I agree with you that people who own only their trade however well-paid don’t fetch very high, but the day the said tradesman open a business, if only a restaurant, he is in the real top class by his occupation, and is authorized to look down upon all college graduates as so many prospect low salary employees, and if they happen to be women he is the boss. That I observed among people from Vietnam, with the difference that their diplomas were in real hard sciences and subjects most often, not imaginary fields of study.
