The Trump administration, desperate for some good news, just manufactured its own news by confecting a ‘peace’ deal between Israel and a bunch of pipsqueak Arab monarchies – just in time for November US elections.

The Gulf monarchies – the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain – that signed this agreement are so frightened of neighboring Iran that they would happily have opted for Israeli rule rather than welcome the angry, unforgiving Iranians, who call the Gulf Arabs ‘traitors, cowards and backstabbers,’ a sentiment shared by much of the Arab world.

Few Americans could find these little sheikdoms on a map. But many evangelical voters, who have a comic-book view of the Mideast, will think the Trump administration has achieved a major feat by supposedly bringing peace to the Holy Land. Cynics, among them many Israelis, will likely scoff at such falafel in the sky thinking. Oman is expected to sign the new accord.

Israel remains intent on expanding its borders to gobble up all of what was historic Palestine and its water resources. Five million Palestinians will remain stateless. Israel also has its eye on fertile parts of Syria and Lebanon.

As I suggested in my book on Mideast strategy, ‘American Raj,’ the key beneficiaries of any Arab-Israeli peace deal would be Israel’s bankers, businessmen and arms makers. If a decent peace deal can be made with the Palestinians, the doors of the entire Muslim world (a fifth of humanity) will be opened to Israel’s commerce and finance. This will be a huge bonanza worth orders of magnitude more than the West Bank’s scrubby slopes.

But to do so, Israel’s hard right and religious extremists will have to lessen their demands for Arab land and water – that is, what they term, Greater Israel. Just as difficult and obdurate will be Trump’s evangelical core voters who want to see a mythical Biblical Israel recreated, paving the way for the return of the Messiah and earth’s fiery destruction.

The United Arab Emirates, population just under 10 million, is only 10% Arab. The rest of its people are mainly Indians and Pakistani coolies, giving rise to the old bon mot that Dubai and Abu Dhabi are the world’s best Indian-run cities.

Non-Arab members of the UAE are treated like slaves. They are paid a pittance, poorly fed, and live in squalor. Non-Arabs have no rights. Arab citizens don’t have any rights either, just a better standard of living.

I remember these tiny city states from the early 1970’s when I worked for a leading US firm that smuggled high-end cosmetics and perfumes into India, Pakistan and the USSR via Dubai’s busy port.

Back in the day, Britain’s intelligence agency, MI6, controlled Oman and its royal rulers. Similarly, the CIA today exercises great influence over Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Jordan, not to mention Egypt and Morocco. Tiny Qatar maintains a degree of independence in the face of Saudi threats and efforts by the Trump people to crush it.

ORDER IT NOW

The big Mideast deal ballyhooed by Trump and Co. is in reality a phony peace between secretly allied Gulf States and Israel. They have been playing footsie for over a decade. It is not primarily about peace but about Iran and arms sales to the Gulf States and Saudi Arabia that they have no idea how to use. Weapons sales are a protection payoff to Washington, which has important bases in Qatar, the UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Israel.

What next? Will Trump declare a trans-Pacific alliance between Tonga and the US to ‘contain’ China?

As for peace in the Mideast, recall the biting words of Roman historian Tacitus, ‘where they make a desert they call it peace.’ That is what awaits over five million Palestinian refugees, not a new dawn promised by the Trump administration.

Eric Margolis continues his instinctual Jewish liberal shilling for his brethren. Grant Smith recently laid to rest the corrupt-liberal myth that Christian Zionists have any the power: “The claim that US Christian Zionists are “the largest Israel lobby” is a canard now so commonplace that it appears within the first paragraph of Wikipedia’s page on the “Israel lobby in the United States.” But are Christian Zionists really the largest Israel lobby? That all depends on your definition of “large,” “lobby” and beliefs about how policy is actually made. A look at a key set of lobbying numbers indicates Christian Zionists are not major lobby players. They could disappear tomorrow and the US Israel lobbying engine would not even sputter.” https://original.antiwar.com/smith-grant/2020/09/15/are-christian-zionists-the-largest-pro-israel-lobby/

Most Arabs live under totalitarian rule. Wahhabis are the bodyguards of totalitarian Islam. Totalitarian Zionists and totalitarian Islamist leaders getting in bed with each other is hardly surprising (they’ve been in bed together since the joint Saudi-Israel 9/11 inside job), and something that should not be dismissed as a joke. Zionists and Islamists entering into a pact for a Jewish-Arab race war against Persians, which may well spread to a Jewish-Arab race war against Asians — with Uncle Sam getting dragged in by the Jewish fifth columns — is a real possibility.

And who will be to blame if that happens? “Liberal” and neocon diaspora Jews, who have shilled for their tribe for so long that Judeofascism was able to smuggle itself right into the highest seats of power. Why did they do it? Because they genuinely and messianically believe that they’re “chosen,” because that’s the supremacist, ethno-religious brainwashing culture they grew up in.

Eric you forgot to mention Trumps draft dodging. The TDS facade is so hard to maintain, sheesh. And of course your service to the military, I’ve come to expect more from you & your self righteous scribble. There was a time I thought you had something useful to add to the conversation but you’ve pretty much turned into another partisan hack.

Israel remains intent on expanding its borders to gobble up all of what was historic Palestine and its water resources. Five million Palestinians will remain stateless. Israel also has its eye on fertile parts of Syria and Lebanon

Israel aims to destroy, gobble up and or Balkanize the existing countries around it, those of the ancient Fertile Crescent. This does not cancel their plan for Kushner ‘PEACE’ which is another MIGA (Make Israel Greater Again).

The desert oil sheikhdoms in the Persian Gulf demarcated by the East India Company (and their famous British Intel operatives of past glory) continue to quietly manage them to this day on behalf of the same City of London banking families. Zio- expansionist Israel since going nuke crazy as displayed by the recent Beirut blast and other mini events according to Veterans Today, is not in need of reaching real peace deals with the Arabs, but only making them Vassals and Dependencies ala paradigms of the colonial past.

These countries have fallen into these categories pretty much, except for a few hold outs: Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Iraq, Yemen etc. which are being brought into submission the hard way.

One correction for E.M, the number of Palestinians that are dispossessed or occupied is commonly stated in the M.E as upwards of 14 million, not 5 million.

Agreed that this Peace Deal is just Street Comedy Theatre pulled out for the election run up. These countries were never adversaries of war in the first place.

Secondly, with regard the Gulf System for foreign workers, Indian and others in the Gulf countries, labor and professional, are also pretty much how Palestinian workers in their own country are treated and used by Israeli masters and companies. This is probably to become the new world norm in coming years as the world economy re-structures into a few haves and many have nots, add a few cosmetic improvements.

E.M’s . comments above and below basically cancel out each other.

You’ve stumbled upon the bipolar nature of the Jews, as epitomized by Israel. Their insatiable greed half wants all the smash and grab loot that comes from their criminal gangster enterprise, but they also want to be universally recognized as the morally sublime “chosen,” and gain the moral authority to maintain their privileged “commerce and finance” status as Empire’s bankers.

Margolis knows the Jews are bipolar (after all, he’s one himself), and he’s trying to entice them back toward their privileged, “civilized” half with promises of banker’s loot.

But he also knows that Jewish bankers financed the Bolsheviks, and that they’re responsible for the deaths of millions of Europeans and Russians in WW1 and WW2, and also that they’re responsible for millions of murdered and displaced Arabs, given the decisive role that the “Israel lobby” (Jewish fifth columns) played in instigating the Iraq War and the War on Terror from America.

So somehow, in the logical universe that makes sense only to a bipolar Jew, he imagines that the Jewish bankers will be LESS dangerous operating out of Israel than they were operating out of America and Europe in the 20th Century. But deep down, he’s got to know that they won’t be.

The Jews in control of commerce and finance across the Mideast AND Europe AND North America will mean endless war and utter ruin for the non-“chosen” the world over.

Margolis, like all brainwashed Jews, is living in an insane fantasy world that floats upon oceans of blood and mass murder.

  9. The ‘peace deal’ was about getting Israeli bombers and missiles in close to Iran across the Gulf. They’ll be about 80-100 miles out. And Israel won’t give two shits about closing the Strait of Hormuz to do their deeds. I suspect Iran is going to have a say in the outcome, like leveling all of Greater Israel.

And Jews will have a new Holocaust to scream about afterward. It would be worth the sacrifice of Israel by Iranian missiles to them. If it was worth the destruction of 6 million Jews in Germany to push a war, this here is a slam-dunk.

    Peace deal indeed.

Margolis isn’t shilling for Israel, he’s shilling for international Zionism. Israel is merely a current tentacle, but future planned headquarters.

Is there malevolence in his Jewish shilling? Is their malevolence in the brainwashed and bipolar?

At some point, the brainwashed and bipolar belong in prison — at the point that their systematically induced mental illness coerces them into criminal behavior for the organization.

At some point the hierarchy of the organization that induced their mental illness to serve its own greed, power madness, megalomania, and ambition belongs in prison — at the point where that organization commits crimes against humanity.

International Zionism is far past that point.

How could the one million Arab inhabitants of British Palestine in 1948 become 14 million people today? More fantasizing about “the Middle East” by jealous and weak onlookers.

Nobody cares because it is ALL 100% NONSENSE. “Palestinian” was a joke invented in the old USSR for some unknown reason, then promoted by the UN and various “international” groups.

Even Arabs aren’t buying it anymore.
