China is notorious for a “Social Credit System” that controls the lives of citizens, rewarding what the authorities want and punishing what they don’t. The United States has a social credit system, too, even if we don’t call it that. And ours is worse.

The Chinese system tries to build social trust. Ours destroys trust. The Chinese system defends the interests of the Han, the ethnic group that built and sustains Chinese civilization. Our system hurts whites. The Chinese system encourages charity, good citizenship, and patriotism. Ours incites hatred and spreads bitterness and division.

The Chinese government’s goals are clear: According to a 2014 planning document, the state wants to build a “social credit environment of honesty, self-discipline, trustworthiness, and mutual trust.” Despite the reputation of the Chinese Communist Party, there is no central system of control, but that is only because the government lacks the capacity. According to the 2014 plan, by this year, China should have “basically” completed “a credit investigation system covering the entire society with credit information and resource sharing.”

Vox reports China has a grading system for people from A to D. Ds are “untrustworthy.” “Citizens can earn points for good deeds like volunteering, donating blood, or attracting investments to the city,” said the MIT Technology Review in 2019. “They can lose them for offenses like breaking traffic rules, evading taxes, or neglecting to care for their elderly parents.” Taking seats on public transportation reserved for old people or doing anything the South China Morning Post called “uncivilized behavior” can also cost points.

You can lose points for playing video games too often, buying too much alcohol, arguing at check-in counters, boarding a train without a ticket, getting into a fight, posting stickers hostile to the government, or letting chickens out of their coop. You can lose your dog if you walk it too often without a leash or if it bothers people. NPR reports that “if you spread rumors online” you could lose points, and even “spending frivolously” can cost points. The system punishes some things just as we do in the United States. If you drive drunk in China, you lose points. If you drive drunk in America, you can lose your license.

How does the system find out all this about you? The Chinese track people through a combination of cameras, facial recognition software, spies, and data from tech and social media companies. There are an estimated 626 million security cameras in China, capturing all sorts of behavior. The Straits Times reported that cameras caught a citizen jaywalking, recognized her face, and immediately put her photo up on a video screen above the street, along with her name and past infractions. The Chinese use drones disguised as birds.

There are groups of paid government informers. In one case, a group of senior citizens called the Chaoyang Masses supposedly tracked behavior, though some people thought the group was questionable. This could be a feature of the system; you don’t know who is watching. The New York Times reported in 2019 that the government uses students to track professors.

Companies such as Alibaba and Tencent track your online activity, and you can lose points if you publish political opinions without permission or talk about certain issues such as Tiananmen Square. You also lose points if your friends commit infractions; collective punishment helps isolate dissidents and discourage others. However, you can gain points if you parrot the government line. Some of this is self-reported and checked against data held by the government, tech companies, and surveillance records. There is an app called Sesame Credit that lets you track people’s scores. It is voluntary for now but will eventually be mandatory.

“Trust-breakers” go on an online “blacklist” that anyone can search. “Trust-keepers” go on an equivalent “redlist.” Everyone’s behavior is public, and the authorities encourage citizens to compete with each other to get good scores.

Good citizens can get discounts on energy bills, better returns on bank deposits, and can rent bikes or hotel rooms without paying deposits. Local officials praise them publicly. In Suzhou, “trust-keepers” get cut-rate public transportation.

Depending on the locale, if your credit score reaches 600, you can take out an instant loan of about $800 without collateral when shopping online. At a score of 650, you can rent a car without a deposit. At 700, you get priority for a Singapore travel permit, and at 750, you are on the fast track for a coveted Schengen visa for 28 European countries.

Punishments include banning you or your children from top schools, barring you from top jobs and the best hotels, and preventing you from buying high-speed train or air tickets.

Businesses also get grades on, for example, whether their advertising is deceptive. If their grades are too low, they can’t issue bonds or bid in land auctions.

There’s a financial aspect to the system. It costs points if a person or business fails to repay a loan. We have credit scores, too. The difference is that the Chinese government can — and does — deduct points for political reasons. It could cut a business or family out of normal activity for saying the wrong things. Your social credit “grade” could wreck your life.

If the system is fully imposed, it would be terrifying to be a D. China does not yet have a centralized, all-encompassing system. Different government agencies, localities, regions, and private companies share information and have different programs, rewards, and penalties. Two years ago, Foreign Policy explained that “unless people are sole proprietors or company representatives, have taken a loan or credit card, violated the law, or defaulted on a court judgment, they’re unlikely to be in the social credit database.”

China wants to get all 1.4 billion people into the system. Since China routed the Hong Kong autonomy movement, the system will surely spread there too. “All regions and departments should have ideological unity,” says the plan.

China is working hard in two areas that will help it control its people. The first is artificial intelligence to manage vast amounts of data. The United States and China are competing in AI systems, and that battle could help determine who rules this century. Collecting enormous amounts of data on citizens will mean finely detailed control.

The second area is digital currency. China is already experimenting with a digital yuan. Most people in China already use mobile apps for transactions, not cash. A full record of transactions, combined with AI, means tremendous government power to track individual behavior and modify social credit scores.

A “cashless,” total-social-credit China could be a prison. It would mean no unauthorized buying or selling, no political opposition (“ideological unity”), and little privacy. However, citizens would be forced to fulfill basic duties such as taking care of families and paying bills. They would be rewarded for helping their communities. The Chinese Communist Party would succeed in turning the people it rules into typical petit bourgeois with conservative norms.

The Chinese government wants to “broadly shape a strong atmosphere in the entire society that keeping trust is glorious and breaking trust is disgraceful . . . .” In other words, China wants a high-trust society.

Diversity destroys trust, as white advocates often point out. China is working to overcome this problem by replacing Tibetans and Uighurs with Han Chinese. The government is also Sinicizing these areas, especially by suppressing Islam. A faithful Muslim should rebel against these policies, but a Han Chinese sees this as protecting national interests.

We have the equivalent of a social credit system in the United States. It just has different incentives. You can lose your job for a politically incorrect remark caught on camera. Political dissidents find they can no longer use PayPal or even banks. Twitter bans people with whom it disagrees, while users with verified accounts can make threatening or violent statements.

“Spreading rumors” or “conspiracy theories” is cause for social media to boot you. Some journalists spend time hunting down people who spread “conspiracy theories.” If journalists or trolls decide that your small business or video channel needs to be deplatformed, they can complain to tech companies, and once you are off, there is no appeal. For many people, that means loss of livelihood.

Power-hungry people invent new forms of social credit all the time. Democrats have started a Trump Accountability Project so that Trump supporters can “never serve in office, join a corporate board, find a faculty position or be accepted into ‘polite’ society.” With a remarkable new website called Donor.Watch, you can find out exactly how much your neighbors (or anyone in the country) gave to any of the 2020 candidates. The tools are there for Democrats to set up shaming mobs to harass or intimidate Trump supporters.

Social media, which let ordinary people express themselves and were originally to be bastions of free speech, have taken it upon themselves to determine what is official information. Even now, Twitter is censoring President Trump, and Facebook is removing Trump supporters and their groups.

You can’t cast an informed vote or express yourself if you can’t learn or speak the truth. In his book Deleted, Allum Bokhari showed Google’s power to direct information, sway votes, and bury stories it doesn’t want covered. While the Democrats often say tech companies don’t censor enough, they at least recognize their power. A House Judiciary Committee report recently found that Amazon, Alphabet (Google/YouTube), Apple, and Facebook use monopoly power to suppress competition. President Trump’s Department of Justice recently sued Google, calling it the “gatekeeper of the Internet.”

Conservatives banned from the big platforms can go elsewhere, but what happens when Parler and Gab lose their payment processors or servers or even their bank accounts? Will we have to build our own banks and internet?

Our system is not exclusively punitive. The American system encourages banks to lend to non-whites with doubtful credit. There is a broad set of incentives to promote minority — especially black — bank ownership, even as black banks keep going under because they keep lending money to dubious black borrowers.

Social media openly promote Black Lives Matter, and every minority cause, holiday, and celebration. Book sellers direct you to endless titles on anti-racism and white privilege.

Unlike the Chinese version, American social credit is not state run and is even less centralized than China’s. However, it’s not true that the state has no involvement. Acting secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Kevin McAleenan admitted in 2019 that although the government cannot act as a censor, it expects to work with tech companies and “watchdog groups” to force ideas it doesn’t like off the internet.

The Republicans have done hardly anything about this. An American president is relatively weak, and unlike Xi Jinping, can’t issue orders through the bureaucracy and expect obedience. Perhaps President Trump lacks the will. Kamala Harris, probably the next vice president, appears to have plenty of it. She wants to give the FBI millions of dollars to “more vigilantly monitor white nationalist websites” and “put pressure on online platforms to take down content that violates their terms and conditions.”

Under a Biden/Harris White House, the partnership between state and media would therefore grow stronger. Like Chinese officials, many Democrats and journalists take it for granted that not only traditional media should promote certain stories and suppress others, but “open” social media should do the same. The American system increasingly resembles the Chinese, with ideology imposed from the top.

We do not have single-party rule in the United States, but we do when it comes to white interests. Republicans and Democrats unanimously blamed “White nationalists, white supremacists, the Ku Klux Klan, neo-Nazis and other hate groups” for violence at the Unite the Right rally in 2017 — as if antifa were not even there — even though local officials deliberately forced demonstrators and antifa together so that violence would be an excuse to shut down a legal rally. There may be two parties, but both agree that whites must not promote their collective interests in the streets or online.

Just as the Chinese system punishes people for associating with low-scoring trust-breakers, the media and “watchdog” groups love to publicize “links.” The Washington Post recently revealed in an indignant article that a Trump Interior Department official had linked to an article at AmRen.com. American dissidents routinely use pen names, and “respectable” people keep their relations with them secret.

In some respects, an openly authoritarian government is better than our system. It’s clear who is in charge. Citizens know who rules them. It’s easier to remove a tyrant because you can always march on the palace or the party HQ. If you are ruled by a dictator, king, or party, you also know what the rules are; if you follow them, you can avoid trouble.

Our system is much more diffuse and therefore much harder to fight or even understand. Private companies, on a whim, can shut down your social media account, refuse to sell your books, make it impossible for your business to take credit cards, and close your bank account. You have no recourse, not even to the courts. Each company has its own inconsistent, arbitrary, ever-changing rules. Now, they all say, in effect, “We’ll kick you out if we don’t like you.” And that’s what they do.

If there were legal censorship, there would be laws that limited free speech. They might be vague and inconsistently enforced, but there would be rules. If the court system had any integrity, there could be litigation and legal appeals. In our system, every person you know is a potential commissar. If you become the subject of a “viral” story, literally millions of people can turn against you. This is “public shaming” worse than anything the Chinese face.

Their system is authoritarian, but it has this crucial difference from ours: It pushes people to behave correctly. In our Anglo-American tradition, personal virtue is the guarantor of our liberties, so we don’t need overarching government. However, we are no longer virtuous, at least not in the way the Founders understood virtue. Instead, anti-racism has become America’s moral code, and blacks are semi-sacred. Any social interaction with a non-white can be a life-changing disaster if it is caught on camera. The rules for what is politically correct change so quickly no one can be sure what to say to avoid trouble. We’re in an absurd system in which groups that enjoy government mandated “affirmative action” lecture us about our privilege. Although “racism” is the main sin our social credit system punishes there are others: “homophobia,” “Islamophobia,” “misogyny,” “xenophobia,” with more new ones invented all the time.

While the Chinese social credit system builds a better — if regimented — society, ours makes it worse. The media feed non-whites moral arguments to use against whites, whether they are about “racist” police, “systemic racism,” or “far-right extremists.” Anyone non-white, from educated elites to illiterate thugs, can feel justified in attacking middle-class whites because the only explanation for inequality is white racism.

Thus, our system doesn’t build “mutual trust” but suspicion and even hatred. Instead of building national unity, the American system undermines the foundation of patriotism by telling us our history and heroes were racist and evil. The Chinese system punishes destructive behavior and rewards charity. The American system winks at destructive behavior such as BLM rioting, and rewards “virtue signaling,” not real virtue.

White-owned business can be deplatfromed online and some can be ransacked by radicals, with no interference from the police. The right even to self-defense is under attack (ask Kyle Rittenhouse or Mark and Patricia McCloskey). In some areas, people cannot gather to demonstrate or even to worship, while antifa and BLM protesters can do almost anything with impunity.

Can we honestly say we have more freedom than the Chinese? Can we say that our government pursues our interests or protects our rights? Can we trust technology companies and major media? Are our elites pushing us towards greatness or towards dispossession and pariah status?

Still, we do have advantages. The great strength of the American Social Credit System is that it is ad hoc and unofficial. It’s hard to know exactly what or whom to attack but that’s also its weakness. There are “gaps” in the system we can exploit. At the same time, our rulers’ lust for power is clearer than ever. Donald Trump, however half-hearted and bumbling, forced our opponents to reveal their snarling hatreds and their breathtaking arrogance in believing they have the right to control what we read, hear, watch, and think.

We still have rights. American Renaissance sued the state of Tennessee, and won the right to use public facilities without paying for security. Others are suing tech companies. We are creating new ways of donating and accepting money, spreading our message, and building new platforms. These aren’t temporary workarounds, but steps towards community- and even nation-building. They are forcing us to do the things we should have been doing anyway.

What should a healthy society want? Perhaps every advanced society will have a formal or informal Social Credit System. Elites always try to control information, capital, and behavior. When we take control of our own destiny, we will promote strength, beauty, and virtue. We are a freedom-loving people, so I believe that if we slough off this current system, we can achieve these goals without repression.

Who rules the United States? I’d argue it’s media and Big Tech. They decide who can speak in the public square, raise money, do business online, or enjoy the full protection of law. They encourage victimhood instead of heroism, and distrust instead of unity. China’s system promotes positive values, exalts its people, and directs them towards positive ends.

It’s hard not to feel envious. The greatest threat to white Americans certainly isn’t Beijing. It’s those who presume to rule us, holding us captive, trapping us behind a blue screen.

  1. Much food for thought in this well argued article by Gregory Hood, which I found also profoundly depressing. Both societies, China and the US, are sick making dystopias, where freedom as we Boomers to know it, before Big Tech took over our lives, has become a thing of the past. China’s seems more like “Brave New World,” while for working class Whites in the US it’s more like “1984.”

Things will only get worse for the vast majority as we are forced to enter the Great Reset, lurching forward on the wings of the Corona Hoax, wearing demonic masks, and soon to be force injected by a rushed killer vaccine of unknown long-term effects.

What is left to look forward to? Our Masters have taken all of the joy out of life with these endless lockdowns. Biden, a hollow lifetime politician with a quickly shrinking brain, will only make things worse after Trump is gone. The only thing we have left is our Rebellion.

  2. OK. So you want to run the social credit system instead of them.

what bothers me about this otherwise very revealing article is that the nearly invisible 3rd party (the state of China or just “China”) is used to describe the system. But the article leaves no hint at who actually invented these control systems, what the objective of them actually is, nor does it clearly explain who is in charge of these control systems and there is little indication of whether or not the people who are subjected to this kind of regimentation are happy or unhappy about it.

In every nation state that I can read the literature in, the state turns out to be a few people less than .001% of the controlled and regulated society in which the state is blamed for all that the oligarchs imposed on those who are the governed of the state.

    thank you for the article.

  5. Excellent article.

Unlike Gregory Hood I find it easy not to feel envious towards the Chinese populous. In fact, bad as the situation is in the U.S. and the West in general, our position is immensely superior to theirs.

  10. Gregory Hood: “The Chinese system tries to build social trust. Ours destroys trust.”

Trying to build social trust by turning society into an Orwellian network of spies to me seems a project unlikely to succeed. The unintended consequences of such a system will be interesting to observe. For example, a large block of citizens with low social credit scores might cause unrest, even foment revolution. But perhaps the government will simply kill them. LOL! Their internal organs could be sold for many yuan!

Gregory Hood: “The Chinese system defends the interests of the Han, the ethnic group that built and sustains Chinese civilization. Our system hurts whites.”

The Chinese are encouraging race mixing by Han with Uighurs and Tibetans.

    https://www.theweek.in/news/world/2019/07/17/china-promoting-marriages-among-han-and-tibetans.html

In principle, this differs not at all from the USA promoting race mixing by whites with non-whites. All governments must try to promote unity among the citizenry, and that is why such institutions must be destroyed if distinct biological races are to survive.

Gregory Hood: “The Chinese system encourages charity, good citizenship, and patriotism. Ours incites hatred and spreads bitterness and division.”

Depends on how you define your terms, of course. Since at least the nineteenth century, when white Americans decided to make negroes equal citizens with themselves after fighting a bloody civil war over the question, there has been a tendency to define patriotism, good citizenship, and even charity in racial terms. In certain circles, and probably even by now amounting to a majority of Americans, a willingness of whites to engage in racially destructive behavior is lauded and considered praiseworthy. Amy Coney-Barrett’s adopted niglets were offered up as proof of her “conservative” bona fides; her commitment to American ideals. One could say the same of many other high-ranking politicians and celebrities with non-whites in their families.

The American dystopia is way worse than the Chinese dystopia. First of all, the government in China is still run by fellow Chinese people, the Chinese government is not actively working against its own people like the America one is. The Chinese government is also not as utterly corrupt as the US government is, and it does not have as many idiots in important positions as the Americans have.

When it comes to the every day things that are censored, the Americans censor many more things than what the Chinese do. I doubt that the Chinese have to fear for their lives being destroyed if they dare say anything about blacks, homosexuals, Muslims, jews, transgenders, etc. Even the “at least in America they can criticize their own government” argument is no longer valid, any criticism of any Democrat politician is now labelled as Russian disinformation and I am 100% certain that they will eventually pass hate speech laws and terror laws for white people that speak out against them.

Im not going to say that the author is wrong, his overall point is mostly correct; however I want to offer some food for thought. If white nationalists were able to actually take over the country (lets assume in some alternate timeline that trump wasnt actually just a puppet and legitimately fought for white interests) then what would the government look like? How would it behave? I predict that a white nationalist government would basically look like the inverse of our current society/government, by that I mean that there would still be lots of political repression and victimization but it would be directed towards the left wing instead of the right wing. The alt-right talks a big talk about “freedom” but if given the chance they wouldnt hesitate to pull out all the stops to deprive and punish their political enemies. They would defend their flavor of political repression of course by claiming that its a matter of existential importance (which is probably true) but it doesnt change the fact that they would still be hypocrites for doing it

What should a healthy society want? Perhaps every advanced society will have a formal or informal Social Credit System. Elites always try to control information, capital, and behavior. When we take control of our own destiny, we will promote strength, beauty, and virtue. We are a freedom-loving people, so I believe that if we slough off this current system, we can achieve these goals without repression.

im just bothered by the fact that the alt-right loves to uphold abstract notions like “freedom” as values and even use it as a cudgel to bash those they dislike (often china in these kinds of contexts) while being completely unaware of the fact that “freedom” can only exist when circumstances allow it to exist. Man is not innately free, this is an artificial concept. A noble one yes, but artificial nonetheless. Man is a slave to his environment, other men, his society, his government and even his own psychology for his entire life, to deny this is folly. To deny the fragility of “freedom” is folly. Freedom as the alt-right imagines it typically doesnt exist and if it does then its existence is fleeting. We’re currently moving into a period of time where technology and other converging trends actively work against the existence of this kind of freedom, trying to cultivate or preserve freedom during this period is tantamount to trying to build an igloo in the desert, or build a fire out in the rain. Its simply an incompatible goal, a fools errand if you will.

White nationalists would be better served by understanding the new reality of our society and trying to make it work for them instead of holding onto ideas that have been rendered obsolete. If you were a native american in the 18th century would you insist on continue fighting with bows and arrows? or would you get yourself a gun? My point is this, quibbling over freedom is a lost cause, any “free” society that white nationalists try to create will either be overcome by more powerful non-free societies or more likely it will be subverted over time by the utility, convenience and power that freedom eroding things (like technology) offer. I just wish white nationalists would abandon the haughty freedom talk and instead start thinking more in terms of real-politik; or rather to be more precise I wish they would just drop their pretenses about freedom and honestly admit that they’ve always prefered real-politik type thinking and could give a rats ass about the “freedom” of their political enemies

Probably the greatest irony of the 21st century will be that erstwhile white nationalists and “defenders of western civilization” will discover that their greatest friend and ally will end up being their ostensibly “unfree” and arbitrarily chosen enemy china. As the west crumbles there will probably be a not-insignificant amount of whites that will either try to immigrate to china or they will beg for some form of chinese governance that will grant them and their families a lawful and peaceful existence. Think this sounds bizarre? Non-sensical? If you think this way then seriously ask yourself on a rational level why you think it sounds bizarre. This is a logical outcome when you consider the intent and trajectory of the chinese civilization compared to what modern western civilization has become. At the end of the day when you’re at your wits end, powerless and metaphorically (or literally) hungry then ideology takes a hike and all that matters are results, and this will most likely be the fate of the west and specifically white nationalists in the future. A greater irony though will be that ultimately this will be a fate worse than death for white nationalists; while their race and culture will survive under the aegis of chinese power, their pride will die. I suppose it will be a pretty fitting end afterall, poetic justice and all that

  15. This wonderland called China sounds just ducky. An American SCS that’s what we need! I can’t wait for the 100ft.x 200ft. pictures of Chairman Biden on every corner. We know this works because you only have to look at todays young population of millennials, white men marching for BLM willing to literally get on their knees, to see what this looks like.

The living memory of free thought and info will slowly die off.

It will be worse than the USSR because there won’t be a printing press or an easy means of distribution of anti gov info.

It’s a way of gaining control of the masses of people, directing their every move and trying to shape their thinking. All to be in the hands of a tiny minority who will be the beneficiaries of the labor of those underneath them. Just a giant, modern plantation with means of control beyond the dreams of past slave owners. All for the good of society, of course, with many people cheering it on, thinking it’ll be a good thing. It’s too bad clown world hijacked the term “social credit.”

Now the term has bad connotations in people’s minds.

Douglas social credit theory was a way of paying labor its true value. Economic freedom is a pre-condition to individual sovereignty.

    https://www.socred.org/

Social Credit refers to the philosophical, economic, political, and historical ideas of the brilliant Anglo-Scottish engineer, Major Clifford Hugh Douglas (1879-1952).

As far as the sphere of economics is concerned, Douglas identified what is wrong with the industrial economy and also explained what needs to be done in order to fix it.

The core problem is that there is never enough money to buy what we produce. There is a gap between the prices of consumer goods and services and people’s incomes.

This gap is caused by many factors. Profits, including profits derived from interest payments, is only one of them. Savings and the re-investment of savings are two others. The most important cause, however, has to do with how real capital (i.e., machines and equipment) builds up costs at a faster rate than it distributes incomes to workers.

The finance sector (FIRE SECTOR) along with deep state MIC/Security complex and other fellow travelers (big media) has formed an oligarchy, which is the opposite of Douglas Social Credit.

  24. This is a decent article with a retarded conclusion. I have sources in China. Things are not going well, liberty-wise, as Peak Stupidity discussed in “Dashed high-hopes for China”Part 1 and Part 1.

Maybe the use of cash is not illegal right now, as per commenter TDSType2*, but when vendors are told to reject cash, they will do so. The CCP IS the rule of law in China. The Book of Revelations style phone payments are one thing, but the social credit and health credit (the latter not mentioned in this long article, BTW) are a also part of this wet dream for any Orwellian.

The Chinese will comply. They have plenty of dissenters but no history in their 3,500 year past of any ideas of small government. It’s all about “change the people in the government”, “get some not-so-corrupt officials”, and “we just need a better leader”, never “we don’t need this government AT ALL”. Chinese immigrants here are not keen on that Citizenship in the Nation merit badge and all that.

No doubt, American Big-Geek-Tech and the US Feral Gov’t are a menace when it comes to political correctness. However, there is still room for people to resist here, if they get off their asses and don’t continue their lazy habits on-line and off.

I am in the middle (page 157, to be exact) of Kai Strittmatter**’s book We Have Been Harmonized. I’d strongly suggest Greg Hood and the readers here read it too. It does go along with what Mr. Hood wrote about China here, but with more emphasis on the Chinese Communist Party, and a lot more of a gloomy attitude about what is happening to that country. As I read the book and think back on China’s terrible “Great Leap Forward” and then the Cultural Revolution, and then the state of America right now, only one word comes to mind:

    Guns.

Both nations are headed in the wrong direction. Mr. Hood thinks that because the Chinese government, which works directly for the CCP, cares about Chinese people over foreigners as opposed to the American Feral Gov’t (all true, no doubt) that they are headed in the right direction. Nope, they are headed to another State of Hell over there. The Conclusion of this article is simply retarded.

** The author is a pro-Kung-Flu-Panicker and has severe Trump Derangement Syndrome, BTW. That comes out only a little bit in the book though, so otherwise it’s a pretty readable and enlightening book. Peak Stupidity will come out with a review in due time.

In every nation state that I can read the literature in, the state turns out to be a few people less than .001% of the controlled and regulated society in which the state is blamed for all that the oligarchs imposed on those who are the governed of the state.

China is like that, and it’s a planned feature, not a hostile takeover bug.
The population of the country is 1.3 billion https://infogalactic.com/info/China
The communist party membership is 87 million https://infogalactic.com/info/Communist_Party_of_China

The vast majority of the population simply lead normal lives, and a very small elite participates in running this society, from city block or village level, to regional and national level. The average Chinaman is not expected to adhere to communist party values, simply generic citizenship values. But 87 million ARE expected to adhere to communist party values.

The current helmsman went through the whole cycle https://infogalactic.com/info/Xi_Jinping From working fields, to studying in uni, to participating in various political and economic programs, to managing a whole province, and then ascending to China itself. It was a serious filter.

As long as China’s “communist” elite can maintain:
    1) working social elevators within the country
    2) defense against external enemies
    3) law and order
    4) decent economic performance without the Soviet shortages and breadlines and Soviet dentistry
    5) periodic rotation of elites on all levels
    6) periodic real anti-corruption purges
    7) maintenance of serious filters for every level a party member rises to

…They can keep it going for another 3000 years. The “communism” was an instrument to manage to force China to reach a competitive level within the framework of the Industrial Revolution civilization, which the West discovered and thus forced the rest of the world to either adapt or be enslaved. Same like Stalin’s “communism” was a reaction to “comrades, we must achieve in 10 years what the imperialists achieved in a century, or we will be crushed”. The name “communism” remains, in China, but functionally now it’s more or less a technologically updated version of their managerial technocracy that has been around since the time of Ancient Egypt, only the new emperors are still called “chairmen” and being a chairman is not hereditary now.

Like many times during their long history, China’s system became too backwards to handle dynamic foreign barbarian forces, and it went into a crisis. A 150 years later the foreign influence has been absorbed and assimilated and the system has been restored, this time through the adapted use of a mechanism (“communism”) which Russia used to survive once the Tsarist system collapsed.

There will always be an elite that runs a society. The question is:

    1) does this elite function openly and visibly, or secretly and invisibly.
    2) do the goals and values of this elite keep it in a healthy symbiosis with the host society, or is this more of a parasitical and predatory elite.
    3) last but not least–does the elite accept its responsibility, or does it pretend, like in the west, that far from being “the system” it is in fact virtuously “fighting the system”, which is a sort of invisible meta-spiritual structure maintained, somehow, by working class and middle class provincials.

In the mid 2000` I had several websites, and there was certain individuals/ groups who used this way: to use terms and conditions and moderation guidelines against other members. In the beginning those site rules were generic so they was able.

You have no recourse, not even to the courts. Each company has its own inconsistent, arbitrary, ever-changing rules. Now, they all say, in effect, “We’ll kick you out if we don’t like you.” And that’s what they do.”

So whoever says law and order must rule, or when get an offense think about police, lawyer, etc… patronate the enemy.
Dreams are just dreams, to wake up first need to realize in this system:
    – Nobody will protect you
    – Nobody will honestly represent you
    – If you use official chanels (determined by enemies) you will be shamed, ransacked
    – To do anyhing in safety is a dream: who fights always triumph over the ones who try to avoid fight
    – If you keep/ obey their laws and rules they will win, after all those rules made for that purpose

“Can we say that our government pursues our interests or protects our rights?”
The ruling ones always after their (and their cronies) agenda/ interest.
Rights are non-existent ink on paper, nothing which granted have worth, and can dissolve in any minute because granted by others.
Power and will grants real rights. Events when many stand up for/ against something willing to fight and die for it.

Off course those individuals and groups who promote law and order, peaceful assembly, believe the protection of authorities and legal system can rewrite history and doom the founding fathers as criminals, just like your war of independence because they were against the actual law and order, did not obey legalization which did not serve them, done illegal assemblies, and take up arms against the system and for years do illegal war against the “legal” rulers and their allies.

It is impossible to maintain a herd of brainwashed people without a strong religion people are ready to die to be saved by. In reality in China Maoism is a religion without a God as ultimate explanation (like all Chinese religions by the way) but with a salvation process. If you don’t have one, your society crumbles into smaller and smaller parts. Bolshevism could succeed because the orthodox church of Russia had excluded all too sincere believers for generations : it was actually the return of the great Mother Russia faith starting with Judaism rather than with Jesus. White anglo-saxon America was always remarkably herd-like, uniform, and intolerant towards free thinkers, that is a remark all voyagers made when visiting the country from Tocqueville onwards : you had to hide and meet with others in private not to be lynched and that was possible only with money if you were a free thinker. Less rich people like Hemingway or Erza Pound often fled for other countries, even authoritarian ones. Actually cancel culture is much more traditional grassroot american than you think, it is evangelical-pentcoastal culture transposed into more secular swaths of society and therefore bound to go back to puritanical religion as soon as they need to convince people to die for their cause. BLM has no real popularity even among Blacks as you actually have to be LGBTQ (being White is pardoned if your gay militancy is good) first to have a say in the movement. Antifa and SJW are White-only racist (White skin is not enough of course but is actually a prerequisite privided this whiteness is that of some high caste despising the darker great unwashed) like Trumpians never were, with nasty racist ideas imported from Indian religions.

Worth noting that the ‘five races, one people’ mantra has been invoked since the Beiyang Republic days. This is of course because the PLA higher ups are often some variety of Manchu, Mongol, or Guizhou ethnic minority — so WNs assertion that China is an “ethnostate” is silly. The state administration is Han, but they have the functional equivalent of the US military being run and staffed by Latinos.

The country defends its people from international molestation more vigorously than the West because the ‘mandate’ of the government since 1949 necessitates that in the same way that the American 2a ‘mandates’ —I.e. legitimizes firearm ownership.

As a postscript — one of the “five races” of the Beiyang constitution is in fact white people.

Most importantly people like you make excuses and think all of this is ok as long as its for the “other team” Newsflash you will never be in their club.

The principles may be the same, but the implementation by the Chinese is quite clearly advantageous to the Han group (hence the government is looking out for Han interests) as it will be the troublesome minorities that are genetically and more importantly culturally annihilated (mostly peacefully) and not the Han.

You cannot possible be so foolish as to think the Han group can he destroyed via racemixing with a population less than 1/50th it’s size and fairly similar genetically? If 1.3bn Whites were to race mix over the course of many generations with 20mn Blacks, the Blacks would be totally destroyed while the Whites would remain the same, and this is race mixing between very different populations.

After all, Jews were a very small part of the German population in Hitler’s time (<1%), and while Jews are "fairly similar" genetically, yet the Nazis felt the Nuremburg laws were necessary to preserve their racial purity.

  89. I recently suggested so a black activist that she would do well to think of phrases such as “white supremacy,” “white privilege,” and assertions that only whites can be racist as “micro-aggressions” against the many whites who are victims rather than beneficiaries of the power structure and who have quietly struggled against racism all their lives. As a person who has been deeply involved with blacks most of my adult life and am aware of their deep hurt and anger, I am able to reject such rhetoric without anger or offense, but many other white people are not so nuanced. People who genuinely want to eliminate all forms of oppression, rather than create divisions to divert attention from and avoid eliminating those systems of oppression, would do well to reconsider their self-defeating rhetoric.

When whites hear such terminology, or that all whites are inherently racist or beneficiaries of racism, we must calmly explain that we have just been attacked for an accident of birth, that we are choosing not to react in anger but in understanding, but that such rhetoric is divisive and therefore self-destructive. My ancestors did not benefit from the slave trade, though most did benefit from the dispossession of Native Americans. Native Americans are still struggling for treaty rights and recognition, but I don’t commonly hear them judging individuals merely for the color of their skin.

China is poised to become the world’s leading superpower, and the Chinese aren’t staring possible ethnic extinction in the face either, so I don’t see how ‘our position is immensely superior to theirs’.

Well, I guess if you’re an American and ‘muh freedom and liberty’ then maybe I can understand why you think like that, but you’re still wrong.

  93. Social Credit system sucks anywhere, but it is of course worse in the US than in China. Not because it’s more stringent in the US but because of its coding and character. China is ruled by a national(ist) government; therefore, the social controls are meant to boost national security and patriotism. In contrast, the US is ruled by Jewish globalist supremacists; therefore, social controls are meant to shame the white majority into cucking to Jewish Supremacist Power. Even though the Communist Party has a bloody history in China(especially under Mao), the silver lining was a political system was put into place that was entirely independent of foreign interference. For all its epic failures, the founding principles of CCP were idealism and nationalism.

Tyranny isn’t good, but tyranny in service of patriotism is still better than tyranny in service of treason. As the US is ruled by Jewish globalists, it is now increasingly resorting to tyrannical social controls to make whites commit mass treason against their own race. (White elites go along with Jewish Power out of craven opportunism and/or ‘spiritual’ possession, the result of PC education. Not only do they expect big carrots by obeying their Jewish masters but have been conditioned from cradle to believe the greatest evil is ‘racism’ and ‘white supremacism’. Therefore, if White Guilt, White Demise, and White Nakba are necessary to defeat ‘racism’, so be it. Besides, what does it matter when they, as white elites, get the carrots than the sticks in the game of Defame-Whitey? For most whites, ‘spiritual’ possession by Jews leads to dispossession of white power, land, and wealth. Jewish Message to whites is “Whites must keep paying and paying to right whatever wrongs invoked by Jews, blacks, and their allies.” White soul-debt for ‘white guilt’ means permanent payouts to Jews, blacks, and etc. Thus, all of the white race has been ‘Germanized’ as, of course, Germany must pay the Jews forever and ever and ever for what are now called ‘epigenetic’ reasons.)

This is why democracy devoid of nationalism is bound to fail. A national democracy, such as the one in Israel, is relatively strong and stable. In Israel, both the ‘right’ and ‘left’ are patriotic and committed to Jewish Power. Such might be called a ‘fascist democracy’. Even though people have the freedom to vote, their minds are united in ethno-patriotism. The true worth of democracy is measured by how well it serves a nation and people. Democracy is supposed to serve the people than the other way around. If democracy serves to defend a nation and its people, it has worth. If it subverts a nation and people, it has failed(no matter how democratic it may be in terms of liberal principles); if Israeli democracy were to abandon its nationalist content in favor of pure liberal principles and bring about the demise of Israel as a Jewish state, it would be a failed democracy as it failed to protect a nation and people. When nation serves democracy than the other way around, the assumption is the nation must favor abstract principles over tangible realities EVEN IF they cause grave harm to the nation. (Such mindset governs mainstream conservatism of the National Review crowd. They don’t care if White America is lost as long as the future is about ‘muh liberty’. Never mind that a non-white majority America means goodbye to the US Constitution as most non-whites don’t care for Free Speech and Gun Rights. And, how amusing that these die-hard adherents to Universal Principles are so supportive of Jewish Nationalism and even Jewish Supremacism in Israel and around the world.) Jews understand this, which is why Israel puts Jewish-Nation-hood above abstract principles of democracy. Democracy there is coded to serve and defend Israel as a Jewish State. And why are Jews chipping away at the US Constitution? Because the First Amendment allows open criticism of any power. Therefore, Jews seek to change the Constitution with ‘hate speech’ laws whereby they get to label and ban any speech they don’t like as ‘hate’. Of course, they mean to target speech critical of Jewish Supremacist Power and Israel. Jews support principles only to the extent of self-interest.

In contrast, a liberal democracy de-emphasizes and even disparages any notion of national unity based on blood-and-soil, race, ethnicity, culture, and/or history. Thus, it’s primarily about the personal liberties of individuals. But individuals as dispersed members of society don’t amount to much. It’s like there can be no sun if particles of matter don’t come together to form a mass. Liberal democracy, in weakening ethno-nationalism, makes it less likely for the ethno-majority to unite as a real force. They are too busy being individuals. Such dispersal of power without a concentrated core is easy to penetrate and manipulate. It’s like an army is useless if soldiers are spread out as individuals and not working as combined force.
This is why Jews and globalists promote ‘liberal democracy’ all over the world. It is to deny other nations a concentrated core of mass consciousness that allows for the preservation of national sovereignty and political unity. When a nation adopts the formula of ‘liberal democracy’, it means the leaders no longer invoke blood-and-soil themes to inspire and unite the people. They just talk about ‘muh liberty’ and ‘muh money’. It becomes a game of everyone for himself(or herself). Then, the globalists can easily buy off the elites who operate merely as deracinated and rootless individuals. Easier to buy off opportunistic individuals than genuine leaders of nations. And under liberal democracy, everything becomes privatized and globalized, and that means Jewish/American/global money can buy up all the media and spread Afromania, Globo-Homo, and DIOS(or diversity-is-our-strength, with ‘our’ being mostly Jewish).

The ideal bulwark against globalist hegemony and Jewish supremacism is a National Democracy or Fascist Democracy. The problem for many nations is it takes time for democracy to develop and come into fruition. Furthermore, if Europe provides any lesson, even nations with deep history of democracy can be taken over by Jewish Globalists, as attested by UK and France.
For many newly minted democracies, the institutions are weak, and that means lots of corruption, as in Russia of the 1990s. Under such circumstances, it is easy for Jewish supremacists and globalists to take over the system. It happened in Ukraine recently. Ukraine is now praised as a ‘liberal democracy’, and it has globo-homo parades(as tell-tale sign of Jewish domination). But there is no national unity, no national security. Everything is up for sale to the Jews.

In that sense, the autocratic systems in China and Russia(and Iran) are preferable. Not because they are ideal but because they serve as more effective barriers and bulwarks against the hegemonic ambitions of the Lone Superpower, the US that is under Jewish Supremacist Control that seeks to undermine every nationalism EXCEPT that of Israel.

All patriotic White Americans must wake up to the fact that a country run by plutocrats will lead to certain demise for the historical-racial majority. In the past, the US was a de facto national and racial democracy, and that meant white elites cared for the white masses; there was a concentrated core of white unity and Christian power. But as the US turned into a liberal democracy, white power became dispersed and spread out into tiny individual units. Jews pushed for this, all the while tightly concentrating their own power, influence, and authority. Concentrated power will always beat dispersed power. Why do lions feed on wildebeests? If wildebeests all united and fought as one, they could wipe out the lions. But when lions appear, wildebeests disperse and run off in multiple directions. So, a handful of lions ALWAYS kill and devour the wildebeests that number in the hundreds. No wonder then that Jewish Power has been devouring whites. Jews combine into one whereas whites disperse into many directions. Five fingers that combine into a fist will defeat a thousand fingers that function individually.
Rich Jews are concentrated into Jewish Power. Rich whites are dispersed when it comes to white power. If white oligarchs do come together, it is to serve the Jews but NEVER to do anything good for the white race.

This is why Putin and Xi are relatively good guys in the current world. Their political controls limit the power of capitalists, most of whom are soulless materialists and craven status-anxious opportunists. Capitalists remain patriotic only if the Order demands nationalism. Jewish capitalists are tribal-nationalist about Jewishness because the Jewish Community demands it. Also, as Jews control the media and elite institutions, they coded things so that it is perfectly okay, even noble, for them to be proud of Jewishness and serve Jewish interests. In contrast, the coding says that even a sentiment such as “It’s Okay to be White” is totally unacceptable and worthy of investigation by the FBI.

So, all those American patriots and ‘rightists’ who denounce Vladimir Putin as autocrat or Xi Jinping as dictator should really re-examine their own situation. They would be better off if they had an American Putin or a White Xi. If there is no national democracy to protect your people, it’s better to have a strongman or even a ‘tyrant’ than what goes by ‘liberal democracy’ that almost inevitably leads to lack of unity and then demise of race and nation.
Indeed, if Trump were a true patriot and had the power of Xi or Putin, the US would be in a much better situation. Instead, US is ruled by Jewish-globalist oligarchs who use the likes of Jack Dorsey and Jeff Bezos as their tools. The coding says Jews are holy for being Jewish whereas whites are unholy for being white. Thus, even the richest white person can be justified only by serving the holy, such as Jews, blacks, and homos, the three groups that have permanent membership in the Sacred Council — other groups must take turns in the council, usually on the basis of “Is it good for Jews?”

This would be less of a problem if most democracies were nationally organized and ordered. But as things stand in a world of the Lone Superpower, to have a democracy means your nation/domain is more exposed to foreign interference by globalists, people like George Soros and Paul Singer. While some rich foreigners just want to do business with your nation/domain, others(especially the supremacist Jews) seek not only financial access but ‘spiritual’ control with stuff like globo-homo, which is meant to serve as proxy-worship-and-obedience to Jewish Power. If Russians and Chinese merely want to do business with your nation, Jewish Power wants to spread its globo-homo and Holocaustianity tentacles into your domain so as to morally and ‘spiritually’ manipulate you. And if your people say NO, as Russia did with Globo-Homo, Jewish Power throws fits and pulls all sorts of dirty tricks. When Jews extol ‘liberal democracy’, they are really telling your nation to undress and put out. Spread the legs for the Jewish Supremacist Portnoic lust and bend over to take it up the arse from globo-homo. Globalism is really the Jewish pornographics of power. Jewish Power as the pimp and goy nations as the prostitutes.

Naturally, a sound nation will push back against such foreign infiltration and meddling. It needs concentration of power in a nationalist context that may have to clamp down on certain liberties that invite infection and takeover by globalist power. It’s like Soros operations are banned in some parts of the world. But then, globalist Jews denounce such a nation as ‘anti-democratic’. Of course, Jewish Power never mentions that it’s their infiltration and corruption of other nations’ political processes that necessitates more autocratic measures. Imagine a drug pusher and a parent & child. As the pusher tries to sell drugs to the child, the parent needs to be tougher and restrict his child’s freedom to do as he pleases(like indulging in drugs). But then, the pusher accuses the parent of tyrannical control over the child and calls on the child to rebel and seek ‘liberation’. The pusher never mentions the fact that the parent must be tough to protect his child from none other than the pusher. If some goy nation sought to infiltrate Israel and turn Jewish kids into druggies and whores, of course, the fascist-democracy of Israel would take tough measures to stop such. But when Jews seek to corrupt other nations, they better spread their legs wide open to the Zionic thrust. Such total hypocrisy.

For a national-democracy or fascist-democracy to succeed, its core constitution must prioritize racial-cultural-territorial integrity above all else. Freedoms are fine AS LONG AS they don’t violate or undermine the right of the nation to survive and maintain its integrity. Furthermore, it must severely limit foreign ownership, and its elites must be educated within the domain. If the elites are trained in places like Harvard, they are likely to be shills of the Glob. And it must emphasize themes over leaders. The problem with Italian Fascism and National Socialism was they were essentially premised on Cult of Personality and whims of the Great Leader. The danger of dictatorship. The rule must be Dictatorship of Themes, not of Personalities. This way, no matter who is in power, he must rule in accordance to the National Theme, a particular than a universal principle. The future of Russia and China will be determined by the National Themes inherent in their Constitution. Without the dictatorship of such themes, the whole system may change with new leadership.

  95. China is notorious for a “Social Credit System” that controls the lives of citizens, rewarding what the authorities want and punishing what they don’t.

China is notorious for many non-existent things like massacres and dystopian social credit systems.

After a dozen years of local trials, China may implement a social credit system next year and, if it does, it will be popular with 90% of Chinese. (Ask your expat Chinese friends if you doubt this) and will have the following features:

    1. It’s like the ‘reviews’ we give friends (behind their backs?) constantly updated in the same ways. Essentially an Amazon Review of everyone by everyone they’ve ever dealt with.

    2. It’s truly universal. There’s no privileged, hidden operator that’s spared, and no-one pulling the strings. Government departments, officials, cops, corporations, Supreme Court justices, Congresspeople–everyone gets social credit if they want it (participation is voluntary). Doesn’t this sound better than our system, where private corporations rate us and sell the information to other private corporations and government agencies without our permission and with limited access–but offer no reciprocity? 3. It’s a popular initiative as much as a government initiative: the Chinese are the most trusting people on earth and they’re tired of being scammed online for billions each year.

    4. It’s 90% carrot and 10% stick: the higher your score the easier your life becomes. Japan and the Netherlands, for example, offer expedited visa processing for Chinese travelers with scores above 750. Landlords waive deposits if you’re over 800. If you’re convicted of a financial crime your penalty is–wait for it–being blocked from using online payments and having to pay for everything with cash. The horror!

    5. It’s part of China’s 2,000-year-old plan to create a datong society in which everybody is taken care of and nobody needs to lock their doors at night–a goal that every Chinese supports and which the government hopes to start delivering in 2049.

Blacks were allowed to vote long before 1965. Free blacks were allowed to vote in free states right after the American revolution. The 15th Amendment gave all black males the right to vote in 1870. A handful of states in the South had restrictions to voting, like owning property or being able to read and write, hardly onerous. You have been lied to about the history of race in the United States.

The 1990s show Seinfeld and the 00’s show The Office are 2 of the funniest shows I’ve ever seen. I haven’t had a TV in operation (for TV signals, that is) in 22 years, and got The Office DVDs ripped/burned. So, I can’t speak for any recent stuff, but with the PC in almost everything, I would not be hopeful. You obviously have not watched these two or have no sense of humor whatsoever. If it’s the former that’s the problem, I suggest that rather than listening to your Eurotrash reviewers, you pull the shows up from somewhere.

I’ll admit that both of these shows take about 4 or 5 episodes to really get used to the characters, and The Office has many characters.

Mark my words, Dr., if you give each show a few watches you’ll change your tune on this.

This social credit system is designed to put the slaves in their place. It is the ultimate carrot and stick. When the escapee is unable to even purchase food, they will come to lead him back to the workshop or the prison.

Reminds me of the system used by Bolshies in the USSR. I do not remember the details, but it involved carrying some card which was needed to do anything. If it got yanked, you were shidouttaluck. One could be late for work by a few minutes and you were at risk of losing it and your job.

  100. Interesting the way you tiptoe all around the elephant in the room with the big nose.

The Chinese are ruled by Chinese…while we are ruled by organized Jewry.

The Chinese ruling class probably has some genuine concern for their nation, where our tribal overlords actively loath our nation and our people, while putting their own interests first.

So you can’t really compare the two situations as they are nearly opposite in reality.

Behavior modification could be used for the betterment of humanity but not if the managers are paranoid psychopaths.

  101. Fairly accurate but one major issue you get wrong. Minorities in China get WAY MORE beneficial policies than minorities in the US. It’s not even close. If you have a problem with “affirmative action” – that’s crumbs compared to the overall societal benefits ethnic minorities in China.
The idea for instance that Tibetans and Uighurs and even Mongols is nonsense. Minorities never had quotas on how many children they could have. Even more comical is that the Mongolian script is preserved in China – while in the country Mongolia they don’t even use their native script.
Apart from that though – it’s pretty accurate. But it comes down to culture. It has nothing to do with “communism” in China. This is just a digitized form of Chinese culture for centuries. In fact the CPC is trying to catch back up to old ethics that were thrown away during the Cultural Revolution.

  102. @Dr. Robert Morgan

That is what happens when people don’t know history. Marriage between Tibetans and Han has been going on for over a millennia.

I just read up on Gab.com on wiki. Andrew Torba is a brave soul, God bless him. His co-founder and COO both quit in 2018 after being doxxed and harassed by the media, but he’s still at it. Trump started posting on that network. This media blackout about voting fraud is insane. You know the fraud allegations are true when they are panicking like this.

NewsMax TV is still up and running and constantly having guests on to talk about the fraud and the state of the recount. But even they have to pay homage to the Zionist filth by airing a segment on Nazis and “Hunting Hitler” on Saturday night. Simply nauseating. Perhaps the only reason they are allowed to operate is because it is owned by Chris Ruddy, possibly a Jew as he went to Hebrew University of Jerusalem for his undergrad, similar to why UR is still running.

This is all making me so angry I want a large scale, all out protests in every city against this kind of media censorship and blackout on voting fraud. The right needs a revolution. 110. China’s social credit system doesn’t surprise me in the least. Eastern morality is shame based (collectivist) whereas western morality is guilt based (individualist). Shame based moral systems encode moral principles into customs and rituals to ensure compliance with protocols via social surveilance. The social credit system is merely an extension (or perhaps the logical conclusion) of a shame based moral system adjusted for maximum efficiency via centralization.

This system would be terrible for the west since the western moral system (guilt based) is founded upon personal virtue, ie to do the right thing even when nobody is looking. Hood is right when he says that such a system would completely destroy trust in western societies.

I dont know of any Chinese, East Indian, Malaysian, Philipino, Vietnamese, Burmese, Congolese, Senegalese, Maltese or SHowmetheRealeeeeeze restaurants with problems staying open because they have a problems with labour. Chinatowns and all other ethnic Asian shops and areas are busy busy busy all crewed by family members and employees who cannot speak English and thus do not have employment options in the mainstream.

You would be surprised at how many are illegal and working to pay off a smuggling gang for transportation to this US of A.

When you say they immigrate here to pay less taxes, you need to consider:

-How much are the taxes on a $2400 /annual wage in Asia ?
-How much are the taxes on a minimum wage of say $20,000 in the US ? Plus gas tax, property tax, sales tax, heating tax, electricity tax, this tax and that tax, this fee and that fee etc ?

In Asia, it is easy to work and not declare the income. They bring this practice to the US as well. Accomodation in Asia is next to nothing. What you can get for $400 a month in say Mainland China is $3000 + in most US Cities for a 300 sq foot apartment in a half decent area.

So if they are coming here to save on the “taxes” they are going to be fucked well and good with the cost of living.,

SOME may buy houses cash but if you as a westerner ever go to buy a house from a Chinese vendor you better ask the RE Agent to ensure everyone is out the house. Why ? Because like a friend of mine you might find Granpa Fung Kee Fung fast asleep in his “bedroom”, formerly the walk in closet. Several families may get together to buy a house but ask “Ah how did you guys get the cash”?

Many times 4-5 families live in one house !

Most Chinese families have the big mortgage, the big car payment, the credit card debt, the school children education debt, this debt and that debt and work 16 hour days to keep their head above water.

No they dont come here to pay less taxes. They come here because their touted utopia system of government is shit. Even the very wealthy have second passports and fight to get their kids born here for the same reason. You would also be amazed at the immigration fraud perpetrated in the US, Canada and other Western Nations.

How many Americans send their wives to China to deliver a child ? How many ? How many Americans fight for a Chinese (or Asian) passport ….just in case ? How many ?

The Hart-Celler act was worthy of burning down the halls of congress.. We are now witnessing the direct result of their inaction. They sat idly by while the national guard forced schools to accept low IQ subhuman ingrates. The soldiers returning from Vietnam were spat upon, fresh from a war that the government saw to it that we lost, should have taken up arms. Nixon got forced out of office over nonsense, Regan signed the amnesty bill. I grew up watching the results of these policies take effect in real time, not able to do anything about it. My own parents sent me to a majority black school, Jesus Christ, they are incompatible with society. I saw affirmative action take place, still no revolt. Then to my disbelive they overwhelming voted for the magical negro. It may have not been all of you, but it is a larger percentage than you are willing to admit. If you actually took time to comprehend either of the two comments, you might, with lots of effort, understand that they in no way contradict each other. I don’t have many good things to say about modern Crony Capitalist America, and the woke bullshit that is swiftly becoming our Cultural Revolution 2.0 (1.0 being the Chinese version of ’66 to ’76). I have been an ~20 year VDare reader, so my thoughts on the immigration invasion go along with what Mr. #287 wrote in his comment above.

I had high hopes for China about 15 years back when I first saw the place. You can read about my thoughts on these dashed hopes that involved the Orwellian shit that has curtailed the budding freedom in China, in those posts I linked to above. However, Peak Stupidity has loads more posts on China and plenty on the US Feral Government for a comparison.

Both countries are headed in the wrong direction, but the timeline is different. America has been headed the wrong way for 55 years, arguably more if you’re talking money (the FED was formed 107 years back, but lets start from the Socialism and Civil Rites in 1965). I’d say China has been headed the wrong way for only a decade. The book that I mentioned above, We Will Be Harmonized would pin it down at the time the current dear leader Xi Jinping decided to become Mao 2.0 (Chairman Mao with more and better stir-fry dishes!)

If English is not your first language, then I understand why you have this comprehension problem. If that’s not the case, perhaps you are simply retarded, kind of like Mr. Hood’s conclusion here (right in the post’s title).

«Most people in China already use mobile apps for transactions, not cash. A full record of transactions, combined with AI, means tremendous government power to track individual behavior and modify social credit scores.»

Nothing new there, a former UK government official reported in a book:

In all the controversy in June 2013 over the US security services accessing people’s social media interactions through the PRISM system, it’s often forgotten that they had since 9/11 been accessing details of most of our financial transactions through the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication system (SWIFT). [ … ] But it also raised uncomfortable issues around America’s potential access to the private finances and spending records of prominent politicians and businesspeople around the world. All that made this a difficult secret for Gordon and the Treasury to be sitting on, even more so when Mervyn King, the Bank of England Governor, was informed. [ … ] At that precise moment, Mervyn’s conscience told him that he had a duty to blow the gaff on the SWIFT deal, and tell the British people that the CIA had — with the Treasury’s connivance — been secretly accessing that financial data.

As that guys said already in 1999 “‘You have zero privacy anyway. Get over it! ‘”.

  129. Blissex says:

«The American system encourages banks to lend to non-whites with doubtful credit.»

That is a common hallucination: for example in 2008-2010 black borrowers had both much smaller loans than the average and rather higher repayment rates than the average.

In 2008-2010 middle class white who wanted to make a killing on booming McMansion prices were way over-represented among those who had taken “liar loans” and borrowed as much as they could and defaulted, greedy middle class whites were way over-represented among those who faked fraudulent documentation and accounting to sell more loans and derivatives, and Obama failed to investigate and prosecute them.

This is how “Contract On America” Newt Gingrich (the single guy probably most responsible for screwing the “deplorables”) described the middle class majority in the USA:

If you have a society where almost every middle class person routinely fudges the law, that’s telling us something. We have laws that matter – murder, rape, and we have laws that don’t matter. Speed limits are an example. Why would you think that a regulatory, process-oriented bureaucratic model would work?
The first thing that every good American says each morning is “What’s the angle?” “How can I get around it?” “What does my lawyer think?” “There must be a loophole!” Then he proceeds to work the angle, and the bureaucracy spends its time chasing that and writing new regs to stop him. America is the most incentive-driven society on the planet.

You know Hong Kong was a shitty little fishing port with a few grass thatched shacks until the British took it over. Now, after handing it back to the Chinese it looks like it is headed back to slum status. Every slanty eyes with a few dollars is fleeing the place.

A friend of mine told me that travelling through China one often meet people selling dog on the road side or scavenging road kill for sale or consumption. In one instance, disembarking on a boat trip (the area had bad roads) there was a big fight among the locals to carry his baggage etc. He told me he paid them $1 for each piece of baggage and they just about kissed his ass for the money.

China, really, has a bit of coin because one, we moved our manufacturing there because they are all slaves and crumb snatchers and two, we buy their 0.05c shit for $1.25. This is all they have progressed in 4000 years. And they try to convince us they are a clever race. The day this process is reversed is the day they go back to driving in rickshaws and eating their daily ration of a spoon of rice and a fish head from a dried gourd with their fingers.

We got a few of them here on UR (Biff and D Dan and another dub named Godfree Roberts). Notice the English names what with them being ashamed of their heritage. Another is “Chinaman”. God alone knows what gibberish his real name is.

As for “lorries” when the final showdown comes and we say “all gooks on the fucking lorries” their ass is loading up for the segregation camps in the Arizona desert that is if we have not deported the lot back to their miserable little country before then.

As for SHowmethereal, forget about him. He is a Chinese dunce from the get go. The best thing that ever happened to him is we taught him English. He is a nothing !

Seems like you took your handle from Inglorious Basterds and Col Landa.

I bet you never met a Jew and if you did would not have the balls to confront them as you do here on UR. You seem to have an obsession with hook noses, kosher agendas and white golem.

Here is a suggestion to you. Stop hiding behind your key board and the next time you see a bunch of hook noses go and confront them. Tell me how that goes for you. After you come out of your coma you can do the same to any Arab, Negro or Arab Negro you meet. Take Biff, D Dan and Godfree Roberts with you LOL

You are missing an important point in the chinese “Social Credit System”: Millions of people are moving from the countryside, into the cities. Many of them come from underdeveloped regions, so they lack skills necessary in a “modern” world, plus they are removed from their (real-life) social networks. This could create a mass of non-integrated anti-socials in the suburbs. The SCS forces them to become “well-behaved”, productive citizens.

… one must show one’s ID card when buying a cell phone, and the # of phones is limited.

Like so much of the rubbish you regale us with, you’re off the mark with this one.

About 2 wks ago I bought a new phone at a China Mobile store, cash ‘n carry. No passport, no ID of any sort (though they did ask my name for the invoice). No shortage of phones either, I had my choice of a bizillion models, all in stock. I could’ve walked out with 100 of them. If I went to one of the private distributors selling off-brand phones, I could’ve walked out with 1,000. Limited? Bollocks.

As just about everywhere, you do need ID to get a SIM card in China (though “black” cards are available, even on TaoBao), but you can buy as many phones as you like.

If peak stupidity isn’t fundamental to what your “sources” tell you about China, repeating their rubbish surely is.

  162. Trickster says:
    @Erebus

I think there are mitigating circumstances to what you assert.

I was not there when you bought your cell phone IN CHINA but I can assure you that if you got away without producing ID that was an anomaly. Sometimes we get away with things (not having all documentation or incomplete/ inaccurate documentation) but most times this is a one time occurrence.

That said, the cell phone is just a tool. It is a hunk of useless plastic without the SIM. As you yourself asserted when you got your SIM card you had to produce ID. Therefore THAT phone is now hooked to your SIM and since you produced ID for the SIM that ID is now attached to the phone itself.

Your name on the invoice for the phone purchase is further tie in to ownership of the phone AND cross referenced to the SIM.

You may have gotten away without producing ID when as you assert you purchased the phone in China. However, friends of mine who travel to China to purchase for their stores in Florida told me they were required to produce ID and ALL OTHER CHINESE RESIDENTS lining up to buy phones had to produce the national ID to buy the phone itself.

China recognizes people travelling in and out of the country will be bringing in phones purchased outside the country. They get you however through the SIM card and use of the circuits in China.

Lets be frank and not fool ourselves. China is a communist country and a surveillance state and that means massive control of the population in every sense. Any Chinaman will tell you that if he farts in Gary Indiana, the Chinese security police are aware of this occurrence.

I understand that even in the West, people using Huawei phones regularly get requests from Huawei asking for access to their contacts. That should be food for thought for all.

Nevertheless, if you listen to the Chinese lovers and paid trolls here on Unz you would believe the place is a Utopia.

He is every reason why euthanasia should be brought back and retroactive abortion given serious consideration.

Anyway, to serious business ! All this talk about China this and that is sheer rubbish. Some thoughts:

=In 1950, Japan, just recovering from atomic bombs and the war was richer than China
=In 1950 the illiteracy rate in China was 80%
=In only 1978 the improving Chinese economy started to raise 400M people out of EXTREME poverty. That is like the entire population of the US.
=China is a confused country, steeped in Communism but using the capitalist system to lift itself up.
=Is a huge exporter but this hinges on it being a huge importer. Without a huge import base which they need, and oil which they must have, the country would revert back to peasant status
=Imports to GDP are as follows: China 17%, Japan 18% and the US 15%. I leave it to the reader to interpret these stats considering China has billions of people (that is with a B) compared to the US and Japan
=GDP is USA $20 trillion, China $13 trillion and Japan $5 trillion. Again, I leave it to the reader to ponder these stats.
=Average annual per capita salaries are China $10K, Japan $40K and US $56K rounded and in US $
=Average house hold income China $10K USA $84K all in US dollars

China is a huge country but poor, with billions of people living on the fringe. The majority of their investments is in US bonds. That means we have their money and they have our paper. What are they going to do if we default? Take us to court? We got them by the balls militarily, economically, in terms of raw material and financially.

Things are bad in China such that people are fleeing to live illegally in the West, the rich are moving their assets out, the rich are sending their females to give birth in the west just in case and Hong Kong is on the verge of shit hole status.

The China flunkies and puppet dummies on this site must have lost their noodles no pun intended.

Come on, Erebus, you’re better than this. You know that he SIM card IS the phone, as far as The State is concerned. Who cares how many actual physical phones you get. They need a SIM card to work. You’ve gotta know that, right? It’s the SIM cards that are used to control things, and YES, you need that national ID card to get one, and there are limits.

When we were there last, we borrowed one for use when our phones didn’t work, but it was a hassle, due to the limits they’ve set up, i.e, we were imposing a lot by doing this.

Sure, Erebus, I can pick up 25 laptop computers and get on the internet with every one of them, but if the IP number they all use is known*, then there is no privacy.

OK, I meant an actual working phone, as in with the SIM card, or simply the card itself for an existing phone. You just made made my point though, so I appreciate that, Erebus.

    .

    * This is not to mention the other ways of distinguishing computer fingerprints, whether it’s the MAC address or the different browser/plug-in versions that make a pretty unique signature.

… I can assure you that if you got away without producing ID that was an anomaly.

You’re full of shit. This purchase was not an anomaly. I’ve done it at least a half dozen times over the last decade, and I’m not a “traveller”.

As you yourself asserted when you got your SIM card you had to produce ID.

I asserted no such thing. Read it again.

When I travel, which in pre-COVID days was a lot, every country I’ve visited required my passport to buy a local pay-as-you-go SIM. Every last one. China instituted that recently as well, but there’s nothing extraordinary about that. As for your Florida friends, they’re either full of shit, or they’re buying at the border. No way the store cares who buys phones. A friend of mine sells literally 10,000s of phones/year and doesn’t give a shit who buys them.

Your name on the invoice for the phone purchase is further tie in to ownership of the phone AND cross referenced to the SIM.

I could have given my name as Donald Duck, and they would’ve written that down. The invoice is for warranty purposes, and I didn’t have to produce a damn thing to show that that was my real name, and there was no mention of any SIM during the entire transaction. They put in a store SIM to show me that it worked, handed it over, took the cash, made out an invoice and I was on my way. You, like your butt buddy Ahmed simply have no idea what you’re talking about.

… people using Huawei phones regularly get requests from Huawei asking for access to their contacts. That should be food for thought for all.

Strange. I have 2 Huawei phones and they never ask me for contacts, though they do “update” the software regularly which pisses me off almost as much as MS updating my Win 10 laptop whether I like it or not, sometimes costing me $1,000s.

China is a communist country and a surveillance state…

Agreed, and I am concerned because while it may be benign today, the infrastructure is, or could soon be turned into a terrible tool in the hands of a less benign regime. Things, change, and not always for the better. You, as an American (apparently) should know that better than anybody. If not, you’ll soon learn it.

As for “communist”, I doubt that you, as an American have any idea what that word actually means. In any case, China is many things but “communist” (in the American sense) ain’t one of them. What I worry about is that it’s turning into a form of Utopianism, and I further fear that it’s converging on a Chinese variant of the sort of Utopianism espoused by the likes of Maurice Strong and Karl Schwab (and now, the Democrats). Whenever Utopianists get their heads wrapped around some hare-brained scheme, bad things result. We’ll see.

  167. China’s social credit system has caused Americans to trust China less. The more people are monitored and afraid of their government, the less anyone can trust that they really mean anything they say or do. Diversity is accompanied by freedom of speech, which allows people to take each other’s words seriously. Social credit is about the government trusting the people, because the government is weak and afraid. The people could rapidly overthrow it if they had some idea of what to replace it with and how. Social credit helps to stifle ideas about better alternatives. This violent stifling produces order, and in China the order is of a clearly Satanic character and systematically seeks to destroy religion and sincerity. As if being orderly and Han is better than being sincere. In the US, people are free to practice many religions, advocate for the independence of Navajo, and condemn the government in very harsh terms. Even if this country falls apart it will be better than China, just like Congo is better off than China right now because the people there are closer to Heaven.

Over the last 20 years, immigration from China, both legal and illegal, has ramped up rapidly, especially anywhere with a university. They got all those visiting scholars. Of what, you ask? One is a Chinese visiting scholar OF ENGLISH. Makes one go WTF, don’t it?*

Your logic is not so hot. That post was not worth 50-cent RMB. Your boss ought to cut your fees down.

I am almost done reading the We Will Be Harmonized book. It’s scary stuff. I am very glad now that I am not a Chinaman. I had a different opinion 10 years back, as I’ll write back to Trickster about.

Bullshit on the phones. My experience was with the ID cards. You don’t have a Chinese National ID card, Erebus. I just got 20 more pages into the extremely disheartening and scary, to be honest, book We Will Be Harmonized. Per the author, facial recognition takes care of getting your identity when you purchase a SIM card for a phone.

Again, anyone can sell a bunch of phones, just like a bunch of laptops or tablets. It’s the connection to the network that ties one into the State’s surveillance. How could you not know this stuff? I was under the impression you were some sort of technical guy.

Listen Erebus, if you know what’s good for you, you ought to GTFO. I had the same attitude you do now, about 15 to maybe only 3 years ago (last time I went there). It’s the Wild East, it’s a can-do country (it is!), the new infrastructure is impressive as hell. However, that Wild East part is gone now. China had a chance to go in the right direction, but when you have totalitarian government to begin with, and the benign guy gets replaced with the spawn of Satan, well, you and that country are on the Silk Road to Hell. (just made that line up, BTW. You’re welcome!)

  179. Smith says:

I don’t like showmethereal but he’s right in this case.

Chink immigrants are far less issue than thought for, real statistics show that the indians actually migrate to the US way more, and they are now touted as baaaasssed because supposedly they are anti-chinks. From a demographic standpoint, chinks have stopped growing while indians will continue to grow for a long time, along with africans, thus they are always more dangerous.

Even in Vietnam, the chink immigrants are easily solved when the govt starts to do shit about it, so this is always a government problem and not the immigrants themselves.

About the stuff about the social credit score in China though, I hear there are some disputes about whether it exists or not, but I have seen a real example of it from the case of that MMA guy, Xu Xiaodong, who was called an american shill for exposing fake kung fu master and now he’s banned from taking flights and has some bullshit laws restricting his movements due to “low social credit scores”. I think that still needs a little more verification.

China is as Erebus asserts !

Well, I calls ’em as I sees ’em. In my book, that’s infinitely closer to the truth than parroting the rubbish one’s picked up by reading the MSM and from almost equally ignorant “friends who’ve been there”.

After almost 3 decades of experience across what is now a large number of countries, China’s simply one of the best run countries in the world. In fact, much better run than my home country, which perennially ranks in the top 10 on any measure, often top 5, several levels above your own in all categories.

As I expressed above, I’m very aware of the significant dangers in becoming too well run. What runs well for a benign regime can run equally well for a malevolent one. You’re quite probably going to experience that in the coming years, as my home country is. My judgment is that those years will come sooner for you than for the Chinese, and perhaps prove much worse.

  183. @Trickster

Trickster, I don’t agree completely with your assessment of China. I hope you understand, contrary to digital-thinker Heeby, that I see the good and the bad and call out what I see. Mr. Erebus keeps bringing up this “friend of a friend” crap, but I have been to China 11 times, once for a month and a half. The Chinese people I know, both here and there, will tell me what really goes on, as I did have rose-colored glasses back 15 years ago when viewing the place.

I saw the place as the “Wild, Wild East” back then. It was thrilling to see the free-market in action, mostly gone from this country for a while. The improvements in infrastructure from one year to a few years later are amazing, as related (this was in the middle of nowhere, as far as China is concerned) in “A Peak Stupidity apology to our Chinese readers”. I’ve written about the can-do spirit in China* vs. America’s current can’t-do spirit.

There was a lot to be said for certain types of freedom in China that I could honestly say beat the hell out of aspects of life in America. However, this is 2020. When you are a can-do country, full of hardworking people, yet there is a new authoritarian ruler with the totalitarian spirit of Mao in total charge of the place, things can go bad in even more of a hurry than they can in a (currently) can’t-do country! The Chinese are getting way ahead in their use of computer/internet technology. That happens to be a bad thing, as a total surveillance State has been built up in a hurry.

You can go to my links up top regarding the “failed hopes” of the place to see my observations of the changes for the worse regarding this Orwellian stuff going on. Some of this I’ve known about for a few years (such as with the phones and internet access), some has been related by friends connected up via we-chat, and now this We Will Be Harmonized book has some of the scariest stuff I’ve heard about yet.

This is why I noted early on in this thread that Mr. Hood’s otherwise good article had a retarded conclusion. If things are going Orwellian, you’d rather have the Ministry of Truth be comprised of AA hires in a hodgepodge of entities, Lyin’ Press, Government, Big Biz, who can’t communicate worth a shit, don’t get any work done, and fight amongst each other than a strong, united Chinese Communist Party with their Skynet.

He’s kind of a jerk-off here, but still, I mean well when I tell Erebus to GTFO.

    .

    * An unz commenter named Da Wei wrote a great little list of the advantages of Chinese society that make the difference in this post, and I noted the new DIY mentality in China in “China vs. America and the local hardware store” with a self-rebuttal here.

  184. @Trickster

I didn’t address the financial issues you brought up, Trickster. Yes, indeed there are still many direly poor rural people in China, though 100’s of millions less than 25 years ago. The huge middle-class still doesn’t have near the spending money than a lower-class American family does, even though the Chinese one works near twice as long hours. Can this go on like that, without the US dollar finally getting sent down the toilet, I dunno?

I’ve been through this with some other commenters who disagree, and you may do so yourself, but, let me tell you, T-bonds are fungible. You can’t just default on some of them, as if saying (with currency) “hey, any 100 dollar bills with serial numbers starting with 8 are hereby null and void” That would be the end of the US dollar (I know, that’s likely coming anyway). If the money owed by America to China were in the form of a mortgage-style note, I’d be the first to support this: “Hey, listen, you people would be speaking Japanese were it not for America. Let’s call it even. Face it, you fucked up – you trusted us!”

I believe China could do well serving its own people with the production that goes into exports now. Their government makes as many financial screw-ups as ours, with lots of mal-investment.

Lastly, again, Trickster, these China ass-kissers show up under about any post on China, especially John Derbyshire’s. I am starting to think that most of them are paid “fifty-centers”, but a few are not but just so enamored with the place, that they refuse to see, or at least admit, any of the bad.

Regarding nationalism, you know you are ruled by Jews when being a “nationalist” is a dirty word and synonymous with being an “antisemite”.

A nationalist used to mean someone who didn’t like Jews ruining his country, now it means someone the Jews don’t like and want to ruin.

In fact, I’d already made concrete plans for a “Plan B” before COVID came along. Now that specific plan has turned sour – out of the pan and into the madhouse. Best laid plans…

… (when) the benign guy gets replaced with the spawn of Satan…

I’ve voiced a similar concern several times in this thread. Much has been done to clean up the environment and beautify China in the 3 yrs since you claim to have been here, but the measures that went into high gear since the COVID panic in Feb, coupled to the Utopianist-flavoured speeches I’ve been seeing make one uneasy.

Nevertheless, the GTFO advice is doubly applicable to yourself because if China’s headed for Brave New World, America’s headed for Oceania. In many ways it’s already there. The Trump Presidency, the 2020 campaign, the election itself, and now its aftermath is one giant turning point, and it remains in the balance whether it’ll prove to be a low- or high-water mark. As of this moment, it’s increasingly looking like it’ll prove to be a high-water mark.

That’s bad because one can’t avoid the striking parallels between how The Party came to rule Oceania and the developments we’ve been watching in America. The electoral fiasco puts the parallels in a harsh light – a failed popular revolution, followed by the victors’ restructuring govt to prevent anyone but right-thinkers ever ruling again. Oceania’s Proles, Outer & Inner Parties have already been delineated. Doublethink, Thoughtcrime, Newspeak, Memory Hole, and the Two Minutes Hate (as 24/7 Hate) are all in plain view. As impossibly alien as they seemed when I first read 1984 decades ago, there they are front and centre. In full roar. Meanwhile, Brexit and the UK’s COVID response couldn’t be bettered to prepare it for its role as Airstrip One.

Quite uncanny watching it play out.

I disagree. If (and I know that’s a very big “IF”) the current crisis devolves into America splitting into 2 or more states along its currently glaring socio-political fault lines, the rest of the world (particularly Russia) should immediately offer diplomatic/political, trade and financial support to the “Deplorable States of America”. Even military support if it comes to that.

They may never again be as “great” as a united America was, but it’s of critical interest to the RoW that they gain the fullest possible sovereignty as quickly as possible. Helping them then to regain their inherent productive and creative power, seated as equals the table of nations, perhaps they’ll eventually sit as equals at the table of Great Powers.

That’s simply the best possible way to hold the rival “neo-Bolshevik States of America” at bay and prevent them from gaining consolidated control of the N. American continent.

  195. This article exemplifies the inertia, self-pity and schizophrenia of the alt-right, which can’t decide whether it wants freedom or fascism.

“In some respects, an openly authoritarian government is better than our system. It’s clear who is in charge.” Fuck off. The people who control our system number in the dozens and everybody knows who they are.

“It’s easier to remove a tyrant because you can always march on the palace or the party HQ.” Are you soft in the head? You are freely denouncing the ruling class, on the surface web, with no fear of prosecution, in a country where more guns are legally circulating among civilians than in the rest of the world combined. You wanna compare that unfavorably to China? LMFAO.

“The rules for what is politically correct change so quickly no one can be sure what to say to avoid trouble.” What makes you so sure that the rules are so well clarified to the Chinese? It doesn’t take a great genius to make the necessary inferences, here or there. Psychological programming doesn’t work unless the victim sees a pattern. When millions of victims all start seeing a pattern, you’re not looking at something very esoteric.

“Their system is authoritarian, but it has this crucial difference from ours: it pushes people to behave correctly.” Total bullshit. Human goodwill is unenforceable. At the point where it becomes enforceable you no longer have a human being, you have a robot with no moral agency. Oh but at least he has a “heritage,” right? The fuck outta here. It would be stupid not to assume that the Chinese social credit system is being and will be gamed to protect elite corruption and artificially inflate the scores of the well-connected. Why should it comfort anyone in that scenario that winos can’t piss freely? Gimme a break.

Rest assured that our elites have a well-honed definition of propriety. You won’t have to worry about whether or not their mechanisms enforce “correct” behavior, because that will be defined for you. Each and every anti-white measure since 1965 has been increasingly coercive and can be opposed on that ground alone. If you choose to keep living in your no-man’s land of race pathos then you won’t ever need to make up your mind about whether authoritarian collectivism is preferable to individual rights. Others will do that for you.

Whiteness is not the paramount threat to misplaced power. Liberty is. Even assuming the former is a prerequisite of the latter, the latter is the only thing that gives any meaning or worth to the former. And before you hit me with the alt-right critique of libertarianism, understand that rights that require the kind of massive state protection that deviants, minorities, and financial predators enjoy today are not liberty. So I’m not advocating doctrinaire current year libertarianism, I’m advocating authentic human freedom, and this “it takes a village” for whitey BS is the farthest thing from it.

  197. GammaRay says:
    @Utter Contempt

Whiteness is not the paramount threat to misplaced power. Liberty is

LOL, you couldnt be more wrong. Liberty by itself has no power, liberty is a positive state in which we can assert ourselves and live “freely” (whatever that means) but it in itself is not a form of power, liberty is only gained through power. Thats the crucial difference. Why else do you think patriots go on and on about freedom AND guns? Its because they themselves know that freedom cannot exist without the power to back it up. Therefore liberty is not a threat to misplaced power, force is. Incidentally, misplaced power is a threat to liberty, but the same cannot be said in reverse. The common denominator here is force/power, youre only as free as your ability to defend your freedom. Without that force, you have no liberty.

And before you hit me with the alt-right critique of libertarianism, understand that rights that require the kind of massive state protection that deviants, minorities, and financial predators enjoy today are not liberty.

so what does constitute liberty then? Can you even explain this beyond vague philosophical platitudes? You can claim you have liberty all you want but if someone more powerful comes along and enslaves you then where is your liberty now? The only thing guaranteeing your liberty is force, the only thing guaranteeing the liberty that “deviants, minorities and financial predators” enjoy is also force. Ironically the kind of liberty that you claim is false and the kind of liberty that you claim is true are both underwritten in the exact same way. Isnt that funny?

I’m advocating authentic human freedom, and this “it takes a village” for whitey BS is the farthest thing from it.

authentic human freedom only exists if you live out in the wild, and even then youve just replaced subservience to government with subservience to the elements. There is no such thing as authentic human freedom, authentic human freedom doesnt exist. Its a philosophical concept in your head. Humans are not born innately free, nothing on this earth is born innately free. Everybody and everything is subject to some higher/stronger force, thats just how reality is.

Also freedom doesnt exist as a binary concept (like how patriots love to envision it), rather freedom exists in degrees. Nobody can ever attain complete freedom, rather they can experience freedom to lesser and greater degrees. Patriots love using vague terms like “liberty” and “freedom” because they sound good and evoke powerful emotions but when it comes down to it what liberty and freedom actually constitutes to these people is quite mundane and “boring”. This is not to say that its bad, its not, but its not as dramatic as they like to make it sound like it is. Liberty is a theoretical ideal to work towards but many patriots mistakenly assume that a true state of liberty is both: attainable, and also stable. The truth is that its neither, you will only attain certain degrees of liberty and you will also have to fight to protect it as well. There is nothing passive about possessing liberty therefore liberty cannot be an “innate” or inviolable property.

“Their system is authoritarian, but it has this crucial difference from ours: it pushes people to behave correctly.” Total bullshit. Human goodwill is unenforceable. At the point where it becomes enforceable you no longer have a human being, you have a robot with no moral agency.

says who? you? The social credit system is just a scaled up and modernized version of the laws and mores which are universal across human societies and which incentivize and disincentivize certain behaviors. Human goodwill might be unenforceable (who knows) but human goodwill is something that can be influenced by the use of sticks and carrots. Actually, I would go as far as to say that society itself is basically the act of enforcing human goodwill writ large. Anyways It sounds to me like youre making the mistake of simplistically assuming that the social credit system will catch every single action that people do and judge it accordingly, but the truth is that its not omnipresent but instead primarily plays a role only where the common social good is concerned. The reality of the largely utilitarian social credit system might still seem dystopian but its hardly as dystopian and arbitrary as your fever dreams are imagining it to be.

also, this notion of “human goodwill” being something that is common and uniform across humanity is absurd. In this world we have many different cultures, races, ethnicities etc, all of them have their own concept of goodwill. Therefore its pretty arrogant to assume that the form and nature of goodwill that you identify with is going to be the same that different cultures embrace too.

Gimme a break.

the elite and well connected can already get away with corruption, they dont need a social credit system for that, and the well connected already have inflated “social credit scores”, why would they need a social credit system which gives them what they already possess? You’re missing the point, the benefit of the social credit system isnt to signal to the masses anything about their elites, the primary point of the social credit system is to make it easier for the elites and the masses to recognize trustworthy people within the masses themselves.

You’re getting bent out of shape thinking about how the social credit system is just a way for the 1% of china to increase their own power while ignoring its utilitarian role in helping to efficiently sort “positive” human capital in a population of over 1.5 billion for the benefit of both the elites and other commoners. Even if the social credit system could be used to improperly benefit the elite this doesnt automatically make it mutually exclusive with being able to benefit the public as well. This isnt a binary proposition, I dont understand why westerners see everything as black and white and are seemingly unable to understand that multiple things can be true (or false, or whatever) at once.

one of the major reasons that the west is declining is because westerners are in love with their ideas and their ideologies instead of just dealing with reality as it actually presents itself. Idealism can be powerful asset but the mirror image of idealism is delusion. You (and the alt-right which you hate) are both equally deluded in your own ways and instead of trying to deal with reality in any sort of coherent, disciplined manner you instead just bloviate about your chosen ideology being right, without even being able to give any sensible, logical, non-emotional reasons to support why your ideas must be right. You can be in love with liberty and freedom all you want, but its not going to put food on the table. If liberty and freedom were as powerful as you say they are then why is the US doing so shitty now? It has the largest concentration of armed, liberty and freedom loving people in the world and its still going down the shitter. The liberty you claim to love is just an idea at the end of the day, its not some supernatural panacea but it seems like you guys dont realize this. Any idea without sensible action behind it will forever remain just that, an idea

of course you wont answer any of that, because you cant. If you were able to mount a reasonable defense of “liberty” as you are imputing it exists then you would have written one already, but you havent, this is why you have to resort to a flimsy meta-refutation of what I wrote instead of directly engaging with my points. If ive somehow misrepresented your points and misconstrued your idea of what constitutes liberty then why not correct my misunderstanding? should be pretty easy to do right? I even asked you this previously:

so what does constitute liberty then? Can you even explain this beyond vague philosophical platitudes?

why leave any room for ambiguity? go ahead, explain what liberty means to you. what are you afraid of?

All you’re demonstrating is that I didn’t need to define liberty for you, it’s self-evident. This is a message board, not a treatise, not a legal brief.

all im demonstrating is that your original point was BS based on a bunch of non-sensical feel good, empty platitudes about freedom

Third, your only substantive response to what I actually said is where you claim the Chinese social credit system is generally beneficial even if misused by elites. Okay. So do you want to live under such a system, or not? Because if you don’t (and of course you don’t) then my problem with it is clear to you and you’re just blowing smoke.

look at this, more simplistic western style thinking: “OH, if you wouldnt like X thing for YOURSELF then X thing must be BAD!”.

sorry to burst your bubble but I wasnt advocating the social credit system, rather I was explaining to a simpleton like yourself the actual intended purpose and scale of the social credit system. Go back and read the full context of this argument, you came out swinging talking about how the social credit system is BAD and then I subsequently responded to you giving you a more nuanced and realistic idea of its implementation and intended effect. I didnt say that the social credit system is beneficial even if it was misused by elites, I was suggesting that the social credit system could be beneficial even if it was misused by elites. Me correcting your misconceptions about the social credit system is not the same as me advocating in favor of the social credit system, although I can understand how an emotionally fueled myopic westerner like yourself would come to that conclusion.

Therefore your little “gotcha!” about whether or not I would like to live under the social credit system cant even be used on me since I was never advocating it in the first place. Isnt it amazing that its this difficult to have any kind of nuanced, intellectual conversation weighing out the pros and cons of a given topic without someone like you immediately demanding that people take sides? Whether or not I want to live under the social credit system has nothing at all to do with its actual effectiveness or ability to improve the quality of life and society in china (especially over the medium and long term). Im always amused by how your types accuse liberals of only thinking with their emotions but it invariably turns out that your kind do the exact same thing. Its all about how something makes you personally feel, you could give a rats ass about whether or not something actually works, or if its effective, etc etc. Nothing in life is ever black and white, why do people like you continue to act like it is?

My own personal beliefs about the social credit system is that it can be used for good and for bad, this should be an obvious and non-controversial statement. In fact I already suggested this was the case in my previous response to you:

The reality of the largely utilitarian social credit system might still seem dystopian but its hardly as dystopian and arbitrary as your fever dreams are imagining it to be.

I think the social credit system could be dystopian, but its not as dystopian as many people believe. Could it end up that way at some point? Sure, but OTOH it might not. Its completely unknown at this point. Would I want to live under that kind of a system? maybe. It depends on the situation; if I had to choose between living in a free society with a bunch of degenerates or a safe and intellectual society that had a social credit system then I would probably pick the free society if I was young and single but I would pick the social credit society if I had a family. It all depends on what my life situation is like and where my priorities are at. You see that? Isnt it funny how there can be multiple perspectives and contexts which can change everything and everything isnt just black and white? Furthermore, youre overlooking the most important piece of context which was mentioned in this comment from @georg (#163) and the response from @showmethereal (#176):

You are missing an important point in the chinese “Social Credit System”: Millions of people are moving from the countryside, into the cities. Many of them come from underdeveloped regions, so they lack skills necessary in a “modern” world, plus they are removed from their (real-life) social networks. This could create a mass of non-integrated anti-socials in the suburbs. The SCS forces them to become “well-behaved”, productive citizens.

China is dealing with completely different social realities than the US is; its reasonable that a completely different civilization dealing with completely different social realities would resort to using completely different methods than those that are used in the US, this shouldnt be surprising to anyone. Furthermore, china is not threatening to forcibly import this system to the US, so whats the problem? It doesnt affect you. People like you genuinely believe that the chinese are implementing the social credit system just because the chinese are “inhumane” and “hate freedom”, it never once occurs to you all that maybe the reason the chinese are implementing it is because its a practical solution and ideology has nothing to do with it, but OTOH I wouldnt expect people who perceive everything through an ideological lense to understand this.

Sometimes there is no perfect solution to a complex problem, therefore we must settle for a suboptimal solution instead, which is better than no solution at all. This is how I view the social credit system, a necessary evil if you will in the given specific context of china circa the early 21st century. Its stupid to instinctively consider something as solely good or bad and not bothering to consider both the situation and the overarching context in which its occurring in and trying to think about the matter from all possible angles, is that too hard for you? Ironically Im exercising more “freedom” and “liberty” of thought by trying to think about this topic in many different ways, meanwhile you’re trying to discourage my freedom of thought by trying to constrain my possible opinions on the matter to only two choices. How incredibly ironic is that?

Pay no mind. It’s a bot programmed to do extremely simple wignat mad-libs.

LOL, subhuman mischling mutt retard calling ME a bot? I actually do have agency and not enslaved to a concept I cant even define.

Now, why don’t you response to GammaRay and define Freedumb?

    >wignat mad libs
That would be you. I supported the orange kike back then, I dropped it when it betrayed everyone in 2017. I can admit when I fucked up, you will never, just like any other low IQ lolberturdian.

You are the kind of people to read books about Utopua written by yet another parasitic kike, in mindset and in practice. Pray tell, to which you jack off at night, Rosenbaum or Rothbard?

And FYI, anyone supporting a “movement” like Falun Gong has shown every visitors of worth his level of intellect.

Because the invading aliens had already captured the propaganda industry.

All religion and politics can be summarised by OBEY. Good of you to expose some of the flaky history of contrarian/liberal thought.

A minor point: While some religions begin with no god and continue to maintain the claim, the drive to exploit (by the leaders) and to grovel (by the followers) never fails to corrupt them in practice.

Far more important than the spying: Read up on what keeping the phone in your pocket is doing to your health.

Relying on SCMP (the enemy in HK) undemines the article. In China today, payment by cash is impractical at most establishments, and would inconvenience their operators. Clearly, the claim that demerits bar a person from online payments is unreliable. In the NewSpeak of the US platforms, it is inauthentic.

  210. @HeebHunter

“I actually do have agency.” No one of whom this is true needs to say this. You sound like that scene in I, Robot where the robot thanks Will Smith for referring to it as “him” instead of “it.”

But of course you’re not a bot. No bot could be programmed to be as stupid and disturbed as you obviously are. Congratulations, you’re a living argument against the freedom you reject.

And GammaRay? GammaRay is as windy and febrile as you. The only person who needs to respond to him is a shrink, since he clearly doesn’t have a mother.

  211. @Utter Contempt

I’m not a libertarian, BTW. Don’t know where you inferred that, but your power of inference is as feeble as your propensity for it is prolific.

  212. @Utter Contempt

Lol, so there is no definition of freedumb or lolberty the. Ktx bye.
