One of the main Jewish preoccupations is worrying about going out of existence. Following in the footsteps of Alan Dershowitz, who wrote The Vanishing American Jew 26 years ago, Dominic Green wrote in The Jewish Chronicle that “Suddenly, everywhere you look, Jews are disappearing.”[1]https://www.thejc.com/lets-talk/all/american-jews-no...rp2P7w As one proof of his claim, Green states that under Biden the percentage of Jewish judicial appointees has dropped from the historic norm of 20 percent to 8 to 9 percent.[2]https://www.thejc.com/lets-talk/all/american-jews-no...rp2P7w In his rush to tell us that the sky is falling, Green neglected to tell us that in controlling 20 percent of the judiciary, the Jews are massively over represented in how the laws of this country get enforced. Ignoring the fact that Jews make up only 2 percent of the population, Green, more importantly, claims that Jews are disappearing from “the upper echelons” at the very moment when the Biden West Wing has enough Jews to constitute a minyan, the number of Jews required to hold a prayer service at a synagogue. As Jason Kornbluh pointed out in the Forward:
As President-elect Joe Biden announced his picks for the Cabinet, the joke went around on Jewish Twitter that the West Wing would have a minyan. Indeed, at least 10 prominent Jews have been nominated to key positions. Shortly after Biden’s inauguration, the Virtual Jewish Library published a list of 46 Jews in the Biden Administration, making it clear that there were enough Jews in the Biden Administration to form an entire congregation.[4]https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jews-in-the-bid...ration At the top of the list we find, Janet Yellen, Secretary of the Treasury, Anthony Blinken, Secretary of State, Merrick Garland, Attorney General, and Alejandro Mayorkas, who is Secretary for Homeland Security. Mayorkas’s main qualification for the job is being Jewish. His main achievement in office is being incapable of preventing illegal aliens from crossing our Southern border.
Pete Buttigieg is not Jewish, but as Secretary of Transportation, he is the recipient of Jewish Privilege as the Biden administration’s homosexual affirmative action hire, but equally incompetent. During his time in office, Pete posted numerous pictures of the two children he purchased, including one in a hospital bed, from which he announced that he was going on paternity leave, but perhaps because he was missing in action at that moment, he showed himself incapable of solving the supply chain crisis. He also can’t prevent the airlines from gouging passengers for baggage fees or trains from derailing in Ohio because he is too busy being gay and taking care of the sick children he acquired through human trafficking. Buttigieg’s partner tweeted a heart-warming picture of Pete with one of those unfortunate children on his lap in a hospital room explaining how much he loved them without explaining why, if he really loved them, he felt the need to deprive those children of the mother who should be taking care of them. Pete has Jewish privilege because he is a homosexual. He also shares the Jewish view on abortion because he feels that life begins when the child takes its first breath.
In addition to being Jewish, the above-mentioned cabinet members share other characteristics. All have had their pictures taken with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky at a crucial moment when they should have been attending to their duties at home, where a series of crises which they had not anticipated and could not solve broke out in their absence. All of them have shown themselves incompetent when it comes to performing the duties they were appointed to perform.
The story of Jewish incompetence in the Biden administration began when Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri interrogated Garland about how the law gets enforced at the Justice Department. Following Senator Cruz, who got no answer to his question about whether Garland intended to prosecute arsonists who burned down pregnancy counseling centers, Hawley made it clear that Garland was using the FBI to prosecute prolife Catholics. Unfortunately, he never established Garland’s motivation because he was unwilling to identify him as a Jew who felt that abortion was a fundamental Jewish value. This also explains why Garland did not arrest Antifa terrorists who were the prime suspects in the firebombing of prolife centers. Antifa is a Jewish organization, and as such it has Jewish Privilege, which insures immunity from prosecution when a Jew is America’s chief law enforcement official. Shortly after Garland’s testimony about an SPLC hit list describing Latin Mass Catholics as domestic terrorists showed up in the Richmond, Virginia office of the FBI, an SPLC lawyer was arrested as part of an Antifa attack on the Cop City construction site in Atlanta. Garland disavowed the memo but showed no inclination to investigate the SPLC as a Jewish domestic terrorist organization.
Instead of taking Hawley’s criticism to heart and looking into the problem of selective law enforcement at the Justice Department, Garland flew off to the Ukraine two days after being grilled by Senator Hawley to confer with fellow Jew Zelensky on how they could create Nuremberg War Crimes Tribunals for the Russians.[5]https://www.nytimes.com/2023/03/03/world/europe/merr...y.html Incapable of enforcing the law evenhandedly in America, the Attorney General has decided to impose it on Russians. And what qualifies him to take on this role? Wait, didn’t the Russians liberate Auschwitz? The only thing which explains why the Attorney General is in a country half-way around the world, where he is acting as a surrogate secretary of state, is Jewish solidarity and Jewish dedication to spreading their revolutionary spirit at the expense of the natives, who, in the case of the Ukraine, had their own bitter experiences with Jews like Lazar Kaganovich, who starved millions of Ukrainians to death during the 1930s.
Like his colleague at the Justice Department, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken recently demonstrated an equally uncanny ability to be at the wrong place at the wrong time while using the offices of the federal government to pursue Jewish fantasies instead of doing the job he was appointed to do. On the same day in which China pulled off the diplomatic coup of the decade by brokering a peace deal between Saudi Arabia and Iran, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken gave the State Department’s woman of the year award to a man from Argentina. As Michael Tracey pointed out, “In keeping with his staunch opposition to negotiating with Saddam in 2002, Blinken has a pattern of canceling diplomatic meetings and cutting off negotiations at important moments. Curious behavior for someone whose job is allegedly to be America’s top diplomat.”[7]https://twitter.com/mtracey/status/1628152666189602817 Blinken’s main characteristic as America’s chief diplomat is his insistence on breaking off negotiations. He does this because he is logos deficient, a characteristic of Jews who begin every discussion by announcing that they have relatives who have died in the Holocaust. Blinken’s meeting with Sergey Lavrov at the G 20 conference began with Blinken issuing ultimatums, unlike his meeting with Zelensky a year before, which showed that Blinken is only comfortable talking to fellow Jews. A little over a week before Blinken gave the woman of the year award to a man from Argentina, Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen exhibited the same sort of behavior. On February 27, Yellen met with Vladimir Zelensky to announce that the United States was giving the Ukraine “another $1.25 billion in economic support”[9]https://thehill.com/policy/international/3875840-yel...ensky/ at the very moment that Israeli computer criminals were siphoning funds from the soon to go bust Silicon Valley Bank to banks in Israel. Neither Yellen, nor Garland, the man responsible for prosecuting financial crimes, did anything to stop two of Israel’s banks engaging in criminal activity which contributed to the second biggest bank failure in American history. The Times of Israel reported that:
Israel’s two largest banks, Bank Leuimi and Bank Hapoalim, set up a situation room that has been operating around the clock to help firms transfer money from SVB—before it was seized—to accounts in Israel. Yellen’s meeting with Zelensky drew attention away from the role her incompetence as Treasury Secretary in setting off a series of bank failures. After Yellen raised interest rates to fight inflation, inadvertently devaluing previous government long term bonds, she set into motion a chain of bank failures beginning with Silicon Valley Bank. During her trip to Kiev, Yellen highlighted “U.S. and Western actions to impose sanctions against Russia, which are meant to weaken its defense industry and constrain its economy.”[11]https://thehill.com/policy/international/3875840-yel...ensky/ Missing from this account is the fact that the economic sanctions which Yellen’s Treasury Department imposed on Russia have brought about the exact opposite of what the Biden Administration intended. One year into the war, Russia’s economy is booming while banks are failing in America. “Mr. Putin is counting on our global coalition’s resolve to wane, which he thinks will give him the upper hand in the war,” Yellen said in her New York Times op-ed. “But he is wrong. As President Biden said here last week, America will stand with Ukraine for as long as it takes.”
By now it should be obvious that President Biden will support every initiative proposed by his Jewish cabinet members. The big question, however, is who represents American interests at the Treasury? A little over a week after her return to Washington, the economy started to go sideways when the Silicon Valley Bank closed its doors, creating collateral bank failures and a run on the nation’s banks, but, as if to compensate for that failing, Yellen and her Jewish colleagues have shown themselves even more zealous in promoting Jewish projects like the war in the Ukraine.
Yellen, however, wasn’t simply guilty of neglect, she did nothing to discourage the Fed from raising interest raising interest rates to fight inflation. That changed during Yellen’s tenure at the Treasury Department when the Fed raised interest rates from 1.75 to between 3.5 and 5 percent, a move which devalued banks’ main source of capital, which was government bonds. The Fed’s attempt to fight inflation by raising interest rates brought about $15 billion in “unrealized losses”[13]https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/simon-black-unrave...nstant in SVB’s government bond portfolio, which effectively wiped out all but $1 billion of the $16 billion the bank had in total capital. The other billion was stolen by Jewish crooks in Israel. There was no oversight; and there will probably be no prosecutions because Merrick Garland won’t prosecute Jews, and SVB was a Jewish-run bank. We have here a seamless network of Jews covering for Jewish interests. Jim Cramer, the Jewish stock analyst for CNN, pumped SVB stock as a good investment shortly before the company went belly up but after the Jewish CEO and other cronies got their money out by paying themselves big bonuses. In responding to questions from the press, Yellen failed to mention the Jews who paid themselves big bonuses or the Israelis who moved $1 billion in assets into banks in Israel. Instead of taking measures which would have headed off the collapse of SVB, Yellen announced that she was “transferring $1.5 billion dollars to Kiev.”[15]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRCXkHImtTM This amount was in addition to the $77 billion the Biden administration had already given to the most corrupt government in Europe. In addition to that the Ukraine needs another $40 billion to support its economy. Zelensky needs these emergency funds because the war was supposed to end in a matter of weeks after the sanctions imposed by the Treasury Department wrecked the Russian economy. That never happened. In fact, the opposite happened. The sanctions wrecked the economies of every member of NATO.
The Office of Foreign Assets Control, better known as the sanctions office at the Treasury Department has always been a Jewish operation. By the time Janet Yellen visited the Ukraine to hand over a billion dollars to fellow Jew Zelensky, the sanctions office had placed over 40 percent of the world’s population under sanctions and was one of the main agencies driving the world to come up with an alternative to the dollar as the world’s reserve currency. Exhibiting a deadly combination of arrogance and incompetence, Yellen has collaborated with Blinken in turning their respective departments into a massive ATM machine whose main beneficiary is the Jew Zelensky and whose hidden grammar is the Holocaust. An important figure in this regard is Stuart Eizenstat, who is now listed as the Biden Administration’s “Special Adviser on Holocaust Issues.”[16]https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jews-in-the-bid...ration During the 1990s, Eizenstat used the Sanctions Office of the Treasury Department to launch the Jewish looting of Swiss banks now known as the “Nazi Gold” caper.
On December 11, 1996, then Under Secretary of Commerce Stuart Eizenstat testified before the House Banking and Financial Services Committee in Washington, DC.[17] “Holocaust Assets,” U.S. Department of State Archive, released online prior to Jan. 20, 2001, https://1997-2001.state.gov/regions/eur/961219eizen.html Eizenstat claimed that “many injustices from World War II have gone unresolved for more than 50 years,” knowing full well that the Swiss had already negotiated a settlement of outstanding claims after the war. He then acknowledged that he was collaborating with representatives of the World Jewish Congress, who were working under the “leadership, tenacity, and energy” of New York Senator Alphonse D’Amato. As soon as the issue was termed “Nazi assets,” the Holocaust narrative, then at its apogee because of Schindler’s List, insured that the outcome of the investigation was a foregone conclusion. The Swiss were understandably outraged at what amounted to an act of war attacking their most important institution. Swiss Ambassador Carlo Jagmetti called the Nazi gold looting operation “a war which Switzerland must conduct on the foreign and domestic front, and must win.”[19] Eskin, A Life In Pieces, p. 132. Switzerland’s economics minister Jean-Pascal Delamuraz claimed that any restitution fund “was tantamount to Switzerland admitting its guilt” and described the tactics of American Jews like Eizenstat as “nothing less than extortion and blackmail” whose ultimate goal was to “destabilize and compromise Switzerland.”[20] Eskin, A Life In Pieces, p. 133. The Swiss counter-attack failed, however, because no one in Switzerland could identify the “Nazi Gold” caper as a Jewish operation. After he wondered aloud whether “Auschwitz is in Switzerland,” Delamuraz was forced to apologize, and eventually Swiss resistance collapsed, but not before Delamuraz warned the Jews that their tactics would stir up anti-Semitism. Eskin claims that the threat became a reality when “a letter writer in a Lausanne newspaper called Senator D’Amato ‘the ideal attorney for the American Jews, whose omnipotence in the USA is well known.’”[21] Eskin, A Life In Pieces, p. 134.
Binyamin Wilkomirski’s faux memoir Fragments played a crucial role in the looting of Swiss banks that Eizenstat and the WJC had orchestrated. As some indication of the connection, “the first payments” out of the $70 million “charitable fund” established by the settlement “went to poor Jewish survivors in Riga,”[22] Eskin, A Life In Pieces, p. 134. the town in Latvia that Wilkomirski was claiming as his birthplace.
Wilkomirski’s memoir appeared to universal acclaim in 1995, one year after the creation of the Shoah Foundation and two years after the premier of Schindler’s List. Harvard professor Daniel Jonah Goldhagen would later have credibility problems of his own, but as “one of the first critics to testify to its importance,” he claimed that “even those conversant with the literature of the Holocaust will be educated by this arresting book.”[23] Franklin, A Thousand Darknesses, p. 1. Goldhagen’s glowing review typified the “fawning” initial responses to Fragments. In his analysis of what would come to be known as the Wilkomirski hoax, Blake Eskin claims in his understated way that: “Binjamin Wilkomirski was taken very seriously.” But it would be hard to overstate the acclaim which surrounded his book:
The Jewish Book Council gave Fragments its 1996 National Jewish Book Award for Autobiography/Memoir. The book received similar prizes on the other side of the Atlantic: the Prix Memoire de la Shoah in France, the Jewish Quarterly Literary Prize in England. Professors of Holocaust courses added Fragments to their syllabi, school groups in Zurich and organizations abroad invited Binjamin to speak. Rosie O’Donnell held up a copy of Fragments and recommended it to the viewers of her daytime television show. The BBC invited Binjamin to be the celebrity guest on the classical-music show Private Passions, and he chose the hour’s playlist: the scherzo from Mahler’s First Symphony, an aria from The Magic Flute, a track from Songs of the Ghetto: A Jewish Child of Poland performed by Sarah Gorby. As the world’s most famous post-Schindler’s List Holocaust survivor, Wilkomirski had inherited the Jewish predilection for chutzpah, which allowed him to denounce other Holocaust profiteers as frauds, a privilege he exercised when Swedish poet Barbro Karlen came to Switzerland to promote a memoir in which she claimed to be Anne Frank reincarnate. “It is a fraud in a moral sense,” he told a Swiss newspaper, adding that the blame lay not with her but with the people making money off her. Karlen, he continued, “is simply disturbed.”[25] Eskin, A Life In Pieces, p. 69
In the Washington Times, Arnost Lustig, himself a survivor and author, wrote, “It makes you feel, perceive and understand and, in so doing, makes you spiritually richer. The book is destined to become one of the five or so lasting books about the Holocaust.” Lustig was hardly alone in elevating Fragments to the top shelf of Holocaust literature. One British critic placed Fragments above the memoirs of Bruno Bettelheim and Primo Levi in terms of its emotional power; several reviewers mentioned it in the same breath as Elie Wiesel’s Night . . . . Jonathan Kozol, known for his compassionate writing about underprivileged children, wrote in The Nation that Fragments was “so profoundly moving, so morally important and so free from literary artifice of any kind at all that wondered if I even had the right to try to offer praise.” Schocken [Books]put Kozol’s quote on the back cover of the paperback edition.[26] Eskin, A Life In Pieces, p. 33-4.
Notre Dame University climbed onto the Wilkomirski bandwagon in April 1998 when Rabbi Michael Signer, then Abrams Professor of Jewish Thought and Culture, persuaded Wilkomirski to speak at a conference there. Signer’s wife Betty:
spent six months pursuing the author of Fragments before he finally committed to coming. “He is a very big name now in terms of his book and writing,” she boasted to a campus newspaper. Binjamin represented the conference’s mission to highlight the increasing consideration accorded to survivor memory in Holocaust studies. “Statistics don’t adequately represent what happened,” Rabbi Michael Signer told the South Bend Tribune. Many of the distinguished participants were themselves survivors or refugees, but none of them would embody humanity at the limit better than Binjamin Wilkomirski, who “received a nearly unanimous standing ovation from his international and interdisciplinary audience at Notre Dame.”[27] Eskin, A Life In Pieces, p. 81
Not all historians were happy with the shift to memory and therapy which Spielberg’s Shoah foundation had brought about, Holocaust historian Raul Hilberg “sat on his hands”[28] Eskin, A Life In Pieces, p. 85 instead of joining the chorus of praise at Notre Dame. Hilberg had reason to be unhappy, but when it came to the shift from history to memory as the prime source of the Holocaust narrative, he had no one to blame but himself and his embarrassing performance at the Zündel trials in Canada.
The more the revisionists produced facts, the more the exterminationists retreated into the realm of fantasy. By 1996, the Shoah Foundation had unleashed a torrent of narratives which would eventually be exposed as frauds. One year after the publication of Fragments, Herman Rosenblat appeared on Oprah and told the story of the “Angel at the Fence,” a narrative which Oprah characterized as “the single greatest love story” she had ever heard.[29] Routledge, Holocaust High Priest, p. 345. According to Routledge’s account:
The ridiculous tale deals with two Jewish people who met on a blind date in Coney Island. At the time, they had no inkling that they had met during the Holocaust when she, Roma, had tossed an apple to Herman each day over the fence at Buchenwald. Among the story’s ludicrous details was Herman’s appointment, in advance, to enter Buchenwald’s gas chamber on a particular day—not even Holocaustians claim the camp had such a chamber. As for the camp’s layout, including the location of the Kinderblock, Herman didn’t have a clue. In summary, the story, like Wiesel’s Night, was clearly a fabrication.[30] Routledge, Holocaust High Priest, p. 345.
When reality finally caught up with Mr. Rosenblat, he invoked the “dream” trope which Elie Wiesel had made famous in Night:
Like Wiesel, who has been trying to figure out for decades if the flaming pits were real or a dream. Rosenblat played the same game, stating: “My mother came to me in a dream and said that I must tell my story so that my grandchildren would know of our survival from [sic] the Holocaust.” He went on: “In my dreams. Roma will always throw me an apple, but I now know it is only a dream.”[31] Routledge, Holocaust High Priest, p. 346.
One year later, Jane Daniel of Mt. Ivy Press, brought out Misha: A Mémoire of the Holocaust Years, which tells the incredible story of how a nine-year-old Jewish girl traveled 900 miles across Europe accompanied by a pack of wolves who fed her and helped her avoid capture by the Nazis, allowing her to scale the wall surrounding the Treblinka concentration camp to rescue her adoptive parents.[32] “Misha: A Mémoire of the Holocaust Years,” Wikipedia: The Free Encyclopedia, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Misha:_A_M%C3%A9moire_..._Years After garnering endorsements from Elie Wiesel, who found this preposterous narrative “very moving,”[33] Eskin, A Life In Pieces, p. 197 as well as the Anti-Defamation League, and the North American Wolf Foundation, Misha DeFonesca’s Holocaust story was made into a feature length film in France and released under the title Survivre avec les loups.[34] Eskin, A Life In Pieces, p. 197 Like Wilkomirski, DeFonesca spoke at synagogues and Holocaust education conferences, even though she admitted to the Sunday Times of London that some people found her tale “unbelievable.”[35] Eskin, A Life In Pieces, p. 197 Then, on February 29, 2008, DeFonesca was forced to admit that her book was an elaborate hoax. Her real name was Monique de Wael. Her parents were Roman Catholic, and she attended a Catholic school, where she was ostracized because her father collaborated with the Nazis. This left her with an enduring sense of shame which she sought to allay by inventing a fictional past as a courageous Jewish girl who actually killed Nazis, as a way of eradicating the shame her father’s collaboration with the Nazis caused her as a child.
Like Rosenblat, de Wael took refuge in the claim that the story of Misha was “not actual reality but was my reality.” Like Wilkomirski, de Wael had created moments in the book when she “found it difficult to differentiate between what was real and what was part of my imagination.”[36] “Misha: A Mémoire of the Holocaust Years,” Wikipedia.
In 1997, as Wilkomirski was being compared to Anne Frank and Elie Wiesel and Fragments was elevated to canonical status in Holocaust narrative texts, Eizenstat was able to use Fragments to shake down a settlement from the Swiss Banks. If the Wilkomirski story reached its climax in the looting of Switzerland’s banks, it found its denouement there too. In August of 1998, the Swiss journalist Daniel Ganzfried published an article in the Swiss weekly magazine Weltwoche which questioned not only the veracity of the Fragments narrative but the identity of its author as well. Wikomirski claimed to be a Jew born in Latvia, but Ganzfried showed that Binjamin Wilkomirski was in reality Bruno Grosjean, an illegitimate child born to an unmarried mother by the name of Yvonne Grosjean from Biel in Switzerland and later adopted by the Doessekkers, a wealthy, childless couple from Zurich.[37] “Fragments: Memories of a Wartime Childhood,” Wikipedia: The Free Encyclopedia, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fragments:_Memories_of...ldhood One year after Ganzfried’s article appeared, “Swiss historian and anti-Semitism expert Stefan Maechler” confirmed Ganzfried’s claim and “concluded that Ganzfried’s allegations were correct, and that Wilkomirski’s alleged autobiography was a fraud.”[38] “Fragments: Memories of a Wartime Childhood,” Wikipedia. Surveying the field, Franklin concludes that:
The Holocaust narrative has been so rife with fraud, “the real surprise” concerning “Wilkomirski’s fraudulent narrative is that it did not happen sooner. Another Jew listed as serving in the Biden Administration is Deborah Lipstadt, who is listed as “Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism.” Lipstadt became famous in the 1990s by coining the term “Holocaust denial.” She was also a fervent defender of Wilkomirski’s fraudulent Holocaust book Fragments. Confronted with one fraud after another, the Holocaust Industry entered a period of what might be termed denial. It is no coincidence that the term “holocaust denial” entered the lexicon at this point. Deborah Lipstadt, professor of Jewish Studies and Holocaust Studies at Emory University, invented the term in her book Denying the Holocaust, which appeared in 1993. Lipstadt unfortunately had been caught up in the Fragments mania and was fulsome in its praise. After Ganzfried’s damning revelations, she continued to justify retaining Wilkomirski’s fraudulent memoir on the syllabus of her Holocaust courses. She accomplished this sleight of hand by referring to Fragments as “a very powerful work of literature,”[40] Eskin, A Life In Pieces, p. 118. ignoring the fact that Wilkomirski, like Jerzy Kozinski before him, claimed that every word in his memoir was based on fact and actually happened. “Nobody,” Lipstadt continued, “is saying the Nazis did this to little children based on Binjamin’s story,” again ignoring the fact that Wilkomirski made precisely this claim. Lipstadt then said that it was necessary to “triangulate” the material in Fragments, but even that isn’t necessary because even if Fragments is “a counterfeit memoir, it’s still powerful.”[41] Eskin, A Life In Pieces, p. 119. Or, as the Italians would say, Non e vero ma e ben trovato.
Lipstadt became famous, not because of any research she did substantiating the claims of the Holocaust narrative, but because she successfully defended herself against a libel suit brought by David Irving in 1996. The case, which Irving lost, effectively established “holocaust denial” as a significant trope in the Holocaust narrative after the revisionists had succeeded in making their case in the Ernst Zündel 1985 and 1988 trials in Canada, at which Leuchter and Irving testified as witnesses. Lipstadt’s defense of Fragments even after it was exposed as a hoax is not an isolated incident. Intensity of feeling makes up for lack of veracity. Or as Gutman put it: “Wilkomirski has written a story which he has experienced deeply; that’s for sure… he is not a fake. He is someone who lives this story very deeply in his soul. The pain is authentic.”[43] Hanson (ed.), “The Wilkomirski Affair.”
The notion that if the pain is authentic, the narrative must be true has become the official position of both Yad Vashem, the Holocaust memorial in Israel, and the United States Holocaust Museum in Washington, but it is clearly at odds with University of Georgia French professor David O’Connell’s conclusion that Elie Wiesel is “a con man who has enriched himself with his tall tales.”[44] O’Connell, “Elie Wiesel and the Catholics,” Culture Wars, p. 32.
The idea that “inaccurate testimony can nonetheless represent the truth”[45] Eskin, A Life In Pieces, p. 149 could not exist outside of the hothouse confines of the Holocaust Industry and its therapy sessions. The Fragments bubble burst on February 7, 1999 when 60 Minutes’ investigator Ed Bradley “presented the Binjamin Wilkomirski story as a hoax, plain and simple.”[46] Eskin, A Life In Pieces, p. 150 Ignoring the psychological issues surrounding his case, Bradley claimed that Wilkomirski “fit the classic profile of a fraud.”[47] Eskin, A Life In Pieces, p. 150 The ultimate question, Bradley pointed out, bringing the Wilkomirski story back to reality, was “whether it was true.”[48] CBS – 60 Minutes Program, “The Holocaust Surivivor [sic] “Fraud,” Benjamin Wilkomirski,” Internet Archive, Publication date Sept. 9, 1998, https://archive.org/details/the-holocaust-surivivor-...mirski When the voice over announced that Wilkomirski “was given a standing ovation wherever he went,” the visual showed Notre Dame professor Michael Signer embracing Wilkomirski at his lecture at that university. At this point, Raul Hilberg got trotted out to express his doubts. The man who refused to join the standing ovation at Notre Dame now told Ed Bradley that “This work hovers between the highly unlikely and the utterly impossible.”[49] CBS – 60 Minutes Program, “The Holocaust Surivivor.” When Bradley produced the birth certificate which proved that Wilkomirski had been born Bruno Grosjean in Biel, Switzerland in 1941, Wilkomirski once again dissociated himself from reality, claiming that “The document is true, but it doesn’t belong to me.”[50] CBS – 60 Minutes Program, “The Holocaust Surivivor.”
After exposing Grosjean/Wilkomirski as a fraud, Bradley remained puzzled at the avidity with which the world accepted what was such an obviously concocted story. “Why,” he asks Hilberg, “do you think they were all taken in by him? His book is described as one of the great works of the Holocaust.” In testifying against Wilkomirski/Grossjean/Doeseker, Hilberg unwittingly indicted Spielberg’s Shoah Foundation by tracing the Holocaust child memory mania back to “an effort to elicit the story from every survivor who is still able to talk. So, in that sense everyone who a survivor and has a story will be told, ‘come on in.’ And if he’s capable of writing something very interesting, he’ll be celebrated.”[51] CBS – 60 Minutes Program, “The Holocaust Surivivor.”
Like Japanese soldiers in the caves of Okinawa, many of Wilkomirski’s supporters refused to surrender, even after the 60 Minutes segment aired. Harvey Peskin, author of an article entitled “The Second Holocaust: Therapeutic Rescue when Life Threatens,” which appeared in the Journal of Personal and Interpersonal Loss, predictably called the 60 Minutes piece a “second Holocaust.”[52] Eskin, A Life In Pieces, p. 151 Like Deborah Lipstadt, Peskin equated “disbelieving Binjamin Wilkomirski and denying the Holocaust . . . .”[53] Eskin, A Life In Pieces, p. 153 And in a sense Peskin was right. If the Holocaust were based in this sort of testimony, it had every right to be denied. Even Eskin the skeptical journalist felt that questioning what he knew to be a fraudulent narrative was tantamount to Holocaust denial:
Can [Wilkomirski] believe everything he has said? Does he know he’s putting one over on us? How did he weave this story together? Is he merely making all this up as he goes along? And what made me believe him in the first place? Was it his writing voice? The reputations of the publishers and museum that brought us together? My own feeling that I had to believe him, that to do otherwise would be to deny the Holocaust?[54] Eskin, A Life In Pieces, p. 157
The Holocaust Industry remained unmoved by Bradley’s expose on 60 Minutes. The U.S. Holocaust Museum continued its policy of accepting the testimony of anyone who showed up to be interviewed, no matter how absurd his story. Numerous “survivors” swore they had been examined by “Josef Mengele himself” upon their arrival at Auschwitz, an assertion which those in charge of Holocaust Museum policy refused to challenge even if the person in charge of recording the memory knew that “Mengele wasn’t there when they were.” As soon as the interviewer asks “’How did you know it was Mengele?’ and they say, ‘I found out afterwards.’ It’s clear what’s going on.”[55] Eskin, A Life In Pieces, p. 159 Ethnic blood runs thicker than journalistic water. Like the U.S. Holocaust Museum, which won’t remove testimony even if it’s proven false, Eskin feels deeply conflicted for betraying a fellow Jew “on German television of all places,” even after he’s convinced that Wilkomirski made it all up.[56] Eskin, A Life In Pieces, p. 166
In 1999 the Suhrkamp Verlag issued a statement confirming Ganzfried’s allegations and withdrawing Fragments from circulation, thus bringing the Wilkomirski affair to an end, at least in Ganzfried’s eyes, but the issue of what constituted an authentic Holocaust narrative was far from over, and fraudulent narratives continued to pour off the presses of an industry which demanded increased quantity as compensation for the dramatically decreasing quality of their texts. Eventually, the Shoah Foundation and the U.S. Holocaust Museum presided over the birth of a new literary genre, fictional autobiography. Eskin recounts listening to Holocaust survivors “drone on and on.”[57] Eskin, A Life In Pieces, p. 200 One survivor who is determined to describe her own experience as a hidden child in Lithuania was forced to write a fictional autobiography “because I don’t have enough facts.”[58] Eskin, A Life In Pieces, p. 200
This expanded version of poetic license was only issued to Jews. In 1993, a 23-year-old Australian wrote an account of the Ukrainian Holodomor under the name of Helen Demidenko, claiming, as the name implies, that she was a Ukrainian. After she claimed that most of the victims of the Holodomor had been killed by “Jewish Communist Party officials,”[59] Eskin, A Life In Pieces, p. 203 she was condemned as an anti-Semite even though the claim was true. Truth, once again, was shown to be the opinion of the powerful. Only Jews, however, are allowed to write false memoirs. When an Australian pretended to be a Ukrainian and accused Jews of responsibility for the Holodomor, she is guilty of lying precisely because she told the truth. The Holodomor was a Jewish operation from start to finish which began when Lazar Kaganovich arrived in the Ukraine in 1928 to engage in the forced industrialization of agriculture, and it reached its horrible climax five years later when the Cheka under Genrikh Yagoda, another Jew, finished the job.
Unable to defend the double standard which allows Jews to assume false identities but denies it to the goyim, Eskin flies to Prague and consults Czech psychiatrist Robert Krell, who explains the difference between “Demidenko” and “Wilkomirski” and why one false narrative is good and the other one bad. “Demidenko,” according to Krell’s hermeneutic “made up a story that is false from a premise that is false and has something false to say. If Wilkomirski is inauthentic, then it still captures something beautiful about the fragments of memory that child survivors have.”[60] Eskin, A Life In Pieces, p. 203 The narrative determines the truth, in other words; the truth does not determine the narrative.
As the Swiss bank looting operation showed, the Holocaust narrative is driven by money, but as the troubled histories of “Wilkomirski” and “Grabowski” equally showed, it is also driven by unresolved psychological problems stemming from an unhappy childhood. Analyzing specific Holocaust narratives is like peeling an onion. After stripping away layer upon layer of motivation from the financial, to the psychological, to the moral, to the theological, the investigator is left with nothing which corresponds to reality. So, to move from financial to psychological motivation, Fragments was what Freud would call a “family romance,” which Eskin describes as:
a common type of fantasy in which your actual parents aren’t the imperfect, disappointing people who gave you life and raised you; they must have been kings or Gypsies, noblemen or outsiders who, like the parents of Oedipus, Moses, and other heroic or tragic figures, abandoned you for urgent reasons that must remain secret.[61] Eskin, A Life In Pieces, p. 238
Shortly after revisionism fatally undermined whatever factual basis the Holocaust had, the psychologists took over the Holocaust narrative and promptly banned the historians from their meetings. The Holocaust Industry then began honoring Wilkomirski “not as historians or as politicians, but as mental health professionals.”[62] Eskin, A Life In Pieces, p. 167 This strategy wasn’t going to work because Wilkomirski wasn’t simply a psychologically troubled individual. He was also a con man, who may or may not have believed his own story. Eskin recounts how Wilkomirski had gone to Riga years before writing Fragments to ask questions about the plausibility of certain events which would end up in his childhood memory narrative, questions like whether:
a person could have escaped from a certain house on the edge of the Riga ghetto on the eve of the first mass murder at Rumbula. Vestermanis [Riga’s archivist] told the men that it was possible. He had no idea that one of his visitors was the potential escapee or that he was writing a book. Vestermanis forgot about the two men—the author of Fragments and his friend Elitsur Bernstein—until the investigations of Binjamin Wilkomirski’s authenticity began.[63] Eskin, A Life In Pieces, p. 179
The protagonists in the Holocaust narrative were driven by many different forces, from the psychological to the economic, but one of the main motivations was guilt. The Holocaust narrative is a form of virtue signaling, and all virtue signaling is driven by guilt. Wilkomirski mentions the “problem of guilt,” but only once, claiming that he “was involved in events that led to the death of the boy in my barrack”—the boy who soiled the bed—“and felt very guilty for that.”[64] Eskin, A Life In Pieces, p. 64 After this cryptic statement, the idea of guilt disappeared from Fragments but got picked up later by Ganzfried, who claims that the main attraction of the Holocaust narrative is freedom from guilt: “The Holocaust victim today is like Jesus. He has on his shoulders every evil deed that was ever committed. We give him some money for it, some public reputation, some respect. So, he goes on with his story, I am freed from my guilt, and we all end up in heaven” (my emphasis).[65] Eskin, A Life In Pieces, p. 230
Is guilt the key which explains the Jewish takeover of the Biden Administration, where being Jewish precludes any consideration of competence? Attorney General Garland, the country’s chief law enforcement officer, can’t enforce the law evenhandedly. In fact, he can only enforce it against people Jews perceive as their enemies. Secretary Blinken, the country’s top diplomat, can’t negotiate, and Treasury Secretary Yellen can’t keep banks from failing. All of these cabinet members have had their pictures taken with fellow Jew Zelensky, the man presiding over the destruction of the Ukraine and the main conduit for Jewish money laundering. All are incompetent. All are Jews. All are protected by Jewish Privilege from any criticism. The silver lining to this cloud is consciousness. Knowing where the problem lies is the first step to finding its solution.
Which leads us to draw certain conclusions based on the lessons that Biden’s minyan is teaching us. First of all, we have to recognize that Jews are constitutionally incapable of representing the interests of the American people. Whenever they get appointed to any governmental office, they use that opportunity to punish people they don’t like, like Catholic prolifers, while at the same time defending fellow Jews by not prosecuting them for the crimes, largely financial, which they are constitutionally inclined to commit. The conclusion which we need to draw from Biden’s minyan is inescapable: no Jew should be allowed to serve in any public office. This may sound harsh, but it is in keeping with the Catholic principle Sicut Iudeis non, which provided a modus vivendi in Europe for 1,500 years. It is also in keeping with the common practice of European countries for that same period of time. Jews were allowed to live in European countries as resident aliens at the pleasure of the sovereign, but Jews were never granted citizenship. Napoleon was the first sovereign to break that tradition, and he did so because he needed Jewish support in the Pale of the Settlement for his invasion of Russia. When Napoleon stopped in Strassbourg on his way back to Paris after the Battle of Jena, he learned that the Jews had already abused their newly granted citizenship by financially exploiting their fellow Frenchmen, as the city fathers of Strassbourg told him in no uncertain terms.
When asked what he thought about the French Revolution, Chou en lai famously said, “It’s too soon to tell.” Well, it is no longer too soon to tell. The 200-year-long experiment of allowing Jews to be citizens has failed. America has provided the proof. No country has gone out of its way to welcome Jews more than America, and the Jews have repaid the favor by declaring war on the American people by denouncing anyone who disagrees with the ADL party line as anti-Semites, racists, homophobes, transphobes, and whatever other insults the Jews can think up. Biden’s minyan is proof of that. Biden’s minyan is proof that Jews hate the American people and that they will express that hatred as soon as they get into position of power by punishing the American people and letting Jewish criminals, like the cabal at SVB bank, off the hook.
So now it’s time repay the favor by implementing Sicut Iudeis non, whose first principle is that no one has the right to harm the Jew. This should calm the hysterical Jews who are the main supporters of the ADL and the SPLC. This will open the way to implementation of the second principle of Sicut Iudeis non, which is that Jews have no right to destroy our culture. This means that they have to be removed from positions of authority if the culture is to survive. That means they have no right to impose Jewish values like abortion, sodomy, usury, bank fraud, etc., on us in the name of the law, as they did in Roe v. Wade and the more recent Obergefell decision. As Justice Clarence Thomas put it, Obergefell has to go the way of Roe v. Wade because both involve the imposition of Jewish Moloch worship on the American people. We need to do this while we have the chance. We need to take these decisions out of the hands to the Jews, because as the façade of the cathedral at Strassbourg teaches us, Jews are blind, and they are blindly heading toward their doom by sowing the seeds of a violent reaction which will fall on them like a thief in the night when the goyim finally wake up to what has happened to them.

I am a PE. Only principals who offer engineering services to the public need a PE. A staff engineer for a corporation (industrial exemption) or a government agency (governmental exemption) do not need one, even if involved in nuclear power or other very high level work.

I have known a lot of Protestants in my long life, but I have never known any who owned a copy of Scofield (no “h,” by the way). As for Catholics, they would neither own nor consult that edition since its basis is the KJV.

My response: There are numerous professional engineers who have publicly stated that there were no homicidal gas chambers at any of the German camps. These people include Walter Lüftl, Friedrich Paul Berg, Dr. Arthur Robert Butz, Wolfgang Fröhlich, Dr. Ing Franco Deana, and Richard Krege. In my opinion, these engineers are all credible sources.
Perhaps the Germans had sound reasons for their actions?

From what I know, Leuchter was an independent contractor with a non-technical educational background, so having some kind of professional certification was probably an advantage.

My response: Have you read my book? I use far more evidence than Hermann Göring quotes to prove that Stalin, FDR and Great Britain were primarily responsible for starting World War II.

At least in Illinois, Professional Liability Insurance is not required to hold a PE license.
I got a PE because my government employer had a policy of not promoting non PE holding engineers more than one step above entry level. This was a personnel policy and not a law. Illinois like most if not all states exempts staff engineers in organizations, governmental and industrial, from having to have a PE, and requires only principals in consulting firms to get one.
I don’t lose any sleep over non PEs claiming to be PEs unless they are defrauding or endangering someone, similar to the amateur Architect you mention. Doing so to advance a political or social view however noxious does not concern me anymore than holding such a view without falsely claiming a PE does.
I accept the fact that Engineering does not have the status in our society that Law and Medicine do. Also the annual fees are small and the education, experience and testing were worth it for the challenge and the satisfaction of meeting that challenge. There is an organization that I have belonged to on and off called the National Society of Professional Engineers that, among other things, campaigns to make the status of Engineering equivalent to that of Law and Medicine. I look on that crusade with amusement.
Color me skeptical. I don’t think that’s the rule even for Law and Medicine. Calling yourself an Architect or Engineer or a Doctor or Lawyer is not the same as practicing one of those professions or even holding yourself out as a provider of those types of services. As a Doctor of Engineering Law with a specialization in Architecture and a sideline in Jew-hunting I have to agree.
You are correct when it comes to employee engineers. Many of them are miserably underpaid and undervalued considering their impact on the profitability of their organization and western society as a whole. Mind you, many engineers are not that good and I wouldn’t let them design a dog house.
But even those engineers who are part of the 20% who do 80% of the work in an organization are not paid that well. Perhaps that was a problem with the industry I was in, because petroleum engineers were paid much better. I did enjoy my work though.
I got wise to that underpayment in a spectacular way when I was asked to appear in court as an expert witness, and I found out what my employer charged as an hourly rate for my expert services.
Then and there I decided to cut out the middle man and hung out my shingle.

Best business decision I ever made! I priced my work at the hourly rate my former employer charged for my expert witness services and life was beautiful again. I never told anyone what my hourly rates were, because they would have choked! I simply quoted a fixed price for the described scope of work plus the payment terms. I never took on additional work from clients that were overdue with their payments.
Finding customers was a little tricky. I obtained a business directory of my geographic region and sent over 500 letters to the CEO of businesses I believed could profit from my services. Not one reply! I put an ad in the regional newspaper’s business section and got one inquiry but no business.
Obviously I needed a different sales approach. I reflected on what got attention in an office at that time and that was a telefax! I sent out 40 faxes and got 6 inquiries. I was off to the races.

I, too am a non-degreed engineer (retired) who was underpaid just because I did not possess “that piece of paper”.
You are correct in stating that there are many so-called “engineers” out there who are unqualified. I too was part of the 20% who did 80% of the work.
That being said, I attended a non-degree granting proprietary school in the Detroit area that was very highly regarded by local employers as well as the auto industry and others. This school was able to turn out extremely competent electrical engineers in two years. There were no “fluff courses”. Everything taught was based on engineering.
This school was so highly regarded by local companies that in their statement of qualifications required “college degree or RETS” was a part of their newspaper ads.
It appears that we are turning full-circle as many companies are ditching degree requirements and going to competency-based hiring.
Now if we could get rid of the “Griggs v. Duke Power” Supreme Court ruling, we might just get somewhere.

Here in Michigan, when the PE requirements first were codified into state law, it was possible to take the state licensing exams without any required prerequisites.
That avenue is now closed off…a “college degree” is now required to even sit for the exams.
In most states 1-2 family residential buildings require no professional license. Most are spec-built solely by contractors. Multi-unit residential and commercial/institutional buildings generally involve professional licenses.
In any case, one cannot stamp, sign and amend the title ‘Architect’ to a drawing or document, or use the title in any way, unless one holds a current license. Retired architects and unlicensed architecture graduates can’t use the title, nor can moonlighting ambulance drivers. Believe it or not, many (most?) architecture professors are unlicensed and have never built a thing. Last I looked there was about 117,000 architects in the US; 800,000± PEs; 985,000 MDs; and (no surprise) 1,300,000 lawyers.
Of course, a license is not an absolute guarantee of quality. There are good/bad in any profession. But the empirical nature of professional practice, as in traditional guilds (apprenticeship, exams and practice) attempts a basis for minimum standards.
You’re correct: one can hold a license as an employee and not need liability insurance. Only the Principal – the person who signs/stamps documents – needs carry it. Venues in some states (e.g. CT) require a Principal’s personal stamp/signature: stamping with a corporate seal isn’t permitted. Practicing as a Principal – with risk and reward – is best, though many liability insurers (policy coverage $ million+) require additional annual CE and tests.
Agree. It’s not an everyday occurrence, but it does happen. Professional licensing is unimportant to most laymen. All the more reason to ask why Fred Leuchter had to embellish his CV.

You omit critical facts/context on the sinking of the USS Panay in your book. You called it “the most serious incident affecting America’s relations with Japan before Pearl Harbor”. Japan was busy murdering civilians according to NSDAP member John Rabe, who wrote “I am totally puzzled by the conduct of the Japanese. On the one hand, they want to be recognized and treated as a great power on a par with European powers, on the other, they are currently displaying a crudity, brutality and bestiality that bears no comparison except with the hordes of Genghis Khan” (Tagebücher 22 Jan 1938). Hundreds of thousands perished.

My response: You assume here that Germany was responsible for starting both World War I and II. I do not agree with your assumption.
Few historians in postwar years believed Germany to be solely responsible for the outbreak of World War I. There were differences of opinion about the degree of responsibility borne by Germany, Great Britain, France, Russia, and other belligerent nations, but no responsible person could find Germany totally responsible for the war. Representative of impartial scholarship on the subject is the opinion of Dr. Sidney B. Fay of Harvard University. Fay concluded after an extensive study of the causes of World War I:
“Germany did not plot a European war, did not want one and made genuine, though too belated efforts to avert one…It was primarily Russia’s general mobilization, made when Germany was trying to bring Austria to a settlement, which precipitated the final catastrophe, causing Germany to mobilize and bring war…The verdict of the Versailles Treaty that Germany and her allies were responsible for the war, in view of the evidence now available, is historically unsound.” (Source: Fay, Sidney B., The Origins of the World War, New York: Macmillan, 1930, pp. 552, 554-555).
Other historians who established that Germany was not primarily responsible for causing World War I include Professors Harry Elmer Barnes, Michael H. Cochran, Max Montgelas, and Georges Demartial. The Englishman Arthur Ponsonby also convincingly demonstrated that atrocity charges against the Germans were manufactured by Allied propagandists. So, I do not think Germany was primarily responsible for starting World War I. I do not think that German involvement in this war was the result of incompetent leadership.
In regard to World War II, I spend the first four chapters of my book “Germany’s War” documenting why I don’t think Germany was primarily responsible for starting the war. I do not think that Germany’s involvement in World War II resulted from incompetent leadership.
However, I do hold German leaders, including Adolf Hitler, responsible for conducting a euthansia program against mentally-ill Germans. I do consider the German euthanasia program to be a crime against humanity for which German leadership was responsible.

My response: You omit in your comment important information on page 91 of my book “Germany’s War” regarding the Panay incident. I write about this incident: “The Japanese government was quick to apologize for the incident, and paid an indemnity of two and a quarter million dollars to compensate the United States for its losses. Fortunately, the sinking of the Panay failed to kindle any desire for war in the United States.” (Source: Chamberlain, William Henry, America’s Second Crusade, Chicago: Regnery, 1950, p. 156).
So, while the Panay incident was serious, the Japanese government both apologized for it and indemnified the United States government for its losses.
FDR made every effort to get the United States into World War II. FDR used Japan as a back door to war against Germany.
The United States began a campaign of economic pressure against Japan. On July 26, 1939, the United States gave notice to Japan of its intention, effective six months from the date, to abrogate the 1911 Treaty of Commerce and Navigation with Japan. On July 2, 1940, Roosevelt signed the Export Control Act, authorizing the President to license or prohibit the export of essential defense materials. Roosevelt acted at once under these powers. On July 26, 1940, Roosevelt announced a ban on Japanese acquisition of U.S. high-octane aviation gasoline, certain grades of steel and scrap iron, and some lubricants. On September 26, 1940, Roosevelt imposed a ban on all scrap iron exports to Japan. Since the Japanese steel industry was highly dependent on imported scrap iron from the United States, the ban compelled Japan to draw down its stockpiles and operate its steel industry well below capacity. The embargo was expanded in December 1940 to include iron ore, steel, and steel products. The following month the embargo was expanded to include copper, brass, bronze, zinc, nickel, and potash. Other items were continually added to the list, each of which was much needed for Japanese industrial production. Provoking Japan into an overt act of war was the principal policy that guided Roosevelt’s actions toward Japan throughout 1941. Lt. Cmdr. Arthur H. McCollum, head of the Far East desk of the Office of Naval Intelligence, wrote an eight-action memo dated October 7, 1940, outlining how to provoke a Japanese attack on the United States. McCollum had spent his youth in various Japanese cities and spoke Japanese before learning English. McCollum was an expert in Japanese activities, culture, and intentions, and he had access to intercepted and decoded Japanese military and diplomatic messages. The following are the eight actions that McCollum predicted would provoke a Japanese attack on the United States:
1. Make an arrangement with Britain for the use of British bases in the Pacific, particularly Singapore.
2. Make an arrangement with Holland for the use of base facilities and acquisition of supplies in the Dutch East Indies.
3. Give all possible aid to the Chinese government of Chiang Kai-shek.
4. Send a division of long-range heavy cruisers to the Orient, Philippines, or Singapore.
5. Send two divisions of submarines to the Orient.
6. Keep the main strength of the U.S. Fleet, now in the Pacific, in the vicinity of the Hawaiian Islands.
7. Insist that the Dutch refuse to grant Japanese demands for undue economic concessions, particularly oil.

McCollum’s eight-action memorandum was approved by Roosevelt’s most trusted military advisers. Roosevelt’s “fingerprints” can be found on each of the provocations listed in the memorandum. For example, Roosevelt personally took charge of the fourth action, which involved the deliberate deployment of American warships within or adjacent to the territorial waters of Japan. Roosevelt called the provocations under the fourth action “pop-up” cruises. Roosevelt stated: “I just want them to keep popping up here and there and keep the Japs guessing. I don’t mind losing one or two cruisers, but do not take a chance on losing five or six.” White House records show that from March through July 1941, Roosevelt ignored international law and dispatched naval vessels into Japanese waters on three such pop-up cruises. The climax of Roosevelt’s measures designed to bring about war in the Pacific occurred on July 25, 1941, when Roosevelt froze all Japanese assets in the United States. This brought commercial relations between the nations to an effective end, including an end to the export of oil to Japan. As early as August 7, 1941, Prince Konoye, the Japanese premier, requested a meeting with Roosevelt to resolve the differences between the United States and Japan. American Ambassador Grew sent a series of telegrams to Washington, D.C. in which he strongly recommended that such a meeting take place. However, Roosevelt steadfastly refused to meet with the Japanese premier. Foreign Minister Toyoda made a dispatch to Japanese Ambassador Nomura on July 31, 1941. Since U.S. Intelligence had cracked the Japanese diplomatic code, Roosevelt and his associates were able to read this message:
“Commercial and economic relations between Japan and third countries, led by England and the United States, are gradually becoming so horribly strained that we cannot endure it much longer. Consequently, our Empire, to save its very life, must take measures to secure the raw materials of the South Seas…I know that the Germans are somewhat dissatisfied with our negotiations with the United States, but we wished at any cost to prevent the United States from getting into the war, and we wished to settle the Chinese incident.” (Source: Hearings Before the Joint Committee on the Investigation of the Pearl Harbor Attack, 79 Cong., 2 sess., 39 parts; Washington, D.C.: Government Printing Office, 1946, Part XII, p. 9).
This obvious desire of Japan for peace with the United States did not change Roosevelt’s policy toward Japan. Roosevelt refused to lift the oil embargo against Japan. The Roosevelt administration was well aware that Japan imported approximately 90% of her oil, and that 75% to 80% of her oil imports came from the United States. Roosevelt also knew that the Netherlands East Indies, which produced three percent of the world’s oil output, was the only other convenient oil producer that could meet Japan’s import needs. Roosevelt and his advisors briefly discussed a modus vivendi or truce with Japan. In fact, on November 21, 1941, the army’s War Plans Division told Secretary of State Cordell Hull it was a matter of “grave importance…that we reach a modus vivendi with Japan.” Hull permitted the peacemakers in Roosevelt’s administration to put together a proposal that had real potential. The proposal offered Japan practical proof of American friendship in the form of a 2 billion dollar loan contingent on Japan’s ending the war with China on reasonable terms. The proposal promised a renewal of the shipments of oil, metals, and other minerals that Japan needed for her factories. The proposal might have at least produced a temporary truce with Japan. But the idea of a modus vivendi was quickly rejected by interventionists in the State Department and War Department, and the final version was an unacceptable ghost of the original proposal. Instead of a modus vivendi, on November 26, 1941, Secretary of State Hull handed to the Japanese diplomatic representatives a 10-point proposal which amounted to a sharp ultimatum. The proposal, which was cleared by Roosevelt before submission, called for complete Japanese withdrawal from China and Indochina. The proposal also called for Japan to support only the Nationalist government of China, with which Japan had been in conflict for four years, and to interpret its pledges under the Tripartite Pact so that Japan would be bound to peace in the Pacific and to noninterference in Europe. The United States would meanwhile be free to intervene in Europe. Japan attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, as a result of Roosevelt’s provocations. Secretary of War Henry Stimson was relieved the attack had taken place. Stimson stated:
“We three [Hull, Knox, Stimson] all thought that we must fight if the British fought. But now the Japs have solved the whole thing by attacking us directly in Hawaii…When the news first came in that Japan had attacked us, my first feeling was of relief that the indecision was over and that a crisis had come in a way which would unite all our people. This continued to be my dominant feeling in spite of the news of catastrophes which quickly developed. For I feel that this country united has practically nothing to fear; while the apathy and divisions stirred by unpatriotic men have been hitherto very discouraging. I grew up in the east end of Toronto and joined a Boy Scout Troop. Scouting and camping were my thing during my teenage years.
Turned out that the scoutmaster of my troop was a civil professional engineer who worked for an engineering inspection firm in downtown Toronto.
During my high school years I had a summer job in that firm’s soils laboratory. I learned much on this job including the role a P.Eng. plays in the civilized world; certainly in Ontario!
At that time I was contemplating attending a “community college” to get a certificate in mechanical engineering.
My scoutmaster sat me down and explained the differences between degrees and certificates, plus the legal status of a Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng) in Ontario, which has quite draconian laws concerning the practice of engineering. He concluded that if I was going to spend time and money on higher education, I should pursue one with legal standing.
This talk I remember to this day, and in due course I was awarded my coveted engineering degree and I hired on in the heavy engineering (think powerplants) industry. Got the P.Eng. designation some time later.
Fast forward 35 years or so. After a number of serious industrial accidents involving hoisting operations and machinery, the Ontario government passed a law that made foremen and supervisors personally responsible for the safety of their directly reporting personnel.
Well, these supervisors refused to stick their necks out with operations they had no fundamental knowledge or understanding of. But they quickly learned that their saviour could be the Professional Engineer if he could be enticed to sign off on the planned operation. BINGO!
That’s the business niche I identified and offered my services for. I did a lot of other work not related to hoisting, but it usually involved the safety of workers and the supervisor’s insistence of having the P.Eng. Stamp and Signature on his procedures and equipment drawings.
It was gratifying work; and I was always welcomed with open arms! Because the business that called me was often in deep shit with the department of labour over improperly documented hoisting machinery or procedures.

Two weeks earlier (29 Nov 1941) Todt told him “this wear can no longer be won by military means…[it] can only be ended politically” and warned against forcing American involvement. Landsers am Ost were freezing in summer uniforms (arrived late January 1942). Barbarossa, supposed to be over in eight weeks, had morphed into a protracted, logistical nightmare. Hitler, guided by ‘providence’, goes all in?

My response: FDR did not declare war after the sinking of the USS Panay and three other American ships in December 1937 because Congress and the American public never would have supported such a war.
After Japan and China began a large-scale war in the summer of 1937, in an address in Chicago on October 5, 1937, Roosevelt proposed that aggressor nations be subject to “quarantine.” This was Roosevelt’s first public attempt to discard the doctrine of neutrality for the United States in concert with what later became known as “peace-loving nations”—among them the Soviet Union. However, Roosevelt could not get the American people to support the “quarantine” proposal because the American public did not want their elected officials to thrust war upon them. There is no doubt that Roosevelt was disappointed by the failure of the American people to respond favorably to his speech. My response: FDR and his administration actively conspired to have Germany declare war on the United States before the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, which American intelligence knew was coming.
The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor surprised Hitler. Hitler had never wanted Japan to attack the United States. Germany had repeatedly urged Japan to attack Singapore and the rest of Great Britain’s Far East Empire, but Japan refused to do so. After the war Col. Gen. Alfred Jodl said that Hitler had wanted Japan to attack Great Britain and the Soviet Union in the Far East, which would have set up a two-front war. Hitler thought Roosevelt would probably not be able to persuade the American public to go to war to defend Britain’s Asian colonies. Jodl said that Hitler had wanted in Japan “a strong new ally without a strong new enemy.” (Source: Fleming, Thomas, The New Dealers’ War: FDR and the War within World War II, New York: Basic Books, 2001, pp. 31-32).
Hitler’s decision to stay out of war with the United States was made more difficult on December 4, 1941, when the Chicago Tribune carried in huge black letters the headline: F.D.R.’s WAR PLANS! Chesly Manly, the Tribune’s Washington correspondent, revealed in his report what Roosevelt had repeatedly denied: that Roosevelt was planning to lead the United States into war against Germany. Rainbow Five called for the creation of a 10-million-man army, including an expeditionary force of five million men that would invade Europe in 1943 to defeat Germany. On December 5, 1941, the German Embassy in Washington, D.C., cabled the entire transcript of the newspaper story to Berlin. The story was reviewed and analyzed in Berlin as “the Roosevelt War Plan.” On December 6, 1941, Adm. Erich Raeder submitted a report to Hitler prepared by his staff that analyzed the Rainbow Five plan. Raeder concluded that the most important point contained in Rainbow Five was the fact that the United States would not be ready to launch a military offensive against Germany until July 1943. On December 9, 1941, Hitler returned to Berlin from the Russian front and plunged into two days of conferences with Raeder, Field Marshal Wilhelm Keitel, and Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring. The three advisors stressed that the Rainbow Five plan showed that the United States was determined to defeat Germany. They pointed out that Rainbow Five stated that the United States would undertake to carry on the war against Germany alone even if Russia collapsed and Britain surrendered to Germany. The three advisors leaned toward Adm. Raeder’s view that an air and U-boat offensive against both British and American ships might be risky, but that the United States was already unquestionably an enemy. (Source: Ibid., pp. 33-34).
On December 9, 1941, Roosevelt made a radio address to the nation that is seldom mentioned in the history books. In addition to numerous uncomplimentary remarks about Hitler and Nazism, Roosevelt accused Hitler of urging Japan to attack the United States. Roosevelt declared:
“We know that Germany and Japan are conducting their military and naval operations with a joint plan. Germany and Italy consider themselves at war with the United States without even bothering about a formal declaration…Your government knows Germany has been telling Japan that if Japan would attack the United States Japan would share the spoils when peace came. She was promised by Germany that if she came in she would receive control of the whole Pacific area and that means not only the Far East, but all the islands of the Pacific and also a stranglehold on the west coast of North and Central and South America. We know also that Germany and Japan are conducting their naval operations in accordance with a joint plan.” (Source: Ibid., pp. 34-35).
All of the above statements by Roosevelt are obviously lies. Germany and Japan did not have a joint naval plan before Pearl Harbor, and never concocted one for the rest of the war. Germany did not have foreknowledge and certainly never encouraged Japan to attack the United States. Japan never had any ambition to attack the west coast of North, Central, or South America. Germany also never promised anything to Japan in the Far East. Germany’s power in the Far East was negligible. On December 10, 1941, when Hitler resumed his conference with Raeder, Keitel, and Göring, Hitler said that Roosevelt’s speech confirmed everything in the Tribune story. Hitler considered Roosevelt’s speech to be a de facto declaration of war. Since war with the United States was inevitable, Hitler felt he had no choice but to declare war on the United States. Hitler declared war on the United States in his Reichstag speech on December 11, 1941, stating among other things:
“Since the beginning of the war, the American President Roosevelt has steadily committed ever more serious crimes against international law. Along with illegal attacks against ships and other property of German and Italian citizens, there have been threats and even arbitrary deprivations of personal freedom by internment and such. The increasingly hostile attacks by the American President Roosevelt have reached the point that he has ordered the American navy to immediately attack, fire upon and sink all German and Italian ships, in complete violation of international law. American officials have even boasted about destroying German submarines in this criminal manner. American cruisers have attacked and captured German and Italian merchant ships, and their peaceful crews were taken away to imprisonment. In addition, President Roosevelt’s plan to attack Germany and Italy with military forces in Europe by 1943 at the latest was made public in the United States, and the American government made no effort to deny it.
Despite the years of intolerable provocations by President Roosevelt, Germany and Italy sincerely and very patiently tried to prevent the expansion of this war and to maintain relations with the United States. Hitler ended this speech with a declaration of war against the United States. Roosevelt had finally gotten a declared war with Germany using Japan as a back door to war.

My response: The competence of military leaders during World War I is a debatable topic. I don’t claim to be a military expert, so I wil not address each of your specific questions. I will merely state that I think German military leaders were as competent as any other nation’s military leaders during World War I.

I don’t know if Hitler should have sacked Guderian. However, I will say that Guderian ws rightly critical of the Allied policy of unconditional surrender. This policy prolonged the war, resulting in the deaths of millions of additional people. German Gen. Heinz Guderian was quite outspoken about this disastrous policy:
“The demand for ‘unconditional surrender’ certainly contributed to the destruction of every hope in Germany for a reasonable peace. This was true not only for the Wehrmacht and for the generals, but also for the whole people.” (Source: Armstrong, Anne, Unconditional Surrender: The Impact of the Casablanca Policy upon World War II, New Brunswick, NJ: Rutgers University Press, 1961, p. 141).
Guderian further wrote about the Allied demand for unconditional surrender:
“The effect of this brutal formula on the German nation and, above all, on the army was great. The soldiers, at least, were convinced from now on that our enemies had decided on the utter destruction of Germany, that they were no longer fighting—as Allied propaganda at the time alleged—against Hitler and so-called Nazism, but against their efficient, and therefore dangerous, rivals for the trade of the world.” (Source: Guderian, Heinz, Panzer Leader, London: Michael Joseph Ltd., 1952, p. 284).
Gen. Heinz Guderian later commented on the ethnic cleansing of Germans: “Was it not atrocious so to treat the population of Eastern Germany? Relevance is in the eye of the beholder. Was Japan trying to maintain peace and comity in attacking the Panay?
Pearl Harbor came 1,456 days (3.99 years) after Japan deliberately sunk the Panay, strafed life boats, sunk three other American vessels, then lied about it. By 1941 Japan had spent a decade at war, killing hundreds of thousands (millions?) in a squalid imperial adventure that horrified German NSDAP member John Rabe.

My response: No. As previously discussed in regard to the Panay incident, Japan did formally apologize and indemnified the United States for its losses. While this was a serious incident, fortunately the sinking of the Panay failed to kindle any desire for war among the American public.
Actually, it was the U.S. government under Franklin Roosevelt that did everything in its power to have the United States enter into World War II. I outline some of these actions in my comments #152 and #157 on this discussion thread.
Roosevelt also lied on numerous occasions to convince the American public that America should enter into World War II.
For example, on October 27, 1941, Roosevelt broadcast over nationwide radio his Navy Day address. In an effort to convince his listeners in his Navy Day speech that Germany was a real threat to American security, Roosevelt made the following announcement: “Hitler has often protested that his plans for conquest do not extend across the Atlantic Ocean. I have in my possession a secret map, made in Germany by Hitler’s government—by the planners of the new world order. It is a map of South America and a part of Central America as Hitler proposes to organize it.” Roosevelt explained that the map showed South America, as well as “our great life line, the Panama Canal,” divided into five vassal states under German control. Roosevelt concluded: “That map, my friends, makes clear the Nazi design not only against South America but against the United States as well.” (Source: Weber, Mark, “Roosevelt’s ‘Secret Map’ Speech,” The Journal of Historical Review, Vol. 6, No. 1, Spring 1985, p. 126).
The Italian government stated that if Roosevelt did not publish his map “within 24 hours, he will acquire a sky high reputation as a forger.” A reporter at a press conference the next day asked Roosevelt for a copy of the secret map. Roosevelt refused, insisting that it came from “a source which is undoubtedly reliable.” The truth about the map emerged after the war: It was a forgery produced by the British intelligence service. William Stephenson, chief of British intelligence operations in North America, passed it on to the chief of U.S. intelligence, William Donovan, who gave it to Roosevelt. Wartime British agent Ivar Bryce claimed credit for thinking up the secret map in his memoir published in late 1984. (Source: Ibid., pp. 126-127).
Roosevelt went on in his Navy Day address to mention that he also had in his possession “another document made in Germany by Hitler’s government. It is a detailed plan to abolish all existing religions—Catholic, Protestant, Mohammedan, Hindu, Buddhist, and Jewish alike” which Germany will impose “on a dominated world, if Hitler wins.”
Roosevelt continued: “The property of all churches will be seized by the Reich and its puppets. The cross and all other symbols of religion are to be forbidden. The clergy are to be ever liquidated…In the place of the churches of our civilization there is to be set up an international Nazi church, a church which will be served by orators sent out by the Nazi government. And in the place of the Bible, the words of Mein Kampf will be imposed and enforced as Holy Writ. And in the place of the cross of Christ will be put two symbols: the swastika and the naked sword.” (Source: Ibid., p. 126).
As with the secret map, the German government correctly denounced Roosevelt’s religious document as a preposterous fraud. Roosevelt’s Navy Day address was loaded with brazen falsehoods designed to convince the American public to enter into war against Germany. Despite Roosevelt’s lies and provocations, the American public was still against entering the war. By the end of October 1941, Roosevelt had no more ideas how to get into a formal and declared war: “…He had said everything ‘short of war’ that could be said. He had no more tricks left. The hat from which he had pulled so many rabbits was empty.” (Source: Sherwood, Robert E., Roosevelt and Hopkins, an Intimate History, New York: Harper & Brothers, 1948, p. 438; see also Churchill, Winston S., The Grand Alliance, Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1950, p. 539.
Numerous historians conclude that Roosevelt conspired to force the United States into war. Historian Harry Elmer Barnes, for example, summarized President Roosevelt’s efforts to involve the United States in World War II:
“Roosevelt ‘lied the United States into war.’ He went as far as he dared in illegal efforts, such as convoying vessels carrying munitions, to provoke Germany and Italy to make war on the United States. Failing in this, he turned to a successful attempt to enter the War through the back door of Japan. He rejected repeated and sincere Japanese proposals that even Hull admitted protected all the vital interests of the United States in the Far East, by his economic strangulation in the summer of 1941 forced the Japanese into an attack on Pearl Harbor, took steps to prevent the Pearl Harbor commanders, General Short and Admiral Kimmel, from having their own decoding facilities to detect a Japanese attack, kept Short and Kimmel from receiving the decoded Japanese intercepts that Washington picked up and indicated that war might come at any moment, and ordered General Marshall and Admiral Stark not to send any warning to Short and Kimmel before noon on December 7th, when Roosevelt knew that any warning sent would be too late to avert the Japanese attack at 1:00 P.M., Washington time.” (Source: Barnes, Harry Elmer, Barnes Against the Blackout, Costa Mesa, CA: The Institute for Historical Review, 1991, pp. 285-286).
William Henry Chamberlain also concluded that Roosevelt guided America into the war. Chamberlain wrote: “The war with Germany was also very largely the result of the initiative of the Roosevelt Administration. The destroyer deal, the lend-lease bill, the freezing of Axis assets, the injection of the American Navy, with much secrecy and doubletalk, into the Battle of the Atlantic: these and many similar actions were obvious departures from neutrality, even though a Neutrality Act, which the President had sworn to uphold, was still on the statute books.” (Source: Chamberlain, William Henry, America’s Second Crusade, Chicago: Regnery, 1950, p. 352).
Historian Klaus Fischer writes that Roosevelt implemented numerous actions in 1941 that prepared the United States to enter World War II:
“Roosevelt’s actions against both Germany and Japan were positively provocative, including the previously mentioned programs of cash and carry, lend-lease, neutrality zones, restoring conscription, increased defense appropriations, and secret war plans. In March 1941 Roosevelt informed the British that they could have their ships repaired in American docks, and that same month the president ordered the seizure of all Axis vessels in American ports. On April 10, Roosevelt extended the security zone all the way to the eastern coast of Greenland, negotiating the use of military bases on the island with a Danish official who did not have approval from his home government. If we add the various economic sanctions the president imposed on Japan, it is hard to escape the conclusion that Roosevelt was preparing the nation for war.” (Source: Fischer, Klaus P., Hitler and America, Philadelphia: University of Pennsylvania Press, 2011, p. 140).
Even biographers friendly to Roosevelt admit that until the last year when he was weighed down by physical illness, Roosevelt had never been as happy as during World War II. After the Casablanca Conference, Roosevelt wrote a letter to George VI: “A truly mighty meeting…As for Mr. Churchill and myself, I need not tell you that we make a perfectly matched team in harness and out—and incidentally we had lots of fun together, as we always do.” (Source: Fish, Hamilton, FDR The Other Side of the Coin: How We Were Tricked into World War II, New York: Vantage Press, 1976, p. 116).

You seem to use and reuse the same phases from your book. Why it was “fortunate”, and for whom? The Japanese? It certainly wasn’t fortunate for the Chinese.
The following year (1938) Surgeon General Ishii Shiro establishes Unit 731, Japan’s chemical/biological weapons laboratory, in Harbin, Manchuko, China. It comprises 3,000 scientists and doctors, plus 20,000 staff. They conduct experiments on Chinese prisoners (600 per year, 3,000 total) and in the field (estimated 200,000-400,000) in black plague, typhoid, anthrax, cholera, and mustard gas. Inmates are also subjected to frostbite, extreme heat, high pressure, pathogen and disease injections, live vivisection and amputation without anesthetics [Beevor ‘The Second World War’ p.771-772].
Was live vivisection and amputation without anesthetics “fortunate”?
Japan had four years after the Panay to continue uninterrupted war and medical experiments in Asia, rounding out a full decade killing millions, while insisting the US supply them with weapons and raw materials. How did FDR force them to attack Pearl Harbor?
Germany and Italy spent 1937 testing weapons in Spain. 26 Apr 1937 (230 days before Japan sinks the Panay) they destroyed 70% of Guernica (the same proportion as Hiroshima and Nagasaki). It’s attacked by multiple waves dropping high explosives and incendiaries, Giulio Douhet’s strategy. Oberstleutnant [later Generalfeldmarschall] Wolfram Freiherr von Richthofen writes “Continuously repeated concentrated air attacks have the most effect on the morale of the enemy.” Advice the Allies follow beginning with Operation Gomorrah, Hamburg 1943.
NSDAP attempts to remove Christian crosses from Bavarian classrooms is well known. So is the imprisonment of thousands of clerics in KZs (e.g. Martin Niemöller, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Johannes Neuhäusler, etc.). 2720 were held at Dachau from 1935. Many were chosen for medical experiments, including 1200 subjected to malaria on Himmler’s orders.
Jehovah’s Witnesses (35,000 in the Reich) are dismissed from public service in June 1933. Many lose private sector jobs at the insistence of the German Labor Front (DAF). On 24 June they’re banned in Prussia, followed by other states. Gestapo persecution (ordered by Hitler) intensifies in 1936, including torture in interrogation. Ultimately 10,000 are imprisoned, including 2000 sent to concentration camps. 1200 die in custody, including 250 executed. Of course you already know that, having Longerich’s ‘Heinrich Himmler’ in your bibliography (see p.224).
The NSDAP new order:
Good Christian values taught to the young? Or a “preposterous fraud”?
Why did the NSDAP imprison clerics and use them for medical experiments? Why did they dispossess and imprison Jehovah’s Witnesses? Why did they brainwash children with messianic songs?

In comments #152, #157 and #161 of this discussion thread, I have provided massive documentation that the U.S. government under Franklin Roosevelt did everything in its power to have the United States enter into World War II. Do you have any explanation for the lies and provocations made by the United States and Franklin Roosevelt against Japan and Germany? I don’t think that you do, so you keep harping on the Panay incident as if it explains everything.
The technique you have been using in this discussion thread is to focus on one issue to the exclusion of everything else. For example, your comment #102 states that Fred Leuchter lied about being a professional engineer. In comment #124, you write: “Leuchter, lacking any engineering degree, internship service or license, claimed to be a Professional Engineer. That, and that alone, is the issue. He’s a liar who admitted his lie, then went on to lie again and again.” You made similar statements in comments #125 and #128 of this discussion thread.
In comment #129, I decided to enter this discussion thread by writing: “There are numerous professional engineers who have publicly stated that there were no homicidal gas chambers at any of the German camps. These people include Walter Lüftl, Friedrich Paul Berg, Dr. Arthur Robert Butz, Wolfgang Fröhlich, Dr. Ing Franco Deana, and Richard Krege. In my opinion, these engineers are all credible sources.”
In comment #135 you reply “Excellent! Use them!” and go on to again degrade Fred Leuchter.
I use other engineers in my book “Germany’s War” to document that there were no homicidal gas chambers in German camps during World War II. For example, on pages 344-345 of my book, I write:
“In March 1992, a prominent Austrian engineer named Walter Lüftl made headlines when a report he had written stated that the stories of mass extermination of Jews in gas chambers at Auschwitz and Mauthausen are impossible for technical reasons and because they are incompatible with observable laws of nature. At the time of his report, Lüftl was a court-recognized expert engineer who headed a large engineering firm in Vienna.
Lüftl stated that although the hydrocyanic acid contained in the Zyklon B can kill quickly and certainly, the handling requirements for Zyklon B rule out any significant use of Zyklon B for the mass killing of people. Lüftl stated that during the ventilation process after a gassing, Zyklon B would still retain approximately 92% of its hydrocyanic acid content, and would thus continue releasing hydrocyanic acid gas. Lüftl asked: How could the gas chamber operators get rid of the remaining Zyklon B from the midst of dead corpses, without lengthy ventilation periods, and without causing mass deaths outside the gas chambers? Lüftl concluded that because of operational and time considerations, quasi-industrial killing using Zyklon B would be impossible.
Lüftl also stated in his report that mass murder with diesel exhaust gasses is a sheer impossibility for reasons of time alone. Lüftl stated that this can be easily proven experimentally, even today, with a few brave men. Therefore, Lüftl concluded that the stories of gas chambers with diesel engines and gas vans at places such as Treblinka can only be disinformation. In his report, Lüftl states: “The laws of nature apply both to Nazis and anti-fascists. Nobody can be killed with diesel exhaust gas in the manner described [in the Holocaust literature].”
On pages 345-346 of my book, I write:
“Friedrich Paul Berg, an American engineer, agrees with Lüftl that diesel gas chambers are not an effective means of committing mass murder. Berg states that for any Diesel arrangement to have been even marginally effective for mass murder, it would have required an exceptionally well-informed team of experts to know and do all that was necessary. Berg mentions that even if someone had tried for a time to commit murder with Diesel exhaust, after a few tries it would have become apparent that something better was needed. Berg concludes that the evidence for diesel gassings in the German concentration camps fails to meet the most basic standards that credible evidence must pass to satisfy reasonable people.”
On page 349 of my book, I also write:
“A detailed forensic examination at the Treblinka camp using sophisticated electronic ground radar has also found no evidence of mass graves. An Australian team headed by Richard Krege, a qualified electronics engineer, carried out an examination at the site of the Treblinka camp. Krege’s team used an $80,000 Ground Penetration Radar (GPR) device, which sends out vertical signals that are visible on a computer monitor. GPR devices are routinely used around the world by geologists, archeologists, and police. GPR detects any major disturbances in the soil to a normal effective depth of four or five meters.
For six days in October 1999 the team carefully examined the entire Treblinka site, especially the alleged “mass graves” portion, and carried out control examinations of the surrounding area. Krege’s team also carried out visual soil inspections, and used an auger to take numerous soil samples. They found no soil disturbance consistent with the burial of hundreds of thousands of bodies, or even evidence that the ground had ever been disturbed. In addition, the team found no evidence of individual graves, bone remains, human ashes, or wood ashes. Richard Krege concludes from his examination of the site that Treblinka was never an extermination camp.”
So, there are plenty of professional engineers who have written that there were no homicidal gas chambers during World War II.
Another such prominent engineer is Dr. Arthur Robert Butz. Dr Butz earned an undergraduate and masters degree in engineering from MIT, which is regarded as one of the best engineering schools in the world. Dr. Butz later earned his PhD from the Univerity of Minnesota. Dr. Butz went on to teach electrical engineering at Northwestern University for many decades. Dr. Butz’s engineering credentials are outstanding.
So, in my opinion, the relevant question is whether or not there were homicidal gas chambers in any of the German camps during World War II. Based on the research and reports from Walter Lüftl, Friedrich Paul Berg, Richard Krege, Dr. Arthur Rober Butz and many other scientists, any objective researcher will conclude that there were no homicidal gas chambers in any of the German camps during World War II.

The defense in the Doctors’ Trial at Nuremberg submitted evidence of doctors in the United States performing medical experiments on prison inmates and conscientious objectors during the war. The evidence showed that large-scale malaria experiments were performed on 800 American prisoners, many of them black, from federal penitentiaries in Atlanta and state penitentiaries in Illinois and New Jersey. U.S. doctors conducted human experiments with malaria tropica, one of the most dangerous of the malaria strains, to aid the U.S. war effort in Southeast Asia. Although German Dr. Klaus Karl Schilling’s malaria experiments at Dachau were no more dangerous or illegal than the malaria experiments performed by U.S. doctors, Dr. Schilling had to pay for his malaria experiments by being hanged to death while his wife watched. The U.S. doctors who performed similar malaria experiments on humans were never charged with a crime.
The U.S. prosecution flew in Dr. Andrew Ivy to explain the differences in medical ethics between German and U.S. medical experiments. Interestingly, Dr. Ivy himself had been involved in malaria experiments on inmates at the Illinois State Penitentiary. When Dr. Ivy mentioned that the United States had specific research standards for medical experimentation on humans, it turns out that these principles were first published on December 28, 1946. Dr. Ivy had to admit that the U.S. principles on medical ethics in human experimentation had been made in anticipation of Dr. Ivy’s testimony at the Doctors’ Trial. But let’s assume you’re right. In that case, that only proves that everything reactionary has failed.

Third, there’s the matter no one brings up – social institutions. The most succinct definition of Culture is Directions for Performance. The area of Performance are Social Institutions, or, Performane in Response to Directions. Social Institutions don’t simply use explanation to function, a Social Institution is an Explanation.
An explanation is the lifeblood of any and all social institutions. If the blood is not unable to flow throughout the body the result is poor health, hardening of the arteries, heart attack and death.
That is what the tyranny of Supremacy Inc. is doing to all of the social institutions now under their control. This can be put another way to make the point clear.

FDR was constrained by Congress and the public. Leaders in Japan, Germany and Italy had no such constraints. The latter waged war in Spain from July 1936, public consent not required. Ordinary Germans didn’t want war, any more than ordinary Americans, Brits or French. Hitler’s irritation with ordinary Germans jubilant with the Müncher Abkommen’s ‘peace in our time’ showed the following day, when he complained “There is no way I can wage war with this [German] people.”

My response: No, I don’t think the Panay incident was an act of war. The Japanese government apologized for the incident, and reimbursed the United States for its material losses. The Japanese government had no desire to go to war with the United States. The Japanese government was not so stupid as to start a war against an enemy as powerful as the United States.
If you think the Panay incident was an act of war, do you think that Israel’s attack on the USS Liberty in 1967 was an act of war? This combined air and sea attack killed 34 American crew members (naval officers, seamen, two marines, and one civilian NSA employee), wounded 171 crew members, and severely damaged the ship. As has been documented by numerous survivors, this attack was clearly intentional and not a case of mistaken identity. Yet, Israeli leaders lie that the attack on the USS Liberty was a case of mistaken identity, saying that the USS Liberty had been attacked in error after being mistaken for an Egyptian ship. Do you think the Israeli attack on the USS Liberty is different from the Panay incident?

Alfred Lilienthal wrote: “Zionist expansionist aspirations are limitless…an abnormal Israel promulgating worldwide Jewish nationalism means only perpetual warfare. My response: Yes, I think that FDR did everything in his power to force Japan to attack the United States. I list some of these steps in comment #152:
1) The United States began a campaign of economic pressure against Japan. On July 26, 1939, the United States gave notice to Japan of its intention, effective six months from the date, to abrogate the 1911 Treaty of Commerce and Navigation with Japan. On July 2, 1940, Roosevelt signed the Export Control Act, authorizing the President to license or prohibit the export of essential defense materials. Roosevelt acted at once under these powers. 2) On July 26, 1940, Roosevelt announced a ban on Japanese acquisition of U.S. high-octane aviation gasoline, certain grades of steel and scrap iron, and some lubricants. On September 26, 1940, Roosevelt imposed a ban on all scrap iron exports to Japan. Since the Japanese steel industry was highly dependent on imported scrap iron from the United States, the ban compelled Japan to draw down its stockpiles and operate its steel industry well below capacity. The embargo was expanded in December 1940 to include iron ore, steel, and steel products. The following month the embargo was expanded to include copper, brass, bronze, zinc, nickel, and potash. Other items were continually added to the list, each of which was much needed for Japanese industrial production. 3) Provoking Japan into an overt act of war was the principal policy that guided Roosevelt’s actions toward Japan throughout 1941. Lt. Cmdr. Arthur H. McCollum, head of the Far East desk of the Office of Naval Intelligence, wrote an eight-action memo dated October 7, 1940, outlining how to provoke a Japanese attack on the United States. McCollum had spent his youth in various Japanese cities and spoke Japanese before learning English. McCollum was an expert in Japanese activities, culture, and intentions, and he had access to intercepted and decoded Japanese military and diplomatic messages. The following are the eight actions that McCollum predicted would provoke a Japanese attack on the United States:
1. Make an arrangement with Britain for the use of British bases in the Pacific, particularly Singapore.
2. Make an arrangement with Holland for the use of base facilities and acquisition of supplies in the Dutch East Indies.
3. Give all possible aid to the Chinese government of Chiang Kai-shek.
4. Send a division of long-range heavy cruisers to the Orient, Philippines, or Singapore.
5. Send two divisions of submarines to the Orient.
6. Keep the main strength of the U.S. Fleet, now in the Pacific, in the vicinity of the Hawaiian Islands.
7. Insist that the Dutch refuse to grant Japanese demands for undue economic concessions, particularly oil.
8. Completely embargo all trade with Japan, in collaboration with a similar embargo imposed by the British Empire. (Source: Stinnett, Robert B., Day of Deceit: the Truth about FDR and Pearl Harbor, New York: The Free Press, 2000, pp. 6, 8).
McCollum’s eight-action memorandum was approved by Roosevelt’s most trusted military advisers. Roosevelt’s “fingerprints” can be found on each of the provocations listed in the memorandum.
4) The climax of Roosevelt’s measures designed to bring about war in the Pacific occurred on July 25, 1941, when Roosevelt froze all Japanese assets in the United States. This brought commercial relations between the nations to an effective end, including an end to the export of oil to Japan. As early as August 7, 1941, Prince Konoye, the Japanese premier, requested a meeting with Roosevelt to resolve the differences between the United States and Japan. American Ambassador Grew sent a series of telegrams to Washington, D.C. in which he strongly recommended that such a meeting take place. However, Roosevelt steadfastly refused to meet with the Japanese premier. Foreign Minister Toyoda made a dispatch to Japanese Ambassador Nomura on July 31, 1941. Since U.S. Intelligence had cracked the Japanese diplomatic code, Roosevelt and his associates were able to read this message:
“Commercial and economic relations between Japan and third countries, led by England and the United States, are gradually becoming so horribly strained that we cannot endure it much longer. Consequently, our Empire, to save its very life, must take measures to secure the raw materials of the South Seas…I know that the Germans are somewhat dissatisfied with our negotiations with the United States, but we wished at any cost to prevent the United States from getting into the war, and we wished to settle the Chinese incident.” (Source: Hearings Before the Joint Committee on the Investigation of the Pearl Harbor Attack, 79 Cong., 2 sess., 39 parts; Washington, D.C.: Government Printing Office, 1946, Part XII, p. 9).
This obvious desire of Japan for peace with the United States did not change Roosevelt’s policy toward Japan. Roosevelt refused to lift the oil embargo against Japan. The Roosevelt administration was well aware that Japan imported approximately 90% of her oil, and that 75% to 80% of her oil imports came from the United States. Roosevelt also knew that the Netherlands East Indies, which produced 3% of the world’s oil output, was the only other convenient oil producer that could meet Japan’s import needs. On October 31, 1941, an oil agreement between Japan and the Netherlands East Indies expired. The Netherlands East Indies had promised to deliver to Japan about 11.4 million barrels of oil, but had actually delivered only one-half of that amount. The Japanese Navy had consumed about 22% of its oil reserves by the time the war broke out. Roosevelt and his advisors briefly discussed a modus vivendi or truce with Japan. In fact, on November 21, 1941, the army’s War Plans Division told Secretary of State Cordell Hull it was a matter of “grave importance…that we reach a modus vivendi with Japan.” Hull permitted the peacemakers in Roosevelt’s administration to put together a proposal that had real potential. The proposal offered Japan practical proof of American friendship in the form of a two billion dollar loan contingent on Japan’s ending the war with China on reasonable terms. The proposal promised a renewal of the shipments of oil, metals, and other minerals that Japan needed for her factories. The proposal might have at least produced a temporary truce with Japan. But the idea of a modus vivendi was quickly rejected by interventionists in the State Department and War Department, and the final version was an unacceptable ghost of the original proposal. Instead of a modus vivendi, on November 26, 1941, Secretary of State Hull handed to the Japanese diplomatic representatives a 10-point proposal which amounted to a sharp ultimatum. The proposal, which was cleared by Roosevelt before submission, called for complete Japanese withdrawal from China and Indochina. The proposal also called for Japan to support only the Nationalist government of China, with which Japan had been in conflict for four years, and to interpret its pledges under the Tripartite Pact so that Japan would be bound to peace in the Pacific and to noninterference in Europe. The United States would meanwhile be free to intervene in Europe. Roosevelt knew that the Japanese government could not accept such a proposal: the proposal was in effect an invitation to war. In a defense deposition at the Tokyo war crime trials, Foreign Minister Togo said of the Hull proposal: “The reaction of all of us to it was, I think, the same. Ignoring all past progress and areas of agreement in the negotiations, the United States had served upon us what we viewed as an ultimatum containing demands far in excess of the strongest positions theretofore taken. In conclusion, Roosevelt took economic and political steps to force Japan to attack Pearl Harbor. Roosevelt also knowingly withheld information from Adm. Husband Kimmel and Gen. Walter Short to enable Japan’s attack at Pearl Harbor to be successful. He then lied to the American public and Congress that Japan had made a surprise attack on Pearl Harbor. In reality, Roosevelt knew the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor was coming, and did everything in his power to ensure that it was successful.

My response: It is also relevant to ask why Niemöller was treated so badly by Americans after the war.
The American infatuation with Niemöller was severely tested from an interview he gave in Naples on June 5, 1945 to dozens of British and American war correspondents. Niemöller said his objections to Nazism were religious and not political, which is why he had offered his services to the German navy when World War II broke out. Niemöller said that honest Germans did not feel responsible for the German concentration camps. Niemöller further said that the German people were ill suited to live under a Western form of democracy; indeed, in many ways Germans preferred authoritarian rule. Niemöller faced harsh criticism from Eleanor Roosevelt after this interview. The former first lady wrote: “Pastor Niemöller sounds to me like a gentleman who believes in the German doctrine of the superiority of race” and described his Naples interview as sounding “almost like a speech by Mr. Hitler.” Niemöller later wrote that Eleanor Roosevelt and her friends were investigating and highlighting his past, saying that he had been “an anti-Semite, a militarist and even a Nazi!” (Source: Ibid., pp. 174, 212).
Niemöller became exasperated by repeated Allied assaults on his honor. He yearned for the life of a simple pastor. Niemöller wrote to an American friend: “Else and I are rather tired of the whole thing, and I am thinking earnestly of leaving Germany for good and of taking a small congregation in England or in your country. You see, there is not much left of the old ‘fighting pastor,’ at least of my old resistance.” (Source: Ibid., p. 212).
Martin Niemöller opposed Allied denazification from the moment the policy was unveiled in 1945 to its demise in 1948. When asked in December 1945 what he thought was the most serious problem facing the German churches, Niemöller mentioned the overbearing denazification policies that had resulted, in the American Zone alone, in the arrest and internment of some 117,000 Germans who had been members of Nazi organizations. Niemöller in early 1946 joined other church leaders in sending a declaration to the American Military Government criticizing the denazification process. (Source: Ibid, pp. 182-183).
Historian Steven Remy writes concerning Niemöller’s opposition to denazification: “In early 1948…Martin Niemoeller went so far as to insist that Protestants stop assisting the prosecution and forbade clergy in Hesse-Nassau from “justify[ing] this scandal any longer by doing any work in connection with denazification.” (Source: Remy, Steven P., The Malmedy Massacre: The War Crimes Trial Controversy, Cambridge, Mass.: Harvard University Press, 2017, p. 186).
Niemöller was also a strong critic of the Allied-run postwar trials in Germany. Along with four other leading German clergymen, Niemöller sent a long letter to U.S. Gen. Lucius Clay denouncing the International Military Tribunal (IMT). The signatories argued that the defense attorneys had been handicapped at the IMT, witnesses had been “interrogated under the duress of extradition to Eastern states,” international law was being applied only to the vanquished, and there was no court of appeal. Niemöller also vigorously protested the unfairness of other American-run postwar trials in Germany. (Source: Ibid., pp. 203, 258).
Niemöller and his family suffered extreme hardships after the war. During his American speaking tour, Niemöller told American audiences that Germans were receiving no better than “the lowest ration ever heard of in a Nazi concentration camp.” Although Niemöller raised more money than expected from his American tour, he was disappointed in its outcome because he was not able to improve U.S. occupation policies in Germany. So, at least for a while after the war, Niemöller’s Dachau cell looked as good or better to him than what he and his family were experiencing in the American Zone of Germany.

My response: I don’t agree with Hitler’s treatment of Martin Niemöller, and I don’t agree with the United States’s treatment of Niemöller after the war. My point is that both Hitler’s and America’s treatment of Niemöller were wrong and inappropriate. I do not regard this as “false equivalence.”
What so frequently happens in these discussions is that all you ever hear about is Germany’s alleged or real crimes against people like Niemöller. You almost never hear about the mistreatment of people like Niemöller by the Allies after the war. I was attempting to add balance to the discussion.

My response: Not that I am aware of. I read every book available in Dallas libraries about Niemöller, but I don’t remember him expressing such regrets.
The 38% Dachau mortality rate you use comes from page 113 of the book “The Priest Barracks” by Guillaume Zeller. Zeller writes: “Of the 2,720 ecclesiastics who were imprisoned in Dachau, 1,034 died during their detention–38% of them–in ‘natural’ or intentional circumstances.”
Zeller’s 38% death rate for the ecclesiatics is much higher than the overall death rate at Dachau. I am not sure why it is as high as 38%, as the overall death rate for people interned at Dachau is much lower.
The book “Dachau, 1933-1945: The Official History” by Paul Berben states that the total number of people who passed through Dachau during its existence is well in excess of 200,000. The author concludes that while no one will ever know the exact number of deaths at Dachau, the number of deaths is probably several thousand more than the quoted number of 31,951. This book documents that approximately 66% of all deaths at Dachau occurred during the final seven months of the war. Thus, the overal death rate at Dachau was about 17%. Why the death rate among clerics was so much higher at 38% I have no idea.

My response: Israel’s attack on the USS Liberty was clearly intentional. We both agree on that. However, Israel never had to be concerned about any retaliation on the part of the U.S. government. The U.S. government continued to give Israel billions of dollars of foreign aid each year, and continued normal commercial relations with Israel. U.S. politicians and media continued to refer to Israel as our good friend and ally. In short, the U.S. acted as if the attack on the USS Liberty never happened. This is different than what the U.S. government did to Japan after the Panay incident.

My response: I have not ever been to that part of the world. Unfortunately, I am currently disabled with chronic fatigue syndrome, so I am not able to travel. Even if I could travel, I would not want to go to Israel. As a published “Holocaust denier,” I might be arrested there.
I am not a huge fan of Noam Chomsky either. I like the Jews I used in my comment much better. I am a very big fan of Ilan Pappé, who I greatly admire.

My response: Hitler’s invasion of the Soviet Union on June 22, 1941 was a preemptive attack. If Hitler had not invaded the Soviet Union at this time, Stalin and the Soviet Union would have conquered all of Europe. My response: You are correct that Germans including Heinz Guderian trained in the Soviet Union after World War I. I write about this on page 49 of my book “Germany’s War”. The supply problem might have surprised Joseph Goebbels, but I doubt if it surprised Guderian and other German military leaders. Hitler invaded the Soviet Union only because he had to. Hitler’s invasion of the Soviet Union was made for purely preemptive reasons.
I am not sure what Martin Niemöller was thinking at the time. He might have been thinking that Germany should have let him fight in the German navy. In his interview on June 5, 1945 to dozens of British and American war correspondents, Niemöller said his objections to Nazism were religious and not political, which is why he had offered his services to the German navy when World War II broke out.

It might have something to do with the Polish clerics: 697 arrived December 1941. Another 500 (most elderly, inadequately clothed) appeared in October 1942 (82 survived). Others were selected for medical experiments (Klaus Schilling).
It took time to refine KZs: the early days could be sadistically brutal, even to a Reich official:

Dachau figured in Operation Hummingbird. Many victims were taken there. Retired 71-year-old Minister-President Gustav Ritter von Kahr for example. Abducted from Munich, tortured by the SS en-route 30 Jun 1934. His mutilated body – shot and hacked to death by pickaxes – was found in a nearby swamp.
Dachau celebrities (e.g. Niemöller, Schuschnigg, Léon Blum and his wife, Schacht, Halder) and Sippenhaft inmates (e.g. Fey von Hassell) received better treatment. They were valuable hostages. Fey’s toddler sons, given new names, were spirited away when she was arrested. Here’s what she saw:

Fair enough. Riefenstahl minces no words on post-war hardship. ‘After the Reich’, ‘Aftermath’, ‘Eight Days in May’ are rightly sobering. German resilience after losing almost everything does them great credit.

How did Hitler initially sell Barbarossa to flag-officers? It wasn’t about any immanent Soviet attack. It was, after the Dunkirk mistake, Battle of Britain failure, and Sea Lion non-event, all about how to force England to negotiate. Barbarossa would destroy Britain’s last potential continental ally and force Churchill to sue for peace. The rotten Soviet house-of-cards would fall in eight weeks. Troops would return home before Christmas. No need for winter uniforms.
German war-gaming 1940-41 included no Russian offensive; only how best to overwhelm a docile foe. That’s clear in OKH and OKH archives, as well as memoirs of officers briefed before the campaign.
It was all pure hubris. After the fall of France, the military joined Hitler in drinking infallibility Kool-Aid.
On 23 Jun 1941 Göbbels, briefed by Hitler, gave the Press three reasons for invading the USSR:
Fifteen days later (8 July 1941) Hitler ordered Göbbels to start a new press campaign insisting the Barbarossa was pre-emptive defense against an imminent Soviet attack [Longerich ‘Göbbels’ p. 482]. It’s Göring’s “All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked” excuse. Unmentioned in planning and unconfirmed by empirical proof.
Twenty-two days into Barbarossa (14 Jul 1941) Hitler issues Führer Directive 32b, which predicts “The military domination of the European space after the defeat of Russia will soon allow us to reduce the size of the army…The centre of gravity of armaments will be transferred to the Luftwaffe [which is to be] greatly enlarged”. Kool-Aid anyone?
Guderian’s poisonous quarrel with Kluge (and their duel) had everything to do with logistics. Panzers out-striped exhausted infantry regiments and supply lines. Diminishing fuel and ammunition severely limited the Panzers advance; the infantry needed to close pockets and take POWs were, with resupply, far behind.
Nonetheless, Press Chief SS-Obergruppenführer Dr. Otto Dietrich declares “The Campaign in the East has been decided by the smashing of Army Group Timoshenco” on 9 Oct 1941. The following day The Völkischer Beobachter headlines ‘The Great Hour Has Struck!’, ‘Campaign in the East Decided!’, ‘The Military End of the Bolsheviks!’
Sixteen trains per day reach Army Group Center in November 1941, fifteen less than the minimum 31/day required for basic subsistence. 15% of truck depots on the Eastern Front are operational. Second Panzer Army receives 360 tons supplies/day (each army needs 2500-3000 tons/day). Winter will make it worse.
Three months into Barbarossa (26 Sep 1941) Ostheer suffers 534,952 casualties (15%). Generaloberst Friedrich Fromm’s Ersatzheer (Replacement Army) is capable of 385,000 replacements – a 150,000 man shortfall. 85% of German men age 20-30 are in the Wehrmacht by summer 1941. The Soviet Army numbers 5,373,000 on 22 Jul 1941; 6,889,000 on 31 Aug 1941; and 8,000,000 on 31 Dec 1941.
Manstein blamed “Hitler [for] underrating the resources of the Soviet Union and the fighting qualities of the Red Army…he based everything on the assumption that the Soviet Union could be overthrown by military means in one campaign.” Manstein was self-exculpatory. No flag officer made any significant objection to Barbarossa at the time. They’d drunk the same Kool-Aid.
Hence the question of German leadership competence.
