Of the many men who toil in high-tech, few are as heroic as James Damore, the young man who penned the manifesto “Google’s Ideological Echo Chamber.” In it, Damore calmly and logically exposed the tyrannical ideological edifice erected to perpetuate the myth that, in aggregate, women and men are identical in aptitude and interests, and that “all disparities in representation are due to oppression.”

Despite active recruiting and ample affirmative action, women made up only 14.5 percent and 12.5 percent, respectively, of computer science and electrical engineering graduates, in 2015. While they comprise 21.4 percent of undergraduates enrolled in engineering, females earned only 19.9 percent of all Bachelor’s degrees awarded by an engineering program in 2015.”

There is attrition!

Overall, and in the same year, 80.1 percent of Bachelor’s degrees in engineering went to men; 19.9 percent to women. (“Engineering by the Numbers,” By Brian L. Yoder, Ph.D.)

As Damore, and anyone in the world of high-tech knows, entire human resource departments in the high-tech sector are dedicated to recruiting, mentoring, and just plain dealing with women and their ongoing nagging and special needs.

In high-tech, almost nothing is as politically precious as a woman with some aptitude. There’s no end to which companies will go to procure women and help them succeed, often to the detriment of technically competent men and women who must do double duty. Their procurement being at a premium, concepts such as “sucking it up” and soldiering on are often anathema to coddled distaff.

A woman in high-technology can carp constantly about … being a woman in high-tech. Her gender—more so than her capabilities—is what defines her and endears her to her higher-ups, for whom she’s a notch in the belt.

While male engineers—and, indubitably, some exceptional women—are hired to be hard at work designing and shipping tangible products;women in high tech, in the aggregate, are free to branch out; to hone a niche as a voice for their gender.

Arisen online and beyond is a niche-market of nudniks (nags): Women talking, blogging, vlogging, writing and publishing about women in high-technology or their absence therefrom; women beating the tom-tom about discrimination and stereotyping, but saying absolutely nothing about the technology they presumably love and help create.

Young women, in particular, are pioneers of this new, intangible, but lethal field of meta-technology: kvetching (complaining) about their absence in technology with nary a mention of their achievements in technology.

The hashtag “MicrosoftWomen” speaks to the solipsistic universe created by females in high-tech and maintained by the house-broken males entrusted with supporting the menacing matriarchy. Are these ladies posting about the products they’ve partaken in designing and shipping? Not often. Women in high-tech are more likely to be tweeting out about … being women in high-tech. Theirs is a self-reverential and self-referential universe.


For example, to learn more about the unbearable lightness of being “principal engineering lead at Microsoft” when woman, turn to “I Want Her Job™.” Mind your P’s and Q’s, numskull. This isn’t a website—but a “community,” in the lingua franca of feminized America—bolstering women’s pursuits and careers. In trendy speak: “Connection. Community. Conversation.”

One featured techie’s professional title, aforementioned, is impressive: “principal engineering lead at Microsoft.” As is to be expected of a woman hard at work in the ruthlessly competitive field of high-tech, she spends her days as “a female tech ambassador,” writing fluffy, gyno-centric books on self-affirmation, “mentoring other women via Skype,” “answering emails … on how they, too, can enter the world of tech,” designing clothes, and, according to her impartial boosters, being the “next greatest female tech rock star.” It’s all in a woman’s day’s work.

The techie men known to this writer don’t have time to design clothes, although they dream of it (men and women being interchangeable, and all that stuff).

So intent are women on equal outcomes at all costs, as opposed to equality of opportunity, that they’re pleased to serve as political props; ornaments in a corporate world compelled to affirm the idea that under the skin—and but for the Great White and his wicked ways—men and women are similarly inclined and endowed.

Working from the premise that equality of representation—engineering being 50 percent female—is an achievable, desirable and laudable goal for all, Pinterest’s Tracy Chou, at, calls for “a ‘state of the union’ every year, where companies” are compelled to cough-up their latest “demographic data,” and are thus held “accountable” to the public, while also tracking which of their initiatives has worked.

To incriminate, presumably, Chou has published a series of charts detailing the male-to-female ratios in America’s technology titans. (Delve deeper and you find, moreover, that men are still doing most of the technical work; women the non-technical work.)

Yes, women are making different career choices. Viva la difference.

Of course, to say that “science [or applied science] needs women,” reasoned Theodore Dalrymple, in a 2014 Taki’s magazine column, is as logically consistent as saying that, “Heavyweight boxing needs Malays,” “football needs dwarf goalkeepers,” “quantity surveying needs bisexuals,” “lavatory cleaning needs left-handers.”

“Science does not need women any more than it needs foot fetishists, pole-vaulters, or Somalis. What science needs (if an abstraction such as science can be said to need anything) is scientists. If they happen also to be foot fetishists, pole-vaulters, or Somalis, so be it: but no one in his right mind would go to any lengths to recruit for his laboratory foot fetishists, pole-vaulters, or Somalis for those characteristics alone.”

    Anything that promotes a particular race, sex, or religion will always fail because it is a false economy. Business runs on people who get out there and do things besides talk about the things they are doing. All that fluff ends in failure because it produces nothing. The majority of Women don’t do well at engineering or brick laying, some do and that’s fine, if you have the chops, great, go forward but don’t think that affirmative action actually solves anything, it’s just an unproductive tax dodge. Women of course are superior in some areas, Viva La Differance! Do what you are good at and be happy.

  2. There are people walking around who believe that boys and girls are the same thing. Or negatively stated, there is no such thing as boys and girls. Stupidity cannot account for this. It has to be a belief. The secular equivalent of a religious belief. These same people believe, simultaneously, that there is no such thing as race and that white people are evil. Dogmatic and bereft of reason they are slaves to the only thing they trust. Emotion. These are our SJWs or Maoists if you prefer. They bear watching lest those of us still influenced by the Enlightenment find ourselves consigned to re-education camps.

    The reason for low percentage of woman engineers in USA may be due to reasons completely different from what’s insinuated in this article. American women, at least the younger ones are increasingly assertive and more ambitious than the previous generation and rightly so. They know engineering in contemporary America is a low status and comparatively low paid profession. Those women clever enough to end up in the Ivy League, Berkeley, Stanford, UCLA, and similar ilk would dream of working in Wall St , Nob Hill (banking, hedge fund) or Silicon Valley as a tech nerd. Incidentally most tech nerds have a computer science/maths/finance background and almost none are engineers-they usually outsource the hard engineering work to China, Korea or India. Heck, some of these clever women dream of the next start up opportunity so they could outdo air nub. Some dream of becoming wealthy lawyers or doctors (I think women have reached 50% parity in medicine in US). But engineering? Nah!

    Yes, it looks like more of an initiation ritual.

    In the Europe of the Middle Ages being a Christian wasn’t optional. You needed to be an active Christian (and condemn heretics) to be part of respectable society and get ahead.

    Equally in the Soviet Union, higher level positions only came with membership of the Communist Party- and members were required to know and repeat the endlessly boring dogma despite knowing that it was mostly rubbish.

    And there are some similarities in the US, with Politically Correctness being an entry requirement for “respectable society” – probably often faked to gain access to the associated social and economic benefits. The PC views themselves are carefully crafted (along religious lines) to build a defensive wall around the new (basically Zionist) power structure. The reward/punishment system protects spectacular inequality while calling for equality (for outsiders) with the automatic rejection of heretics/questioners/unbelievers as defined by the MSM.

    Behind all these systems there is also the threat of force against unbelievers – with the US Zioglob still working on dismantling Democracy and building up the NSA (spy network) and Homeland Security (NKVD) for effective enforcement.

    My prediction is that Homeland Security jobs will offer very good pay and conditions, with employees living separate from the general public , having a high status and a high percentage of minority agents.

  7. I well remember the Internet back in the dark ages when it was powered with dodgy phone lines, lots of c:// codes and reams of text. Women at the time complained that the web was not “chick friendly.” Only when programmers developed lots of them pitchers, video and dating sites did women suddenly become interested in it. Damore is spot on.

    Diversity and Inclusion is a scheme to buy the votes of people that hate white straight Christians.

    Google is a huge promoter of the diversity scheme.

    Race or sex or religion or ethnic group-based entitlements are used primarily to buy the votes of weak-minded people, and are not used necessarily to promote economic activity.

    The fact that the federal government doesn’t have a delegated constitutional power to create entitlements or civil rights is also vastly misunderstood.

    According to the US constitution, creating civil rights or entitlements is a state-people power, not a federal power.

    The ultimate aim is physical destruction of human beings, the more gory the better. And yes, they will do it manually, to feel and taste the warm throbbing heart cut from a victim’s chest with a sapphire knife.

And in regards to people being interested in tech and science, it’s only a small percent at best. Interest in those fields often shows up at a early age. It’s not something you need to take a course in to know if you like it.

    Is your child drawn to mechanics, astronomy, chemistry or electricity at a early age say 8-12? If s/he you may have a engineer/scientist on your hands. If they don’t they don’t.

    Some kids may like music, painting, making figurines, etc. That’s good too. A women shouldn’t feel sad or dumb that she likes to make dolls or do leatherwork. It’s not a contest. They need to understand the tech field eats men up and spits them out. Burn out is common, it’s a obsession that costs men their families as well. Look you have to have a bit of OCD to be good at it. Because progress never stops and you need to be on top all the time. That means studying at home.

    If women have the talent to be good in tech, they’d avoid engineering and programming for the simple fact those jobs are still being sent to Asia or foreigners imported here to replace Americans. In the end they’ll find themselves unemployed with all the male engineers. It will just take longer.

    No, they outsource the repetitive, boring, cookbook work to India and China.

    If you are truly among the driven and elite design engineers-the guys who do the cutting edge difficult stuff-you want to be in the United States, and you are still disproportionally a white male, although there are a few Chinese, Japanese, Koreans, and a few females of any of the above groups, and an odd Indian or two. And an occasional, very occasional complete outlier.

    To get a feel for how analog electronics were designed, I highly recommend the books of the late Jim Williams and the late Bob Pease. You do not have to be an engineer to read these books. Neither man remotely had anything to do with WN-Williams was married to a distinctly nonwhite woman, a doctor, as I recall-but the perceptive reader will see what the Asian electronics colossi could do and what they could not (and mostly still can’t). And in digital, the gap in creativity is even farther. One hundred per cent of the processor architectures in use today were developed in White, English speaking countries.

    Even on a hobby level this still applies. Japanese electronics hobby magazines (like the audio oriented Musen-to-Jikken MJ Audio Technology) are much better in their details than US ones, but the engineering is all very, very cookbook. (You audio buffs, if any are still even alive, can get a copy from Kinokuniya online for not that much money.)
