I have told this to others here on Unz, but I will say it again. I recently spent over $2,000 for the purchase and installation of a 30' high commercial aluminum flagpole here at my residence. I fly a 5' x 10' American flag and a 3' x 5' Gadsden flag (Don't Tread On Me) below it.

I did NOT put up the flagpole in honor of any sitting Representative or Senator, that group of persons for whom I have nothing but contempt. Also, it was NOT put up in honor of ANY recent U.S. president, including and since Lyndon Johnson.

I had the flagpole installed in honor of the Founding Fathers of my country. I believe that they did the best that they could do, considering what they had to work with.

An excellent video which summarizes the ills of our country and which offers a simple solution to its problems is titled "Original Intent." The subject of the documentary is the U.S. constitution and how it has been subverted over the years. I would suggest that you watch it and you will see how far we have fallen from the ideals that begat our country.
