If winning a military battle is defined by the accomplishment of one’s military objectives, then Hamas won the current round of violence with its very first ballistic barrage on Jerusalem ten days ago. Israel, on the other hand, won’t win, can’t win and doesn’t even dream of winning. Like in recent ‘rounds’, all Israel hopes to achieve is an ‘image of victory.’ Despite its military might and destructive enthusiasm, Israel can’t prevail militarily because it doesn’t even remember what military objectives are or what they look like.

In the last seven decades Israel has worked relentlessly to divide the Palestinians in an attempt to dismantle their ability to resist as one people. This project had been so successful in the eyes of the Israelis that many of them started to believe that the Palestinian cause had evaporated into thin air. But then, completely out of the blue (as far as the Israelis are concerned), Hamas managed to unite the Palestinians into a unified fist of resistance: on Tuesday every Palestinian between the River and the Sea joined a strike called by Hamas. Such a collective, multi-sectorial strike didn’t happen in Palestine since 1936.

Military victory is not measured by the carnage you inflict on your foe. It isn’t measured by the number of casualties or the residential towers one reduces into dust. Admittedly, there is no room for comparison between Israeli military capabilities and Hamas’ firepower. Israel is one of the most technologically advanced military forces in the world. Hamas is decades behind, yet it wins over Israel in every round of violence.

The reason is simple. Hamas’ military objectives are simple and modest. Hamas has vowed to keep the resistance alive. It fulfills its promise. By achieving this goal Hamas has positioned itself as the Palestinian unifier. Israel, on the other hand, can’t decide its military goals. We hear Israel’s Defence Minister vowing to bring security to the Israelis but Hamas proves him wrong, continuing to rain Israel with rockets at a growing rate. Israel brags about its precision bombing of Hamas’ tunnels, yet rather cynically, Hamas keep operating from tunnels that seem intact and operational.

It doesn’t take a military genius to grasp that in order to stop Hamas, Israel needs to deploy ground forces and to engage in a fierce battle in the streets of Gaza. But this is exactly the one thing the IDF refuses to do and for a manifold of very good reasons. Firstly, the Israelis are fearful of a house-to-house battle. Second, Israel doesn’t want to control 2.5 million Gazans. Third, not one Israeli military leader is willing to face the relentless Israeli mothers brigade. In the region, however, Israel’s reluctance to send foot soldiers to Gaza is understood as cowardice and weakness.

For Israel, Gaza in particular and Palestine in general is a no-win situation.

But there is a deeper reasoning behind Israel’s hopeless situation. Israeli decision makers (both within the political realm and in the military) subscribe to the power of deterrence. For Israelis, the power of deterrence means punishing the Arabs so heavily that their will to fight would practically stop existing. For one reason or another, the Israelis manage to clumsily zigzag through their troubling history in the region in an attempt to validate this doctrine. For instance, Israel works hard to convince themselves that despite their military fiasco in Lebanon in 2006, Hezbollah has been reluctant to enter a new round of violence with Israel because it is intimidated by the consequences.

Examination of Israeli history actually defies the Israeli doctrine. When Arabs are defeated and humiliated in the battlefield they keep fighting until they win. When Arabs win, they often lose their motivation to keep fighting. They occasionally seek peace and harmony in accordance with the Islamic teaching.

In 1967 Israel defeated 3 Arab armies in just 6 days. Israel performed a perfect Blitzkrieg operation. The Israeli air force surprised and destroyed the Egyptian, Jordanian and Syrian air forces on the ground in less than four hours. Simultaneously, Israeli Panzers raided into Sinai, within hours the Egyptian forces collapsed. The humiliation of the Egyptian army was unprecedented in military terms.

If the Israeli doctrine carried any validity, Egypt wouldn’t consider any military confrontation with Israel. But the reality on the ground proved the opposite. Just a few months after their June 1967 defeat, the Egyptian Army launched a war of attrition against Israel, one which exhausted the Israeli forces (including the air force). In the War of Attrition (1967-70) Egypt displayed new capabilities, relying on new Soviet ground-to-air missiles that obliterated Israeli air superiority. Yet Israel refused to draw the necessary conclusions. It was suffocated by hubris that prevented it from reading its neighbors and their intentions.

On 6 October 1973 (Yom Kippur) at 2 PM, Egypt and Syria launched a coordinated attack on Israeli forces in the Suez Canal and in the Golan Heights. Within hours the two Arab armies managed to obliterate the Israeli defence lines. A few days later and thanks to a close American airlift Israel recovered. It gained its lost land in the occupied Golan heights and even managed to conquer some new territory in Syria. In the South, Israel managed to establish bridgehead over the Suez Canal. It encircled the Egyptian 3rd army and cut its supply lines. But Israel failed to push the Egyptian 3rd and 2nd armies back. The Egyptian army ended the war, claiming a narrow strip of Sinai back. It was this victory that empowered Anwar Sadat to launch a peace initiative four years later (1977).

Hafez al-Assad, the Syrian leader at the time, didn’t manage to claim a victory. Syria remained a defiant enemy of Israel. It is reasonable to speculate that if Assad was allowed to cling to some of his territorial gains in October ‘73, Israel and Syria could have proceeded into further reconciliatory talks.

ORDER IT NOW

The same logic can be applied to Hezbollah. The Lebanese Shia resistance movement is reluctant to fight Israel not because it is afraid of the consequences, as Israelis delude themselves, but because it already won significantly over the IDF. A war with Israel is dangerous for Hezbollah not because Israel will do its best once again to destroy Lebanese infrastructure and flatten half of Beirut, but because the outcome of such a war is unknown. Hezbollah is in a much better position retaining its status as the Arab military force that made the IDF run home with its tail between its legs (2006).

One may wonder whether Israeli strategists are so thick as not to grasp the most obvious facts about their neighbors and what fuels their motivation to fight. It may of course be possible that Israel’s decision makers aren’t as excited by tranquility as some of us want to believe. Gaza is where Israel tests its new weaponry and tactics. Gaza rockets are a necessary ingredient in the Iron Dome’s public relations. Most importantly, the Gaza crisis emerged when Netanyahu’s political options were running out. It was the Gaza current conflict that made the political powers in Israel subside and then crystalize lucidly within the realm of the hard right. This war made both Netanyahu and Hamas stronger.

It would be fair to argue that Hamas is operating within the modernist perception of conflicts as devised by Carl von Clausewitz. For the German military philosopher “war is the continuation of politics by other means.” In ‘postmodernist’ Israel, it seems war is one of the means that keeps some politicians out of prison.

The 6-day war propaganda is that three massive Arab armies attacked Israel in ’67. The truth is the Arab armies consisted of three different armies, uncoordinated, and with a TOTAL of 30,000 men. The Israel had double that, better weapons, training, supplies from Britain and America.

What were the Iranian objectives for their proxy’s attack?

    — If it was keeping Jewish lands under Muslim control — Hamas Failed. The Muslim ethnic cleansing by TransJordanian forces in 1947 is still being reversed.

    — If it was inflicting casualties — Hamas Failed. Hundreds of Hamas combatants died. This count included known terrorist leaders.

    — If it was building Muslim unity — Hamas Failed. Hamas killed more Muslims in Gaza than Jews in Palestine. That is going to generate backlash in the local community.

The Image of Defeat is crystal clear. Hundred of Muslims died and absolutely nothing has changed.

Since when you are a military expert? The arabs do not operate out of “Islamic teachings” – this is nonsense. It’s a combination of pragmatism and strategic long term view. The arab world is very much defeated – both militarily and mentally – as they seem to be resigned to be divided, weak and ruled by dictators who normalize relations with the apartheid state.

The Palestinians are not defeated because they really have no choice but to keep fighting with meager means for mere survival in the face of 73 dispossession by the Zionist colonists, who are supported by the world’s only superpower.

Palestinian Liberation will follow White Liberation from Jewish Power.

    Ramzpaul is right.

    https://rumble.com/vh9jtn-when-blessings-become-curses.html

There is a circular logic to white demise at the hands of Jews. When whites supported Jewish war on Palestinians, they were digging their own graves. If Jews were into reciprocity and mutual respect, they would appreciated white support and been kindly to the West. But the Jewish Master Plan wasn’t only to gain dominance over Palestinians but hegemony over the West. From West Bank to the West.
Emboldened by white support in the destruction of Palestine, Jewish Power turned its guns against whites next.

It’s like the circular logic in PAT GARRETT AND BILLY THE KID. Garrett aided the Law in killing Billy, but it comes full circle and he ends up getting killed by the same forces.

But what is the white reaction to Jewish supremacist evil?

It’s like this. Suppose a Jewish guy unleashes a cougar to attack a white goy. The cougar is biting and clawing the white guy half-to-death. Meanwhile, the Jewish guy is cackling with hideous glee and rooting for the cougar to bite off the white goy’s ass. But the cougar then turns around and scratches the Jew before going back to maul the white guy. And the white guy thinks, “Letting this cougar loose is a bad idea because it scratched the Jew. I must do everything to protect the Jew!” He thinks thus even though the cougar has been let loose against him by the Jewish guy.

Look at the whole diversity thing. Jews use it against whites and giggle with joy at white demise. But the main white argument against diversity is “It might hurt Jews” or “Jews shouldn’t support diversity because it’s bad for the Tribe.” Nothing about how it hurts whites and how Jews are behind it and take pleasure in white demise.

    White cuck-roaches are the worst.

Hamas did what it could, but it’s not Hamas that you must fear. It’s the Shia resistance that armed Hamas, comprised of mighty Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Yemen. Well-armed, disciplined, principled, fearless, and invincible. Hamas has merely reinforced the long held view that Israel is as weak as a spider’s web. This is the right moment, in all seriousness, for you to go to Israel and show your support. Whether you go there, or stay put in your comfortable locale, will demonstrate cowardice or courage. 10. Like in recent ‘rounds’, all Israel hopes to achieve is an ‘image of victory.’ Despite its military might and destructive enthusiasm, Israel can’t prevail militarily because it doesn’t even remember what military objectives are or what they look like.

The oldest and most primordial variety of conflict is the dispute over land and resources.
For the Israeli’s to sustain the status quo, they need to either withdraw into a Roman Testudo formation internally, or avoid all media coverage of events that will provoke global outrage – not only in the USA – but in the greater Muslim world.

The Pyrrhic nature of the Israeli air domination over the Pali’s is notable in the rising of Pakistan, in particular, as a new player in the Pali cause..

This is potentially a huge game-changer in a really bad way for the Israeli leadership, because it not only deflates any pressure campaign on the Iranians, but you now have a potential adversary who is already a nuclear power, unlike Iran, and who has a noted history of proliferation. Israeli options against Pakistan seem pretty slim, excepting a possible attempt to use India as a client, which in and of itself would be yet another huge risk on a global scale.

One of the most poignant posts, I think it was by Mr Cook at Unz, linked to a video of a Pali family having a picnic led by what appeared to be grandparents in a wooded area, approached by armed civilians –

No one dies, no one is harmed, but even without any Arab or Hebrew language ability, you can hear the outrage and hurt in the voice of the (subtitled) grandfather being told to leave a public area, because of his ethnicity, and the family he is taking on the outing.

Soon, Israeli soldiers arrive at the scene, and – the first time that I saw this – I happily awaited the soldiers communicating to the grandfather that he could continue his picnic in peace, and warning the armed civilians to leave the family alone.. That is not what happened, and I would genuinely be interested in someone telling me how this treatment of a peaceful family picnic, on public lands, is in any way justified.

This incident received no national coverage, that I am aware of.

Basically, we all have the daily option of right or wrong. If you opt to do right, you don’t need complicated explanations, justifications or a sales pitch. If you opt to do wrong, you need to engage in some sort of rationale or apologetic’s which begin to fade in capacity to convince, even by very gradual increments.

A smart victor is a benevolent victor. This is because happy and prosperous people, treated as equals are a wise investment in your own future, as well.

  17. Israel doe not want any kind of settlement. Continued low level conflict very much serves their interests. So long as things continue this way they more or less have a free hand.

I never understood that Shekinah thing. I’ve read some explanations of it in texts about the Kabbalah, and it was even more confusing. So there’s a male God, a female God, and Jews are basically waiting for them to reunite and have sex?

From Israel Shahak’s Jewish History, Jewish Religion:

According to the cabbala, the universe is ruled not by one god but by several deities, of various characters and influences, emanated by a dim, distant First Cause, Omitting many details, one can summarise the system as follows. From the first Cause, first a male god called ‘Wisdom’ or ‘Father’ and then a female goddess called ‘Knowledge’ or ‘Mother’ were emanated or born.

From the marriage of these two, a pair of younger gods were born: Son, also called by many other names such as ‘Small Face’ or The Holy Blessed One’; and Daughter, also called ‘Lady’ (or ‘Matronit’, a word derived from Latin), ‘Shekhinah’, ‘Queen’, and so on.

These two younger gods should be united, but their union is prevented by the machinations of Satan, who in this system is a very important and independent personage, The Creation was undertaken by the First Cause in order to allow them to unite, but because of the Fall they became more disunited than ever, and indeed Satan has managed to come very close to the divine Daughter and even to rape her (either seemingly or in fact ~ opinions differ on this).

    Sekinah:
(in Jewish and Christian theology) the glory of the divine presence, conventionally represented as light or interpreted symbolically (in Kabbalism as a divine feminine aspect).

    Feminine aspect?!

First, there was the “in-his-image-mangods” pagan garbage (common theme between Judenism & Chrizzianity, and evidently Hindooism and every other pagan faith).

Then this, Sekinah … the “Hebrew Goddess,” and “consort and beloved of Yahweh. God-the-Mother.” The Chrizzies simply reimagined Sekinah as the Holy Ghost?

    https://northernway.org/hgoddess.html
    https://www.crystalinks.com/shekinah.html

What on earth is up with all this pagan vomit (one of the links even draws a link to Hindooism!!)? It is amazing how pagans from all over, simply share in their accursed paganisms. (can I have some of this and that… sure, take it…)

ROTFL — You have to be kidding.

The offensive by Iranian Hamas was totally ineffective. And, it generated significant “friendly fire” casualties among the civilian population in Gaza: (1)

a homemade rocket fired by a Palestinian armed group fell short and killed eight Palestinians, including two children. … Another 34 Palestinian civilians were injured in the blast, including 10 children, according to DCIP’s documentation.

The Israeli counterstrike, on the other hand, was highly successful. Here is an approximate tally of the casualties:

    • Hamas killed 1 [ONE] IDF soldier.
    • Hamas killed at least 8 [EIGHT] Gaza residents, including two children.
    • Israel killed at least 225 Hamas terrorists, including 25 commanders and technical experts.

You can apply spin as much as you want. No rational, objective mind will believe that the side that lost by over 100:1 was somehow the victor.
    _____

Israel accepted the “cease fire”, because they completed 100% of their objectives. (2)

After years of close monitoring, the military’s intelligence arm expresses satisfaction with severe blows delivered to Hamas’ strategic capabilities, including production of rockets and other advanced armaments

Military Intelligence Directorate officials said on Thursday that the IDF had almost depleted its target bank within the Gaza Strip as the current round of fighting with Palestinian terrorist groups may be nearing its closure.

We’ve eliminated senior Hamas engineers, experts in rocket production and other types of armaments,” the officer said. “These are sources of knowledge that otherwise don’t exist in the Gaza. It’s also hard to find a replacement for them as opposed to senior field commanders that are eliminated. We’re talking about research and development experts that are unique to a para-military guerilla group that specializes in fighting in densely built places such as Gaza.”

Israel was so successful — The IDF ran out of Hamas terrorist targets to strike.

There may not be much chance for the growing middle class in China to escape the mind control of the CCP for a very long time, but the situation in Iran is surely quite different. Indeed, would it not be reasonable to expect that a prosperous growing modern middle class in Iran would be likely to throw off theocracy and, with it, any sense of war against Israel being sensible?

It would surely follow that sanctions against Iraq should be lifted and as much as possible done to facilitate its turning into an ordinary prosperous modern country. Your opinion?

    Correct.

Putin changed the Russian constitution – which had been written by American Jews during the Yeltsin days – so as to exclude from public office those who have not lived in Russia for many years – and much else. He obviously does not want the Jews of Israel to rush back “home”. 🙂

Very true – I don’t think I’ve seen this point made so succinctly before. Israel ‘won’ in 1973 & 2006 – achieved its strategic aims – by losing at the operational level. Meanwhile Hamas is designed to lose, and wins – unites the Palestinians under it – by losing.

“— If it was building Muslim unity — Hamas Failed. Hamas killed more Muslims in Gaza than Jews in Palestine. That is going to generate backlash in the local community.”

No, all those deaths get blamed on Israel. No backlash. This is why Hamas wins by losing.

  45. anonymous[139] • Disclaimer says:

Much depends on what is meant by “winning”. Win what? The Gazans aren’t going anywhere, their standard of living won’t go up, they won’t acquire any foreign patrons that could directly help them. Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia are indifferent, Iran is too far away and is threatened by the US, Syria is too weak, Hezbollah can’t project very far outward. Homemade rockets shot into Israel just harass and kill a few unlucky passers-by but can’t affect the state. The recent grandstand collapse probably killed and injured more Israelis than Hamas’ rockets. In contrast Israel will get three quarters of a billion worth of weapons sent to it right away making the reprisal business a good deal for them. A Quote from Jewish History, Jewish Religion:
The Weight of Three Thousand Years

“According to Israeli law a person is considered ‘Jewish’ if either their mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother were Jewesses by religion; or if the person was converted to Judaism in a way satisfactory to the Israeli authorities, and on condition that the person has not converted from Judaism to another religion, in which case Israel ceases to regard them as ‘Jewish’. Of the three conditions, the first represents the Talmudic definition of ‘who is a Jew’, a defintion followed by Jewish Orthodoxy. The Talmud and post-Talmudic rabbinic law also recognise the conversion of a non-Jew to Judaism (as well as the purchase of a non-Jewish slave by a Jew followed by a different kind of conversion) as a method of becoming Jewish, provided that the conversion is performed by authorised rabbis in a proper manner. This ‘proper manner’ entails for females, their inspection by three rabbis while naked in a ‘bath of purification’, a ritual which, although notorious to all readers of the Hebrew press, is not often mentioned by the English media in spite of its undoubted interest for certain readers. I hope that this book will be the beginning of a process which will rectify this discrepancy.”

Why do they believe that ?
Some claim it goes to Leviticus 25:10, mentioned on the Liberty Bell :

“And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubilee unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.”

    Interlinear here –
    https://theisraelbible.com/bible/leviticus/chapter-25/verse-10

Apparently the Hebrew word for ‘ye shall return’ (tashuvu) is spelled with a missing letter vav in the Torah. Letter vav can stand for the value six.

Supposedly the missing letter for six, in the word ‘ye shall return’, can be interpreted to mean “you shall return minus six million.” Thus six million must die before the return to the Holy Land.

A genuine but bizarre religious belief ? Or a cover for another truth ?

I think you can cont me as a realist too. I am a [fifth generation] Australian who made an after dinner speech in Boston in 2000 in which I teased my hosts by saying that I thanked God for America saving the world from democracy. I characterised America as a “plutocracy, tempered by meritocracy, within a framework of law, and flavoured with the rhetoric of democracy”. I explained that America’s economic rationalist [now called neo-liberal] opening up to China made Australia richer than it could otherwise have been and that Australia’s economic rationalists/neo-liberals couldn’t have gone nearly as far in shafting the local working class with middle class incomes. Australia is about as close as a multicultural society can come to being a democracy. It has long been obvious that America is, as you say, a plutocracy. It would be nice if it still had some decent old-/fashioned oligarchs : think Andrew Mellon even if he wasn’t sufficiently Keynesian for my liking.

Of course America still seems to have a lot of local democracy which, added to still existing civil society is an attractive feature of parts of America.

I’m surprised that I’ve never heard anything like that version with American and British pilots. Where do you get it from? How can one get some supporting evidence?

Now lets get to the subject in a more pointed and much focussed way :

The world is not run the way we want and when we want . Even when we want it for ourselves ,we may not want it for other .

Why Colombia is still a jungle of violence ? Why Hondurus suffered from a coup again in 2009 ? Why Nigeria is not Kuwait ? Why do we torture Assange? Why do we entrap mentally retarded and send them to penitentiary ? Why do we create Hong Kong resistance but ignore Yellow Vest of France or farmers agitation in Modi’s India ?

Why liberal secular Iraq was destroyed in 1990 ? Why liberal secular Russia was destroyed in 1990 ? How many liberal societies were destroyed by the British in pursuits of moolah ? Why Iran was reduced to tyranny of Shah from democracy ?

Apologists of the hegemonies often would raise their voices in seemingly sympathetic curious ways as if there were no knowledge of the existence of the recorded history of the monstrosities of the US-UK which have been in the business of destroying
tolerant secular traditional societies for last 1150 years for a few pieces of silver

The earlier operation ‘Cast Lead’ cost 1398 Palestinian lives with just 1 life on the Israeli side. Now with the Iranian precision missile production ramping up and the ease with which Iran’s allies in the ‘arc of resistance’ can retro fit their existing stockpiles with a suitcase sized section incorporated in the missile with the ability to guide those missiles precisely onto target [see Al Asad air base last year] which means very shortly Israel will be surrounded on all sides by the ‘arc’ of liberation.

In my opinion these conventional missiles are the real reason Trump, at the behest of Netanyahu cancelled the JCPOA, the Iranians have no intention to stop production of these missiles [after all every state has a right to defend themselves, right] and no intention not to supply their allies with same. In my opinion the legal proliferation of these game changing weapons is the reason Israel is spooked, and quite rightly spooked, after all the Metropolitan area of Tel Aviv is approx 52 sq kilometres, which means Hezbollah’s 100,000 Missiles alone [low estimate] could decimate Tel Aviv, home to most of the Israeli population and Industry with 37 missies hitting per sq Kilometre, Its oil and gas platforms would be gone care of the C802 cruise missiles which took out the Israel Frigate Hanit in the 2006 conflict. The entrance of Pakistan as a supporter of the Palestinian cause is a very important signal that the Chinese are willing to, at this point, use indirect pressure by proxy. Pakistan has been lapping up Belt and Road \$ from China and I don’t see any reason they would support Palestine without Chinese agreement. I consider this a very, very good sign. The zio’s have wrecked their bully-boy ZUSA after assassinating President JFK, USS Liberty, 9/11 and looting/despoiling the country that took them in as ragarse refugees while one kike appointee after another fights their wars for them.

And Americans sit there and take it, bleed and die for zio until now the parasite has almost finished their country off …

There was a post a few days ago from an American saying if only Palestinians could appreciate how many Americans were on their side … maybe true, but —

who genuinely hand-on-heart could trust them ?

On the same day, the Biden administration notified Congress of its approval for Boeing’s sale of \$735 million worth of Joint Direct Attack Munitions to the Israeli regime. Munitions paid for with US taxpayer money. Each year, the US government dispenses \$3.8 billion of your money in “military aid” to the Israeli government. The only string attached to that aid is that the Israelis has to use it to buy American (rather than Russian or Chinese) arms.

The Israelis ignored Deif’s warning and continued their abuses. The rockets flew. Israel then falsely claimed “self-defense,” and Netanyahu ordered the war he badly needs to distract from his recent election defeat and his ongoing corruption trial.

When citizens object to the US government handing out such big welfare checks, Israel’s defenders claim it’s not really aid to the Israelis, it’s actually just corporate welfare for American “defense” contractors, creating jobs right here in the good ol’ US of A. This is supposed to make you feel better about the whole corrupt mess that Eisenhower warned us not to let happen.

The American taxpayer is financing the filling of body bags with the bodies of Palestinian civilians including their children. That’s your tax dollars at work, saving the political neck of Israel’s answer to Saddam Hussein.

That seems a bit too unfocused for me to tackle without a lot of spare time on my hands and no competition for attention even after fixing the 1050 years. So I merely point out that Iran has been very different from Saudi Arabia and would I guess be a generation ahead of it in modernity.

Your 150 years isn’t at all the same for the British Empire and the USA. The disappointing Ulysses Grant Presidential era was about to slip into Jim Crow without that being good for Native Americans. By contrast the UK government had accepted adverse reports on the East India Company and liberal arguments, and had taken over the government of India, though with huge numbers of local public servants, and trained well a remarkably high minded corps of Brits for the Indian Civil Service. Independence was being granted to numerous colonies while the US was still acquiring them by war. What BTW “tolerant secular traditional societies” do you havecin mind as “destroyed” and how did the metaphor of “pieces of silver” apply? 100. Andreas says:

At each increment in this conflict there is a tangible improvement in both weaponry, intelligence and discipline by the Palestinians.

At each increment, the chorus of voices around the world in support of Palestine increases, this time almost reaching a roar; whereas for Israel one could only hear the mechanical echo of the same hollow excuses for behavior that in any other part of the world among any other people would most certainly be called racist and apartheid. Hamas have become information warriors too. Notable is the absence of the bravado – unpolished, defiant, yet pathetic in its ineffectualness – that characterized the propaganda of the early Palestinian resistance. Today Hamas has a message. And the world has heard it loud and clear.

At each increment, little if anything seems to improve for Israel militarily. If anything, it seems that the Iron Dome can still do a reasonable job keeping up with certain types of rockets. More significant though is what Israel did not do. They did not go into Gaza on the ground. That signifies an expectation by planners of poor outcomes for Israeli ground forces. Too many broken arrows? Israel’s intelligence is good enough to know that Gaza is a kill box of narrow streets, interlaced tunnels, IEDs, and covered by RPGs and ATGMs and where every Palestinian is a networked eye and ear of Hamas with coded channels to locate Israeli ground forces. But Israeli intelligence was not good enough to prevent it. And now Israel cannot risk the outcome of a ground invasion. Alas, and now what?

Thus, we cannot even credit Israel for maintaining the status quo, or perhaps just barely. For Israel has lost precious ground, though not yet in physical territory. It is losing the information war. It can no longer risk operating on the ground in Gaza. Its intelligence could not prevent the emergence of the new rocket technology and kill boxes in Gaza. And it remains to be seen if Iron Dome technology can keep up with advances in Palestinian rocket capability and command-and-control.

So we have two curves over the last 2o years, one the Israelis, on a plateau, but sagging in the dumps of moral bankruptcy, and the other the Palestinians, on a clear ascent and with the moral wind at her back. At some point those two curves will meet.

  101. This was not a battle, the Palestinians were not armed, what it was, was a genocide, a holocaust of the Palestinians, instigated by the Mossads agent provocateurs aka Hamas, which is a wing of the Mossad whose duty is to instigate wars to further the Israeli greater Israel agenda.

Hamas also fights along side of ISIS aka AL CIADA in Syria in their role of terrorists involved in the overthrow of the Syrian government and of course ISIS aka AL CIADA is a creation of the ZUS, Israel and ZBritain as is the White Helmets.

Since then, developments on the ground teach that the current PLO/Fatah/Hamas “terrorist resistance” strategy is making things worse. How has the past 20-30 years of terrorist aggression impacted the life for the average Muslim on the street?

Palestinian Jews have established security to protect their people in Jewish Palestine. Every senseless provocation by Fatah and Hamas results in an additional controls. At this point, the minimum necessary security measures are quite burdensome to the average Muslim on the street.

Arab nations that once supported “terrorist resistance” are now making peace deals with Israel. The Muslim side in this conflict is much like the American side in Vietnam. Morally bankrupt and rapidly losing international support. Civilized nations are moving away from the unsuccessful Fatah/Hamas cycle of violent provocation and escalation.

Instead of losing *another* generation to false hope and futile efforts to steal land from Palestinian Jews — Would it not be better for the Muslim side to consider a new & realistic strategy?

To displace the Ottoman influence, terrorist and immigration was used with purpose to incorporate Israel as a nation state. The nation state was necessary for a claim of sovereign rights. Sovereign right were necessary to better arm and equip the military ( Sovereign status is required by international law) also in order for the western oil companies and other commercial interest to own the resources (only rule of law [which a nation state can provide) can convert public land into private ownership of oil rights).

The search for a place to consolidate private ownership protected by a nation state, began in 1897. in Switzerland. Invasion of, and occupancy of, the Ottoman Empire got its direction and momentum when the Balfour Agreement was signed.

Before wwI, German and Italian oil companies were in position by negotiation and effort with the Ottoman to build railroads and transportation facilities throughout the oil rich Ottoman empire (much like BRI China now) in exchange for a portion of the oil reserves. The western private oil and MIC interest would have none of that. So the Ottoman Empire, as a spoil of the war, came under the control of the French and British governments. If interested, the proceedings of the war crimes white wash commission headed by General Palin over Palestinian rights can clarify much of the missing information.

The various nations states (Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Libia, Egypt, tec ) in the region were formed to keep control.

Either ‘Judaism’ is an empty term — in which case why do they have a country, etc — or it does mean something, in which case it would be incumbent upon Jews to do something about the crimes of their co-religionists.

After all, come 1945, we didn’t just tell the Germans: ‘well, we got rid of that guy. Why don’t you pick a replacement?”

No…if Jewishness means anything in the first place, it’s up to Jews to either disavow the criminals or to do something about them. Since WW2 there has only been one large-scale war in Europe (breakup of Yugoslavia) but western countries (especially the US, have been involved in constant wars beyond the borders of the west. We in the west are all too familiar with war. When the Jews didn’t have any influence over the culture and politics of western nations, decadence did not become the norm in times of peace.

The Israel from 1948 to the present day, is not a real country, it’s a pretend country and if Zionism were to collapse and Israel made peace with the native people around and within it’s present borders, it would evolve into a true middle eastern nation with a mix of cultures and with peace, prosperity would follow.

Your glaring ignorance (that Mulga refers to) is manifested in your ideas that “a prosperous growing modern middle class in Iran” would want to change the government that facilitated the prosperity. Secondly, your ignorance is displayed by your thinking that the middle class in Iran, actual or potential, are not aware of the forces that have held them down for so many years, even if we only harken back to the aftermath of 1979. An additional flash of ignorance is your framing Iran’s belligerence towards Israel as not being sensible or shared by the population. I know, Jews like you, in Austfalia, the US, Europe, or Israel, envision “the Mullahs” as some bearded, smelly old men who keep a huge population down, a population of Shiites who really would like to become Jews, adopting the materialism, perversion, and anti-gentilism (anti-humanity) that comes along with your ethnic group.

Look on the bright side, Wiz, and realize that the deal between Iran and China is going to facilitate a huge part of the Iranian population reaching middle class status. The teeth of the western sanctions, driven in US politics by Jewish economic and political manipulations, are rotted and falling out. Look east, Iran, and take your place among the prosperous nations.

Your logic could just as easily be applied to killing all natives Americans to take their land by force, so it’s nothing new. The list of countries we have applied the same logic to is very long and includes many well educated populations. But here is another angle.

Israel is threatened by the Palestinians because they breed like rodents. I’m sorry, I mean no slur, and yes the Palestinians have had their lands stolen and they have been treated badly, I get that. But still, the Palestinians breed like rodents, even though I sympathize with them as individuals, as a mass they are toxic and nobody in the Middle East wants them. It gets little press, but the Egyptians and Jordanians and Lebanese despise them and are increasingly as brutal as the Israelis in trying to keep them away.

Strategically the Israelis do not covet conventional military victory over the Palestinians, because that would be pointless. The Israelis only want to keep the Palestinians contained, to prevent them from inundating Israel with a flood of desperate people, and to limit their numbers by limiting their access to food and other resources (Check out Cixin Liu’s book “Death’s End” for another view of limiting populations via limited food).

The Israelis are many things, but stupid is not one of them. In my opinion, they continue to achieve their objectives.

Many Jews seem utterly unaware of just how dangerous Judaism really is, let alone Zionazism.

Most Jews are terrorized by their elders in their youth. Their brains are altered to the point that they falsely believe that all of humanity wants to kill them. This is a frightful thing to a young immature mind. This traumatic fear is there subliminally for their entire life. Few Jews can overcome their upbringing. When they reach adulthood, any criticism of Jews, generates an automatic fear mechanism. They can never see the wrong done by Israel. Whatever wrong done by Israel, is justified as a defense of the tribe.

“In strategic terms, Israel sustained a significant blow. Hamas has not been vanquished, its top leadership remains alive, and the organization continued firing rockets at Israel until the very last minute. Most importantly, it positioned itself successfully as the ultimate defender of Al-Aqsa and the other Jerusalem sites holy to Islam, embarrassed Israel, disrupted the Jerusalem Day celebrations marking the city’s unification under Israeli rule, sent lawmakers fleeing for cover in the middle of a Knesset session, set fire to relations between Israel’s Arab and Jewish citizens and escalated Palestinian anti-Israel violence in the West Bank. Not a bad haul for 10 days of asymmetrical fighting.” Ben Caspit for Al-Monitor

I have lived in dictatorships and I can assure you that none of that happens for “no reason”. There is always a reason. And in democracies that can happen for similar reasons like in dictatorships: going against those in power. USA imprisons more people per capita than any country in the world, far more than many dictatorships. USA even imprisons and kidnaps foreign citizens who have never set foot in USA for alleged crimes against USA which many dictatorships haven’t done. And the worst of it is that USA has killed many people throughout the world under the guise of spreading democracy when the real motives were plunder and rapine, if not for plain sadistic joy to murder and torture people who never had a chance of harming USA just to be able to play the big bully in the global schoolyard.

Your suggestion is an opportunity or an advantage for Israel, not a problem.

Egypt solved its Muslim Terrorist Brotherhood problem by getting rid of Morsi. Currently, Egypt merely dislikes Hamas as an Iranian proxy force. Hamas switching sides and becoming a proxy for the Muslim Terrorist Brotherhood would be a serious threat to Egypt. Terrorist Brothers would point their rockets at Cairo to take vengeance Morsi.

Erdogan’s AK Party has ties to the Muslim Terrorist Brotherhood. Perhaps the Hamas plan is serving him? If so, that is quite a reach. Erdogan is picking other fights such as Libya. Israel, Cyprus, Greece, and Italy are forming a credible military alliance to protect the EastMed pipeline from Turkish aggression. Allying with the Muslim Terrorist Brotherhood would increase the quantity and quality of forces deployed to contain the Hamas threat.

This reminds me of the way Americans talk about Black people. Like they are so dumb they all vote together and cannot get organized enough to get voter ID cards.

Please. Arab Muslims are not going to continue to go backwards. Most Muslims know full well the dark side of the Muslim Brotherhood and its call for death to all infidels, destruction of the west and the fight to have an Islamic caliphate ruling the planet, the entire planet. As a group they are very unpopular. Don’t forget how they thru Fatah policmen off the roofs of buildings when they won the 2006 election.

You can fool the dopes on this website by thinking that it is all about the Jews. But students of Islam and the Muslim Brotherhood, who have read Sayyid Qtub, know these Jihadist. Israel and the Jews are the first stop not the last. The Muslim Brotherhood are the mentors of Bin Laden.

Muslims are tired of sectarian violence and want to move forward with peace and prosperity, especially with Israel. They need Jewish start up know how and Jewish bankers to raise money for infrastructure etc. The Muslims need Jewish help. The worlds supper powers know it. China and Russia need Israeli technology and cyber defense network. Israel has become a vital country for the good of the region and geography of the ME. The Muslim Brotherhood is an ass backwards ideology full of Jihadist retards. You are over romanticizing the situation. Most Muslims are willing to accept Israel as a Jewish state. The Jihadis camp is small and vocal.

Those who think that Hamas won are too stupid to talk to. Hamas is a nasty piece of work. They run Gaza with an iron fist. Most Gazan’s would get rid of Hamas in a NY minute. They hate them. They are scratching their heads looking at the destruction and asking WTF was this about?

I will agree that the axis of resistance. Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran are formidable foes. If they all attacked Israel at once in a coordinated way it could very well mean defeat. It could also mean the end of the Axis of Resistance. Israel has super technology and cyber weapons. I cannot believe they have not prepared for an all out war. The cost in Israeli lives would be staggering, but they would sacrifice to live.

The axis of Resistance keeps calling for the dismantling of Israel, and refuses to accept it as a Jewish state. Horrific wars will follow. Israel is not going to go quietly in the night. That is really what this is all about the survival of the Jewish state. It has nothing to do with the Palestinians. Nothing.

    Wiz,

You leave a long trail of comments on this site, posing as someone “in the know” about global affairs, asking Gilad Atzmon what you consider a pithy question which by its very framing denigrates two nations that you despise and fear, and yet you respond to my reply about “the deal between Iran and China” with ignorance, asking me to elaborate on what I’m talking about. So I did a little experiment. I put “China Iran deal” in a search engine. The results were remarkable, and I was left wondering what is wrong with you. It’s the old question of the Jew, one that we have heard through the ages, from Hitler to Herve Ryssen today: “Is he making fun of me, or is he serious and he actually believes what he is saying?” In your case, I wondered, “Does he really know nothing about this deal, which was widely reported, even in the mainstream media, or has his selective memory chosen to memory hole it, leaving him genuinely ignorant about a significant global development. For I find it incredibly hard to believe that you have not heard of the Iran-China 25-year Cooperation Program, signed March 27, 2021. Although the final details have yet to be hammered out, we get a pretty clear picture of what this deal entails, namely China investing US\$400 billion dollars in Iran’s economy over 25 years in exchange for a reliable, discounted supply of oil. The Chinese investments will range from gas, oil and petrochemical sectors, transportation infrastructure (high-speed rail, ports, highways), industrial infrastructure (industrial parks) and communications (5-G). This significant agreement leads me to believe that Iran’s economy and middle class will benefit from these massive investments, which will cause more tooth decay to the wild US sanctions against Iran. Due to its geographical location as a centerpoint of both the north/south and east/west components of the future BRI and integration of Eurasia, Iran will become a more and more important player in the region. I guess that makes people like you upset, as you would have them oppressed forever and held down until they agreed to make nice with Israel. Not happening, Wiz, for these people have a number of attributes not found in the Jews of Israel, among them integrity, honesty, and faith.

    Gil,

If your hypothetical “unity” exists, why are Fatah & Hamas supporters fighting each other? (1)

A physical confrontation broke out Sunday evening between Hamas supporters and their Fatah adversaries on the Temple Mount outside of the al-Aqsa mosque.

The incident was the latest in a series of clashes between supporters of the two political factions, as support for Hamas continues to grow in the traditionally Fatah dominant area of east Jerusalem.

Many believe that Hamas intentionally incited riots and violence at al-Aqsa mosque and across East Jerusalem over Ramadan, which eventually led to the 12-day IDF operation in the Gaza Strip, known as Operation Guardian of the Walls. Hamas’ operation, in which they and allied terror groups shot over 4,000 rockets from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory, was known as the “The Sword of Jerusalem.”

The Hamas attempt to exploit al’Aqsa for political gain appears to have backfired. What little unity existed has been shredded by Hamas.

Just the way Communists always complain that their system does not work because no one really follows the script, people like you who are obsessed with democracy seem to think that it will work in a poor 3rd world country – when it does not work in the West.

There is no question about it. A benevolent dictatorship is vastly better than the current fake democracies in the UK, France, Germany, the USA, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Greece, Australia, New Zealand etc.

A benevolent dictator would not hand over real power to the Jews and bankers. That is why the Chinese model works so well for China. But I am not proposing it for other countries. Each country must try to find its own solution. The only thing that is patently clear is that representative democracy is a sham. Direct democracy is far better – but it can also be gamed by special interests as we can see in Switzerland.
