The concepts and symbols certainly compute.

The storms that bring lightning, the desert in the sense of total evacuation, death in the total, iron in the Promethean sense, and justice in the sense of the accuser.

Very interesting. Would love to talk more about magic, given the opportunity.

The Egyptian word is heka and an instructional text describes it as a divine gift to be used to ward off the blow of events i.e. defensively (as an aside the same text is the earliest surviving mention that man is made in the image of God – long before it appears in the bible).

It was a tool principally of the educated priestly class and was used in the daily temple ritual to ward off the anti-creation force in the form of Apophis. There is an explicit warning about the misuse of Heka in the form of curses (the common Jewish MO) which jeopardises the eternal life of the person. If asked I would tell people to keep away from magic because the harm they can do inadvertently to themself or others as it was only ever meant to be used by the wise and that is not a characteristic of the world today.

Incidentally, it neither surprises nor disturbs me that early Egyptian natural philosophy correctly identified man as an image of God. The Bible is a revelation, itself a gift. God is He who is explicitly revealed.

From “Which Seth? Untangling some close homonyms from ancient Egypt and the Near East”, Lloyd D. Graham, PRAGUE EGYPTOLOGICAL STUDIES XXVII/2021, 60–96:

    (3) Seth, the Egyptian god of tumult and confusion, who has some elements in common with the Judeo‑Christian Satan….
There are indications in the Hebrew bible that YHWH was originally a Semitic storm god, and thus a local form of (or counterpart to) the West Semitic storm god Baal, which in turn makes him cognate with Seth (Cannuyer 2017: 18–24). In fact, the West Semitic goddess Anat –considered to be the consort of Seth‑Baal in the New Kingdom – was venerated as the consort of YHWH by the Jews of Elephantine (Cannuyer 2017: 29).

For Egyptians, Seth was strongly associated with the Levant and Syria; this, together with his identification with the donkey, might account for why the Egyptian writer Apion chose to disparage the Jerusalem Temple as the home of a donkey‑cult (Josephus, Against Apion II: 79–88; Hofrichter 2003: 300–301; Assmann 1997: 37; Cannuyer 2017: 29).

These links were not the only potential motive. Another Sethian connection for YHWH lies in common Roman era misrepresentations of the Jews as entrenched opponents of normative behaviour (e.g. Tacitus Histories V: 5; Cannuyer 2017: 28).

A further Sethian association for the Jewish deity can be found in the fact that Ιαω, the rendering of YHWH in Greco‑Egyptian texts, was phonetically similar to the Egyptian and Coptic words for donkey, aA and eiw, respectively, which in turn reflect the sound of an ass braying (Assmann 1997: 37; Cannuyer 2017: 29).

The Ιαω of Greco‑‑Egyptian magical texts features in Coptic Gnostic texts as iao (iao), an Archon who represents or assists the jealous and ignorant demiurge Ialdabaoth, who is himself a negative recasting of YHWH (Cannuyer 2017: 34; Rasimus 2009: 104–105; Turner 2019: 151).

Magical and Gnostictext genres are discussed in detail below (see: Magical Seth, Gnostic Seth). Moving from YHWH to his antithesis, Seth’s role as the murderer of Osiris, adversary of Horus and wreaker of havoc has sometimes prompted comparisons with Satan (Onasch 1980: 105)….

The image of the composite Greco‑Egyptian deity Seth‑Typhon as the chief adversary of the gods – a malign force whose counterpart in Judeo‑Christian circles was Satan – is thought to underpin some Hebrew prophetic visions (Dan 7–8) as well as parts of the final book of the New Testament (Rev 12–13) (van Henten 1988)….

The Typhonian dragon of the Apocalypse (Rev 12–13) went on to inspire many of the representations of Satan in Christian art. In fact, there is a provocative visual continuity between Ptolemaic temple reliefs of Horus harpooning the Seth‑hippopotamus, late Roman (Fourth Century AD) depictions of a mounted Horus spearing other Sethian animals, and the Coptic tradition (from the Sixth Century AD onward) of equestrian saints spearing the devil (Turner 2012: 23; Brunner‑Traut 1985: 77; Georganteli 2010: 111–112; Meinardus 2000: 83–85) – a trope continued in medieval European depictions of St. George slaying “a great dragon, possessed and moved by Satan himself ” (Hanauer 1907: 56–57) (fig. 4). Depictions of the medieval dragon‑slayer also have considerable visual overlap with pharaonic images of Seth spearing Apophis from atop the solar barque (Brunner‑Traut 1985: 74–75)

Arbitrary "age of consent" laws have been the source of much our problems.

First, it serves as a mechanism to employ millions to "help the children". This includes government schools, "social services" and other meddlesome busy-body organizations. It prevents otherwise productive young adults from engaging in occupations and developing skills and coming up with new ideas. Unions have benefited from this for over 150 years...much to the detriment of individuals and society at-large.

These laws have also been a boon for those seeking to go after men who are following their natural reproductive drive. Mating with the young and healthy has been the basis for the survival of the species. Per the Mayo Clinic, pregnancy after 35 is considered "advanced age" which has many negative ramifications. This means a ~22 year window has been reduced to ~17 years.

Remember, "teen pregnancy" wasn't a problem until age of consent laws and marital consent laws were enacted.

Humans are the only animal that can still be considered a child while being able to procreate.

Another thing about this "age of consent" nonsense is that historically it was for MARRIAGE, not for screwing around. Women should ideally marry virgins.

Ancient Egypt did not have a revealed religion in the biblical sense but most certainly did have a conception of a spirit which gave a moral and ethical compass. “I told no lie to anyone. I know the god who dwells in me. Knowing Him I know right from wrong” (Tomb of Paheri, c. 1500 bc). “Those in their mothers’ womb already have their face turned towards You” (Hymn to Osiris. Today in the Ancient Egyptian calendar is his great feast day – W3g festival). The argument from size regarding abortion seems particularly weak in this context with prayers such as the aforementioned and how disabled, e.g. dwarfism , were welcomed and looked after (Instruction of Amenemope etc.).

Many people for thousands of years have believed that the soul enters the body at the moment of birth, when you draw your first breath. Just like many people would agree that the soul leaves the body upon death at the moment you exhale your last breath. You still have billions of living cells that go on living after death - your hair and nails continue growing for some time. But anyone who has looked at the dead body of a loved one knows there is no longer any "life" in that body. The four living cells of a newly created zygote may technically constitute life, but it is hard to see a human soul in that.

As far as I know the Bible says nothing specific about the exact moment of ensoulment. I know there are some who believe the Bible says that the soul remains in the dead body and will stay there until the resurrection, at which point all the good skeletons will rise up out of the ground and go to heaven because they believed in Jesus.

Many people of a scientific bent like to think there is no such thing as a human soul at all, that it's all just molecules and atoms and chemical reactions. Those people only believe in what they can see and measure. To me, those people have very limited vision and are shutting themselves off from learning the most important lessons life can teach us. These are some of the same people who are pushing trans-humanism, thinking they can download themselves into a computer and live forever. Sadly, these types seem to be prominent in the billionaire oligarch class that rules us. Maybe it goes with being obsessed with acquiring material possessions to the exclusion of all else. To me these people are the saddest and most dangerous of all.

We are being trolled. Most of this stuff about abortion is the rich stirring us up, to distract us from things like the ongoing treasonous FOREIGN INVASION OF THE UNITED STATES OVER THE SOUTHERN BORDER. Roe v. Wade was not repealed because of any not-picky legal theories, but specifically to break what had been largely settled and give the Democrats (the party of Wall Street and War) a weapon to use against the Republicans.

Most people support abortion very early in pregnancy, when an embryo looks like a soap bubble, or maybe a fried egg. It might be a potential human being, but it's not a human being - hence the word, potential. Otherwise then indeed you must be against in-vitro fertilization. On the other hand, most people are against abortion in the mid and late term, when the fetus looks and acts like a baby. I recently talked to a woman who is rabidly anti-Trump 'because abortion' and asked if she supported abortion at eight months, and she replied that was disgusting and nobody would agree to that.

Roe v. Wade was abortion on demand early, not so much later. America was mostly OK with this, as are virtually all other 'civilized' western countries. Stare decis. I'm not saying there are people of good faith on both extremes of this issue, but the pushing of abortion as a black and white all or nothing issues is being done by cynical and evil people.

Replies: @DanFromCT, @Supply and Demand, @Gott ist mit Unz, @obwandiyag, @Lemmy Tellyuh, @Pierre de Craon

The fetus is fully human from the moment of fertilization, not something other than human that becomes human at some arbitrary point of someone’s choosing while growing into a full-size baby at delivery. In pregnancy, the moment a woman understands she’s pregnant, she and her husband know there’s a baby in there. They think and say “baby,” as do their friends and relatives. They do not think and say it’s just a worthless aggregation of cells whose destruction through abortion is meaningless if it suits the mother’s “choice.”

In New York almost every member of the state legislature got on his or her feet to cheer a bill allowing abortion up until natural birth, which is the straightforward celebration of infanticide. We look around, waiting for signs of the end even as mainly unmarriageable fat women proclaim the essence of womanhood isn’t having children, but the right to kill them. You may recall that during Trump’s first term, quietly and without notice, the Republicans under Ryan and McConnell fully funded Planned Parenthood while simultaneously denouncing abortion to the folks back home.

From there how easy the transition has been—because of neutered opposition—, so that women demonically bring their children to drag queen story hour where men dress up as female sexual demons in mockery of womanhood for the sole purpose, not of telling stories, but of introducing children to twerking and demonic sex.

It’s also women who’ll persuade their boys they’re girls and girls they’re boys to offer them up on the altar of chemical and surgical sexual mutilation. If anyone’s looking for confirmation it’s the end times for America, this mind-altering female demonism is it. Wars? Destroyed economy? Who cares about that shit when this coming election is being turned into a woman’s proclamation of her “right” to destroy babies and sexually mutilate her children.

I assume you are ignorant of the British Empire in the 19th century shipping Indians by the hundreds of thousands and then the millions to all parts of the Empire. Brit WASP leaders had figured out that while the lower castes of India tended to produce people of below average IQ and work ethic that the higher cases produced large numbers of above average IQ. They could do the work of civil servants for Empire. And the more that Indians could do that work, the less that Brit WASP elites had to even worry about how many of its poorest UK white citizens were trapped in brutal poverty with no way to get out except emigration.

That process is how educated Indians came to hold almost all the most vicious prejudices of the Brit WASP elites against all other whites.

The context was IT jobs. Indians were not needed to develop the software that landed man on the moon in 1969 nor the creative work that led to the development of computers – the field that Ellison and his ilk made their money. They destroy the educational system through preferential treatment given to people who lack the god given talent to do the work and through worthless degrees in worthless subjects and then whine they have to import workers from India.

Indians dominate several IT companies in the US. It's all Indian. It's all Indian names. You call and you hear their awful Indian accent.

I have no idea why that happens. There is no reason why the employees couldn't be White Americans, except, Indians are cheap. They are cheap in both meanings of the word. I worked for Indians, they want to pay peanuts and you can't understand what they are saying.

Trumps wants to bring even more of those street defecators to the US.

Of course, in the UK and Canada they are already taking over.

In the first part of this investigative series, MintPress explores the de facto independent state that has been created by British billionaire and Zionist Joe Lewis, a long-time associate of controversial Hungarian-American financier George Soros. Lewis has essentially bought out the local, regional and even national government of Argentina, allowing him to operate with impunity while he acquires more and more territory through land purchases of dubious (if any) legality, intimidates and threatens locals, usurps crucial water and energy resources from local towns, and operates his own international private airport that no one but he controls.

Subsequent reports in this series will examine the other key players in this effort to create a Patagonian state, namely Argentine oligarchs Marcelo Mindlin and Eduardo Elsztain, who are both deeply connected to the global Zionist lobby and the Rockefeller-founded Americas Society, and are also both close Soros associates. https://www.mintpressnews.com/dark-secret-behind-british-billionaire-joe-lewis-parallel-state-in-argentina-patagonia/256068/

In an ideal world, American Jews would be placed on a reservation in Death Valley with a sophisticated dead man’s switch. All other Jews would be packed off to Israel and then isolated from the rest of the family of nations.

The Jordan Valley could be seen as the archetype because it ends with the Dead Sea which is the lowest point on the surface of the earth and in which nothing lives. This is strongly symbolic for those who believe in sacred geography. The Jordan river was supposed to be a life giving spiritual water for the world but how its ends physically is how it ends spiritually to any culture that allows it in i.e. the entrance to hades and death.

In a recent post I mentioned how late in Egyptian history Set/Seth was described as the god of the Jews. Continuing with the above theme it does not seem mere coincidence that Seth is described as the “god of death” (te Velde, 1967, p. 25) and the desert is his domain – the desert in which the Moses followers encounter their god.

How strange that this new religion of Moses comes not with any promise or hope in an afterlife but instead promises transient wealth confined to this world only. This echoes the descriptor of Set/Seth being the god of death, indeed an Egyptian text describes the hopeful seeker of entry into eternal life declaring “I do not die, Seth has no power over me” (op cit.) yet here we have a group of people who give up hope in eternal life for the ephemeral.

Notice how when Jesus is taken into the desert to be tempted by the devil he is offered the world if he will only worship the devil. Unlike Moses and his followers when taken into the desert, Jesus refuses the offer for elsewhere he declares “For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?” (Mark 8:36). Set/Seth was known as the “god of the desert” (op cit., p. 113).

    E. Michael Jones has described abortion as being a Jewish sacrament due to their influence in the pro death movement. Once again it seems not to be coincidence that Set/Seth is described as “the god who brings about abortion” (op cit, p. 29) . The religion of Moses certainly meant death according to the divinely sanctioned massacres and genocide described in the OT which are even used today by Jews to justify the same deeds.

As for the worship of god involving statues resulting in awry passions all I can say is that Abraham is described in Islamic texts as smashing idols but in the Bible the story is extended and he tries to pimp his wife to the Pharaoh who is shocked at his behaviour (Genesis 12:10-20). I could go but does a rabbi still own porn hub? Even Paul himself says that he suffered from an unspecified thorn in the flesh which many will se as a euphemism. You who preach against the idol worshippers also preached abortion and euthanasia. Recall the NS Aktion T4 in the 30's.?

Came across a lecture today by Christian Egyptologist Jan Assmann who was humble enough to acknowledge that the description of statues (“idols”) and suchlike in the bible betrays a misunderstanding of what they were and their usage in the ancient world. I would put it more bluntly – the OT, and even Paul in the NT, provides no evidence that they were inspired by the very spirit of an omniscient being in their writing when they write in the style of ignorant Jews who cannot understand consecration or veneration v worship because Jeremiah wrote this or Yahweh commanded that.

The Jews are malignancy that only affects Westerners. They've moved elsewhere in the world and their shit just doesn't work there. India, China and Africa. They have no levers on Japan either.

This is a prima facie case for Taylor's passing mention of white altruism as one of the culprits for white decline and coming extinction.

I'm as Jew-aware as the next goy, but your reply kind of bolsters my case. Jews become godlike in the minds of whites, such that they either fall down and worship them and their sky god or the sky god's mortal offspring, or they attribute every evil influence in the world to them. I think this is one of the issues with monotheism, this intense bifurcation of reality.

In an ideal world, American Jews would be placed on a reservation in Death Valley with a sophisticated dead man's switch. All other Jews would be packed off to Israel and then isolated from the rest of the family of nations.

We can never do this because our technology has made whites dumb. We've also continued to breed the shitty strain of altruism which is really just a stratagem for gaining social approval from midwits and retards. These two things when combined with the largesse afforded by technology means there is no hope of whites ever understanding the Jewish problem and dealing with it definitively. Our tech also gives Jews the ability to punch far above their actual weight class.

Throughout European history, the intellectuals have understood the nature of the Jewish contagion and were free to write about it and act upon it. With the arrival of technology, it's no longer possible. We will keep breeding morons until the ecosystem can no longer sustain it. Kamala Harris is the *perfect* candidate for America, a total shit for brains who is custom made for the American electorate. Destiny dictates she will win over the game show host Trump in November.

Technology is a god and it's one that is already failing. The nature of material reality is that we are and will eventually exhaust the planet of the resources needed to maintain the dysgenics racket and we will likely go back to a hunter-gatherer existence. Maybe a few whites will come out on the other end.

And no, there is no AI that is going to awaken one day and figure out how to tow asteroids into orbit, cure cancer and stupidity, etc.

To Trump’s credit he didn’t drop a nuclear bomb on Iran or start a war with Iran. Shelly Adelson wanted the US embassy moved to Jerusalem and the Iran nuclear deal killed; I think he got those. Shelly Adelson said let’s drop a nuke on Iran as a demonstration of resolve or strength or determination or some other damn thing and Trump said why don’t you try the Trump Tower Taco Bowl instead.

Tom Cruise, the big-nosed midget, is making popcorn muncher propaganda movies about bombing the crud out of Iran and about 10 years ago the departed Jew Republican Party briber(donor) Shelly Adelson was talking about using ICBMs launched from the USA to detonate a nuclear bomb in the Iranian desert to convince the Iranians to give up their nuclear weapons program.

Trump should be praised for refusing to detonate an ICBM delivered nuclear weapon in the Iranian desert as requested or suggested by the late Uncle Shelly Adelson. It was swell of Trumpy when Trumpy was president of the USA to resist Adelson’s suggestion to attack Iran with a nuclear weapon.

You pick up your cell phone, and– what are they called– [Boteach: roaming charges] Roaming charges. You pick up your cell phone and you call somewhere in Nebraska and you say, ‘OK let it go.’ So there’s an atomic weapon, goes over ballistic missiles, the middle of the desert, that doesn’t hurt a soul. Maybe a couple of rattlesnakes, and scorpions, or whatever.

And then you say, ‘See! The next one is in the middle of Tehran. So, we mean business. You want to be wiped out? Go ahead and take a tough position and continue with your nuclear development. [Applause] You want to be peaceful? Just reverse it all, and we will guarantee you that you can have a nuclear power plant for electricity purposes, energy purposes.’

"I’m not satisfied with these explanations."

Well, I've heard this too many times from JT.

So far as I know, JT has never once considered that Whites (Europeans) have been most deeply influenced by the religion that tells them to "love your enemy."

Hmmm...how puzzling...Whites are taught Sermon on the Mount and then they are "pathologically" or "suicidally" altruistic. They turn the other cheek (as instructed by a Jew) when Jews, Niggers, and Spics strike them.

    Hmmm....

JT, I know your parents were Christ-inane missionaries in Japan...but, "physician, heal thyself!"

The Sermon on the Mount, which the Goy disproportionately take to heart, is the source of your more scientific (quackery): pathological altruism. Race suicide. Meekness..."Do not resist an evil person"... Shall inherit eternal glory.

    Hmmmm....

JT can be so self-confessedly and ostentatiously "puzzled" or "mystified" because he doesn't even have a grasp of Nietzsche's Genealogy of Morality, pretty much the ABCs of understanding Jew-flavored, Sklavenmoral, modern Western Civilization. Study of that slim book alone would certainly lead Monsieur T to rue the existence, or at least career, or his Christ (Jew)-insane parents.

We can all make our guesses why JT won't seriously consider Christ-INANITY as the source of Whites suicide. I'd like to think he has made some strategic calculation. In other words, he would wink at these comments of mine.

“Far from excluding the “Jewish question,” Hitler put it front and center. Receiving the representative of the German Bishops’ Conference, Bishop Wilhelm Berning of Osnabrück, in audience on April 26, Hitler declared: “I have been attacked because of my handling of the Jewish question. The Catholic Church considered the Jews pestilent for fifteen hundred years, put them in ghettos, etc., because it recognized the Jews for what they were. In the epoch of liberalism the danger was no longer recognized. I am moving back toward the time in which a fifteen-hundred-year-long tradition was implemented. I do not set race over religion, but I recognize the representatives of this race as pestilent for the state and for the Church, and perhaps I am thereby doing Christianity a great service by pushing them out of schools and public functions.” The transcript that records these remarks contains no response by Bishop Berning. This is hardly surprising: for a Catholic Bishop in 1933 there was really nothing terribly objectionable in this historically correct reminder. And on this occasion, as always, Hitler was concealing his true intentions.

In his article Rhonheimer says this about himself.

I am conscious of a double loyalty. I am a Catholic priest—but I come from a family that is three-quarters Jewish.

In another interesting passage of his article Rhonheimer reacts to remarks Pius XII made on June 2, 1945 about his predecessor’s famous 1937 encyclical Mit brennender Sorge.

Astonishingly, there is not a single reference in this allocution [Pius XII’s remarks of 1945], delivered a month after the end of the war in Europe, to the slaughter of millions of Jews.

Why did Pius XII not take note in 1945 of the ‘slaughter of millions of Jews’? Was it because millions of jews had not been slain? Was it because the myth had not yet been born?

Euro Whites have brought this upon themselves. They forcibly imported and exploited Negroes from the Stone Age in Africa, for short term gain and promotion of lavish lifestyles. They have suffered and been misused by Jews for over 2 millennia and still remain prone and servile and submissive today; outnumbered at least 50 to 1. And the acceleration started in Germany-Austria, where they were nurtured like greenhouse flowers and poisonous Deadly Nightshade, constantly consumed and masochistically enamored of sickness and pillory. Pacific, Light and Power, the public utility company of California, sought, brought over a large group of Hindoo IT techs and professionals to manage their utility. The present employees were all American citizens, and of course 90% White. Later, some would reply that they were lifelong Democrats and believed California and company officials that they would be retained. They were required to TRAIN the Hindoos in their jobs! To refuse would mean instant dismissal with no severance pay, benefits, etc. So, they did and the Hidoos took over, and they were dismissed.
Such an action requires the illegal misapplication and overlooking the provisions of the H-1 Visa, which is to be used when American workers can not fill the vacancies. But the jobs were filled simply to lower labor costs-which are under attack in the West from large consolidated financialized companies to increase profit, increase stock value, and provide collateral for the next acquisition.

Good comment, and Taylor has been criticized for this for years. Perhaps someday he will turn.

Still, the wicked Jews have been aided in their plot by millions of goyem Whites who lack the sense of urgency, manliness, and courage that Taylor correctly recognizes has been largely lost. The Jews are to blame, but not solely. Atheists are to blame. Liberals are to blame. Freemasons are to blame. And all of these parties are interrelated, either in part or in whole, as they are all bringing about Satan's master plan of dismantling the logos of Christ.

The spirit of the age is also to blame. The post-WW2 period, with its civil rights regime, is to blame - but this period doesn't come out of nowhere. It arose in response to earlier attacks on western, Christian culture from the above groups. Read 19th century encyclicals by Leo 13 on the enemies of the Church and the west - they read like a roadmap for today. And those enemies proceeded from the Enlightenment, its focus on 'progress', its discarding of the past, its rejection of Christ. But the Enlightenment was itself merely an expression of modernity, taking the atheistic scientific knowledge forged from people like Bruno (championed in Taylor's essay!) and applying it to governance. The assault came from men like Luther (championed by Taylor!). It came from our founding fathers, few of whom were anything other than religious radicals.

So... yes, the JEWS are to be blamed, but the story is far more complex than merely this. The answer lies with the only force that truly rejected the Jewish/atheistic/satanic forces - the Catholic faith.

Eliot in the Wasteland observed “I had not thought death had undone so many” (youngsters today might not realise that Eliot was hugely influential in mainstream literature until the Jews gained total and absolute control of the West in recent decades – he recognised the Jews for what they were and has now been cancelled) but spiritual death is the norm today.

There is a famous text in Ancient Egyptian literature which predates the “to be or not be” soliloquy of Hamlet. Hamlet, from a traditional Christian, Catholic, background suggests that it might only make things worse by choosing deliberately the exit door to this life (which was carried over into Islam). Despite the best efforts of woke homosexual academics today (who have to suppress the explicit warnings about sodomy in Ancient Egyptian texts) the traditional interpretation of that text, which predates the birth of Jesus by almost 2,000 years, seems to indicate that whilst not desirable it is excusable and the person will retain what Jews do not have in this life – a conscience or soul.

Violence comes through what seems a fault line (natural to some) in human beings which Christians say is a side effect of original sin i.e. there was once a state of harmony when there was no suffering (“when the thorn did not sting” in an Ancient Egyptian text). Religious based violence is not exclusively a monotheistic phenomena . When monotheism first appears in history (in the opinion of many, the short lived Amarna period in Ancient Egypt), it is associated with violence. Nevertheless, it seems hugely magnified in the Abrahamic religions in which divinely sanctioned massacres are baked into the earliest texts.

Those earliest texts are considered by many to be the very or inspired word of god, the inerrant and infallible truth which must be implemented wherever possible because error has no rights. This added a new layer to mankinds excuse for hating their neighbor, coveting their goods and control freakery.

The two converge in this case. Even if a person chooses what seems to be a materialistic solution for all the events which are the routine subject matter on UR, a matrix like knowledge, then they may also note two things – the events which pour out non stop into the claimed sim are uniformly bad as a first approximation and this gives away the attributes of the sim programmer i.e. evil.

But if unquestionably, from the perspective of the average UR commentator, this is so then it is evidence of something innate which opposes that evil and which is good. Sure people may argue about the malleability of human perception of what is good and evil but in this very heightened state of awareness, acutely aware through the daily torrent of suffering in which the said evil seems unconstrained, it is hard not recognize there is good and there is evil and no amount of shifting the context into a sim world can detract from that. The sim world scenario is itself an evil concept designed to cause suffering and is opposed to the good.

Antisemitism is probably going to be on the rise for years to come in the U.S. due to the combination of external factors, internal ones, and the First Amendment. Ron Unz hints at a possible joining of forces by the Left and the Right. That's a real possibility. The end result of all that might be a 180º shift which would place the U.S. as the most powerful antisemitic country in the world.
That would also probably entail a new alignment of world powers. Europe would probably distance itself from the U.S., as its severe laws agains antisemitic discourse and Holocaust denial would prevent it from taking the same course as the U.S.. Also, Europe is experiencing a shift in an opposite direction, with pro-Israel rightwing parties on the rise.
That would possibly steer Europe towards Russia, who is pro-Israel and philosemitic, though in a more pragmatic manner than Western Europe, e.g., Russia is friendly towards Iran, which is an anti-Israel and Holocaust denying country. An alliance between Europe and Russia would also probably mean an alliance between Europe and China, but that's a little more speculative.
That rearrangement of alignments would put the U.S. in a very isolated position. That is a dangerous situation, but an antisemitic U.S.A. would not necessarily resemble Nazi Germany, because the U.S. has lots of territory and thus wouldn't be in need for 'living space'. The U.S. would probably concentrate its imperialist energies in Latin America. A war with Canada wouldn't be a far fetched hypothesis.
Also, it is unclear whether American antisemitism would have racist connotations. That's where the Right differs from the Left. The former is antisemitic because it is racist; the latter is antisemitic because it is anti-racist. Both coming to terms over this particular point is essential for their peaceful cohabitation.

once we successfully pierce some of the false narratives constructed by our dishonest media we should always consider the possibility that we are still trapped within another such layer of narrative, much deeper but equally false, and use the power of analogy as a tool to unravel those illusions.

So the Jews literally create our reality through the media, tell it to our faces with films like The Matrix (revelation of the method), but when we take the red pill and think we "got it", then the Jews come back to us and reveal something else: "but that's not all you get... there's more!" Sounds like a Ginsu knife commercial: "But wait... there's still more! "

So now we must deal with The Thirteenth Floor scenario: the Jews are telling us that, even if we get redpilled, even if we think we've got some grip on reality, we've been duped again because that particular reality is not the "real" reality. Even the supposedly "awakened ones" like us here at TUR are really just like the normies: we are, like them, also within a Jew-created reality, except we're on an "upper" layer of lies. Damn. That's hard to swallow. How many goddamned Jew layers are there? Is it Jew-Jew-Jew lies all the way down?

I don’t have to explain to a Muslim the mixed blessing.

  • @Mefobills

I noted that this very unusual behavior by Jewish Israelis seemed best explained by the underlying religious and ideological characteristics of traditional Judaism, which for nearly two thousand years has regarded all non-Jews as totally sub-human, whose only value is to serve as Jewish slaves:

The Aiparu had prices but no value. Think of it like a video game, where they plugged in and level upped, gaining power.

The power was like a permanent battery, where silver fetched 3X the gold in India than it did in the west. Plugging into the mechanism was prices but no value, basically usury.

All civilizations are at war within, as they can be divided roughly 60:20:20. Sixty percent are normies who are NPC's waiting for their download. 20 percent are free thinkers and tend to have a moral core. Then there are another 20% who exhibit narcissism, sociopathy, and psychopathy. Of that 20% are people who are money-sick, who have no loss of wants, who self-aggrandize. The Aiparu promoted this 20 percent with their price but no value theories. This was easy for them because they were plugged into the battery, getting easy money via usury, as they arbitraged the gold/silver exchange at the Bosporus crossing.

They used their easy takings to pervert Israel. Think of the Aiparu merchant class, as the worst sort of humans, the devil sitting on your shoulder, whose voice isn't quiet, but instead is loud and magnified by money power. They do everything in their power to say that debt isn't sin, that prices and money come first, production is only a knock on effect. Seen this way, Karl Marx was an anti-Semite, as he promoted classical economy (which includes value theory) as did Hitler.

Israel being located on the routes, and the "merchant class" coming to dominate the routes, meant that 20 percent of the good guys in Israel were at a permanent disadvantage. You can clearly see this in the Parthian war, where Trajan went north, and interdicted the Aiparu. They then sent out their signals, and normie Jews went nuts, doing a massacre on the Greeks and Romans. Later, when Rome went into Jerusalem - ho hum, no response.

You can ascertain the internal battles in the religion, especially with Moses early on, trying to reign in the "golden calf" people. When the Torah was written down, in the axial bronze age - around 500 BC, the Jubilee was coded in Deuteronomy and Leviticus. Debt was sin, and you were not allowed to take usury using debt mechanics. Leviticus priestly document said to the Israelites, you are strangers and guests on my land. The land is not to be put into debts and on-sold and held by the creditor class (the Aiparu). The bond servants (those put into debts) are to be released, to then return to the land, to farm it (produce value), to then prevent starvation.

The religious and ideological characteristics was the same as all populations, but with the Aiparu sitting on their shoulder, and said Aiparu devils (merchant class) having been leveled up!, the Jews never had a chance. The entire edifice of false economy using money magick usury comes straight from this merchant class trying to create a false religion, which then acts as a cover and shield.

Other areas of the world, where the god-king city states predominated, value was not erased from conscious. Jews especially, evolved a predatory construct - and it didn't help that the worst humans in other parts of the world would partner with Jews to take usury on their own populations.

For example, the Norman Kings imported Jews as tax farmers against the English. The Polish minor nobles used Jews similarly. Our Aiparu friends had a steady diet of "powering up." A steady diet of price without value theory, and erasing usury from conscious and religion, has not been good for humanity.

Aiparu means minor merchant in Egyptian. The god-kings of Egypt were in control, and the merchant did not get the upper hand despite the exodus story (which is probably made up by the Aiparu to self-aggrandize).

Seen this way, Karl Marx was an anti-Semite, as he promoted classical economy (which includes value theory) as did Hitler.

In the chapter entitled “My Soul is Chosen for Hell,” Kengor provides excerpts from the demonic poetry and prose of Marx—written several years before his Communist Manifesto (1848)—in which he waxed poetic about “the hellish vapors that rise and fill the brain, Till I go mad and my heart is utterly changed. See this sword? The Prince of Darkness sold to me. For me he beats the time and gives the signs. Ever more boldly I play the dance of death.” Remarking on that poem, entitled “The Player,” Kengor notes, “The blood violinist is not destroying the world because he hates it, but is doing so in order to spite God, out of derision and mockery against the Creator. He is a rebel, like Satan, the ultimate rebel against God and Heaven.” Marxism does the same by destroying the world as it exists, creating a new world in which God is destroyed and man is elevated.

The antipathy toward religion for Marx emerged in college. Marx’s family was originally Jewish—with several rabbis in the family from the nineteenth century back to at least the late seventeenth century. But, under the social pressures of the times, Marx’s father left Judaism and converted to Protestantism and had all of his children baptized in the Christian faith. However, by age twenty-three Marx was an atheist—and was beginning to write approvingly of those who denigrated religion. He wrote his dissertation about the ancient Roman philosopher Lucretius (d. 94 BC) who condemned “the burden of oppressive religion,” suggesting that “Religion lies at our feet, completely defeated.”

In a rejection of his own family heritage, Marx held great contempt toward all Jews. Kengor points out that Marx, in one of his letters to a friend, wrote that the “Israelite faith is repulsive to me.” https://www.catholicworldreport.com/2020/08/17/a-disturbing-guide-to-the-devilish-karl-marx/

That is not to deny we appear to be living in a nightmare at present but there is a difference between “I think, therefore I am” and “I am , therefore I think” and a metaphysical explanation maybe inclines more to the good rather than the Matrix which to a skeptic cannot be proved either.

Exactly, especially since eternal life was never part of the Sinai covenant. That whole passage reads like a Judaizing insert. The line which appears in the Ancient Egyptian text is “The majesty of Horus lives as the King, salvation and health are with him”. For Christians Jesus is the divine King in whom there is salvation – not Jews or Judaism, their flag, their donations, their media, their blackmail or their bribes even though modern Christianity gives that appearance.

It should read 2000 bc. The 1130CT is a reference to the hieroglyphic source text. It depends what you mean by “great”. If you mean by number or influence then no. When I used the word "great" I didn't at the time realize that I was being sarcastic but on rethinking I was. As an aside Bobby Fischer, the US world chess champion, said that the only hope in this war by the spirit of Talmudic Jewry against the world was similar to Beaverbrook. It was the RCC who buried him when he had been ostracised by the Jewish controlled media and his own country. His practice partner during the World Chess championships was a RCC priest. …5For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as there are many so-called gods and lords), 6yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we exist. And there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we exist. 7But not everyone has this knowledge. 1 Corinthians 15:

    https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Corinthians%2015
20 But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. 22 For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. 23 But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him. 24 Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. 25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27 For he “has put everything under his feet.” Now when it says that “everything” has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. 28 When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.

    Romans 1:

    https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans%201&version=NKJV

    God’s Wrath on Unrighteousness
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.

24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

I could go but does a rabbi still own porn hub? Even Paul himself says that he suffered from an unspecified thorn in the flesh which many will se as a euphemism. Came across a lecture today by Christian Egyptologist Jan Assmann who was humble enough to acknowledge that the description of statues ("idols") and suchlike in the bible betrays a misunderstanding of what they were and their usage in the ancient world. I would put it more bluntly - the OT, and even Paul in the NT, provides no evidence that they were inspired by the very spirit of an omniscient being in their writing when they write in the style of ignorant Jews who cannot understand consecration or veneration v worship because Jeremiah wrote this or Yahweh commanded that.

    Mr. Korn,

Is it true that “Olam” does not mean “eternity,” but it translates as “the Unknown?”

Is it true that there is no concept of eternity in Judaism?

Is it true that El Shadday or El Shaddai means “one of great power” or “one to be feared” and not the Almighty Lord?

Is it true that the original Hebrew/Greek texts which were condensed into the Torah/New Testament openly describe multiple “beings” rather than one G-d?

Regarding questions 1-6, how does one rid oneself of any deleterious force imbedded within without actual force? If the splinters won’t leave or acquiesce of their own volition? What is to be done with those who seek to destroy what the majority has built and wishes to preserve?

I think the real meaning of “sins of the father” is that everyone does indeed suffer when they are ruled by a “father” who is ill equipped to lead; if a man gambles away his livelihood and defaults on his mortgage, his children indeed suffer for his sin, so on. So, if Organized Jewry wreaks havoc amongst Gentile nations, and they offer their own as fodder, what is a Gentile to do?

This seems a very reasonable pov and would come under the heading sebayt literature but the biblical text describes it as their god actively doing it “I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, and on the third and the fourth generations “. It could be argued that he withholds grace but being omnipotent that seems unjust to the children.

As an aside a “jealous god” also makes an appearance in Ancient Egyptian texts and is known as Set/Seth and late in Egyptian history he is equated with the god of the Jews as mentioned in an earlier comment.

There is a very weird phenomenon which seems to affect people with partial Jewish ancestry, especially when they discover it late in life. They seem to change their behavior and become sort of enamored of Jews. One case I've mentioned a couple of times is that of Puerto Rican journalist Lee Smith. In his case his Jewish ancestry is purely hypothetical, but nevertheless it seems to have had a huge influence on his political positions.
Hitchens is another case in question. He is only 1/32 Jewish, but reportedly came to identify as a Jew late in life.
These people seem to turn into de facto Super-Jews, more identified with Jews even than actual Jews.
I think the explanation is that actual Jews face their condition in a much more down-to-earth manner, and those imaginary Jews, due to having little or no contact with real Jewish life, idealize, perhaps even idolize, Jewishness considerably.
I suppose that is at least an approximate explanation also for Christian Zionism.

The response was perfectly pertinent and it's very imprudent of you to try to choke off the light of God illuminating these discussions. You will see that it will not go well for you.

Jack McArthur posted information common to Jewish and Muslim opponents of Christianity attempting to portray Jesus and Paul as false prophets at best or as liars and deceivers at worst. I provided a succinct refutation of that position. Why do you permit darkness to penetrate your website while actively opposing the spreading of light?

Hoping your conscience has been pricked I will repost my response to McArthur:

Paul also believe[d] the return of Jesus was imminent, which indirectly confirms the words the gospels attributed to Jesus that he would return in the lifetime of his listeners and bring the curtain down on this world but it did not happen.

I am familiar with this claim of both Jews and Muslims to invalidate the New Testament. The Jews go further and say that this "unfulfilled" prophecy proves that Jesus was a false prophet worthy of death.

However I think there's a very simple explanation: the end of the age refers to the destruction of the Jerusalem Temple in 70 AD by the Romans. That was a truly apocalyptic event for the Jews. Note that the New Testament is like a Greek or Shakesperian tragedy in which all the protagonists die tragic deaths (even Judas iscariot). Jesus of course plus all the apostles, including Paul who was beheaded in Rome. Jerusalem was destroyed in fire and so was Rome a few years earlier. According to Josephus one million Jews died in the Roman assault on Jerusalem. Many others were taken captive. I think it's perfectly legitimate to understand that the expectation of the end or the eschaton by Jesus and Paul refers to this event.

The Jews do a similar thing when Jesus points to the Jerusalem Temple and tells his disciples that not one stone will be left upon another. Jewish anti-missionaries point to the Western Wall as repudiation of another prophecy of Jesus. But the Western Wall was not part of the Temple proper; it was an outer retaining wall. I think this kind of disputation against the credibility of the New Testament is a good example of straining out a gnat and swallowing a camel.

Maybe some devout Catholics like Al Ligouri could provide some perspective. But in my humble opinion Jesus did return in 70 AD to render judgment on both Jerusalem and Rome that had executed him unjustly. All other claims are simply missing the forest for the trees.

This book by an American Orthodox Jewish rabbi portrays both Jesus and Paul as legitimate Jewish saints who were trying to stave off the destruction of Jerusalem and the nation. He argues that the main point of Jesus and Paul was to tear down the animosity between Jews and Gentiles and particularly by Jews against Gentiles:
    https://www.amazon.com/Jesus-Pharisee-New-Look-Jewishness/dp/1592443133

The book was published by the Catholic publishing company Paulist Press. The author died a suspicious death shortly after it was published to the horror and disapproval of most Orthodox Jews, who are loathe to say anything positive about Jesus or Christianity.

    Respectfully, Michael Korn

It is hard to silence the voice of conscience no matter the barriers that can be erected to keep out the light so whilst the earlier texts do indeed read as demonic e.g. visiting the sins on to the 3rd or 4th generations nevertheless the later texts seem to teach something different. Using search AI “In ancient Mesopotamian and Egyptian societies, there were various rankings of wives, with a primary wife (usually the first wife) holding superior status. Hagar, as a secondary wife or concubine, would have had an inferior status to Sarah.”

The statement, of itself, remains insufficient as a means of divesting Ishmael of his inheritance rights, at least when considering the totality of content in Genesis.

Given the well established biblical position that inheritance rights of the first born are to be honored irrespective of a wife's personal standing [Deut. 21: 15-17], the effort to denigrate Hagar as a woman of 'inferior status' becomes awkward when considering the multitude of biblical verses in which all descendants of Abraham, including those of Ishmael, are favored by God's promise.

Significantly, the promise of Gen. 12: 2-3 was reaffirmed on the heels of Ishmael's birth [Gen 17: 4], four chapters before the birth of Isaac in Genesis 21, and in the 13th and 18th verses of Gen. 21, God is said to explicitly prophesy that Ishmael's descendants will become a 'great nation', which actually happened.

Moreover, there is a glaring contradiction between Gen. 22: 2, in which God is purported to call Isaac Abraham's 'only son' and Gen. 16: 15, where Ishmael is clearly described as a son of Abraham.

While reference to the 'covenant' appears exclusive to Isaac [Gen 17: 19], a good deal of interfaith contention arises over the precise meaning of this term. To Jews, it is God's promise of eternal favor upon them. To Christians, fulfillment thereof depends upon Jewish acknowledgement of Jesus as their lord and savior. To Muslims, fulfillment thereof depends upon Jewish obedience to God's Law, which requires their recognition of the Messenger of the Covenant [Gen. 49: 10], explicitly named in Song of Songs 15: 6. As such, it's a Jewish distinction, but one conditioned by Jewish obligation to fulfill God's terms therein.

Most importantly, that distinction does not deprive Ishmael's progeny of the favor God promised to Abraham.

I'm familiar with Jochen Katz's website, to which Michael Korn links. Went there many years ago. Personally, I don't find his arguments persuasive, though I'm not inclined to delve further into any one of his many claims for the time being.

The 'ark of salvation' article link needed correction? Strange. It worked fine for me.

It's preface is egregiously polemic, I agree, yet the analysis remains academically sound. It takes thick skin for people of faith to engage in this kind of discussion, since it unavoidably requires challenging deeply held convictions. Best to be as clinical as possible, avoiding emotive interjection to the extent one can, though it's likely impossible to avoid some measure of opinionated expression, however subtle.

Thank you once again for the time and consideration you've given here. Much appreciated.

    Replies: @muh muh, @Jack McArthur

My understanding of why Isaac is the only son is echoed by Paul:

Gal 4:22 For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by the slave woman and the other by the free woman. 23 His son by the slave woman was born according to the flesh, but his son by the free woman was born as the result of a divine promise.

A while back, when I believed “the book” was the word of god, I too accepted that the kindly promise given to Hagar and Ishmael (maybe born of impatience of Sarah – surrogacy appears in Ancient Egypt), relating to a “great nation” to come, was made actual with the Arabs and Islam, but scripture tends to be too accommodating and vague such that it allows a flourishing industry in claimed prophecy fulfilment.

If it is the same omnipotent god in all three religions – Judaism, Christianity and Islam – then that omnipotence is negated by the fact of their being three religions and what they have done to each other. The link given to the Ark website doesn’t fill me confidence as being an expert and reliable source based on the burb for his book “Whoever You Thought You Were…You’re A Jew!” no matter how well intentioned https://www.amazon.com/dp/0692252886 I am not a Jew nor a person of the book.

I believe there is a very strong spiritual presence in all three religions and that their respective books can be mediums for each spirit however, they are not reconcilable and I no longer believe that the source of all goodness I still hope in ever sanctioned that.

This is my way of exiting as I have no mind for apologetics or being sucked into defending what I no longer believe. Thanks again for the polite exchange.

I am a Jewish convert to Christianity. I lived in the Orthodox Jewish community in Israel for many years prior to my baptism, so I also encountered Muslims and over the years have learned about Islam. I am familiar with the general thrust of claims that Muhammad fulfilled various Messianic promises of Jesus in the Old and New Testament, particularly with regard to the coming of the Holy Spirit. In the New Testament Greek this is called the Paraclete, or Helper. Muslims have claimed that the true word should Paraclute or Praised One, which is the meaning of Muhammad. This might be helpful:
    https://www.answering-islam.org/Index/P/paraclete_and_periklutos.html

My view of Islam is like that of E Michael Jones, that it's a Christian heresy and a kind of Unitarianism. Also I believe that Islam was a reformist movement against the corruption of Byzantine Christianity akin to the Protestant Reformation vs the RCC. I have prayed in mosques in airports and find them to be spiritually conducive. I like Islamic calligraphy. I don't like formalized Muslim prayers which seem robotic to me. I admire their removing shoes and washing upon entering the mosque. Ancient churches in the Holy Land have been found with evidence of a washing trough at the entrance.

I believe Muslims have many righteous practices although their theology seems dubious to me. Contrariwise Christians have a compelling theology but their practices are often ungodly and wicked. Muslims understand the necessity of modesty in dress and conduct far better than Christians.

In Jewish law a Jew may pray (his own Hebrew prayers) inside a mosque but may not even stand silently inside a church (due to graven images, especially in Orthodoxy and Catholicism). Judaism traditionally was much closer to Islam than to Christianity but Zionism has turned that on its head. Many of the original anti-Zionist rabbis opposed the movement not only because it was led by secular Jews but because they feared its alliance with Evangelical Christianity. They considered Zionism a latter day Frankist movement that would seek to subvert Judaism surreptitiously with Christian values. After the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting a few years back, the Israeli government dispatched a minister who pissed off the American Jewish community by referring to the site as a Jewish cultural center rather than a synagogue (because it wasn't Orthodox). He then explained that Israel's two most important demographics are Orthodox Jews and Evangelical Christians and that therefore the vast bulk of American Jewry don't count to Israel except as ATM machines for Zionism.

This is a picture I designed fusing the Hebrew and Arabic names of God:

"Seth, or Set, Ancient Egyptian god and patron of the 11th nome, or province, of Upper Egypt. A trickster, he was a sky god, lord of the desert, and master of storms, disorder, and warfare. He was the brother of Osiris, whom he killed, and he was antagonistic to Horus, the child of Osiris’s sister, Isis. Seth’s cult largely died out in the 1st millennium bc, and he was gradually ousted from the Egyptian pantheon. He was later regarded as entirely evil and identified as a god of the Persians and other invaders of Egypt". (Britannica)

“We sent Our messengers with clear signs, the Scripture and the Balance, so that people could uphold justice: We also sent iron, with its mighty strength and many uses for mankind,so that God could mark out those who would help Him” (57:25)

One of the most famous scenes in Ancient Egyptian iconography/papyri is that of the balance in the Hall of Justice (Maat), which describes how the righteous enter into eternal life after their deeds are weighed in the balance.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maat#Afterlife

Interestingly, the reference to iron in this context means something definite whereas it is not so clear to me what the marking out means within the confines of Quran (in Egypt it is the instrument which opens the mouth of the righteous when entering eternal life.) Set/Seth is explicitly associated with iron in Ancient Egyptian texts as mentioned in the previous comment along with allusions to his mighty strength. Furthermore, and most unusually, he is also called the Lord of Maat (Justice) in a variant of an important later text (17BDROF). The popular press are often running stories of lusty Muslims at work with non Muslim women and lust certainly is a characteristic of Seth in Ancient Egyptian texts as are some other attributes of Ishmael in the biblical text as mentioned in the previous post (p. 20, hieratic p. BM, p. 20)

Just FYI, I was born and raised Christian, so a lot of what you present is already familiar to me. I wouldn't exactly call myself Muslim, since I don't agree with some of what is considered 'settled by consensus' -- like capital punishment for apostasy and blasphemy -- though my Muslim colleagues try hard to persuade me that such disagreement wouldn't disqualify me were I so willing to embrace the faith.

I've spent over three decades studying Islam and Muslim culture as part of my profession, which is how I've become so familiar with it. I admit partiality toward it, though I do my best to explain the pragmatic reasons for this when asked.

In any event... In The Bible, Hagar (Hajar) is specifically referred to as a wife of Abraham [Gen 16: 3], accruing all rights that would have been accorded to her as such. It isn't the text itself, but biblical exegetes who have besmirched her as a 'concubine' or 'lesser wife'. The Hebrew word for concubine isn't even used in that verse.

A Christian website, the content of which I cannot entirely vouch for, includes a fascinating article on Genesis 16: 12 (not 16: 1, as you referenced), one which delves deeply into the Hebrew terminology and grammar of the verse to conclude that the accurate rendering of the first portion should be:

"He will be a fruitful man: his hand shall be with everyone, and every man's hand shall be with him, ..."

It's a good argument, and it dovetails well with the view that Gen. 26: 4 has been historically fulfilled by the descendants of Ishmael, whose numbers have since come to dominate the 'Promised Land' referenced in the verse -- not as Christians, but as Muslims. The Jewish perspective of Ishmael as a 'wild ass' is a straightforward case of exegetical corruption, one indicative more of confirmation bias than an honest reading of the text.

As for abrogation, Muslims traditionally hold that Qur'an 33: 4's reference to Muhammad as 'The Seal of the Prophets' implies that the message of The Qur'an itself is the last and final verbal revelation of God, which would obviate divine abrogation of it. That said, there are hadith that allude to some dreams being a small fraction of revelation itself, and others averring that those who know God are the heirs of the prophets; as such, the Muslim still affirms the potential of revelation which, by comprehensive understanding, would not supplant The Qur'an.

Regarding the 'rediscovery' to which you refer, there is no scholarly consensus that the complete Pentateuch was found intact; in fact, the matter distills to nothing more than speculation.

Frankly, I wouldn't premise any argument for divine authorship on the time it took to complete a text. My own affinity for Islam is much simpler to explain in that, when read in conjunction with biblical scripture, it coalesces more with the latter's central theme of God's singularity, eschewing dogma entirely anathema to that affirmation. For me, as for many, it's trinitarian dogma that is the most problematic aspect of Christianity, not only having obvious pagan antecedents, but flagrantly contradicting the foundational commandment of The Decalogue. Ultimately, it just makes no sense, and it's been a large reason many former Christians have become Muslim.

I don't have a crib sheet handy, but a quick search got me this:

The meaning of Isaac name is commonly linked to Sarah who laughed when told that the very long awaited son would be given due to her advanced age - for Jews and Christians another example of how a whole stream of incidentals supports their texts.

The anachronistic use of Pharaoh (per aha in Egyptian) is also subject to dispute between Christians and Muslims but that is not the point at hand - it seems inconceivable that the name of such an important figure in the Exodus story should be omitted if known (the divine author is omniscient in Muslim and Jewish belief) and this is especially so in the bible which does name other pharaohs but not the most important one of all.

There is a most curious appearance in an ancient Egyptian text c. 2000 which recalls Quranic passages which mention the "outcast" (81:25/576) , Gabriel who spans the horizon (81:22/576) , who is of great strength (81:20/631), and the association with iron "with its mighty strength" (57:25/21pt) who is Seth/Set in the Egyptian /texts. The latter is sometimes described as the original trickster god who in the late period of Ancient Egyptian history becomes a kind of proto Satan in the eyes of some - indeed I gather the Temple of Set today teaches that Satan is really Set.

As an aside late in Egyptian history there is an surviving oracle of Isis which says the god of the Jews was really Set and they must be evicted (as once the Hyksos were in the only Exodus know to history and archeology). In the gospels Jesus tells the Jews their father is the devil which some may find resonates with the above..

Earlier in Egyptian history, although always an ambiguous figure, Set is reconciled in and through the Horus King (Egypt was not dualistic).

"We sent Our messengers with clear signs, the Scripture and the Balance, so that people could uphold justice: We also sent iron, with its mighty strength and many uses for mankind,so that God could mark out those who would help Him" (57:25)

BM, p. 20)

FWIW, the title 'Pharaoh' means 'Great House' in its original tongue.

In reading The Qur'an in Arabic, one is struck by the fact that many names and words also bear a meaning. 'Ishaq' (Isaac), for example, means 'God laughs', while 'Isma'il' (Ishmael) is translated as 'God hears'. The term 'shajara', which means 'tree' also shares a root with the word that means 'contention'.

This gives rise to a depth of hermetic meaning that remains entirely concealed in English translations, one which becomes evident when God's command not to approach the tree becomes one proscribing argument, ostensibly with God Himself.

History lessons in The Qur'an are less about archaeologically verified minutia than they are about teaching the reader how to understand himself and his species in the grand scheme of things. I'd say The Bible's genuine value is quite similar.

I have no horse in this race but Isaac is the only one that makes sense.

    I don't see why.

'And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these lands; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed' ~ Genesis 26: 4

First of all, there simply haven't been that many Jews on earth to use this kind of language in reference to them. Second, 'these lands' is in reference to the Promised Land delineated between the Nile and Euphrates Rivers, and at no point in Jewish history do we find fulfillment of this prophecy; yet through the descendants of Ishmael, we do.

The Quran was dictated in a very short period but even so changes were made and texts abrogated – the Quran itself says so.

This is a mischaracterization of Islamic history, at least as Muslims typically present it.

Yes, there are Muslims who, in citing verses of abrogation, hold that some verses in The Qur'an abrogate earlier ones. However, there is no scholarly consensus on the matter, neither as to which verses these should be, nor the exact amount of them. The more cogent view tends to be that those verses alluding to abrogation intend the abrogated verse to be that of previous scripture. For example, until The Qur'an, there was no mercy clause included with the prescribed penalty for murder in The Torah. According to the doctrine of abrogation, The Qur'an's directive superseded this Torah Law.

This doesn't mean Jews and Christians can't apply their own jurisprudence; it simply means they are free to apply that of Islam if they so choose.

The OT was written over a much longer period of time with many different hands at work. The Dead Sea scrolls are described as showing a good fidelity of text transmission

Biblical history itself tells us that its record had to be rewritten, since Nebudchadnezzar's destruction of Jerusalem would have also destroyed it; its recomposition predates the Dead Sea Scrolls by centuries.

Last I visited Hagia Sophia was in its museum phase. Quite impressive. I suppose the exception to the general rule concerned its exceptional character, being the most imposing structure in the city. I don't have access to any record of legal deliberations that occurred over its eventual fate in 1453, and I'm not in any position to decide what, if anything, should be done with it.

It is, however, the most notable exception in over one millennium of Muslim rule spanning from Gibraltar to Micronesia. You won't find any others like it.

The text I usually recall when considering the topic of Muhammad in The Bible is by a former Roman Catholic priest of the Uniate-Chaldean persuasion, well versed in Aramaic, Arabic, Hebrew and Greek. A copy of it is available here:

No, this includes others as well, and there is a history of Muslims protecting Buddhists, Sikhs and Hindus as 'People of the Book', however much we're led to believe otherwise.

    Replies: @muh muh, @Jack McArthur

The Quran describes the attempted sacrifice of a son (37:102..) followed by the giving of another son called Isaac (37:112) and therefore the common view, and what seems to be the plain reading of the text, is that the sacrificial son is Ishmael whereas the Bible says it is Isaac.

It is the enormity of that willing sacrifice of the long awaited son by his wife Sarah rather than concubine, “your son, your only son—yes, Isaac, whom you love so much” that in context of the rest of the biblical text points to Isaac as being the original story .

Christians commonly believe “your only son ” and the ram in the bush as a theophany (crown of thorns) foreshadows that of Jesus as “your only son” (of god) on Calvary. They would also see the multitudes of Abrahams seed being fulfilled in Christianity. The biblical text describes Ishmael as “a wild donkey of a man; his hand will be against everyone and everyone’s hand against him, and he will live in hostility toward all his brothers” (Gen 16:1) which is the foundation for the common view in Christianity and Judaism that these characteristics are reflected even today in Islam, ergo the biblical text is verified in their minds.

If I understand the argument correctly and that abrogation is accepted in principle then what is the objection to the Quran texts being subject to abrogation?

The biblical texts claim self referentially that they were rediscovered after upheavels. https://biblehub.com/sermons/auth/orr/the_finding_of_the_law-book.htm
The point I am making is that it is an apple and orange comparison – the Quran appeared in the lifetime of one man whereas the biblical text spans centuries. The text of the former had a much easier path of transmission to the latter but that doesn’t signify by itself divine authorship. The whole style, or if I can put “voice”, of both books seem very different although albeit I read both in English.

Do you have a crib sheet/summary of the biblical texts and the claimed mentions of Muhammad? The one I vaguely remember related to dove/paraclete/holy spirit and his name but that seemed far fetched when read in context of the NT, i.e. Pentecost, the giving of the holy spirit, the new creation hovering over the womb of Mary as once it did over the waters of the deep …..

Thank you for taking the time to reply in some depth.

It's doubtless that religion plays a foundational role in the conflict. I appreciate your effort to draw distinctions among the dominant religious perspectives affecting the fate of the region, since the typical western response is to conclude they are essentially equal -- a lazy analysis, to be certain.

That said, there are some matters that need addressing:

Islam (any of the varieties) maintains that it will replace all religions

No, The Qur'an states that Islam will prevail over other religions [9: 33], a reference to what Muslims believe is the inherent superiority of the faith. Looking at the history of Muslim conquest, we find that, with some outstanding exceptions, Muslims did not destroy non-Muslim houses of worship, nor convert them to mosques. Rather, they believed they were divinely charged with the protection of non-Muslim subjects, granting them religious liberty.

Had it been otherwise, none of the ancient synagogues and churches of Jerusalem would have remained intact to this day.

As far as the contending claims of the Abrahamic faiths are concerned, Muslims hold that those of the House of Israel entrusted with preservation of scripture corrupted the record, for which some scholars cite Jeremiah 8: 8 and Isaiah 28: 14-15 as evidence. Christianity, at least as it was advanced by Saul of Tarsus, is said to have been an undeniably Jewish invention, misdirecting gentiles into believing that salvation lies in Israel rather than in Ishmael. (Is this not what most of them currently believe?)

In spite of all this purported corruption, many Muslims maintain that numerous biblical prophecies allude to Islam and Muhammad. In the following video, a rabbi who later converted to Islam explains a number of these:

Jews exhibit normal homo sapiens behavior. To some who are not Jews this appears evil but good and evil are matters of moral judgement and this is affected by which side of an US/THEM divide the person judging stands with respect to the person judged .

The US/THEM divide exists in every homo sapiens brain and most are incapable of seeing actions by their US as evil when they see the same actions by THEM as evil.

Seeing those who differ from US as inferior and of evil tendency is normal. The difference that makes THEM THEM can be political beliefs race, religion, socioeconomic status or ..........

This US/THEM divide makes members of species homo sapiens incapable of understanding that normal homo sapiens behavior because the divide makes them incapable of seeing actions of people with whom they feel affiliation in the same light as they see the same actions by thse with whom they don't feel affiliation.

The Creator in Ancient Egypt is described in texts dated to c. 2000 (1130CT) “I made all people equal [alt. same]”. Compare with the divinely sanctioned racism of the OT which comes much later and the pure evil of the Talmudic texts which regard non Jews as animals.

Maurice Samuel at the time of publishing “You Gentiles” (I see a jew has sanitized the wiki article) refers more than once to the animal spirit of non Jews and he was coming from a secular Jew position but that ancestral spirit can continue to work in a through a believer or non believer. The racial supremacist wing of NS was indeed the flip side of the same coin as Talmudic Judaism. To be fair even the gospels have Jesus referring to non Jews as dogs and similar sentiments exist in Islam hence stories:

Here is the God the Spaniards worship. For these they fight and kill; for these they persecute us and that is why we have to throw them into the sea… They tell us, these tyrants, that they adore a God of peace and equality, and yet they usurp our land and make us their slaves. They speak to us of an immortal soul and of their eternal rewards and punishments, and yet they rob our belongings, seduce our women, violate our daughters. Incapable of matching us in valor, these cowards cover themselves with iron that our weapons cannot break…[5]…Before he was burned, a priest asked Hatuey if he would accept Jesus and go to heaven. Las Casas recalled the reaction of the chief:

[Hatuey], thinking a little, asked the religious man if Spaniards went to heaven. The religious man answered yes… The chief then said without further thought that he did not want to go there but to hell so as not to be where they were and where he would not see such cruel people. This is the name and honour that God and our faith have earned.[7][8] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hatuey

The OT begins with a closer relationship between man and god in the mystical garden of Eden. In Ancient Egyptian mythology the relationship is even stronger because we are made symbolically from the joyful tears of Re but in both cases something goes wrong and the Creator becomes separated to some degree i.e. man is evicted from the mystical Garden into this world and in the latter Re goes to the sky and made manifest in the Sun.

As it happens the primary constituent of the Sun (i.e. Re), and part of us, is hydrogen and so when Carl Sagan says "The cosmos is within us. We are made of star-stuff." it has a ring of truth about it. Coincidentally the hieroglyph for Re is very close to the particle model of hydrogen.

The aforementioned separation between man and the divine is bridged in Christianity and Ancient Egypt since both are incarnational, both declaring that God is love and both describing a divination process of man: “It is No Longer I That Live, But Christ Lives in Me” (Gal 2:19) which begins in this life. Ancient Egyptian texts are saturated in such beliefs.

This idolatry takes shape as “fear and trembling,” adulation and obeisance, demanded by tormenting entities trying vainly to play “God.” The only “price-of-admission” to the Neverending LoveSong and MatingDance of LifeHerownself and LoveHisownself is our precious attention, unconditional affection, and mutual respect.

These are not extorted from us by a contrived system of rewards-and-punishments, but come naturally to us by virtue of having been brought into being through those same essential elements present in those in whose image and likeness we are made. We sure don’t envy our domesticated Human Relations tricked into believing their “Creator” to be some some “jealous” control freak who, as it happens, foolishly “spoke” out-of-turn.

    "divinization" for "divination"

    , @Constant Walker
    @Jack McArthur

Time was we all knew our origins and our essential nature as being inseparable and indistinguishable from those whose LoveSong and MatingDance make and sustain us. When some invasive tormenting entities showed up here awhile back, with their “better idea,” and started running their world wrecking “civilization” disease program, they had to work with what they found here.

Naturally, our Free Wild LivingLoving Arrangement responded to this imposition with sensible resistance. The disease process of-course includes an immune suppression regime. That regime picked out the Human component of our immune function as what was mistakenly perceived as the “weakness” in our LivingLoving Arrangement that could be exploited by co-opting and corrupting those of us seeming to be susceptible to the regime’s active agent, the “self” sickness, and infecting them with it.

The method deployed is exactly like that found present in every aspect of the program’s operations. The workings of the iniquitous “pharma” industry is perfectly illustrative. Find some naturally occurring plant, for example, known to have beneficial properties of a curative kind, and break it down into its constituent parts to discover and isolate the supposed-to-be “active ingredient.” Then synthesize that substance and market it to a population mostly already cut-off from access to its original source where they are nevertheless still actually living and breathing every Day.

So these tormenting entities, recognizing our common sense of our origins and essential nature in the Neverending LoveSong and MatingDance of our makers, concocted a “narrative” claiming that the “active”principle/principal in our LivingLoving Arrangement , and therefore the only one worthy of recognition, affection, and respect , was The Creative. Thus its Organically indispensable counterpart and complement, The Receptive, was relegated to a subordinate and inferior and ultimately disposable status.

We are all of us intensely familiar with the multi-millennial marketing campaign that has sold this lopsided and crazy false narrative to the domesticated Humans captivated by the “self” sickness and “civilization” and thereby rendered organically dysfunctional, compromising the Function of the Human component of our natural immune system….temporarily. Nothing the tormentors and their wannabe de-naturing wasting disease process can inflict on us, though, can actually change our given essential nature and Function here in the Free Wild LivingLoving Arrangement of Earth and Sky. Nothing can change the Natural Fact that Creative and Receptive are equally and inseparably essential to making and sustaining All There Is.

One inevitable effect of his crazy scheme is that the imbalance and disharmony it introduces, because those are critical to its operations, become finally systemic. These are unavoidably fed back into the program itself, leading finally to its own “self”-inflicted destruction.

That is precisely what is happening right now, here deep into the terminal stage of the wasting disease process. The virtual word-o’-hurt symptomatic of the disease is itself disintegrating in “real time.” That this is seen as catastrophic by many of our Human Relations presently confined within its illusions, and so needing to be prevented at all costs, is of-course understandable….though not by them actually understood. That there is nothing they can do to prevent Nature running Her course is effectively beyond their comprehension presently. So the weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth only gets more and more intense.

Cutting through all that might prove impossible, but The GrandMothers still say we should try. So this Old Man would just remind our tame Sisters and Brothers of The Way through it all. First, get over your own too-precious sickening “self.” Get over the paralyzing fear it keeps you prisoners of. Then recover the Natural Organic Form of our Kind wherein resides the Integrity essential to fulfillment of our Given Organic Function. • Maybe there is something in it:

These late eclipses in the sun and moon portend no good to us: though the wisdom of nature can reason it thus and thus, yet nature finds itself scourged by the sequent effects: love cools, friendship falls off, brothers divide: in cities, mutinies; in countries, discord; in palaces, treason; and the bond cracked ‘twixt son and father. This villain of mine comes under the prediction; there’s son against father: the king falls from bias of nature; there’s father against child. We have seen the best of our time: machinations, hollowness, treachery, and all ruinous disorders, follow us disquietly to our graves” (Shakespeare, King Lear)
