No good deed goes unpunished. Jeff Sessions wants to restore to America the “sound principles of asylum” and long-standing tenets of immigration law, abandoned by American leaders over the decades.

That makes the attorney general a Hitler, to use liberal argumentation. Condemned for all eternity.

As the left sees it, if America isn’t going to police the world; it must at least provide shelter to all people from unpoliced parts of the world.

That’s the left’s reason du jour for opposing the restoration of American immigration sovereignty.

And now, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) is piling on.

By narrowing promiscuously broad asylum criteria—the system is being gamed, attests Andrew Arthur, a former immigration judge—Sessions stands accused of flouting the “right to life” of the women of the world.

No matter that America has its own share of abused women “persecuted by their husbands and ignored by their own governments.” The last, parenthetic remarks were uttered by immigration lawyers, who mask greed with prattle about values.

This legal club is looking out exclusively for the women of the world, not the women of America. To them, we are the world.

Over the objections of such rent-seekers, Sessions has dared to say “no!”

“Asylum was never meant to alleviate all problems—even all serious problems—that people face every day all over the world,” reasoned Sessions, quite sagaciously.

To manipulate Americans, politicians (save the likes of President Trump and his attorney general) use the values cudgel.

With respect to immigration, the idea is to impress upon pliable Americans that the world has a global Right of Return to the U.S. Fail to accept egalitarian immigration for all into America; and you are flouting the very essence of Americanism.

When a politician or a high priest like Cardinal Daniel DiNardo, president of the USCCB, pules about “the values that make our country great” (originally the mantra of Mrs. Hillary Clinton), this is what they invariably mean:

Wide-swung borders, multiculturalism, pluralism; accepting Islam as peace and the majority in America as dangerously pale and privileged; “recognizing” that communities divided in diversity are a strength, and that a living, breathing, mutating Constitution mandates all of the above.

Just ask Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

For them, “protecting” the abstraction that is “our way of life” trumps the protection of real individual lives. “We must guard against a weakening of the values that make us who we are,” dissembled Barack Obama in the waning weeks before he was gone.

Meandered U.S. Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto, Democrat from the state of Nevada:

“Attorney General Sessions continues to betray every American value of compassion, justice, and respect for the rule of law. This is not who [sic] America is.”

The hollow values phrases are meant to make the sovereign citizen forget government’s most important role, if not its only role: to uphold the individual rights of its citizens.

Self-government, and not imposed government, implies that society, and not The State, is to develop its own value systems.

The State’s role is to protect citizens as they go about their business peacefully, living in accordance with their peaceful values.

Whenever you hear an appeal to “permanent values”—”the values that make our country great”—know you are dealing with world-class crooks. These crooks want to swindle you out of the freedom to think and believe as you wish.

For in the classical conservative and libertarian traditions, values are private things, to be left to civil society—the individual, family and church—to practice and police.

The American government is charged purely with upholding the law, no more. Why so? Because government has police and military powers with which to enforce its “values.”

A free people dare not entrust such an omnipotent entity with setting or policing values, at home or abroad.

For values enforced are dogma.

When incontestable majorities call on government to curb Islamic and Latin-American in-migration because this imperils American lives, President Trump’s unswerving opponents, on this front—Ryan, McCain, Graham, Schumer and their media mafia—invariably intone, “That’s not who we are.”

When you hear that manipulative chant, tell them to mind their own business. Tell them to stick to their strict constitutional mandate to protect the people, not police their minds.

Remember: Through an appeal to values, the State aggrandizes itself.

A limited government, serving an ostensibly free people, has no right to push through illegitimate government policy by merely appealing to “our values,” because a legitimate American government has no right to enforce values.

Right on! Every time I hear Obama say “It’s not who we are” I just want to puke. Who is he to define for me who I am and what my values are? It’s absolutely the most infuriating thing to come out of any self-righteous prick’s mouth. Any politician who’s ever said that should be immediately voted out of office, period.

They mean right of return of Catholic Latinos. Who/Whom.

As such it is both totally understandable and conflicted and corrupt.

No need to make it any more complex.

I think ‘nominally catholic mestizos/indios’ would be more apropos.

  4. (((Ilana))), you need to go to Israel and preserve your borders there. The Gaza area needs help.

  5. FWIW, the “open borders” fanatics usually make an exception for one group: South African Whites. Yes, the same “human rights” busybodies who want to allow the dark-skinned peoples of the world to colonize North America, Europe and Australia without let or hindrance believe that the Afrikaners should be forced to stay put and accept whatever fate the vengeful majority in their native country decides for them. Ironic, since South African Whites are one of the few groups who have a real claim for asylum due to race-based persecution; most “refugees” from the Third World are just economic migrants.

This is a very useful way to say that America is not responsible for the whole world’s problems.

Quite right, and America has borders to deal with the issue. The problem is that pro-Israel Jewish activists are inside the border rather than outside of it.

They belong in Israel where they can agitate as much as they like for Israel’s benefit.

(((Mercer))) and her family had a lot to do with the problems the white South Africans are facing.

Yes, they did and I would like to see her address that in an article.

  10. She never will. But it’s not really that important. I just point out her past so new commentators are aware of her. The Jews have their country with their capital.

The problems the West is facing come from two groups: RCCers and Zioevangizers. The Vatican is going to hold a conference with the World Council of Churches on migration and xenophobia.

Frannie is worried. The RCC has collapsed in the West and the USA. The plan in the USA was to use all the RCC churches to push the one world agenda, immigration, climate change control, etc. It has backfired. I listen to both the liberal and trad RCC podcasts and read their websites. The liberals have a new crusade: banning plastic drinking straws. They were going to use the USA RCC churches to implement the change. However, so many RCC churches are closing, they won’t be able to do anything. The trad RCCers are bewildered and don’t know how to react to what’s going on. The liberals thought they would move in and take over, but many RCCers have left the RCC and are converting to the Orthodox Church where the churches are racial/ethnic and more independent. Liberals of any kind cannot create, develop, and maintain any viable institutions. They are parasitical. Once the conservatives leave an institution, the institution collapses. Cucks don’t fight. They will always run away. This is good though. The left/right view is gone. The fight is now only for the West.

The Zioevangizers are in the final throes of their rapture madness. No one is falling for their theological nonsense and they are losing members rapidly. In addition to their attacks on the RCC, they are now attacking the Orthodox Church. The Orthodox Church is a serious challenge to everyone. I saw a podcast by the evil Zioevangizer Perry Stone wherein he said that Roman Catholics and Orthodox Christians are now Luciferians. Stone is one of the biggest Luciferians out there. A Zioevangizer cuck Derek Gilbert also criticized the Orthodox Church. The largest Orthodox denomination is the Russian Orthodox. Putin will not allow Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses or Southern Baptists to proselytize in Russia. These bizarre American cults work within the USA. However, the Southern Baptists have many Zioevangizers and are very dangerous. Mike Pence is a Zioevangizer. Even though Trump is healthy, we do not not when it will be our last day. Pence can never become the president. He is dangerous.

This is why while I may point out Jewish degeneracy, our enemies are the RCC and Zioevangizers.

  11. Once again, I, product of a Catholic school education, side with the smart and beautiful daughter of a South African rabbi in her dispute with the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.

Well, as they taught us in school, even the Pope’s ex-cathedra infallibility is limited to a very small number of fundamental matters of faith and doctrine. And Pope Francis himself regularly reminds us of how off-the-mark he can get when he strays from such matters and delves into the area of political economy, immigration policy in particular.

If CNN’s Jim Acosta were to learn of these papal limits, he might stop auditioning for the job as the Pontiff’s successor.

“Wise Jewess” is an oxymoron. Mercer, her rabbi father and family were kicked out of South Africa for their anti-apartheid work.

As to cuck pope Frannie, the RCC is collapsing. I am a cradle Catholic who also attended RCC school and university. Diversity has destroyed the RCC. If you accept black/Asian priests-popes, you are the problem. Frannie is a one-man wrecking crew.

  13. densa says:

The Church is acting as if it was the State. Maybe money has blurred the lines. The USCCB is in the refugee industry. A website OnePeterFive tried to figure out just how much money and found on that they had received $635,250,750 between 2011 and 2016. Of that $452,108,508 was directly under Migration and Refugee Assistance, but no doubt much of their other spending for childcare and such is also immigration related. The more immigrants, the more money.

I’d like to see all the religious institutions get back on their own side of the net. If they want to pontificate, they can at least do it on their own dime.

  14. @Realist

in her book, Into The Cannibal’s Pot, Issacsohn-Mercer mentions her family’s anti-White activism at least 5 times. Read it.

but now she’s a good Jew.
