RSSIt’s so comforting to hear that this strain only has a negligible 60% kill rate. Let’s just hope that the 10 to 40% who survive have the names and addresses of the fools that authorized the return. and why Atlanta? DC, Boston, NYC, SF. Hello, do-gooders? open your hearts and wallets. Georgetown has a highly rated hospital. You could walk there to visit! Harvard or Yale would be acceptable alternatives. Don’t fear the reaper! You do have good immune systems, right, and Obamacare?
Hey, where’s all my Has’bros at? Did they all just say screw it, or did they figure out Phil is beyond redemption? Headed for the front, or just watching the fireworks from a safe hillside?
Pooch=screwed!
“Please, sir, may I have a little more?”
that is, a link or widget to Unz.org, an amazing and (I’m guessing) under-utilized treasure trove of pre-PC old white guys?
Thanks!
I have a theory that if Walter Jones and a (very) few House colleagues are successful in getting the redacted portions of the 911 report published, and some designated fall guy starts blabbing to save his hide, many actual conspiracies will be shown to be factual. OTOH, there may also be a lot of completely coincidental accidents and suicides that may remind our esteemed representatives that they should return to their previously scheduled programs, and the herd to their contented grazing.
Good job! I wanted to respond to tom_boy’s moronic mewlings but I couldn’t think of anything that wouldn’t dismay the site’s owner. Generally, conservatives are even worse than the pinks because they know what needs to be done, but won’t do it for fear of losing their place at the trough. We totally saw what they did to Pat Buchanan and Ron Paul and now they want to bitch about ‘bama 24/7/364.
Avarice and fear; that old dead dude nailed it!
Jane; could it possibly be because boko haram is not under western control (bad Muslims) but the new caliphate obviously is? enemy of ‘our’ enemy kind of thing?
Great to see you on UR! Your recent blogging on the Syrian election was very illuminating. Eyewitness testimony as opposed to virtually nothing from the worthless msm. many thanks!
yeah, except they’ve already moved to close the vulnerabilities that Ron exposed. I.e. all candidates will be pre-approved, including Democrats. Letting Ron get that much uncontrolled airtime was the biggest mistake they ever made, and unlikely to be repeated.
I’d like to see a shadow constitutional cabinet and supreme court that would be to government what john Williams shadowstats is to econ., but as a constitutional President is mostly ceremonial, I’d rather see Phil at State or War dept. I assume there wouldn’t be a const. CIADIANSA, but if so, it’s his. Paul Craig Roberts gets state and treasury, kwiatkowski War, Rockwell HEW, etc.
RP is already president of the internet.
Someone should read this to Sarah Palin. or a shorter version; shut up, already. How can we miss you if you won’t go away?
I knew it! Damn 19th century Austrians. Oh when will the world be safe from their machinations? I think we have discovered a new master baiter here. I wonder if he’s related to Dianne Ravitch? Let’s see what the last guy to edit the Wikipedia page has to say…
Norman goes, from his first comment, total ignorance of the author, to complete expert after two hours of googling, citing Wikipedia which is notoriously unreliable on these subjects. Is he familiar with the phrase “going off half-cocked”?
I don’t know if you need to be concerned about font size too much. The ability to easily zoom to fit is what converted me the tablet as soon as I tried it. The talent that Ron has assembled is so good, it wouldn’t matter if the presentation was drudge-level poor.
PS – please snipe Larrison and Lind from amcon; it’s fork time. And Dennis Dale, please.
I don’t think “distracting” is a legitimate complaint. One has to be skilled in ignoring or tolerating a lot of fluff and spam on most sites. I’ve moved almost completely to using a tablet, which greatly enhances reading (and makes commenting using the virtual keyboard agonizing, which is probably a blessing for everyone). I prefer the standard layout, but the mobile version is very nice for regular readers, because it’s easier to determine what content is new and unread. I don’t know what happened to the web1.0 system of highlighting previously read content, but I don’t see how anyone can bitch about something that is completely free, especially troubles with commenting. Sheesh! If you don’t like it, feel free to go back to the Huffington post; many, many whiners to keep you company, over there.
Thanks for that Fred, and Ron for publishing it. I can’t believe how the colon-suckers are coming down on this kid. He thought he was joining the “Worldwide Force for Good” and found out he was working for the Mafia. Contract voided by fraud. Screw you, chicken hawks! (I’m talking to you, Denninger). Hold your head high, Bowe; you owed those bastard liars nothing, and neither do we.
I think you’re all wet on this issue, but that is a mighty impressive list of neocons, liberals and MSM airheads backing you up. Let’s increase unemployment and immigration while raising taxes on what’s left of the middle class, while we kill off the rest of the economy, destroy the health care system and desperately try to get another war going. If Michael Lind and Bill O’Reilly agree, it’s got to be good; they nailed it on the Iraq war, after all. We can all get rich taking in each other’s laundry and trimming each other’s lawns, and get paid in bitcoins. MSNBC, NPR, The New Republic, and The New York Times all agree! Wonderful! What could go wrong?
Before Hasbara, indeed before Leo Strauss chopped down his first cherry tree, there were these men called Jesuits, of whom it was said, if they were accused of killing three men and a dog, would invariably produce the dog, alive and well.
It seems odd that the spark that touched off the tiny Richwine barrel miraculously missed the much larger barrel that was the Heritage report itself. I guess the sparks aren’t really all that random.
I just came from a discussion of this topic over at Infowars, (yeah, I know, I know…) but even in that rarified atmosphere most of the commenters were keeping good faith with Ron. Rand remains a known unknown, however, and even though I have, and continue, to support him, I was somewhat dismayed to be informed in his weekly newletter that –
“Americans Previously Detained In Egypt Released
It was reported this week that the Egyptian government lifted the travel ban on the remaining Americans being prosecuted for their association with pro-democracy nongovernmental organizations (NGOs).
Over the past several weeks, I have worked tirelessly to bring attention to the unjust actions of the Egyptian government, and I insisted that my colleagues in the Senate debate, consider, and vote on my amendment to deny Egypt any U.S. foreign aid unless they ended their attempt to prosecute these Americans. Now that Egypt has begun to relent, it is clear that the growing pressure on Egypt from the U.S. government – including from Congress – was a factor in their decision.
It was later confirmed that a plane carrying the previously detained American pro-democracy workers left Egypt on Thursday. It brings me great relief to know the brave American pro-democracy workers in Egypt are safely returning home to the U.S. Their safe return brings closure to this ordeal.”
I don’t know what he’s up to here, but I don’t like it. (Personally I was hoping the Egyptians would hang the bastards, but I admit to being somewhat immature.) I have complete faith in Ron, but methinks Rand may be “growing into” acceptance by the PTB. ” brave American pro-democracy workers”. Say what?
A.C.- If you really can’t afford Gottfried’s book, or look at it as partial payment for all the free stuff he’s put out over the years, I just noticed that Amazon has 180 copies of “The War Over Iraq: Saddam’s Tyranny and America’s Mission” by Lawrence Kaplan and William Kristol from $0.01! The invisible hand is a beautiful thing…
