Democrats are frenetically trying to pass legislation that’ll make it impossible for anyone on the government’s terrorist list to legally purchase a firearm. Their renewed Brownian motion is due to the murder, last Sunday, of 49 gay club-goers in Orlando, Florida. The Muslim American perpetrator also wounded 53 more.

The premise of passing such a law, one would hope, is this: Had mass murderer Omar Saddiqui Mateen been in the “Terrorist Screening Database,” he would not have been authorized to purchase the long gun (AR-15 rifle) and handgun (a Glock) he used in the massacre. Both were bought legally.

Here’s the rub: But for a brief appearance, Mateen was not on the government’s terrorist watch list. He didn’t qualify. But boy, did he try. Mateen gave it his best. Government agents diligently kept him off The List. For Omar Mateen it was near impossible to get on the terror watch list.

He may not have come out as a homosexual, but Mateen was loud and proud about his orientation as an aspiring Islamic terrorist. He did so while safely ensconced in law-enforcement. His career Mateen launched at the Florida Department of Corrections. His duties frequently took him to the St. Lucie County courthouse, in Fort Pierce. Mateen was serving as guardian of people and property when he committed the worst massacre since 9/11.

Since 2007, Mateen had worked at the Florida subsidiary of a multinational British security firm, the largest in the world, and, as we now know, likely one of the worst. Mateen’s (likely Kufar) coworkers described him as “racist, belligerent” and generally “toxic.” G4S responded by transferring the complaining coworkers rather than firing the menacing Mateen.

G4S Secure Solutions has contracts with the Department of Homeland Security. It would appear the company assists DHS in operating the taxpayer-funded, catch-and-release, illegal-alien racket. According to investigative journalist Paul Sperry, many of these offenders are “classified as OTMs—Other Than Mexican—and include … possibly also foreign border-crossers from the Middle East and Pakistan.”

In addition, the company provides security in places like Afghanistan and Iraq. (In its dealings, G4S Secure Solutions conjures the fictitious Richard Roper’s cartel. Roper is the villain in The Night Manager, a John le Carré novel adapted for television . With the help of government agents as his conduit for corruption, Roper traffics in arms, drugs and human misery.)

Try as he might, no amount of offense Mateen gave could get him fired. Not even to boast about his alleged connections to al Qaeda, Hezbollah or his yearning for martyrdom. There were derogatory quips about gays and women, too. At the time, the FBI, like G4S, was unfazed. Al Qaeda and Hezbollah are at odds with each other and with ISIS, noodled FBI Director James Comey, post massacre. That Mateen was clueless about the Shia-Sunni divide signaled to the FBI—to the exclusion of all other possibilities—that he wasn’t to be taken seriously as a threat.

Comey seemed to think that to be considered potentially dangerous, a Muslim Millennial—the beneficiary of an American education—must know the ins-and-outs of Islam’s religious sects. It didn’t occur to Comey and his compadres that killing and said ignorance are not mutually exclusive. It did not occur to Comey that Islam unites all of its factions in hatred of the infidel.

In 2013, pursuant to bandying about his ties to terrorists and boasting of his martyr’s aspirations—Mateen was finally interviewed by the FBI, whereupon he blamed workplace bullying. To Barack Obama’s FBI, that settled it. The boy was a victim.

Twice did our martyr-in-the-making embark on purported pilgrimages to Saudi Arabia. The Hajj pilgrimage requires only one visit to the Saud. As far as we know, Mateen’s pilgrimages didn’t coincide with the annual Hajj. He was likely not circumambulating the Kaaba. To justify his 2011 and 2012 trips to that hellhole, Mateen came up with a lesser obligation, the Umrah, an open-ended Muslim mitzvah, which can easily cover for an aspiring Jihadi’s training schedule. Alas, to the sleuths of the FBI, such thinking would have amounted to conspiracy.

Besides sojourning to Saudi Arabia and talking smack to infidels, Mateen attempted to flag the FBI as follows:

On Facebook, he shared an entry of an Imam calling for the death of homosexuals. He also claimed ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi as a soulmate.

And he worshipped at the mosque that produced another American pioneer, our first exported homicide bomber, Moner Abu-Salha. The Palestinian Abu-Salha lived a stone’s throw from Mateen who knew him. To Comey, this was not a piece of a puzzle, but a discrete, disconnected tidbit to be dismissed as an artifact, a coincidence.

The government agency’s media front men and women insist that there’s nothing here to see. All are agreed that the FBI’s 35,000 agents can’t possibly be expected to surveil 1000 purported suspects. In the private, productive economy that state-of-affairs would portend subpar—make that abysmal—productivity. Try telling the clientele you cater to that the 35 workers in your employ can’t possibly be expected to carry a caseload of … one, for that’s the ratio of workers-to-work the FBI is kvetching about.

The malfunctioning media are not eager to broadcast news that redeems gun owners and damns government agencies tasked with stopping gun-toting terrorists. However, the owner of Lotus Gunworks, in Jensen Beach, had notified the FBI that Mateen sought to purchase “level-three body armor” and bulk ammunition. He did so weeks before Mateen dispatched the 49 patrons of Pulse Orlando. The gun-store owner told the FBI Mateen was rattling into his phone (likely to his bride) in Arabic. The information had no takers.

Light a candle, say a prayer. Move on. That’s what your government and its agents want you to do. If you are so suited to obedience, remember the following, at least:

The FBI missed the Tsarnaev Brothers of Boston Marathon fame. They missed The Fockers, I mean the Farooks, butchers of San Bernardino, and they missed Omar Saddiqui Mateen, whose actions media are now finessing as those of a latent homosexual-cum-homophobe, fixated on phallic symbols like big guns.

I must say this photo is oddly iconic like the Che Guevara image. T-shirt worthy.
    Someone should marketize it.

And it says something of our age. The narcissism and the radicalism.

Omar was a Muslim version of the SJW, except he didn’t play by PC playbook but by the Koran.

And I must say he sort of looks like Milo Yianopoulos.

    And both are unlikely frutkins.

Milo is a Trump-supporting ‘conservative’ even though he’s taken a gallon of Negro cum up his arse.

Omar is a hardline Muslim Jihadi even though he likes to suck dick.

YES – Omar Mateen had to be proud of being a gay, an employee of one of world’s largest security company which hires Israeli military officials as trainers, and an FBI informant – like any red-blooded American White or Zionist Jew would be.

It’s reported that FBI warned Mateen’s ex-wife not to make any comment on Mateen’s sexual “orientation”, which is supported by the Organized Jewry for being “Israel’s secret WMD”.

Israel has history of selling ‘Jewish’ love toward gay and lesbian communities while accusing Muslim countries of killing and persecuting these people. So much so, that it has boasted its Capital City Tel Aviv as Pink City which is home to over 280 Jewish brothels. Last year, the City built a Holocaust Monument in honor of LGBT community members who suffered under the Nazis in Europe.

In 2013, former American Jewish lawmaker Frank Barney, applied his gayness against Iranian people on anti-Persian Jewish Purim celebration.

Professor Sarah Schulman (College of Staten Island, New York), a committed Jew lesbian has boasted that gay rights movement is Jewish….

Please refresh my memory. I do distinctly remember that the soul-searching discussions that followed the 1993 World Trade Center bombing established that the order to proceed was given by PEOPLE IN CUSTODY ALLOWED TO USE THEIR MOBILE PHONES, IN ARABIC! They “were just rattling into their phones” (in their f*****g lingo)! And that came at a time when the Security Agencies were reducing their Arab (or other non-English speakers) employees, for security reasons! It was the time when the idea that the English language had really ‘conquered’ the world and therefore it was a waste of money to teach foreign languages, was triumphantly announced to the world by the ‘exceptionalist’ AS.

Yeah, I appreciate the fact that this may be ancient history to the usual suspects, but I wonder what the columnist has commented about these crackpots…

“Even after his death, Kahane has had a tremendous influence on the Israeli political scene. In March 1994, the Kach party and its offshoot, Kahane Chai (“Kahane Lives”), founded by Kahane’s son Binyamin Zev, were officially designated as terrorist organizations by both the Israeli government and the U.S. State Department. The immediate cause of this designation was the February 1994 attack on the al-Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron, in which Kach member Baruch Goldstein shot 34 Muslims. Kach supported Goldstein’s actions, and referred to him as a “hero.” More recently, Binyamin Zev Kahane made waves by condoning Yigal Amir’s 1995 assassination of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin.”

His rifle was a Sig MCX, a derivative of the AR-15. There are some technical differences, but they are both magazine fed, semi automatic rifles with pistol grips shooting the same calibers. The upper of the Sig MCX will fit and operate on a standard AR-15 Mil Spec lower. The main differences are how the gas system operates and where the recoil springs are located. The controls on both rifles are the same, except that the MCX’s are ambidextrous where the AR is set up for righties.

Like it or not, AR-15 has become short hand for any black rifle. Like coke is shorthand for a carbonated soft drink. Xerox is shorthand for making copies . Kleenex is shorthand for a box of tissue.

Yeah, but every six weeks or so the Federales do announce the stopping of some pending assault … almost always by someone they’ve approached and armed with dummy weapons because he agreed with the hypothetical phrases they baited him with (proving mens rea) and they nab him pulling the trigger (providing actus reus). All politicians are backed by Jews. All of them are not for us. I’m not pro-Trump. I’m not pro-any politician. Trump is a philosemite. His kids married Jews. If Trump wins (which I doubt), he will turn out to be just the same as all the other candidates and former Presidents of the country. Case in point:

He also cites a video ( endorsement he gave Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for the Jewish state’s January 2013 election, expressing pride that it was “at the time the only ad done by a celebrity” for Netanyahu.

There are already 14 declared Republican presidential candidates, and many of them are publicly expressing support for Israel, but Trump argues—in his typically brash and blunt fashion—that his history with the Jewish people and the Jewish state can set him apart from the rest of the crowded GOP field.

Donald Trump: “I think President Obama is one of the worst things that’s ever happened to Israel. I think he’s set back [Israeli] relations with the United States terribly, and for people and friends of mine who are Jewish, I don’t know how they can support President Obama. He has been very bad for Israel.”

On Friday, the Hebrew-language print edition featured an interview with Trump — translated into English online — in which he assured Israelis that, far from being “neutral” on the Middle East, his election would be “tremendous news for Israel.”

And I think Trump is a horrible speaker. Repeats the same things over and over. I know he is the Teleprompter in Chief, but Obama is miles ahead of Trump when his teleprompter is working. His delivery is miles ahead of Trump, which even with a teleprompter I don’t think will change.

Trump is not for us the people; Trump is for Trump, the Jews and his new Jewish family.

Al Qaeda and Hezbollah at odds, Shia-Sunni divide? Clueless to the exclusion of all other possibilities? One need only look at Democrats and Republicans in Washington to arrive at the same seeming contradiction. Clueless.

Again, I ask why nobody rushed the turd-faced Omar while he was changing clips?

OPD statement, June 12: On June 12, 2016, just after 2 a.m., an Orlando Police Officer working extra duty at the Pulse Nightclub, located at 1912 S. Orange Ave., responded to shots fired.

He was in uniform and appears to have fired at Mateen after he killed the door security, but got smartly out of the gunman’s way after realising a self loading rifle was being used. Two other cops arrived outside and did much the same. “Outgunned”, according to the police department, but in the club Mateen would not be at much of an advantage if the officer had been a little more determined, or reengaged when Mateen , who had lingered in the entrance area, fired from there at police who’d arrived outside; he might have been under fire on both sides at that point if the police had walked the walk.

Unfortunately, the entertainment industry has so warped realistic expectations of a man with a gun and a badge that less than heroic actions by cops who arrive at the begining of a massacre and retreat or stay put so as to emerge without a scratch on them are too difficult to process.

I don’y know that a religion incapable of inspiring aderents to rise in its defence would still be around. Mohammed was a political and military leader as well as a religious one. There is no agreement as to what constitutes “religion”, or how to demarcate it from the cultural aspects of regional group identity. Mateen’s religion seems to have interacted with his ancestal homeland sympathies, but Islam was surely a very important factor for him. From what I have read, Muslims’ national feeling is weak. Christianity has been comparatvely weak in relation to Western nation states for a half a millenium

besides, Jewish population in FL is maybe second only to New York; they’re mostly old people. Jewish kids don’t want their parents leaving Florida and moving in with them.

AND, — this was not about Trump, this staged event is intended to favor HRC, and she will need Florida’s Jewish vote — assuming all those old Jewish studda bubbas can punch the right chads.

Also consider the fact that the Obama Administration has stripped from the FBI training materials anything dealing with Islamic radicalism and have put Muslims in a super protected class in this country.

Add this up and you end up where we are – on our own.

This is why Omar could threaten to have ISIS murder a sheriff deputy in FLA and his family and get no response from the FBI even after the head sheriff reported it.

The can be applied to Maj. Hassan who openly communicated with Al Awalki in Yemen and stated to his fellow Army officers that he is a soldier of Allah and supported Jihad against America, yet no investigations were done.

    The list goes on.

Bottom line: Obama and the Left along most of the GOP doesn’t care if we’re slaughtered. They have a agenda to pursue and if we’re slaughterd, well tough.

The last account I read, he had gathered hostages in a room, the SWAT police broke the wall down, liberally sprayed rounds about, and in the process, contributed a few of the hostages to the death and serious casualty toll (admittedly, that last point was not part of that account, but pretty certain).

The account that you state, that he was like Tony Montana in the eighties version of Scarface, is most likely post-facto bs to absolve the SWATs of their small contribution to the overall death toll.

Here’s the account I remembered (bold added):

“Based off statements made by the suspect, and based on information we received by the suspect and from the hostages and the people inside,” Mina said, “we believe further loss of life was imminent. I made the decision to commence the rescue operation and do the explosive breach.”

A SWAT team summoned by Orlando Police set up three explosive charges controlled by one device, but failed to topple the exterior wall leading to the bathroom that included 15 to 20 people. So Mina made the call to use the Bearcat.

Officers wore combat-grade body armor and helmets as they rammed a bathroom wall of the Pulse nightclub, creating a small hole — big enough for people to crawl through — so the score of captives could escape.

Along with the freed hostages who were hopping out of the jagged portal to freedom was Mateen who was wielding an AR-15 rifle and semi-automatic Glock handgun he bought days earlier from a Port St. Lucie gun shop. He fired at officers, striking one of them in his helmet before he was shot several times and killed.

“There’s a hole in the wall about two feet off the ground and three feet wide. We were able to rescue dozens and dozens of people who came out of that wall,” Mina said. “The suspect came out of that hole himself with a handgun and a long gun and engaged in a gun battle with officers where he was ultimately killed.””
(Mina’s account was also reported in many other outlets.)

I see no reason to disbelieve Mina’s account except wishful thinking. But in underestimating your enemies you only harm yourself and your own cause.

Sadly, even on a relatively thoughtful website most Americans would rather trash an entire religion than honestly confront the inevitable blowback of their government’s “foreign policy.”

It’s not unusual in the real world for more than one issue to contribute to particular problems. There’s no real difficulty in identifying the main ones here. As Steve Sailer has long pointed out, it’s “invade the world and invite the world”.

More specifically, US foreign policy and mass immigration, in particular of muslims as far as the issue of terrorism is concerned, are the main problems we need to address.

We’re afflicted with a nationwide disease of denial about Washington’s imperialism. Among supposed “conservatives,” the symptoms include the quasi-worship of all things military, covering football fields with halftime flags, etc. Purported “liberals” seize upon the edgiest quips of Mr. Trump while willfully ignoring that the awful conduct of our government under Mr. Bush has seamlessly continued under Mr. Obama. I would suggest for your further consideration that both “sides” can be relied upon to broadbrush around the differing race, religion, nationality, sexual proclivity, etc, of the next wacko.

It does sound logical to suggest that massacres are likely to take place where other people are unarmed. Taking the logic further one should expect tactics to change ifthe intened victims were likely to be armed. Bombs and poison gas would become the weapons of choice.

  68. L.K says:

You are absolutely correct that there are ‘substantial factions of Islam that do not preach hatred of non Muslims’. I’d add that such factions also preach unity between different Islamic sects.

The virulent strains are, in fact, the ones that ZUSA & Israel work with, directly or, more commonly, through their Gulf Arab clients, Zaudi Arabia, aka, kingdom of nihilism, first and foremost among them. I’m speaking of Salafism/Wahabism, the ideologies of the various Al-ciada groups as well as ISIS.

You are quite correct about Hezbollah too. Even Robert Baer, a veteran CIA field officer in Lebanon, and hostile to Hezbollah, warned of the sectarian bloodbath the US, Israel, and Saudi Arabia were planning to unleash. He declared:

“we’ve got Sunni Arabs preparing for cataclysmic conflict, and we will need somebody to protect the Christians in Lebanon. It used to be the French and the United States who would do it, and now it’s going to be Nasrallah and the Shiites”

From an article on the Christian Post, in May 2015, it was reported:

…Rifit Nasrallah, a Catholic businessman who is part of the militias fighting ISIS in Ras Baalbek, discussed the alliance with Hezbollah in an International Business Times report last month.

“We’re in a very dangerous situation,” he said. “The only people who are protecting us are the resistance of Hezbollah. The only one standing with the army is Hezbollah. Let’s not hide it anymore.”

Nasrallah said Hezbollah does not expect its allies to convert to Islam or create an allegiance to the group’s ideals.

“They accept us as we are,” he said. “They do not impose on us anything. When there’s an occasion, they come to our children’s birthdays. The people here accept that Hezbollah comes and helps.”
…The group trained Christians in Syria to fight ISIS alongside them, according to a November report from Lebanese newspaper An-Nahar and even paid wages similar to Hezbollah members for Christians joining their ranks.

As a Zionist writer, Mercer obviously tries to prop up the many myths about Muslim terrorism which in turn help fuel the completely synthetic war on terror, a war for Israel, fought mainly by other parties, be it US troops or Salafi/wahabi mercenaries.

The guy was certainly behaving suspiciously, but, as a libertarian, what do you think the government should do about that? Is the role of government to prevent crime, or simply to punish it? If Omar had been boasting of his connections to the KKK instead of Hezbollah, would you have encouraged the government to place him under arrest before he had committed violence?

In a libertarian society, I expect any one of those people who interacted with Omar would have considered the possibility of privately investigating him. His employer, G4S, would certainly have had a motive to see if he was acting in a threatening manner and to dismiss him from employment. So political correctness does seem to be part of the problem. No doubt, G4S was afraid of a lawsuit if they wrongfully terminated him, which is only possible because of our ludicrous anti-discrimination laws.

There’s a picture of what is presumably the hole in question at the link provided. It’s clearly big enough for people to emerge quickly from it and run (you wouldn’t crawl out – as the article itself says, it’s some height off the ground), and there’s no reason to suppose Mateen could not easily have gotten off a few shots whilst emerging behind hostages, before the police had any clear shot. There’s nothing particularly implausible about this account.

I also object to your ‘died like a man’ bullshit.

Going out in a stand up shootout is generally what people regard as “dying like a man” (regardless of preceding events and motivations). Indeed, one serious criticism imo of the likes of Saddam Hussein and Slobodan Milosevic is that in the end, for all their tough talk, they failed to die like men (in Milosevic’s case, he should have shot himself, for surrendering to his country’s enemies, in Saddam’s case, he should have died fighting) and instead allowed themselves to be captured.

I suppose so, but for a man in his position, who was brutally, ruthlessly murderous in power and who had waged wars of aggression and led his nation and its military to disaster, the least I would require of such a man would be to go down with the ship – either take his own life or go down fighting to the end. Meekly surrendering and letting his country’s conquerors stage a show trial, and parade him in propaganda shots, was imo one of Saddam’s more despicable acts. (Not to say that in its direct consequences it compares with murderous acts of repression or starting a war, obviously, but those things go with the territory for a national ruler. Surrendering should not.)

I have the same opinion of Milosevic, who was not the same class of violence as Saddam and whose country was not occupied, but nevertheless a man who had ruled to some extent by force and should have taken responsibility for defeat like a man.

For avoidance of doubt, given my negative portrayal of Saddam above, I was a bitter and open opponent of the attack on Iraq (I marched with my family in London at the UK’s biggest demonstration ever – the first and only political demonstration I’ve ever been on, being conservative and all), by the way. Just not under any illusions about the nature of the beast.
