S Koreans are certainly not asking US to fight N Korea. S. Korea wants US presence as a leverage not just against N. Korea but Japan and China. If US pulls out of S. Korea(and Japan as well), Korea will be sandwiched between the military power of Chian and Japan.

At any rate, S. Korea doesn’t want any active role of US. It wants US to be there to keep the peace. Even when N. Korea was close to getting nukes, S. Korea didn’t ask US to hit N. Korea.
If anything, it’s been US that’s been calling for rise in tensions in the area by calling for more joint exercises. S. Korea wants US to be in the neighborhood but not to stir up trouble. That is the difference between S. Korea and Israel. S. Korea wants US presence to keep the peace and balance. Israel wants US in Middle East to turn Muslim nations into hell holes that cannot regain stability and unity to challenge Israel. Israel wants US presence in the Middle East for warmongering. Israel is the superpower in the Middle East whereas S. Korea knows it is a tiny power in Asia except in some areas of economics.

In order for South Korea to play this role, it has to be divided from the north. If reunification becomes possible, much of South Korean resources will go to revived nationalism, and that will undermine South Korean globalist craze. Also, Jews who run the US know that Koreans are capable. Not original or brilliant but capable enough. Even poor and hungry North Korea could build the Bomb. You’ve got it backwards. “Implicitly white” is not a rough synonym for “undercover white-power movement.” It is the exact opposite of an undercover white-power movement. An undercover white power movement would pursue the actual interests of whites while pantomiming, to everyone, a pro-multicult message. An implicitly white GOP would pursue interests opposed to whites while dog-whistling to whites. The GOP is very obviously the latter.

Steve Sailer says they draw on whites for support, but not that whites as such get anything out of it. So conservatism is not a undercover white power movement, and Sailer never said otherwise.

Steve Sailer has also noted that the Democrats draw on blacks for support and that blacks in general don’t get anything out of it. But he says that the Democratic Party is the “black party” and is or at least includes an implicitly black movement.

Sailer and other conservative and right-wing commentators have argued similarly with respect to the GOP and whites. Furthermore, many of the GOP voters who now support Trump have believed in this, and GOP strategists going back to Nixon’s Southern strategy have cultivated this belief.

Insiders and special interests have ended being benefited and served rather than the broader group because that’s in the nature of politics.

Nor is it supported by white people in general, only a very small specific sub-set(rich whites). As to why lower class whites support the GOP, it has to do with the Democrats abandoning the white working and middle-class under the Clinton regime(see What’s the Matter with Kansas) and switching over to minorities as their base. It was a result of him signing into law NAFTA and PNTR for China which the administration knew was a massive job killer for whites across the rust-belt and mid-West. That flipped a lot of states from blue to red.

With the Democratic party no longer representing whites economic or social interests they migrated to the GOP because at least they mouthed concern about social issues they considered important. As long as the GOP made efforts to protect their social issues, the lower class whites would back the GOP, even though it was not in their economic interests to do so. Bluntly put the GOP was slowly killing the white working and middle-class with it’s business and trade policies.

Eventually the oligarch run GOP ceased even paying lip service to the base’s social issues and started running candidates that no one liked and eventually culminated in a war against the Tea Party for trying to get a voice in the party at large. The last straw was the total sell out by Boehner and Bug eye McConnell on Obama’s open borders initiative and mass amnesty.

When you consider whites are the majority, there was an obvious limit to what a party based on black support could achieve. You need a major update in your chronology.

Before I take it back into what I took exception to in the article, lets break it down; your “cultivating the impression” implies a simple con trick that ran for decades before it was rumbled. Yglasias’s characterisation of a possible option to become an “explicit vehicle for white interests in an increasingly diverse society”, is quite different inasmuch as it implied that the party’s current activities were for whites as such.

Middle East wars and holding down of pay and conditions in the US might reasonably be objected to by anyone currently in the US, including people in the South who happen to be white, such as Thurmond’s son, who denounced the Confederate flag recently.

Other than a lust for their own power I cannot find anything that NRO or the GOP believes in (with a very few exceptions, Jeff Sessions, e.g.). The Democrats, on the other hand, are in tune with Mao’s Cultural Revolution and are convinced they can tear down society to witness a hundred flowers blossom.
