as much as four fifths” means subtraction of the “four fifths” from the total then the actual numbers in Sweden would be five times higher than the reported numbers. So Sweden may have 3,965 deaths so far instead of the reported 793 number. This would mean that Sweden may already have as many deaths as equally populous New Your City with population density several orders of magnitude larger than Sweden.

Anders Tegnell was very explicit about the difference between people who died “from” coronavirus rather than died “with” coronavirus. Probably each country draws the line between the “from” and the “with” cases in a different place but if there are some general WHO guidelines how to draw this line it it is clear that Sweden is a country that doesn’t not follow the guideline. They explicitly talk about the “four fifths” reduction and bringing numbers to the seasonal flu level.

What is going on in Sweden? First of all population may not be alarmed. The deaths are not reported on the first pages of their papers (I checked several papers). Only interviews with Anders Tegnell are printed where his language is full of generalities and typical double-talk of a bureaucrat. No numbers, nothing alarming, we are doing good and will do even better, the curve is flattening in Stockholm but there might be some increases out in the boonies but we should not worry about and so on. And he looks extremely stressed out.

Swedes are very proud people who strongly believe that their shit stinks much less, if at all, than anybody else’s shit. They like order and clean street and everybody accounted for. They do not like to hear and see much of the ugliness of life. They like to project image just like Stalin wanted to project the image of Moscow. This is one reason why Israel Shamir likes Sweden as in its sterility it reminds him of the glorious Moscow under his idol Stalin, when Moscow was cleansed from orphaned children whose parents Stalin killed and who were sent God only knows where, where Moscow was cleansed form the begging and loitering Great Patriotic War invalid veterans who were sent to camps to die out of sight of people to make Moscow look as pristine as Stockholm on its best day.

Can Sweden pull it off? Yes, they can with the docile population and media in cahoots just like Stalin could do whatever he wanted with the docile homo sovieticus. However Anders Tegnell will be very busy fighting the exponential growth in order to hide it and soon he may have to be subtracting more than just four fifths form the totals.

The so-called white advocates and nationalists should ask the question why Sweden is doing it. Is it just a hubris? They are cleansing their population of old people who are predominantly ethnic Swedes. Is it another lesson to teach the Swedes that there is no ethnic solidarity for them? Do they need more money and room to bring more refugees and immigrants from Asia, ME and Africa to replace the ethnic Swedes?

Agree, the zionists are pulling off the greatest psyop in American history and destroying America as a result, and this was the zionist goal.

I don’t see zionist fingerprints on this. Yes, Trump is going along with the psyop and we know where he takes his orders from, but a disproportionate number of zionist don’t seem to be involved.

If one says this is just a flu, then one is every bit as foolish as those who support the arbitrary and ridiculous lock downs in America.

The death data and case data aren’t hoaxes, and they both point to this as a disease that is killing more than double the dead from the worst flu season in the last 100 years.

For various reasons, I don’t believe the lock down efforts are actually going to make a big difference. But, yes, this is more than “just the flu.”

One can and should criticize the lock down efforts, but merely saying “it’s just the flu” plays into the hands of the doomsday statists.

Sweden shows the way. Their natural experiment has already shown that Shutdownism was unnecessary, and not worth that tradeoff of triggering mass unemployment, misery, disrupted lives.

“The supreme function of statesmanship is to provide against preventable evils. In seeking to do so, it encounters obstacles which are deeply rooted in human nature.” — Enoch Powell, 1968, but he could as well have been talking about the Corona response.

This (Corona recession and all other other predictable negative effects of Shutdownism) has all been a preventable evil.

    _____________

by now 50% of Stockholm is infected. So there is nothing to gain by lockdown

This is also the point made by Dr. Knut Wittkowski in his April 2 interview (and paper published at the same time). He slams the Corona response by most Western governments, just attacks it directly. Shutdowns were unnecessary, he says, because they all came after the peak, and not only were they unnecessary but in many cases they are even counterproductive (the shutdowns of schools) even from an epidemic-control standpoint alone.

this as a disease that is killing more than double the dead from the worst flu season in the last 100 years.

What data are you looking at?

I think you are seriously misinformed:

The best and most comprehensive data we now have the 2019-20 season says it may reach the 1981-82 season’s total, with the corona bump; a bad-case scenario still has 2019-20 up at 1976-77 levels.

Needless to say, no mass hysteria events associated with flu in either of those years.

And that is per-capita deaths; It’s worth adding that because average age is so much higher now, a per-capita of 50 per 100,000 today would equal (say) 30 per 100,000 in the 1970s. That would be the fairer comparison. The chance that it goes as high even as high as 50 deaths per 100,000 population now looks very low.

The Diamond Princess experiment shows that there is nothing to worry about.

    https://www.sciencenews.org/article/coronavirus-outbreak-diamond-princess-cruise-ship-death-rate

As of February 20, tests of most of the 3,711 people aboard the Diamond Princess confirmed that 634, or 17 percent, had the virus; 328 of them did not have symptoms at the time of diagnosis. Of those with symptoms, the fatality ratio was 1.9 percent,

Only 17% had the virus when tested and more than half of those with the virus were asymptomatic. So of those exposed to the virus, everybody on board, only ~8% became ill at all. Of those who developed symptoms at all a majority do not become really sick. and do not require any medical care at all.

More numbers at the link below. See especially Diamond Princess numbers.

    https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/#countries

I was wrong originally as I thought that it was a US attack on China because of the reported much greater effect on East Asians than others and the presence of the US contingent to the military games at Wuhan. I then though it was likely accidental release from Fort Detrick, because that had been closed down recently(Aug I think) due to an undisclosed security problem. Now I don’t have any hypothesis on the ‘origin’ of Covid 19 but because of the numbers from the Diamond Princes I am certain that the economic damage from governmental over-reaction will be many times that of just taking reasonable precautions against transmission(wash hands frequently, hand steriliser in car. Use steriliser before leaving and after entering car. No kissing and cuddling when meeting people on the street).

About 8% of the U.S. population gets sick from flu each season, with a range of between 3% and 11%, depending on the season.
    https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/keyfacts.htm

For 8% this is 26 million who got sick (there are asymptomatic as well). And 60,000 die.

How many covid infected in the US so far? 465,000.
How many died so far? 16,500.

If we let the infection spread to 26 million we get 922,000 dead. This is 15 time higher than your flu.

This just-a-flu would kill 1 million Americans if it was allowed to spread as just-a-flu from past seasons.

The only useful data form the ship is how many were asymptomatic, how many ill and how many died.

The error you are making is in this phrase: “of those exposed to the virus, everybody on board” as you equate being in proximity on the same ship with being exposed to the virus.

you have no idea what you are talking about. death rates in a western country are approximately 0.001 per month, or 1000 per million per month, and that is because in the west we live about 1000 months on average. in winter it will be 1100, in summer 900. in a bad flu season it may get to 1200. you can convert that to rates per day or per year.

in a place with ageing population it will be a little bigger, in a place with a young population a little smaller. that’s it. it is a very narrow range, and changes of one order of magnitude are unheard of. those are the numbers. and this way of posting random data, without checking their size and consistency, or even what they mean, is normal for a dittohead. Learn a bit of statistics, and learn a bit about the nature of the data you are using. some people here are treating you like an idiot for a reason.

Sweden’s flawed coronavirus battle plan hits the poor & elderly, resulting in worst death count among Nordic countries

    https://www.rt.com/op-ed/485522-sweden-coronavirus-worst-death-count/

“Sweden has not only the highest rate of fatalities per capita, but also the total death toll is higher than that of all the other Nordic countries put together. As of April 10, Sweden has 86 Covid-19 fatalities per one million of population, while Finland has nine, Norway 20, and Denmark 43. (The US has 47, and Russia 0.5 Covid-19 fatalities per one million, respectively).

The authorities have been repeating for weeks that the paramount aim of their strategy is to protect the elderly. But 40 percent of all victims were infected in homes housing them. And while no testing has been provided to the personnel taking care of these elderly, the virus has reached one third of Stockholm nursing homes. The vast majority of Covid-19 deaths in Sweden corresponds to people aged over 70.

Furthermore, areas in the Stockholm region inhabited mainly by immigrants with lower socioeconomic status are overrepresented among those infected by the virus. It is the worst in Rinkeby-Kista (the suburb referred to by Trump in his renowned quote “Look what happened last night in Sweden”) which exhibits the highest rate per capita (48 per 10,000). In social-privileged areas, e.g. Kungsholmen, it is only nine cases per 10,000. On March 16, an independent organization of Somali physicians revealed that at least six out of 15 fatalities that occurred in Stockholm were of Somali origin.

Further measures detrimental to the elderly’s odds partly consist in new instructions to doctors as to how to prioritize the selection of patients to be treated in intensive care units. Clearly, patients of a biological age 8o or over should not be prioritized. The same regarding people 70-80 years old who have a significant disease in more than one organ system. Neither should people aged 60-70 who have similar failure in more than two organ systems be eligible for intensive care.

The above rules are to be applied in situations where there are not enough critical beds. But even if the authorities have now made efforts to increase bed availability, Sweden was, according to EU statistics, the country in Europe with the lowest number of curative care beds in hospitals. Local mainstream media reported that during the 90s Sweden dismantled most parts of their field hospitals which had been kept in case of major catastrophes. Other measures affecting the elderly is that all planned operations (e.g. cancer, etc.) have been canceled. The number of operations decreased by five thousand during the previous week alone.”

please do not encourage ignorance. All cause mortality does not change by one order of magnitude, and covid mortality has been correctly measured only in Denmark and Germany so far (plus Wuhan), and it is not expressed in parts per million but parts per thousands (same as the flu). Also please see the swedish data at euromomo and try to find the covid crisis in those flat data. The reality is that Sweden has done better than most Euro countries.

  152. The reality is that Sweden has done better than most Euro countries.

This is not true. Knowing that currently updated country statistics on the virus may be unreliable or imprecise, it is still possible to gain insights from the reported data at the Worldometer web site. Simply copy and paste the data into a spreadsheet and calculate the following, adding two additional columns:

Death Rate using (Outcomes = Deaths + Recovered):
    Rate = (Deaths / Outcomes)

Progression Rate using Outcomes and Active Cases:
Rate = (Outcomes / Active Cases)

In both cases you can see that Sweden, though not the worst in Europe, is still very bad. For the second value, most of the top 36 country data I looked at (ranked by total cases) have a value under one, more pending cases than those with an outcome. Sweden is at 0.15 and its death rate is 76%.

With regard to Finland, it needs to be pointed out that three of the four largest cities in the country are part of the Helsinki metropolitan area, with a population surpassing a million people.

See, a Westerner who writes that sort of stuff is truly a dolt of the sort who eats his village idiot’s shit for superpowers but a middle easterner or muslim who believes what you’re writing may well be a very normal person who deserves a respectful reply.

I’ve been around and in my experience, any white dude (anglo or western european) who believes in zionist conspiracies of the larger sort is fit to be tied. In the middle east however (and to some degree in other places) such beliefs are the mainstay and one needn’t br any more insane to believe them than an Evangelical Christian needs to be insane to believe that he is speaking in tongues and that God impregnated a woman in order to give birth to himself, etc.

See, crazy beliefs can be held by normal people for various reasons but the most usual one is because everyone around him believes them or his parents believe them, etc.

In the Middle East and most other Muslim Majority Countries you can be quite sane to believe in the wilder stuff about Da Jooz (poisoning the well, christian blood, creating corona, etc) but whites born in the west need to be especially muddle-minded to take that comedy seriously.

So, are you a dumb american white girl worthy of mockery or a somewhat overzealous and overconfident brown guy born to muslim parents who’s no more worthy of mockery than your average believing mormon?
