Plainly corporations can use corporate money to do whatever they want, so long as they do it independently. One of the potentially insidious things about Big Tech is that they don’t necessarily provide the same experience to each user. For example, they are always testing out different algorithms and features on samples of users and comparing the results they get.

This is usually just plain old market testing. But it also shows that– should they wish to — they could flag certain users (by race, political affiliation, past search history, whether they live in a swing state, etc.) and redirect their search results according to a different algorithm.

I have also had weird things happen that don’t apply to other people. For example, as I speak I can’t get to Bitchute on my computer because it comes up as a blocked site, but I never blocked it and it’s not even listed as a blocked site (nothing is on the block list in fact). Yet it’s still blocked. I feel like I am being gaslighted.

I can’t know what they are doing behind the scenes — but that’s the problem, nobody knows. One of her critics posted a sample of Tulsi’s voting record. Of special interest to me, in June of 2014 she voted against an amendment introduced be Jeff Fortenberry (NE-R) – H Amdt 917 – Prohibits United States from Providing Weapons in Syria. The following year, in November of 2015, she introduced the first version of her Stop Arming Terrorists Act.

What gives? Does this represent a change in heart, a growth in knowledge? Was there something in the fine print in 2014 that I don’t understand? Although it failed, Fortenberry’s Amdt. got 167 ayes, and an earlier vote to prohibit “manpads” to Syria succeeded. OTOH, Tulsi’s bill has only managed about a dozen co-sponsors.

Tulsi not only voted against BDS, she’s previously voted (more or less) against criticism of Israel. I still want her in the debates, for sure, but she’s making total support very difficult.
